Hyatt Place Washington DC/White House

Other than that, they made beds and put towels out every day and cleaned up which was unexpected I highly recommend.

While the location and service may have been acceptable, the condition of the room negatively affected the experience. The hotel is clearly overdue for a renovation, and updating the carpets, furniture, and guest rooms would greatly improve the quality of the stay.

Very convenient location and close to the metro. The place was clean and the staff were very friendly. The room was comfortable as well. My toilet was making an “running” noise constantly that was quite loud. I had wiggle the handle to make it stop after flushing.

Excellent location to visit downtown DC. I use a mobility scooter and accommodations worked well. Two blocks away from White House, between two metro stops which are a 5-minute walk, 10-minute walk to Ford's Theater which is next to a tour bus company. Friendly, helpful staff. Room was very quiet, heard no outside noise. CVS located across the street. CONS- breakfast space is crowded and over by 9am (very challenging for west coast visitors and not ADA friendly), parking was $67 per night, location is next to a gentleman's club (but we never saw anything inappropriate).

The staff was incredibly helpful and friendly…..everyone. The hotel needs updating. But the employees made it wonderful, especially the lovely ladies at the front desk.

Beware of sliding door for bathrooms with no insulation/privacy.

Disappointing

Rooms need some sprucing up, carpet especially and the pillow, no support way too soft. Breakfast was good and like they offer Nespressso coffee options. Shower head need improving as it felt like shards of glass on your back. We were in town for a graduation, so we had to to. Our clothes. The ironing board we had didn’t extend up all the way so you we bent over to do so.

The place was clean. Staffing was very friendly and helpful. The roof top bar was amazing you can watch the sunsets and enjoy the beautiful view of downtown Washington, DC. The White House is within walking distance if you want to take pictures from the outside. Overall Excellent place to stay and enjoy downtown, Washington, DC.

Quick staycation to celebrate our anniversary. The rooftop bar is phenomenal and Tanya, the bartender, gave us a free glass of champagne to celebrate. The view is gorgeous and it really made our night! Thank you, Hyatt!

Room was clean and comfortable, bath had been updated and they offer a mat for the shower as well as a grab bar. Staff was terrific, especially Mustafa in lobby and Camille in bar/food area. They were so helpful and kind, even offered games to keep kids entertained while adults charred. Highly recommend!

Really great, thoughtful and friendly staff! Room was pristinely clean and made up each day (not every hotel, even major chains, do this anymore!) A very pleasant place to stay, within easy walking distance to a subway station and across the street from a pharmacy to grab those last minute things you forgot. We’d definitely stay again!

Paid breakfast was good. The shower flow was super fast with no way to reduce the speed. Overall decent.

Big king sized bed with couch and a hot breakfast for 11 dollars. Thermostat with large display. Very dark at night and pretty quiet.

The staff at the hotel were courteous. We stayed for one night and they offered us free valet parking as well as breakfast if we update to King bed instead of 2 queens. We did not mind since the room also had a pull out bed. The breakfast was excellent. The rooms were spacious but the heat did not work. We turned off the system at night since the temperature outside was not terribly cold. There was a bit of a musky odor in the hallway outside the room.

Flights were canceled due to a recent east coast blizzard and I arrived a day late. I called the property to let them know I would be arriving a day later and still needed the room and would pay for the unused night. I am a wheelchair user and reserved a fully accessible room. Upon arrival a day late they had given the accessible room to someone else. The manager on duty was fairly rude about the situation as well. I would not recommend this property at all as it caused me much distress and discomfort during my stay.

Make sure you do not get a room in the alley. Apparently garbage trucks back down them at 5am with real loud audible alarms. Needless to say was up at 5am. Was super loud.

In terms of the area itself it was a bit old. The breakfast area is small and interferes with traffic of other customers who are coming in and out. Luckily, there were many places outside that had breakfast, lunch and dinner. The room had scratches and slight rust in the bathroom. I do want to emphasize that everything was clean and organized. The bathroom needed some updates. The elevator made us very nervous as it was also very old. We stayed in the 8th floor and were contemplating taking the stairs due to all the creaking from the elevator. After a while, we got used to it.

