Reviews
Guests generally appreciate the cleanliness and comfort of the hotel, as well as the helpfulness of the staff. However, there are recurring issues with the air conditioning, shower drains, and parking. Some guests also express disappointment with the pool area and the lack of coffee in the lobby.
- Clean and comfortable rooms

- Air conditioning issues
- Shower drain problems and lack of hot water
- Confusing or inconvenient parking
- Disappointing pool area and lack of lounge chairs

Clean and the staff were helpful. I would stay again!

The hotel building was nice and the staff were friendly. The rooms were dated and the bed was uncomfortable. My expectation with Autograph hotels is that they should be above standard. This one was below standard, in my opinion. I’ve had nicer rooms with better in room amenities at a Red Roof. The TV brought be back to the 90s. No streaming capability and only 15ish live channels to choose from. The guide was a scrolling guide- nothing I could go through on my own. I haven’t seen the scrolling guide since I was a kid looking for cartoons on a Saturday morning. The bed was pretty terrible. I feel like the bottom of the bed was higher than the headboard- it seemed as if we were slightly tilted backwards while sleeping. It was a short stay- we checked in at 6pm and were out by 4:30am so I didn’t get a chance to see the rest of the hotel- but I would not stay there again based on the room.

My family and I stayed here for one night and we have no complaints. There is a Publix and a service station within walking distance. There are sidewalks, the streets are well lit and crossings have been provided. Please use the crosswalks as the traffic in this area is pretty heavy and at times pretty fast. The atrium of the hotel is pictured as it is online. The room was clean and very comfortable for our stay. It was also pretty spacious. If visiting the are again, we would stay here. We did not eat the breakfast but there was a microwave in the lobby that we used to reheat our leftovers.

The location is great The bed was a little too high.
- 3/5
No, I thought it was included and ate elsewhere which cost less. Room was clean but there was only 2 places to charge my phone, the TV and a lamp which charged slowly. Some furniture needed fixing. It was part of an office complex, so I couldn’t open the drapes without seeing people working. I’m short and the bed was extremely high to get into. Not a bad place to stay. I give 3.75/5. If you want a view and sunshine I would stay somewhere else.
- 5/5
This is a nice quieter hotel. Full bar opens at 3pm. Breakfast buffet on weekends for purchase. A small coffee shop, coffee was very good btw. Fitness center. Lots of quiet sitting areas to hang with family or visitors. Shay is hands down best CSR agent at check in! She will answer any questions you may have. While we did have a car there self pay parking covered garage in Florida heat you need it! 20 for a overnight stay or you can valet for 35. We ubered down to channel side for dinner and easy to get an uber to and from. We will definitely stay again!

We had a great stay. We have been to Tampa a lot in the last 4 years visiting my son at school. This was the best hotel experience of them all. Publix next door, Starbucks across the street and lots of restaurant across Kennedy. The staff was very friendly and the property top notch.
- 5/5
Everyone was so friendly especially Dedo. He made you feel as if you were extra special. Dedo went out of his way to greet each person. He gave women a rose on Mother’s Day. What an amazing individual. Hotel was very clean. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Each time I stay at The Westshore Grand, my overall experience has been great.

