The breakfast was good

My flight landed in Tampa. I drove to the hotel checked in at 8 o’clock. I had a knee replacement a month ago. I was told sorry the elevators haven’t worked in a week and they won’t work for another week so I had to climb two flights of stairs on a knee replacement. In fact I wasn’t told sorry I was just told the elevators don’t work here’s your key. Breakfast is only open from seven until 930 and it was pathetic. The experience was so bad. I would never stay in any Holiday Inn again. It’s right up there with motel sex. We get what you paid for I guess and I’m not someone who usually writes reviews that are negative. I usually just don’t comment, but this is a brutal experience enough to turn me away from any holiday and express ever again.

The room was clean and comfortable, but it was located on the 2nd floor. The elevator did not work. My 86 year old mother was with us with a mobility issue. That should have been noted on website.

The room was not being cleaned everyday. It was just cleaned the first 2 days. The bathroom door kept getting stuck and did not close properly

Upon arrival to the hotel the front lot had several lights strobing which was very unpleasant and off putting. When we checked in I asked the attendant to make sure we were not in a room on the front side as we did not want to see the strobing. She laughed. Rude! Once in the room we noticed there was no coffee maker. No big deal as they offer coffee in the lobby. There was no hand soap in the bathroom and also no shampoo. They did however provide 2 bottles of conditioner. The shower handle was broken and very hard to turn the water on. The worst part of our stay was waking up to a LIVE cockroach on our bed! This is disgusting and unacceptable. We will not be staying here again! Thankfully we were only booked here for 1 night!

When we checked in bathroom was flooded. We called and it was cleaned. Came back at night and flooded again and roaches all over counter and one in the bathroom. Staff did change our room quickly. No problem with the 2nd room.

I very much enjoyed my stay here, the breakfast was excellent, something for everybody. The laundry room was 24/7 meaning I could wash my clothes in my own time and payment is easy. There's an array of ammenties and local restaurants within a walking distance which was great.

The room was tidy, the staff was great! The only thing that wasn't so great, was the smoking area was right at the front entrance of the property, so we had to walk thru second hand smoke the three times we were leaving. The pool looked dirty, so we never used it. The smoking area was the worst part of staying here.

CHECK IN WAS EASY AND STAFF WAS VERY FRIENDLY. BREAKFAST BUFFET WAS GOOD. THE VARIETY OF OPTIONS HAD SOMETHING FOR MY ENTIRE PARTY. PARKING WAS CONVENIENT AND AREA HAD GOOD LIGHTING. THE ROOM WAS CLEAN AND EVEN HAD PILLOWS I COULD USE COMFORTABLY.

Convenient property. Room still had beer caps and what looked like kibbble at the edge of bed on floor and toilet paper holder was barely hanging on. But staff was kind and helpful.

Room was partially cleaned. Wiped down a bedside table myself. Broken security light at front of building was flashing like a strive light. I mentioned ti staff. They acknowledged they knew about it already but no fix in process.

Yes you have hot breakfast but me and my husband got sick the quality was not good the eggs was not fully cooked and hash browns taste like plastic and the other hand the staff wasn’t friendly I went to ask for a extra towel and they look at me like I had 2 heads.

Parking was great and breakfast was delicious. Beds and the room was comfortable. Showers were nice and warm with good water pressure. TV worked perfectly for connecting our Roku box.

The room looked clean but the bathroom and shower was not. There was a shoe print on the toilet. The shower was dirty the shower curtain was nasty. The sink was dirty. I was taking a shower after coming from the beach and the water just cut off. Front desk was no help. I had to wait till the next day for the maintenance to fix it. I ended up switching rooms to the first floor but it was the same. Barely a trickle of water. Housekeeping is the worse. It's like no one ever inspects the rooms. I never had breakfast. There was ample parking. This is the worst Hilton Inn and suites I've ever stayed at. I was most happy to leave.

Water stopped flowing, could not shower, toilets would not flush.

Very friendly and attentive staff. Front desk clerk on 4/12/26 was extraordinarily helpful and allowed us to check in a few minutes early. Breakfast was tasty, plentiful and fresh, with delicious breakfast sausage. Juice machine was not working, but the general manager was working on it as we ate breakfast. A sign that had blown down in the pool area on 4/12 was back in place by the time we went to breakfast on 4/13, showing real attention to detail. While our room showed signs of wear, particularly in the bathroom and shower, I would still rate this a far better than usual stay, thanks to the staff at this Holiday Inn Express.

