Had 2 beds & bathroom Went into the room and there was a smell that smelled like cat pee (room 122). We were on the end and quit a few homeless people in the parking lot. I have stayed there before and room was clean. When i first walked in a young hispanic girl was at the counter. Never once acknowledged me or even looked at me. I was the only one in the lobby. went to the back twice never even looking up at me. Finally a Older woman, very friendly came and checked me in.

1. The entire room smells like a lavatory. 2. The assigned room is just next to the railroad, which woke me up every single hour overnight. Never stay there again.

No Air conditioner no housekeeping pool floor qas brown had to go to front desk to get my own towels internet was spotty to moat terrible stay ever in my life
- 2.5/5
Location ok, cleanish, rooms smaller than expected The AC was not working. Ac not working. Rooms smaller than advertised, Booking charged me immediately and it said not payment was necessary until arrival. The motel marked me as a no show I was in room 121. Now motel 6 is trying to charge me again, june 12th. For a room I paid for on May 31st.

Room was not clean. Restroom sink was clogged and dirty. Showers was small and the water speed was shower was very harsh and shower liner kept flying and not in place
- 1/5
Obviously they let pets stay there but they should not let them stay in any room. They should also clean the rooms better after a pet has left. The room smelled of bleach and wet dog. The worst part is after a long day and you climb into bed you feel the fleas from the previous guest who stayed in the room. Very disappointed. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

Nothing was kicked off the property for no reason due to a broken microwave I reported on my last stay the day of check in and when coming to check in yesterday was told I wasn’t allowed back until I payed for microwave The rudeness of Brian who was the one I told about broken microwave upon last stay and he pretended he didn’t know what I was talking about and then I got upset and he told me to leave and I was never allowed back
- 1/5
The location The staff a Me. Brian was very rude I had a broken microwave in room was never replaced and then they proceeded to put a charge on my account for said microwave that I reported the day of check in was noted on a maintenance log went to go stay there again and was told I wasn’t allowed u til I pay for microwave that was broken before I rented room and then he caught a very rude attitude and said I was never allowed back I have stayed there several times with no issues u til now would not recommend

One star is too good for the rating Staff is a bunch of jerks They will fraudulently charge your card, refuse any cancellation, and charge double if you don’t show up If you do show up, it’s a hub — there are homeless people and addicts in the lot they don’t let you cancel. Despite the non smoking laws there is smoking and stench everywhere. If you book though an online platform the motel management will argue with the staff at that platform and keep your money, bad bad bad don’t even think of booking a room here Also platforms like Expedia charge $86– 2x the walk in of $48 so if you’re homeless you get the cheap rate to split with friends and then you also get the benefit of attracting mid income travelers so they can break into the cars if you attempt to leave it. So if you need a cheap place to stay and you e got friends to split the bill and use as look outs so you can rob the travelers while the staff laughs at you, go right ahead and book a room What a nightmare hard to believe these places exist Got calls into my bank, the police, the booking platform and the motel doesn’t care because they sold my room twice- charged me then charged another party after I left for the same room and the jerk clerk pocketed the money

Good parking near my room. They rekeyed my room quickly & efficiently—beautiful orange paint & curtains. An extra hot shower is better than my home. I will definitely stay again. Good location near two restaurants that I could walk to SAFELY day or night. Air conditioning was available, but I didn't need it.

To Motel 6 Corporate Management, I am filing a formal complaint regarding an appalling experience at your Troutdale, Oregon location (NW Frontage St) involving the General Manager, Brian. My wife and I stayed at this location for 26 days. Midway through, we checked out and checked into a new room to ensure compliance with any maximum stay policies. On our final day, I booked and fully paid for our room through Expedia at 10:30 AM. I went to the front desk that morning, updated our key cards, and was told everything was fine. This was our daily routine, as I am paid daily and book daily to utilize Expedia's lower rates—a practice the front desk staff accommodated every morning without issue. What makes this situation entirely unacceptable is that I interacted with Brian face-to-face nearly every single day of our 26-day stay. He had dozens of opportunities to politely mention any policy concerns regarding our booking methods or length of stay. Instead, he chose to remain silent for weeks, only to wait until 8:45 PM on a fully paid night to launch a hostile, unprovoked eviction. This lack of communication proves his actions were not standard policy enforcement, but a premeditated, targeted attempt to strand my wife and me without shelter late at night. During this incident, Brian aggressively accused my wife and me of "scamming" the hotel simply b

