The location The property was not clean. Floors were dirty. Only one ac wall unit for the entire suite. Paint chipping and peeling. And it was very outdated . Very cheap and outdated furniture . My sister tried to lay in the pull out couch because it was so hot in the bedroom and she got folded up into it. There’s no decor at all . It just wasn’t anything like I expected .

The room definitely had some maintenance needs. There was a hole in the ceiling next to the light by the shower, cabinets were mismatched and in disrepair. There was mold in the living area being blocked by a chair. The dresser had a drawer that didnt close and the inside was dirty as well.The hallway to the entrance of my room was dirty. This among other small grievences point to a lack of attention to detail as far as general upkeep. Normally I would not complain, and despite understanding inflating prices, for close to $300 for one night, all of these issues made for an incredibly uncomfortable stay. I will not be returning or recommending I'm afraid.

We had a decent stay. The hotel is budget-friendly for a family of five, so we knew what to expect. We especially enjoyed the beachfront location and how easy it was to get to the beach—that’s what made us book this hotel in the first place. The place felt somewhat worn and could use some maintenance and renovations.

The photos on their site do not much the quality of their rooms. There were several stains on the bed sheets and the floor was not cleaned. The lock to our room was broken and so was the balcony lock. I have a severely autistic child and he eloped out of the room. The balcony railing is made of PVC pipe and is not even secured on to the wall ; it’s super wobbly. We did not expect too tier service but thought we would have a safe space for our children. We asked for a refund for our remaining stay since we no longer felt safe or comfortable and the management did not want to accommodate our request. Despite us mentioning our safety concerns for our children. If you have a family member with disabilities or children I do not recommend staying here. 0/10

Typical local beach hotel that’s heavily used. Younger kid cleaning upon arrival was super helpful and nice. He got us a cart and took our bags to the room. He went out of his way even though we could tell he was super busy mopping floors. Room was fine- bed was uncomfortable. Only large issue was pool was not in service. It was posted online with pictures when we booked. By the time we got there, they took it off the website and told me I didn’t see pool pictures. I asked for partial refund and was denied.

Do not stay here. If you drive anything larger than a normal SUV you are in for a challenge. Parking is tight and very limited. While room appeared clean there was not much too it despite it supposed to be a king suite. Turns out it had 2 full beds. While that worked for us not what we booked. Bedroom window leaked. Bedroom had NO furniture. So all your stuff is on the floor or lin the living room. Bathroom toilet paper holder was already broke. Breaker panel taped shut. Diverter in the shower didn't seal so you didn't have full water pressure. NO service. Most other places at least take your trash and change your towels every other day. This place only did on our last day because we saw the cleaner next door. Location is not bad but the facility is basic. Needed towels after 1st day. Went to the desk with our used ones. They could only give us 2. Then instruct me to take the used ones to the laundry across the small parking garage. Don't believe thr Hotels reviews on 10 out of 10. No way they are legit given out experience. We did not check out the pool. The phone in the room had no cord at all so it was useless if you needed it.

Property would not supple extra pillows and blankets, room was dirty and so was the entire property, no working tv in the main room so we had to switch rooms. Blinds in the bedroom were broken and no curtains and allowed way people passing in the hallway to lookin our room. Paper thin walls and could hear every footstep/doors closing in the outside hallway. We had to get new key cards each day we were there because they stopped working. Would never stay there again or recommend to others. PAY THE EXTRA FOR SOMEWHERE NICER!!

Location The hallways wasn't very clean, the sheets had urine stains. People from upstairs kept throwing their trash over the balcony which the wind would blow it onto ours.

View, location were great First, our minifridge didn't work and we lost a lot of food. Second, the fold out couch was unbelievably uncomfortable, essentially a spring pad more than a mattress. Third, the street noise was clearly audible in the front room, to the point that sleep was challenging.

My family and I stayed for a night and it smelled like weed in the hallway leading to the elevator. The room was okay but only 1 remote work on 1 t.v. the other one did not work at all in the bedroom. They only give 2 washcloths (with double beds) I did understand that. But I mean it was OK for the night while I completed the Virginia Beach 10 miler.

