If you’re looking for good proximity to a lot of the key points of interests such as the Smithsonians than this a a good hotel. However the property restaurant was overpriced. I got a salad and soup for lunch and wanted the leftovers—they boxed it for me knowing there were no microwaves or fridge for me to reheat the soup. Whenever I asked the desk for help with any attractions they referred me to the two brochures they had at the desk. In addition I was placed in room next to the elevator—due to my length of stay I didn’t feel the need to ask for a room change however logistically rooms by the elevators are never well received.

Love this hotel. Great location and amenities.
- 5/5
Lovely rooms and staff. Clean. Would absolutely stay here again.
- 5/5
Ambiance.
- 2/5
Charged 50 dollars for parking even though we stayed with the hotel . Horrible
- 5/5
A lovely hotel, the decor is beautiful and everything was well maintained and clean. The staff was always very welcoming and helpful when we needed to store our bags during check-in/check-out. We had a great stay, and the location can't be beat for its proximity to the Conference Center and Metro lines!
- 4/5
Very friendly. I have stayed there on and off since the 1980 s
- 4/5
I was in town just for the night, The hotel is cute, has a nice vinatage, boutique vibe. Lounge room is nicely decorated. One note was my room did not have a fridge, so if that matters may have to ask about it. Staff excetionally helpful, shoutout to Theo. When my uber cancelled everyone at the front desk cared and called me a cab. the staff makes this place feel inviting, i hope this hotel takes care of them and treats them well. I will def stay here again.
- 5/5
A beautiful hotel close to public transportation (metro, buses), restaurants and things to do! They upgraded our room for free without us asking. Very clean and comfortable room. Staff was nice as well!
- 5/5
Room was a little small but perfect for solo travel. Valet was a breeze. I Arrived before check in time but got a phone call as soon as my room was ready, my luggage was stored in a locked room in the meantime. Location was a 5 min walk from the convention center. Food at the bar was great. Overall a great stay. If I find myself in the DC area again this is the first hotel I’m looking into. Thank you

- 4/5
The staff was really terrific and accommodating Outside noise wasnt bad but it was noticable. Also we seemed to be a long way from every place I had to go
- 5/5
Just the hours of the bar. Not too much of a problem. Other bars within a block or two.
- 5/5
Had a wonderful weekend here, would stay again!
- 5/5
Muy buena ubicación, personal muy amable. Lugar muy agradable.
- 5/5
Big rooms. Quiet.
- 5/5
But parking is expensive, try to park around the lots if you can. The room was clean and old style.
- 5/5
Really charming hotel and great location.
- 5/5
Very comfortable stay
- 5/5
Every aspect of this hotel exceeds expectations, making it a truly outstanding destination.
- 3/5
The staff was kind and helpful , there was no street parking in the area. Valet had maintenance going on in the garage because the gate was broken, we were not notified before arrival. We were told to park illegally beside the hotel. We had an event to attend and had to leave shortly anyways but risked being towed because we could not miss the event. Upon leaving for the event there still was no change on availability in Valet. When we arrived back 2.30 hours after our event it was finally available. We were in a junior suite, there was no microwave and no fridge, I’m not understanding their method of pricing the rooms, no much included for the price paid.
- 5/5
Great bang for the dollar.
- 4/5
The hotel was nice and clean. The staff was great and always there to help. The night manager was fast to take care of our concerns. I would recommend this hotel for anyone staying in DC.
- 4.5/5
Superb
- 2/5
The area is good, the historic vibe is nice Staff gave lack of information. Was never told the valet prices. Valet driver was also kind of a space cadet. Hotel room was smaller than expected
- 2.5/5
Passable
- 2/5
Disappointing
- 3/5
Rooms are tiny but very clean. Carpeting in my room was worn and there was a tear near the bathroom. Bathroom was clean and updated, though. Beds are comfortable. It did not offer room service despite having a restaurant on site. There are no refrigerators in the room and no ice machines anywhere. They did bring me ice, though. Restaurant was quaint with good food but the ambiance on my last visit was disappointing due to ongoing staff conversation which could be heard from the kitchen and a very loud tv in the bar area despite the fact it was empty.
- 5/5
Need a small kids menu in dining room. Breakfast male server could have been nicer. I just had coffee and instructed to sit in the bar area. No one was in the dining room
- 5/5
Wonderful boutique hotel that is well located and reasonably priced.
- 5/5
Great location. Helpful staff. Didn’t try the restaurant but it looked good.
- 5/5
Clean room
- 5/5
This is such a lovely hotel in such a great location! The room was quite small, but very well appointed. The carpet and the curtains were both gorgeous. It was perfectly clean. My only issue is that my coffee maker didn’t work and I doubted two of the plugs on the clock next to the bed. They’re very kindly stored our luggage for us. I would definitely stay there again.
- 5/5
Such a cute cozy fun downtown place to stay
- 4/5
Location is good. Can walk to national Mall or take the metro. No small fridge in the room. Hall way has strange smell, not unpleasant, but weird. Room is clean though. Overall a good stay, considering the price.
- 4/5
The property was clean, the grounds are beautiful, it is very well located, the staff at the front desk was helpful.
- 4/5
The hotel's drawbacks are typical for historic hotels - the gym is very very small, with no space for a mat (and no mats), and the rooms, while lovely, are dated - we particularly missed having a refrigerator. That said, we'd stay there again - we thought it was excellent value for the price.
- 5/5
Exceptional
- 1/5
Too much road noise. They need to sound proof their windows. And the temperature control is not that great.
- 5/5
Loved the location and its charm- will be back to stay when I am in DC
- 5/5
This hotel was conveniently located to many places for tourism, eating etc. The front desk and door staff were incredibly accommodating to help with keeping bags at desk when needed, holding doors and greeting us, asking if we needed an umbrella, free waters and as many coffee pods as needed, etc. We stayed for 6 nights and they were so great that we plan to stay again in the future!

Room was clean and well kept! Bed extremely comfy! I love the coffee pot for early effortless coffee in the morning! Staff was very helpful and tried their best for early check in but It was Memorial Day weekend in DC! A/C in room 712 need a bit of help! Thanks for a great stay!
- 5/5
My stay was comfortable and peaceful. The staff were professional and very helpful. My room was just right for me, very cozy. I would differently recommend this hotel to friends and family. The location was perfect, a hop, skip or jump away from all I needed. I will return in the near future. Thank you for your kind hospitality.
- 2/5
I was first given a room that smelled like an ashtray. Requested to be moved and got a smaller room but fortunately it smelled clean. However all the windows were drafty and it was constantly cold and noisy as all outside noise was audible. The hotel in general needs a major update. It feels like a time warp in the 80’s. Staff need to be trained. Reception staff ranged between nice and helpful to not knowing anything to plain rude. There is no concierge to advise on anything and as a guest needing advice about a new city I felt seriously underserved in that aspect. The location is convenient but this is not a 4 star hotel at all and it is very dated and somewhat dilapidated.
- 3.5/5
The location The bugs and coffee machine did not produce hot coffee.

Room is pleasant Lighting could be better. Hanger for jacket, shirt etc would be useful. Didn't like the door mirror in the bathroom
- 4/5
Very good
- 5/5
Small room but clean and perfect location.
- 4/5
The bed was extremely soft, shower was great, and the staff were very helpful. My only concern is that there was not a small refrigerator in the room like most hotels.
- 4.5/5
Superb
- 3/5
They cannot valet a vehicle larger than a standard size car. Staff was amazing in helping me find street parking but otherwise we would have not been able to stay. The windows are VERY THIN so it is loud all night with sirens going down the street and night time walkers yelling.
- 3/5
The parking was atrocious. :(

This hotel is very unique! The rooms were extremely clean and comfortable. The staff was very friendly in good proximity to a lot of great areas in DC. Absolutely recommend!
- 5/5
This was our second time staying here and it was once again absolutely wonderful. The staff are very polite and helpful. The location cannot be beat. Very walkable. Cannot wait for our next visit.