House keeping didn’t clean properly
- 3/5
Door to bathroom scraping. Pool was closed but shown in ad. At night some noise kept coming from the ceiling which made it hard to sleep. Bar and breakfast was good. Workout room had equipment down. Check in and check out was quick.
- 3/5
The pool has been out of commission for awhile now but there is no signage to this fact. I went up to have my coffee on the roof deck but was locked out. I went down to the front desk and was told it isnt usable. I told them it would be a good idea to put a sign on the door. My room phone was also unusable and broken, the bathroom door jammed against the floor but did open and close and my tub didnt drain so I stood in water while I showered. We have been staying here for the last 10 years at Christmas time. This time I came for a funeral and was very disappointed at the fray around the edges there.
- 4/5
Using the parking garage is kind of a pain bc you have to use two separate elevators. Worth the extra cost to use valet instead. Pros: Front desk staff & valet were absolutely amazing! Food that we ate for breakfast was super yummy. The whole place is gorgeous and the offices you see while using the elevator reminded me of scenes from K-Dramas ☺️ Great location as there are lots of useful places very close by. Recommend getting room with atrium view vs city view.
- 5/5
The area was really nice with a few minutes walk to Publix, Walgreens, Starbucks, and plaza with plenty other shops. Really nice lounge area and outside seating areas.
- 4/5
Didn’t see no breakfast even it said on the website that it was included
- 5/5
The staff was phenomenal, particularly the man who checked us in and worked on night shift. I forgot to asked his name.
- 3/5
Location was great, lots of restaurants and shops nearby. The decor was pleasant. The rooms are outdated. There wasn’t a microwave in the room, it was in the lobby. The mini fridge never got cold. We did not have an ice bucket so had to use a cooler. There were almost no outlets for charging. The toilet paper holder fell apart every time we touched it. The toilet ran all night. The plug in the shower was not attached. Parts of the carpet were ripped and pulled up. The bed was too high. It’s in the middle of a business center so the view was offices and people working. We booked this hotel expecting a pool as one was listed as an amenity. The front desk clerk responded rudely when we asked if they had a pool. For the money we spent it was definitely a disappointment and I would not recommend it.

The only thing is that we wished the A/C could have been turned down lower than 65°, because there were four of us in the room and it was in the mid-80’s outside. Bed was comfortable, and there IS a refridgerator inside! Publix is right next door just in case you need to buy anything. The shuttle runs from the Tampa airport to the hotel and back, and its free! Hopefully their pool is up and running soon! Not that we had any time to sit by it because we were so busy lol I would stay here again!
- 3.5/5
The bar served excellent mocktails. The courtyard seating was very inviting and restful. We were disappointed that there was no pool. Disappointed also there was no free breakfast included considering the cost of the stay. We were uncomfortable opening our curtains with the offices looking right in.

I only stay one night so couldn’t actually say much but the room is clean and hotel is great
- 1/5
Where to begin? Check in. First room went up to 4th floor key didnt work. The desk staff said batteries needed to be changed on the door so gave me another room. I always pull the comforter back in every hotel. There were crumbs and hairs on the sheets I took pics and went back downstairs and they moved me again.. this time it was "ok" but if u travel a lot like me this is likely below ur standards. Please note if u check my reviews almost always 5 stars from me but not here. Dated rooms, beds are literally sunken mattresses, odd smell like old home smell, and the tub and carpet etx all old. They dont even have streaming services u can log into on the tv. Its antiquated. I typically stay in 5 star unfortunately due to last minute business trip this is all I could get but I'd expect much better from Mariott Bonvoy honestly this place gives me best western vibes. Never ever will I stay again and I've emailed my company and posted on IG and X the same. I can handle older but not dirty. No apology. No offer to even buy me a drink let alone give a discount even on a future stay.

