The hotel was quiet, the bed was comfortable, and the amenities exceeded my expectations. I especially appreciated the cleanliness throughout the property and the attention to detail. The location was convenient and close to everything I needed. Overall, I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable stay. I would definitely stay here again!

I have stayed at this hotel 2x now for 2 different visits and I have enjoyed both stays. The bed is really comfortable, it’s a quiet location, the staff is accommodating and it’s in a good location. Only thing is I wish they would include breakfast, it’d make it a lot easier and more affordable for the price.

Our stay was great! Our room was clean and the bed was amazingly comfortable! The rooms could definitely be updated. They still have popcorn ceilings and the old, dark furniture. But it didn’t take away from our stay. I would definitely recommend this place!

I couldn't sleep at all on the first day, and they changed to a smaller patio view with my complain. There's no amenities except shampoo, conditioner, body lotion, and 2 makeup wipes.

This place needs to be deep cleaned. Our bathroom was dirty. They did replenish the towels in a soul however, you can tell that they didn’t clean the tub because there was a hair in tub, it’s so colder was dirty. The carpet smell like it needed to be clean. The AC did not work well the couch is dirty. The bedding has stains in it. It was definitely not worth the money. It reminded me more of a hotel or inn. I would not recommend this place for someone they’re like cleanliness. I read reviews everybody else before me said that it was an exceptional excellent place to stay, but I disagree. It definitely deserve to be in the fair or okay description.

Found a roach in the bathroom the first night

The big negative for me was there was a poor dog next door chained to the tree that cried all the time, so sad and it made me feel bad every time it cried.

Paid for breakfast and didn't get no access to it! Told me the vegan option is only bagel and coffee! After saying I don't have breakfast added to my package. Told me not to go to third party apps!

Customer service is great. I did not like seeing people in the back of hotel parking lot doing drugs and using the trash cover to hold the door open when they see someone coming out or going in. Shady people hanging out in the back, makes it feel unsafe.

Hotel property is very nice and well keep. Loved our king room!! The couch was a plus! We didn't use the pillow but the area was very nice. The only complaint would be the bathroom door, it opens up into the sink area, very odd.

But overall I did enjoy my stay. The central courtyard with garden and pool offered a welcome retreat from the outer ugliness. And the rooms were comfortable, albeit in a lived-in kind of way. I don't know if I would chose this hotel again, but the value was good and overall it was pleasant.

Don’t buy the breakfast they offer. Not worth $23 for expired milk, cereal and a muffin

The lobby is the first impression and as soon as I walked in it smelled stale, like a dirty humid rug, same thing with the hallways. Next after speaking with the front desk agent we found out there is no restaurant on site nor a real bar. The bar is a small cart behind the front desk with about 4 bottles in it. The room was good for the most part besides the mold in the shower shelves. They do not make your room everyday, we requested out be made up in the morning of day 2 and they did not, claiming they service rooms every three days. The first day we tried to used the gym and there was zero ventilation, made it near impossible to workout for more than 15 minutes.

The staff was courteous and friendly, the room was clean, it was a short trip and I didn’t use the pool or went outside but it seemed nice and comfortable.

The hotel was clean, the rooms are nice, and the staff was very friendly. BUT, the noise coming from other rooms and the hallway was horrendous, and made for the worst night I have experienced anywhere in years. People were screaming, running up and down the halls, and banging on doors so loudly it sounded likea battering ram. This went on til at least 4am. I guess even maniacs need some sleep. I realize hotels cannot judge their guests ahead of time, but it does seem that some form of monitoring conditions and safety would be part of the process. I will not ever revisit the property.

Upon check-in the night auditor did not even mention any security deposit amount authorized and also that I was getting charge for the late check-in fee. I did not like how the night auditor was chatty also. I don’t need to hear your personal stories. Check the guest in and do your job.

