Very quite neighborhood but close to main activities. Good size room and amenities. The downside was the bath room, very small, limited space for toiletries, etc although the shower box has a good size. Limited space to park on the street at night and the hotel parking was $70/night. Ouch!

Nice big room, friendly staff, rooftop pool was nice. You have to specifically request housekeeping to come and clean your room, they don’t do it automatically. Laundry services very expensive, we were relying on this but couldn’t afford it, we had to find a different laundry service in West Hollywood.

Love the friendly staff. The Chamberlain only cleans your room if you specifically ask for it. I asked for it to be done at 10am each day. It was not. Each day I had to ask the front desk to tidy up my room. One of the perks of staying in a decent hotel is to return at the end of the day to a clean room. I find it odd that the Chamberlain has decided to cut corners in this department.

My stay at the Chamberlain West Hollywood was super! I was in LA for a quick weekend and wanted a small boutique hotel with a sunny pool that was easily accessible to downtown LA. The entire facility was spotless, the staff was charming and helpful (especially Ramesh at the front desk) and my room was massive. The neighborhood was walkable with many food options and I was able to utilize the city bus system to get to my events downtown. When I first arrived I was unable to get service at the hotel restaurant for lunch because it was unstaffed. However it was very easy to find alternative neighborhood restaurants. Also even with my sleep sounds machine I could hear the VERY loud snoring guest next-door though the wall.

Beautiful and clean hotel in an excellent location. Staff were helpful and friendly. Our room was huge, quiet and very comfortable. Located in a safe pocket, within walking distance to restaurants, cafes, supermarkets and shopping. Would stay here again! Expensive overnight parking, but that seems to be standard in the area. We found all night street parking a 10 minute walk away.

The rooms are spacious and comfortable, but the hotel is definitely due for a refresh. The carpets have an odor, and there’s noticeable wear and tear throughout — from burned-out bulbs to worn doors and fixtures in the lobby. At check-in, I was told the restaurant was open until 3pm, but when I arrived around 2:30, they said they were already closing. Fortunately, they still made me a to-go meal, which was delicious.

Excellent hotel, will repeat for sure. Big suite rooms, heated pool on the rooftop and very kind staff. Breakfast was very expensive. Don’t seem to have housekeeping service daily, during our check in asked us if we wanted daily housekeeping to which we said yes, on the first day no one appeared to clean the room. Had to ask twice and still they just went and left new towels on top of the bed….. For a 5 stars hotel I was not expecting

But... no one told me at checkin that I had to request my room to be cleaned. For such prices I would expect better. And, parking is VERY expensive per night. Like more than I paid for my car rental. Insane. So the Expedia price didn't reflect thst or the also expensive and unexpected "hotel fee" whatever that that is. Finally, I was going to order guac and chips by room service and was willing to pay $19. but I am glad I read the fine print: delivery fee of $7 plus 6.5% tax and 7% some other BS charge. Crazy.

Recently renovated, the Chamberlain is a West Hollywood hotel in a residential neighborhood two blocks off Sunset Blvd. Deluxe Suite has a spacious sitting area, separated by a curtain from the comfortable king bedroom. Balcony was nice, but perhaps not worth the upgrade price. Lovely front desk staff. Downstairs dining was small but the breakfast food was delicious and beautifully presented. Rooftop pool is small and only 5 ft deep, but had great nighttime view over LA. Good coffee gratis, and refreshing ice water in lobby. Bathroom was small and a bit dark, but fine. No bathtub.

The location is great - easy to walk to sunset, attend The Comedy Store, etc. Parking there made it easy to access other parts of the city as Sunset and Santa Monica Drive are close. The beds are soft, and the rooftop pool is a great place to have your morning coffee. Rooms are very spacious! The Deluxe suite does NOT have any type of view - the photos are deceptive and photoshopped. I asked the front desk and they said all rooms at the Deluxe room level all face the wall. Yes our view was essentially a wall. It's like a ten foot gap between your window and the north wall of the building. No furniture on the patio. No bottles water is provided unless you want to pay like $7 for an Evian. There's no tea either, only 2 coffee pods - pretty stingy. There is free coffee in the bar each morning though which is nice. If you park you have to pay a $70 USD/day valet fee. Two of the three nights the pool was drained but we could still sit on the rooftop - if you're interested in the pools it's best to call ahead of time.