I had a late arrival at the airport. I had to call 3 times to get the status of the shuttle I ended up waiting over an hour before being picked up. The driver said he just drives through and if no one is standing outside he drives through. I watched other hotel shuttles drive through twice before the hotel shuttle actually came.
- 5/5
Location,bay view, and the cleanliness.
- 5/5
I loved the atmosphere! Beautiful hotel - nice room well decorated. Staff was friendly and efficient. Parking was easy - breakfast bar had the food and coffee that I wanted
- 4/5
Hotel looks great overall, needs more variety of food to order. Also housekeeping did not come around for two or three days. Maybe a microwave in the room too. But good overall.
- 5/5
Lovely staff, frequent free airport transfers, good beds
- 5/5
Amazing time
- 3.5/5
Old and needs renovation
- 2/5
Ice machines on several floors were inoperable, experienced both toilet and shower malfunctions requiring maintenance, hair on "clean towels". Well below my expectations of a Bonvoy property.
- 4/5
Great atmosphere, beautiful decor
- 4/5
Our room was clean but the toilet leaked when flushed to the extent we had to put a towel down, some lamps had bulbs burnt out or out of order. The hotel just looked tired - carpet sagging…
- 3/5
Older hotel, not as clean and well maintained as I expected. Staff are generally not friendly. No pool.
- 5/5
Location, comfort and cleanliness of the hotel and room A plus customer service
- 5/5
Staff was extremely helpful, professional and polite. Shuttle to and from airport was very appreciated. Hotel was clean and conveniently located to movie theater, shopping center and restaurants
- 5/5
Nice hotel , good for an overnight stay! Front desk was welcoming , restaurant evening menu somewhat limited for people with allergies or sensitivities . Breakfast was nice , excellent service !
- 2/5
Was never informed by staff that pool wasn’t available Asked for a cup of ice and was told no ice was available
- 5/5
The hotel was conveniently located to restaurants and easy access to highways.
- 3.5/5
We ordered a salad via room service their salad was $34.00 for one salad!!?? That was ridiculous on their behalf for a salad!!
- 0.5/5
The location and the front desk girl and valet were extremely friendly and helpful The first room room 902, sewage was backing up into the sink. The smell was horrific. I called downstairs on the front desk girl got us a new room 836. I believe it was, the toilet would not flush and had a completely horrific stench to it on the sink the faucet was leaking and the outlet next to the sink didn’t work. I needed a shuttle. And the website had said if I need special arrangements to let the front desk know I did let the front desk know and was told I would have to get an Uber because your guys shuttle didn’t run until 6 AM and I needed to be at the airport at 5:30 AM. This was one of the worst stays I’ve ever had at a hotel.
- 5/5
No free breakfast or local transportation
- 4/5
Room lacked charging outlets for 2026 devices. Overall I would go back.
- 2/5
They need to make sure that everything is updated online. Expedia stated that there’s a pool but there isn’t a pool. Very big disappointment.
- 4/5
I love the location, right across the street from a Mall. Right next to the airport. The outside of the hotel is amazing looking and the inside lobby, The rooms are a little worn out and are in need of a referb for the price staying there. I would still stay here again just needs a little updating in the rooms.
- 2/5
The hotel is dated. Rooms look old
- 5/5
Amazing
- 4/5
Convenient location near airport, some shopping and restaurants . The room was spacious. Staff is so so. Especially luggage guy could not be bothered.
- 5/5
Clean and close to airport/ stadium.
- 3/5
I had a conjoining room and the person staying next to us decided it would be fun to bang on the door of all hours of the night and then after the concert we got home and heard banging at 1am then the next morning got woken up by the cleaning staff entering my room at 8am when my checkout was at 11. They also haven’t sent me back my $125 fee when I didn’t use any amenities or order anything.
- 5/5
Awesome facility
- 2/5
Check-in was equally frustrating. There were 15–20 guests in line, only two employees actually helping, and two others standing behind the desk talking. It took nearly an hour to check in, and then we were told our room keys would not work because the system was down. We had to wait another 30 minutes in a separate line for a staff member to escort us to the room and open the door. When I asked how we were supposed to get back in if we left, I was told they hoped the system would be working again in a few hours and that we should try not to leave the room unless necessary. The hotel has three elevators, but only two were working and both were extremely slow. Other guests recommended taking the stairs because it was faster, which we ended up doing most of the stay. The room was average at best. It was not dirty, but it was not especially clean either. Throughout the property it was obvious that the hotel is older and in need of updates and repairs. We used the lobby bar and restaurant, and both had poor, understaffed service and were average at best. Overall, this property felt disorganized, understaffed, and nowhere near the luxury boutique experience it advertises. For the price, I would not stay here again.
- 5/5
Great location, staff was amazing. In need of a renovation but clean.
- 5/5
Breakfast was great. Only issue was no coffee in the room which was new to me. Overall great location and stay Will do again
- 4/5
Had breakfast every morning at the hotel, the food was very good and the staff were EXCELLENT!! Janeen and Stephanie had this non-morning person smiling and ready to start the day. Thank you Ladies!!!
- 2/5
There was literally a puddle in the carpet in hallway outside our room, making the hallway smell even with a big dehumidifier in the hallway. It was present the two days of our stay and while we complained and were told we’d get some points added to our account, the front desk staff on two different days said they had no idea - so housekeeping, the person who put the dehumidifier out, the first front desk person never communicated it…?
- 3/5
Intl the room the bed was hard and the shower was leaky.
- 1/5
At check-in, I was informed that the room I booked was not available and it would be an hour to two hour wait for a double room, but I could be “upgraded” to a junior suite with a king bed and sleeper sofa. We get to the “upgrade” and it is a double bed, huge conference table, and no sleeper sofa, back down to the lobby we go. Sorry, that room will not work. Ok, we have another room available for you. We get to room 2, it’s what I booked but I use the restroom and toilet is broken! I am out done at this point for this price point. I call back down to the guest relations desk livid but respectful because it is not their fault. We are offered free breakfast but that is all they can do because I booked through Expedia. I am not a breakfast person. All in all I am highly disappointed at the management of this property. It looks beautiful on the outside but the small nuisances ruined the stay for my guest and I. I will research and choose better in the future.
- 2/5
- waited for the airport shuttle for an hour - initially given a room where the hallway floor was soaking wet and a loud fan blowing - 2 of the 4 treadmills didn’t work, 2 working treadmills made dreadful noises