Fast check-in with friendly staff, room clean BUT very uncomfortable at night when AC unit not working properly on a day/night that was hot & humid in Southern California. Set the unit at 67 degrees instead of the normal 70 degrees when I went to bed at midnight. Room did not cool off stayed warm at 78 degrees which got me no sleep! Recommend checking AC unit when you walk in your room.

Very bad experience, noisy all night had bikers and hooker and loud music all night. Very low class place who ever is going to stay here my advice is make your choices wisely and think twice about staying at this place.

There was large group of people that were playing music inside and outside. It made my family very uncomfortable. We had to leave and find a different hotel. The hotel didn’t even bother to tell them anything about the noise

Bed bugs be aware I woke up with bug bites on the day I checked out and noticed more bites everyday. Bites definitely look like bug bites. My room was room 306. So please be aware….

Bed was super comfy! Bathtub was really small and the fridge was in a weird spot. But all in all I was on the top floor and it was pretty quiet for the most part and the location of the hotel itself was fairly quiet and close to alot of places. I do wish they’d consider including some kind of breakfast items. All in all I had a great stay for my first time in California! Thanks!

The beds were incredibly comfortable, which was important for me because I had been driving most days during my trip and really needed good rest. I was able to sleep well and recharge. The pool area was clean and a nice place to relax and cool down for a bit. I also used the laundry facilities, which were clean and very convenient. The staff was helpful whenever I had questions. Overall, it was a comfortable and pleasant stay.

Staff is very rude, no free coffee, parking was very limited with some doors not operating. The room itself is in need of renovation. Popcorn ceiling and light switches were hard to push. The worst part was the constant blinking smoke detector directly above the bed.

I didn’t know their cleaning policy was every 3 days. My room wasn’t cleaned on my 2nd day of the stay. The room wasn’t clean to begin with. It was overpriced for that. I won’t stay there again.

I called and asked if it was possible for me to do a early check in, due to me being in the area and having no where to go until 4pm. The front desk staff asked for my name and asked if I was a rewards member. After I gave her my information she informed me to call back around 12. When I called back I was happy to know that my room was ready. When I walked in I was able to enjoy a nice cup of chamomile tea and relax on the large sofa bed. The large bed with the fluffy blankets and pilows were amazing, but the lavender scent soap and lotion sealed the deal.

Stayed there 5 nights, the room was not serviced at all during that time even though we were told that it would be on the 3rd Day. Kept having to go to the front lobby to get clean towels, linen, etc.

While there were extra sheets and blankets in the closet, we decided to change the sheets on the bed and placed the used ones by the door, hoping housekeeping would come by to collect them. Unfortunately, housekeeping never stopped by during the two days we stayed, and the sheets remained by the door the entire time. On the second day, we finally saw housekeeping, but they still did not come to our room. Another issue was with the microwaves, which are located in the ice room. While this isn't inherently a problem, when I went to warm up my food, one of the microwaves was missing. This forced me to go to another floor just to use a different microwave. To top it all off, when we tried to call the front desk for assistance, no one answered.

we regret staying in this hotel. we couldn't get an additional pillow or blanket or even toilet paper. you need to request housekeeping services and sometimes even doing that, you might not get your room cleaned. This is not even 1 start hotel. Also why Expedia allows to book a room for 4 people and offers a breakfast for 2. I am very dissappointed of this hotel. Only certain staff were very attentive, the rest services very limited

Unfortunately I did get my vehicle broken into the first night I was there and all the contents removed, the hotel has signs posted. Do not park in the rear of the hotel, it is very dark and clearly is a spot where it looked like the person had trash bags to empty everything in them. Hotel won’t do anything, it says they aren’t liable. No video and poor lighting in the parking area.

Had a great stay with a group of 17 ranging from ages 78-3.

Just okay...room was loud (both neighbors, maybe some nearby ducting or something, and the AC was VERY loud). Some furniture was threadbare, there was a stain on the edge of the bedding, and a dirty fingerprint area on the bathroom wall where I think people expected a light switch to be. Overall a very dingy feel.