- 5/5
Clean room and nice staffs.
- 5/5
Great Staff. Convenient location.
- 5/5
I got in late and I appreciated there was someone at the door to help me. I checked in fast and was given an impecable room on a top floor away from noise. Loved my room 603. My experience was accentuated by the kind and cheerful staff there, I spoke to 3 of the lobby people during my stay. I even bought the bath robe, a souvenir from one of the most memorable experiences during my hectic work travels. The bar has been raised :) thank you
- 5/5
Very nice staff, hotel and bar.
- 5/5
Lovely hotel for DC stay!
- 5/5
They need to improve the menu options—there are too few.
- 5/5
Perhaps a mention of surrounding car parks if a person didn’t want valet parking
- 5/5
Historic
- 5/5
Clean room. Great staff
- 5/5
Great stay!
- 5/5
Everything top notch including location.
- 5/5
A lovely anniversary getaway!

- 4/5
Yes the French toast was amazing waiter was awesome! The room was clean with nice bathroom. The check in staff was kind of weird.
- 5/5
Wonderful stay. Although only one night thoroughly enjoyed Restaurant was fine as well as the bar. Doorman informed us that street parking was free. saving us about 60 dollars
- 5/5
Very nice location and place. Gym extra small though.
- 3/5
The wifi was extremely slow which made it difficult to work. I found multiple hairs in the bathroom so it didn't feel thoroughly cleaned before I got there. The restaurant utensils were also dirty. Staff was nice.
- 5/5
I've stayed at the Henley Park Hotel several times and always have a pleasant experience. The front desk and restaurant staff are always helpful and the rooms are clean and comfortable. It's in a good location too. I recommend it.
- 2/5
Rooms and bathrooms were very small. Staff was rude and pretentious. Their restaurant wouldn’t bring food up to my room so I had to go down and carry all of the plates up to my room (no bags or to go items). Even the cleaning people didn’t wait to let me out of the elevator before walking in.
- 5/5
Well situated
- 5/5
Very comfortable stay and friendly staff!
- 4/5
I loved our stay! The beds were comfy and it felt very historical! I didn’t love how small the rooms were and how few outlets there were in the room. Additionally, the bathroom was on an odd incline but the staff was lovely!
- 1/5
The hotel damage one of my luggage. The general manager saw it and asked me for my information. He said that he was going to contact the property insurance company and call me back. I never heard back from him. Every time I call the property he doesn’t come to the phone. I’m not used to dealing with unprofessional business people that don’t have accountability. I will continue to try to resolve this issue with the property. But I will never stayed there again or recommended to anyone
- 5/5
Small but nice hotel. Very comfy. Clean. Great service.
- 4/5
Avoid the bar, usually dead.
- 4/5
Websitecwas misleading about room service being available. Yes, if you wanted to go downstors to pick it up! Once kitchen closes, no room service was available. Bice hotel but be forewarned
- 5/5
This is a small quiet retreat from the hub bub of DC. I love the old English architecture and decor of this historic hotel. The food at the bar and restaurant is delicious. And the staff is friendly and helpful. I have stayed here many times and it remains one of my favorites in DC.
- 5/5
The staff were very kind and attentive. We had dinner at the Tavern and the food was excellent. We also had breakfast the next morning and that meal was very enjoyable and plentiful. The room was very clean but I was disappointed that there were no inexpensive slippers for out stay. We enjoyed out stay here and recommend it for the centrally located hotel within walking distance of many tourist areas.
- 3/5
No fridge, no microwave; in the bathroom, one bath towel per person.
- 4/5
This is a nice and quiet hotel. There is limited common areas and the bar closes promptly at 10:00. The rooms are clean and reasonably sized. The bathroom in our room had tub shower combination, which at my age is a negative vs a walk-in shower.
- 5/5
Such a lovely team at the Henley Park Hotel. So nice to come back to after a long work day - really enjoyed being able to grab dinner or a drink in the restaurant / bar. Great location as well. I had a very late arrival in the early morning hours of the next day due to a delayed flight and really appreciated the responsive team who confirmed I would be able to still check on easily at 1 or 2 am. Thank you all for a lovely stay.
- 4/5
Our room (#203) was an interior-facing room with two windows looking out over the internal courtyard. Even though the weather was cool/cold (50s-30sF), the room was somewhat stuffy and I had to turn on the air con. As several reviews have noted, the rooms are somewhat dated. The shower controls were a bit hard to control (temperature went from very hot to very cold with minor movement of the lever) but water was hot and pressure was good. But the room and bathroom were CLEAN. And I appreciated the included coffee maker with K-cup style tea/coffee. And for the price I can't complain. Staff were efficient and courteous. Thank you for a lovely stay in DC!
- 4/5
The hotel has a grace and uniqueness but its age shows in places: sockets didn’t all work and our room got cold because one of the windows didn’t close fully. But the staff did everything to make up for these issues. Our room was clean, the food and service in the dining room was good, and the staff was friendly and helpful.
- 5/5
Did not breakfast
- 5/5
Hotel in Perfect Location. Walking distance to Chinatown, Convention Center, restaurants and shopping!!
- 2/5
Parking is ridiculously expensive and it’s not possible to easily self-park. That requires paying for valet parking, even if you don’t want to. The restaurant on the premises is overpriced, and I was essentially kicked out of the restaurant before I admitted finish my meal. The waitress/server “upsold” an additional glass of wine, and then promptly asked me to leave and take the wine to my room. I was unable to finish the meal because she wanted to close up the restaurant.
- 5/5
Location of this hotel was great! I'm so glad we didn't need to get a rental car. I felt it was a great bargain for the price. Staff were great and they actually came in and fixed the room each day- I feel like other cheaper places we've stayed to do offer that. The Wi-Fi was a little slow, but we enjoyed staying here to explore the city for long weekend.
- 4/5
Great hotel, good location. WiFi was terrible however, never had speeds above 1Mbs!
- 4/5
The staff were attentive and efficient. The hotel is historic and adorned nicely. We were disappointed the tavern closed early on a Friday night. The rate was reasonable, however the parking makes up difference for another that might offer free/included parking. Breakfast was divine. Again the staff are responsible and pleasant.
- 4/5
Thin walls able to hear noisy conversation and noisy in DC outside at night
- 5/5
Clean room
- 5/5
Clean room. No refrigerator unless you ask ahead. Beautiful building, comfie bed. You can hear street noise but staying in other hotels in area, it can’t be avoided. Staff was very friendly and helpful
- 5/5
One night was not enough. We really enjoyed the old school experience.
- 5/5
Dinner was lovely. It just is a little offset with the tea I arrived to check in and then have a late lunch in the middle of the afternoon. I did not realize that was going on maybe that could be something communicated to your customers beforehand. But overall the staff was very accommodating.
- 5/5
What a quaint hotel in the perfect walking location to all the sites to see. The room was charming and the staff extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very good and reasonable. I highly recommend staying in this hotel when in the area.
- 5/5
Didn’t have the breakfasts
- 5/5
Great hotel. Parking is a bit costly but it is what it is. Restaurant was nice food and service excellent. Desk staff and doorman /valet all top notch. We came for NC AA basketball tournament and would stay here again
- 5/5
The staff was so personable from the doorman the front desk the wait staff. Everyone was excellent
- 5/5
Nice clean and comfortable room
- 5/5
I was informed that breakfast was not included
- 2/5
I arrived at 11pm to find that my reservation for 2 rooms had been cancelled. With the hotel turning me away, I was able to secure 2 rooms despite being told I was basically out of luck! Very disappointing.
- 4/5
Lovely setting, not many amenities. The hvac system might need to be updated but we could open our window and get cooler air.
- 5/5
Everything was fine
- 5/5
Clean and professional
- 5/5
What a lovely stay! In the middle of a big city this was an oasis. I walked in the door to serenity. A quiet hotel, comfortable beds, thick carpets, heavy drapes, and a clean room.