The location was perfect. The indoor pool was closed?. We had a small refrigerator with no stove. The tv in the bedroom didn’t work. There was a gun found on the hotel grounds (which wasn’t the hotel fault). The bathroom door was off the hinge ( which they fixed while we were there). There was a horrible fight in the room next to ours. We couldn’t lock the balcony door to our room.

The room's size and beachfront location were its only redeeming qualities; unfortunately, the stay was far from enjoyable. Several issues detracted from the experience. My roommate had to endure a cold shower due to faulty knobs. When I contacted the office, their response was unhelpful, indicating that maintenance would not be available until 8 AM the following morning. Furthermore, the bed was exceptionally uncomfortable and noisy, giving the impression it was on the verge of breaking. Given that we were only staying for one night, I eagerly anticipated our departure the next morning.

My party of 3 had a phenomenal weekend at your hotel. The location was absolutely perfect. Walking distance to several restaurants and plenty of shopping for gifts. The view from our suite was amazing. The staff was everything we could ask for... helpful! Recommended "LOG CABIN RESTAURANT " across the street for the breakfast buffet [amazing buffet with extras!!!] Yes!!! Id absolutely stay here again!!! [The pool was not in service... however it was not a downer - as we came to enjoy the beach and sights of the boardwalk.

Yes, it’s on the beach and boardwalk. I was there in off season, but it was kind of dingy. Big “landlord special” vibes. Crooked pictures. Slapped on paint. Dated fixtures. It was very… meh.

Nice view of the ocean Kitchenette had no utensils, pts, pans, plates. Minimal blankets. Blinds on bedroom window torn and broken allowing light in all night. Recently painted. Paint splatters throughout room and hallways.

Based on the other reviews I was a little weary about staying here. The hotel is a little dated but for the price it was good. No problems with dirtiness, the parking situation was fine and although we didn't need anything, the staff seemed great. The location was excellent. I would definitely stay here again.

More cleanliness of the room especially the floors

The reason we booked the hotel was because of the indoor pool, when we checked in they never said anything about the pool being closed, when we went up to swim, they said the pool was closed and asked us if we could see that when we didn’t even get out the door. The whole reason we booked with them was for the indoor pool and the convenience of the beach.

Room was disgusting. We stayed in room 305. There was a hole under the sink which looked like staff tried to fill it and stopped before finishing. The ceiling above the toilet was leaking water for about 2 hours on our last night there. The bathroom door looked like it had dried old boogers on it. There was punch hole on the bedroom door.

The beach view was perfect! The staff was cordial.

1st room we were given bedroom lights did not work. Was switched to another room which was nice but the floors were dirty. The couch was extremely worn down and used. The toilet was dirty as well as the shower. Beach view was nice except for the homeless folks that was bothering us. Understanding that this was an oceanfront and probably a very frequently used room it will definitely not be a future stay for me and my family.

Staff was actively mopping and trying to keep the halls clean, which I’m sure is no small task next to the beach. It looks like the rooms were recently updated. The indoor pool was drained and not available. It’s not the hotel’s fault that there were drunk people arguing in the parking lot. I’m not sure if the dozens of police in the street made me feel more or less safe.

The elevator was broken most of our stay so my handicap mother had to walk up and down eight flights of stairs and we chose that hotel because of the inside pool so my girls would have something to do on the cooler days and it was closed there was no water in it.

Complained about the elevator not working and being put on 11th floor, fire alarm kept beeping all night and elevator never got fixed. Got kicked out because we complained about the elevator and fire alarm more than once.

Half of our group checked out before spending a night there because the rooms were filthy and/or basic items like the shower were not functional (bare pipes sticking out of the wall). The smell of weed permeates everything (simply using the elevator is enough to give you the munchies). While my room was relatively clean-ish, it had obviously been occupied by a group that had been enjoying spring break there, as there was a lot of literature left over about it, and because the room absolutely reeked of vomit. In an effort to air the room out, I opened the door to the balcony (one of the panes in the double-pane sliding door had been shattered and 'cleverly concealed' with black duct tape). While the 'airing out process' did nothing to alleviate the smell, it did attract a large quantity of flies. I did manage to spend three nights there, a fact that I am oddly proud of. Having said that, I was the only one of my group to do so, and I certainly would not recommend it. The main takeaway is that the hotel's owners are completely without conscience. To charge anyone to stay in that place is bordering on the criminal... speaking of which, two of my three nights also featured loud domestic disputes in the rooms around me. To say I wouldn't recommend staying here would be an understatement.

