    Omg from beginning to end it was horrible the place is like something out of a horror movie the lady at the front desk who said she was the manager was on her phone no greeting just yes Wht do you want? Because I guess they’re not use to having guess with class only the night walkers and drug users! Then the pool wasn’t available and it was 90• the pool was green the sheets had holes in them the AC was blowing warm air the microwave didn’t work in the room omg I can go on and on just don’t go to this hotel you’ve been warned!!

    Hotel is not clean, roaches in the breakfast area, fleas or bugs were in the room, and drug pushers and prostitutes seem to be on the backside hotel. Skip this place if you have kids or family.

    Didn’t like anything about the property false advertisement there’s no food bar there’s no breakfast bar. The swimming pool was closed. The lady in the office called the cops on my mom because she was walking around took a $200 deposit and I’m still waiting to get it back. I do not recommend this hotel to anybody. This is what we get for letting people come to our country and they think they’re better than us and they can treat us like shit. for the four days that my mother was there they didn’t clean the room, but one time the day before she left. It was garbage Booking.com you need to take this off of your website because it’s not what they tell you it is the staff and the owners. There are a joke. I’m contacting an attorney on Tuesday morning because they took a $200 deposit and call the cops on my mother for walking the premises. What a great place right I do not recommend this hotel to anybody.

    The room itself was clean and beds comfortable. The room was quiet. But the lock mechanism on my door would intermittently work and I got locked out 3 times and had to get my room key reprogrammed. Then the key machines went down and the concierge was as helpful as he could be. This wasn’t his fault at all. By the time I got back in, it was way past my intended bedtime. Also I had a pool view room and the pool was, uh, green and full of algae. Not clean at all. Not good to look at. I had a clean room and a poor concierge who did his best, but this was a cluster f.

    The pictures online are not the same as when you are actually there. The rooms are out dated. The bed sheets had yellow stain and cigarette burns. The pillows were flat. The shower curtain was fabric and bottom of it was yellow. The continental breakfast was almost non exsisting. There was a mini fridge was frozen croissants. And a few boxes of cereal. There was a container with peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. The juice machine had fruit flies all over it. We decided to have breakfast at the Waffle House everyday instead. Would not stay there again.

    Warning: do NOT stay in this dungeon. The staff at the front desk, while very friendly, could barely communicate in English - not a big deal. The property is another matter: the first thing I noticed was the grime and wear & tear everywhere. I could see daylight around the front door, stains on the walls, the table in the room had a broken leg and was just jammed against the wall, toilet seat was broken, burns on the tub, a towel bar barely hanging on, television wouldn’t work until I manually reset the controls and, most frustrating of all, NO ICE MACHINES. The complementary breakfast is pathetic. This hotel is a fleabag.

    The bed linen was extremely stained from urine, makeup and cigarette burn holes. It took over one hour to get replacement linen at 10 pm when we checked in. The morning breakfast was poor with hardly anything to choose from. When something ran out, they did not replenish. And forget taking an apple back to your room! A huge sign on the board, all food must be eaten there and the front desk will stop you at the front door when you carry out a snack. The weather was nice and hoped to sit at the pool. Well, the pool was green. We hoped to have a cocktail at the bar after work, well, the bar area is closed with all their supplies stores in this area. We has reserved and paid for a king bed 3 weeks in advance. The day we were to check in the front desk called to say, no king room available. A bag of trash sat in the parking lot near our room for 2 days. Overall, this was a very terrible experience. I am still waiting for the $100 mandatory deposit paid at check in to be refunded back to my credit card. Overall, steer clear.

    Property was very dirty, it had German roaches all over my room, and a white powder spilled all next to the entertainment stand. The bathtub did not work at all and to top it all off the pictures online looks nothing like how it actually is. For the most part i'm a low maintenance traveler but when literally nothing works and is also falsely advertised that's a problem.

    We had many issues with this property. Starting with them calling at 7 pm to see whether or not we were coming. Once we arrived, it was obvious it was not maintained in any way. The room they gave us had a large stain on the bed. When I asked for a different room the man at the front desk demanded I prove that there was an issue. The second room wasnt much better with cigarette burns on the pillowcases and gum stuck to the side of the nightstand. The ice machine was extremely loud and slow. As I was trying to use it, a worker emerged from the room across the hall and chided me for trying to use it. I told her it was working slowly. She closed the door but opened it twice more to tell me to stop. It was still making ice so I got as much as I could.