- 2/5
Very nice historic hotel with a perfect location near city center and other attractions. Unfortunately, we couldn’t enjoy our stay fully due to the A/C system not functioning properly and it was so loud that we could not get any sleep. The room was hot and we could not get the temp to drop. We finally couldn’t take it any longer that I reported the issue to the front desk. He was very concerned and kind, but couldn’t offer any remedy to getting it fixed. So, we checked out at nearly 4:00am and checked into another hotel in town for the remainder of our stay. What bothers me the most is that the night attendant said he wrote clear notes and that I’d be contacted by management. Sadly, I’ve yet to hear back from management. Disappointed!
- 5/5
I really appreciate the architecture and the historical atmosphere, especially the cozy lobby. A standout detail is The Tavern—the combination of the starlight atrium ceiling and the strategic use of mirrors makes the entire space feel incredibly spacious and bright. It’s a beautiful mix of 1918 charm and clever light-play. A must-see for anyone who loves thoughtful, classic design.
- 4/5
Place is nice and clean and beautiful. There was no mini fridge in my room or microwave or drinks. They offer water at the desk though. They have valet parking but it’s a bit expensive at $59 a night. WiFi is free. Staff is nice. I’d stay again.
- 5/5
The room was very clean with nice basic amenities- the gym was small but had everything you need as long you weren't looking to lift over 25lbs. The hotel restaurant had am amazing breakfast that they could very quickly make to-go. Overall great location, beautiful artwork and details in the hotel, and would absolutely stay again.
- 2/5
Room was clean but poorly stocked. The thermostat did not work and nearly boiled us alive. The windows won’t open so we were dying of heat and the staff was not even apologetic about it. Zero empathy.
- 5/5
It was very very good to stay cozy place and clean...in summary it was perfect place!
- 5/5
Such a cute hotel with very friendly and accommodating staff! I will stay here again!
- 5/5
Stayed 3/5/26 for a concert. This was such a charmingly beautiful hotel, I really enjoyed how quaint it’s was. Beautiful design and architecture also comfortable beds, good service. The only thing I would say is there was a lot of outside noise in the morning since the room was facing the street. I would definitely stay again!
- 5/5
Accomodation was perfect for the time we needed and the room was clean.
- 5/5
Nice hotel very quaint and quiet.
- 5/5
Room was excellent. Really loved the atmosphere of the hotel
- 5/5
Classy hotel. Resembles the older European hotels
- 4/5
When we were given our first room, we walked in and the room was a mess. Bed was not made look like somebody had just left. Went down to the front desk and they gave us another room. That room was fine. The bed mattress was a little worn out. The staff was very nice and accommodating.
- 3/5
The heat was turned off during my entire stay — I froze. There are no refrigerators in the room. The coffee maker did not work. The entrance door is extremely heavy and difficult to manage while maneuvering luggage. The staff were sweet and very accommodating.
- 4/5
Staff very friendly It was a quick visit
- 4/5
Our stay was great ! Everything from the hotel, staff, to the location was excellent ! The only thing was there are no refrigerators or microwaves available in the hotel :(…. Other than that lovely!
- 4/5
It would have been nice to have a small refrigerator in the rooms.
- 5/5
Clean
- 5/5
Yes. Wish the restaurant had extended hours
- 5/5
It was a cute room. The staff were nice.
- 4/5
💯
- 5/5
Huge, spacious rooms. Nice bar and restaurant. A bit dated but a great place to stay. The public spaces have an old fashioned charm.
- 5/5
Beautiful hotel with boutique feel. Wonderful and clean rooms. Really enjoyed it!
- 4/5
First time at the Henley. It was a nice hotel in a great location
- 5/5
The General Manager was outstanding. He went above and beyond to make sure my stay during the conference was excellent. The Bell Captain was also kind and helpful. I’m ready to book again for next February!
- 5/5
Exceptional
- 5/5
Warm welcoming lobby and bar, comfortable clean room, excellent location, and great value.
- 2/5
The amount of hold charges to my card literally more than doubled the original cost of the room. Hotel cost was about 500. I have over a grand charged. Room was clean. Hotel was quiet. The bathroom door didn’t close so we were using a cooler the entire weekend to hold the door closed. Knowing there was no fridge, we brought a cooler. Didn’t anticipate no ice machine present. We had to go to the front desk every time we needed ice. I don’t like being hot when i sleep. Couldn’t get the thermostat to cool to less than 72. It wasn’t a gross hotel. We were overall comfortable but wouldn’t stay here again.
- 5/5
The room was very comfortable, with the staff being very hospitable and highly professional.
- 4/5
The rooms were nice and the location terrific. Unfortunately, the tavern closed in the evening due to lack of business. I had been looking forward to grabbing something to eat after my work event. I had to go elsewhere.
- 5/5
The staff was wondering and so hap
- 4/5
Rooms clean / Customer service is great
- 5/5
Nice boutique hotel. Friendly staff and clean rooms.
- 3/5
We had reserved a queen bed but our room had a full bed and ended up smaller overall than we were anticipating - No fridge or ice machine - Staff are friendly and helpful - Location is spot on - Probably has the best parking rate in the area if you need to park your car
- 5/5
Clean room, kind and helpful staff
- 1/5
Poor policy
- 1/5
No flexibility- even with a blizzard coming they absolutely would not make a consideration.
- 5/5
Timeless, a breath of fresh air
- 4/5
Otherwise perfect
- 5/5
Our room was spotless, staff was friendly and attentive. The building is beautiful and in the perfect location to visit museums and monuments. The food and service at the bar and restaurant were excellent as well. We will definitely be back!
- 5/5
Nice, quaint older hotel. Great staff.
- 3/5
Sofa was not a sleeper like it was advertised. Parking is not available for SUV or trucks
- 5/5
My partner and I stayed for Valentine’s Day and could not have been more pleased. From beginning to end everything was seamless. Greeted by friendly staff who assisted with my bags while I got checked in, Valet service certainly made things much easier. Our room was clean and cozy, with everything meeting our standards. The bed was extremely comfortable. We failed at making dinner reservations so the hotel restaurant came in clutch with a delicious 5 course Valentines Day meal. After dinner our car was brought to us so that we could continue our night on the city. Probably one of my favorite experiences as I didn’t have to stress about parking or long waits. Definitely recommend and will be staying here again.
- 5/5
The staff was phenomenal!

Amazing
- 5/5
Clean rooms, friendly staff, great atmosphere
- 4/5
I like historic hotels & this is a nice option in DC. My room (junior suite) was large & comfortable with a good work space & seating area in addition to a super comfy bed. The restaurant & tavern staff were very kind & helped me modify a few meals to fit my dietary preferences. I appreciated the kind door man, as well!
- 5/5
Very nice
- 5/5
The room was pretty functional. Enough outlets but not always in the right places. Bed comfy, geeat shower, nice breakfast.
- 5/5
Everything was clean.
- 5/5
Large room for DC, good location
- 5/5
Great price and location! Later than usual checkout times
- 5/5
Central location, many places to eat and visit.
- 1/5
No trash bags Maid come in empty trash stil no trash bags Didn’t make up the bed Refill coffee k cups not creamer etc Door man never opened the door Serious daft from windows
- 5/5
Comfortable room. Quiet. Nice staff. Good value.
- 5/5
Absolutely loved this room. Any room ending in 11 has an ama big view! Staff sweet and hotel room very clean and adorable.
- 4/5
That was just strange. Otherwise, our whole day was fine.
- 5/5
Clean room and very cooperative staff. Hotel is a throwback to a more elegant time.
- 3/5
The building is beautiful and they have kept a lot of the original charm. Some of the repairs seem to be done with less care and fit and finish could be done better. Room was nice. No AC in the winter so we had to open windows to cool it down a bit. Though there is a room service button, there is not room service. The connected restaurant is.. ok. Overall, pretty good for the price.
- 5/5
Great place.
