Treasure Island Hotel and Marina

Tub was dirty, telephone did not work, coffee machine did not work in lobby, glass door going out to pool was cracked, there was a dog there that did not stop barking did not get any sleep complained but nothing happened! I have stayed here several times in the past but I Will think really hard about staying there ever again!!!!!!!

Great location and freindly staff. This place has so much charm and potential if it were for sale we'd buy it.

I lived wverrything about this place. It was absolutely wonderful. We had the marina view and it was just wonderful. Very well maintained and the staff was great!

The property was clean but very dated. The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was clean but very plain, no decor at all, which made it look drab. The woodwork was peeling, the furniture was old. The best thing about my stay was the bed, it was extremely comfortable. Even for the price which was reasonable, I would not recommend to friends.

Honestly, for what I needed it was perfect. They could’ve been more accommodating with some pretty basic stuff (no maintenance?). That said, a non-front facing young man answered reception when she was unavailable and he was super helpful. Steven, I believe.

we saw family's and couples the next morning. They were not happy. This is advertised as a couples and family resort. Horrible. it was dog poop on the ground around the pool area and a broken umbrella. We spoke to the receptionist did not care. She was too busy sitting down the whole time we were there.

Constantly problems with the room key TV doesn’t work even though you complained about it they just said here’s a different remote never worked. It’s a marina. You can’t even fish there and the staff is no help whatsoever 90% of them don’t even speak. English will never ever go there again and will never recommend it either.

We have stayed here several times - it has always improved from year to year. Solid surface floors, great beds, super clean. If we cannot stay on the beach this is our second choice - right on the Marina ; a short walk across the street to the beach via public access. if you stay try to get the Marina side - you will have a nice little patio or deck right over the the intercoastal waterway and boats slips. Pretty sunrise too. The only reason we gave it 4 stars this time was that there were very rowdy people over us the front desk could not seem to control. The clerk was very nice to us - got permission to move our room down the hall. However it was a little disconcerting - we have never experienced bad renters before there. I think this was an isolated incident. Other small tweaks: The Dcaf side of the lobby coffee machine has been out of order for months ( we have stayed 2X this year). Why doesn't someone fix it? They need more than one ice machine. Also , sad to see the deck bar overlooking the beach and sunset is hardly evern open. I guess most folks just go to to where there is entertainment like Ricki's down the street. But we highly reccommend this hotel!

Overall stay was very good. Staff was very friendly, especially the main bartender. Pool and hot tub was very well maintained and clean. The only slight issue that we had was there was a musty smell when we first arrived at our room. Possibly coming from the AC unit. Otherwise we had no complaints with the room during our entire state. Would definitely staying in the future again. Fair price considering location of hotel right across the street from the beach.

What was advertised was not true. The rooftop bar was not open. There was no breakfast. The internet did not work. Ice machine never worked. The air conditioning was located on one side of the bed. Therefore, one of us was freezing so the other one could be barely comfortable. Our room on the second floor smelled like mildew the entire time. The outside doors don’t lock. So we didn’t feel safe. Barely staffed. There is not a beach view. The beach is too far away.

Arrived after small rain shower and took the power out, but receptionist stayed calmed and checked us in smoothly. Room was clean really enjoyed our stay. Definitely recommend and will be coming back :)

This is one of my favorite places to stay in Treasure Island. The staff is super helpful and the location is perfect. Close to the heart of Treasure Island and just a short drive to St. Pete and/or Clearwater. Walls are pretty darn soundproof; it's a pet friendly hotel and while we did not have a pet staying with us, folks around us did and we did not hear any barking whatsoever. Rooms are clean and spacious and they have kitchenettes!!! Comfy beds and pillows are always a plus! The rooftop bar is awesome and the pool is super clean. Great price and a gem in Treasure Island!

The only cons: thin walls, you can hear everything in the hallway. The bathroom could use upgrades, there was no fan, the tub and door were old. The bathroom door would stick and you think you're locked in. Also, I had to get my door keycard reset 4 times. It continually stopped working. However, we considered those as minor and overall we really enjoyed our stay.