The rooms definitely need to be up graded and the air conditioner did not work! It blew out hot air and there was absolutely no air moving through the bedroom! The couch was nasty and had to but a sheet down in order to set on it! The inside pool was empty!

Well from the beginning young lady up front she had a great attitude, check in no problems. Room was nice and clean perfect view of the ocean. the bedroom the blinds that you have didn't go all the way down I had to put something in the bottom of the window so no one could look in to the bedroom. But other than that everything is perfect would recommend you guys.

The house keepers were polite when interacting with them. They list an indoor pool but it is closed. Pictures are definitely not what we experienced! We decided not to stay there! The room was dirty, the window(sliding glass door) was so dirty we could not see well out it! It was also broken , so they had it sealed shut! The toilet seat was dirty, the fridge did not work, the hall way had spots that went up and down, you could not see the small downs! It all blended in with no warning, the back door said it was broken to enter up stairs. The toilet paper had been wet, felt like a clam shell! Receptionist said the did not have time to clean much, someone called a n sick! We did not stay there! And beware do not sign anything, they have keep my money! Around $340.00 dollars! You have been warned!!

This is an older hotel with attempt at remodel into a resort. The staff, which I assume to be the owner was standoffish. The parking was tight and we were in a regular sized car. The hallway was dingy with broken tile and flickering lights. The unit we stayed in had a broken security lock- like it had been breached before. The beds were not plush or comfortable, it was a looonnnngggg night. It appears that they bought the hotel, change out countertops and painted with flat paint. There was dust in the corners, the bathtub dripped constant. I checked in at 7 that night and checked out before sunrise the next morning. I am an avid beachgoer and didn't even stay long enough to see it while oceanfront. For 200 dollars a night at this time of year I would have expected better for sure. I would not recommend it. I guess with summer coming guests who pay higher prices will NOT be satisfied with their stay

I parked rooftop and immediately smelled weed. I went through the rooftop entrance door and smelled another strong odor of weed. I turned around and down to the “lobby”. There was a note on the door saying “ I’ll be right back”. Again, I smelled weed. No thank you! I left

We arrived around 11 p.m. there was a sign on th door that they had stepped out, but to call and a number was provided. I can the cell phone number listed on the door several times and the hotel number with no answer. Finally someone returned my call and I let them know we were trying to check in. Each room had a window facing out towards the hallway. The blinds don’t fully cover the window and there are no curtains. We had to cover the window with a blanket we had from home. When we walked into our hotel room the floor around the toilet was covered in water. It would not flush properly either. We have five guest, but only four towels and wash clothes. No hand towels. We also only had pillows for four out of the five of us. The sofa had sheets, but they were dirty. There was no throw blanket or comforter for warmth. The air does not reach back into the bedroom area. You burn up in there at night, but freeze in the living room on the sleeper sofa. We told staff the toilet did not flush properly, sheets needed changed, and another pillow. At first they said they didn’t have anymore sheets or pillows. When I said, “well there are five of us and four pillows and the sheets are dirty!” They were able to give us sheets and ONE more pillow. We called about the toilet trying to get it fixed. They ended up moving us next door which was a room in much better condition. The shower did drip though and soaked the floor the 3rd morning. The pool was empty and elevator broken. ICE 7th floor

The view was the only thing nice about this hotel. ...... If you want to call it that. I have so many complaints 😞. We spoke to another guest she confirmed our complaints. She said it best.......... When calling it a welfare crack motel........ Just short of prostitutes being out in the open. Trash everywhere, broken, bodily fluid stained furniture, missing furniture and appliances ie coffee maker, microwave. Doors that didn't latch or lock. I could go on....