    The room was clean and smelled good. The woman front desk worker during the day attitude was not nice or friendly. Due to the way, she spoke to people she is very rude. The man front desk worker at night had the correct attitude. He was very nice and friendly. The pool was not open, yet. I am not sure if the Clarion Inn is pet-friendly or not because we did not have a pet and we did not hear or see anyone with pets.

    This was the second worst stay I have ever had. First the photos look NOTHING like in person. The room smelled, the linens were dirty and the comforter had a pee stain on it. Reception was not welcoming and no sugar or creamer in the coffee area. I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone. Some strange man even came knocking on our door saying he left a phone charger in our room. Worst experience!!!!

    The first step room I went into was awful and caulking everywhere. I would not have given this ring to nobody then I went into the second room and it had no heat. And there was other things like there was no plugs in either one of the wounds it was nasty, the food was not filling, I was very unsatisfied i told the at the desk , i would not have bought my animals to be here because it was so awful. I was looking forward to staying at the facility but I was very disappointed in the way. Things were, they had one person that worked there and they were helpful. But still I was told I should have never got that room and then the room last was not that great either.

    I recently stayed at the Clariton Inn and had an extremely disappointing experience. The hotel was very dirty, with bugs present in the room and noticeable stains on the walls. The bed sheets also had stains, which made the stay quite unpleasant. Despite being moved three times to different rooms, I was never properly accommodated, and the overall cleanliness was consistently poor. I would not recommend this hotel.

    The only positive was the bed was comfortable. Waited over 10 minutes to check in. There was a sign that said they stepped away, yet could hear someone talking in a room behind the desk. No one at desk for most of the stay. The lady was rude when she did come to the desk. No toilet paper in my room upon check in, had to come to the office and get it myself. Batteries were dying in the tv remote, they refused to replace them, so I had to buy new batteries. Bathroom was dirty. Paid for no smoking, room smelled of smoke and there were burn marks in the chair and tub also on toilet lid.

    There was no soap or shampoo in the bathroom, the baseplates for the standing light fixture were rusty, there was no ice bucket. The check-in front desk person, when I walked in the lobby, muttered in a negative voice, "Here comes another one." He was not really friendly, but did his job efficiently. I need to book a 5 night stay in Columbia beginning this weekend, but I will not book it in this hotel. Oh, and the drapes did not close completely, and I was on the ground floor, so my privacy was compromised.

    The room was disgusting. The shower curtain was moldy, tower rack was rusty, and there was a live cockroach in the tub when we arrived. There were nasty brown stains on the tub as well. There was a very loud and rude couple next door we could hear screaming at each other at 4:15 in the morning through the bathroom wall.

    I did not enjoy my stay here the front desk lady was rude, Because when I first arrived it was 3:30 nobody was at the front desk so I called and messaged in the app no response I waited 30mins, Then when I found her and explained it too her she told me no I wasn't I responded with I arrived at 3:30 and it is now 3:57, I also had a weeding rehearsal to attend to that day in which I was late for, once I checked in my room the sheets had stains on them so I laid on the top sheet with my covers, the heat wouldn't stay on constantly, The fridge wouldn't hold temperature my food was spoiled, The walls and ceilings had stains on them as well, I do not recommend

    I looked at the bed and the comforter was stained dirty and every single sheet on the bed had spots of stains. I immediately called the lady in the front and after I told her about the sheets being stained she kept repeating herself saying the bed is made the bed is made and she even hung up on me. I paid for a room I could not even stay in and the lady in the front who was there when I checked in and when I gave the key back said she was the manager. When you look on the wall to the left of the office it has a satisfaction promise that they will make it right if things are not satisfactory and they absolutely do not give that standard. They do not care and the price is not fair for what you get!

    My room was clean. My only issues was: mini fridge was frosted over with ice which prevented items from becoming cold, the light in the coffee maker didn't work and they could have left an extra roll of toilet paper since the one on the roll had about 1/4 left on the roll for two people. All in all a decent stay for what I paid.

    This hotel is horrible and the lady at the front desk is nasty and rude for no reason. She gave me a dirty room and when I told her it was dirty she replied, “Yeah, I know it’s only one house keeper and you can wait in the room.” Gave me another room but I decided to just go to another hotel. She refused to give me a waiver for a refund knowing that the room wasn’t ready and the condition of the hotel is subpar at best. DONT STAY HERE!!!!!!!

    I was very disappointed in this hotel after seeing the many reviews on this place I had addressed my concerns with hotel .com and hotel.com spoke to the hotel but I still had cockroaches running in the bathroom and my bed. With my daughter.when I spoke to manager about she send the housekeeper. I told her that it was nothing she could do hey need an exterminator to spray. I checked out and went to another hotel. I came for a happy time and this was a nightmare with this hotel!

