Reviews
The hotel reviews are overwhelmingly negative, with guests frequently mentioning issues related to cleanliness and maintenance. Many guests also express dissatisfaction with the hotel's amenities and services.
- Staff were helpful and friendly
- Location was convenient
- Rooms were dirty and smelled bad
- Hotel was poorly maintained and outdated
- 1/5
The room that I booked was a Suite for Double queen. Never got that room type and the room we did receive was filthy. Items from previous guests were still there the refrigerator was nasty. Cigarette burns on every surface imaginable but this is a non smoking hotel. My child mentioned the toilet smelled like someone just pooped in it. I was very surprised as Extended stay America has a great reputation. Turns out for this location it’s an exception to the norm.
- 2/5
The Front desk crew is very unprofessional. I called for kitchenwares, it says it will be delivered on the sign, but frontdesk said they do no deliver and we have to grab it ourselves. The floors in the lobby, by the elevator and walkway clearly hasn't been mopped, it was dirty. The smell of the room was awful and smells really old. The bathroom has that funky smell like someone just pooped on there. Never going back there.
- 5/5
Nothing so far nothing at this point
- 0.5/5
when I got the hotel they told me you duble booked me, they do not have a room for me, so i could not check in and no refund.

Heater and air conditioner didn’t work! Stove didn’t work at all

Terrible hotel. Really dirty. Smelled of mirajuana. Plain ol nasty. Would not ever stay here again.
- 4/5
really appreciate that theres a key drop off to check out at even an earlier time
- 3/5
However, making our way to the room we went past overflowing trash cans at every corner. No exaggeration! At the elevators and any corner that had trash cans - they were not just full, they were overflowing.
- 3.5/5
No coffee machine in the room We requested a late check out , apparently the staff in charge at night does not have the authority to do so So we were awaken by the manager at 11.15a to have us check out by 11.45 A cooked or warm breakfast, even if it's on the go, like a warm muffin sandwich with patties, egg And a juice
- 2/5
My room had an terrible smell and the entire room floor was sticky we never took our shoes off to even use the restroom there were ants and the hole room was not even close to what they advertised
- 4/5
Peaceful stay
- 0.5/5
Nothing I had to check in late and when it came time for me to check in they made me wait for 2 hours before they would let me have the room and then when they finally did let me have the room they charged me full price. It was an absolutely horrible experience
- 3/5
Breakfast was OK although the Coffee was more like water. Location very good. The halls and stairs need to be cleaned.
- 0.5/5
I didn’t like anything about this property. The entire experience was awful. From the start of the staff when I was checking gave incorrect information and I missed the limited breakfast there was the next morning. The entire facility was dirty. Nothing had been swept or cleaned up, and the trash cans were all overflowing. The room itself was just as bad. The room smelled musky and not clean. The curtains were broken, and I had to use a paper clip to shut them at night. There’s also liquid seeping up through the floorboards in the bathroom.
- 5/5
Easily accessible
- 1.5/5
LOTS OF POLICE ACTIVITY. SOMEONE OVERDOSE IN ANOTHER UNIT. THAT'S NOT THE HOTEL'S FAULT, BUT MY UNIT WAS NOT VERY CLEAN. SHOWER STIL HAD HAIR IN IT AND THE FLOORS WERE DIRTY.
- 3.5/5
I liked location Hard wood floors not very clean
- 2/5
Staff was amazing, old hotel with lipstick paint and remodling. Rooms smell bad, loud neighbors after hours with no consequences. Pictures are NOT what the rooms actually are.
- 0.5/5
There was blood in the bathroom wall. It smelled really bad.
- 4.5/5
Location and value! Needs a little fixing, but nothing major
- 2/5
No toilet paper holder- will or was there but broken, very dim light in the bathroom, the walls, floors, windows in the hotel were dirty. Mattress had spots. But tv worked great, the room door was very secure, fridge worked
- 5/5
Great room great price
- 1/5
Hotel grounds was filthy and the room as well and multiple incidents with other guests doing drugs in parking lot. Would not recommend this hotel if you have kids. Just avoid not worth it.
