The woman working in the breakfast room was Fantastic and I’m embarrassed that I can’t remember her name. Breakfast was fine I asked the front desk to have my room cleaned and give me fresh towels but it wasn’t done and then I found a cleaning lady on my floor who didn’t speak English but “told” me that my room wasn’t hers. Eventually I managed to get towels!!!

The hotel was nice, a little dated and could use some upgrades in the room but it was a clean and quiet space for my trip. The staff from the front desk to the maintenance people were very nice and helpful. The area surrounding the hotel was nice and safe, even when I had to come back late. I didn’t try the amenities, but the starbucks on the first floor was very convenient. There are also alot of shops and restaurants nearby that are in walking distance. Overall i enjoyed my stay and would come back again!

Checked in late at night. My room had a soiled bed. Went down to the reception to inform the front desk staff - not sure he believed me. Came down again after half hour requesting clean sheets again. He sent sent security with a set of bedding. Showed him the soiled sheets and he went to get a second set of bedding (2 queen bed room). He wanted to make sure we had two sets of clean bedding. Upon checkout, the lady at the front desk was very apologetic about the my ordeal. Other than the soiled sheets, stay went well. Nice location.

The room was extremely dirty. Someone left a hat in there so it definitely wasn’t cleaned thoroughly. The AC went had loads of dust and the bathroom had mold all over the tile and the faucet handle was broken.

There is no microwave in the room, I hated the shower head and the elevators take forever to come at times but other than that the hotel is good I really enjoyed my stay. Staff is nice and they made sure you felt welcomed. Thank you

Understaffed, long and slow check in, slow elevators, expensive parking, stairs inaccessible, and bed was hard and lumpy.

We booked our reservation through Hotels.com, which we have done numerous times before without event. They did not have our reservation when we arrived, but we were able to rebook. Front desk implied it was hotels.com’s fault. Called hotels.com and there was a mildly helpful woman who was clearly outsourced from India who tried to resolve but front desk wouldn’t answer their call. After we noticed a charge on our credit card from the original reservation, the front desk “found” our original reservation. Unsure who was at fault here, as fingers were pointed in both directions. We did get an extra cookie for our hassle. Room was perfect.

We really like this hotel—the staff are terrific! Beds are ok, love the dining area and Starbuck’s in the lobby!

Good service

Expensive stay but close to many restaurants and the concert venue I had tickets to. Had to pay for parking in the hotel's underground garage, which was $24 overnight. When in room, went to sit on sofa and found a dead bug on the cushion. Bathroom didn't have soap next to sink but a bottle mounted to wall that read "lotion" and was just lotion so had to use body wash from shower to wash hands. Breakfast cost over $20/person so we didn't eat at the hotel. Also found extra charge on credit card but got the run around when trying to call and find out what it was for. Wouldn't stay there again and would never recommend to my friends and family.

Lighting is dim in room. Entryway is big, which leads to hearing more noise in the common hallway. Shower curtain takes up too much shower space. No hand soap at bathroom sink.

Poor mantained. No cups in gym room water cooler, no bags in the trash. Tissue box and soap dispenser were empty. Toilet has 1900 style bath and shower curtain. But staff was very nice and helpful.

It was a nice stay. Clean room. Nice location. Would recommend better communication and friendliness. Some employees did not seem happy to be there and it showed.

The front desk staff were so friendly! The lady let us know of all the amenities included in our stay as well as set us up for our new Hilton membership to help us with parking and future endeavors. I will return if I ever find myself back in Silver Spring!

Parking was a complete disaster. Had to pay extra which I was not aware of, and it was not predominately shown. Parking was very low, and my van got stuck. Some staff were helpful, others were completely unhelpful. Room was fine. Would not return.

Ok hotel. A little dated.

A/C never went below 73 degrees. Front desk associate was not formal and did not set my room key properly. I then needed to come back to the desk and wait 30 minutes to be seen again. The desk associate seemed annoyed that i had a issue and another associate had to resolve the problem.

First room we were given was hot and smelled of something burning, like the fan in the AC. Hotel staff quickly accommodated us in another cool clean room. Hopefully they checked the equipment in the first room immediately. The rest of the stay was pleasant. Only complaint was the noisy AC turning on and off.

Overall, the trip was nice. My only complaint would be the lack of warmth from the front desk attendant when checking in. They were very curt and seemingly annoyed when I asked about parking. Otherwise, the stay was fine.

Upon checking in, the room key didn't work. Engineering had to check that the combination of room keys and a special key was able to get me into my room. It was a room with a connecting door - and I heard the couple in the next room fight all night. In the morning, a mouse shot from under the window behind the couch. Needless to say, i was ready to leave.