    I booked a room here last minute, the photos looked like a decent hotel. The room was absolutely filthy. There was a hole in the bathroom wall that I could see into the ceiling through. I do not think this room has been cleaned not only for me but after multiple stays of other people, there were splatters all over the walls and doors. I got out of the shower and there was a cockroach crawling down the wall. Even if staying at a budget hotel, there should be a level of expected cleanliness. Someone tried opening my door around 1am. The curtains were covered in stains. It was missing furniture, and lamps. The shower curtain and towels were stained. I’m pretty sure the sheets were not fresh either. This is not a “3 star” hotel and I have no idea how they more than a 0 for reviews. This place is a health code violation, I have photos of everything and look forward to hearing back from you.

    The beds and pillows were comfortable. The room had dog food pieces on the floor. The curtains had stains on them, the bed cover had burn holes in it. There were only 2 towels, 1 wash rag, and 1 hand towel in a 2 queen bed room. there was 1/2 roll of toilet paper when we arrived. We asked to get more towels and they said they didn't have any. The pool was shut down by the health department.

    Horrible stay! In 50 years, ive stayed at many places, but never once til now did i truly want my money back. Staff was ridiculous. Had to wait 2 hrs to check in. Then the room they gave us was not cleaned. It had food and trash everywhere and all bed linens in a ball on the floor. Tried to call the desk and phone dont work. Walked back down stairs and informed desk. They didnt believe me. Then gave me another room 2 buildings away (3 building property). I refused, as i just carried all our luggage up the stairs and demanded a room near the first one. They gave me one below it then. This room smelled horrible, sheets were stained, wall had blood stains, blanket had cig burns. Wife brushed her teeth and it took literally 6 hrs for the water to drain down the sink. When we showered we stood in ankle deep dirty water. Went in the office for the advertised breakfast. They had nothing and the desk woman was fighting with a vagrant to leave. The vagrant was hungry. We coukdnt wait to leave. Expedia needs to refund us for this joke of a stay.

    This room was disgusting there wrre burn holes in the sheets and covers in a non smoking room curtains had something nasty on them you couldnt even close them and worst of all was the bed the sheets had dried something on them they were dirty and under the fitted sheet there was food all over the mattress i would not recommend this place

    First day house keeping walks into the room after I declined housekeeping since it was the first day I was there. House keeping yelled at me for declined the service. Now I only stayed for about 8 days and I had to go to the front desk 5 times for new room keys. There’s almost never anyone at the front desk. You CAN NOT take breakfast to your room (Jimmy Dean breakfast sandwiches/cereal) I asked for extra towels twice only for house keeping to have NONE the entire 8 days no clean towels. Only had 3 lights and the room was dark unless the windows were open. I only stayed here because everything else was booked. Will never stay here again.

    We needed help getting into our room, the card reading lock was in disrepair and opening it every time took several minutes. The deadbolt did not close. Blackout curtains were very effective but covered in stains. The floor lamp didn't work and bedside table lamp was missing a lightbulb. There was some sort of ongoing beeping outside the entirety of our stay that sounded like it might have been an anti-homeless deterrent that we could hear all night over the air conditioner. We would stay again if we found ourselves in Columbia needing lodging, as prices were more than reasonable and none of the issues we had were serious enough to need a room change. The fact that the staff were kind to a lesbian couple with one trans partner carries a lot of weight for us, especially in times like these. If you are LGBTQ, in need of affordable lodgings, and can look over a few relatively inconsequential maintenance issues, the Airport Clarion is worth your consideration.

    When I got there, he was watching TV or something and it took a minute for him to come to the desk, the room was gross, dirty towels, torn up chair, blanket with holes in it, & it smelled like cigarette smoke! e, The air conditioner did not work properly.

    The bed and the hot water works fantastic but the entire Hotel was old and run down. They really shouldn't advertise breakfast because it consisted of off-brand cereal and muffin, juice and milk, coffee and yogurt.

    I would never recommend this place to anyone, had to stay because every other hotel was booked. Terrible service, when we told front desk staff that the room was dirty and the chairs were halfway broken she told us “oh okay I’ll have the Mexicans go and do it”. Which they never did, had to go to Walmart to purchase towels because all there towels were dirty and when we asked for new clean ones they did not have any at all. They stopped answering are calls when we had a problem or we found something wrong with the room, half the lights didn’t work. They said the area we got was non smoking but people were smoking marijuana. I would love to get a complete refund because the experience was overall terrible and I hope no one ever stays there. Also there was another visitor staying and she was yelling at the staff because they stole her beers, which made us believe they stole our stuff as well. DO NOT DTAY HERE!