- 1/5
Very very dirty. Walked bare foot one night and my feet were black when I was getting into the noisy bed. Then realized the bedsheets had not cleaned or changed. Front desk guy was nice and literally the only reason this gets a one star
- 1/5
Good location No breakfast as promised
- 2.5/5
Out side is not clean and we cannot sleep good because we feel not safe in the place
- 1/5
First room smelled like cigarettes bad I asked to move and they did move me but the Second room had a cockroach crawling on chair. Coffee sometimes comes after 6am so if you’re in hurry don’t try getting any. Staff is nice lots of sketchy activity going on around all day and night though.
- 0.5/5
I was thankful for the unlimited towels and blanket sheets Significant inaccuracy from advertisement: pictures NEED to be updated, Essential features not working (the AC unit needed to be cleaned BADLY), breakfast was a soft bar and coffee, only 2 dryers in working order. Im actually hoping for a refund.
- 1.5/5
Close to everything Smoking in hotel, broken door handle, toilet had flushing issues, finding someone else's hair throughout the room.
- 1/5
Clean better
- 1/5
The room smelled like smoke and was dirty. They moved us and the new room smelled smoky as well. The elevator, walkways were very dirty. The room had a broken kitchen cabinet, the toaster did not work. The floor had crusted dirt and food on it. Overall would not stay again. I do want to mention the front desk staff was extremely nice. Front desk staff.
- 5/5
Attentive associates.
- 5/5
Great customer service
- 1/5
Too much in disrepair. It needs a complete makeover.
- 5/5
Clean facility with pleasant personnel. Good value for the cost. Breakfast is limited but exactly as described and sufficient.
- 5/5
The staff were very accommodating and helpful. The only downside is the enhanced internet connection is 8$ for a day and its just a smidgen faster then there free wifi. So i advise dont fall into the highspeed internet trap!
- 3/5
everything was good
- 5/5
Nice clean stay
- 5/5
It was a clean room, staff was absolutely amazing.
- 1/5
Noisy guest person above us pounding on floor all night. Had to ask for kitchen items, none in the room. No hairdryer in the room, again had to ask for one.
- 4/5
Room was fine, but there was food left in the fridge from a past guest and the bathroom sink wouldn't drain. Otherwise, it was a convenient location and seemed safe.
- 4/5

- 2/5
Neighbors or others rooms are so noisy especially on our above floor Staff has a great service and answering or providing your concern Breakfast was okay, because i was expecting for hot breakfast Dining and shopping is nearby for everything you need.
- 4/5
The staff was professional.
- 4/5
Great
- 5/5
Clean room. Comfortable beds. Staff is super friendly and helpful. It’s convenient to get to the stadium and back. Fantastic for the price. Chris and Sidney were awesome!
- 5/5
Nice stay
- 3/5
I did not feel safe. It was very uncomfortable and noisy as bd did not feel as I could reach out to the front desk.
- 3/5
Good location and friendly staff, the outside is OK. Elevator and hallways are very dirty and smelly. The carpet and wood floor is very dirty. Our feet turned black after walking inside the rim barefoot. Minimal amenities, no hairdryer with half empty bottle of shampoo. With the price of mid 100, I think it should be a little bit better.
- 1/5
The bed sheets were not clean. They smelled of body odor. Near the bed stand was an insect trap full of dead insects and behind the night stand were a colony of bugs. Some alive, some were dead.
- 2/5
Was very disappointed
- 5/5
Great
- 2/5
It was clean, but the inside of the room was filled with dust due to the construction project across the street. It was really , really bad. I left 30 minutes into my stay. Couldn't stand it.
- 1/5
Staff was super rude!
- 2/5
Not in the best conditions. The bathroom cabinets were broken, and when we walked into our room it smelled like dirty wet water and the stench never left. The walls had a bad paint job, the lamp shades were broken as well. This location needs a serious upgrade because it is just in low average conditions.
- 2/5
On the positive side it was super quiet. Never heard neighbors at all and it was packed. New mattresses and tvs were also a plus. But the place was dirty. To the point that I left muddy footprints in the shower from the floor. Check in was a lot of complaining about the job/facility.
- 2/5
But i got bite up, so did my grandkids. And the shower leaked all over, soaking everything. Mutiple times. I would like a discount or my money back.
- 2/5
uncomfortable bed
- 4/5
Yet, we would stay here again.
