Reviews
The Tahitian Inn is a conveniently located hotel with friendly staff and clean rooms, but some guests have reported issues with maintenance and cleanliness. The hotel has a nice pool area and a restaurant on site, but some guests have noted that the rooms could use updates and that the property could benefit from more thorough cleaning.

If you’re looking for somewhere to lay your head, this is the spot. There’s a restaurant attached but has nothing to do with the hotel. They don’t even allow you to take pictures for your review. Property has free but small parking lot and was under construction. Staff was friendly and helpful. There was no breakfast.

Its a good enough stay for a night or two. It could use some updates but for the price, it was good. Location is great, central enough for getting around to all the best places in Tampa. I would stay again. It was too cold for pool time and it was under construction so we didn't check it out.
- 4/5
Great location for our concert. Needed a few upgrades, but we did know the pool was being remodeled according to the website.
- 3/5
Problem with getting the right room we booked, they did correct the problem the next day
- 3/5
It's a great older hotel but in need of restoration. We were only informed that pool was closed a couple days before arrival when it would have been hard to change plans. It was great for location but could have been cleaner. Beds were clean and comfortable. Floors not as much. Nearby restaurant was good.

Poor
- 1/5
I booked 3 rooms and all of them is not that clean, mirror , showers and etc are dirty...
- 2/5
Their under renovations no pool
- 4/5
Very nice Cafe on the property open for breakfast and lunch, food and service was great. Hotel was clean and comfortable, the pool was closed for construction. Nice Japanese restaurant was walking distance for dinner, good food. Staff was very helpful.
- 5/5
The restaurant had great food. The staff at the hotel were amazing however the pictures on the website don't match the appearance of the rooms. There should have been a notice that the hotel was under renovations and the pool was not available. The rental car that we had was damaged during our stay.
- 4/5
Staff was great, parking was hard, room was outdated, very few lights, bed had huge footboard that made it impossible to see the tv, bathtub had jacuzzi jets which was nice but didn't look clean enough to relax in. Very nice that there is a separate restaurant attached to the hotel with pretty good food! Only stayed one night - it wasn’t bad (bed was comfortable, sheets were clean) but it wasn’t the best either.
- 1/5
Didn’t get what I paid for, I got a superior king but didn’t get that room upon arrival, when I asked about it, she said “all rooms are the same price anyways”. Knowing I paid more that room. The halls and rooms smells bad. Everything is closed. They told me it’s a no smoking property. But yet everyone is smoking outside of main entrance. A lot of Empty cans and shooters in parking lot. They had no towels, I asked for an extra and they said “we have to check what we have” For the price I expected a lot more. The lady in the mornings was pretty rude.
- 5/5
Everything met our expectations. We love the location and atmosphere. The restaurant is delicious...ate there both mornings.
- 0.5/5
That is was next to Chic fil la. And close to Airport. False advertisement. I want a refund from this Hotel. Smell of Black mold has me sick with a sore throat and cough. No elevators. No Pool. No Shuttle. All under renovations. No. CHairs to sit outside. Everything closed up. Disgusting place.

Good location This is a Motel- the pictures conveniently don't mention this fact, and it smells like mildew from hurricane floods in the lobby, but the room itself was clean and decorated like the 1960s
- 3/5
The was room was clean. The bed sunk in the middle (missing middle bed frame leg) underneath. Both lamps did not work. Burned out bathroom light. Couldn’t watch tv in bed as footboard covered up most of the tv. The little patio was nice, but the chairs were rusty and broken. Pool being redone and no tiki bar.

I am writing this review to warn others that this hotel looks nothing like the professional photos advertised online. I chose this property specifically for the pool and the updated appearance in the pictures, but the reality was a complete letdown. Key Issues: * Misleading Marketing: The photos are clearly outdated or heavily edited. The property is in a state of significant deterioration. * Hygiene: This was the most upsetting part. I found a fingernail in my bedsheets, and the stairs leading to the rooms had a persistent, unpleasant odor. * Room Condition: The bathroom was incredibly outdated. Even worse, the plumbing was so loud that the shower made a disruptive noise whenever someone in the neighboring room used theirs. The ceiling paint was also cracking and peeling. * Accessibility: Only the main building has an elevator. I was assigned a room on the second floor of a side building and had to haul my heavy suitcases up the stairs myself. * The Pool: A major reason for my booking was the pool, but it looked like it hadn't been filled or maintained in a very long time. It was unusable and eyesore. Verdict: The management needs to be honest and update their photos to reflect the current state of the hotel. I feel completely misled and would not recommend staying here until a full renovation and deep cleaning take place.
- 4/5
The lady at the front desk was very friendly and welcoming! I was a little upset that the pool was closed though! Nice area, close to a lot of things and the airport.
- 1/5
This is a terrible hotel, rooms and hotel are run down. Pool is under renovation. Confusing pulling in because they have a different name at entrances. Did not stay and they refused to refund. I do not recommend this hotel. Pictures do not represent the conditions of this hotel.

