The room wasn’t as clean, nor did they have true flexibility; however, it was manageable to stay for the night.
- 5/5
Location and price point are great for DC area with easy access to the metro. Walkable area with Whole Foods near for simple breakfast, lunch or snacks. Entrance from street (vs parking ramp which i never checked out) was poorly marked. One enters a nondescript elevator atrium taking you to higher floor reception—wondering all along-“is this the right place?”—well it was.
- 5/5
Super nice place to stay! Would do it again if given the chance :)
- 5/5
Everything was great and the Customer Service was top notch.
- 5/5
I like everything the stuff the restaurant worker's very nice
- 5/5
Clean room, good location.
- 5/5
Good hotel and facilities for the area.
- 5/5
Everything was perfect. The lady at the check-in desk was so nice at midnight when we checked in. The hotel is great and I love that they have a patio outside with no smoking. Great location great facility.
- 2/5
I am used to hotel rooms having support for USB devices. There were 0 USB ports. Parking was 5 flights up and down a twisty-turning parking garage. Parking is reasonable at $1.25 per hour, but a hassle. The hotel restaurant was delicious and had a great variety of food. It was understaffed, and the food took an extra long time to arrive.
- 5/5
A fantastic place to stay in downtown Silver Springs - highly recommend.
- 5/5
My 2 day stay was great. I stayed Memorial Day weekend Saturday-Monday. I always stay in SS when I come to the DMV. Since my favorite hotel downtown SS closed I stayed here and will be staying here many times again. Great location and the plus for me was the access to Gold Gym. Clean room, nice size bathroom, friendly staff, and accessible and convenient parking.
- 5/5
Excellent stay, would stay here again.
- 5/5
How keeping didn't do a good jog when moved chair trash and bottle was underneath.
- 5/5
Cooperative and helpful especially the guy who was in the front desk he is so professional
- 5/5
Everything was good
- 0.5/5
Noting really The parking garage with no real cameras over 34 car got broken into
- 4/5
Property bit worn but generally clean. Staff very nice
- 4/5
Good Accessibility for Parkin any time
- 3/5
Di not let them place you in a room on the entry level. You hear noise from the lobby, and they are located one floor down from a commercial gym. I could hear people running on a treadmill and the staff was aware of that issue when they placed me in the room. The lobby is almost always noisy, and if people are smoking near garage you can smell that too. I stay here only for convenience when visiting my kids who live nearby but if there were another Marriott where I could use rewards I’d go there. Also, the furniture needs to be replaced. Drawers won’t stay shut. Bathrooms are not always stocked fully. Staff is not particularly helpful and often seem overwhelmed.
- 4/5
The parking easily access. The staff friendly and very professional. The room was comfortable
- 4/5
Nice, healthy selection of breakfast. Food was tasty and Reasonably priced.
- 4/5
All in all a good stay. Hotel is convenient. Parking is easy and facilities are nice. Housekeep was a bit sloppy. They didn't replace the coffee and cups for the Keurig machine. Lids didn't fit the cups. Iron didn't work. Small stuff, but annoying in the moment.
- 5/5
Great location, nice staff, great experience
- 4/5
Did not like the fact that they would not let me book a room in person.
- 5/5
Great experience. Parking garage for reserved, close to venues, shopping and also dispensary lol. Clean and fun for Me and the family.
- 4/5