- 2/5
In a good location. But the floor was filthy. Our toilet didn’t work and maintenance apparently was not on duty through our entire stay. We had to plunge just water down. Smelled like cigarettes. Heater blew out clouds of smoke. Very dissatisfied.
- 2/5
It was a dirty room and the paint was peeling off the wall. I didn’t feel like I could take a shower there and get clean. They left a used mini shampoo on the sink and a bar of soap. Thankfully that wasn’t used.
- 2/5
Had a kitchenette
- 3/5
it is a eco option- for a overnight sleep solo- not family friendly
- 1/5
TV didn't work. main light flashing in kitchen. people smoking on balcony, people living obviously living there. really bad!
- 1/5
Cons: 1. Hallways were dirty, stained and smelled 2. the room itself had the smell of old cigars, even tho it was a non-smoking facility. Perhaps the cleaning products? 3. LVT flooring was dirty - if you walked across the room your socks or your feet were filthy. My guess, they don't mop the floors, only dust them 4. Large ceiling light outside the bathroom had no cover (it was propped on the wall below) and did not function, the electric panel door had been ripped off and was on a table, and part of one of the walls (corner) was crumbling 5. The hot and cold faucets in bathroom were reversed and mis-labeled

I never got my room i made reservations for. Upon check in i was told there were no rooms available. Extended Stay America took my money and will not do a refund.
- 5/5
Wouldn't recommend if you don't have a vehicle with you. But if you DO, there highly recommend this place. Because besides the location I felt like it was perfect
- 1/5
Stinky, dirty hallway. Soon as we enter our room, the stench, unpleasant odor of musty and urine smell greeted us. The floor was unvacuumed and dirty. The bathroom floor still has urine on the floor. We hurried back to the lobby and cancelled our reservation. Worst "hotel" I've ever been.
- 2/5
Great staff. Just horrible dirty property needs a complete renovation and clean
- 2/5
Sanitary issues and noise
- 4/5
The gentleman who helped was very nice and helpful.
- 1/5
The first room that we checked in to was not clean, the bathroom smelled strongly of urine and there were stains on the side of the tub and toilet, the faucet was falling out of the wall, and the TV didn’t work at all. We went to the front to complain and were placed in another room. While the second room was a little cleaner, the toilet overflowed without any use. The gentleman at the front was very kind and came up to try to plunge the toilet. It seemed to be okay but then overflowed again as we were going to bed. We were too exhausted to change rooms a second time but could not use the toilet during the night. When we asked the front desk for a restroom they told us that they didn’t have another one and that we could go somewhere down the road. The overall premises was gross and the floors were covered in garbage and stains from who knows what. We were only offered a 50% refund while I believe we should’ve received a full refund after such chaos and not even being able to use the restroom in our room.
- 4/5
It was ok
- 2/5
Staff was very helpful and friendly , you honestly get what you pay for , trash cans around the hotel were full to the brim , people smoking is random areas of the place , beds were comfortable, only down side to our stay was our tv not working tried two different remotes and it would just turn on to the main menu was not able to connect to any channel with any button on remote , our toilet was clogged every time we used it we had to use a plunger to unclog it pretty upsetting and inconvenient .
- 5/5
Great staff! Very helpful and nice would definitely recommend!
- 5/5
Originally booked a single queen room but was given a complementary upgrade when a last minute addition to our trip was added. Good location next to a large mall and perfect for staying with the intention of going to lumen field as there is a train station in walking distance.
- 5/5
Great stay
- 3/5
The area behind the property was very nice - it was lovely to wake up to a forest-like setting with all the greenery but the freeway sounds sort of spoil the mood. Overall 3/5 - Decent for the price but wouldn't be my first choice.
- 1/5
Place was dirty and smelled like old mop water
- 4/5
Didn't like the beds
- 5/5
Was close to boeing factory
- 4/5
I really appreciate the front desk people ( Andrew -night shift and the day shift guy whose nane escaped my mind) for their friendly and welcoming attitude. They are very attentive and helpful to our needs.
- 2/5
need a different room. the room smells like urine and smoke
- 5/5
They gave me option of rooms to chose from. Friendly and ease of check in. Will recommend to family and friends .
- 5/5
Good place for long Stayin
- 5/5
Super quick and effective check in
- 1/5
There is cockroach I mentioned it to the front and said they are aware of it .
