-poor lighting in rooms -older hotel so areas in bathroom e.g., corners, tiles, grout were dirty and discolored -sink was detached from counter -ants on bathroom counter -no microwave in room -location only offers valet parking. Parked one time and then leveraged street parking for the rest of our stay, but they still tried to overcharge us for valet parking for our entire stay, despite having evidence that we exited out the car the next day and never valeted it again -room felt constantly stuffy -housekeeping was rude. Check-out was 11am. They knocked on our door at 8am. We explained that we would absolutely leave at 11am. They told us no leave in an hour, We had to make a few errands before checking out. When we left to run errands, they still against our request accessed the room and started cleaning around our stuff.

First off paying over $600 bucks for this hotel was ridiculous but of course it graduation time so all the hotels up charge. Let just say not everything was in order. Soap dispensers were on the floor in the shower instead of on the walls. Had to fight to get soap out of the bottles. Please note I came in from out of town at 10pm for a one night stay. They really got off on me but I guess it’s the norm. Wouldn’t do that again.

Location was right downtown, hotel was clean and room was spacious and well appointed. The expensive parking was not expected! And the parking garage was very tight. The AC was loud in our room which had an awful view into the parking garage - our window looked directly into the one of the floors of the garage. Very disappointed. We ended up checking out after the first night and booking a different hotel.

My room looked and felt pretty shabby. The AC unit was LOUD(!). The plumbing was LOUD(!). Room 1017: Check it out. I was there five nights and slept terribly (but I was there for my father's funeral, so...). At any rate, check into this property, especially how it looks and feels. It's seen better days, for certain, but it could sparkle with just a bit of attention from corporate. Tallahassee deserves better.

Our room wasn’t quite as clean as it should have been. Towels were stained. They were white and should have been bleached. The bathroom had a pocket door, so no hooks on it to hang damp towels. One chair in the room had very worn fabric and needed to be reupholstered or replaced. The hallways were very dark, as was the room. The pool area was lacking. It only had 5 lounge chairs, which people placed towels on to save them. The restaurant was fine but a take out order that was supposed to take 15 minutes took more than 1/2 an hour.

Gloria checked me in and she was absolutely wonderful also, she gave me a cookie. My room was extremely comfortable the bed was great and so was the view. Once i was settled i received a text from the front desk making sure everything was to my liking, and to let me know that if i needed anything at all that i could just text them. I really liked that. There were a couple of discrepancies between whats online and real life. The website i was on said check in was at 3pm and the stay came with a free breakfast buffet. Check in is actually at 4pm and the breakfast buffet was $24. Service in the restaurant was great and the food was actually really good too. Lots to choose from and lots of fresh fruits. All in all i enjoyed my stay and had a good nights sleep.

Furniture was a little tired (one drawer broken) but we were happy with the comfortable beds and the cleanliness of the room. AC didn’t work well but it wasn’t a big deal with mild weather. Cons - treadmills down in fitness center, bathroom door was not on track and hard to close, no signage to tell you where the amenities were in the hotel (had to call to find out where fitness center was ) Not sure if the rooftop restaurant ever opened . The room could use a light near the door and a full size mirror. Too dark .

We asked for our room to be serviced by house keeping when we left for the afternoon and it was not done. We asked again when we left for our date and it still was not done when we returned. Not a bad hotel but definitely not worth $380 when your room is not serviced one time, instead just a bag of towels hanging on your door handle. Pathetic.

My wife was very unimpressed when entering our room to find that the toilet seat was up. It looked like someone just used it. We went down to the bar to order a bloody mary and the bartender said the morning shift didn't leave any mix for him. Later I found out there was another bar upstairs but the downstairs bartender didn't take the initiative to check if the other bar had some or inquire to the manager where the morning shift keeps the mix. Other than that, it was great. LOL.

