    Everything worked well in the room! The staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was definitely delicious and worth a 5 star rating. Big enough parking lot, plus they had a jet ski rental place in the parking lot, how cool. Definitely wanna stay here again, worth the money! We flew to Florida and chose this place!

    I stayed at the hotel for 5 days and Housekeeping never gave me clean sheets, the floor was never cleaned. I had the same soap on my soap dish and was never giving a new one. There are only 2 signs in the building that No smoking.

    The staff was excellent. They were friendly and responsive to all of our requests. The property is clean and well kept. There is nothing fancy about the rooms, but ours was clean and well stocked with supplies. The restaurant and waterfront atmosphere are the attractions of the property. The views are stunning, but DO NOT go expecting to be beachfront.

    We arrived earlier than expected and they let us check in early. The staff were always wonderful and kind. The beds were beyond comfortable as we meant to sit for a moment and ended up asleep. Definitely a wonderful experience.

    The Double Tree standards continue to be high! The gym and pool were just perfect and the space was private and quiet! Everything you need when on vacation. I was surprised that breakfast wasn’t free but I failed to read small print. Restaurant food was as tasteful as I expected but it forces me to venture out more to taste the local restaurant scene.

    People were very nice and helpful. It was a little funky that there isn't an ice machine on the first floor, but it wasn't far from the elevators. View is beautiful, pool is nice but you may want to bring your own towel as they don't monitor and refill it often. The food and drinks at the Blufin inside the hotel is nice and fairly priced.

    Views were great, rooms were clean and comfortable, morning staff was way nicer than evening staff, easy check in and out. Only suggestion is restaurant food. Ate at the Blue Fin for dinner and should have eaten off site. Not enough variety, and it was basically bar food. Wings come 6 in an order and 3 were burnt black. Asked server what we could do because 3 were black. He took them, came back with 6 more and 3 were again burnt black. He said that’s just how they are. Disappointing as we were there for Mother’s Day and were hoping for a nice menu.

    I was at property for weekend. Had concert to go to so was not going to be in room a lot. However, my first day the staff at front desk was not very friendly. The bartender in restaurant was helpful and kind. I received a smoking violation under door the next morning. I didn’t smoke. I went to front desk because I’m not paying $300 for something I did t do. Spoke with the supervisor, whom was rude and stated that the device was 99% accurate. I asked what would cause it to go off if knowing it wasn’t smoke. She stated the shower steam could. So not accurate. Did take bill off. I also stated at that time that the shower was not working properly, awful water pressure and hard to change settings on nozzle due to hard water build up. Also the tv did not work. Which even the gentleman who came could not fix it. I have always heard such great things about Hilton hotels but this was awful and don’t plan to do it again.

I thought the breakfast was very expensive and it was the same breakfast that I usually get at other hotels which is included in the price. Breakfast should have been included in the price, which was already high, or at least a Continental breakfast.

    Also, being only a little over an hour drive from Orlando, to me this seems like a great place to stay for trips to Universal or Disney. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone traveling to Tampa.

    The staff was wonderful and very kind. The room wasn’t bad but our tub was very slow to drain. Water would fill up past our ankles so that was annoying and kind of gross. We also couldn’t figure out where a thermostat was. There didn’t seem to be a way to control the temperature in the room.

    Room view of the bay was terrible it had a huge air condition unit in the way of the view! It also made load noises that kept my wife and I up all night! I would not recommend doubletree to any of my family or friends! We were promised a suite with a patio that the person at the desk said they did not have suites with patio’s!

    I enjoyed my stay and my room. Nicely located to small local beach,bike/walking path and convenient drive to clearwater and St.Petersburg. Room was clean and spacious with a nice water view. Staff was excellent with questions and check in and out. Very personable and professional.

    Breakfast was average, parking was good well lit and safe! Room was clean and staff was great! Property although clean and presentable was in need of upgrade and maintenance! Bathroom fixtures were semi inoperable, faucets were loose, shaving mirror was warbling and toilet water ran continuously unless you jiggled the handle!

    Red stains on the carpet. I know they don’t steam the carpet after every visit but this carpet had 3 large stains that should have been cleaned. I was offered to check back to see if a room will be available but it was too Much moving my family and baby over to a whole other room. Pool area was beautiful and so was the grounds. Our room view over looked the Tampa bay . Would I rent a room there again? I wouldn’t rush but I would recommend the hotel for affordable and space.

