Nothing. It’s worst. It was the worst experience. The reception team did allow to check in first. Then the phone was not in the room. Couldn’t order dine in food. In the morning all lights just went off. Nothing was working. Worst to worst experience one could have.

The hotel overall was great, but the people serving in the hotel open bar area were bigots. Would not serve us on consecutive days.

Had great time for my bday and everyone was nice and very friendly

Very large hotel, great walking distance from monuments and many things to do. I liked the free hop on and off service
- 3/5
Hotel was quiet and clean. Really good lobby bar. Good restaurants on premises. Walking distance to restaurants and some attractions. Too far to walk to national mall. Gift shop $$$ $16 for deodorant. Parking was expensive too

I generally prefer to choose Marriott hotels for my travels. And, as a rule, their hotels tend to be of high quality. However, I didn't get that same vibe at this particular hotel. Typically, the staff at the front desk are friendly and welcoming, but that wasn't really the case here. At the end of our two-night stay, my spouse and I decided to have a drink in the lobby. My spouse asked for tea, and I asked for coffee. The waiter—whose name I didn't catch—wasn't even sure if coffee was available, and when he brought the tea, it was served in a paper cup. Both the tea bag and the paper cup were items that were already provided in our room. In my opinion, when you order a drink in the lobby of a hotel of this caliber, it certainly shouldn't be served in a paper cup.

The lobby was beautiful. The room was clean and a good size. If you like to squeeze in a workout, the gym was beautiful. Great Location, within a 30 minute walk from everything.

we stayed one, it was perfect. clean room and excellent service, polite staff. the concierge service is where it's at! tickets for the trolley tour which we enjoyed.
- 3/5
Room was nice, hotel itself was nice, just a lot of extra charges. Really expensive to park so we parked elsewhere which is inconvenient considering we had to carry all our stuff to the parking garage but it was a difference of $55/night so, worth it. They gave us room service credit since we had to pay the "event fees" but then everything on the menu was more than the credit we had and they charge a $5 delivery fee to get room service. Just a lot of nickel and diming for a "not-inexpensive" hotel.
- 2/5
It was very nice Paid a lot of money and they wanted us to pay extra for WiFi, even though they said it was included in our booking which wasn’t the case!

Comfortable, nice light in bathroom for make up, nice view The coffee maker in the room was dirty and it was missing an essential piece to make coffee. I also wish there were extra blankets in the room. There were no king beds available even though my reservation included one.

Rooms were very clean. No hotel smell. Breakfast was good and very fast in lobby. Club lounge also had a good breakfast. Every person on staff was polite and helpful. There was never any line waiting for the elevator which is rare given how big the hotel was. Also, we received 2 free tickets per room for the Hop-On Hop-Off Trolley ($54/pp) as well as a food credit and Uber credit. Great hotel with easy walk to National Mall.
- 5/5
Great place for stay. Staff is vey nice.

Overall, my experience has been good.

It was very convenient. Nothing really, I just think $600/night for a room is ridiculous.

- 5/5
Very spacious and elegant hotel with great communal gathering spaces for very large groups
- 1/5
We didn’t get to enjoy the conveniences that were promised like the walkway to the convention center. Starbucks closed early. There was a toenail on the floor. Valet wouldn’t hold our luggage at checkout while my daughter was competing so I had to sit with our group’s bags rather than watch the awards ceremony. Very disappointing.
- 5/5
Great accommodations and service.
- 4/5
Very clean. Little small. Secure event caused chaos for us to come in and out of the hotel and not be able to leave our cars
- 1/5
The room was old and the floor was gross. They did not have enough food/beverage places open and were not prepared for a major cheer convention in town. The amount of trouble I had to go through just to get coffee was ridiculous. I booked a King room with a pull out couch. No pull out couch in the room and no roll away beds when I asked. The hotel garage was somehow full and I had to park 5 blocks away and pay 2x as much as anticipated. Stay far away from this place. For the amount of money we paid for this place it was the worse stay I have ever had at a Marriott.
- 5/5
Huge hotel with conference center. Room was clean and well-appointed, club lounge was great, staff were courteous and helpful!
- 4/5
The room was very nice and clean
- 5/5
Hotel is connected to the convention centre. Within walking distance (5-10minutes) from the metro and supermarket. Food options available around the area. Clean and nice hotel.
- 5/5
Front desk was very welcoming.