Good stop over spot. I didn't get to enjoy it due to a family emergency, but I'll be back
- 2/5
It was really disgusting… our room smelled like pee. There were stains on our towels and pubic hair in the shower. Not to mention it looks extremely sketchy and police were patrolling the motel 2 nights/3 I was there for. Very over priced for the quality you get here. I wouldn’t pay over 20$ a night… very disappointing

The proximity to Edgefield. Literally nothing else. Well, to start our first room smelled like wet dog and rancid feet. To add to this there is no AC unit, only some weird “fan” on the ceiling that blew hot air even on the cool setting. Then the tv didn’t work. We had a maintenance guy tell us he couldn’t fix it and we could trade rooms in the morning. The next morning we packed all our stuff, moved rooms only to find this rooms tv didn’t work either. I went to the front desk who said she’d have maintenance come up but that never happened. The shower was similar to showering in an RV shower with even worse water pressure. The floors appeared dirty, a large dog was barking in the next room. This was easily one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had.
- 1/5
I arrived expecting a basic place to sleep, but instead, I was treated to a full sensory immersive performance piece on human neglect: • The Check-In Marathon: I spent three hours waiting at a front desk that felt more abandoned than a vacant industrial warehouse in the Industrial District. • The Keycard Roulette: When I finally received a keycard, it didn't function. Apparently, entering the room I paid for was an optional luxury. • The Atmosphere: The room greeted me with a thick, vintage cloud of cigarette smoke, perfectly complemented by a broken AC unit that transformed the space into a stagnant, humid swamp. • The Hygiene Standards: The shower was visibly filthy, suggesting the cleaning crew had permanently checked out long before I arrived. • The Exterior Decor: To tie the whole aesthetic together, the property grounds were completely littered with dog feces, creating a literal minefield just to get to the stairs. It was so profoundly uninhabitable that I abandoned the booking entirely and paid out of pocket to sleep at a hotel next door just to survive the night. If management wants to look up the paper trail for this complete failure of basic service, check Itinerary #73459060127673. If you value your health, your time, or your basic sanity, sleep in your car instead

- 1/5
No air conditioning druggies in the hotels

This place is disgustingly dirty. Homeless looking people all over the property. The room smelt like mold. When checking in the desk agent was very rude, almost annoyed we were there.
- 5/5
Nice hotel good food right around the hotel great stuff
- 3/5
Overall the aesthetic and room was very clean looking, however the smell didn't pass in that sense. It kinda had this stinky odor of just musk in the room.. probably has to do with multiple prior guests sweating into the mattress because of no A/C.. Other than that, shower is small but water pressure is decent. We paid extra for the microwave and fridge which we didn't really use since we were only in the room for 7 hrs. But overall, ok stay, but would definitely pay the extra $10-20 to stay somewhere else with A/C.
- 1/5
Their A/c is off until the end of may when its 92 plus degrees outside the pool was closed it did not mention either of these things when booking and their appliances "are being replaced". The attendant did her best but she was crying when we got there the locals who live in the hotel were upset things had gotten bad as well. no screens on the windows but were told to open them up for the air. was there all of 10 mins and left to a much better place.
- 1/5
Let's start with the location. It's conveniently located right off highway 84 which is very easy to get around with plenty of fast food chains right next door. The bad things with this motel 6 are the location and the super thin walls. There's an active train track within 75 feet of the rear rooms. You can hear and feel every train that goes by. The train traffic is very busy all night and early morning. It vibrates the bed and shakes the fixtures in the room. I have no idea how anyone can sleep with this level of noise and shaking all night long. I could hear full conversations in the rooms next to and above me while I was wearing ear plugs to stop the noises. Never again will I stay here. Pay the extra money for somewhere better.
- 1/5
Was told it had certain things like microwave and mini fridge but they had nothing. Paid for 2 rooms and one tv didn't work had to get a different room cause they had no maintenance available
- 2/5
This hotel is grimey