- 4/5
Decent for price but has ants I didn’t even have food in the room
- 2/5
The plus side was the convenience of location and Pach’s Place restaurant, but there are dozens of hotels in the area and, given the opportunity, I would not choose to book here again.
- 1/5
I have stayed in many places, some good, some not so good but this was the worst. The wallpaper by the air/heat conditioner was peeling off where it had leaked; even if it had worked (which it didn't) I would have been afraid to use it so we had no heat the first night and there were no blankets. When I went to the desk I was told they didn't have blankets, and was given a comforter and a space heater that didn't help. The shower curtain rod was bent, there were knobs missing from the drawers, the floors were sticky and dirty, the sink had rust stains, the tile in the bathroom was broken and terribly repaired, and the last night I had to call my hsband to come early as the people in the next room were yellig so loud as they were drinking and fighting it was frightening. We live in south Tampa and were having our house tented and thought that the Tahitian Inn was still a nice place. It was quite a surprise to learn otherwise. I can't believe we actually paid money to stay there. I realize they are undergoing renovations but this room should never have been used for guests.
- 2/5
Worst internet, rooms average, very small towels and only 2 per room, super tiny soap, thought it was pricey for what we got
- 3/5
Very outdated room. It was clean and the bed was comfortable. They have a great cafe.
- 4/5
The check-in staff was great. And told all about what's to do and eat in the areas
- 4/5
Room was clean, staff was courteous
- 1/5
Post a Post an actual review I just erased it what you just did see the baby were what we originally booked. The pool was supposedly “under construction” since June but it was just a cesspool. We asked for a refund so that we could stay elsewhere but were denied. Will never stay again. Stay away!
- 4/5
Very good
- 3/5
The shower fixture is upside-down. The cold indicator is on the hot side. Other than that the room was good. I'd definitely stay here again.
- 4/5
The jetted tubs in the rooms

- 3.5/5
Rooms were a little outdated but clean. Beds were clean and comfortable. Service was very happy and friendly. My stay was during off season (cold), so outdoor facilities were expectedly closed (pool & outdoor bar).
- 5/5
The staff went above and beyond, and the hotel was exceptionally clean. The room was extremely nice
- 5/5
Nice clean room the hot water really was a little lacking though

Front desk clerk was awesome. Place mostly in a renovation state. Been that way with no change from what we hear, for over a year. You expect a pool and place to si outside especially in Florida.

I never stayed I ended up getting a refund immediately before getting settled in upon arrival I walked in my room got hit in the face with a bad smell in the room the sink & tub was discolored from lime buildup I refused to sleep in a environment like that when I expressed my concerns with the host he immediately got offended told me” return your keys then” was very rude
- 0.5/5
The hotel was beyond terrible. The second you walk in you’re hit w the mustiest grossest smell. I couldn’t even make through the door to my room. The smell was putrid It was the shadiest place I’ve ever been to. All i needed it for was for me and my kids a couple nights but i went back down to front desk and straight up told him i couldn’t stay there and no way could i bring my kids there. I attempted to get a refund but that was a big fat no from them. Even though he understood why i was leaving. Not the first complaint he’s heard about the stink.

Great stay
- 1/5
When we first arrived we were given a room that was not what we ordered. They moved us to the right kind of room but it was on the 3rd floor. The elevators were out of order and me and my disabled husband had to climb the stairs with luggage. I need knee replacement surgery and this was not an easy task. It was 2:30 and we asked about the restaurant and was told it closed at 2:30. Then asked what time the lounge opened and was told it was closed down as it was an outside bar next to the pool that was closed down. It was late that night and when we went to go to bedand moved the pillows, there was blood on the sheet under the pillows. When we told the clerk when we checked out and she was indifferent to it like that was normal. Also the jacuzzi tub did not work and flooded the bathroom. Not a good experience at all
- 4.5/5
It could not have been better. I was in Tampa for Surgery the hotel allowed me to check in early as I wasn't driving I came in on Amtrak my arrival was 1:00 pm the room wasn't ready but that was fine the hotel allowed me to store my belongs while I went and had a coffee and snack in Pach Cafe which is in the hotel 30 miutes later my room was ready. The room was SUPER clean. The bed was comfortable. I could tell the room had been recently painted. Some of the furniture had some general wear and tear but nothing horrible. They had the exterior painted while I was there, and the pool was being renovated. I could see the improvements that were being made. The staff was very friendly. I will certainly stay there again next time in Tampa
- 2/5
The room was not clean. The elevator was broken and we had to drag all of our suitcases up the steps. No view. This hotel looks nothing like the pictures. I am sure it was great 25 years ago.
- 5/5
The staff was very friendly. The elevator wasn't working the night we stayed but it was fine for one day. The whirlpool tub in the room kept the water warm for a long time but the jets didn't work. I didn't call down to see if there was a trick to work it so maybe there was
- 4/5
Room was pristine, staff very accommodating !
- 3/5
Pool is not functional or working. No breakfast included. Low Water pressure.
- 1/5
The place is under construction. There is chain link fencing around the back and side. The pool is disgusting, not usable, the palapa palm umbrellas are deteriorated and not at all attractive. Heavy use of bleach or cleaning products made the room unusable, gave me an instant headache. There was no window in the room. Looked like a murder room next door with dripping bleach solution out the door. Lots of deferred maintenance. WE DIDN'T STAY!! Made an alternate reservation. So sorry, the guy at the desk was nice. There IS a Chick-Fil-A next door. We have no knowledge of the suites in the main building.
- 2.5/5
Location was good for where i was going, but the facility was barely ok. the place is old. no blankets, pillows were very uncomfortable. no electric plugs to speak of. For sure won't go back. Did i mention the bed was WAY to hard. woke uo extremely sore. was glad to check out
- 2/5
The hotel is in disrepair. The pool is closed and has been for months, fine, they sent an email prior to the stay notifying me. They neglected to say that the ELEVATOR is OUT OF ORDER! We had to go up multiple flights in a dingy stairwell to our room. The room itself is old and outdated. Blinds that were torn. They did have a smart tv. Expedia should not be even offering this place.
- 5/5
The staff was so friendly and the building is so beautiful. I love the neighborhood and restaurants nearby as well. I made a great choice. The pool is closed until May and the elevator doesn’t work right now. But because of the staff I love the hotel anyway.
- 5/5
Clean room
- 2.5/5
The broken elevator, the smell of urine in the stairwell, the constantly barking dog down the hall, the weird chemical smell in the room. For $150 a night we expected a little more comfort and quiet. You could hear the dog in the lobby downstairs btw as we were leaving over the music that was playing. The room itself looked decent and almost as pictured if not a hair shabbier. The sink in the kitchenette kept dripping unless you turned the spigot juuuust right...not off per say but just right.
- 2/5
As son as you walk in, you smell mold. Elvator out of order, pool is full of green slime, etc.. My 3rd floor room (using stairs), was clean and adequate. The facility needs an entire renovation. It has great potential, but needs a lot of work.