I checked into the hotel at approximately 11:50 PM. Within about 20 minutes, I discovered multiple issues: the USB charging ports in the room were not working, and there was visible sand on the carpet, indicating the room was not properly cleaned. At around 12:15 AM, I went to the front desk and informed them that I was not satisfied with the room and would not be staying. The staff verbally assured me that a refund would be processed. However, the hotel later declined the refund, and I was charged $500 for a stay that lasted no more than 20 minutes. I did not use the room beyond briefly inspecting it, and I relied on the hotel’s assurance that I would be refunded. Charging the full amount under these circumstances is unreasonable and unfair.

The valet staff were rude and extremely slow, which was especially frustrating given the high valet fee. The walls are paper-thin; I could clearly hear the guest next door coughing and the person above me blasting music and stomping around. I had to switch rooms, yet both rooms had gnats/flies. One of the two elevators was also out of service (I was told this has happened before), and the remaining elevator was very slow and jolted hard when stopping, which felt unsafe. For the price of the stay—and the expensive valet—I would recommend staying at one of the sister properties instead, as they appear to be better managed and more efficient.

We stayed in a studio suite with a fireplace and balcony, and it was incredibly spacious and comfortable. Best of all, it was super quiet, which is very important to us — a rare find in this area. We loved the bar, which doubles as a coffee service in the mornings, and the rooftop pool was perfect for both sunrise and sunset. The staff was warm and welcoming, greeting us at check-in with their signature champagne cocktail, which immediately set the tone for the stay. Charming, comfortable, and thoughtfully run — we would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it.

This was my second stay at the Chamberlain WH. It's in a great location for walking around in WeHo and easy drive to Beverly Hills and other nearby places. The property itself is nice, the staff was very friendly and helpful. The rooms are very large, with a separate sitting area with a couch, table, chair and large screen tv. The bathroom is large as well. The room was clean, but some of the fixtures and finishes are starting to show some wear and tear. Obviously, some of this is natural, but I believe I noticed that on my first stay around 18 months ago. Also, while located in a quiet area, the doors slamming in the hallways and people talking loudly does seem to bleed into the room. Not sure what can be done about that. My hearing isn't the best, but it is never fun to be woken up at 1:30 am to someone knocking loudly at a door nearby because he/she didn't have a key or whatever the situation is. That's not the hotel's fault necessarily either. In any event, a nice stay, if not a bit pricey, but for what I needed on this trip it worked out well.

Working elevators, bathroom doors that actually close and conceal (forget about any ways to lock it) sinks that drain, and steps inside the room that doesn't cave in would be the bare minimum a hotel for this price should provide and guarantee. Plus, house keeping service is only provided when booked in advanced. They claimed that this info was given at check-in but, I don't think so. Then, the staff tries to clean your room when "privacy" sign is hung AND we are on late check out. We had four occupants and they only provide three sets of towels. Even after requesting an additional set, only three sets are replenished after housekeeping service is done. The one working elevator was extremely tiny, slow and jerky. Any Expedia Gold perks must be requested, including late check outs and drinks for each occupants.

I really enjoyed my stay at this charming boutique hotel tucked just off the Sunset Strip — such a great location in a lovely neighborhood. The only downside was having to use valet parking and pay a nightly fee instead of self-parking, which I found a bit inconvenient at first. However, the valet team completely won me over — especially Enrique, who was always friendly, attentive, and genuinely kind. His great attitude made coming and going a pleasure. Overall, a wonderful stay in a beautiful spot.

Since my last stay, they’ve stopped daily room cleaning. Apparently you have to stay at the hotel a minimum of 4 nights in order to “deserve” this basic hotel amenity. They also seem to be trying to save money and have switched to a crappy 1-ply toilet paper. Cutting corners at the guests expense.

Very nice room and hotel is perfectly located for a weekend in West Hollywood. Our only gripe was the couple with small boys staying above us that let them run and jump back and forth for hours over our heads when we were trying to rest and the staff would not even contact them and ask them to quiet down.

Everything was great except the hotels weird policy only to clean the room on the third day of your stay. Towels didn’t get changed and our garbage pails were full. It’s post Covid. If I wanted to stay at a place were they don’t make the bed or bring fresh towels I’d stay at an air BNB Nice hotel. Nice staff. But. We arrived on Saturday and they cleaned our room Tuesday. Not a good policy if you want to be considered a top hotel.