The staff was by far the best part of the stay. From the time I checked in until my departure I have nothing but good things to say about the staff. The restaurant and bar Mica was spacious and comfortable. A very nice selection at the bar and the food menu was also a pleasant surprise. Blanca and Hana waited on us for a Saturday evening meal and drinks and they too were especially helpful, attentive and provided outstanding service that should be complimented! If you find yourself at that bar ask Blanca for an Emerald Gimlet (it's not on the menu) and you will be pleasantly surprised!

You should have complementary breakfast. You serve the exact same breakfast as hotels that do. Powered eggs. I have a big 1500 Ram pickup truck. Paid for twenty four hour parking, only six spaces big enough for trucks and Vans. I had to search around for a parking spot, after making a turn I hit a wall scraping my truck trying to come out of the garage

This is our 2nd time at this location and it's proven to be as great at the 1st. This will be our go to spot for sure when in the DMV Area. Our son lives in Tacoma, so this is perfect for us as a 12 mins drive. Breakfast is top notch. Parking on site is convenient. A full Starbucks store in the building is amazing. We'll be back.

Leo at the front desk was especially helpful and made sure we had everything we needed for our stay. The room was very clean and spacious. We were in walking distance of the main downtown area with restaurants, shopping, and entertainment venues. There was a small multi floor mall that we had time to explore with a food court and a Dave and Busters. The paid on site parking was definitely worth it for convenience and it was nice to stay out of the weather. Would definitely stay again.

The positive tone for the stay was set by the very engaging, pleasant desk clerk. The room was nicely appointed and the bed very comfortable.

Great location, just around the corner from The Fillmore and in the midst of a lot of fantastic restaurants. The shower water pressure is fantastic and the large bottles of body wash and such are good to have in case you forgot your own stuff, you’ll never run out. The bed was comfortable as well. My only wish was that we had a microwave in our room to reheat leftovers from restaurants. I know there is one in the lobby, but it’s not super convenient to have to travel 9 floors in the elevator just to eat. Also, the lack of Ethernet for internet in the room kind of sucks if you need higher security for your internet connection. The unsecured WiFi network doesn’t exactly make me feel secure when using internet. No EV charging on-site either, you need to travel next door to the food market or other places in the city. The closes supercharger is in Checy Chased a few miles away. Some complimentary or reduced rate charging for customers would be amazing after driving such a long trip. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay and look forward to booking again when we come to our next concert. Thank you again!:

This was the best Double Tree I’ve ever stayed in let alone four star hotel. Congrats on the property!

The parking in the garage is $25, then you have to go back down to the garage to put a pass on your dashboard so you don’t get towed after registering your vehicle. $25 in addition to the over priced room is insane, being handicapped having to go back downstairs is insane. The bed in the room was very uncomfortable along with some type of leaking or dripping sound outside the window. I left early to get out of there, breakfast should be included in the overpriced room but it’s not. Highly disappointed, the cookie at check in, cold and burnt.

$10 for 2 bottles of water is my only complaint. Otherwise, everything was wonderful.

Doubletree Hilton was a nice and relaxing stay in the DC area. It is away from the hustle and bustle of the DC metro area, but a metro train ride to everything. I would highly recommend this hotel.

I called the front desk around 5:00 AM to request a room change, but the receptionist was unwilling to assist me. I was very surprised and disappointed by the lack of support, especially at that hour when I was already exhausted. This experience did not meet the standards I expect from the DoubleTree brand, and I would appreciate it if you could look into the matter.

The staff and management were extremely cordial, professional, and gracious. They provided me with topnotch accommodations ~ including a complimentary early check-in. The building's infrastructure has a sleek interior design, ambiance ~ coupled with an exceptional visual esthetic and appeal. It made for such a pleasant atmosphere throughout my visit. As to the suite's comfortability and cleanliness, this hotel's space couldn't have been more appealing! It was quite cozy and the city views capturing a clear shot of the Mormon Temple were truly spectacular... Conveniently situated in a prime location, I would highly recommend one patronize this flagship model hotel.

no in room microwaves, stayed for 4 nights and room service didn't come in until the day BEFORE I left, staff were confused about the training and parking deal, room sink was clogging. asked for help with the printer in the business center and the guy forgot about me and started doing something else. I had to go back and ask for help again

I would’ve liked real glassware in my room and we had to call for help on a few items but they were resolved quickly. The price was very good for this type of quality hotel.

Minus - bottled water is supplied only the first day. Hyatt gives it every day. At $200 per day you can't supply a couple of water bottles? The noise level of the AC was ridiculous. If we hadn't been so exhausted we would have asked for a room change. On our final day we had a few drunk and loud girls move into the next room and we called down to complain about the noise at 11 PM when they woke us up. We heard the phone ring but no impact on the high noise level. After twenty minutes of continuing noise we banged on the door between the rooms and asked for quiet. Minutes later the desk called us and yelled at us that we should not have taken matters into our own hands, even though they had been completely ineffective. Shortly thereafter the manager moved the occupants to another room. When I cehcked out I was told there were no additional charges and I was not given a bill. Two days later I saw an additional charge on my AmExp and when I called to get the details was told to leave a message and so far no one has returned my call. Doubletree was always a step up business class hotel. This experience was disappointing and I'll try others before returning.