    Room was spacious but hot water wasn’t very hot in the shower. No conditioner given, dispenser had fallen and they have 2 bottles of shower in error. Parking was a bit difficult getting out after you check out you have to wait for them to let you out. The restaurant food was fresh and good but they are understaffed. Many tables on the inside were not cleared as guests leave. We also didn’t receive our cookies upon arrival.

    Breakfast was fresh and tasted great. Our breakfast dining hostess during the week was incredibly kind and helped us with any questions. Room service was thorough and we had new towels, bed made and fresh coffee pods everyday. The pool was cleaned every morning with fresh towels. I would definitely come recommend to a friend.

    The restaurant food is not the ordinary hotel food! It was actually very good! The breakfast buffet was a10!! The service was also great! We were coming from Ohio on an early flight, staff helped getting us in our room early to accommodate my granddaughter. The pool area is dreamy! We loved every minute and will definitely be back!!!     Our initial room had a strong sewage smell, forcing us to relocate, which was inconvenient and frustrating. More concerning, during our stay, our passport and cash went missing from our room. While the passports were eventually returned after several stressful hours, the cash was never recovered. The way staff handled this situation was particularly upsetting. Customer service was not only ineffective but also dismissive and rude while we were trying to navigate a very serious issue. A police report has been filed, and the matter is currently under investigation. Overall, this experience felt unsafe, poorly managed, and far below acceptable standards. I would not recommend this hotel.

    So many issues with our room, most importantly the main door that wouldn't lock and would allow anyone to walk in without a key. Room in general and mattress were very dirty, lights didn't work, etc. Staff seemed to not be very motivated to get the items remedied. Hilton Honors text concierge was pretty unresponsive for most of the stay. Wife was very disappointed and stated we won't be staying at Hilton DoubleTree properties in the future.

    The room was good but needs better maintenance. Had a slow draining sink and bathtub. Finally had to speak with management who did resolve the issue. The onsite restaurant is pretty bad. Long wait times and the bartender was rude. Food was decent. Management changes may make the restaurant onsite better. Overall good experience. Low noise. Maybe we got lucky. Parking is too expensive.

    The only negative comment I have is that I had to pay for parking and that seems exorbitant! The parking lot is huge and there was more than enough parking...not sure why they charge their guests $25 per day for parking (which I didn't see on the hotels.com site - maybe I missed it?)

    My husband and I have been staying at this hotel for almost 20 years, every time we visit Tampa. This time was different and not in a good way. They started charging for parking! Ridiculous! We were approached by a Hilton sales person every time we even walked thru the lobby with them trying to sell us something which was off putting. We will not be staying here anymore.

    Shower drained very poorly. The water temperature was not hot at all the entire week regardless of when me or my wife took our showers. I’d understand if it was a busier time for showers but I even tried taking one in the middle of the night and it was still barely warm. The restaurant staff was very neglectful. You go to the table they give you the menu, then you’d be lucky if they got back to without prompting. Took 20 mins to bring our drinks after they took our orders multiple times during the stay. I love the DoubleTree, but this is by far the worst one I’ve ever stayed at and I wouldn’t stay there again.

    The property advertises a welcoming, waterfront stay, but the reality fell far short due to pervasive neglect and poor upkeep . The exterior building, windows, and entry areas were very dirty, with visible grime and fogging/streaking between the double-pane entry glass windows. Both elevators had accumulated dirt and crumbs in the corners. Hallways were extremely dark, dated, and felt unsafe/unwelcoming. Room entry walls were stained and dirty. In the room: Curtains were faded, stained, and ineffective at blocking light; windows were heavily streaked and dirty, obstructing the bay view. Bathroom door frame had what appeared to be blood stains; the door itself was dirty with various liquid stains. The tub filled with standing water during showers due to a non-functional diverter, and water pressure from the shower head was barely existent—water was lukewarm at best. Bathroom vanity was heavily worn and beat-up. Bedding was old, torn in places, and the mattress was lumpy and uncomfortable. Broken A/C vents in every room (including ours) meant poor airflow. Despite advertising "breakfast included" in some promotions or expectations from the brand, breakfast was not complimentary and required an additional charge.