Room was nice - there was a loud buzzing sound that drove me crazy and the toilet flusher didn't work very well. The plug on the lamps by the bed didn't work on one side of the bed. The bed was comfortable and every single staff member we came across was exceedingly kind and courteous.

Motorcycle club (Buffalo Soldiers perhaps) came into rear parking lot to check in with 20+ members at 2:00 am. Reving bikes, blasting music for over an hour. My room was facing rear lot. Woke our family up, couldn’t go back to sleep with all the noise. Management did nothing to tell them to try and be courteous for sleeping guests.

Grimy hotel right next to the freeway. Gross bathtub, sticky floors, and we were worried about bedbugs. Cleaning staff seemed friendly and on top of it, but there’s only so much they can do. Not being a hater, just want to forewarn anyone discerning who sees the positive rating: don’t be fooled.

Needed and wanted to sleep in at my hotel on a Sunday. Had to turn on A/C to try and hide the noise. Couldn't have my balcony doors open. Not cool!!!

The room was in bad condition! The light in the bathroom did not work, the shower was clogged, so when we shower the water filled up in the tub. The only good thing about the room was the bed. The hotel needs major up date.

The room was very clean and the staff were super helpful and supportive. I left a necklace and didn’t realize until after check out. The staff found it and held it for me for a few days until I could come back to retrieve it. So thankful for their help!

We were surprised that they took a $125 or more deposit. Not happy about that ..most hotels take $50 usually not more than $100 but this is over the top.

However, most rooms are well maintained & the best part is the really nice, professional & welcoming front desk staff that provide personal & personable service for repeat guests

We were there from Oct 11 to the 19th. When the Motorcycle club came it was very noisy, and trashy, they left all they trash in parking lot.

I was shocked when I arrived about the deposit. When booking on Expedia, they advised no surprise fees but was asked to pay a $150 deposit. It was refunded within 2 days after checking out hit was still unexpected. Room service didn’t arrive until our second morning at around 8 am. So we didn’t get any new towels after our first night. Overall it was clean and quiet. No complaints about the room itself.

My stay was ok, there were a few set backs that i wasn't to pleased about. I booked this hotel since I've stayed there before and it had a balcony, which was my whole reason for booking. I was offered an upgrade to a bigger room, but the host failed to tell me that i would be losing the balcony, which is why i booked. So that was one set back, and the 2nd is a rude comment the night desk clerk made.

A backed-up sink, constant requests just to receive basic amenities, and a level of cleanliness that flirts with negligence. The trash can outside by the entrance into the hotel is disgustingly disturbing and foul. The stench was offensive, lingering like a bad decision. Step outside, and you’re greeted by a welcome mat of cigarette butts and scattered garbage — truly a 5-star experience in urban decay. This wasn’t hospitality — it was hostility, dressed up in cheap sheets.

I was given Room#125 went to gain access to a handicap room and i was unable to enter. Trying repeatedly. Later discovered I was given the wrong key. This particular room#111 was occupied the correct room was 125.

I stayed at this hotel for the weekend with my best friend. This hotel is located in a convenient area in terms of food and gas. There is also a Walmart about two blocks away. Depending on traffic it takes about 20-30 minutes to get to LAX and Long Beach Airport. The room itself was standard. It was clean and staff were very friendly. Parking is free. I took off one star because we paid extra for daily breakfast which only consisted of coffee or juice, a pastry, and cereal. It definitely was not worth the extra $25 per night, especially with the nearby food options.