However, there were a couple of downsides that impacted my stay. Although the property is supposed to be non-smoking, the hallway leading to my room had a noticeable cigarette smell. I’m particularly sensitive to smoke, so this was uncomfortable, even though I chose not to report it since I was only staying one night. Additionally, there was very loud talking in the hallway right outside my door late at night. I couldn’t tell whether it was staff or other guests, but the noise carried easily into the room. It may be due to the guest lounge being located very close by, which could explain the disturbance. Unfortunately, this was my first stay at Holiday Inn, and it will likely be my last. I prefer staying at Hilton properties, as I’ve consistently had better experiences there In summary, while the hotel was clean and the staff kind, the smoke smell and noise level made my stay less relaxing than I had hoped.

Front desk manager Amanda was wonderful. She was very helpful and made our stay comfortable. Beds were very comfortable and nice.

The facility was very clean and the AC worked wonderfully. The breakfast every morning was wonderful with a huge range of choices for all breakfast tastes from hot food, to pasteries and some fruit. I was super excited for the biscuits and gravy. My biggest complaint is that the laundry room should be monitored more often as we went to do our laundry the night before our departure and someone had left clothes in the washing machine and the load was not even started. We had to resort to going off site because of inconsiderate people. But overall, it was a wonderful experience. But i would suggest some way of making sure guests are tending to their laundry in a timely manner

Our first room was disgustingly with urine in the shower. Luckily we were able to switch rooms. Elevator was super slow and crowded. It was convenient to the ball field.

Have stayed at this hotel before. Breakfast buffet was better this visit. Food was hot and rotated regularly. Coffee was fantastic!! Parking was very convenient. Stayed in a mobility accessible room; easiest shower I have used in a long time.

The first room was not as clean. I found hair in the shower which then overflooded. Around the coffee maker thing there was dried up coffee left from the previous person. I was told we were getting an upgraded room due to the issues however it was only a standard room. No additional wash cloths available when I asked the front desk and only one elevator causing wait times

The ice maker did not work the entire stay. The handicapped access to the front door is blocked by planters. The breakfast omelet was cold. The TV remote did not work. The remote has a button for Netflix, but Netflix is not available. The microwave in the room was damaged and dirty.

Very friendly staff. Nice breakfast selections and fantastic coffee machine which ground the beans and brewed while you wait! Comfortable room and space to place my belongings. Toilet was very low and I am short so that saying something. Shower head had nice pressure but wasn’t adjustable.

Opened the valve and it seemed to be working, but it will probably happen again, because whatever caused it is probably still an issue. There were no cups in the room except 2 coffee cups. There was a spider and web near the ceiling. Very little lighting, no lights above the coffee bar area and no lights for the desk area not even a lamp. The bathroom only had a light around the mirror. The window shade had no strings to lift it up. I usually have really good luck with holiday in express and have always been happy with my stays. That is why I chose it, hopefully it’s a one time thing.

The breakfast was good. Location was good. We arrived at the hotel a couple of hours early as we were traveling from out of state. I spoke with the front desk receptionist and she explained that I could not check in due to the time and I would be charged extra since I booked with Booking.com. We agreed to wait 2 hours for the room to be ready and I requested a ground floor, handicapped accessible room which she advised would be done when we came back. We went next door to eat at the restaurant right beside it, returned 20 minutes earlier and told we still would have to pay $75 since we were still "early" so we agreed to wait longer. We go out and get our luggage and came back in and was told that the room we were waiting on still would not be ready for another 30 minutes! She said we could take another one on the second floor. I reluctantly agreed only because we had already waited almost three hours to get checked in. We get to the room and that one had no hair shampoo and conditioner. They brought up for us which was fine but then we showered and left and got back and noted that there was no hand soap left. We had to meet family so we left again and I texted them and asked could they leave at the door as we didn't anyone in the room while we were away and I was texted back to be told that they couldn't leave it there and I could only get travel items. With that we stayed one night - got up and left the next morning and stayed with friends. I requested a partial refund because of the issues that I had but was told that I couldn't have one. I think that is wrong as I was going to be charged to check in early so I waited then when I get to check in, I don't even get the room that I requested. I think that a partial refund of one night is justified.

Overall, a nice hotel in a convenient location for me, close to where I needed to be. Happened to have a junior high school football tournament that weekend so it was super busy in the lobby when I walked in. No one was at the front desk for at least 10 minutes. I was a bit worried about whether it might be too noisy to get much needed rest, but it turned out to be fine. I appreciated all the staff, especially the breakfast staff. I feel like housekeeping could have been a little more thorough, but I am sure with how busy they were, it was lack of staffing. But nice, safe, and convenient. Loves the breakfast.

Now heres my biggest issue with this property. They obviously allow people to park and sleep there. Not an issue til one pulls in hits a vehicle then just leaves. Or out there robbing your car why you sleep. There is no parking lot security so definitely a possibility. There was a dozen or more cars each night with people sleeping in them.