The hotel double charged me for my room and wouldn’t take the steps to fix the issue.
- 5/5
Beds were comfortable and room was clean.
- 2/5
Didn't stay we was so mad because of the bed and pillows The bed and pillows tucked, the bed was like concert and the pillows were like old knotted we had a shit night.!
- 5/5
Room was spotless and staff at the front desk were very pleasant and helpful.
- 2.5/5
The rooms are small
- 5/5
Staff was very courteous, room was cleaned every day, would definitely recommend it
- 3/5
The water was lukewarm, at best, the entire time we were there. Reported the issue to the front desk, they sent someone to check. After advising it was fixed, but not being able to make it hot when we checked together, he stated he was going to go down and check the boiler and never returned. Before leaving, he tried to explain to me that even though you set the temperature it automatically adjusts on it's on sometimes and you just have to wait. I was charged one nights stay for an early check in, with the hopes that I could shower and relax from my early morning flight. Not being able to do so was very disappointing.
- 2/5
Sadly, our stay was not a pleasant one. Upon arrival at the airport, it took numerous calls to reach a live person (8 to the front desk and 2 to the general manager) to have a shuttle dispatched to pick us up. Once contact was made, It took another 40 minutes before we were picked up. At check-in, front desk staff were very friendly, sadly this was the only positive of our stay. In the room, the shower was broken, not staying on when used… I had to shower with my foot on the faucet to try and keep it on and the shower drain was clogged as well. Lots of noise in the hallways made for difficulty sleeping. The lobby was crowded and lots of yelling kids running around anytime we’d come downstairs. Definitely very disappointed given the caliber of hotel we thought this was.

- 5/5
It was great! Good service, immaculate room, helpful and friendly staff, in a great location work lots of great restaurants and coffee places nearby. Would go back!
- 0.5/5
We experienced a terrible night's sleep due to constant mechanical noise from an adjacent room, as well as intermittent dragging sounds from the floor above throughout the night. This was particularly distressing as my 84-year-old mother was with me. I complained to reception and the manager on duty that same night. While they acknowledged the issue, we could not be moved to a different room as the hotel was fully booked. The manager promised to refund our stay after we reported the issue to Booking.com. Despite this promise, we have not received any refund. The hotel has stopped responding to our messages, and Booking.com informed us that the hotel has refused the refund request. Extremely disappointed with both the poor room conditions and the lack of follow-through on the promised compensation.

Nice restaurant and hotel
- 5/5
Shay was amazing
- 1/5
The room felt outdated, the toilet only flushed if you held the handle down, and the remote control didn’t work. In addition, the shower head also sprayed in all directions. There was nothing particularly welcoming about the hotel overall. On top of that, it was quite loud due to a bar downstairs hosting a football game, which made it hard to relax. We would hear random outburst late into the evening. The only real positive was the comfortable mattress. However, my wife woke up on Sunday morning with bug bites on her ankle and legs, which was very concerning. For what we paid, the stay was not worth it — we could have chosen a more affordable hotel and had a similar or better experience. Overall, the property looked far better online than it actually was on top of the problems we experienced. My suggestion is if you have other options you may want to consider them.
- 4/5
The staff is very accommodating and helpful. Parking is complimentary but a little confusing. Restaurant/bar is available on site. Rooms a comfortable, views of internal courtyard. Pool is currently inoperable. Exercise room and outdoor seating/ open play areas are nice as well
- 5/5
Room was nice. Staff friendly. Clean. Not far from River walk.
- 5/5
The staff could not have been kinder and more helpful. Eric was fantastic!! The room was very clean. I was expecting it to be more Art Deco decorated. The one thing I don't like at any hotel is carpeting on the floor. Not that it was dirty, but I prefer all tiled floors. The bed was comfortable. They offer valet parking, but you are also allowed to self park. Our vehicle was too tall to fit so they found a spot in the back for us to park. The area seems safe and is located very close to many places to eat. They have a breakfast buffet in their on site restaurant that looked great! We were in a hurry and didn't have time to eat.