I was at the hotel for about 2 weeks. I can say that the rooms are nice and comfortable and the employees are very pleasant. However on my second week there I had to call almost daily and sometime several times a day about the weed smoking on the patio above me that kept coming into my room through the AC vents. I had a room with the patio but most of the time I was there I had to keep it closed because of the incessant weed smoke. This was happening multiple times a day. For the price that I paid to stay in a patio room I did not get to enjoy it because I had to keep the door closed most of the time. But I would say that was the only downside. On the day that a roach was found in my bathroom they did give me a complimentary breakfast the next day so that was nice as well. But I only saw two roaches the entire time that I was there. And I would not say that the hotel is infested or unclean. As a matter of fact it is very clean and sanitized daily. However sometimes they can get in through the doors because it is a very hot season and there is a pool located right in front of the rooms. Overall I had a decent stay and I was happy that the TVs were smart TVs and would download my apps.

The property was decent for the price you pay. It’s a little run down and can use a little remodeling to the rooms. I wished it was more clean such as stains on the wall. The AC did not work as well so the room was super hot.

Quiet regular place to visit

Staffs are friendly and helpful. Facility is a bit dirty. Pool has a lot of leaves and never been cleaned for 4 days we were there. Bathroom and sinks are dirty.

Great room. Hallway carpet throughout building very stained and gives the impression that the hotel is not in good condition, but the room was very nice. Saw Maintenance cleaning carpet, but did not help, needs to be replaced.

I rate this property 2/3. Our tub was dirty and had rust. I called for towels and it took 2hrs to receive them. We paid for breakfast and was told it was hot. We were not informed that the hot breakfast you had to pay it. Our options were a muffin or cereal (a waste of money). I would not recommend this property at all.

Great Hotel

This hotel is rated 4 stars yet the microwave was filthy and hasn’t been cleaned in YEARS.. the breakfast they serve is not complimentary and even have the audacity to charge for the breakfast… my hotel room was so outdated and old and looked nothing like the pictures. Security doors they have are left open regularly allowing random people to enter. Bathroom is strange with sink outside of the bathroom. Shower was clogged,

Wonderful beautiful boutique hotel! The service was outstanding with friendly staff and appreciative of our choice to stay there. We had an amazing view of the Empire State Building from our room. Highly recommend!

Easy check in & out but it’s noisy in the hallway

Great stay

The only reason Sonesta does not get five stars is that the place is dated. It could definitely use a renovation but outside of that the staff are excellent and the room was better than average. Parking is free and it has a good size lot but fills by the evening. Not much nearby which is why I gave the "Area around the property" only 3 stars. The suite wasn't large but good enough for the three of us since it was 1 King and sofa bed. Perfect! Much better than two full size beds or even two Queens. We visit family in the Torrance area so we will be staying there regularly since the pricing is much better than nearby hotels we have stayed at in the past.

Upon entering the lobby, the decor had a classy feel and the staff as respectful. Although I was told the rooms were booked it was very quiet during my stay. I only saw about five people in the hallway during my one-night stay.

That said, our room left something to be desired. While it was generally clean, it felt like it could use a deep cleaning — there were smudges on the wall, a spiderweb in the corner, and the mini-fridge hadn’t been cleaned inside. On the bright side, the bed was comfortable, which made for a good night's sleep. One suggestion: please consider removing or disabling the ringing sound from the elevator. Our room was close to it, and the constant ringing every time it was used was disruptive, especially at night. Overall, this hotel has potential with a few improvements.

Sign on every hotel room door says checkout time is 12 noon. Front desk locked my key and said checkout time is 11am. Car was full of ants in parking lot. Smell of marjuanua all over the hotel. Limited breakfast bar closes at 10am, way too early. Overall poor quality of hotel.

The hotel is great for a 3* rating, staff were wonderful, and the location is great. The only con was that I did not have hot water in the bathroom for the 4 nights I stayed there, good thing the weather was hot so I managed with the cold water. As a consolation, I was allowed a late checkout at 3pm for free as my flight was later that night. I will definitely go back if i ever find myself in the city.

They really need to clean the carpet in the hallways. Just not alone, would significantly enhance the stay at the hotel.

For the elderly the bed was high and difficult to get on. Possible providing step stools as an option for the elderly.