Great staff and facilities
- 5/5
Everything was great.
- 1/5
The person who checked us in didn’t even look at us! An attitude as if she was doing us a favor. The hotel is quite worn and neglected. The bellboy, overwhelmed with work, made us wait almost 20 minutes for our luggage to be brought up. This hotel really should be at the lower end of the Marriott chain. They should put someone in charge of training the staff, so they understand that they work for us, because it is those of us who arrive at the hotel who pay their salaries.

Room registration confusion. Some areas with trash and rooms run down. Food good but expensive.

The hotel was very clean. The staff were friendly. The shower door in our bathroom didn’t close and we were not able to get stations on the tv. I was pleased with the room.
- 5/5
Staff was great. Not just mailing it in. Clean... accomadating.... all pro.
- 3/5
1. The shower curtains were full of mold and smelled. 2. There was hair still in the sink. 3. I turned off the alarm clock multiple times but the alarm kept going off for me and my neighbor at odd times. I ended up unplugging the clock. 4. They put me in a room next to the elevator which was extremely loud. After a few days, I had to put in white noise to eliminate as much as I could but it was still loud. In addition, there was either construction or something happening underneath or somewhere around me that banging was taking place for hours in the middle of the night. I could not sleep for 3 of my 5 night stay due to the loud banging. 5. I ate at the hotel restaurant right next to the bar and ordered a Caesar Salad and Salmon as my side. Within that salad were little sardines that smelled and tasted very rotted and old. I ended up getting very sick for a couple of days and spent a bunch of time on the toilet. Overall I was impressed by the event and how amazingly put together it was - the space Marriott has for these events are immaculate but the hotel itself is not one I would recommend especially for the price we paid as a firm.
- 5/5
Valet only parking is ridiculous and expensive. It was bad trying to get in and out.

The lobby looks gorgeous. The resort fee credits are value for money. Booked 2 rooms. Room #1 had a used hamburger in the fridge and was not cleaned properly. Room #2 safe was not working, sheets had coffee stains on it. Overall condition of the rooms were poor. Not well maintained. I did notify the front desk staff regarding these issues. We were told that we would be compensated for it but we weren't. Even after following up out the staff 2 weeks later. We were ghosted.

I highly recommend this place

A beautiful and convenient stay for wandering the city. Short walks to the meteo / public transport. Very clean well kept surrounding area.