Just a quick trip but enjoyed every minute. The staff was great upon arrival and lobby was welcoming. Our room was on the 3rd floor facing the marina. The room was clean and the bed was surprisingly comfortable. The pillows were so so. We enjoyed the pool after getting settled and then walked just over a mile to John's Pass village. It's a nice walk but you do have to walk up and over a bridge both ways. Stop and watch for dolphins on the bridge. The next morning we are at waffle house and walked to the beach. Yes, it's right across the street, but it's a long walk in loose sand. Light loads suggested. Beach was beautiful and worth it.

The hotel was great !!! It was more than I was expecting!!! I loved: the location (really in front of the beach and restaurants, Publix supermarket) the room, the staff so kind!!!

A perfect no-frills beach hotel with a view of the water. Beach access is directly across the street with many options for dining. Bike, e-bikes, jet ski and boat rentals just a few steps away. Hotel pool is clean with a spa. Washer and dryer, ice machine is available. Dunkin, ice Cream and Waffle House just steps away. I WILL BE BACK!!

Air conditioner kept it cool. Our floors were wet most of the time. I even found water on the night stand. My husband has Parkinsons disease and has trouble walking. The water on the floor made it dangerous for him to walk. The whole room felt damp

There was a very strong smell in the room. I immediately started coughing and itching. Told night staff as it was late, he couldn't have cared less. Had to rebook another hotel. Then was told the next day, they can't alter our reservation and had to call hotels.com. Later, they lied about having had this conversation. Very dissapointing. I would not stay here again nor would I work with this hotels site either.

There was no hot water in the shower. The tv didn’t work. I went to the front desk and the person told me to unplug the tv. And he didn’t have any other solution. And they generally didn’t care about guest service. Would never stay there again.

Beach was across a fairly busy street and across another public parking lot. parking was decent no complaints there. We checked into our room after 5pm and saw the housekeeper just chilling out sitting on a chair in the room on her phone, over all the hotel is ok it served its purpose for a night sleep

overall nice hotel but high priced- the pool was cold (not heated) so didnt use - the mattress was worn out and sunk in the middle.

This hotel looks nothing like the pictures! And it smells like mold! Very old everything! No resturant. No tiki bar. No hot water Terrble AC Please Don’t believe there is a gulf view either because there is NOT I will be requesting money back from Expedia for false advertisement! We checked out 3 nights early and only because we couldn’t find anything at midnight on night one

Clean room, plenty of parking. Very nice staff. Only problem we had was at the rooftop bar. The bartender was talking to her boyfriend the entire time we were there. When we got ready to check out, she gave us a handwritten bill, and then told us she could not give us a receipt.

My stay was good. Yes, pets are allowed, and if you have a service dog, make sure you’re not charged for it. I’m still waiting to confirm if they charged me, as you need to provide a credit card upon arrival. I would also mention that the towels in the room could be improved.

Check in was one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had and I have stayed at hundreds of hotels across the country. The cleaning staff was excellent, the rooms were great, but the amenities as far as the pool and hot tub were not very clean. The staircase going up to the bar was wobbly and dangerous. I would not book here again.

Overall nice hotel

We loved our room on the third floor with the balcony overlooking the intercostal. It was so quiet with no street noise and it was nice to see ppl taking their boats out for the day. The entire hotel was spotless and the staff was so friendly and helpful! The pool area was perfect and the bar in the second floor was a great place to watch the sunset. The location was perfect and walkable to so many stores, bars, and restaurants - we’d definitely stay there again!

Our room overlooked the intercostal. The view was about the only thing worthy of saying anything good about. After the first two young ladies checked us in, the staff either wouldn’t say anything at all to us or generally just ignore us as we passed by. The room was one of, maybe the worst I’ve ever stayed in. From the walls being messed up to the shower tile being pieced together with a shower curtain that doesn’t fit so water spill out into the floor, etc. we had stayed here before and had hoped for it and wanted to believe it was actually “renovated”. It has not been, in any sense of the word. Needless to say it’s our last time staying here.

