Restaurant and valet staff were excellent. Front desk staff lacked desire to make sure we were satisfied with the room situation. More interested in putting us in a room that suited the hotels desire and not the guest.

Perfect weekend spot.

This is always our first choice of places to stay in Los Angeles. It's calm, relaxing, private and feels like family. The villas are immaculate and well designed.

One pool was closed. The hotel is old and needs an update.

Jesse at the front desk was extraordinary

Great location, however we were placed in a room at the front of the property and the outside noise was incredibly loud overnight (loud bass music from parked cars outside). We called the front desk and security didn’t seem to want to address this. A bit disappointing for such a well reviewed hotel. Rooms were ok

The staff was very helpful when we checked in and checked out, the room was spacious and clean, and the bed was very comfortable, affording us a very good night's rest.

Good location. Walking distance or short ride-share to a lot of places. Front desk staff and concierge team was super friendly and helpful. Very spacious suites in the main building. Service/food/drinks at the main restaurant were great. The valet team charged my electric car for me.

The staff and location were wonderful. The room was spacious, comfortable and stylish, like an apartment in West Hollywood.

One thing I would say is there is no self parking really, so be prepared to pay seventy bucks a night for valet. And the property of this caliber should have a hot tub, and this one did not.I was very disappointed but I should have checked on that myself before I booked.

Sunset marquis was one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed at. I just came from from south beach Miami and stayed at a bunch of 4 star hotels nothing nothing compared.The friendly staff/ bartenders were beyond unconditional hospitality. I’ve worked in hospitality for 10+ years and I had an absolute fantastic stay!

The staff was amazing, the room was super clean and comfortable and I would definitely recommend this hidden jewel to the discerning traveler!

Staff was excellent, and we really enjoyed our stay. The only downside was that the restaurant was unable to split checks for dinner among our group.

The Sunset Marquis is just amazing. The staff went above and beyond with their service. The room was large, there was more than enough room for us and all of our luggage. The bed and pillows are amazing. I slept so good while we stayed there. The grounds are so beautiful. There is a koi pond and the short walking paths are just done up so beautifully. I loved everything about our stay at the Sunset Marquis. I will definitely be staying at the Sunset Marquis every time we come back to West Hollywood.

Big comfy rooms you can spread out in. Slightly dated decor but that didn’t bother us. Everything was clean and tidy. A couple of excellent bars/restarants. A super helpful but easy going team. And a location that was perfect for any exploration of the city. A great place to come ‘home’ to every night. I’ll be back to visit!

Excellent amenities, staff and room was clean. Stayed at a different hotel up street later that week for another event and wished I stayed at Sunset Marquee one more time. Great food at restaurant. Only wish was the second pool was completed.

The hotel was super welcoming and the staff wonderful. The hotel has some renovations underway so one pool was closed. Once everything is back open and you can have the full renovated experience it will be full 5 stars I’m sure.

Despite the fact a transformer near the property went down at 2:00am because of the storm, and EDISON didn’t get it up an running until 5:00pm the management at Sunset Marquis did everything in their power to make sure our stay and everyone else’s stay was the best under the circumstances. Beautiful room and excellent amenities within room with I crdibel amount of space. Towels and linen were lovely quality and staff could not be faulted. We stayed in 5 hotels and 3 air bnb’s throughout the US and this was by far our favourite mainly due to the incredible staff, the service and care was wonderful. We had lunch at Chateau Marmont and while totally delicious the staff there should visit Sunset to see how excellent customer care and service is done. The grounds, the room and the restaurant were everything we could have hoped for, thankyou Sunset Marquis team :)

I love the Sunset Marquis and I’ve been staying there for over 10 years. It used to be PERFECT though some things have changed over the last few years in a less optimal way; perhaps new ownership/ management.. but maybe it is to save $

Grounds were beautiful. Service was top notch.

Desc table service is brilliant! Valet parking guys are all nice and very fast with a car. Very helpful and always positive vibes. The restaurant is outstanding – stylish atmosphere with incredibly delicious food. All people who work there are so nice and helpful. It was so nice when a waiter took care about me with mosquitos spray. The panna cotta was especially unforgettable! The bar is also excellent, offering a relaxed and refined vibe with special and unique people. It’s my favorite spot for a staycation – the perfect place to disconnect from the outside world and enjoy top-notch service. Every time I’m in Los Angeles, I stay only here. This hotel has truly become my go-to!

Great service and amenities in a calm tree lined oasis less than a block off Sunset. Team is attentive & friendly, the beds are incredibly comfortable & the food is excellent -my favorite place to stay in WeHo.

The only thing I didn’t like were people smoking outside the front entrance as you walked in. The smell and smoke were not pleasant.

Sunset Marquis is the best hotel we’ve stayed in - ever. It’s beautiful, clean, conveniently located, great food and service. We felt like very well taken care of the entire time. Not to mention the very cool history of this hotel. We will most definitely stay here again next time we’re in LA.

Amazing food, the staff is beyond friendly, and the bed is super comfortable. You also feel like you’re outside of the city, even though you’re in the heart of West Hollywood.