There is no way anyone should ever stay at this location. Travelocity should stop doing business with them. When I arrived, they only had 2 choices of rooms. Room 1 was dirty, trash in the room, dirty gloves on the bed, a zero-star room. I changed rooms at the front desk, and room 2 had a sliding glass door (oceanfront) which could not be closed so flies were in the room, and the smoke alarm was beeping every 30 seconds. No battery, it was hardwired, so no way to stop the beeping. After going to the front desk, I was told there were no more rooms available, despite there only being 3 cars in the parking lot. I was unable to check in, so had to find a different hotel nearby. This is the room that you hope your kids dont stay at for senior week. What a waste. Hopefully Travelocity will give a refund since I wasnt able to stay there, and the hotel clerk told me there was nothing he could do since I booked through Travelocity. What a waste. Only positive was the view. Booked two rooms with my family Arrived and we are informed the elevator was broken and no hot water so after 3+hr drive my parents had to find new place last minute on xmas eve. I didn't wanna hassle with trying to get refund so i toughed it out for a night. Place was dirty and looked as they started painting two years ago and stopped painters tape and over spray everywhere. Definitely will not be a returning customer

We got to the room, tv was on and we found out the remote was missing. Also no shower curtain, took a whole day to get one. The room was old, and needed severe upgrading. The only reason we stayed was because it thankfully was clean. I refused to use the couch as it looked super dirty. Also no ventilation in the bedroom and the vent looked horrible. Last morning we had to skip showers as no hot water. We won't be revisiting.

The room we were moved to still had several issues. The walls were dirty and noticeably scuffed, and the overall space felt like it had not been cleaned well. During our stay, the room was never refreshed or serviced, which made it feel even less comfortable. The balcony door was also a problem. It either would not close completely or was extremely difficult to open, which made it feel unsafe and frustrating. What concerned me most was the condition of the common areas. A bag of trash sat in the hallway for our entire three day stay. It was there when we checked in and it was still sitting there when we checked out. Seeing garbage left out like that for days made the hotel feel neglected and poorly managed. I had hoped for a pleasant oceanfront stay, but the level of cleanliness and maintenance was far below what I expected. I truly hope the property improves these issues for future guests.

Dirty halls elevators. Very rough neglected condition. Pool was closed when it was advertised open. Railings were not secure. The updates that have been done were done very poorly. Room itslef was clean and cheap but the day we left i noticed from the boardwalk that a coupke of balconies had c clamps holding railings on.

Awful was our room was put in the middle of a construction site and was not cleaned . The elevator was broke so only 2 floors were open and it was like staying in a dungeon

Was told that they have an indoor pool when we got there the pool was closed. I paid $200 for a weekend that I should’ve only paid 100 and I’m not happy.

The pool is closed with no signs, balcony did not laugh or latch, toilet was taped together in the back inside so it come loose and we're not flush. Overall the room was nice the hotel Southwest night just a few things that need addressed.

The sheets, towels and floor were clean. Mattress was flimsy and bounced around. I’m usually ok with older places that are clean but could use a remodel. Not this! There was no AC in the bedroom and was very hot! The window in the bedroom was to the hall with a light that stayed on all night! Even with the blinds closed it was WAY too much light for a bedroom!! When in the hall it felt sketchy, almost dangerous. I don’t think it was. The indoor pool was closed despite what it said on the website.

Ocean front with balcony. The room was decently clean however literally everything in the room was hanging crooked, the room needed dusted, the toilet paper holder fell off and the toilet wouldn't flush but my husband fixed that. The room and property new new floors and paint.

I wasn’t quite sure how this place would be due to the mixed reviews that I had read, but my family was pleasantly surprised by how great of a stay we had. The price point for a beachfront hotel on the boardwalk can’t be beat and is its best selling point. Our room was clean and overall was a comfortable stay. The hotel is rather small and parking garage parking was a bit of a tight fit, however, there is public parking nearby and was easy enough to get to if needed. The one drawback would definitely be the hard-to-open door to the balcony. It was able to be opened but you really had to pull that sucker to get it to move anywhere. We were constantly afraid of breaking it. Also, the shower’s hot water was so hot that it was completely unbearable for more than a few seconds and there was no adjusting it. Overall, we LOVED our stay! It was the perfect location, right in the middle of the excitement, right on the beach, and a price point that couldn’t be beat. Our room was on the 6th floor which was the sweet spot I do believe. We definitely plan to return for future family vacations!