    The front desk has a nasty attitude so if you even ask her to replace your car because it is an active she will get an attitude. I extended my stay due to Hurricane Helen and a front desk elderly woman stated because you stayed pass three days we will not clean your room. The gym lights don't work so you work out in the dark and the breakfast area only has one lamp. So everything in the breakfast room is basically eating in the dark. So please don't stay here.

    I have stayed at this hotel in the past and it was very nice, clean and nice place to stay. This time was the total opposite with the new owners/management they were rude, there was mold spores on the chairs, TV remote not working, my shower wasn't working properly. I told them that the shower wasn't working and they wouldn't move me to a different room after I asked to be moved. I was told by the owner no they didn't have available rooms and the other desk clerk told me yes. They were supposed to send their maintenance guy to fix and they never came to fix it. When I confronted them the following morning when I went to check out the owner got very nasty with me about it. She told me, "Well if you were so unhappy with your stay you could have came and asked for a refund and I would have gave you your money back. I don't need your money and I would give you a full refund." I told her ma'am we are in a state of emergency due to the hurricane and I can't go home because I don't have any lights or running water and I have kids. She told me that is not my problem and that she doesn't need my money. That was uncalled for considering no one had lights or running water due to the hurricane and everyone was seeking shelter. I also witnessed them being rude, disrespectful and inconsiderate to everyone. Please DO NOT stay at this hotel unless it is a last result.

    I went to this property to stay over it’s for a wedding I was attending. My room was filthy. The bedspread had holes in it, the white sheets were gray ( they should have been white) the towels in the bathroom were dirty and one looked like it had a booger on it. When I asked the front desk for a clean room. The man at the desk got mad and said I need to stay at the Hampton refunding my money. I have never cared if a property was old I just want clean. This place is far from clean and the male older man has a nasty attitude.

    One night stay .paid for shuttle to and from airport. That never showed up .tried phoning hotel no answer ended up getting taxi to hotel .when asked about shuttle was informed the bus was broken when i informed them i messaged them to arrange time pick got no response told i paid for shuttle told to speak to manager in morning as not much they could do with regard refund

    I'm staying here for a few days because of the low price and was fooled by the pictures. The pictures that are here when you look up this location most are not from here. They look nice with great dining, pool, & rooms. But that's not the case. Ran down dining with no breakfast, pool area needs work, no security, rooms need lot of work and cleaning to bring them back up to par. If you're just looking for a cheap room to get off the road and don't care about good conditions, it is for you.... I wasn't going to add more until one of the managers came banging on my room door last night, wanting me to leave and take down my review because they saw this review...I would like to take away all the 1 stars I gave and put 0 stars on here

    Check in was at 3 we arrived at 3:30 and no one was at the front desk we waiting 20 minutes and no one came we called the number on the sign 3 times first two times someone answered and hung up then the third time person final spoke and had an attitude that I was calling to see where anyone was so we could check in. Room was disgustingly dirty, no toilet paper or towels. Carpet looked like it’s never been vacuumed and sheets had black marks all over with blood stains. Toilet was dirty mold all in the bathroom all over shower curtain and what looked like urine and blood on the walls. Run away do not stay here

    Well the time I spent was okay. The bathroom had a smell of mold really strong one. Most of what I did not like was the staff rude Mexican lady. I moved out the room early and sat outside with my things that I just couldn’t fit in the car. Waited for a friend to come. Not taking up space just a parking spot. She calls my phone and says “ why is your junk still here” I tell her it’s not junk that I’m leaving now. She said “ I’m going to charge you for staying over” I wasn’t even I. Th e room never went back after checking out. Then I left got a few bag went to a near my store. Came back just to make sure I won’t be charged seeing as I wasn’t in the room. She was so rude called me a liar and yelled at me. Poor service at its finest. But they ended up giving me my deposit. But crappy people.

    Sink was plugged up. Rug was not vacuumed. Bar soap remnant left in drain from previous guest. Bathroom door was severely paint chipped. It was also water damaged and wood was delaminating. Two dirty floss picks left at nightstand. While on bedspread. Guest seat had gross stain on it. TV didn’t work. Morning breakfast bar was a joke. No fresh food. Cereal hadn’t been refreshed. Condiments were mostly empty. I wouldn’t let my dog finish what was left. Orbits rated this 3-1/2 stars but I rate it a zero. I checked out and went somewhere else. I hope I can get a refund for the last night I didn’t stay. That is if anyone reads this review.