I can't say enough good things about this place! The staff were super friendly and accommodating. The location was perfect for us in a quiet residential neighbourhood with a short walk to the Sunset Strip and Santa Monica Blvd and a Trader Joe's 5 minutes away for supplies. The room was AMAZING! So spacious and immaculately clean. Roof-top pool was awesome. Free coffee in the mornings was a nice little bonus. The only negative thing I can say is that our room had a door for the option of conjoining rooms and the soundproofing was not great. (Although it may just have been a family of loud talkers and a kid who screamed a lot!)

Upon arrival the workers were extremely friendly. Unfortunately once we got to our room there were qtips, hair ties, crumbs all over the floor & near the beds. The bathrooms weren’t clean either. We had some snacks delivered in the evening and when we went to open the fridge there was OLD FOOD, the STUNK the whole room up for the whole evening. We requested another room and apparently none were available. All they did was come to the room and remove the old food from the refrigerator, not clean it nor get rid of the smell.

Pretty property and lovely staff, just not a place for people with sensory issues. The sheets are polyester blend (so hot), synthetic fill pillows and robe, and they have installed motion detection light switches which cause lights to go on in the middle of the night (different color temperatures). I travel a good bit and am a bit of a snob when it comes to hotels. This hotel is such a gem!!! Is set a little bit off the busy streets so it’s quiet but so many great places you can walk to easily. Our room was like a mini apartment with the sunken den, large bedroom bath and dressing room. The restaurant was excellent for great coffee and afternoon snacks. We loved all the valet guys (it’s a little pricy to park overnight)! We will definitely stay again!

Loved the area. Close to the tar pits, academy museum. Room was wonderful. The only negative was the expensive hotel parking (65 a night no self parking only valet on the property) and add ons (taxes, fees, city worker protection fee, urban amenity fee, etc. and etc.) that amounted to over 450. (it did include one meal for two in their modest restaurant.). The additional fees turned a three nights stay from 900 to almost 1400. For that reason we will not be staying there again.

My problem was with the cleanliness in bathroom and pool area. In the bathroom the shower glass needed a better cleaning job, there was something black on the tile back wall. The vents on the bath fan was almost covered in lint. We went out to the pool area about 8pm and every where to sit had food utensils, cups, silverware etc around all lounges in cabanas. This was very unacceptable in a hotel of that supposed caliber. As far as staff, the valet, check-in/ out, restaurant/ bar people were excellent. I had no encounter with food. I filled my coffee mug with coffee and had my water container filled.

Great location! Quiet street with beautiful trees and gardens. Short walk to Trader Joe’s at the end of the street. A 10 min walk to the sunset strip with lots of cafes/restaurants. A short uber ride to Hollywood Blvd and Beverley Hills. We stayed in a One Bedroom Signature Residence (Recently Renovated). Family of 4, two kids aged 12 & 15. The kids slept on the sofa bed and said it was comfortable. The layout of the room was great. I particularly liked the large bench & mirror outside of the bathroom where we could place our toiletries. I could also do my makeup & hair there without occupying the bathroom. Two complimentary bottles of water daily. Complementary coffee in the restaurant in the morning. Loved the heated rooftop outdoor pool, great view of the city. There is bar near the pool and a fire-pit that you can ask the staff to light. Now for the minor negatives. The rooms are serviced daily, however the day after our arrival, the staff forgot to clean our room. Although, when we called reception for fresh towels, they promptly sent some up. The rest of the days, our rooms were cleaned. However, towels seemed to be an issue every day except one day, as we only received 2 bath towels for a family of 4. We just collected fresh towels from reception on our way back from outings. The only other thing I will say about the room there is a kitchenette, however no dishes/cutlery. Although, the restaurant will happily provide you with cutlery. Would definitely stay here again!

At the time of booking, there was no information on Wotif about scheduled pool maintenance, and had we known, we could have booked other nearby hotels—many of which were cheaper but without pools. We chose this one because of the pool feature, and that amenity was unavailable throughout our stay. I raised the issue with the hotel reception, but they said they couldn’t assist since the booking was made through Wotif, and directed me to follow up with Wotif .

Hotel was in a great location and overall the staff was friendly. The hotel is dated and is understaffed. There were leaks in the hotel ceiling lobbies and most of the restaurants and bars were not open all day. The hotel suggested we eat meals at the adjoining hotel, which I’ve never encountered before. The elevators were also not working and the hotel lost power a few times throughout our stay. The rooms are dated but provided a great view of the ocean. I would not stay again because I know there are better hotels out there.