Room was dirty, had mold on wall that was just covered up with paint,
- 2/5
Next to a busy highway, and I am very sensitive to noise. Which makes it hard for me to fall asleep. Room is not very sound prrof. Also, air conditioning was not working and the room was so hot at night. No circulation. The water coming out of the slow is really small.
- 4/5
Enjoyed the stay. Room was clean, although there was a strong odor of pet urine in the bathroom. I requested spray and maybe Fabuloso. Was told they would send someone and they never did Other than that I would recommend.
- 4/5
Parking was easy, staff was helpful.
- 1/5
None of the rooms had a working air conditioner—the AC was completely nonfunctional. The staff informed us that their system is very old and will take time to replace, so please be cautious before booking. The male staff member at the reception was not helpful at all. Overall, the rooms were not very clean.

Had NO internet. Broken stuff in room. Forced to move rooms because of terrible employee communication. Forgot items in room and was unable to get them. Called front desk and was abruptly hung up on. Staff harassed us multiple times to move out of room so they could clean a room that was supposedly going to get 'fixed'. We were never made aware of any of this before we checked into room. I am going to be in contact with corporate. Very unprofessional. Ive spent a lot of money at this establishment. Inwould not recommend this motel to anyone.
- 3/5
Average. Not much. No microwave, no fridge.
- 2/5
Tv wasn't working, a/c was blowing hot air. Room felt dingy.
- 5/5
Very clean, nice reception, check in and out was hassle free
- 3/5
The room: Dirty, very dirty. Floors appeared not swept, bathroom smelt of urine, shower had mildew build up on floor which came off with cleaner, sink was dirty, there was a white dried up substance on desk, desk chair, curtain. Bedding seemed clean, towels seemed clean. But room I was not impressed at all.
- 3/5

- 2/5
Checked in at 10:00. Room was cold. Turn the heater on and a note said that it would take half an hour to heat up the room. Got in bed with sweats. Room never heated up all night. They said they were sorry. Shower was awesome though! That's one way to warm up! The room would have been great if it was warm.
- 1/5
Collected my payment for a 4 night stay, then informed me that they would not rent to me. I am still waiting for a refund to be issued.
- 3/5
The bottom of the shower stall was dirty and didn’t get better with it being cleaned. We were there for almost a week and my boyfriend cleaned the room. The sheets weren’t switched with new ones until my boyfriend did it. A cleaning person did not come there once while we were there. I was given $25 refund. Does that make any sense? I do not recommend this motel.

They did not have a room with fridge as reserved. Disappointing

People at the hotel were making alot of noise all night. The amenities were zero. Just bars of soap. Not good at all. Offer more amenities. Cheap rooms not worth the stay. Staff was nice Hotel is garbage and please add more amenities
- 4/5
Low rates, and staff at this location are friendly and accommodating, much different experience than at other motel 6 locations
- 3/5
On the plus side...The staff is friendly most of the time...Cheapest rates by far but you tend to get what you pay for in some way...Another perk is pets stay free...The building seems pretty sound proof as far as I never heard people talking or really being loud but did have 2 toddlers in room above me who apparently had the run (& stomp) of the room whenever they wanted which was not pleasant & of course there was the occasional dog barking. Oh & how could I forget that the train tracks are RIGHT there & trains run by constantly, literally like every 30 min to an hour all night & they are NOT quiet! Not the worst, far from the best & if you can afford to stay somewhere a bit nicer, probably should. It will likely save you a headache.(I have stayed there many times & always something not working)

Bed was broken. Blood stains in the bathroom. Floor was sticky. Room smelled like maple syrup. Previous occupant soap was still in the shower. Windows were wet on the inside.

Felt very unsafe at this location. There was some unsavory people wandering around and we saw police twice. The rooms are not up to Motel 6 standards. Some amenities that were promised were not available. The front desk staff was excellent, but I wouldn't stay here again.