We arrived at hotel in the morning. The hotel allowed us to check in early so we can rest. The property condition is good. Parking is easy.

Additionally, you had to return to the lobyy anytime that you wanted ice.

My reservation was supposed to have come with breakfast but they charged me $23 and $24 parking. This is expenses unplanned.

After Hotel Silver Spring folded, which was my go-to for a single night stay after getting the train up from Richmond for a show at the Fillmore, I was worried. Then I found the DoubleTree which is far superior in every way, just as close to the venue and wasnt more than 20$ pricier. 5/5

The hotel was ideally located to the apartment complexes I was visiting. Plus an excellent nail salon and irganic grocery store next door.

Spacious and clean rooms. Comfortable bed and nice bedding. AC makes slight noise above average and can be improved.

The front desk ladies were funny and welcoming! Only parking available was paid parking. The shower was a bit small.

Everything was good except the bed and pillows being a little to firm/hard.

The bathroom was full of black mold all around, the corners of the floor dirty with mold and the shower was sorry with a lot of mold on the corners.

Check-in/out was easy! The hotel is beautiful on the inside. Parking lot is located by the hotel. I paid while making the reservation, however I had to pay a $200 incidental fee when I arrived. While I know that hotels usually charge deposits and such, I didn’t see the incidental fee when making the booking so I assumed it was included in the total price. Luckily it’s returned when you check out, so I wasn’t upset. The parking is also $24 a night, which they take from the deposit. The room was amazing and the tv was a great size!! None of those mini tvs that I can’t stand in some hotels. They have a restaurant in the hotel. I paid $96 between my husband and I, yet we only ordered one food item each and two drinks. Pricey! And this was during their “happy hour” haha. Overall, it was still an amazing stay and I would book again!

to all who are making reservations with Hotel.com prepare yourself to encounter major problem. I had a confirmation number and letter but when I came to the hotel they had no record of it. The hotel didn't want to honor my reservation and I arrived late in the afternoon after a long drive to find out I have no room. Called Hotel.com for help but they did nothing except keep me waiting on line for an hour. Never again will I use Hotel.com. BTW another family was standing at the counter with the same problem after booking through Hotel./com

The hotel was very clean and the staff was very helpful and friendly. The room was very clean and we even checked for bedbugs. We found that the mattress was zipped up into a mattress protector, another mattress protector and then the sheets. Very impressed with how far they go to keep the visitors protected. We would definitely stay here again.

The hotel and staff itself were very nice. The only thing I really did not care for was the garage. Dark with low ceilings and not a safe feeling. To exit garage system was a pain also. Otherwise Hotel was great.

The staff was the bomb very professional and kind the young lady that checked me in very professional and kind

Good walkable area with lots of dining and entertainment options. Good cookies at check in but only got 3 since they ran out. Room is comfortable enough and updated. Breakfast is solid. Restaurant is clean and well furnished. Staff is very nice. Only one elevator working when we were checking out. Garage should be painted or something because it looks old. Maybe update the lighting down there as well. Only didnt clean our room the 2nd to last day which was disappointing.

The staff were absolutely fantastic helping me check in. Very fast, very friendly. Hotel is very clean and has a good gym by hotel standards. Fairly centrally located with plenty of on-site parking

Our stay was comfortable. The room was clean and well organized. I didn’t like not having a microwave in the room. My husband said the breakfast was satisfactory. I would stay there again.

The person at the front desk at the time, Lisa, said something snarky like, "I mean, I'm here; it's not like I'm going to go." And that was just one of a few passive aggressive things she said. If you're working in customer service, don't be so nasty.

The hotel is perfectly decent, but my experience with a front desk staff member left me so disgusted. I went to the lobby store to buy a few things a few times and both times she was muttering under her breath saying terribly mean things about me and then when I’d ask her what she was saying she would say something random like “the weather is windy” or just “nothing”. When she did speak to me she gave me so much attitude. I was already going through a lot and am in the area unexpectedly for sad reasons and I haven’t slept in days, and those interactions really hurt me. It was embarrassing for me because it was happening in front of other people, but it was just so mean. I was very upset and it totally ruined my stay. I just needed a place to gather myself and recoup and rest and it was the opposite of that

The property was clean and accommodated short stay. Parking garage is small but convenient and priced low. Location is a short distance from a shopping mall and restaurants.

The water pressure and hot water were great, which is an important feature when you come back in the evening hot, tired and sweaty from a day of seeing the sights! Lovely hotel!