- 2/5
The room was very clean and the location was perfect. But the room next two me was super loud two nights in a row and I barely slept. The first night it was two men arguing at 2am and the second night was a couple fighting past midnight with a woman crying incredibly loud. I was very concerned for her. I probably was very unlucky but I slept very poorly here.
- 5/5
Clean room. Will stay here again.
- 2/5
I'm giving the staff a 5 star, however they don't tell you that parking is an additional $50 dollar fee besides the stay. Also after I got to the room after driving 5 hrs to get there my shower wasn't working, no hot water and the actual shower did not work. I had to leave early that morning so I had literally no time to call for a different room. Definitely not staying there ever again, but staff is very nice and welcoming.
- 5/5
Staff.. amenities.. cleanliness
- 5/5
Clean, very comfortable beds
- 5/5
Everything was good but the WiFi could've been better. Other than that everything was good

The staff were helpful, and got my needs met. I did not avail of breakfast. I stayed for 2 nights before seeing family in MD. I had a nice break in my travels to acclimate to the time zone and got the chance to explore DC. It was overall a wonderful stay after a long flight. I plan stay there again on my next visit this year.
- 5/5
It was perfect.
- 5/5
Great deal in a great location. The staff was very friendly. The heating did make a loudish humming noise off and on which was a little disruptive while sleeping, but no regrets overall.
- 5/5
Wow this staff was so professional.. The hotel was extremely clean I will definitely be coming back soon!
- 5/5
8 min walk to Metro Central. 12 min walk to the White House.
- 5/5
I went early and checked bags. They gave us a call and the room was ready as we were running around the city. The doorman was excellent and very helpful as was the desk. We have dietary requirements so we don't eat at the hotels. The room is a little tight as the bed takes up most of space and the TV in the room we had was on a angled wall which annoyed me a little but wasn't very important. Had an iron and an ironing board, soft shower, all the usual bathroom accoutrements and a K-Cup coffee maker with ceramic cups and glass cups in the bathroom, all pluses.
- 5/5
The room was spotless, check in was easy and efficient, the building was nicely decorated for the Christmas season, and I would recommend the hotel. However, it is not handicap accessible, which was a problem for me.
- 5/5
Clean room and staff was very nice
- 5/5
Great staff
- 5/5
All of it! My wife and I really enjoyed ourselves.
- 5/5
Everyone was
- 5/5
This is a beautiful hotel that is about 108 years old. The foyer and public areas are just gorgeous, and I love especially the arched doors. Even the dining room was incredible - such high ceilings! Staff was very good.
- 3/5
The room was meh. The bathroom was a disappointment. Not worth the money. Did not feel like a 4-star hotel. I've stayed in better places that were not 4 stars. Parking is a scam. We had to end up finding our own parking at another parking garage that was a bit farther from the hotel, but not too bad. Some staff were also rude, especially when asked about the parking. The doorman was nice though, shout out nice doorman.

I stayed at The Henley Park Hotel from November 14 to November 15, 2025, booked through Expedia. At check-in, the hotel placed a $70 deposit hold on my credit card. It has now been over one month since my checkout, and the deposit has still not been released. I contacted the hotel directly multiple times, but I have not received a resolution or a clear response. Holding a guest’s money for more than a month after checkout is unacceptable. This experience has been extremely frustrating and unprofessional, and it has significantly affected my trust in the hotel’s billing practices. I strongly recommend that future guests confirm deposit and refund policies in writing before staying here. I hope Expedia will assist in resolving this matter promptly.
- 4/5
Pros: clean and quiet. Cons: small room and seemed dated. Overall though, excellent value for a good room and good location.
- 5/5
Room was clean, accessible and cozy
- 5/5
Great room great staff great location with lots to do in the area
- 4/5
Nice hotel
- 5/5
Hotel, very nice, staff gave us a warm welcome and were professional and courteous. Rooms were delightful. All sights are within walking distance.
- 5/5
The room was clean, the decor festive, and the staff excellent. Will totally stay again!
- 4/5
The bad: they did not offer room service. I like to take breakfast and coffee relaxing in my pijamas and not needing to lave and order and go pick it up. But that was not an option because there was no room service. The rooms were small and had no fridge but I’m assuming that’s due to it being an old, historic hotel. Finally, I was not impressed at all with the restaurant food. Food was very bland and boring. Too bad because the restaurant and bar decor were beautiful.
- 5/5
We didn’t eat breakfast
- 5/5
Check In/Out was on point. Super friendly and the bell hop support was outstanding. Hotel is spotless
- 5/5
The building os pretty old which gives it charm. With charm you give up
- 5/5
I recommend it.
- 5/5
I stay there frequently. Friendly staff, great rooms, great location.
- 5/5
Wonderful room, helpful friendly staff, beautiful surroundings and great location!
- 5/5
My stay is always amazing when I stay with the Henley Park Hotel the Service I received was a 100/10 they were very helpful and nice to me … the room was clean and comfy
- 5/5
.
- 3/5
The heat in the room never got the temperature over 69 degrees
- 5/5
The hotel is absolutely charming with a lovely parlor and convenience to the convention center and so many attractiions. The staff is absolutely top-notch - super friendly and efficient. Will be staying here again on future work trips!
- 5/5
All good. I needed a central location for three nights
- 5/5
staff was nice and helpful. enviroment was great. place was clean.
- 5/5
Además cuidan las maletas, nuestro vuelo era a las 10 de la noche así que eso nos ayudó mucho a disfrutar el día después del check out
- 3/5
I found hair in the bathtub drain and there was no mini fridge to put our soft drink in.
- 5/5
Quaint, historical hotel. Because of the reasonable prices, I opted for the junior suite. Surprised it did not offer a microwave or mini fridge. I love being able to warm up my coffee. Comfortable bed, nice linens. Parking was surprisingly easy —on the side street in the evening and in the garage down the street during the day for $18
- 5/5
All good, although room had a few flaws (e.g., exhaust fan in bathroom didn’t work). But overall a great stay, with helpful staff, and a lobby that was beautifully decorated for the holidays.
- 5/5
staff
- 5/5
classy hotel

- 4/5
The hotel is in a great location to walk to all the historical sites and museums. We had a fantastic weekend in DC. Highly recommend.
- 5/5
Clean and nice.
- 5/5
This was our first time in Washington DC and it was an incredible experience. Easy valet parking, a little expensive, but made it less of a hassle to find somewhere to keep our car. It's very very close to a beautiful little park, has great food right near by, coffee shops, burger spots, etc. Very pretty hotel, not the best views from the room, but it's the city, so we weren't worried about it. Spent many days coming and going as we pleased, walking to each Smithsonian museum. Wonderful time, we will definitely recommend it to all our friends.
- 5/5
Everyone was so friendly! They made me feel very important.
- 2/5
Room had multiple switches that did not work no amenities. Staffbwas unprofessional whern i showed then a used qtip was in my bed and "we can clean bedding" and charges applied that "they dont have in their system".
- 5/5
Beautiful historical building. Incredibly comfortable bedding.
- 4/5
Clean, comfortable stay, helpful staff. Only complaint is that I needed change for a $20 and no one could apparently help me with that.
- 2/5
Yes. Used Q TIP found in the bed. Charged card multiple times without knowledge and customer service was not helpful as the manager was very dismissive about charges and gave a half hearted apology like i put the qtip in the bed on purpose
- 5/5
Good value for money, close to ev erything
- 5/5
Accommodations, clean, quiet and comfortable. Younger front desk staff need training on providing directions, support to major locations, such as the Ronald Regan building.
- 5/5
Great location in DC. Walkable to Metro and national Mall.
- 5/5
the hotel is gorgeous and very close to lots of dining and attractions. staff were so kind with providing us free toothbrushes and toothpaste as well as a mini fridge when we requested it. our room was lovely and comfortable, though the a/c didn’t work very well and it stayed pretty warm in the room throughout the night. the toilet also had some issues flushing, but nothing major. the shower had great water pressure and they also provide plenty of toiletries. overall i would definitely stay here again!!