We definitely wanted to stay at this resort because of its location because of the golf fuse because of the Wi-Fi and most importantly because of the bar because it’s easier to just go up and have a drink and not drive away from your location however the bar never opened. The Wi-Fi barely worked. The room was OK. The weekday staff was really nice the weekend staff not so much. I would love to come back again, but I do think that they need to make some changes and I think definitely adhere to the customer and I feel like they really fail that that I worked in customer service for 43 years. The rooms were acceptable. Our bed every time my husband turned over. You can hear a length the springs and I was hoping that this maroon below us didn’t hear it. We’re a little bit bigger people so we make a little bit more noise. I hope that they definitely change out some of their staff and I think they really need to bring the bar in full-time. The Waffle House next-door was amazing. Gigi was great close by so many amazing restaurants very happy with that. Our room had a partial off view, which I was happy with because I at least got to see the sunset which is my dream.. but definitely the amenities need to be updated. I recommend this hotel would say about three they gotta get up. They gotta have more food on surface. They need to have ice available.

The ocean was visible from out room. We thought it was on the beach but it is across the street; however, the price was good. The Waffle House nest door is a real plus. Very clean and comfortable beds.

The room was very basic and needs more TLC, like adding towel bars and hooks to hang swim suits. The bathroom was small and everything about the room was a little shabby. The room was very clean, however. Even though it seems to have been updated, it still needs work. It was like staying in a Motel 6 or Super 8. In a beach hotel we would expect a safe in the room to secure our belongings, but there was no safe. Every night you could hear the other guests above and beside you, so it was not quiet. It's pet friendly, but that was problematic because a guest left their barking dog in their room for over 6 hours. We finally had to alert management. They were responsive but it took time to resolve. The location was excellent and was an easy walk to the beach. There were many restaurants to walk to and the pool was very nice. The front desk staff could work on customer service skills, such as being friendlier. Some were better than others. Finally, the doors to enter the hotel were never secured. Anyone could enter off the street. The housekeeping was understaffed, but the gal who did our floor was excellent.

Room was clean. Internet service was horrible, had to pay for extra data on my phone as could never get on, intermittent service.

The front desk staff was ok.. but I did not ask for a handy cap room and that's what I received. (And no one informed me that that was what I was paying for) The shower head was way too low for me to even take as shower, and was not adjustable. It was a disappointing experience at the end of a long day.. I was in the st.pete area playing in a TOUGH- grueling International tennis tournament.. and was hoping for a relaxing shower at the end of the day, and in the morning. It may not be a big deal to some people, but as a high level athlete.. I need to relax and take care of my body. I would gravely appreciate a refund.

The staff was very helpful! The room was clean. We were charged resort fees and nothing was available with the cold weather. That is our only complaint.

We didn’t get harbor view king bed and complained and they gave us double Queen harbor view so that was acceptable but said our reservation for harbor view on Hotels. Com came to them as regular room …. We were ok with that because we really wanted harbor view

The Staff was amazing but alot of issues with the property. We could not deadbold the door; we could not open the sliding door (it was off the track) the bathroom door would not close; the shower leaked into the bathroom & into the bedroom through the baseboards. Dogs barking for hours; No internet connection 4 of the 5 nights....I highly recommend a different hotel until there are some renovations.

The room was clean & roomy, the staff pleasant, and the pool & bar area nice. They also had some grassy pet areas for dogs. That was a nice surprise and not something you see often. The room could have used a shower update and the sliding door was hard to open. Overall, a good place to stay and I would recommend them to others.

Everything was very clean and easy to access. Unfortunately the pool was very cold. But the hot tub was really hot. Super close to the beach and the bodega next-door is always a nice addition. There is zero silverware or dishes, however. Sheets and bedspread are super comfortable. Enjoy the option for late check out.

Good value, hotel exceeded expectations for price point with daily cleaning and proximity to a nice beach, our assigned room even having a beach view from the balcony. In room amenities worked as expected.

I usually don't take the time to do this but I think it will help other people. From the pictures it looks OK nice you would have a pool and hot tub and a view of the bay with the boats are docked also you have to walk across a four lane very treacherous highway to get to the beach. But when I got inside it looked like they tried to fix it up but they didn't do any finishing touches. There was like a wall that wasn't finished in the bathroom. Not clean black mold in the tub. Slider doors don't work right. The bed was pretty good I would have to say. But the service really sucked because the people were rude and didn't speak English well. No snacks or free breakfast that's a downer. And lastly I stayed two nights and I got these little bites on my legs three in a row which would indicate bedbug bites. I really don't need to take bedbugs back to my house. Also the towels were totally like a piece of rough cardboard. Not consistent. Some towels were good somewhere awful. Then point is the room across from me reached a pot smell and a dog that was barking all the time. I did not feel safe. I put the ironing board in front of the door. Seemed like a sleazy motel. Did not like the atmosphere of this place at all. The only reason why I went was because they have a hot tub. And walking distance to thethey give you a child for the pool that's like a piece of paper towel. It was a joke. The bar and breakfast area upstairs was completely closed down. Forget about getting help at night.