Extremely cozy Large rooms Great service Restaurant is very nice Food very good Close to everything in downtown Tampa Very nice ambiance The footboards on the beds are high and tv set low in the room i was in so i had to set up to watch tv when i was in the room. Not a big deal though.

Room was ok

The shower didn’t work.
- 1/5
Nothing Room smelled of super strong chemicals, was impossible to breathe, had to keep doors open. Bed was squeaking every time you turn. Air conditioning was full of mold and the smelled like urine when it was on. Everything was old and outdated. Never coming back.
- 2/5
The staff was very friendly. However we requested no air freshener and the smell of it was terrible. The room was large but very outdated and the bed was very uncomfortable. The room next door was in and out all night and even tried or die knives at one point.. we and to leaving at daylight

No good No good

Very nice room and clean.
- 1/5
Sadly, the reassurance did not match the reality. The room — especially the bathroom — was not clean. The sinks, floors, and tub appeared dirty and honestly felt like a hazard. This went beyond being outdated; it was a cleanliness issue that should never be overlooked. Based on my experience, I do not recommend staying here.

We’ve stayed here before and had a great experience inside the main building. This time, though, we were in the back. The musty smell in the room was so bad we almost had to leave. It was honestly awful. Very disappointing.

Quick check in very clean and quiet atmosphere room was very clean and smelled great

I love this property. The room is clean, staff is friendly and helpful. Great location. We stayed here 2 nights. They clean the room and changed tower and bed sheet. High recommended. Definitely come back.

All was very good. Clean. Friendly staff.

- 3/5
The room we stayed in had mold on the ceiling. Would not recommend this place
- 1/5
The hotel was dirty and not maintained at all
- 1/5
Room not clean, blood on a towel. Box spring was filthy. Bathroom was unlocked. TV was not working properly.
- 5/5
Didn't have breakfast left to early. But everything else was wonderful
- 4.5/5
It was a little dated, could I use some upgrades in the bathroom
- 3/5
The hotel is either in the mist of a rehab or its becoming very run down. The elevator hasn't worked for weeks, the pool is in shambles and will be out for a year. The room furniture was shabby. On the plus side the room was clean, the bed was comfortable and the AC worked well and there was plenty of hot water.
- 1/5
The beds were hard as a rock. There was all kinds of noise before 7:00 am. Garbage trucks, lawn crew with a blower. No one at the front desk at checkout. Just a basket to leave your key. I will never stay here again.
- 5/5
Yes
- 5/5
I know elevator is down. But musty smell in halls and stairs other then that great hotel
- 3/5
It’s very outdated but it’s also very clean
- 1/5
Tried to check in at 3 and no room was available. Then offered me a second story room. That would be fine if they had a working elevator as advertised, but they don’t. Need to update listing saying that. I cannot walk up stairs. You can hear everything from rooms next door. It was dirty, outdated and looked and felt like a roadside hotel. Shower was awful. Would not stay or recommend
- 1/5
We left in themed of the night ……
- 2/5
The staff was fine. I was not comfortable in my room. The walls had holes in it. The room was outdated and the bathroom was not up to par. The air conditioning and fridge didn’t cool off. The pool was closed. The photos online were not updated to the properties current condition. The pool and tiki area looks really bad. I wouldn’t have booked if I knew the true state of the room and property.
- 4/5
Staff was great and very polite. Rooms are a bit dated and the bathrooms could use some updates. Very popular local restaurant connected to the hotel, but we did not eat there. Overall, this was a good, economical stay with easy access (12 min car) to the downtown area.
- 5/5
Spacious, quiet and clean place!

- 4/5
The elevator didn’t work.
- 1/5
I would likebto talk to someone about my stay. First the elevator was out my entire stay. Only one plug by the bed worked. Tou couldnt see the tv from the bed because the foot board blocked it. My tub did not work. The balcony lights did not work. Two of the 4 bathroom llights where out
- 3/5
Property was a cute boutique hotel but lacked attention to maintenance. The elevator was out f service, our in room refrigerator didn’t work properly and the pool was closed.
- 4/5
The motel was very nice & comfortable & the staff was very accommodating & friendly. The only issue was that we were put on the 3rd floor, due to no available rooms on the 1st floor, & since the elevator was not working, we had to walk up 3 flights of stairs with our luggage. I have leg issues, & being in my 70s, this was very inconvenient. I would hope this issue will be resolved soon
- 1/5
Staff was very rude. I checked in with only the clothes on my back because and a few things some friends had brought me after my house burned down and my two dogs died. I explained that when I checked in with only the money Red Cross had given me to catch my breath until insurance could get to me after the
- 4/5
The rooms were a little outdated but very spacious and clean. Great deal for the price!
- 5/5
I loved my room with a little balcony! The room was clean, staff was very nice, and the location was great! The surrounding neighborhood was very nice to walk my dog, who was also welcomed. Thank you!
- 5/5
My room was spacious and very quiet.
- 2/5
We weren't able to get in for breakfast. The pool was emptied. The elevator didn't work and they charged me 50.00 $ to park my car
- 2/5
Room had musty smell rust around the drains
- 2/5
Room smelled bad, very outdated, unkept, needed a lot of remodeling. Front desk staff was very nice.
- 5/5
Such a great oasis near the airport. Prices are really affordable and rooms are sumptuous as is the good in the cafe! We'll be back!!
- 3/5
I was disappointed in the room. I booked and paid extra for the Superior suite, which shows a balcony and walk-in shower in the room details, but i believe we got (what they call) a Deluxe suite, with no balcony and a bathtub. The front desk explained there were no more balcony rooms available, so i feel i was bumped because i didn't book the room through their website. There's also nearly a $30 premium I paid for a room i didn't get.
- 5/5
Great food and location
- 2/5
Room didn't smell l clean, bed was very old, parking was atrocious. And still haven't been refunded pur deposit.
- 5/5
My room was clean, smelled good and all this holes need to leave in the shelves.