The was beautiful, cleanliness. Room was great JR suite. Staf is wonderful.
- 5/5
We have stayed here a couple times now. It’s close to airport and is consistently good.
- 1/5
Bar smelled like sewer water. No hot water in our shower. Mens bathroom near bar and restaurant had wallpaper falling off the wall and cracked tile everywhere on walls and floor. Manager told us she was embarassed about condition of property but her complaints have fallen on deaf ears. Shocked at the condition of this dumpster fire.
- 5/5
The hotel was clan, courteous and very conveniently located.
- 1/5
Called the front desk 3 times no answer. So I skipped my shower that evening and my husband tried then next morning it was the same.
- 5/5
Excellent staff and clean comfortable rooms
- 2/5
The hotel is dated, the room was a King size and the bed was hard as a rock and the shower never got hot, even after running the water for a while. The rooms are thin you can hear everything. If you have a courtyard view, you will see offices that people work in.
- 2/5
Fire alarm and in room loud speaker on both nights with no explanation. Up/down 10 flights of stairs. False alarm and seems to be consistent issue there?? Need to update protocol and/or alarm system understand for safety too. Shower was lukewarm water for the first night. No real amenities but good location overall.

Great hotel! Love it!
- 2/5
Walls paper thin. Whole thing felt weird and dated. Not worth the money. Can stay down the street at a newer hotel for less
- 3/5
The staff is pounding on your door at 10:00 a.m in the morning to see what time you’re going to check out. The water in the shower was slow to go down, which was disgusting. There was hair in the shower, not very clean. Not the very best for how expensive the hotel is.
- 5/5
Didn't rent a car, but was ok. Mall across the street with excellent dining options. Great dining at the hotel and Publix was next door.

Bar was nice

Beds were very uncomfortable, room was smelly and toilet was giggly
- 1/5
Had a prepaid 3 night stay. I couldn't make the first night so the hotel just cancelled the whole stay and haven't issued a refund. Seriously?
- 5/5
Convenient location for our purposes. Clean, inviting room, welcoming check in staff, nice bar with good food menu.
- 3/5
From the outside, it looks like an updated beautiful Hotel but once inside it does need a deep cleaning, our bathroom door would not shut completely & from the garage to the elevator. It needs to be pressure washed. The elevator carpet needs to be changed. So it’s the little things, but otherwise a beautiful place and it served its purpose for one night. In Jesus Christ Name

It was clean and staff friendly. I requested a handicap room temperature roll in wheelchair. I ended it up in a rum with a tub. Not a practical room for a paralyzed guess. Nit very qccomodating.

My stay was horrible. I was told when I got to the airport that the shuttle would pick me up. The shuttle did not come for over an hour and a half me and other customers were out there waiting and very upset. The room was not up to par. The body wash and other things have not been refilled in the room. I called the front desk and asked for a wake up. Call that I never received. I needed assistance so I went to the front desk around 12 AM and the front desk receptionist was completely sleeping even snoring and did not hear me as I was asking him for help. I have pictures and all it’s terrible. I probably would never go back to Tampa again. This was my first trip there and it was one of my worst. I wish I could get a refund of my stay here because it was definitely a horrible experience. I’m definitely putting my review in the pictures online as soon as tomorrow.