Return trip for 3 nights after a multi year break. Room on ground floor on marina side of hotel was nice. The room was clean with modern touches including a kitchenette with cabinetry, sink and refrigerator and microwave (a nice touch). We didn't use the pool (too cold) but we did spend some time at the rooftop bar catching the sunsets. Free coffee in the lobby. Breakfast is no longer offered. Off street parking and on the Beach Trolly line running in 2026 hourly weekdays and half hour weekends. Lots of eating places within a short walk. Overall we were pleased with our visit.

So they know how to take the r request but they don’t know how to hold the request. I will still stay here, but I hope that girl finds another job. She is not meant for friendly interactions and compassion with customers.

I never have been at a hotel where you tell them there is a problem with the bathroom so they decide to have maintenance come to your room at 11:30 pm when you are already in bed.

&50 deposit hold for stealing items or damages is insulting as a guest. Bed was comfortable, kitchenette was nice.

I have stayed at this location over 30 years and many changes. The housekeeping staff this stay were very helpful and did a great job. Our last stay was not as nice and we had thought to never return. This stay made us glad that we gave Treasure Island another chance. Thank you to the front desk staff for making us feel welcomed.

We have stayed here multiple times. I like the affordability and how close it is to the beach. I like that the room had outside access.

Cute and quaint "old school" hotel. Has some updates but still needs more. The shower head was terrible but nice new fixtures. Beds super comfy! Sliding glass door to balcony almost impossible to open. Loved the balcony on marina side. I love the mom and pop feel but everything (tissues, cups, etc) felt to be the cheapest possible but this is not a luxury resort.

For the price this was a wonderful stay. Few small aesthetic issues but nothing concerning. Room was overall clean but as we were wiping things down it was clear things were missed (coffee stains on glass table)

Tons of drunk people and every time I opened the door my room filled with Marijuana smoke. Complained to front desk about the sound twice after 10 pm and nothing was done about the party above my 7 year old and I. Seemed like the air conditioner wasn't working right because when we woke up everything in our room was wet with condensation. Do not recommend if you have kids!

I booked this hotel because of location, wifi, hot tub, and price. The location was great, right across the street from the beach, but everything else was bad. The hotel is falling apart. The hot tub didn't work. There was no wifi in the guest rooms. I asked the front desk about it and they said it was spotty. It didn't work at all my entire stay. They recommended I go to a nearby coffee shop to get wifi. Other aspects were dirty or in disrepair. The pool was dirty. The bedding was old and not very clean. The door knob and lock were falling apart and barely worked. I had to swipe my key card at least 10 times before it opened. The shower didn't work well and the bathroom was not well cleaned. Needless to say, I do not recommend and will not stay here again. Definitely overpriced for the offerings. Any hotel that advertises wifi and a hot tub, but doesn't deliver working amenities should offer a refund.

Weed smell pouring in and people just talking so loudly or smoking cigarettes. Gross. The guests all seem strung out like they’re on meth. Great location and very nice check in people. Seems like they could invest here and there and take it up a notch with minimal spending. And just some training and quiet expectations toward staff and guests.

I liked large room with beautiful view of the intracoastal waterway from my balcony, friendly and accommodating staff, Waffle House for breakfast next door and proximity of the beach.