This is a hidden gem with wonderful rooms, fantastic cafe off the lobby frequented by locals who know a great thing, and an accommodating staff. Our only choice while in Tampa just minutes from the airport and at surprisingly affordable prices.

This was a pleasant surprise! Biggest bang for your buck !! It's some what dated, but the room was clean! The hallway rug was so dirty that it gave me pause ! Untill i went into the room . The room was huge, it was my first time in tampa ! I absolutely loved it, i ate a good breafest went to church nearby and i went to ben t. Davis beach ate lunch at whiskey joes fabulous place, great food and VERY AFFORDABLE! Then got in the water. And watch the sunset watching the sunset was the highlight of my trip, i would go back to this location (hotel) again
- 1/5
Horrible place. Half of it was blocked off! The elevators didn't work. The room stuck so bad we left immediately. And the pool was not like the pictures showed it was empty and disgusting. I'm trying to get a refund and hotels.com is making me wait until the hotel refunds me! I can send photos. I've never been more disgusted. Please make this right and do not rent a room here

Always Amazing and Restful
- 3/5
Pool under renovation. Gave me room on third floor that had strong chemical smell. gave me instant headache. they moved me to 2nd floor and was better. No apology from front desk for the inconvenience.
- 5/5
It was comfy and clean. Location was perfect.
- 5/5
The guy at the desk was nice and very helpful. Believe the name was Jake . Definitely met all my expectations as an overall place .
- 5/5
Very great rate and extremely friendly staff. Thanks!
- 5/5
Staff was awesome, room was clean
- 3/5
The room was clean, but smelled like bleach, the front desk staff was friendly, housekeeping was friendly. I didn't eat breakfast there. I liked my stay but I guess I didn't read the fine print because even though I paid in advance for my room, I had to pay a $100 deposit when I got there. The pool is closed and the pictures online fooled me!!
- 1/5
I didn’t even get to stay because of the deposit I got kicked out. The guy at the reservation counter was very very rude unprofessional kick me out of the as a he was terrible and now they won’t give me my money back because they said I can’t I did not cancel. He would not give me a room Bad place to go.
- 5/5
The room was clean and big. You could tell it was a little bit old, but everything worked fine. A/c worked great and water pressure was great. Had to use the stairs to go upstairs so that’s fine as long as you’re able to go up and down stairs. The café had very good food for breakfast. And reasonably priced. The young man at check-in was very helpful and polite. It was a little noisy with the major road close by but the AC helped to drown that out and I slept great.
- 1/5
I do NOT recommended if you want comfort and any place to sit other than your room.
- 2/5
This hotel was a major letdown and felt more like an outdated motel experience than a full-service hotel. Had we known the true state of the facility and its amenities, we would have chosen a different location entirely. The issues began before arrival. Two days prior to our scheduled stay, at 3 PM on November 4th, we received a single email notification stating that the pool was closed for maintenance. This critical, last-minute amenity closure should have been communicated much sooner. The room itself was located outside the main "hotel" building. This isolated location compounded the immediate security concerns we had about the door. The room door was remarkably thin and was loose in its frame, providing virtually no sense of security. My wife felt extremely unsafe due to the condition of the door and the outdated nature of this exterior room location. Overall, we were very disappointed with the quality, maintenance, and communication from this property. The lack of a functional pool and the serious safety issues with the room made this a very regrettable choice.

The room was wonderfully decorated and properly well maintained with delightful cafe on site. Staff was very helpful with our needs. We'll be back....soon!
- 5/5
Jose at desk was wonderful!!
- 3/5
Room was old but clean. Newly remolded. Staff was very friendly.
- 5/5
It is a good value and location if you are flying out of Tampa. The walls are thin and you can hear everything if you are a light sleeper!
- 5/5
This hotel is nothing fancy. But the location is great. The room had dated fixtures, but it was clean and comfortable. Lots of restaurants nearby. Super easy to check in and Staff was very friendly. When I am in the Tampa area, I would definitely stay here again.
- 4/5
Clean rooms, nice cleaning staff. No free breakfast.
- 4/5
The Hotel was good. Expedia on the other hand not at all! Would book through the hotel website first or confident that all the amenities are available.
- 3/5
The mold smell in the room needs to be addresed. Close in the bottom of the bathroom sink with cubbies or shelves. Better elevator access from lobby and other areas of the bottom floor up to higher level floors, and place some lighting at the ice machine. Unlited places involiving customers use is highly unsafe and dangerous.
- 5/5
Nice location, friendly staff.
- 2/5
The place was very dirty!
- 2/5
I was not told the pool and entire building was under construction. You get what you paid for
- 2/5
Had to get a new room because the original one was not as advertised.
- 5/5
All good
- 3/5
To book was a pay now so getting there was when you found out they were in Reno’s The noise from large machinery went on a full workday beside our window People should know that ahead
- 1/5
They blamed this renovations but that is not a fair excuse. If the rooms arent up to basic standards they should not be rented out. Cleaning has nothing to do with renovations. The gentleman helping me out was very kind and it was clear that he did what he could to help.
- 1/5
No good
- 4/5
No breakfast, but has an on site Breakfast and lunch restaurant on site. Pool drained. Thatched roof is in need of repairs.
- 4/5
I really enjoyed itThey up graded me cuzThe pool isn't repair.I love the location of the place. I was very comfortable there
- 5/5
Everything was just how I wanted it
- 3/5
Room was comfortable and nice.