    Staff was friendly. Room was clean, the only problem I came across was that the Tv wouldn’t work and the button to control the AC was broken so I couldn’t control the temperature. Otherwise everything else was good. Forgot to mention that I did called front desk about the issue with the TV and they did come out and fix it pretty quickly!!

    The suite itself had a smell to it we had to buy some air fresheners. some of the lights went out our second day there. Only one trash can in the bathroom none in the rest of the suite. Overall the stay wasn't terrible but was average for a doubletree hotel.

    The staff was very friendly. The room wasn't what I expected. The bed was hard as well as the towels and wash cloths. The room was clean. The toilet didnt flush but once notified that was fixed. The bedding was wrinkled and not very appealing. Overall it was ok for it's intended purpose.

    Room was decent, but bathroom water smelled horrible. Like sewage. I had to use a water bottle all week to brush my teeth. Front staff was rude upon arrival, we had questions and he acted as he if was too busy to be bothered. The restaurant had good food but depending on which bartender/server you had determined the service you received. 1st one was great. Made great drinks and paid attention, 2nd one seemed annoyed that we showed up was more concerned about people at the bar, may need another lesson on how to make a dirty martini dirty. My water showed up brown. Last one was very nice by this time I just ordered a soda.

    My room was clean, comfortable, and quiet, which made it easy to unwind. The restaurant and bar were solid options, especially with those waterfront views. I also loved the pool area—it’s calm, scenic, and perfect for hanging out in the Florida sun. The location is convenient too. Close to the airport and an easy drive to both Tampa and Clearwater, but still tucked away enough to feel peaceful. Overall, I’d happily stay here again.

    Extreme renovations. Unsafe as renovations were huge projects on each floor with constant noise, dust, etc. Suite room felt unsafe due to location right next to renovations and suite itself is very dated to include shattered floor lamp. Unfortunately, it was by far a property I would never book this property again. This is the only Hilton property that I have stayed that I’ve given a negative review.

    Room was nice, spacious, great view. Bathroom door wouldn't close all the way, towel holder coming off wall, and there was a bad leak in the ceiling in our hall soaking the carpet. Housekeeping did a great job on our room. Location nice. Parking was good. Front desk staff and checkout was nice, but not helpful or friendly at checkin or when i tried to extend my reservation. Restaurant/bar/food hours were great, but terribly understaffed after 9pm. One bartender, Tori i think, was fantastic, but the rest were not friendly. You are definitely paying for location...

    When I called to ask for an airport shuttle to pick me up, the staff said it would not be possible unless I was a flight attendant or pilot.     Extremely noisy until about 11pm with kids in the pool. Dogs were also in the pool. Kids were running around screaming in the hallways at 11pm while we were trying to sleep. Staff didn’t seem to do anything about it. Also had to ask for my double tree cookie since the front desk that checked me in didn’t even bring it up. Food from the restaurant took a pretty long time to get to the table. Overall a budget hotel experience so you’re better off staying somewhere cheaper with the same service. Outdoor area was nice though besides the Hilton ambassador that was there trying to sell me vacation packages like if I was in a timeshare meeting. Room was also nice 9/10.

    The dining was great, the pool was great, the staff was wonderful. Even when we needed to make a change to our reservation, we were accommodating well.     The hotel to have the Hilton name is a bit run down. The rooms are old the shower was not working properly. The toilet kept running. The staff was very friendly and I would stay here again because of them. Very very nice professional addressed my concerns when I asked to be switched from rooms. The original room had a fowl odor and the concierge was very sweet and helped me right away. She was concerned for me needs and switched my room.

    Our initial room was dirty. Dirty hand prints on walls and lamp shades. Broken door handle and also dirty wall in the bathroom. The carpet in the room had a huge rip in it. I was given another room. Staffing shortage was an issue. The bar and outdoor areas were not kept up. Empty plastic cups and trash were all over the place.

    The downside which upset me is there main photo is a fire pit outback by the pool which was a huge selling point. Not only did the front desk not even know they had a fire pit, once I told them they did they automatically had excuses how it doesn’t work and they have to get their engineers to turn it on which they haven’t tested yet. It was just a weird experience and sad that is their main photo they push out. Parking is $25 and breakfast buffet is $22. I wish the parking was just free or added in I must of missed that part n got hit with extra $100 when I arrived. Factoring the parking and breakfast cost I would have opted to get a nicer hotel that had it built in. My fault for not reading the fine print. Overall though the hotel is very nice and in a great location. It’s the little things that add up and ruin the experience sometimes. I would rate 3/5 overall.