- 5/5

Excellent location Quiet room Clean Reception staff extraordinarily professional, friendly and kind both checking in, throughout stay and check out Parking a bit pricey
- 3/5
Breakfast prices are ridiculous $14 for toast was mind blown … they had no hand soap in bathroom but overall not a bad stay.. was a quick one night family trip I would stay again
- 5/5
The location was great and the staff extremely friendly and helpful
- 5/5
Very convenient
- 4.5/5
Very nice, clean hotel. The front desk staff was exceptionally helpful, giving me directions and helping me with the metro system. The breakfast was more expensive than expected. I also had to fix the toilet so it could flush. Easy fix. Price of food. Toilet stopped flushing, but I was able to fix easily
- 5/5
Clean room.
- 3/5
Shout out to the Ovn team , I saw them going above & Beyond for guest, more especially the man that was assisting Front desk , I don't if his security or Engr. Great Job y'all are doing. The fact that the bath ? top retains water in Rm 725 , i let them know on my way out at the Front Office, I hope they let the Engr team know , for 2days water won't flow out in the bath while I take shower, please put that room out of service, fix the issue before you continue to sale that particular room @Hskp manager , please make it a habit to walk most room that is already serviced for the day before guests arrives , that way you will deal with many issues before hand .
- 3.5/5
The property was in a great location And the staff were fantastic. Also had great security. The room needed to be updated. Furniture is very worn out and there were stains on the couches. The room was clean but felt dirty with how worn out it was.
- 4/5
Clean room but too old in the way like you are walking in the 80's. room too dark and bathroom are old.
- 5/5
The hotel is quite central in the city with lots of surrounding restaurants and businesses. Easy to access from the airport and self-parking is convenient.
- 3.5/5
There was no trash cans in my room
- 5/5
The staff was bright, helpful, and amazing! I truly enjoyed my stay and will definitely be returning. Keep up the fantastic work, Marriott Courtyard - Downtown Silver Spring!
- 5/5
Ok
- 5/5
Very clean and staff was very friendly and professional.
- 5/5
Very helpful staff. Clean. Large room with sofa.
- 1/5
Room had a broken sink, cracked by overflow. Bathtub had been painted and it was peeling. Noise from Golds Gym dropping weights until 10 pm. Had to pay for parking! Bad
- 5/5
Had a great stay here! Jan in the kitchen has the best service, was helpful and friendly, as was all the staff here. Food & drinks were amazing, room was clean and comfortable. Right in the heart of Silver Spring! I’ll definitely be back!
- 5/5
The front desk staff was absolutely delightful. She greeted us with a warm smile and checked us in quickly and efficiently. Her professionalism and friendly attitude made our arrival feel effortless. A wonderful start to our stay!
- 5/5
Very comfortable room with eye catching downtown views. Service was awesome!
- 3/5
Returning from dinner we asked the front desk clerks about the gym and was given a non chalant response. Rooms should be updated.
- 2.5/5
Beds were comfortable Hair on my pillow when we checked in sink would not drain water and no warm water so was unable to take a shower!
- 5/5
Our stay at the Downtown Courtyard was fantastic. The parking garage being attached to the hotel was a bonus. Our room was clean and we were greeted by a wonderful employee at check-in. Would defiantly stay here again
- 4.5/5
The front desk staff was extremely courteous and professional during my check in and when I checked out. I did not see the cleaning staff, but they did a nice job of tidying up my room while I attended a conference at the civic building. It was great that the hotel was across the street from the civic building. A CVS, Dunkin Donuts, H&M, and Men's Warehouse store were all within walking distance, as was an upscale soul food restaurant, Miss Toya's Creole House. Other restaurants and a local public library were also nearby. The hotel's internet service was excellent. I was able to check my work email and stay current with regards to work projects. The hotel is sufficiently close to the Red Line subway station, a walk of about six blocks along Wayne Avenue. The subway gets one to DC in less than 15 minutes. The MARC train is available for travel to other parts of the DMV/BWI area, while a barber shop and a nail salon are close by too. If you are inclined to drive, the hotel has plenty of parking. If you bank with Chase, Truist, or Santander, ATMs are nearby. A microwave and a snack bar are near the registration area. The hotel's restaurant is in that area too. I thought that it was odd that the hotel's first floor did not contain the check-in area. However, I recall the Marriott near Gallaudet University being similarly structured. As is often the case with hotel snacks, they were overpriced. I spent $4.24 for a 20-ounce bottle of soda. The CVS across the street had two 20-ounce bottles of seltzer water for $3.99.
- 5/5
Clean room, friendly staff and very quiet place to stay. I enjoyed my stay.
- 2/5
Noisy. Did not rest well.
- 5/5
Nice room
- 5/5
Nothing to complain about
- 5/5

- 4.5/5
Responsive service, particularly room service when notified and overall friendly dispositions of staff. Didnt have toothbrushes
- 5/5
It was good coffee and donuts
- 5/5
The gentleman who check me in was very polite and I also watched him handle a very ignorant customer properly. That man needs a raise!! I don’t remember his name.
- 3.5/5
No breakfast included. I had to pay for parking in a deck next door.
- 5/5
It was a great experience.
- 5/5
Good stay
- 5/5
The location, staff, and service. And the view from my room.? The bridge I'm afraid of heights. But it's stay there again and again for the great service and staff.
- 4/5
Everything was great - except the food. For the prices, it should be much better quality. There’s only a Bistro - no restaurant or bar. The man at the bistro was kind of rude as well. In a downtown area like Silver Spring, not having to leave the hotel to find food, or order it is a big plus. Nonetheless, the room was very clean and the service was good. Thank you!