I tried getting my money refunded as we did not receive the room we booked and did not stay. The front desk said they could not authorize the refund. Now the nightmare began.. Corporate Motel 6 told me they have no authority over individual motels (even though it is part of their corporation). Mark, the general manager at the Troutdale Motel 6, assured me he would refund me through Expedia. A few days passed and no refund so I called Mark. He said he processed the refund and I needed to contact Expedia I called Expedia and they told me that since I paid at the property and not them, the property was the one who issues the refund, not Expedia. Expedia offered to reach out to the property on my behalf. During a three-way-call, Mark told Expedia that he told me he would not offer a refund due "to the damages caused at the property" I reached out to Mark again and asked for clarification on why he was telling Expedia something different. Mark was told there were damages to the room due to the dogs I was traveling with. He suggested I reach out to corporate I am now in a loop of "we can't help you, reach out to so-and-so" and am not getting any answers or any calls back with messages I have left. No one can tell me of "damages" caused.

Everything about my stay was perfect.
- 3/5
Overall it was a place to sleep... my only issue was that by the end of the trip I wasn't able to sjeep well because I didn’t have control of the temperature in the room, and the temp was stuck at 72° and I have to have a room cooler to sleep adequately.
- 5/5
Great people
- 5/5
This motel 6 is very economical and reasonable with its pricing and offers the best value for your money! Cant be spending 50 bucks a night and expecting a 5 star service? Yet this motel offered me beyond my expectations in terms of its service.
- 4/5
This was an excellent price for what we got. I had a hard time finding the actual street entrance to the property. I didn’t know this was a pet friendly hotel. So we went to Walmart and bought some Fabreze and some Clorox wipes. No microwave. No refrigerator. No coffee. The fire alarm did go off one of the two nights we were there. But we didn’t see any fire so we went back to sleep. Would I stay here again? Sure. It was very affordable for a family on a budget:)
- 1/5
Horrible. They first put us in room 214 with the hvac not working. The room temp was in the high 80s. After two hours of sweating they lied and said they had told us the hvac wasn’t working. We would not have kept waiting for it to cool off if that was true. They then said the only room left would require us to pay for an upgrade. When we refused to pay for an upgrade they said they could put us in room 217 with a broken tv. We were trying to sleep so didn’t care. What they didn’t tell us was that the locking mechanism on the door wasn’t working. We could use the top latch, but the deadbolt wouldn’t work and the door wouldn’t say tightly closed. We had to put the table in front of the door, but it wouldn’t seal tight so we heard traffic noise all night. I have stayed in lots of economy hotels, but not one that puts people in defective rooms and then tries to charge for advertised air conditioning and locking doors as an upgrade.
- 3/5
The reason for such low ratings is that the room was not clean and inviting. The area around had unsavory people just hanging around. No ice!!! Never have I ever stayed at any hotel that when asked if there was any ice, the managers said they were aware but they hadn’t gotten to around to fix it. A homeless guy hanging around told me where I might get ice in the area. NOPE! At night very late people were hanging around and actually tried to open the door. NOPE!!! There was no bedspread’s, dirty floors. All in all very disappointing.
- 3/5
I chose this hotel over another because it advertised a bathtub. There were no tubs at this facility. The bed was very soft, which was uncomfortable for me.
- 2/5
This motel is next to a busy freeway and was quite noisy during the early morning hours, but what was worse was the fan in the bathroom.
- 2/5
The mattress should have been replaced five years ago. The shower could have been cleaned better. I specifically paid extra to get a room with a refrigerator and a microwave. There was no microwave in the room, so the food that I brought with me and had in the fridge had no way of being warmed up. If you tasted the coffee available in the lobby with a blindfold on, I'm not sure you would have been able to identify it as coffee.