We stay here often, but the receptionist who checked me in wasn't very pleasant. No guests were in the lobby when I walked in. I noticed that an employee was on the phone in the Starbucks area. I proceeded to the desk to check in. No one was there. After several minutes of waiting, I walk over to the Starbucks area and say "hi, is someone working here?" The lady in the Starbucks area then tells me that she'll be with me shortly. So I return to the desk while she finishes up a phone call. I realize that she saw me walk in, provided no greeting, let me wait at the desk without acknowledgement, and made me wait for her to finish whatever she was doing in the Starbucks area before coming to check me in. I was then assigned a room that was different from the one that I requested in the app when I checked in, and the room wasn't as clean as we expected. There was, what appeared to be, makeup spots on the wall in the bathroom. The area around the shower needed a deep cleaning and the toilet seat needs to be replaced.

The best way to describe this hotel is damp and dirty. Paint peeling off the walls and ceilings in the room with debris and dirt on the carpet and floors. The window AC just ran constantly with humid air. You can tell the rooms are very quickly cleaned or maybe just skipped altogether. We saw no housekeeping services during our stay. The staff was mostly rude and miserable especially at the coffee bar and restaurant. Took about an hour for an order of pancakes for our kids. If you do go be aware of the mandatory gratuity of 22%. The only advantage is the location is good but not worth what they charge for a night.

This hotel is very old and in disrepair and it is very understaffed. We had to move rooms as our room was incredibly humid and the ceiling was coming apart. Every time you turned on the shower, water would come through the ceiling. Also, the toilet wasn’t bolted down to the floor so you felt like you were on horseback. The entire 10th floor smelled of mildew and water. Obviously, there were leaks throughout. Finally, we were moved to the 16th floor, which was better, but still very old and used. We had numerous friends at the hotel as well. Each of them told of a similar experience. This is not what I expected of an Hilton hotel. Very disappointing. However, even with all these issues, the limited staff that were working went out of their way to treat us well. They just have nothing to work with. Also, no cookies were offered as is the Double Tree standard. We will not be returning to the Double Tree in Tallahassee.

Let’s start with the first major issue. The entire hotel smells like mold! I literally was choking all night. As you will see from the picture provided, there is a significant amount of visible mold in the hallways, and in the rooms themselves. Our room had mold, rust in the shower, holes in the walls and filth on the floor. Additionally, our toilet seat was completely broken and the door to the bathroom did not close or lock…as you will also see from the pictures. Luckily, maintenance did come to fix the broken toilet as I almost broke my neck! upon our arrival back to the hotel after a long day moving our daughter into her dorm our room was not cleaned. I called the front desk and could not reach anyone so I went to the front desk to let them know and request clean towels. They did not apologize and were a bit rude but said they would send someone up with towels. Towels never arrived. I called again and spent 15 min trying to reach someone and just gave up. 0 stars!!

Key was activating lock but took 3-4 even six attempts to open the door throughout the visit. Breakfast in Jacob room on Friday morning was terrible. Only person working in whole restaurant (reception/serving/cleanup/invoicing) Menu was not as advertised. Buffet food was cold at 9:00am, taste was terrible on bacon, cold scrambled egg and sausage ? ( looked like dog 'barf' and tasted terrible) No luggage carts. Valet did run around and found one on arrival but wheel jamming. On departure the one cart was just never available and even my visit to 3rd floor parking was without success. The only reason we booked this hotel was because I have a daughter who likes the pool. But I could not even use the pool because it was green and dirty. I arrived at the hotel after driving all day, I was greeted by the valet parking gentlemen. It was really nice to not have to worry about parking. Both of the gentlemen were very nice and professional, one even helping me to get my things out of the car. Here's where issues started.... 1) There wasn't a single luggage cart avaliable about 730pm. 2) I get to the counter after booking a king size room to enjoy the bed with my significant other, and I'm told "We have to move you to a room with two queen beds" didn't ask, told me and that it was due to over booking the king beds. Super unprofessional and nothing was even offered after ruining our room, not complimentary drink, not a discount to queen prices, he asked if i wanted a cookie. 3)it clearly wasn't cleaned, I'm guess because no one booked and we were forced to take it. Floors were dirty, no comforter on either bed, went to take a shower, conditioner and soap were empty. 4) At check in no one tells you ANYTHING!!! Not about the restaurants, that the pool is located on the 4th floor, that there's a roof top bar, times anything opens, not what meals are served, or if theres room service.... NOTHING 5) The restaurant downstairs was pretty much out of everything. No grouper, no shrimp, no pickles, limited bottles, 6) i was charged to my card and to my room multiple charges The bartenders were amazing though and valet