    This was so gross we took one step in the room and walked right back out and booked a room at another hotel. It reeked of smoke which was not ok since I requested a non smoking room due to my daughter having chronic lung disease, the beds appeared dirty, and there was a roach crawling on the side table. Staff also informed us there was no hot water. We told them we wanted a refund due to the conditions and that we would not be staying there. Still have not received any money back and this was 3 weeks ago. Do not stay here!

    I booked this hotel expecting the basics. The first room I was in had mould all over the wall next to the closet, the Tv didn’t work and when I tried to phone the front desk the phone wouldn’t work either and there was someone’s leftover takeout in the fridge. The gentleman at the front was very polite and apologetic and switched me rooms. The next room the TV did not work and there was one pillow with black stains on it. I tried to shower but the water was luke warm at best. The next morning the woman at the counter stated that they were having problems with a lot of the TVs and that to get hot water we should have let it run for 10 minutes first. Very unfortunate.

    Horrible experience the ONE staff person they have is the rudest nastiest person I have ever dealt with. Not only did she just walk into my room whenever she felt like it I wasn't given towels or tissue or a vacuum for the entire month I was there . I don't understand how choice allows her to work for them. I'm not the only one who had issues with her.she had me in tears several times. Choice do better get rid of that miserable woman!±

    DO NOT stay here. We arrived 11pm after driving the entire day, had booked 2 rooms for a family of 7. Check-in was easy. Soon after we entered our 1st-floor rooms, my son came running from his room - he pulled back the sheets and found 2 spiders in the bed. We then checked our beds and there were also spiders, including a web behind one pillow against the headboard! Spiders were found nearly everywhere!! Skinny little things but still. We packed back up, complained, and were given 2 new rooms on the 2nd floor. [While we waited, a couple was also given a new room, no idea why. After we were serviced, the man behind us complained that there was no water.] We inspected carefully and didn't find spiders so we agreed to stay since it was so late. My son realized he didn't have water with him and went to the vending machine - he selected water and was given an expired Fanta - the office exchanged it for water. After we settled and were about to go to bed, my son texted a photo of a roach on the lamp beside his bed. At this point we were so exhausted and it was after midnight so I told him and all to check for bugs once more before going to bed, all food in fridge, etc. and we slept without known issue. In the morning we saw that the towel across the tub was heavily stained, and the towels on the rack were completely worn with holes. We decided to just leave and be done with this place. Bought our own breakfast. Check recent reviews not just the rating - lesson learned!

    Where do I start? The first issue I had was check-in. I sat in the lobby for about 25 minutes before anybody came to the check-in desk. The first room I received was utterly unsanitary. It was filled with flies and it smelled like old cigarettes. I requested another Room, I was moved to a different level of the establishment. The new room was slightly better, but I noticed dead bugs on the walls. I was only in town for one night so I gave the room the old college try,before turning into Sleep I noticed a roach run across the adjacent bed! It was late, so I didn’t even change out of my clothes and I tried to go to sleep unfortunately, I wasn’t able to sleep comfortably and could not wait until daybreak to leave that establishment as fast as I could. and I will most definitely never stay at one of those accommodations ever again!

    Disgusting room not cleaned found pupic hair and feces on the toilet seat. Sheets were stained and had cigarette burns and probably bed bugs . I did see fleas so be warned don't stay here and they take money and make up stuff. Most Disgusting hotel well more like roach hotel. Had to burn my clothes and bathe in bleach . I should be given a refund!!!

    easy check in, but after requesting the 1st floor and receiving a 2nd floor,our 2 keys did not work went down and got anew one and again did not work. Called FD . My coffee pot did not work,my Refrigerator did not work and on the 2nd night the AC did not work. We did not get any attention until the 3rd night when I called and complained,there was no way I was staying in that room another night it was extremely hot. We got moved to the room next door Where the room was not extremely hot But cool.Considering we were returning home in the morning I didn’t want to bother with it,During my stay i was out mostly all day just returning to shower and sleep.the purpose of my visit to South Carolina was to visit my son who was graduating basic trading at Ft. Jackson. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.Ican not believe the audacity of the hotel owner who checked me out asking me for a great review… asking if I had my iPhone she can help me, I am not the one for confrontation so I just smiled, said ok… and walked out. The environment was horrible.I believe there are people actually living in some of the units where there was some of what I believed to be illegal activity … My family and I witnessed the Police Department along with the fire department banging down the door believing there was a squatter there… Guns out… and bullet proof vest … scary …. It was the worst hotel stay I have ever experienced… I don’t know who to complain to but I would really like a full refund…