Food was surprisingly good at the Anthem. Some good omelettes, pancakes, & vegan fare can be found there. The beds, though they did shift a bit, are quite comfortable. Internet functions were a bit confusing at first, but once know, are quite fast. And, transport access is quite good as we were at the convention center for my trip. Everyone there was quite nice to us & even had a slight but of leeway for the festivities. I'm personally hoping to stay there again for next year's convention!
- 5/5
Easy access from the highway
- 3/5
Didn’t like resorted. Said we would get credit for drinks, etc and received none.
- 5/5
Greating receptionest darker skin beautiful kind lady, n the bellboy Maury(?), very forthcoming!!!
- 5/5
Awesome restaurant, location, staff, services
- 2/5
Hotel charged me twice for valet fee, attendant at desk had to be asked multiple times to look into it, they some how managed to mark me down for two cars and two rooms, didn’t get a single apology once but rather a very accusatory attitude.
- 5/5
Great location. Love the lobby restaurant - grab a seat for quick service and a delicious meal. Room was clean and beds were oh so comfortable. Very nice amenities.
- 4/5
Due to the size of this hotel if you aren’t there for a convention I would definitely stay somewhere else. It’s a great location and friendly staff but challenged because it’s just a big hotel. Rooms are comfortable and space is nice.
- 5/5
Will stay there again on my next trip to DC.
- 4/5
There's multiple areas to sit, fellowship, work, read etc. in the spacious lobby and on each floor including Atrium overlook nooks. Three restaraunts, including the Lobby Lounge and STK are onsite and a Starbucks. We ate at the Lobby Restaraunt and The Dignitary which has a large whiskey selection anc cozey lounge seating. All the food was fine and prices DC reasonable. Room was an executive suite with pull out couch, small kithenette bar with sink and mini fridge but NO MICROWAVE! But there is one hidden away in the lobby. Main issue we had was limited service with the Valet which I u/s is an IC but provided by the Hotel so naturally associated with that brand. And at $82.50 a nite, top notch service is expected. However, standout desk performance to address the concern was provided by Shaunte (sp?) S. Overall, it was a good stay and experience and I can recommend with the caveat, consdier parking in a nearby garage and saving money for meals, excursions, etc.
- 5/5
Every person I came in contact with was so friendly and professional. Great stay!
- 5/5
Good stay after the manager moved us out of our room at 3am. Waiting for the comp we were promised. Thank you
- 5/5
Good stay! I was able to get early check in as requested and was able to change from two doubles to a king bed. Room and hotel was clean. Shower was nice!
- 5/5
I like it so much. Worth the money.
- 5/5
Highly recommend 👌
- 4/5
Be aware that they charge a $35 per day "destination fee" which you only learn about when you check in. They do soften the blow somewhat by crediting up to $20 per day for application to food or drink orders, but that just forces you to spend more money, because $20 only buys one cocktail, and eating breakfast at their restaurant rather than the adjacent Starbucks costs much more than $20. My main complaint is that you don't learn about this until you check in, so it's not feasible to change the reservation to somewhere else, where they probably have "destination fees" also, at least in center DC.
- 5/5
VERY NICE & COMFORTABLE BED
- 5/5
Great ambience, clean lobby, however, the rooms could use some attention. The king size bed looks more like a queen size bed, the mursty smell that greets you when you walk in. Nice bathroom I must say. The hotel is all about the gteat lobby and great staff. The rooms, not so great.
- 5/5
Very good place to be at, feels home
- 3/5
The rooms were dated, carpet very worn, beds not comfortable.
- 5/5
Lobby bar great

Beautiful hotel in the heart of the action. I would definitely stay here again.
- 5/5
Friendly staff, great dining option, central location, clean and quiet.

Be careful in your check out and your check out bill
- 5/5
Such a lovely hotel, we really enjoyed our stay at this hotel.
- 5/5
Overall, perfect hotel for the event we were attending at the convention center. Walkable which I recommend because, well….it’s DC. Traffic is horrendous and parking is non-existent. Valet was very overpriced, but again, beats having to find parking. Clean, spacious, awesome bar in the lobby and restaurants/Starbucks in hotel. Did order room service which is “to-go” style, pricey but good portions and quick. We walked to dinner at Yardbird and also had lunch at burger place next to convention center, both amazing! Rooms were basic, but had everything one would need amenity wise. They placed us in rooms across from one another which was nice, and brought our luggage to room, as well as held luggage for us all day Saturday so we could leave as soon as Hyrox was over. Easy 8/10, as it being in a great location for us was key.
- 5/5
All employees were so helpful . I ask directions to rest room & employee ask if I needed him to walk me to rest room . Long line for breakfast & all I needed was cup of coffee . Hostess gave me a cup just overall great experience .

Nice view

This year was a bit of a rough start. I have a pickup truck I valet it in their garage every year & every year the valets sort of panic when they see it until I tell them its 6'10 (garage accommodates up to 7') They pull out their measuring stick which is fine & wait for them to do what they need to. This year was not a pleasant experience on that front. I pulled up to check in and one of the valets, a smaller woman with dreadlocks started yelling at me in front of everyone that 'that wont fit' and 'you cant park that here'. I was a bit mortified in front of a full inlet of people staring at me to be treated as unprofessional as that as soon as I pulled up. I told her I park here every year and she cut me off and said 'im going to measurer that but it wont fit'! The usual happened and even though she measured my roof in 4 places, it fit... to no surprise. No apology. The other valet was nice and calmly assured me it was not problem (which i already knew). I went in to check in and she once again came over with the stick to harass my husband who pointed out it was bent 2 inches too short... At check in, I let them know that wasn't the best experience to pull up to at check in. I got a call back from the manager, he was very kind and said he would take care of things and even upgraded our room. The rest of my stay and the staff were fantastic.
- 1/5
Bait and switch. There was an additional fee added to the room charge I had already paid for. Once I got to the hotel they forced me to pay an extra fee of $30 per day to use for amenities at the hotel. In other words, you have to buy the crazy priced food and amenities at the hotel to use the $30 per day. Furthermore, I stayed multiple days and nobody ever cleaned my room.
- 3/5
Pillows were uncomfortable!!! There was a pre-existing stain on the side of the bed upon arrival. The beds were horribly made up (the sheets seemed to have just been thrown on the bed and left). Check-in/check-out was easy and the hotel itself is a beautiful site!
- 3/5
We had issues with the HVAC but could not be relocated until the next morning. The bathroom in our first room was much nicer than the room we were relocated to. Concierge was unavailable so it was a challenge to utilize the benefits associated with the added destination fee.
- 5/5
My friends and I came down for a convention and it was perfectly located next to the center. The staff was great, the facility was clean inside, and well maintained outside. The valet parking was conveniet since we drove down.