Too many people hanging out in the parking lots in their cars. Couldn’t sleep. Was too worried about the stuff in my car.
- 4/5
It was wonderful, the staff was kind and helpful.
- 3/5
Our first room had a bad mildew smell, we had to change rooms. Then the room that we were provided didn’t have a microwave. So we moved again. Overall the staff was amazing and our staff was great!
- 2/5
Got into a room with a bad smell of cigarettes and smoke. It is bad for my children.
- 5/5
I was very comfortable. I had to buy a hair dryer, shampoo and conditioner because they don’t supply that anymore, also needed to ask for a room with a refrigerator as I was staying for 3 nights. Didn’t have a microwave though.
- 1/5
The stairway and second balcony had excrement and I had to clean it up myself.
- 2/5
Rooms and grounds were clean but the beds are old and in desperate need of updating. Our box spring was broken causing the bed to tilt to one side and made so much noise we were unable to sleep. Our daughterand her spouse had a mattress that had a big depression causing them to roll ivy the middle of the bed. Rooms were clean but smelled like old cigarette smoke. We were supposed to stay for 3 nights but checked out after the first night. We were thankful that the staff was very friendly and we were able to get our last 2 nuts refunded.
- 1/5
Arrive to check-in could not check-in. Because clerk was on fun with law enforcement officer due to a individual in the parking lot, who was clearly mentally ill and disruptive period requested cancellation to move to a safer environment due to being a solo traveler
- 4/5
Beds, pillows, and linens were surprisingly comfortable.
- 5/5
I liked the vibe, the customer service, and the pool area for sure. The price was reasonable as well.
- 3/5
No towels at the pool, no iron or hair dryer..

The shower and floors were dirty when I checked in and the room smelled like smoke. The wifi did not work. Fire alarms went off at midnight and continued for a long time. The door to my room did not close properly (could see under it) and it didn't feel safe.

They didn't find my reservation so I had to wait for others to check first. They put me on the back side next to the railroad that has constant train traffic and is very noisy. I had to drive around to the office to get clean towels and they were not as nice as the original. The police showed up one evening and there was a couple of security guys there the next night. There was no fridge or microwave available. I needed both and to park in front of my door as I am elderly and have mobility issues. I only stay there because it is close to the interstate and it makes my in town trips easier.
- 2/5
There was a ridiculous amount of drug activity in the parking lot, the online photos don’t match the condition of the property, and we stood and waited for over a half hour just trying to check in.
- 1/5
I didn’t stay the night I didn’t feel safe to much traffic and noise!
- 2/5
Feels like they only use bleach to clean everything which is not bad, but the windows can’t be opened (this causes the bleach smell to be super concentrated for the entire stay). The room overall seemed pretty worn out and outdated. Close to the freeway but that’s pretty much it.

The service and cleanliness were great. The price was good. The outdoor pool was nice. The showers were a fun design and had strong water pressure.
- 1/5
We could not stay here, but luckily the very nice office attendant refunded our money. There was a homeless camp next to the parking lot and people were smoking marijuana around the pool area which was wafting into our room. The fridge was leaking water all over the floor of the room. My daughter and I did not feel safe spending the night here and found another hotel.

The room itself was disgusting. Despite booking a non-smoking room, the space reeked of cigarette smoke, and the smell was so strong it made it hard to sleep. The sheets and mattress were stained, and we were so uncomfortable that we ended up sleeping without blankets. We had thrown the bedding on the floor hoping housekeeping would replace them, but to our shock, the cleaning staff just put the exact same dirty sheets and blankets back on the bed the next day. This was easily one of the worst and most unsafe lodging experiences I’ve ever had. We couldn’t wait to leave. Do not stay here—it’s not worth the risk. Shelley from the front desk was really sweet and checked us in fast though. Thank you Shelley! You deserve to work at a better hotel, or somewhere you can be worth more.

No fridge or microwave, freeway noise, but comfortable beds, ac worked great and pool was nice.

Mu stay at Motel 6 was horrible. Druggies, armed security guard had tobwalk around. The rooms were ugly and old looking. Tweekers everywhere. Stay far away from there
- 1/5
99* weather that day. I was on 2nd floor and air conditioning didn’t work. Front office said some air conditioners don’t work as well in some rooms. Did nothing to fix.
- 4/5
I dont think the property per se had anything to do with it BUT on Expedia it said site was 15min walking distance to McMenamins Edgefield, but that is very incorrect. It is 40 minutes walk and we had to take Lyft. It looks very close on aerial map but that is not a walk-able/accessible way. Maybe if you were a small animal or something ; (

I liked how there was a pool. I liked how there's refrigerator in unit. The downside will be that breakfast isn't provided as some other hotels. That's all I can think of.