- 1/5
Room was fully infested with cockroaches. Immediately checked out and was told no refund. To top it off when we tried to leave the door handle leading us outside fell off and we were stuck in too for another 30 mins until we were able to pry the door handle open
- 1/5
No hair dryer, bed is too weak I'll never select Extended Stay America Suites again
- 5/5
The front desk agent that checked us in was wonderful! He was very kind and personable and he made checking in a breeze!
- 4/5
All great but not much for hot water.
- 2/5
No water at this hotele
- 5/5
This place was like home away from home. The sraff was super friendly and helpful. The room was clean, kept up. I ended up extending my stay because i liked it so much here.
- 2/5
I had a non smoking room but it smelled like smoke. I had to use a aerosol spray can to help take away the smell a little
- 3/5
It's was comfortable but seems not really clean. Front desk was awesome.
- 2/5
bad customer service and the room is out dated
- 5/5
It was nice.
- 5/5
Friendly :)
- 4/5
Very clean
- 5/5
Exactly what i pay for ...nice staff good food a little pricebut good
- 1/5
The room itself was rather dirty and barely functional. The bedding was thin. Even though the place is called 'Extended Stay', I won't stay there for more than a day. My advice to you: Spend a few more dollars and get much better value nearby.
- 3/5
Clean
- 5/5
Chris was very helpful great service
- 5/5
Very nice place to stay it's quiet and convenient.
- 4/5
Good for price. Room is dim.
- 3/5
Floor was dirty and tub wasn't actually clean. Need new mattresses too. Staff was nice enough and decent location.

- 3/5
Did not have sheets or bed lining/blanket for pull out sofa bed. Also the mattr ss was a bit dirty like just had loose pieces of something on top but other than that hotel did give and respond when I asked for something. Was on 3rd floor, felt safe inside the room with family. Okay if you need a place to stay but aren't picky about pristine cleanliness.
- 1/5
I travel more than 75 room nights a year and in more than 70 countries. This is the most inhospitable place that I've ever stayed at. 1st room had cockroaches and a couch that a cat shredded as a scratching post. Gross food and or other spatters on the walls. I have pictures to share of these conditions. I coordinated with the front in advance about adding an extra room night. Asked the woman onduty if better to do it with her at that moment or on Expedia as we were working long hours through the night. She stated Expedia would be better. Booked / confirmed an extra night to our 9 night stay via Expedia. We got in that morning from working all night at 8:30am Next morning, a staffer pounded on my door at 11am and demanded that I leave. I explained the situation and that we were already confirmed for another night. The person demanded that I come down that minute or they would throw me out of the hotel. DO NOT STAY HERE. Sketchy people and management.
- 3/5
The insulating material in the walls isn't sound proofing enough.
- 5/5
It was great for the one night. The room was big and spacious. I loved the layout. The front desk clerk Erin was very helpful and made me feel welcomed and important. I will be back.
- 2/5
Need improvement
- 5/5
It was nice....
- 2/5
Roaches in the room! Female staff was not friendly.
- 5/5
Room is dated -Tv not very functional, The staff were wonderful but the room was about a 2 star accommodation.
- 1/5
I found a condom in my toilet
- 1/5
Hotel was overbooked and they turned us away
- 1/5
Cockroaches in the room
- 3/5
Room 107 is terrible room
- 1/5
Would never go back there.
- 2/5
The Non Smoking Room obviously had been smoked in.
- 1/5
This was truly the worst experience we have ever had. DONT STAY HERE!!! We got to the room and it smelled like gas so they moved us. At 1:00 am a person walked into our room with a key card. They never changed our room number and rented it to someone else! When I called and told them, the women at the front desk said it wasn’t her fault and hung up on me. We got a Kitchenette but no silverware, paper towels, coffee pot, toaster or anything else. You had to go and ask for everything and they are not nice about it. No ice machine. This place was a nightmare. Needless to say we left. NOT SAFE!
- 4/5
Very convenience to the area
- 1/5
It took way to long to check in. When we did check in, we were given a room that already had a family in it. I was so embarrassed when I walked in. The gal at the front desk was nice but there was a disconnect at shift change.
- 5/5
Will stay again.