99% excellent
- 5/5
Staff was friendly and very helpful! The room was pretty standard but nice and clean. I didn’t necessarily like the pillows they were a little too soft for my taste but I’m sure that’s just a personal preference. All in all it was a nice stay.
- 5/5
The hotel was very walkable. The parking situation was great. You do not have to pay for night parking, only during the day. The gym was my favorite. It was huge with a lot of machines and options for your workout.
- 5/5
staff, clean and spacious rooms. Access to parking garage is a plus.
- 5/5
Tout était bien, Accueil, propreté, literie.
- 5/5
The breakfast menu seemed very varied.
- 5/5
Close to theater district, shopping, food, etc. One thing that would have helped would have been instructions for parking. The address of the hotel is not the same as the parking structure and entrance to the hotel.
- 5/5
Great
- 1/5
Not helpful with post check out needs.
- 5/5
The STAFF was courteous, friendly, and professional. I felt as though I was in an INTERNATIONAL CITY where EVERYONE is treated with respect. Boura, The Bistro, server was especially kind and service-oriented.
- 3/5
The room was in good condition. The staff was friendly. The edge of downtown was shady.
- 5/5
The staff was wonderful — warm and welcoming. 10s across the board!!!
- 5/5
Only stayed one night but enjoyed our stay
- 3/5
Front desk, bistro employees, and security staff are awesome. Had bad shower value in room 404, staff got me in new room in 30 mins. And offered to move everything for me. Much appreciated!!

Lovely
- 5/5
Great convenience for our trip
- 5/5
Parking was difficult to find
- 4/5
Awesome.
- 3/5
The rooms could use a refresh. The bedding smelled a little musty and hallways dark. We didnt get room cleaning on a two night stay, even though it was requested upon check in.
- 5/5
My stay at Courtyard Silver Spring Downtown was really enjoyable because everything was simply perfect! The staff was friendly and helpful!!! (:
- 5/5
i like its convenient
- 5/5
I like everything
- 5/5
I decided to try the Courtyard even though it had less amenities. I am so glad! My room was clean and quiet. I was only disturbed once by another guest knocking on our door accidentally. While this hotel did not have the same amenities, it did not matter! I did not need to eat/drink here because there are so many other options just outside the hotel. Close to everything I needed: Whole Foods, restaurants, CVS, clothing retailers, and the class I was attending. Parking was considerably less than the other hotel!!!!!! Very walkable, safe, clean city.
- 4/5
I didn’t like that there was construction surrounding the property which made it awkward to enter. You had to enter the hotel via the attached parking lot and walk over a connecting bridge. Also cabs were unreliable according to the staff and you had to wait for cabs in front of the parking area.
- 4/5
We booked the free shuttle service to get to a play. We were told it would arrive in 10 minutes. We were still waiting 25 minutes later. No one came to inform us. We had to go back upstairs to the desk and ask. We were told the supervisor needed something, so it was delayed. We had to pay for a Lyft and rush to make it to the play.
- 5/5
Staff was extremely pleasant and helpful. Will certainly return when travel to D.C.
- 5/5
Best
- 5/5
Hotel itself was very nice, clean, friendly staff & location was great!
- 5/5
The room was pretty spacious. The small sofa couch was perfect for my 9yo and he had space to lay out his toys and enjoy. The restaurant staff did seem overwhelmed by the number of people ordering in the morning, but did their best and the food was good. The road immediately surrounding the hotel is under construction which was inconvenient for driving but the parking deck always had spaces and walking to the nearby shopping, restaurants, and movie theatre was great. The train was also just a short walk. By far the best location to stay outside DC.
- 2/5
Guests were not informed in advance of the lack of curbside entry in front of hotel, and the requirement to park around the block in a parking structure. Due to multiple street closures, it was difficult to locate hotel entry and lot. Worst of all, there was NO internet access during our stay. NO communication about it from hotel staff. Guests should have been given a discount on their rooms due to the internet issue! Staff was barely engaged when problems brought to their attention. No apology for any of the issues noted above.
- 4/5
saft and quiet. Parking during 10pm-7am is free. At daytime, parking charge is based on hours, with reasonable rate
- 5/5
Safe, clean, and close to The Fillmore.
- 3/5
The hotel itself was clean and sufficient. As of my stay in July 2025, the entire neighborhood around the hotel is under construction. We drove around for probably 25 min trying to figure out how to get in to check in. We finally found a sign that said "Courtyard Silver Spring Entrance This Way" and turned down a road with no parking that dead ended in construction with an entrance to the hotel that you couldn't access without a key card. Thankfully another guest let us in so we could get to the front desk and get some direction on where to park and access the hotel entrance. The entire ordeal put us in a bad mood after taking nearly an hour to check in. While my SO moved the car to the correct location, I did attempt to get us a drink at the bar and gave up after being ignored by the only staff member working there for about 20 minutes.
- 5/5