Staff was helpful and professional.
- 5/5
Room was nice and the employees were very friendly and helpful

- 5/5
Downtown Tampa hotel close to restaurants and International Mall. Great time! We always enjoy The Westshore Grand!
- 4/5
Channel. When I mentioned it to the front desk staff he seemed bothered by me & offered to send someone up the next day if I insisted. Lastly, the fitness center didn’t have a water fountain and it was rather warm inside there. I stayed at this hotel one year ago & it is starting to show its age.
- 5/5
Airport shuttle was courteous and friendly, bar was awesome!! Staff, outstanding
- 5/5
You could hear the outside traffic, but I couldn't hear it when I was asleep.
- 3/5
I’m very upset the pool was not available during my stay, I was not aware of this prior to check in or during checkin. It was not until the morning I wanted to use the pool and asked where it was…I was told I could be shuttled to another property to use their pool. I’m visiting from CT and would have liked some pool time during my down time. There was nothing offered for the inconvenience. Not a discount, free breakfast or even a coffee. I would have never stayed here if I knew I wouldn’t have a pool on premises to use.
- 2/5
WSG…you need to do better!
- 5/5
Great hotel, free self parking , lots of amenities except the pool that was closed for repair

It’s all you need for a business trip.
- 4/5
The bed was extremely hard, neither of us slept well.
- 5/5
Didn't use the gym
- 3/5
Staff friendly, check in easy. Property is dated, needs proper refresh - stains on carpet, broken caulking in bathrooms, chipped paint, etc. Housekeeping very efficient, friendly. Quiet room in good location. Fix it & more will stay longer
- 5/5
Everyone was very nice. My room was clean. I was disappointed the pool was closed.
- 4/5
The remote control needed batteries. The Spectrum cable is terrible. The phone in the room does not work unless you use the speaker option. No pool.
- 4/5
Staff are extremely friendly, polite and courteous.
- 5/5
Awesome staff, professional and extremely helpful.
- 3/5
Located on a noisy roadway. Carpet in my suite was stained in many places. No coffee machine, microwave, fridge (guess I overlooked these conveniences when I booked the room). Weak water pressure in the shower. Best feature was the reliable shuttle service.
- 5/5
I will consider this hotel again when I am in the Tampa region again.
- 5/5
Ok
- 4/5
Stayed for the weekend very clean hotel and friendly staff!
- 3/5
We stayed on the 9th floor which had a weird odor the entire stay. The whole floor seemed in urgent need of renovation. Speaking to our room, the floor was sloped, so the bathroom door was hard to open and close and things would roll off the tables. Every outlet was loose so chargers fell out. Our minifridge was stuck in the cabinet, so it would take multiple tries to open the door. No microwave and no ice bowl. TV was odd, the channels didn’t match the guide. It was very challenging to get anyone at the hotel to give us any information about the complimentary airport shuttle. We decided to just use lyft. Overall, this place is due for a major upgrade, and I wouldnt recommend it.
- 5/5
Great property. They were very quick with check in and check out and it’s in a great location. Staff was amazing and very friendly

Everything was working and the staff is super friendly and great people. Made a couple friends
- 1/5
Ceiling had stains from leak with visible drip, bathroom had several areas with visible mold. Shower was difficult to engage and maintenance staff said it needed to be replaced. Finally offered to change us to another room, but it smelled musty. Was offered a third which was acceptable. The woman at the front desk was unfriendly and not very helpful. Overall, a poor experience.
- 5/5
Pool takes long to repair, this was second time in 2 months the pool was under maintenance
- 5/5
Loved the bed/ pillows, dinning was pleasant and good.
- 5/5
Very convenient location! Food and drinks were amazing!

- 4/5
Very nice hotel. Rooms need updated. Had issue with slow drain in sink and very slow drain in shower. I reported the issue after the first night, but it was never resolved. I dreaded taking showers there and standing in water the rest of my stay.
- 3/5
Hotel staff was amazing and hotel is very nice. Not happy that the pool is not available for use. Itt was the main reason we booked the hotel. We were informed by the hotel it was closed the day before travel which was too late to fund another hotel
- 5/5
Clean, and location efficient
- 5/5
Had a great experience…very friendly, love how clean the rooms are. Staff is super amazing!
- 1/5
Overall property is good just wasn’t happy that we were next to loud annoying people when I was there for work. We asked to move or if they could move. Nothing was done. Called afterwards to see if they could do something to make it right. Was just told the manager would call. Never received a call.