- 4/5
it’s was very good!
- 5/5
Beautiful!!
- 5/5
Overall great place to stay
- 5/5
The room was spotless. Comfortable bed and pillows
- 4/5
Clean and great staff. Room was sufficient. Lacked a fridge and not super spacious but it's an old building. The air was also sort of problematic with the AC not really cooling down to the temperature. Outside that, fantastic!
- 5/5
Had a great stay! They gave us a free upgrade and the hotel was beautiful
- 5/5
Room was spotless, staff were courteous, and the decor is simply unparalleled!
- 5/5
The staff was helpful and it was such a cute and unique space.
- 3/5
I saw a mouse in my room and had to change rooms. That was unfortunate
- 5/5
Amazing place, top notch location, great room, and a great deal!
- 5/5
Excellent stay at a historic hotel. Rooms have been updated, were clean with comfi beds and very helpful staff.
- 5/5
It was a wonderful stay and the staff were the best I’ve ever dealt with!’
- 5/5
Very clean! Absolutely gorgeous hotel with spacious rooms! Great location as well!
- 4/5
Yes but the breaskfast was not free
- 5/5
Hotel staff and including door attendants and cleaning staff were exceptional.
- 5/5
Excellent
- 5/5
Returned after 10 years last time I stayed with the Henley Park. Great location, great in every way.
- 5/5
Clean room, staff was courteous water was free (really appreciated that)!! Would stay here again.
- 5/5
The room and bed was amazing and the staff were great
- 5/5
The room was clean, it had the necessary amenities and the staff were very nice.
- 5/5
Great experience.
- 5/5
Everything was amazing
- 5/5
The hotel was cool and the stay was very courteous.
- 5/5
It was very clean and nice and the staff were super kind and helpful as well. The phone in our room didn’t work but everything else was perfect!
- 5/5
All accommodations were outstanding!
- 2/5
Room was not what I expected, did not accommodate 3 people. Room was uncomfortable with the heat. Thermostat was off and ventilation was not great. No refrigerator in room.
- 5/5
Hensley staff was fantastic
- 5/5
Will stay here again.
- 5/5
It was just perfect!
- 5/5
The height of customer service in a old worldy historic beauty of a hotel.
- 5/5
Historic building. Beautiful building inside and out. The room was comfortable. The decor was true to the history of the hotel. We will be back.
- 4/5
Small rooms, great location for the Convention Center.
- 5/5
Wonderful staff!!!!
- 4/5
Nice property. Night time staff in the lobby and bar were super friendly. Daytime staff left a little to be desired. We had a king suite which was a nice size but found it odd that a suite did not have a refrigerator. The hotel is in a great location walkable to a lot of the main sites in DC and good restaurants. Overall our stay was nice.
- 5/5
The Henley is a gorgeous, “old world”’hotel with a boutique feel. Love staying here.
- 5/5
Excellent Value! Perfect location for Washington tourist.
- 4/5
I didnt have breakfast.
- 5/5
Best service!
- 2/5
The original room we were given was disheveled and used, like housekeeping hadn’t gotten to it even though it was well into the afternoon. The staff were pleasant about exchanging the room though the setup was very odd, not feng shui at all; I’m never a fan of a bed facing an entry door. Overall it was a pleasant experience but the hotel definitely needs some love.
- 4/5
The location (well except the street noises at night) and the room were nice, however, the AC did not work very well. A free dinning breakfast option would have been nice for guest.
- 5/5
Loved my room. Very comfortable
- 5/5
Clean room and walkable to all areas.
- 4/5
The staff was very nice and accommodating.
- 5/5
Exhaust Vents in the bathrooms would be great
- 5/5
Fantastic customer service all around
- 4/5
Service was pretty great except the receptionist who was a little less than eager to accommodate. I would recommend the hotel and I would return. It has a much more personal touch than big brand hotels and it is a American History Hotel.
- 5/5
Great
- 5/5
Room was small but clean and the staff was friendly and helpful.
- 5/5
Great stay! Could use a refrigerator in the room, but otherwise it was perfect!
- 3/5
It was alright for 1 night. I’m usually not one to complain but the bathroom floor was NOT clean, hair everywhere and pretty gross. Coffee maker didn’t work. Bed was somewhat comfortable. For 1 night , it’s definitely the cheapest option in Washington DC close to the White House.
- 5/5
Hotel was beautiful and great location. Very clean. Only negative was the a/c was too cold and I was not able to raise the thermostat. Had to turn it off to warm up. Then it was too warm!
- 5/5
Staff was so helpful
- 5/5
Nice hotel and location. Loved the price
- 5/5
The best shower water pressure I have ever experienced. Squeaky clean!
- 5/5
Everything you need in one special place. Clean and beautiful spaces to lounge or wait for your ride. Excellent location and near City Center. Warm and welcoming staff always ready to help you or make you more comfortable. Delicious food and fair prices at the restaurant. Comfortable beds and exceptionally clean rooms. Shout out to Oscar, Emily, Theo X 2, Usha, and Briano. Thanks so much for giving me such a wonderful experience for my first time in DC! I will definitely stay at The Henley Park again!!!
- 5/5
Very nice place very friendly staff good location 👍
- 5/5
No shopping
- 5/5
Neat old building.
- 5/5
We enjoyed staying here. The room was spacious enough and the bed was very comfortable. I especially liked that the hotel is conveniently located to top notch restaurants and many of the DC sites. Most things are in walking distance and close to the Metro. We didn't eat at the hotel restaurant so I cannot comment on it.
- 5/5
Old hotel but everything in good working order and cleanwith no odors. Quiet neighborhood
- 3/5
On a positive note, the beans were super comfortable!
- 5/5
The hotel is charming and welcoming. The room was very well appointed, spotlessly clean and the super king size bed was wonderfully comfortable.
- 5/5
Customer Service was excellent check in we smooth and easy my room was clean and the bed was so comfortable
- 4/5
Is good for the price room and bathroom small but is clean that’s what I. Are most , cleanliness.
- 5/5
I loved the property and the ease of accessibility to attractions but there was a lot of street noise…no fault of the hotel.
- 2/5
The wifi was horrible. They only had one elevator in operation, there was hardly ever anyone welcoming in the lounge or dining area. The rooms are extremely small and the upgrades to charging stations were not optimal.
- 4/5
The staff was accommodating, the location was close to museums and landmarks, and the lobby was pretty. It would be useful to have a microwave and refrigerator, the latter of which the hotel was able to provide on request. Please note that the room was fairly small compared to others I usually have at other hotels.
- 5/5
👍
- 3/5
The stay was good but only drawback was upon checking in, the manager was rude and was t friendly. The front desk worker was great but the manager was rude. I had done a credit card authorization form with my company and it was al set up. When I arrived the manager said it wasn’t on file and it had to be redone again. She just wasn’t cooperative. She shouldn’t be working there. The rest of the employees and staff were great. The room was small but it did its job.
- 4/5
The room was a bit dark for my liking, even with all of the lights on. I think it's just it's position in the building. The beds were comfortable and again, the aesthetic was so fun. Overall, a lovely stay and would 100% stay again.
- 5/5
It was a beautiful property, very unique and vintage. It felt luxurious and food was great at the restaurant.
- 5/5
Location is awesome. Quiet, clean, and comfortable rooms.
- 5/5
10/10 every time I'm here
- 3/5
Hi I didn’t receive the reimbursement for the breakfast charge. I didn’t spend a single dollar on any food at the hotel. They said they will return. I m still wiating
- 5/5
Beautiful corner king room in historic hotel. Everything was perfect!
- 5/5
The best hotel experience I have had in D.C. for the price by far!
- 5/5
I loved the fact that the person that checked us in is from my home country of El Salvador. Overall everyone gave us an excellent service. The breakfast at the restaurant was excellent. My room was always clean. And they opened the door every time I came in. Thank you so much for treating us like family.
- 5/5
Close enough to walk Washington sights. Many dining option within walking distance. Very nice room. Helpful staff.