- 3/5
Needs remodeling badly, a smell in room
- 3/5
I stayed in room 315. The light from the bathroom would not turn on all the time and the bathroom to flush the handle was broken inside so you needed to uncover it to flush it manually.
- 4/5
I liked that it is in a good location
- 1/5
The 1st room had cockroaches they moved us to the other side of the hotel
- 1/5
New tv that didn’t work with both remotes and staff had no idea on how to fix. Dirty dirty room with bugs, cockroaches and spiders abundant. If the cost wasn’t so high for that area, we would have just left and went to another hotel. This place was absolutely terrible. I will never stay at one of these places again.
- 2/5
Bad all the way around
- 2/5
Comfortable bed. Our room was quiet. This hotel needs a total rehab. Everything is falling apart. We stayed for 5 nights & could not get a hair dryer until the 4th day. The kitchen has NO supplies, you need to ask for all dishes, pots & pans, etc. The furniture is worn and beat up. I would not recommend this hotel.
- 1/5
The room was smelly. I saw spiders in the bathroom. The floor was sticky.
- 5/5
Staying here with a disabled person was perfect. Bathroom very large for both of us to move around safely. Nice kitchen and plenty of storage. We stayed for over a week on two separate times. Sat outside and watched the ducks in the pond behind us. Loved it here.
- 1/5
Poorly maintained, clogged kitchen sink and bathtub drains, peeling linoleum floor in bathroom. Dirtiest hotel I have ever seen. The only positive is the friendly front desk staff.
- 5/5
My experience here was amazing the moment I got the hotel I felt welcomed by one of the staff agents Chris. He’s been very helpful and amazing customer service to me and my family.
- 1/5
For 157.00 for one night I feel like it was too much. Tried to take a shower plumbing fell out of the wall. Felt not safe to go to my car after dark. Constant smell of weed. I had to push a chair up against my door because it would neither close all the way or lock kinda freaked me out
- 1/5
The staff was very friendly. However the hotel room that we stayed in had cockroaches. Me being newly 21 my significant other and I hardly spent any time in the room on the first day I had booked it, just in to change clothes really fast and out to party, and then going to bed as soon as coming back. The next morning was a rude awakening when I saw 3 cockroaches run across the sink on my way to the bathroom.when we told the front desk man, he was very nice and understanding*a little too understanding as if he already knew there were roaches and gave no warning whatsoever, I also checked reviews beforehand and saw nothing about roaches* we left as soon as we could that morning. Other than the roaches the room was nice, and the service was nice, if your down with roaches would recommend but unfortunately I cannot.
- 2/5
Bathtub drain not working properly. Told the staff and she said she can't do anything about it coz it's late. Since we are only booked overnight she's not gonna call maintenance to fix the issue. I told her there's 4 of us who will a take shower, eventually water will overflow. She then gave me another room just for us to have shower.I said ok at least we can shower properly and not thinking about water overflowing .I then realized when i checked my card 1 week after coming back from the trip that they charged my credit card with the damage deposit. Has not been reimburse the amount as of today. REALLY UNFAIR.
- 3/5
It’s a place to sleep for the night. No frills. Clean. And a bit noisy due to parking lot party . Close to freeway. If you’re looking for a place to stay that’s inexpensive. This is it.
- 4/5
Chris and the front desk staff were all really nice and helpful (did not experience any rudeness like other reviews mentioned). We got there at 12 and they kindly let us check in early. I would say that the condition of the room is okay for the price and for the age of the building. Hotels in Seattle and Renton can be upwards of $160 but Extended Stay is in the more affordable price range. There aren’t many places walking distance to eat around the hotel besides Jack in the Box and Subways but Westfield southcenter mall is about 20-25 min walk away. My only complaints would be that the room in general was very dusty (floors, bathroom fan) and that the room smelled very intensely of something (maybe cleaning products(?) - we were able to smell it the whole stay). Overall, our stay was good for the price and location (we were able to Uber to the mall for a decent price).
- 1/5
I was not allowed to check in. Their computers were "in audit" and I was told I would need to wait up to an hour. It was 1am and I needed to sleep. So I found another place 5 min away.
- 1/5
The room smell to much smoke the refrigerator no working room with chicken but no table and no chairs and one of the workers “women” was very rude.
- 2/5
Was very smelly and dark and depressing. The breakfast was a muffin and coffee?