    I walked in to a beautiful lobby and the clerk at check-in was very friendly. Immediately though, as we were walking down the 1st floor hallway, the overwhelming smell of mildew was evident. I just hoped our room didn’t smell like it but SURPRISE, it did! The room felt humid and smelled like mildew, the bed was super hard and pillows too worn. It looks like the pics, but is totally deceiving. Needless to say, we got no sleep. I’m usually not one to complain but this was very disappointing and I vowed to write a review. Thank goodness the stay was only for a night and we arrived late, but, I would never recommend spending the $$ on this hotel!

    We got into town at 3:30 and killed time before checking in at 4. At 4 we went to check in and our room wasn’t ready. We had to wait over 45 minutes for a room when we had a wedding to attend and we had to get dressed. Family of 4. The hotel gave us a few restaurant vouchers which was nice. On our wait to the restaurant there was a roach crawling across the lobby floor. Gross. The hotel ended up giving us a smaller temporary room to get dressed in. We were thankful for that. We then had to pack up our belonging again and load into the car. So frustrated by now as we were late for the wedding. I asked the hotel to cancel the room as I walked out.

    Save yourself the hassle and DO NOT STAY at this location. It looks so beautiful in photos. But the experience is the worst I’ve ever had. They will charge you a $300 smoking fee for CURLING YOUR HAIR. CURLING YOUR HAIR!! That is the most absurd thing I have ever heard. They said a “silent smoke alarm” went off around the time when doing my hair. And that they are a strict no smoking hotel. Without coming to my room to check, they just automatically charged it to my card. I explained I’m in the medical field, I do not smoke at all. And had to REQUEST THEM to come see for themselves. Upon checking, the front desk put in his report that he in-fact did not smell any smoke. I made sure to get a printed copy of this. Thank goodness I did because it took me days to get a hold of an actual manager. The manager stated there was nothing he could do because the smoking detector was evidence. I told him I had evidence too from his own staff. And that if he didn’t return my money I would take this to the local news and better buisness bureau because this is fraud. You stole my money for curling my hair. And now I have a new fear unlocked about staying in hotels. I couldn’t sleep that whole night. The plumbing is awful, sounds like a loud gurgling coming from the sink. No managers can be reached. The staff was unfriendly except for the one assistant manager. After threatening to take it further they refunded my money. It’s been 6 days and I just TODAY received my refund. Save yourselves.

    the room cleaning isn't consistent. One day they cleaned one day they skipped even we asked the front desk to clean our room, but they didn't. We had to ask for toilet paper and towels at the front desk constantly. We paid so much for the room and the room isn't nice at all.

    Rubin P checked me in and was so helpful and welcoming. I stayed in a room with a view of the water and it was very nice. The hotel restaurant has great food and drink options, so it was convenient if I didn’t want to go off property. I would definitely recommend staying here.

    $25 a day to park and they double charged us to get out. Confusing and very slow bar and dining service. Air conditioner fan in rooms is ridiculous. Sounds like a 747 landing outside your window. Loud and causes sleep deprivation! Place is NOT worth the money..

    Beautiful common areas! I stayed on the 1st floor and the room seemed outdated and the room smelled let old wet carpet. I had to pull out my febreze. Checking in was quick but be aware of there $25 parking fee. It is close to the beach, food and shopping.

    Overall it's a nice property but we were disappointed was that nothing is included and you have to pay $25/night for parking. There isn't free coffee in the lobby, you have to pay for absolutely everything. The food at the restaurant was good but not spectacular for the price of it. The staff is really friendly and helpful though and the place is clean.

    The bed was soft and the room was clean. Breakfast was good, however you have to keep reminding them if you already paid for breakfast. The hallway on floor two was dark and musty and the doors are Soo loud and people would slam them. The only Hilton I ever stayed in that doesn't have free coffee in the lobby. I liked the t.vs in the bar to watch games and the crab fries were amazing. Overall it was a nice place to stay.