- 4/5
Great location. Air conditioner a bit noisy
- 5/5
Loved it would gladly come back
- 5/5
.
- 5/5
great place for a price you can’t beat would recommend
- 5/5
Lovely experience
- 5/5
The rooms are very comfortable, and the staffs here are really nice.
- 5/5
Nice room, friendly staff
- 5/5
Lovely historic hotel. Great experience
- 5/5
I was a little nervous about coming given some recent bad reviews, but overall, I was pleasantly surprised. I was greeted warmly by the front desk staff each day and all the staff encountered were very nice. The lobby was a little dated, but the elevators were just fine. The room was excellent, clean (bed was a tad small, if 2 people slept in it) and clean and the shower was great! Rooms cleaning was excellent. They charge for parking, but so does every other hotel in DC but the room rate was excellent. The hotel is an 18-minute walk to most of the museums and was in a very convenient location to museums and places to eat. A safe neighborhood and on a busy street, but I didn;t hear any noise in my room. I would definitely stay here again.
- 3/5
staff are great but the bench in front of the elevator really need cleaning. Very tiny room.
- 4/5
This was a good value for money stay. Room and location great. There was a fire alarm and there was an absence of staff and then no further explanation offered as to what happened - clearly no fire but it seemed a police incident and an arrest; a communication from the hotel would have been reassuring.
- 3/5
Good hotel but poor Internet
- 5/5
We enjoyed our four days stay here. The hotel was convenient, clean and the staff were very accommodating. It was really hot during our stay and so we especially appreciated the ice-cold water in the lobby and the cool and comfortable rooms! We would 100% stay again!
- 5/5
The newly renovated rooms are great!!
- 5/5
An amazing hotel, great ambience and in a very convenient location for the convention center. Highly recommended!
- 5/5
Great location & friendly and helpful staff
- 4/5
Outstanding staff, great historical hotel!
- 4/5
A bit old but great. Very nice staff
- 5/5
Overall, the room was very nicely done. The bed was comfortable. Its downtown DC, so the was constant honking and sirens, but that was minor. Only one elevator was working at the time, so expect a little bit of a wait. The only offputting thing i experienced was a manager chewing out the person behind the desk infront of everyone. That was a bit unprofessional by the manager, and should have been done out of the public area.
- 5/5
Staff was very nice and helped with everything we needed
- 5/5
I stayed there 4 nights and everything was great. Staff was excellent, great location. Will certainly stay there again.
- 4/5
We scheduled two rooms for one night. The only complaint is one of the rooms had an unpleasant odor. Overall the staff was very friendly.
- 5/5
Great stay! Excellent value!
- 5/5
Beautiful property, lovely staff
- 5/5
Great stay
- 5/5
The hotel is nice a cosey and make me feel like visiting miniatures of Le Château Frontenac at Québec or the Empress in Victoria. I especially like the sitting area next to the lobby. Maybe I should just stop here; otherwise, I may not get the chance to book it when I need it.
- 4/5
We only booked one night during weekdays. Because of the morning guided tour, we were tired and hoped to rest and clean as soon as possible. The staff let us check in around 2:20 pm, which was very nice. However, the room do not have a small fridge. We sent a small food package to the frontal desk and asked for an overnight fridge storage. In the next morning, the breakfast was not complimentary, which was listed on Expedia as "Breakfast is available for free". The restaurant avoided to say "payment needed" when I ordered the breakfast. Finally they handed me a bill when I finished it. The "classic" breakfast, including two eggs, two slices of bacon, two slices of toast, several pieces of potatoes, and coffee, was paid with $28. The breakfast looked delicate and tastes well. If someone wants to have a "bargain" trip with the hotel, he/she might be disappointed.
- 5/5
Walking distance for everything is outstanding!
- 4/5
I only had a one night stay, unfortunately they do not have a fridge or microwave in the room. Stay was alright until I was woken up in the morning by the loudest drilling, I think it was in the adjacent room wall. Extremely annoying and went on for 2 hours.
- 2/5
The hotel charged my card additionally and after several in person and phone conversations would not remove the false charge. I had to duspute with a chargeback.
- 5/5
I really enjoyed the hospitality of the hotel staff. The parking was convenient and overall quite pleasant. Think traditional doorman style hotel. The room was comfortable and I didn’t hear any street noise.
- 4/5
This hotel has a great location within walking distance of many attractions, and the staff were pleasant and helpful. However, the hotel is in dire need of renovation and my stay was impacted by ongoing construction. The fire alarm went off twice during my stay, both times due to the construction work, forcing everyone to evacuate their rooms and wait outside until the fire department arrived to turn it off. The construction noise was also a constant disruption. If you're a light sleeper or looking for a peaceful stay, I would recommend waiting until the renovations are complete before booking this hotel. However, if you prioritize location and don't mind a bit of disruption, it might be a suitable option.
- 1/5
My son was unable to check in because the hotel will not allow an adult under 21. On Expedia it actually claims this hotel has not age limit for adults. We need to be reimbursed
- 5/5
Everything was good
- 1/5
It will be waste of typing. Terrible hotel, roo.s extremely small , athroom not updated since like 1950's, toilet ran forvthe whole time, had to get plumber to show how to use the shower. Just old ugly hotel inside. Did only see few guests, bar and restaurant tavern always empty. Nott too clean, elevator? Had to wait forever to come and get us down plus only one for the all 8 floors. Breakfast? Nice rooms but the omelette was discustung. Me and my husband left a night earlier as couldn't take the poor quality, the weird younf people, smell and also $48 each night for parking as they do not provide as says Valet through the website. It is low quality hotel i never seen before . Hotels .com?? Declined to refund to us at least $200 after i reached out about all the room service and broken stuff . Shame !!!!! Would never deal with them again.
- 4/5
It was nice, but they should provide in room directions on how the tea maker and the shower worked. I had to call the desk multiple times.
- 5/5
A historical but well-maintained hotel. It is a gem within a walking distance to many attractions.
- 5/5
The room is a little outdated but the bed was super comfy. ALL of the staff was kind, helpful, courteous and just amazing! I would stay again.
- 4/5
Thanks!
- 5/5
Cute stay
- 4/5
One elevator was not working of 2. No sign on elevator that 1 was going to be down for 2 months . Would have helped guest , give them self more time. For
- 5/5
We loved this beautiful historic hotel! Very clean, excellent location to all the big attractions but off to itself enough to not feel overwhelmed by noise and people. The room was small but comfortable. The staff was exceptional, especially the managers who were always visible and exceptionally friendly.
- 5/5
The operations manage was extremely helpful and kind. I feel that the staff went above and beyond. I would absolutely stay again.
- 5/5
We had a wonderful time on our visit to DC, staying 2 nights at the Henley. As soon as we arrived we were greeted by a welcoming door man who helped me unload our luggage and park our vehicle quickly and efficiently. Our check in was flawless and all of our interactions with the staff was pleasant and professional. Our room was fantastic; spacious, relaxing and relatively quiet for being in the heart of the city. We enjoyed two breakfasts at the Henley, and both times our server was attentive and kind and both of our breakfasts were delicious, filling, and reasonably priced. Access to the National Mall was easy and lovely; walking past the St. Patrick's church, Ford's Theater, the FBI building, and the Department of Justice. I would definitely recommend staying at the Henley for the decor and comfort of the hotel, the spacious room, and the convenience of walking to many DC attractions within 10-15 minutes.
- 5/5
very friendly Personel at the dinner - an very good dinner
- 5/5
Great location, walkable distance from many attractions and food places.
- 5/5
This place was such a gem!! The staff were exceptional and the building had beautiful vintage charm. Would absolutely stay there again!
- 5/5
Great location, staff was welcoming. Everything was clean
- 5/5
Henley is a solid stay for the price, especially if you happen to book last min through the app. It's well located downtown and close to tons of transit and shops .
- 5/5
Old school joint… quiet comfortable room… easy access to city… great staff … loved it.