A good place to stay. But bring your own pillows, water, and food
- 5/5
Loved the room and how spacious the room is. We stayed here to go to the Beyonce concert to use the senate transportation shuttle service.
- 5/5
Great location. Shopping and restaurants within walking distance. Convenient parking off Wayne Avenue. This was my second stay here. Visiting family who live only 15 minutes away. Look forward to staying there again.
- 4/5
We had a very nice time staying here…the staff are extremely friendly and helpful and the location is great if you are trying to stay right in the middle of Silver Spring.

- 3/5
Only stay here if you are going to an event in the area.
- 5/5
Check in was quick and easy. Lots to do in walking distance right around the hotel. Only downside was construction right outside, bed could be more comfortable.
- 5/5
It was a great experience.
- 5/5
This is a very nice hotel. It is near shopping and activities. I would definitely stay again if in the area. Staff was helpful.
- 5/5
Lots of construction on the road around the hotel. A little difficult to navigate if you don’t know the city. Otherwise excellent location and close to lots of restaurants and space is for entertainment.
- 3/5
First off, my bathroom sink drain was slow to drain & just about clogged. Interior hotel was tired feeling and definitely needing sprucing up. Things like hand sanitizer by elevator was empty. Just lack of attention to easy things.
- 5/5
The staff ( A tall guy) at the front desk was nice and very helpful, who also went the trouble of his way to help us with the packing machine.
- 3/5
It’s ok
- 4/5
Parking and check in were easy. The staff were amazing! The rooms were average. We stayed in a standard double queen room. The bathroom were dated with
- 5/5
We stay at this location every time when in the area, that’s enough to say it’s more than good enough for us to keep coming back.
- 3/5
The toilet flushes extremely loud! I shouldn't have to be awoken by that sound!
- 1/5
Ants all over the place was gross
- 5/5
Good location
- 5/5
Booking process was extremely simple. The location was excellant. Cancellation was quick and easy.
- 5/5
Staff was super helpful & friendly. Room was clean, bed was comfortable, and the location was convenient to lots of food, transportation, & shopping options. I would definitely stay here again if my travels take me to the DC area.
- 3/5
I have no major complaints about the hotel. It is far too expensive. We had a stellar view of the top of a parking garage. There is no breakfast. In short, it is an OK hotel, in the middle of town, that costs 2-3 times what it should cost.
- 5/5
The property was very clean, staff were all friendly and helpful, the cafe in lobby was handy, and parking was convenient on the 5th floor of garage with a door directly in to the lobby. Great water pressure in the shower too!
- 5/5
Property was great, staff friendly. Went overnight for a concert at The Fillmore. Short walk. Very convenient.
- 5/5
Very nice place to stay
- 3/5
Staff not very helpful. Having their phones available on duty should be banned
- 2/5
I used this 3rd party booking service which I will never do again, I didn't get the room I thought I selected and the price was very different when I got to the hotel to check-in about a $75 difference. Ended up with a handicapped room that had a malfunctioning key pad so I wasn't able to get into the room with key card which ended up having to be master reset with a master key fob. I also didn't like the fact maintenance was sent to the room at 1a.m. after we told the front desk don't worry about the lock were in for the night! They could've wait til we checked out to address their key pad issue since the problem was only getting into the room with the key card.
- 5/5
No free breakfast and no pool
- 3/5
It was fine
- 2/5
The sheets did not smell like they were clean and they had stains on them. We didn't realize that till we got up the next morning there was no water bottles in the room. The shower/bathtub was stuck on shower mode. My wife was hoping to actually sit in a warm bath but that could not happen. The parking situation was less than desirable