Didn't appreciate a guest making loud noises after midnight next door to mine waking me up and affecting my heart and ear drums. I was scared last night checking my car and saw a suspicious male in the parking garage. Flies in my room, felt so uncomfortable, got sick from the dinner last night, and the breakfast sandwich and coffee in hotel also. I went to check out this morning and the hotel clerk was to focused on computer and ignored me. Told her about the toilet problems not flushing and the wet carpet in the hallway. Sorry about the human fecal matter but what was I supposed to do had toilet problems yesterday too - no plunger. I didn't cause the issues. I was offended by her not taking my hotel keys.

THE EATING AND BAR AVALIBLITY WAS FANTASTIC
- 3/5
Awesome Location! Bathrooms in room need updating.
- 5/5
Wonderful property inside a modern office complex. I loved my room so much. But the views were facing inside to the other offices. Had a small illy coffee cafe and a Publix that was walkable. Excited to come back here
- 5/5
Beautiful stay , unfortunately no pool access but great time .
- 3/5
The plumbing in this hotel has issues. The staff was accommodating. Good location and the rooms were as expected for the price.
- 4/5
Very convenient location and affordable. Comfortable room, excellent shower. Staff very friendly. Overall, hotel is a tad rough around the edges, could use an update.

It most definitely needs a remodel
- 5/5
The Westshore Grand is a beautiful hotel. The location was perfect for the event I was attending in Tampa. I had several restaurants to choose from in close proximity to the hotel. I would definitely recommend this hotel.
- 5/5
Clean hotel and room
- 3/5
Hotel is very outdated. Clogged sink, toilet looked like it wanted to overflow maybe it had something to do with the sink. Mini fridge did not work, outdated furniture don't put your clothing in the drawers it will smell like old musty furniture. I could go on and on. Short stays are okay but for a long stay look for other options in Tampa. Staff was very helpful and kind.
- 4/5
I want to give a shout out to the woman who checked me in and offered to walk me to my car to move it to the appropriate parking area. She was so helpful and kind.
- 5/5
Please make sure the sheets don’t have stains and holes in them other than that everything else was perfect
- 3/5
The rooms had thin walls you could basically hear everything. But it was not a bad experience.
- 2/5
I had to switch rooms 4 different times. I booked for two beds never got that. The pool wasn't available during our visit.
- 5/5
The entire stay was amazing! Shay helped us out tremendously every question we had

The pool was closed. Hallways and hotel room smelled like cigarette smoke.
- 4/5
This was my first booking with this hotel and staying in tampa. The lady who checked me in had terrible energy. Didnt talk or even say hey just give me your id after i said i had a check in. Her body language spoke very loud and i just felt awkward. The room was nice but my shower didnt work. When checking out i made sure to go to a different lady at the front desk a older lady. She helped me with a smile and offered a small refund for the inconvenience. The bar in the lobby was amazing and eva the bartender was awesome. Definitely like to come back.
- 4/5
Nice area! Beds were comfortable.
- 5/5
Rooms were clean and quiet
- 5/5
The only downfall was that the pool was not open.
- 5/5
quite and easy parking
- 5/5
Evie at the bar was so personable and sweet, made a solo traveler feel at home and remembered your face from one day to the next. Cleaning staff was utmost polite, as were staff manning check in desks. Lawn chess rivaled HP’s set! Thank you!
- 5/5
One question, why are there no mattress covers on the mattress? Otherwise the stay was very nice
- 4/5
Staff was very helpful. Had some issues and they helped out to satisfy my needs. A little confused about the housecleaning services as they state that they lightly clean the rooms every day but they didn't clean our room for 3 days and we had to ask the front desk to have the room cleaned.
- 4/5
Hotel is very close to the airport but extremely quiet. Onsite pool was unavailable
- 5/5
The staffs were superb
- 5/5
All the staff l encountered was willing to assist with any question or concern l had. The pool is still not open but they offered shuttle to another property. There is some cosmetics and structure repairs that are needed. Once that is done they will be good to go.