- 2/5
No couch in rood even though I book a room with one No free breakfast Got an email 1 day before trip Saying pool was closed until 2026
- 4/5
Stay was good
- 4/5
So it’s doable
- 5/5
Easy check in & out. Only thing I wasn’t to keen on, was paying $100 security deposit, which I’ll get back.
- 2/5
The pool is closed and drained and looks like it’s been like this for a while. Room had a smell, had to go buy lysol and Febreze. There was a cockroach in the room before we checked out in the morning.
- 1/5
This hotel is a total dump. My 8 year old granddaughter said it looked like a roach motel. The pool is closed and we didn't get notice until the day before. It was not easily noted on the site we booked on, but rather in tiny print at the bottom with all other areas indicating pool was open and available. Construction fencing all over the property. Rooms Stink. There was NO parking later in the evening. The hotel host look like she crawled out of bed in her wrinkled clothing and disheveled overall look. This was one of the worst stays we have ever had in my life. We came down for a nice overnight stay and wanted to relax and enjoy, but we ended up staying away from the hotel as much as possible. The owner and management company should be embarrassed. They will come back and say things are under repair, but there was no activity on-site to indicate they were doing anything currently but renting out as many rooms as they can and offering the least they can to the guests. DO NOT STAY HERE- TOO MANY OTHER NICE PLACES IN TAMPA AND SURRONDING AREAS!!!! DIRTY, RUDE STAFF, AND JUST GENERALLY NOT AN ENJOYABLE PLACE TO STAY.
- 5/5
Room was spacious as well as the bathroom. Very comfortable. They were doing renovations on part of the hotel and the pool but we were notified of that in advance and it in no way interfered with our stay. The bed was a little firm for me but my husband slept like a baby. Restaurant was very convenient and good food. Would love to stay again after renovations are done
- 5/5
Really nice area, as is all Tampa
- 5/5
Wish there was free breakfast thou
- 5/5
What a pleasant surprise. We took a chance in this property and were totally amazed at the attention to detail, front desk efficiency and especially the amazing cafe featuring wonderful food and service. We'll be back soon!
- 5/5
Ni breakfast. There is a restaurant but you have to pay for any and all services
- 5/5
It was great! Would stay there again!
- 5/5
Everything was great except we were not inform that the pool was being renovated which by the looks of your ad was why it looked like a fun place to stay. Was not informed until a couple days before check in. Should have had a discount for that.
- 5/5
Very well lit
- 5/5
In the room had a moldy smell
- 5/5
The people in the room next to us, however, were incessantly noisy. A night manager finally quieted them down.
- 3/5
cons- property severely run down they are in process of renovating so it’s noisy!!!! beds uncomfortable, air conditioner sounds like an airplane engine, weird noises in wall, bathtub didn’t drain took over hour after bathing to fully drain.
- 5/5
It was ok
- 4/5
Clean room
- 2/5
It used to be a lovely local boutique hotel. Simple but comfortable, clean, friendly, safe. It is now a poor facsimile of a fleabag motel. What reports to be a suite is actually a room with a decrepit whicker chair, desk and hard chair, a decent microwave and small fridge. But there is no couch, no separate room—and the mattress feels like little more than a hammock. The bed linens were lovely. However, the towels were threadbare, and the shower curtain barely touched the edge of the bathtub so that every drop of shower water ended up on the bathroom floor. There is no ice machine anywhere in the main building. But one is by the motel-like outside rooms which are populated by transient residents. The A/C unit in my room was very loud and while cool, the room was more humid than outside. Everything felt slightly damp, including my hair and my dog. They claim they are renovating. I saw no work happening, although much of the property is cordoned off. All but two staff members seemed slightly annoyed at all times. The restaurant in the hotel is a well-known breakfast spot. But it closes at 2 PM. The desk cannot seem to provide anything, not utensils, a napkin, an extra trash bag. Which seems strangely unhelpful.
- 5/5
The room was clean, and quite. They have an on site breakfast - lunch restaurant. Good was good, plenty of seating.
- 5/5
Great location and great food
- 5/5
It was a nice clean experience for me and my partner, room was plenty spacious, the tv was big and not slow ,air conditioning was hella cold, but when set to heat mode it had this burning smell that went away after a few mins. Definitely recommend .
- 3/5
The re-modeling construction during our stay made for a few noisy moments and carefully planned routing to avoid closed off areas.
- 1/5
The 6 pillows stunk so bad, I used a towel folded up for a pillow. The AC unit was loud, my room backed up to the generator room - I think- so loud!
- 1/5
Stop using Pine-Sol in the room so heavy
- 2/5
They gave me a second room, it was not much better. Air conditioner was louder than a construction site generator very outdated. Bathroom toilet barely flushed. Had to get the front desk to get the TV to work then after it got shut off, the volume did not work. the swimming pool was closed. When I got breakfast in the restaurant in the morning, which was the highlight of the stay, I spoke with a gentleman who lived in the neighborhood for many years, He told me the hotel had been undergoing construction for several years now, it does not look like they’ve made much progress.Half the hotel was fenced off. Then there were the young skanky women that were paying visits to some of the rooms on the first floor all evening oh and there was a homeless guy that was sleeping on the sidewalk. There’s much more that could be said, but I think that’s enough! Other than that, the staff at the front desk was friendly and allowed me to get a refund for the two additional nights I planned on staying. There are plenty of restaurants and stores nearby and it is not far from the airport. I would not recommend bringing children or anyone you care about.
- 3/5
The property was overall a OK Property the bed felt like I was sleeping on rocks
- 4/5
It was a nice stay every thing was clean and the hotel staff were polite
- 4/5
Room was clean, parking quite a challenge due to closed areas for construction, restaurant good and good location
- 5/5
Meet with friends in town. Restaurant for breakfast was excellent