I was very skeptical on arrival, the description/pictures are VERY misleading . When you go to choose room view, don’t look at the photos because basic,pool and gulf view are all the same! Yes you kinda see the gulf and the beach is right across the street but it’s still a good haul to get to the water and this is for any hotel I saw. The bar area has very little to choose from but the bartender is awesome ! Room was overall nice could use a new shower head but bed was super comfy and other than the huge gaps in the door letting in all the light and noise of passers it was peaceful.There is a waffle house right next door and a few nice restaurants with bars within a 10 min walk . The pool was small but I liked the fact as an adult I could go down to it early early or after dark and enjoy a quiet swim. My suggestions, bring your own beach towels if you can, coffee maker in room is a reg kcup for you coffee drinkers. Fridge is cold so bring drinks there are no vending machines but available for purchase $$$. Has microwave and kitchen sink. Will I stay again? After giving it a chance and seeing the other motels in the area- absolutely! Nice lil spot

Decent room for a quick overnight stay. Check in staff were amazing and let us check in very early so we could go to the beach. Room had slight musty smell and AC looked like it had leaked a lot, but smell went away after opening door for a bit. Great view of the marina. On site bar was small, but great.

The only good thing about this property is the location. If you don't mind soaked floors due to condensation from bad air conditioning units, german roaches in the room, rude and unpleasant front desk staff. Hidden fees that weren't disclosed upon check-in.

My husband and I booked this hotel for a small getaway #1 we called two days in advance before I trip to figure out if there were any additional fees to our reservation such as deposit etc. We were notified of the $50 deposit but not of the $16 a day parking fee. I choose to pay when I got to the hotel when I initially booked but my card was trying to be charged at least 8 different times for 3 different prices prior to my arrival. #2 the condition of the room from the creaky uncomfortable bed to the mildew smell was unacceptable. The only thing pleasant about my stay was the water view of the marina minus the sliding door that barely opened. I’m not sure how this was rated to be a “4 star” hotel but I rather spend more money somewhere else for an excellent experience. The $258 was not worth it at all. They should try renovating it and possibly it would be better. So 2/10 at the most and I probably shouldn’t even give it a 2.

The room smelled so clean when I walked in. I got the marina view room which was absolutely beautiful.. if you have kids I recommend the pool view. The staff was very friendly and helpful as well. Beach access directly across the street and plenty of walkable food options to go to.

We had a great weekend. This hotel was close to places we wanted to be near. It has nice bar on roof top that was fun to stop at. We didn't use the pool but it looked clean. We will definitely be back for our next visit

We loved the view from our room of the Gulf beach and the fact that there was a Waffle House right next door for breakfast was fantastic our room was clean and provided a very relaxing atmosphere

Nice place for the money.

If you have an older hotel. This is how you run it. Everything is clean and rooms are spotless. Doesn’t have everything that the big chains have but they do everything to make you stay great. If your looking to stay in Treasure Beach on the cheap this is the place. Next to a Waffle House so breakfast is affordable, and walkable to beach, bars and shops. Pool and hot tub are nice too.

Everything was questionable, the rooms are not kept clean and the front desk worker's tried to purchase unauthorized purchases on my debit card,no phone's work in the room just all around a very horrible experience

The hotel was room cute the beds were comfortable, we had a marina view which was nice beautiful sunrise in the morning. The only thing I wish they served breakfast. There is a waffle house next door but the line was long.

The hotel was in a good location and very clean and good staff. Had a nice tiki bar right outside but did not have a good selection of beer.

The hotel was easy to find driving from the Tampa airport. We got in late due to a delayed flight and staff was friendly and helpful. The pool and hot tub area was nice and clean. Parking was easy once we got our rental car. There was a great ice cream shop right next door and as a bonus, there were coupons at the front desk for a free Jersey Mike's sub! We also appreciated being able to walk across the street right to the ocean. The beach was huge and not crowded and full of shells. Overall, we had a great experience and would definitely stay here again.

The room floors stay wet, very dangerous. Coffee in room and lobby but no hot tea. No breakfast, items available for purchase in lobby fridge. Hotel not on beach although pics make it seem as such.

We were so pleased with how gracious and accommodating the staff were at check in and check out. Our hotel room was very clean and had an absolutely beautiful view of the marina out our hotel room deck.

Nice hotel across the street from the beach. Public beach access is walkable but the shoreline it a pretty good hike. Waffle House is right next door.

I had a huge expensive problem. They towed my car from the parking lot even though I had a parking pass. I had cut up my son visor in the car. No one checked to make sure my car was legitimate. They charged me four hundred dollars towing the hotel offered me no help or concessions

The property was clean and comfortable. A little old but well kept. Parking was never an issue and it was an easy walk to several great restaurant choices and easy beach access. The other guests were all friendly and noise wasn’t an issue at night. We would definitely stay there again.