I needed to stay 1 night for a family gathering. Check in was ok, guy was neither nice or rude. When I got on the elevator it smelled like old wet towels and/or mildew and so did the hallway on the way to my room. My room seemed fine until I saw the “leather” chair which was peeling and looked like it was 25 years old. Then I saw the ceiling had a huge 2+ foot crack in it with long peels of sheet rock paper and / strips of paint hanging down and dangling over the bed. It was a large enough crack that I was worried the ceiling might fall in so I slept in the other bed. There was an ice machine on my floor (5th) and it did not work so I went to the 4th floor and that ice machine also did not work, then I proceeded to go to the 6th, and 8th also finding broken machines. Mind you, these ice machines are independent, free standing machines. Finally I found an working ice machine on floor 9 but on that floor there must have been a flood because the hallway was very dark and a large fan was running on wet carpet and the whole floor smelled terrible. All in all, I would never stay here again and @HiltonHotels should be made aware of the condition of this hotel. I have photos as well.

Would have used Hilton app and digital key.. not working ! So room door has a 1/2 in gap when closed, thought the door was open? Bathroom hair on floor, stained and peeling ceiling, no soap, containers not even in wall, just glue marks where they are supposed to be. Hot water at sink is a dribble, great for shaving !! Requested soap after another 20min wait in line at reception, nothing, had to take it off cleaners cart. Request room cleaned - not, said they don’t clean today! Upon check in there were over 100 people in line checking in with 1 front desk agent. We had to leave to get to our show so we couldn’t check in till almost midnight. This morning we see that we have been charge twice. Now we have to call and sort it all out. More wasted time

It was good, but the lady checking everyone in was by herself. 2 people called out and the check in on the app wasn’t working. Took over 40 minutes to get checked in. This was at 4pm.

We waited for over an hour and a half for check in. One person was running the front. Hair all over the bathroom. Very inconvenient. Waste of money

The hotel is fine so far but the check in was ridiculous. It took exactly 1 and 15 mins to wait in line to check in The manager was left alone to check in everyone. I understand that people called off.But you need to hire more people. Everyone knows when they're checking in and you should have an expectation that there's going to be a lot of people wanting their rooms. They were completely underprepared in addition, we found out that the online self check in has been broken for months from the manager. So even individuals who checked in online could not even get their keys or access to their room.Because that system that should exist in twenty twenty five is broken!!!! I have stayed in more than a thousand hotels in my life, and this by far as the longest check in process I have ever been a part of. For brand like hilton, this is completely unacceptable. We almost missed the show we came into town for. This is not the fault of the manager who was checking us in.Who couldn't have been any nicer and apologized for the delay? This is the fault of hilton for not hiring enough people to handle a simple check in proces. Higher more staff or put in kiosks for people to check into their rooms

The hotel felt dated - the elevators were noisy, slow and shabby. The bathroom ceilings were low to permit drain pipes for the above room which lent a warren-like feeling. Any sound from the hallways or other guest rooms easily penetrated the unit. Overall not recommended.

At check-in the woman was extremely rude and dismissive. The hotel is run down and the only good thing I can say about the hotel is the location. The humidity in the rooms is horrible and everything felt damp. I wore socks because the carpet felt so dirty and didn't feel like it had been vacuumed.

It's oddly decorated. Kind of Adam's Family but entertaining. Valet was really well run and efficient.

We saw two cockroaches. Killed one, but the second got away... Our room was at the end of the hall by the ice maker and we could hear the water running through the wall and clunking every few seconds all night. There was an hour period between 1 and 2 AM where it sounded like a party in the hall, but i understand that is just disrespectful people, not the hotel's fault. All in all, we didn't get much sleep at all. Brought this all up to the service desk when we checked out and she said we had to take it up with Hotels.com since we booked through a third party. She said she'd let the manager know, but we haven’t heard anything yet. We won't be going back.