Lady that was knocking on doors first thing was very rude and unaccomadating. She knew that I did not arrive to the property until almost midnight. I asked if I could have a late check in. She aggressively said “ um no, I will charge you $50 per hour for late check out. Even tho I asked for one at check in. The shower head was janky ay best. Bed wasn’t terrible but not great and pillows had the comfort of a towel wrapped in a roll. Rooms weee set at a warm level and took 2 hrs to even cool down. 3/10 all day.
- 5/5
The noise is disturbing. Traffic workers after 5 pm you could hear the folks above. I would have painted the interiors in light colors. It’s pretty drab brown. Staff was GREAT!
- 4/5
Nice stay just wish the site said pool was closed instead of an email after booking
- 2/5
Very old and needs major remodeling.
- 1/5
Too many cockroaches
- 1/5
Very old
- 5/5
I simply cannot say enough good things about this property. I stayed in the tower section, and was absolutely stunned at just how nice it was. Very friendly staff, an attached quite nice restaurant, and a facility that was obviously very carefully maintained. This hotel reflects the way higher end properties in Florida used to be.
- 4/5
Clean hotel with super friendly staff. Shower temp kept changing. Room was slightly outdated, but otherwise nothing was wrong with it and we enjoyed our stay. A+
- 2/5
Very bad experience. Never come again
- 5/5
It’s near everything you need. All within walking distance or take mass transportation. Great area. very clean room. Room temperature was cold and perfect for the Florida heat outside. Room was always perfect going into it and very comfortable. Hot shower was perfect. They cleaned the sheets and all that stuff. Great room service and great front desk staff. Great price per night. Can’t beat it. Excellent location. Staying here again next time I come back!! Thank you!! Keep up the great work!!
- 5/5
The room felt like an apartment it was so big and beautiful with a living room and a kitchen and the tub was amazing .
- 2/5
It is a nice looking property outside, however all is under very needed renovation. I was not informed about the old and very primitive condition of the room. I was only informed two days later, the pool is closed. Very strong old and moldy smell/air inside the room. we stayed in the unrenovated half of the property, the other half is closed. They shall not book out the room until it's renovated and up to standard. Property itself, is classy and will be nice once remodeled.
- 1/5
Complaint completed. Oh, a cockroach in the room
- 2/5
The guy that checked us in super cool and helpful
- 1/5
I didn’t even stay because I couldn’t pay the “incidental fee.” Expedia would not let me get a refund!
- 4/5
The front desk staff was so nice
- 1/5
This looks nothing like the photos. Pool is torn up. Sketchy people around us. Yelling during night. Felt very uneasy. Only stayed because we got in very, very late from a flight and were leaving early in the morning. I’d keep looking.
- 2/5
Pool and part of hotel under construction. No mention in description. Room smells of smoke.
- 2/5
Where do I start? They are doing some construction, but this was ridiculous. The room was rundown. We found vomit in the bathroom, so obviously it hadn’t been clean correctly. We knew the pool was gonna be shut down. And there was only one plug-in in the entire room, which the TV was plugged into. For $200 a night, it cost about four times what it was worth.
- 5/5
Comfortable and quiet
- 4/5
Our room was clean and the staff were helpful. It would have been nice to know that the pool was closed for remodeling before we booked it. The kids were disappointed with that. Otherwise, the it was a good stay
- 5/5
PLENTY of places to eat around here(and plenty of dispensaries for you FL MMJ card holders). Ill be back! Hopefully next time the pool is open, this time we were informed pool was closed, after reservation was done. Hotels.com didnt say it anywhere...or i sure as heck didnt see it.
- 5/5
My Jacuzzi tub did not work and the properties have a bizarre smell even in rooms .
- 2/5
I was under the impression that there was a pool that was not I was disappointed that there was no full length mirror in the hotel room the hall smelled of mold
- 5/5
Easy access to restaurants
- 5/5
. Very comfortable
- 1/5
this property doesn't look anything like the photos. there are no rooms with balconies that i ever saw. the hotel is under 70% renovations and we had the pleasure of dodging construction. workers who were bleaching the hotel. the wifi is terrible and doesnt work reliably. and that gorgeous pool in the photos? no longer is in existence and has become a mini swamp. no fountains are on or working. the entire place is dingy and sad. will be filing a charge back for the false advertisement and complete lack of accountability from this place. my kids and i spent more time at the chick filet palyground next door then at this hotel. truly disgusting with the way we were treated by the female staff and the property condition in general. the night manager jose is great though and the only good thing about this terrible property.
- 4/5
The hotel was nice, undergoing renovations at the time but the staff was very friendly and accommodating. Had no problem extending my stay with my husband in the hospital. The room was big, parking was esay, and i would definitely go back.
- 1/5
Staff was great but the people fighting all night and the people staying there looked like crack heads
- 1/5
It was truly disgusting. I never write bad reviews. Ever! Stayed here because I thought it would be convenient to go to a Bucs game and it wasn't even that convenient. Room was disgustingly dirty. The pool is like something you would see in a horror movie. The entire place was nasty. The only high point is the you g man who checked me in was sweet. Stay anywhere else.
- 4/5
My second stay at this property, so I know what to expect. The pool was close due to renovation I think and I stayed I one of the rooms near it so it wasn’t as nice as the one when I stayed just above the front desk, but it was still a nice trip…just just to update a few things in the older rooms!.