Horrible hotel. Falsely advertises as a non-smoking hotel and in reality it absolutely reeks of cigarettes and weed. Went to 3 different rooms on all 3 floors and they were absolutely disgusting and reeking of smoke. Tried to get a refund to go stay somewhere else and they were unaccommodating, said we would not receive a refund since it's not within their 24 hr cancellation window. Furthermore, unless you're a super deep sleeper you won't be able to sleep as the A/C is extremely loud and right next to the bed. Terrible customer service, terrible hotel, would not recommend to anyone. Be warned!

It is hard to do this review considering the damage the hurricanes did last year. We have stayed multiple times before and truly the service and team is always excellent..this was the same. We had thr 1st floor this time and I unfortunately had to leave as I could smell the leftovet must or mold possibly hopefully not as Im sure it cosr quite a bit to repair. Also the shower flowed into the bathroom making it a wet mess. I am not sure if I could stay again. Again this is hard to write.

Property: Hotel felt empty. Staff was sometimes not to be found, the bar would only open a few hours a day and the pool was very small. The room was nice with a tv, mini fridge, microwave and a private balcony. The hotel itself was decent overall!

Needs renovations pronto! Very outdated and water damage still seen in rooms and hotel itself from last years hurricanes. On a positive note it is right across street from the beach and a couple blocks from John’s Pass!

I have stayed here multiple times and the services seem to keep declining. We requested a late checkout and was told to call in the morning. What is the point of a late checkout if I have to wake up and call and then were denied. I spend 120+ days in hotels and have never been denied late checkout. The real kicker is I know the room will sit empty with nothing being done. I Have stayed there several times and never had a room ready on time. It was insulting.

Hardly any of the staff could speak English. Very problem some when you are needing something.

Ground floor. When we went outside we were visited by a large dog from next door. She said that Loki was just saying HI. Also the lady was smoking and the smell was coming to us. The unit was clean but there was a leak from the second floor. When we called front desk, they told us that someone will deal with it tomorrow. Beds were comfortable, pool was small and crowded so we didn't go in.

Very Rude check in person! Being threatened with a 50$ charge for not returning a 5 cent plastic room key card. Room not like photo 1st floor housekeeper was nice

The stay was great. The only issue which really wasn't a big deal, they told us from when I made the reservation that our rooms where adjoining. When we called they said that they were and when we checked in they told us that they were but they were not.

The youngster that checked me in was RUDE AND HATEFUL! Trying to talk down to me, my room was not ready on time. Once in the room it was a scaled down version from the photos provided at check in. I was told I would be charged $50. For a room key (for a pool towel) if the 5cent card wasn’t returned. The Tiki bar was Never opened. No hair dryer no plastic Garment bag for dirty clothes. I won’t stay there again. Not a good value…

It was a great stay. The only problem we had was the AC was super cold the whole time and would not shut off. Other than that, it is a very clean and safe hotel with a nice pool and very friendly nice people.

Solid hotel good location. Daily room makep is hit or miss. Neighbors smoked weed and cigarettes constantly. Once they checked out it was much better.

Right across from the beach and restaurants near by. The pool area is open until very late and during our visit it was very loud. A large yelling family took it over. Thankfully once in our rooms the A/C white noise drowned them out. But relaxing by the pool was not an option. Other than that, it was fine.

Front Desk was rude and check in. Room was not exactly what we booked ended up book another room and losing the booking cause they wouldn’t refund it. service was very poor.

Had a so so time. People smoking weed on the balcony the bar area closed the entire time we were there. The lobby smelled like fabuloso - get a cleaning product that doesn't smell cheap. the elevator was filthy. I managed hotels for many many years but there is a product on grainger stainless steel cleaner and polisher, it is amazing for cleaning elevators and smells good too. No breakfast but the pics online could have been from when they used to service it. i feel like they did what they could to get back open and make money and that created an affordable place to stay for us, but I hope moving forward they start paying a little more attention to the details. The one girl at the desk who wanted to go on a trip - don't remember her name but she was sweet and helpful, couldn't say the same for other staff we encountered.

There were some noisy people in the hall, who woke me up at 11 pm. Not a place I will stay in again.