The room wasn’t dirty, per say… but I didn’t feel comfortable walking barefoot and the bed was weird
- 4/5
Staff was friendly, small items like drinks as overpriced as u might expect, not a great deal of choice. After 1st few hours of 2 night stay, TV would no longer connect to internet for streaming services. I did not find this to be a great value...but it was convenient, comfortable and secure
- 5/5
I like how cozy it was and the service was great
- 5/5
Excellent
- 1/5
This review is for the Quality Inn front desk service was horrible and displayed and lack of accommodation.
- 2/5
I called to ask about parking and was told there was uncovered onsite parking and when we arrived discovered it was street parking.
- 5/5
Close to downtown
- 3/5
It appeared short staffed and thr way, the access to the hotel was set up, makes it very unwelcoming.
- 5/5
Spacious room and very clean. Friendly and helpful staff. Great location for dining and walking.
- 5/5
Parking garage with hotel entrance is great safe
- 3/5
A few old things in the bathroom like no exhaust fan but overall it was great!
- 5/5
This hotel was had several safety features that made us feel very comfortable, as well as ample parking in the garage. Parking was free between 10PM-7AM which was a bonus! Several restaurants and shopping places within walking distance. We had a wonderful stay!
- 5/5
Numerous dining options within walking distance
- 2/5
I felt very safe there. The ice machine on my floor did not work I told the front desk but it never got fixed I was there for 4 days. The tv in my room was terrible the top half was dark. The little fridge in my room barely got cool also told them about that and a guest service guy came and checked it and said it was fine.
- 5/5
Shopping and restaurants were close.
- 5/5
I was in town for the inauguration. It was a short uber or train ride to get to everything, and there is a lot of restaurants within a 5 minute walk of the hotel.
- 5/5
Good clean hotel for one night stay. Will stag again.
- 5/5
Beautiful and very clean.

Easy access very friendly

- 5/5
Clean and professional
- 5/5
Close proximity to everything!
- 3/5
It was ok - the bed was not a very comfortable
- 5/5
Great hotel but will have to park in a parking garage. It cost about $10 to park for the night.
- 5/5
Rooms were very clean. Staff was friendly. Parking was an ease in the parking structure right next door. And yes. Like everyone wonders… the water pressure in the shower was good. lol
- 5/5
Easy and worked well for our needs.
- 4/5
Great staff
- 5/5
The hotel stay was very good. It was clean, and they allowed me to check in early. The room was spacious and clean. The only issue I have is not having a microwave in the room. In case we wanted to heat our food up. Instead of having to come downstairs to the front desk to heat up food.
- 5/5
The hotel is in a great location near lots of things to do. Close to a metro station to get into Washington DC. The staff was friendly and a comforting lobby
- 4/5
Location location location… this hotel is basically part of an outdoor mall so everything is steps away and really convenient! The hotel is showing its age but it’s clean and the staff is very friendly and helpful. I parked at a meter over night a block away and had no issues. Room was comfortable and worth the price.
- 5/5
Great property! Wonderful staff. A must stay for a Maryland visit!
- 5/5
It was excellent
- 4/5
Overall good stay.
- 5/5
Jessica was EXCELLENT!!!!! She helped me find a place for my hair, she was really above and beyond in kindness!
- 5/5
Great location
- 5/5
It was nice. A bit confusing to find the entrance. They should have more signage stating to use next door farage to 5th floor. Also parking was not free and a bit confusing to pay w an app. We needed a code to log the car plate etc…
- 3/5
As a Marriott elite status member, I usually receive a special welcome, free upgrade, and water at the desk. Nothing of the sort. Just a standard check in and very minimal service.
- 5/5
This is a clean, quiet and well run hotel. What more can i say?
- 5/5
We've stayed here a few times and have always enjoyed our stay. Very clean, friendly staff, location is excellent.
- 5/5
The convenience to the Metro is great. Staff is super friendly and accommodating. Everyone greets you and is willing to help with questions.
- 5/5
Decent place to stay
- 5/5
This hotel is in downtown Silver Spring, surrounded by entertainment and eating options—easy walking distance. The staff was wonderful, and facility was closer to excellent, but just a bit worn. We would definitely stay there again.