I was checked in by Mike. He was very welcoming, gave me suggestions for places to visit and eat at while in town. The room was great as well. I had a nice view of the city. The hotel is minutes away from the Washington monument, Lincoln Memorial and museums. I did not have to travel far for anything, which I loved. Definitely will be staying here again on my next visit!

The room was clean and the staff were friendly. They had a bar but I didn’t visit it as I was there on business lol. It’s worth the money!

The location is really good-7 mins walk to White House and the metro is also within 5 mins walk. However, the facility is a bit old. The hair dryer was really old and I asked for change for two times. The fan in the washroom didn’t seem to work. We can hear the noise from the upper rooms.

The AC didn’t work in our room, there was hair that didn’t belong to us when we checked into the room, the carpet looked like it had blood smeared throughout the room, the couch had stains on it and so did the bathroom floor. Also keep in mind we only booked the room for one night!

Tow of our lights in the room did not turn on. And one of my chief complaint is the sinks faucet was < 1 inch from the basin. We constantly were rubbing the sink...while washing iur hands. And water would accumulate on the sink. Would we stay there again? Yes. I wiuld seek similar first who included a complimentary breakfast.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. We liked having the seating area. We liked that we could easily walk to the Metro. There was no table or electrical plug on the side of the bed by the windows. That made setting things down as you went to sleep difficult. Overall we really enjoyed our stay.

We had a fantastic stay at Hyatt Place Washington DC/White House. The location is unbeatable—just steps from the White House and close to restaurants, cafes, and museums. The staff were warm, welcoming, and always helpful with directions and recommendations. Our room was spacious, enough for 5 people, clean, and well-designed with a comfortable bed and a great workspace. Breakfast had plenty of fresh options, and the rooftop bar offered an amazing view of the city. I’ll definitely choose this hotel again next time I’m in DC.

Shower head had a major issue and not working properly (possibly clogging). A/C unit is extremely loud. Walls are barely sound proof.

Very clean and great location. Staff was very professional and pleasant. Only suggestion for improvement is to have at least two valet attendants. They only had one and it took about 40 mins for him to bring our car since there were 3 groups in front of us. He was super nice and efficient but when there is only one they can only do so much.

Clean, quiet and comfortable room. Included mini refrigerator in-room and the sofa bed was actually comfortable. Housekeeping and front office staff were professional and helpful. We would return to this hotel if/when we’re in the area.

When we book the room we ask for early check in. We had an autism baby with us that needs urgent medication . We didn't check in till past 3pm. When we check in the room our luggage wasn't delivered to the room. I call the front desk and she told me to come down and pick it up. These is too much. I really had a bad experience. In this hotel. I will never ever comeback again. I will never recommend this hotel to a friends and families .

We stopped in quick before flying home. It was a good location and the staff was helpful but seemed a little short staffed. Parking cost a fortune but we got in really late with a toddler and didn’t want to deal with it so we paid. Overall it was a really nice place and we would stay here again.

Extremely friendly front desk staff. Every member always greeted us and was willing to assist, no matter what the request was. This location is also very convenient and easy to find. We felt safe and secure as well. Check in and check out process was convenience and we were able to walk to the metro easily.

It was an easy walk to the White House which was our destination. The room was spacious and well maintained. The breakfast buffet had a large variety however food was not hot at all. The staff were by far the crowing jewel. From the gentleman who checked us in to valley parking attendant to the lady who checked us out they all went above and beyond!!

Good stay and location. The staff was great. The staff was protesting outside one of the mornings which raised some concerns. There were some things in our room that needed attention. Bathroom door didn’t close properly and a lamp was hanging and the refrigerator door didn’t stay closed. But the room was comfortable and clean.

That combined with the cost of the room was way too much for a 5 day stay.

The Valet helped us with parking the over sized vehicle and trailerit was towing which, was street parking just up the road and because it was on a weekend, no need to feed the meter. Very pleasant stay. There are electric bikes and scooters to rent very close by which provided a self guided tour of the Capitol District. Great pizza places along our journey to the monuments. Will definitely stay again.