- 3/5
Ancient elevators that take forever to get to you and one of them broke which made it even worse!
- 5/5
Excellent location. Beautiful historic hotel. Great customer service.
- 5/5
Unusually well-maintained / updated older hotel. (Much nicer than other such properties in DC) Has real charm. Very friendly and efficient staff. Extremely reasonably priced. Good location
- 3/5
Excellent location near Chinatown and beautiful decor with old tapestries . Unfortunately you can hear from the room all the noise outside which even at night seems to be a lot in the summer. Even a pair of good earplugs could not mute it
- 5/5
My stay was wonderful staff was friendly and quick and the hotel was clean and convenient to shopping
- 5/5
Good place for a decent price
- 5/5
Great price. Nice property.
- 4/5
Very charming and vintage place. The staff is friendly, the rooms are clean, and there are many bars and restaurants at walking distance. Also close to the historical buildings and monuments. I’d definitely stay again.
- 5/5
The staff were very nice. The hotel was clean and perfectly located.
- 3/5
The front desk staff were friendly and accommodating. However, they did receive a call from another guest at 2:00 am demanding that I be relocated to another room. To which they responded by promptly sending a bell hop to my room to collect my bags. I informed management of the ordeal at checkout the next day and was kindly offered a couple bottles of water for the road and for my inconvenience. No explanation or apology. I chose this hotel expecting a quiet, peaceful stay and wound up with one of the most disruptive and restless night’s sleep of my adult life. Needless to say I won’t be back or making any recommendations.
- 5/5
Clean and friendly
- 4/5
Unique and charming hotel. While the staff was very friendly they didnt seem to know what was going on in the hotel. My husband and I had asked at least twice if we needed reservations for dinner. We were sent back to the dining room but when we got there we were told there was a private party and could not eat there. We then decided to eat in the bar but found the area not to be very clean. We ended up eating at a restaurant outside of the hotel.
- 4/5
Old school noisy air con. No fridge in room. Room was nice and clean. Service was as you would expect
- 5/5
It was a really nice stay.
- 3/5
Room too small and parking is terrible. Cost too much for 1 night of parking. Not good
- 1/5
seemed like an old 2 star hotel, that is 10 times the price. it was the worst hotel we had on our 10 day vacation, yet much more expensive
- 3/5
Nice hotel but one elevator wasn’t working and one afternoon the remaining elevator stopped. The rooms are small and the toilets look like ones used for toddlers. If you have issues bending down low, you would do better staying in a newer hotel. Restaurant closed at 9:00-9:30. Short staffed in restaurant.
- 5/5
The hotel was really nice . The only thing I noticed in my room was the toilets are really low to the floor. The room sizes vary as well depending on where your room is . They did explain that prior to my stay . I stayed i. 2 different rooms because my flight was cancelled. The staff was very nice and accommodating
- 5/5
I was literally just blocks away from shopping and the National Mall. Very enjoyable stay.
- 5/5
Best kept secret in Washington DC
- 5/5
Nice clean
- 5/5
Amazing place, amazing staff ! I will come back for sure! Everything clean, very close to the restaurants, National mall , coffee place and others.
- 5/5
Everyone was incredibly nice and helpful. My wife and I stay at a lot of places all around the country and this is one of my top favorite places.
- 5/5
I highly enjoyed that it was an old historic hotel. All the architecture and interior design.
- 5/5
This is a great hotel and historic. The room was large and extremely comfortable. WE enjoyed our stay.
- 5/5
Very nice hotel. Nice clean rooms. Hospitable service
- 4/5
Small rooms, phone does not connect to front desk or anything. No cable or streaming capabilities. No must request ice from front desk but have to call on your own cell phone because the phone does not work.
- 5/5
They have done a good job restoring a historic property but in some areas, notably the elevators, it’s a work in progress. Friendly staff and I like that they have doormen. Very nice hotel.
- 5/5
Great stay! The staff was extremely helpful and the room was great!

Very nice hotel. Room was very clean. All of the staff was friendly and helpful. Would stay there again for sure!
- 5/5
Great place for an overnight stay. Very comfortable and lovely.
- 5/5
Awesome doormen and friendly front desk. Always gave me free water bottles. Room was small but had everything I needed. Bed was good. Water pressure was great.
- 5/5
Great
- 5/5
The service and the staff were excellent.
- 5/5
Excellent stay, beautiful, classic hotel! The junior suite was really large, more room than I imagined honestly. Could’ve stayed another day or 2 happily
- 5/5
This hostoric hotel is absolutely gorgeous and the staff so friendly and helpful. We would stay here again in an absolute heartbeat.
- 3/5
Upon arrival, one elevator was out of service and the other was stuck on the 6th floor. Had to walk up to room. Called for room service and advised to get menu on website. Made our selection, called for room service and told that neither item we had selected were still available and that the on-line menu was out of date. Very limited closet space and little counter space in the bathroom. Overall, very disappointed in the accommodations.
- 5/5
Very well kept historic downtowm hotel. The small suite we rented was pristine. Nice furniture, freshly painted, good carpeting, very clean and comfortable bed.The hotel is downtown DC so a heavy city traffic area. Traffic noise was barely audible in the room however. Room price was very reasonable for a downtown DC hotel.
- 5/5
Clean rooms and very quiet
- 5/5
Easily accessible with convenient parking.
- 4/5
Excellent location and cute
- 5/5
Great
- 5/5
This was my first time staying at The Henley. A beautiful neighborhood location and it was quite convenient to be able to navigate downtown meetings. It has been awhile since I stayed at a historic hotel, and this was a lovely change. The rooms were surprisingly modern and I loved the window view.
- 5/5
It’s a great hotel very clean and comfortable. It’s close to a few things so expect to walk or take an Uber. Not many places to eat around the hotel. All in all we had a great stay!
- 5/5
The hotel is located inside a beautiful historic building and the rooms are clean and well maintained. The staff were helpful and the on-site restaurant and bar were handy. I just wish these had longer opening hours. One thing which would improve the stay would be if there was an option to do laundry at the property.
- 5/5
good location. walkable to almost anywhere. upscale vibe. older, but classic. would stay again
- 5/5
Parking sucks in downtown DC, otherwise everything else about this Hotel and area were great.
- 4/5
The old historic hotel was just what I needed. I always wanted to stay here, and reserving too late across the street afforded me the opportunity. The lobby and bar are in need of brightness - more lighting perhaps - without ruining the lovely historic charm. The room was clean, the bathroom modern. The cost was reasonable. The room needs more USB and even electrical outlets that work, but so do most hotels. I would stay here again.
- 3/5
It seems as if drivers in the Washington DC area really enjoy using their horn. This hotel is at a busy intersection with frequent backups, which results in lengthy horn house thrpughout the night. It is also possible that there is either an ambulance or police substation nearby because frequent sirens were also an issue. Staff is very friendly though, and the location is only a block away from the convention center, three blocks from the Metro station.
- 5/5
The property was very clean and the staff was welcoming and friendly. I will definitely stay there again!
- 5/5
Any need was met fast and efficiently. Oscar the manager was kind and extremely helpful. I felt safe and cared for. Only negative was the walls are paper thin, as they say. I could here coversations in the next room and hallway.
- 5/5
The staff was extremely nice. The room was nice. I will be staying there when I come see Washington caps play
- 4/5
I look for uniqueness. This wasn’t one of the chain hotels.
- 5/5
Nice hotel, good location. Reasonable compared to many other properties in DC.
- 4/5
The hotel is in a very convenient and safe location with easy access to a Metro station, many restaurants, and the many must-see museums, etc. The lobby is beautiful and the bar was nice, lovely staff, too. My only complaint is the cleanliness/property conditions. On the surface, everything is quite clean, but the carpets are very old and there's no ventilation, even in the bathroom, so I suspect dust and mold are settling into carpets and/or the walls. I had horrible allergy attacks every night and that's completely unusual for me unless there's a lot of hidden dust/mold in either the carpets, walls, or pillows. The rooms are comfortable and nice otherwise, but the carpets need to be stripped out and either replaced with new ones, or flooring should be put in. It's far more hygienic anyway. I overheard a guest complaining about the same thing in the bar/restaurant area as well.