    In general, our stay was OK, but there were a few glaring issues that reflect poor management. The safe was broken because the AAA battery inside it had corroded, destroying the mother board. This reflects lack of preventative maintenance and lack of care in dealing with the little things, because the corrosion would have been obvious to anyone who bothered t check. There was no fan in the room and the windows did not open, which made the air very stuffy except when the air conditioner was on. That was itself a problem because it was so loud that when the AC went on during the night, it woke me up. After a large lunch, my wife wanted a small snack at the restaurant instead of dinner but it took at least 35 minutes just to get a flat bread pizza appetizer. I say "at least" because after 35 minutes, we gave up and walked out, so we do not know whether it was ever finished. NOTE that the restaurant was almost deserted, so it was not that the kitchen was over-worked. There were other minor annoyances that by themselves were minor, but there were too many of them to chalk it up to coincidence.

    Our first room was dirty and there were feces in the toilet. The 2nd room we were moved too smelled like sewage and the hotel manager confirmed the smell was from a backup sewage pipe. We were offered no discounts or reductions for the nights we slept in the sewage smelling room. This place is very dirty and my wife had the worst stay because it was so dirty. The staff member who checked us in was very kind so she should be appreciated. Don’t go here.

My bathroom faucet is loose and wobbly. First and last time here Guy working the front desk this evening had horrible body odor. Don’t like to complain, but not a good look for a Hilton hotel

    Additionally, I was falsely accused of smoking in the room, even though I do not smoke, and the hotel charged me a $300 fee without providing any evidence. When I went to the front desk to resolve the issue, the staff were dismissive and told me I had to contact the president of the hotel for a refund. To make matters worse, I saw a woman smoking by the pool and reported it to the staff. They briefly spoke to her but allowed her to continue smoking. This inconsistency in enforcing their policies was very frustrating. I cannot recommend this hotel due to the poor customer service and unfair treatment I experienced.

    Although the hotel decor appeared to have been refurbished/updated recently it still looks very rundown with torn wall paper, dirty carpet, and disgusting stained walls. Our door was difficult to open to the point it sounded like we were breaking in, the lights flickered in one of the lamps which made it unusable, no conditioner in the shower, the safety railing in the tub was coming off the wall (not very safe) and the body wash bottle was recently ripped off the wall which left an interesting mark on the shower tile. Despite the Do Not Disturb sign housekeeping tried to enter our room around 10 am. The restaurant menu is different from the one online and not for the better.

    My wife and I have stayed at this hotel many times. At approximately 9:45 in the morning prior to checkout, there was a knock at our door. An individual from the housekeeping staff said to my wife, "As a reminder checkout is at 11:00. We were both quite stunned, as this has never happened before. We spoke to the manager on duty and explained what happened. She apologized and said she would speak to someone from housekeeping. Having traveled around the world, particularly in the military, I can say that this was a first. I hope this is addressed immediately to prevent further instances as this one.

    The sink and tub was clogged after one shower. Maintenance had to fix both issues within the first hour of checking in, which caused me and my companion to be late for our outing.Then, he had to come back because the toilet kept running off and on. That never got fixed, the noise continued all night😠. Very disappointing for a Hilton.

    First yes they just went through a hurricane, the rooms are supposed to be cleaned daily. We had to request that the room was cleaned. The first day we came back to an unclean room. Went downstairs to talk to someone who promptly asked if I had the do not disturb sign on because their staff had signed off on the room as clean.no I did not have the sign on the door. I would not be asking about the room if I had. Second day come back to the room still not cleaned. Go down stairs same scenario. This time I at least heard sorry sir will get right on it.. go to dinner come back to an uncleaned room. Third day go to front desk and ask if my room will be cleaned. Yes sir I will have someone clean it while you are at breakfast. Leave for two hours, go to room and nope room is not clean. Go to front desk told the room had been cleaned because staff had signed off on it. Then I asked if they had the right room number for me because surely those hard working cleaning ladies would not lie about cleaning a room someone has complained about for now three days. Asked if they would like to come to the room and see that it has not been cleaned. No sir we will send someone to clean while you are gone. I personally would not of been as upset about the room if I had not been told the room gets cleaned daily, I would have hung my towels to dry( no towel racks in bathroom) it was the constant being question on what I had done not the fact people where signing off on job not done.