- 1/5
They did not have a pool and they're also renovating they did not list that they were renovating or that they do not have a pool anymore that they were renovating
- 2/5
The room seemed clean enough but as soon as we walked in I asked my wife if she would be all right. She was not. There was a strong smell of dust / mold or something that can't be masked. During the night she had an asthma attack and had to use her inhalers. We left early. She still has not recovered.
- 1/5
The property is very old (doesn’t not look like in the pictures). The AC unit is very loud couldn’t sleep throughout the night, also there’s NO telephone in the room. I didn’t feel safe in that hotel at all.
- 2/5
Very very disappointed and lost sleep because of the house keeping knocking at my door at 9:08am.. I was working and got in late and alls I wanted was rest and I could barely even get that . Someone should be refunding me for the inconvenience.
- 4/5
The hotel's location is another significant advantage, nestled in a vibrant neighborhood filled with an array of restaurants, shops, and entertainment options just a short stroll away. It truly embodies the essence of a lively and convenient locale. However, my one major grievance lies with the woman who works at the front desk. While the rest of the staff are exceptionally kind, supportive, and accommodating, this particular individual has consistently displayed an unprofessionally rude demeanor. Her attitude has tarnished an otherwise perfect experience at this hotel. I've encountered her on multiple occasions, and each time, her lack of hospitality has been disheartening. Despite this setback, I wholeheartedly recommend staying at this hotel. The overall experience—great rooms, a fantastic pool, and a wonderful restaurant—far outweighs the negatives. It’s a wonderful place to unwind and enjoy everything
- 5/5
Love the Jacuzzi Restaurant in Hotel Blissful
- 3/5
Need some upgrades, but the rooms are nice. The hotel is located in a great area.
- 5/5
Great stay nice place
- 3/5
*They're in the middle of remodeling everything can't wait to see the end result.
- 3/5
The pool and patio is shut down right now (8/2025) for renovation.
- 5/5
Totally pleasant and fine stay
- 5/5
Exceeded my expectation for the price. Did not expect a jacuzzi in the time
- 5/5
Great location close to major thoroughfares but not busy or noisy. reasonable rates.
- 5/5
Pool out of service. Should say when booking
- 2/5
I'm not sure how this location got such good reviews. When you pull up to the property it truly looks like it's condemned and ready for demolition. Half of the property is blocked off and unusable. The pool is an empty hole in the ground. I don't know where the pictures of the property were taken because I never saw that waterfall area. I will say my room was very clean. The refrigerator and microwave worked well. It was quiet and I never felt unsafe even though the property looked like a place you would find a dead body. They offered a small coffee pot. The rooms are VERY old! The whole place smells like damp. If you are looking for an adequate place to sleep with no frills, this is the place is for you. It is definitely not a luxury accommodation.
- 5/5
Good location.
- 2/5
I wish Expedia would stay up to date with the hotels it offers. Half the place was under major construction, with walls missing and pool completely unusable. We did receive an email about the pool from the hotel before arrival but after we had already paid through expedia which had out dated photos of the pool. The rooms are large, have tile floors which is better than the old carpet in the hallways. The bed was clean but uncomfortable. But there definitely spots not cleaned well enough and the rooms had a smell of old cigarettes. The Lobby staff were nice and professional enough but overall the place is really run down. That being said for the price I have stayed in worse and maybe once all the construction and updates are done it be worth looking at again.
- 4/5
I recently stayed at this hotel and overall had a lovely experience. While the bathrooms could use a modern update — they’re a bit dated in style — everything was exceptionally clean and well-maintained. The rest of the property has a unique charm that you don’t find in more generic, contemporary hotels. From the warm, welcoming staff to the character-filled decor, there’s a real sense of tropical beauty and hospitality here. If you’re someone who values cleanliness, comfort, and charm over sleek design, this place is a hidden gem.
- 3/5
I stayed here for a couple nights for a quick getaway for my birthday. I paid for a “Superior suite”. I was expecting a balcony or blinds to where the sun came in, like shown in the photos under the “superior suite” but my room wasn’t like that. It seems the photos are mixed up and they have the same photos on all the rooms that they offer. That was kind of disappointing because that’s what I was looking forward to the most. I read previous reviews about there being a smell in the lobby of mildew and I smelled it upon arrival. Also, I was in room 306 or 308 i believe, and the people next to me were extremely loud, the walls are paper thin. There is a dresser blocking off a door behind it, which i believe lead to the other room next to me that was so loud. The people next to me, were arguing. This is a good place to come if you’re not picky and just want to save a few dollars for a quick stay. Also no pool right now, but I knew that before deciding to come here. The t.v was great, lots of options. Room and bathroom very nice and clean. I would suggest maybe some aromas for the smell atleast in the lobby, and maybe some music? The silence is deadly and unwelcoming. The front desk gentleman recommended the restaurant on premises but I didn’t try it out. The vending machine was very convenient for me though.Although these are the things that I noticed. It was okay , I rested and I might come back again in future. This place has a lot of potential and I hope to see it. Thank you.