We recently stayed at the Sea and Sand Hotel in Virginia Beach, and overall, it was a solid experience – especially for the price. Pros: Amazing oceanfront views from every room, each with a patio or balcony. Fantastic location – right in the heart of VA Beach near shops, restaurants, and the boardwalk. Affordable compared to nearby hotels. Room had two TVs, a good work desk with lighting, strong water pressure, and powerful AC. Free WiFi, fast elevator, and stunning views from the 8th-floor pool and deck. Staff was very friendly – seems like a family-run hotel. Cons: The hotel is older and definitely shows its age. Room was mostly clean, but there were small signs of mold in the bathroom and it could use a deeper cleaning. No tub plug, and the pool was cold, low on water, with a broken ladder step. Bottom line: If you know what to expect – an older but well-located property – it’s a great value. Not as bad as some reviews say. We'd stay again for the view, price, and location.

Very nice

The beach front, short walk to the beach, and the boardwalk were the best. The jets overhead were unpleasantly loud but, can't do anything about that. Staff were very helpful and prompt.

You get what you pay for. Upgrades are definitely needed but the staff was super friendly and accommodating.

The parking spots not the best

Entry door locks broken on two assigned rooms, floors were wet upon entry to room, sliding glass door would not close, locks on sliding door broken, rolling chair arm fell off with bolt into floor, bed was very hard, only one tv remote for two tvs, no channel guide anywhere. AC worked well, manager was gracious when switching our room due to broken locks on doors.

The place was clean as expected. Services were poor, slow, and often forgotten. Like most hotels it is located at the boradwalk, so it provides easy access to the beach and it is close to many shops. overall, it will never be my first choice, but if nothing else is available, it would use it again because I know what I am getting into.

Both Tv was broke, slider door was broken, mold all over, smelled horrible, no ice, no coffee, vending machines where broken and empty, pool was nasty and half full, shower was only scrollding hot not cold water so couldn’t take a shower, parking was a joke, coffee pot in room they offered was still full from last tenants and was moldy and smelled, no remotes for either tv, shades didn’t work, fridge didn’t work and lights in room only half worked. Only good thing was the view and super close to everything but other then that it was all a joke and definitely not worth 200 a night by any means

Beachfront with balcony

This place was an absolute mess of a property. The women at the front desk was poorly spoken. They preach that they will try to fix any issues that come about however my boyfriend and I’s room was dirty, the shower knob broke off, the women at the front checked someone else into our room. My boyfriend and I were both in towels and complete strangers walked into our room claiming that we weren’t supposed to be there. Our balcony didn’t lock, the walls were dirty, I could go on and on. The area around the hotel wasn’t bad it was very clean however the rooms were just god awful.

The check in person she was fantastic the hotel is a little older and some remodeling should be done.

The owners have really got some audacity calling this a hotel much less a resort. This is more like an 11 story motel that nobody should want to stay in! The rooms were dirty and dated. There was rust in the bathtub, two pieces of plyboard that we tripped over trying to come in the second floor entrance, trash everywhere and a bad odor throughout the “hotel”. The second day, my daughter and I went to the pool on the eighth floor only to find out that it was about the size of an oversized bathtub and had not been cleaned since probably before summer. The water was gross and slimy and left a film on our bodies. Not to mention the ladder -the only ladder that can get you out of the pool- was broken, and my daughter fell and almost hit her face on the concrete because of the broken rung on the ladder. Also, the second day we were there the air conditioning stopped working in our room. That was the last straw for us and we asked to check out at 11 AM and be refunded for our second night since we had not stayed the second night yet and since we brought the complaints to management before checkout time. We were told we would be “allowed to check out early”, but no refund for the 2nd night we had not yet stayed. So we were forced to stay a second night. This is a nasty place that nobody should take their family. The pictures look great, but it is not reality. We will never stay here again and truly hope that our review will keep another family from going through what we went through.

Everything in room is outdated and don’t work properly. Very noisy environment, don’t recommend to anyone.