Five star staff
- 5/5
Clean, nice and historical. It can be noisy depending on the room and bg which steeet you are in. We had to change the room to get a more quiet stay. Staff is friendly
- 5/5
My Husband and I had the most wonderful time at the Henley park hotel. The Staff was super kind and helpful and the building has the most beautiful historic charm. Next time we come to DC this will definitely be where we stay. The hotel is also in a great area within walking distance of many restaurants and shops. I highly recommend.
- 5/5
The hotel is in a nice area, close to things.
- 5/5
I would highly recommend this hotel.
- 5/5
Great location for the Walter E . Lovely large room on 8th floor. Good housekeeping
- 4/5
Lovely historic hotel. Comfortable room.
- 4/5
Nice place near DC convention center.
- 5/5
Friendly staff and very clean. The only issue is the internet is almost not usable...if that can be improve...wow...this is one of the much nicer hotels I've stayed.
- 4/5
The staff was vprofessional professional and courteous.
- 5/5
Great staff, great location. Parking was easy with the valet. I would stay there again!
- 5/5
Great hotel. Room was cleaned daily and the staff was very friendly!!
- 5/5
Very convenient for conference at Marquis Marriott across the road. Perfectly close for downtown stroll and to the Baisin for the Cherry Blossoms. Lovely staff. Comfortable room and bed.
- 5/5
It was a historic hotel so older but nice and clean. We walked to the mall which was less than a mile. The only drawback was the noice outside our window because we were facing the busy street.
- 5/5
Good service
- 5/5
Great, historic hotel with friendly, helpful staff and clean rooms. I will happily stay here again
- 5/5
Great stay. They held our bag before check in and I did a pre-check in and they called me when my room was ready (early). Room clean and comfortable. Check out is noon which is nice.
- 5/5
Staff was very nice! Parking is somewhat an issue without having to pay for expensive parking garages. My stays are always great!
- 5/5
They made it easy to enjoy our stay.
- 5/5
Great hotel, great location.
- 4/5
Incredibly charming old hotel in a great part of DC. Very comfortable bed, friendly staff. Weirdly, the temperature of our room went down to 57 degrees, and we were told there was nothing that could be done about it (?). Other issue is that the sound of doors of other rooms closing is very loud. Still, despite these two issues would likely stay here again.
- 5/5
Great service. The staff was helpful and very friendly. The room was nice. The hotel was beautiful.
- 4/5
The staff was very friendly and accommodating.
- 5/5
Staff are nice and friendly! Hotel is very accessible to everything!
- 5/5
Great, Communicative Staff! Clean Rooms! Beautiful Decor!
- 5/5
It was a very clean room, with a comfortable bed. Location was excellent. Very walkable area.
- 5/5
We love this place, we come at lest once a month. Alexa in the front desk is the best
- 5/5
Very good service, comfort room, walking distance to museums.
- 5/5
Great stay in DC.
- 3/5
Charming place. Convenient for business but really needs refurbishing. Clean with comfortable beds but small rooms that just need a lot of TLC. I like the hotel but when you stay at other more modern places, you’re giving up a lot of space and comfort to stay here.
- 5/5
I enjoyed the quaint atmosphere and the staffs' response to any requests.
- 5/5
It is a very comfortable place to stay
- 5/5
Staff was very friendly and accommodating. The bed and pillows were incredibly comfortable. Also had afternoon tea and it was so cute and the food was good! Love the neighborhood for shopping, dining and proximity to museums. Everything was in walking distance or easily accessible with the metro
- 5/5
Wonderful stay after a flight cancellation - so much better than spending the night in the airport.
- 4/5
Overall stay was good, left wanting more.
- 5/5
Great historic hotel. Clean room.
- 2/5
Poor service at the bar and there were hardly any customers. One of two elevators were broken the entire weekend causing extended delays just to get up to and out of your rooms. Our window frame was broken so it sounded like you had an open window all night.
- 5/5
It was perfect !!! Staff was friendly and Hotel was quaint !!!
- 5/5
Restaurant had the best crab cake ever!
- 5/5
Great stay! Bed was comfortable, space was quaint and perfect for our needs. Perfect location as well!
- 5/5
Night manager and doorman are so super helpful The pretty girls at the front desk often do not know much, about parking and other basic hotel information. Was frustrating dealing with them, and looked for the manager for information
- 5/5
Would stay here again! Property was quaint with a small restaurant and bar. Room was spacious and updated even though the hotel was historic. This was so convenient to the convention center and area restaurants as well as metro.
- 4/5
Didnt like that the restaurant wasnt open all the time but the food and service was good. Overall we enjoyed our stay.
- 5/5
Good location, good price
- 3/5
Beautiful hotel. Our room faced the street and it was noisy. Vallet parking made it a breeze. Our room didnt have a hot shower.
- 4/5
The place was clean and comfortable but didn't have a fridge.
- 3/5
We were surprised at how small the room was after looking at the photos online. We were given a room that looked across the way at a brick wall, so that was kind of a bummer next time, I would specifically ask for a better view. The other issue is that they use very strong air fresheners and dollar store type smelling cleaners. I’m sensitive to those, so I had to sleep with my window open. But when we had an issue with the cooling system, they sent someone up in five minutes and had it fixed.
- 5/5
Great vintage hotel, great price, and they even let me check in early.
- 4/5
It's classy and with a historic vibe. I had a room with one queen bed. It was spotless and quiet but small, especially the bathroom and the closet areas. The bathroom needs a make mirror for sure.
- 4/5
I liked that it was walking distance from the train station.
- 5/5
Great stay
- 4/5
Air conditioner didn’t work so we were a bit warm to sleep at night.
- 5/5
Lovely stay at the Henley Park. Staff was excellent, room was nicely decorated, bed very comfortable, and a silly feature … great water pressure in the shower! Easy to walk to restaurants, cap one arena, shopping, metro.
- 3/5
Nothing at all
- 3/5
Elegent historical hotel within a 10-20 minute walk of most thing in downtown DC. Our room had issues with AC cooling and street noise but impression was likely had many nice rooms. Inside rooms away from the elevator might be best. No microwave or fridge in room. Bar is overpriced even for DC. We did not try the restaurant. Liked the location and ambience. Staff not particularly friendly but pleasant enough and responsive.
- 3/5
Noise noise noise... we were put in a room facing the street and the noise was insane!!! The bathroom small and the entire place is dated.
- 5/5
The hotel was very clean/comfortable. All of the staff were very friendly/accomodating. I did have one very minor issue with a window, but they came up to fix it right away. The bed was very comfortable. I had dinner in the restaurant, which was excellent). I would definitely go back there again.
- 4/5
We liked the hotel but it needs to be refreshed. We asked to get the heating right and I’m sure they tried but sometimes it blew hot air and other times it blew cold air so we got under the blankets and turned it off
- 4/5
My stay overall was great. The only downside was the tiny gym.
- 5/5
I told him I've been traveling they need it to go to bed I checked in at after 11:00 p.m. fire alarm went off at 6:00 a.m. because they're renovating the room next to me and they did not take the fire alarm system offline so the fire department came out and we had to evacuate the property. I was told I would be in a quiet area of the hotel it did not have a great view but it would be quiet. The renovation on the room next door was all day long cannot get any work or sleep in I didn't stay the second day I left I couldn't take it anymore. one elevator was down out of the two which created very long Waits to get it the other floors
- 4/5
Older property, great bed, clean bathroom, TERRIBLE WiFi. Business center was a joke. No free breakfast. Great location.
- 5/5
Classy vintage hotel love it!
- 5/5
The front desk is very efficient and helped with our issues.
- 4/5
There was no near parking. Too expensive for valet parking
- 4/5
It needs some upgrades. Staff very helpful and friendly. My room was very clean.