We could hear every word and every step of the customers in the room above us. There is no soundproofing whatsoever. and guess what, a few kids were in the room above us and were screaming and jumping after 9pm

The bed was so Good to sleep in. We were here for a birthday party down the block, we didn't spend time in the hotel since we had to decorate and assist in other issues. The breakfast can use an update. Not crazy about the cheese in the egg.

I made a 24 hour drive from Massachusetts and my check in was at 3:00 but I arrived around 11 am no worries the girl at the desk said she let me check in early and I needed it was just gonna sleep in my car but no need. Breakfast was great so many options.. My microwave didn’t work and they immediately replaced it. What a great hotel experience I will definitely use them again.

This is regarding check-in, early eve, AND for check-out in morning. Through any needs, a situation that needed a change and even with the likely 'anxiety' in my OWN voice, (@ check-in), these ladies handled everyrhing kindly, calmly with a smile & even helped 'soothed my soul', without kniwing it. Seeming to enjoy their job, respectfulness and kindnesses ARE important to experience from those helping us through our travels, as your paying customers. Thank you & God Bless.

All of the staff was extremely nice! Breakfast was good! Hotel was clean! We did have a problem with the air conditioning not working in our room the first night, but they were quick about the situation and moved us to another room!

Stayed 5 nights. Easy access from I-275 and only 20 minute drive to coast line in either direction. We just needed a bed in a clean and quiet location.....it did that. Breakfast was typical for HI Express or Hampton. Foyer coffee was automated machine that ground the beans and made it FRESH.....this was very nice. Staff were friendly and helpful (tour guide advice).

We appreciate a complimentary and pleasant breakfast, free parking, and easy access to downtown, the beach, and the Dali Museum.

Except for the absence of Tissues in our room, this is an excellent hotel!

Pool closed entire time for maitenance

Property was clean and close to highway. Staff was friendly. The pool is a bit small and breakfast was super crowded and kept running out of food. Pancakes was out both days we were there. However there was a cracker barrell next door. Overall not a bad stay for a quick trip.

Clean hotel on the newer side for the area. Right by I275 which is convenient but can hear some traffic noise. Don't ho for a "pool" hotel, or gym, there is both but they tiny. Breakfast was very good for the value type of hotel.

Close to Hwy but no noise, Cracker Barrel next door, east drive to the beach without the traffic and high price tag of staying on the beach, 10 minutes to the PIE airport, great hot breakfast variety each day, wish the pool was in the sun in the afternoon but overall very pleased!

This hotel had potential, the front desk staff was great, location was convenient for us but the housekeeping staff is not up to par and I had to go purchase dusinfeiwioes to wipe everything down, the room had not been vacuumed, there was food crumbs from the previous occupant at the shower needed to be scrubbed.

Everything about the hotel was fine other than both the treadmill and stationary bike were broken. When I checked out and mentioned it to the person behind the desk, they didn’t seem overly concerned. I shared that I felt like I paid for a service I didn’t receive, and again, they didn’t seem to care.

The receptioniste was not very friendly or welcoming. Another lady in reception was kind enough to get us another pod of decaf, later in the evening. A lady of the cleaning staff was very kind and helpful in the morning, when we locked ourselves out of the room. The room and the bed were excellent.

The only reason it’s scored lower on the comfort is was that it was under renovation and they had trash bags on the window and no blinds with lights shining into your window, so it was like daytime in your room when you tried to sleep that other than that, it was a great place to stay

Cracker Barrel is right next door for a bite. We were visiting family so we didn’t really explore the area. Again the complementary breakfast was very good! And free parking.

We have 5 people in the family so we reserved a room with 2 beds and sofa sleeper. They gave the room to someone else and blamed me for reserving the incorrect room until I showed them the receipt. Then they blamed Expedia. Then they blamed their computers. No accountability.

Expedia was supposed to make a reservation but they did not- the hotel did not have any rooms. We had to sleep in the rented car or drive 60 miles away for a room

There is only one elevator for the entire guest and cleaning crews. Wait is tremendously long. There was so much noise, banging of door and loud television for the entire night from the same floor we were not able to sleep until 1am. Had some issues with plumbing issues couldn’t use bathroom. By the time went down breakfast was all finished. Never coming back here again.

Great staff. Didn’t feel super safe. There were police there late one night in the parking lot arresting someone. The hotel seems a bit outdated, the carpets were dirty. It was a good price, and the staff were very welcoming and friendly.

The shower floor and showerhead were stained and dirty. There were screws, falling off the back of the TV when trying to move the TV the little standby the chair was broken and uneven. There is only one elevator air conditioning thermostat was in accurate.