Mgmt was horrible, had a mobility scooter, and to get out of hotel the ramp was mostly blocked by a vvehicle parking in front of it blocking most of it. The pool had no ramp to get to the pool. Parking was park in front of people’s car if you choose, otherwise go find public parking, no cleaning service while you was there. Would not recommend. Last day exit of parking lot blocked by dumpsters.

The rooms are way outdated, the couch looked like my grandma's from the 80s. The bed where like sleeping on a jail cot, no ac or heat in the bedroom. The pool was nasty cloudy looking also. And no where to park or turn around. I WILL NEVER STAY HERE AGAIN.

The experience was disappointing. The pool water was dirty and did not seem well maintained. On top of that, there was a lot of noise at night, making it hard to rest. Another issue was that the electrical outlets in the room did not work, which was very inconvenient. I would not stay here again.

Towels were dirty, the room had no soap, shampoo or conditioner (dispenser were there but empty) room size was good.

Easy beach access

Our family had a amazing time, property wasn't fancy but for affordable beach front room, can't complain much. The outside on beach side had a large amount of trash all over the grass. We were entertained by a fight at 2am on the boardwalk benches, ( like a live drama play). We watched a circus right beside the hotel and great view from top of the parking garage. Pool looked nice but didn't get to use it due to it being so extremely crowded every minute is was open during our stay. We had a amazing time and will most likely return.

This hotel is exactly what we expected from the reviews. It is okay for larger families who want to stay in one suite. The main bedroom had no air conditioning, so we were hot when we slept, but we bought a fan. The condition of the room was okay, the tub had permanent stains, but other than that it was okay. The property and the rooms are in need of a renovation, but it’s also on the people who abuse the rooms. The view was great from the 11th floor, the location was great, we never went to the pool, but it looked cool. This hotel is a good spot to lay your head and call homemade for a family of 6 or less. The price was right too. But there are definitely better hotels up and down the beach, but this did just fine.

It’s good if there’s some food to offer with breakfast or aircon inside the bedroom.

Very dirty, homeless people sitting on the property, the guy working at night was very rude. Other people staying at the hotel were throwing chairs off the pool deck. Pool was green and slimy. Garbage everywhere. The room smells like mold and mildew. The ac quit working in the middle of the night. Balcony door didn’t not close correctly. I tried to email the hotel about my complaints with no reply.

Pillow cases still had make up on them. Parking lot is small not nearing big enough for the amount of people staring at the hotel.

That it would be fixed just for them to leave the front desk and ignore our requests. They didn’t wanna reimburse us or switch our rooms it was either stay or get out. The room was cheap, the bed would move significantly if you shifted in the bed or moved in your sleep with no secure mattress or frame. The pictures they posted online were false advertising the rooms, we were upset to see that the room we booked online was nothing like the room we got, Important things weren’t attached in the hotel room like the front door deadlock was just hanging and the screen door to the balcony which wouldn’t close and was very very hard to move. I would recommend you go never book a room here, they don’t care about your needs.

The owner are really accommodating and nice people. He even waited for us because we arrived very late at night. He was all smile when we came in. Very nice guy! The hotel itself is alright. It is old but well kept. Just like other hotels the parking is ridiculous to me, small spaces! No worries with food because the restaurant are just outside the hotel.

Was provided with any towels or wash cloths for the room and the cleaning of the rooms could of been better.

The beds had sand in them when we got there. The pull out couch had grass and sand in it as well. The floors were dirty. There were ants EVERYWHERE. They changed our rooms but it was still the same. More sand and ants all over the place.

First of all, I don’t even know where to begin. But I will say that at check-in there was nowhere to even park to check in and it was a huge hassle trying to maneuver our car through the crowded parking lot with nowhere to park. The rooms had not been properly cleaned. Everything was dated and gross basically… I would not recommend this but then again it is Virginia Beach. we paid over $600 to stay in two rooms for one night and didn’t even have a place to park. No shower curtain to take a shower two towels for six guest hair and crumbs all over the beds and couches.. just 😩

All is great that is given by God, which is the ocean view, all else is terrible. Properties at such conditions should be banned to occupy such a great view and location. VB must have some standards for the beach line properties. I found a bag of rotten food left inside the microwave. Dust everywhere. Seemed never deep cleaned. Bad odor. Bed frames are the cheapest type you can buy from Amazon. It was wobbly and squeaky all night. In Europe you can stay at a 5 star hotel at this price level. Only positive impression I had was the nice receptionist who was helpful and accepted to cancel the rest of my stay.