Everything was great
- 2/5
The ac didnt cool the room and the bed light was broken
- 1/5
I paid extra for a room with a microwave. When i called the front desk to report we didnt have one, i was told just use the one in the lobby. When i took a shower it flooded the entire bathroom. When i asked for a room move, they refused. On top of that, my daughter wasnt able to use the pool as it was closed for no apparent reason and tje a/c barley cooled the room to a comfortable temperature. Plus theres a ton of homeless, and shady looky characters all around.

Good price

Couple of homeless around, area felt unsafe, folks smoking think smoke
- 3/5
Crazy place. They didn't have a fridge in the room because most of their fridges were broken. They offered to put the food in the hotel fridge. Then the air-conditioning didn't work in the room so we had to change rooms. There were cops on the property for a while.
- 4/5
They gave me a room with someone already in there.
- 5/5
Staff was really accommodating
- 3/5
Wasn't happy that I could not control the temperature in the room. Could not turn on the heat to warm up room. I thought the room would have fridge/microwave, but you have to request them. Some sketchy guests made me feel a little uncomfortable and worry about my vehicle overnight. Was supposed to stay 2 nights, checked out after one.
- 3/5
It is a place to stay, with a pool. No hairdryer, but it's a Super 8. It was clean except doors and walls, but it's a Super 8.

Accommodating my special needs son. Perfect for our needs
- 3/5
My wife and I needed some time alone from our kids, wants to just be romantic. But this wasn’t the spot. Instant turn off so we stayed 45 minutes and left. I don’t imagine a refund of any kind but it sure would be nice at this point since there was no cleaning needed after w left. We touched nothing.

Smell really bad
- 1/5
We have stayed here for one night and the room was terrible and in bad condition. There are homeless people all around and felt unsafe.
- 1/5
no sir conditioning at all since June 10ish. promise to refund or give discount don't do at all 😕 super rude and air conditioning only seems to work now in office. everyone has such an attitude problem and don't care about guests anymore at all never staying again!!!

Property is old and dirty. Room smelled musty and dirty. AC was not working properly. Room worked out for an 8 hour overnight stay. Check in staff was excellent.
- 5/5
The receptionist was welcoming and fast.

The room smelled like smoke. I didn’t think smoking in hotels was even a thing anymore, but even if it is unless someone asks for a smoking room that shouldn’t be where they place you. I did not see any thermostat to control the temperature so it got cold at night. You get what you pay for. Never again.
- 4/5
The homeless are on the other side of fence, and i have great empathy however things were stolen out of the bed of our truck, and in a homeless mans wagon. We just moved here from out of state, and too tired to get storage that night.

We frequently stay at this location for business purposes, and I do mean FREQUENTLY!! We've found the staff very friendly and accommodating. Although we have had some small issues a FEW times during stays: bathroom door not locking, fan not working, ac not working, missing fridge/micro, they have ALWAYS come through for my technicians. In our line of business where we travel A LOT, it is hard to find a good stay where my guys can get a good days sleep (working graveyard) without interruption, and staff willing to make a cup of coffee for them even past time. We appreciate this location and its staff very much, and I'm glad to know when I send my guys up North for work, I can rest assured they are comfortable and well taken care off. ☆☆☆☆☆

The area around the motel is not inviting but I just needed a place to lay my head. Check in was easy and quick. Less than 5 minutes and I was in my room.

The staff is amazing especially Shelly and the rooms are nice and clean

My complaint is. I have a reservation to go there. So after I arrived and like, I made another reservation for 12 in advance. I was in office 2 days before next check in and staff told me I could only stay 14 and she could cancel my reservation and remake for 4 days. I asked if I could get the prices at what I had reserved for she told me no. When I made the reservation online it didn't say anything about rule of 14 days. It's been an inconvenience to have to find another motel on such short notice. Now I'm paying 676.00_ for 7 days when my other reservation was 12 days for 702.00$ I had just moved back to Oregon from Arkansa waiting to move into my new place. I don't think it's fair. I was robbed by the new reservation cost due to no online acknowledgement about the 14 day rule. My son and I not only had to move but cost us more for less says.