Incredible experience and hotel! From the moment we arrived, the entire staff were friendly and welcoming. We were traveling with our newborn and they took great care of us providing us with a great room. If we could give this an extra star we would. Highly recommend and will be back.

A wonderful time

I cannot speak highly enough of the staff at Sunset Marquis! We stayed for a night following a nearby concert and once we arrived I knew we should have booked a longer stay. The check in staff was exceptional. They were friendly, kind, funny, and even offered us drink vouchers for the bar. They educated us on the property and asked about our interests, they then recommended different areas for us to check out within the property based on our answers. The room was spacious, and even with it being right off the pool, it was quiet and relaxing. The bathroom was clean and the shower was amazing. The bed was comfortable. We are already looking forward to our next stay!

This hotel is a hidden gem, just off Sunset Blvd, but you wouldn't know it. It was like walking into an oasis. I was there after a VERY long day and was quite tired. The staff at the front noticed and said I had a room by the pool, but they were going to give me a nicer upgrade to a very quiet room in a section of the hotel in the back. WOW. They didn't have to do that, and I had a fabulous quiet room and a great night sleep, thanks to Sandrine and Josh!!! And the next morning, Jessie at the front desk was great too. Everything here is first class, and I highly recommend.

Without a doubt, one of the best hotels in LA.

The room was spacious and my wife amd I lkved the new technogy in the room (especially the heated toulet seat)!! It was far enough away from Hollywood Blvd that we were able to get good sleep but close enough to all the action that we were just minutes away. Additionally the people at valet parking were extremely friendly and helpful. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for an upscale place to stay at a very affordable rate!

It's truly an oasis of calm right in the middle of West Hollywood. The location is great! It's just below the Sunset Strip, but far enough removed where you don't hear the noise of that lively area. It's within walking distance of a lot of places. (Granted, I'm a New Yorker, so walking is a preferred mode of getting around and longer distances don't bother me.) I also like the size of this hotel. I would describe the hotel as medium size, but it feels pretty intimate. It's not a high rise, so you don't get grand views of LA, but the lush landscaping makes for a calming environment. The rooms are great too. This time I upgraded to one of their Villa rooms and I loved it. Previously I stayed in two room suites in the main hotel building and those rooms are great, but the Villa rooms are exceptional. If you can swing it, I highly recommend getting a villa room. The staff is incredibly helpful and nice. I received a lot of help from Sara and Logan. They were both so incredibly friendly, but all the staff was great.

The staff was friendly and efficient. We had one issue with the mini fridge in the room. But Teresa in housekeeping was very helpful. The valets were super fast in getting our car every time. We will be back

Accommodation was as advertised with separate bedroom and comfy bed, two tv’s, coffee maker and double balcony. The room had plenty of space, nice enough bathroom although I don’t like shower curtains. Breakfast was above average in a lovely restaurant. Some parts of the hotel require a little upgrading but overall we had an excellent stay in the Sunset Marquis and would definitely return.

This boutique, family-owned hotel has both charm and plush amenities (robes, slippers, ample bath products, etc.). There is an "old world" touch with guest features as well as more modern approach to room decor and facilities. The staff is very well trained and courteous. It feels very different than upscale chain hotels such as 1 Hotel, Ritz Carlton or Four Seasons. Much more personal.

Over The Top!

This property is a hidden gem just moments away from the downtown bustle of Hollywood. Built into a hill on several acres, it is really spectauclar!

We loved everything about this hotel. The staff is wonderful. Our room was perfect, comfortable living/dining space, 2 TVs, beautiful bathroom with soaking tub, the nicest bedding, The grounds are lovely with an outdoor restaurant/bar we are missing already! Music history art is everywhere. We will happily choose this again on our next trip to LA.

My old boss used to say he couldn’t afford not to fly first class. I say you can’t afford not to stay at the Sunset Marquis. Maybe one day I will just move in… I would be far from the first.

It’s an oasis discreetly tucked in the midst of busy West Hollywood. Even though only mere feet off of Sunset, one could be convinced they just walked into a resort in the tropics. The back property layout creates a sense of privacy unrivaled in LA. The rooms are crisply furnished but still comfortable. The wonderful restaurant, Cavatina, on its open patio surround with mature greenery, serves consistently fantastic fare. There’s also a newly remodeled spa, the legendary Whiskey Bar and a photo gallery on site. A treat every time.

As always the staff at SM blew us away. It started with a free room upgrade and gorgeous villa that was immaculate and so comfy! This was our 4th time staying at SM and we can’t wait to come back again.

The property has a great vibe to it, being low rise and spread out over 3 acres. The two pools are great and getting a seat was never a problem. Our room in the mail part of the hotel was had a large sitting area and was great for sleeping, being very quiet, with great blackout curtains and a comfortable bed. They are in the process of renovating the rooms, but even though ours was not yet renovated it was perfectly fine. We were both very happy with our stay here.

The villas are outstanding. The dining area feels jungle-esque. Quiet and seclude. Boutique. Close enough to walk everywhere. Caution! Freshly squeezed OJ $15 a glass. Delicious, in fact best I’ve tasted but top dollar! Friendly staff. Would recommend this place over any corporate hotel chain.