The room was nice size. I had made reservation before seeing bad reviews.the room was dirty. There was poo or blood on shower curtain. I did take my own cleaning supplies which helped a little. The microwave didnt work. Contacted front desk hour later got microwave when maintenance just walked in unannounced. Which did worry us.

Was super dirty!! Someone literally had a grocery list on the wall. Toilet paper holder kept falling apart, shower handle kept falling off, blinds were broken, one remote for 2 tvs, would only give 2 towels for a room that sleeps 6, pool was green, trash was laying all around the property, and it was a little sketchy outside. They don't change the sheets after each stay. The cleaning cart they use is basically empty. Spend a little extra and don't stay here!!

Next thd lights in the elevator were broken the entire time, so you were on the elevator in the dark with strangers. The tubs did not have a stopper to take a bath and no grab bars. The mattresses were very uncomfortable. The linen that were there were not very clean. Had to ask for an iron. Ironing board , clean linen. The balcony door was very hard to open. The bedroom didn't have a dresser or anywhere for your luggage. No chairs besides the office chair The view is beautiful but with a family members ond pregnant and the other had knee issues, the family vacation was a safety hazard at this "resort". Oh and the parking is like tetrus.

Food options are endless on the strip, but my back did not agree with the bed.

The room smelled like pee, the sofa bed was broken, water was constantly leaking on our balcony from the balcony on top of us and the elevator worked for maybe 12 hours out of 6 days. My friend stepped in a manhole because it was not closed well.

I stayed at Sun and Sand Resort (Virginia Beach) from July 27 to August 3, and it was the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. We checked into an ocean-view room on the 6th floor, and it was disgusting. The room smelled like weed and smoke, dirty floors, stained linens, and there were cigarette butts in the nightstand. Management didn’t address our concerns for 3 days, and only moved us to another room on day 4—which was barely any better. The second room had leaky faucets, a balcony door that was impossible to open, and no towels. The elevator didn’t work for days, and the TV remotes didn’t function. The pull-out sofa was filthy, and we had to cover it with a blanket just to sit on it. The Wi-Fi never worked, and keycards had to be reprogrammed three times. The place is completely neglected—one cleaning lady for 11 floors, trash everywhere, and the room was unsanitary. I had to leave a day early because it ruined our vacation. This place is a health hazard, and I’d never stay here again. The pictures on Expedia are misleading, and I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone. Avoid this place!

This was by far the worst place I have ever stayed in. The parking is so limited and no where enough for all of the guests. There is numerous damages all over the property, some severely dangerous. The elevator was broken when we arrived, then started working out of no where only for all of the lights to shut off and your forced to ride in the elevator pitch black. The stair access to your floor/room, the doors stick so bad you have to slam your shoulder to get them to open. Our balcony door wouldn’t lock and we have three children. Tub and sink faucets drip. One light out in living room and outlets did not work in bedroom. At one point we lost power and when it came back on the bedroom tv came on randomly. The overall property is very dirty and smells awful. Non of the vending machine have anything in them. The pool was very dirty and definitely not up kept. The only positive I can say is the staff is very friendly. Do yourself a favor and stay far away from this place.

Don’t be deceived by the photos. The place was much more rundown and dirty. I had to mop the floor myself with a towel because of how dirty my son was from crawling. No AC unit in the bedroom, only in the living room. Elevator was broken. Stairwells smelled of urine. Homeless camped right outside of the hotel. Only good thing about it was the location.