Stayed at this hotel while attending a conference and I am very glad we did. It was not only convenient to attend the conference but is perfectly located for walking to the major monuments and memorials.
- 5/5
Convenience and on-site restaurant
- 5/5
Great location and friendly staff. Always a pleasure to stay here.
- 3/5
The hotel was okay at best. The clientele there was clearly upscale and the hotel catered to that crowd, which is fine. the only issue was that if you needed simple things like a bathmat to not fall in the shower or a microwave in the room then you were out of luck. My wife and I are both on special diets so we brought or own food and ended up eating it cold. They charged you for everything from parking to wifi. Like I said, great hotel if you don't care about the basics. It's probably a great hotel for some but not for me.

Great hotel close to conferences and prompt service-
- 5/5
Valet Parking is too much and I don’t understand why there’s a resort fee. Other than that the stay was AMAZING!
- 5/5
Only complaint is they force you to valet and it was crazy expensive. $70 for 1 night. Took 40 minutes for the valet to retrieve my car upon checkout.
- 2/5
Parking is costly
- 5/5
Be careful with the destination fees and food credits, it is very tricky
- 3/5
same thing happened with my kids room, next day. so no cleaning and every time excuse was, we may have left the privacy room sign. first day even phone was not working, TV remore not working and on top when ordered food then half of the order was wrong. Not good experience .
- 5/5
Excellent staff
- 1/5
We had a truly terrible experience. The reception staff was patronizing and condescending. Our concerns and requests were received with lectures on how we should and shouldn't voice them. And, egregiously, our electric car was not charged over night as it was supposed to, which left us stranded and without a vehicle the following day. The hotel has a great potential, but it will require a close look at the reception personnel and serious training on customer relations.
- 2/5
This is my second time staying at this hotel, and I was so impressed the first time I decided to rebook for my husband and I’s mini “baby moon”. However, this time we were incredibly disappointed. The hotel itself was fine (with the exception of some dirty areas in our room), however, the front desk staff and valet staff were horrible. I was told 3 different things by the valet staff and none of the information was consistent. I was charged a random $100 fee and have yet to get my money back (this $100 is in addition the valet fee of $700 and $30 destination fee) - I paid in full when booking the hotel so my balance should have been $0 except for the 2 fees mentioned. When I called to confirm my booking the day before, the lady on the phone said “yeah, we have rooms” but refused to confirm my specific reservation which I thought was strange. Overall, we’re very unimpressed, especially for the price.

Cleaning lady came to clean and we asked for a few more minuets as we would be leaving for entire day. We left and I saw the cleaning crew in the hallway and told them we were leaving and it was ok to clean the room. I told her the room number and she read it back to me. We returned 10 hours later to an unclean room! When I called the people who answered acted like it was my fault our room didn’t get cleaned! They assured us someone would come. After an hour I went to the front desk in person and again I was grilled about why my room wasn’t cleaned because we had sign on door! I explained again that I spoke to the cleaning crew when we left that we wanted the room cleaned! After several minutes I was told someone would come and finally we got service. When the cleaning lady came she asked what was it that we wanted! How about towels, empty trash cans and freshen up the room! Wow! At a hotel like this and for the kind of money you are spending I am shocked and dismayed!

Went to DC the night before the Steelers-Commanders game. Everyone at the hotel was super friendly and they had nice places to hang out and meet new people. We really enjoyed ourselves.