I booked the Westshore Tribute Portfolio Marriott in Tampa primarily because I was flying out the next day and wanted to relax by the pool without having to leave the hotel. Unfortunately, the pool was under maintenance — and there was no notice of this online during booking. That alone was a major disappointment, as it was the main reason I chose this location. Had I known, I would have booked elsewhere. Upon arrival, the room looked fine at first glance. However, once I went to shower, I realized the drain was clogged — leaving me standing in a pool of murky water and hair. That’s not something I ever deal with at home, and it really grossed me out. The bathrooms are also a bit dated, which didn’t help. While I appreciated the complimentary parking, airport shuttle, and a late checkout (noon is great), the constant knocking from housekeeping between 9 AM and 11 AM was frustrating — especially since it wasn’t even for me. Someone kept knocking to ask if I ordered water… which I hadn’t. The location is more residential and not close to downtown attractions like the Riverwalk, convention center, or cruise port. You’ll need a car or ride share to get around — it’s about a 5-mile drive. There is a shopping mall across the street and a Publix nearby.
- 4/5
I love it
- 4/5
Clean hotel and nice staff. Best part-they came everyday to clean the room, make the bed and leave new towels!
- 4/5
Wish the option to get food hours were a little longer
- 5/5
Very clean and professional.
- 3/5
Pool not working no telling how long it’s been down or will be down!!! Breakfast is about $30
- 4/5
Great location close to shopping and restaurants.
- 5/5
The property is beautiful and has so many amenities
- 2/5
This is a very dated hotel, with VERY few amenities, no USB outlets or enough power outlets for charging multiple electronics. The pool was under construction right in the middle of a heat wave & we received no notification prior to arrival. I would have booked another hotel. The breakfast buffet is very expensive.

We stayed in room number 405. Upon our arrival, we were directed to park in the parking garage. Upon attempting to park in the garage, we realized that my truck was a bit too high, so we circled around the building and spoke to the young lady at the front desk and told her the issue of the truck not fitting. She says it will be fine for the night just park out front and I will let “them“ know. Directly after parking the truck we took our bags up to the room, went down to the bar and had a couple of drinks. We went back up to our room and realized how incredibly hot it was. We tried just to sleep with no blankets, but it became miserable with no air condition. I called down to the front desk and was told that there was nothing they could do about it when I asked if we could possibly switch rooms I was told they were sold out. This a later learned was a lie nevertheless, we made it through the night sweaty. We woke up early the next morning And headed out only to find printed out paper taped to my passenger and driver side windows of my truck that stated this truck needs to be moved or it will be towed so, I went back inside and spoke to the manager and asked her why they would stick Scotch tape all over my windows and why my truck was going to be towed when they are the ones that told me to park it there. The manager told me she was new and she should not have told me that.(they’re untrained employees do not come my problem.) not one offer to make things right.

Nice overnight stay! Super comfortable
- 4/5
The property was really nice with nice views the only con was the roof top pool was down for maintenance but they did offer shuttle to the sister hotel for guest to enjoy the pool.
- 5/5
Close to publix ,the mall, downtown tampa
- 4/5
Service was good. Check in was a breeze a 2 AM. Also provides crib for the baby. Very thankful for that. Close to the airport also a plus.
- 4/5
I like the proximity to the airport, free parking, airport shuttle and budget-friendly dining. Only thing that made me crazy was the parking was around the corner and down the block, with no apparent elevator and it’s a huge pain to lug everything in the Florida heat.
- 4/5
Very beautiful
- 5/5
Checking in was easy and property is clean.
- 5/5
Great stay. I’d stay again in a heartbeat
- 1/5
I found out that blanket mold… closed pool.. worker are not friendly discussing issues!
- 5/5
We had an unplanned overnight stay due to cancelled flight...Enjoyed our stay very much. The only complaint is that the hotel breakfast did not start until 7:00AM. We had to leave prior to this so missed our breakfast that we had prepayed for! Everything was clean and beds very comfortable. I would recommend this hotel!
- 5/5

Don’t expect the shuttle fast. Waited at the airport for an hour and 30 minutes, even after calling 3 times.
- 5/5
Staff was nice room was clean. Beds we’re good.
- 4/5
While the carpet in my room was frayed and there was some mold in the tub area, the rest of the room was nice and the bed was comfortable
- 3/5
Breakfast is very good, however, lunch and dinner options are too limited and there are not enough healthy options. Staff was very friendly and helpful