Amazing Grace
- 5/5
Comfort and Luxury
- 3/5
The room was hot when we arrived. I left the AC blowing all night, it never cooled down. Then the shower was ice cold. My son couldn’t even tolerate it long enough to bathe. Turned to the hottest temp and the water was still cold.
- 4/5
Great location inside, kind of Leary about the area. "Linda" at the front desk was amazing! She checked me in fast and efficient, then I called while in the room and she answered, very professional, and helpful.
- 2/5
There is a musty order throughout the hotel and our room. Glad if was just one night here
- 2/5
We booked a king bed and got a queen. The room was dirty and the electrical sockets were very loose. The couch was stained and have screws on it. The toilet was very short and not easy to use.
- 3/5
The reservation process did not alert me that the swimming pool was under repair. Is that a hotel problem or the reservation service?
- 1/5
We have stayed here many times and this was our last visit. Due to check in and our experience with who checked us in. They could have easily resolved the issue and kept us as returning customers. Totally disappointed.
- 1/5
HORRIBLE PLACE- the room smelled like cigarettes, bathrooms had hair & not properly cleaned, towel stains, room warm, Pool was out of order. Do yourself a favor and don’t bring your family here and pay the extra $40 to stay in a decent hotel. I learned my lesson you get what you payed for.
- 4/5
Affordable location for visiting south Tampa
- 4/5
A fine property for the money. Close to restaurants and shopping
- 1/5
The property was not anything of what its pictures showed. The room smelled like cigarette smoke and air freshener. Stayed up all night listening to a prostitute argue with someone on the balcony about getting paid. The place looked like a bomb went off on it.
- 1/5
-The lamp in between the beds was very dusty and was also unplugged - The tv services did not work and neither did the WiFi -The wicker chair in the room felt like I was going to go through it -The bathtub has a soap scum ring around it -The sink in the bathroom was not clean Some things could have been overlooked for the money paid for the room but the chemical smell was a no go for us. We have a 18 month toddler that has a lot of health problems so not staying on the room was a no brainer. Another room was offered but it would have been in a similar if not the same type of room.
- 2/5
The smell of the room was a very strong pine sol like smell, so bad. Pool was supposed to be open but not. Just is very run down and didn’t look like the pictures at all, bed was uncomfortable, door handle on sliding door was broken just wasn’t what I was expecting for the price at all.
- 4/5
Water pressure in shower very poor
- 2/5
The pool is out of service, and the tiki bar looks abandoned—there’s no sign of anyone working there. The room I received was nothing like what I saw in the photos when I made the reservation. The bathroom was especially outdated—probably 20 or 30 years old. I'm not sure if they uploaded photos of a different, recently remodeled section of the hotel, but what I experienced was very disappointing
- 4/5
Available at a reasonable price.
- 2/5
Cold shower, no pool, dated bathroom sink n tub rusty
- 5/5
Great version of the "boutique hotel" beware of one night clerk by the name of Eddie, he is actually helpful, friendly, respectful, courteous and professional.
- 5/5
Perfect as usual Heaven sent
- 4/5
location, friendly staff could be a bit cleaner. For a suite not the amenities we were expecting.
- 5/5
I love it here.
- 2/5
The room was spacious but very out of date, pool is permanently closed and also tiki bar, parking sucked
- 3/5
It was not as nice as the pictures and our initial room had a strong musty smell. However, the rep at the front desk was very kind and took us to a different room of which we were happy to move our things to. Great service.
- 3/5
Pool was very different than the pictures online. Mattress was super old and the it smelled of Mr clean. Needs major repairs and TLC.
- 5/5
I chose this for my significant other and I to stay in and be in for the first night together when he came home. I'm not sure if he enjoyed it, he probably did - maybe he didn't, but what I loved was how we stayed together and we did not argue or yell at each other.
- 3/5
According to hotel staff. I requested a room change because the first one smelled terrible of cigarette and the tub didn’t drain. Also the rooms only come with one full-size towel which are very small. The second room didn’t smell so that was good but the beds aren’t really comfortable so it was hard to sleep. I recommend spending a little more and going for a different option
- 3/5
Mostly the hotel was under construction and remodeling. Also, the swimming pool was out of service due to it falling apart. There was no breakfast or any other amenities. Just the basics.
- 3/5
Building was being renovated on one side of the property. Room was quite, clean, gave a retro 70s, 80s feel with the furniture and bathroom fixtures. The room did not have a phone. The pool was not open. The cafe was not a part of the hotel. Open for breakfast and lunch only.
- 5/5
Place was awesome
- 5/5
They employees where fantastic every one was very nice will rent again
- 2/5
This place is NOT what it looks like from the pictures. Very old and not very clean. Needs updated. Was very disappointed. The restaurant on site was good and nice employees
- 5/5
Great location
- 5/5
It was close to event. It was clean and staff friendly.
- 3/5
Check in was a breeze. Upon entering the room. I found the toilet to be running. I notified the staff and they quickly resolved the issue. The bed was a little stiff for my comfort but still comfortable. The AC was 7/10 because 70 felt like 76. Last issue was the shower. Water had 0 cold water. The water was so hot, i could've hard boiled eggs with it. Yes, id stay there again. Affordable and with a helpful friendly staff
- 1/5
Beds uncomfortable pool was closed super over priced