This property and you guys were a joke. After refusing to give me my money back do to no fault of mine i find it disgraceful that you would say in order for me to get a refund that I had to pay you an additional 240... To get back 500... I explained and the employee of the hotel told Expedia to give me my money back and you Expedia refused... This forced me to take the room or sleep in the car... for the home was four hours away.The conditions were so bad I would not have my dog stay. We were unable to even enjoy ourselves because the elevator didn't work after putting us on the 9th floor...so ever time we went out we would have to clime 18 flights of stairs... The room has water flowing in paint going down the wall, the halls were smelly, there were dirty towels left in the tub, room wasn't clean, no ironing board, no curtains on bedroom window, no towels, no soap, dirty furniture. It was so bad we had to go buy sheets to cover the furniture....and sheets to put on the bed...

Broken furniture, leaking ceiling, chairs missing boards screws sticking up as you can see in all these pics, elevator quit working. The best part about it was the view from the balcony.

The only issue was that the fire alarm in our room went off at 3 in the morning because the battery supposedly is broken, but overall it was as good.

It was alright beds in the back away from the ocean.

Lastly it the hplace and the area below smelled of pot there was drug activity outside of our place and you could clearly visualize deals going on Also the commode stopped up and it took 4 hours after reporting it to get someone to come and take care of the problem Unbelievable considering the location The jets were going over and had constant noise until 10pm sometimes I won’t ever consider going back there

The paint was pealing off the walls inside, one TV didn't work, the sofa was too grimy to sit on, the pool was tiny. I would have left if I could have found another place to stay but everything was booked.

The pool was not clean. The ladder seemed like a death trap with only 2 steps going into 5 foot. The halls smelled terrible and the elevator broke down moments before check out so we had to take our bags 7 stories down

Air didn’t work

The staff was nice. The room was very dirty, it smelled, as soon as we walked in. We had to re clean and sanitizer. there was no air conditioning in the rooms, the pull out bed sheet had not been cleaned. The air conditioning vents were nasty and had not been cleaned. There was a small ant problem where our food was

We had a great stay. The view was amazing. The staff was very nice. You can't beat it for the price.

This place is horrible

The property needs upgraded. Pull out couch nasty dirty and broke, kitchen sink leaks all day and night, broken chairs, bathroom sink stopped up ,1 remote to work tv in living room and bedroom. Just not a good clean up to date place to stay

The hotel is in bad condition. Suite 106 everything was dirty and falling out. I pay for 2 stay 1.7k for what we get that price is really high. I feel cheated!!

This not a 5 star hotel. Its an older building that is in need of some love. But! The location is awsome, the view was awsome, the indoor pool was dirty, ( was 4th of july weekend, it was very heavily used to wash off after the beach.) But we enjoyed our stay. Not 5 star. But the check in was easy, staff was great, parking was great. The view from the run down balcony was awsome. This not 5 star, but if u there for the beach and not so much the room, it was an awsome stay.keep in mind, 4th of july weekend is busiest of the season. Ill say again, not 5 star, but we definitely had a great time. The staff was awesome.

So dirty and beyond in need of renovations. Unsure how these rooms and hallways are up to safety codes with wires hanging around everywhere, pipes sticking out from the wall, patches of wall being gone, door handles missing, bugs and marijuana all over the ground, AC not working, etc.

Great location. We had a blast. Older building. Room needed some work. Overall property needed some work. Pool was dirty. But! We had fun. Everything u needed was in walking distance. Trolley ride to and from the aquarium was nice.

The lady when you check in at daytime her name is lena, she is amazing! she had the best attitude and energy she helped out right on out and was so polite!! now on the other hand there’s a guy i didn’t get his name but he works night shift for clock in and he wasn’t so friendly, made me feel stupid for wanting a parking space i had paid for already, and was pushy. the hotel overall is okay, we booked last minute and had a pretty okay stay. there was some dirt on the bed sheets, paint coming off the walls and i didn’t want to walk around barefoot in the hotel room. the tvs are only cable and the living room tv didn’t even have a remote. the door to open the room was very very hard to open and close, and the room was not quite at all, other than road noise which was expected, the ceiling kept almost sounding like it was going to break and fall on us and kept waking me up more than the cars outside. there’s only one elevator for 11 floors so if you’re in a rush, don’t be. parking can be limited and is very tight so if you have a truck or a big vehicle i wouldn’t recommend unless you find parking inside.