Booked online but when checked in they couldn't find me at first. Also, weird people wandering around the facility late at night.
- 3/5
I reserved a room with a fridge and microwave. When we checked in they wanted to refund the extra amount for the fridge and microwave due to shortage. No. I needed the fridge, never even had a microwave in the room. And the fridge they gave us was very small. Still happy i got one.

I would not recommend staying here!!!! It was by far the most disgusting motel I’ve ever been to. Immediately upon arrival, I noticed multiple homeless people loitering in the parking lot. The building is extremely rundown, very old & in need of renovations. Dog sh*t everywhere!!! Almost stepped in a huge pile right when I stepped out of my car. The room was somewhat clean but smelled very musty. Other rooms that I walked by on the way to mine had doors open & were completely trashed & disgusting. It’s obvious that there are a lot of permanent residents living there. I was so disgusted & uncomfortable that I decided to stay somewhere else.

We arrived sometime between 10p-11p to check in and pulled in close to the reception entrance. There were some sketchy looking individuals hanging out near the vending machines. When I pulled on the door handle to go inside, the door was locked. There appeared to be a bullet proof glass window like you would see at a gas station with an intercom and small opening to exchange money. We were advised that our room was given away but we were being upgraded to a suite at no charge. We opened the door to a room that looked like the hotel from the movie No country for old men. The room appeared clean but was very sparse with 2 beds, 1 night stand and an old lamp. The room smelled heavily of cigarette smoke and dog urine. We opened the bathroom door and someone was keeping a dog locked in the bathroom as a large portion of the door trim was chewed off. A few times during the night car alarms kept going off and definitely some sort of commotion. We were honestly ready for a forced entry and barely slept.
- 3/5
Room was small with no fridge or microwave and area was questionable.
- 4/5
I do like this Motel 6 better than most in the Portland area. I was especially impressed with the security being so thorough with safety inspections throughout the night. I hope I don't have to ever go back but if I do I'll stay at this Motel 6
- 5/5
The staff are really nice.
- 1/5
The room itself was clean but the smell was HORRIBLE . I don’t mean to sound vulgar but it literally smelled like if someone hadn’t showered , old ppl & cigarettes . The thing is that my husband and I gave benefit of the doubt and asked to switch rooms to see if it was just that one but the other one stunk too ! So i immediately said absolutely not and requested for a refund and left . The area was horrible a lot of drug dealers / addicts and very dirty outside as well. Honestly didn’t feel safe . & we couldn’t open the window either bc there was no screen , when you open the window it’s wide open, no protection ! I would not recommend staying at this hotel at all .

Management was amazing

Staff always friendly and helpful. Its nice that they have security present all night on some nights. We had a quiet stay!!
- 3/5
The desk lady was very friendly and helpful: the area around the hotel was pretty rundown. Room was nice and clean and it was about right for $80 a night.
- 1/5
SO LOUD!!! Couldn’t sleep all night! Freeway, train and airport noise. There seems to be people who live there. Smelled bad, terrible sheets, seemed dirty. No air conditioner.
- 2/5
First, the positive-the motel rooms were very clean. The negatives-very noisy area. Lots of people moving around making a lot of noise at different times. We could hear every car go by on the freeway. Many people loitering around around the motel.
- 1/5
IT WAS SO LOUD with the freeway on one side and train tracks on the other. And it was super sketchy… old, out of date, generally dirty, and did I say LOUD?
- 4/5
It was fairly quiet. The bed sheets were clean along with the whole room.
- 2/5
The moment at the front desk was really nice. I wish she worked at a better location. I was propositioned by a prostitute on my way to my room. Found used condom under the bed. It just wasn't a comfortable stay at all. I wound up utilizing the room two nights of the five that I had booked and staying other hotels during my trip. Which is weird because the motel 6 in Newport was fantastic!
