Wingate by Wyndham - Wilmington

I brought towels with me for the trip, One of them happen to be white. I had it in my bag. The housekeeper took my towel out of my bag thinking it belongs to the hotel. If she looked at it CLEARLY, it didn't. My thoughts is don't go through people's belongings. I wouldn't take towels from a hotel and Im sure there are people who do

We killed two roaches in our room!!!!! Not happy as a person that doesn’t have them at home, it was disturbing

I picked this hotel because it had a cycle in the exercise room. I need that after 15 knee surgeries. However, the hotel is fairly new, well maintained, in a convenient location and I enjoyed my stay. It will be my choice when next over there. I have big clients in Wilmington.

Everything was nice and check in/ out was easy.

The staff was friendly. The hotel was clean. The room was nice but there was limited body wash and tissues.

The air conditioning didn’t get cooler than 66 degrees but we managed. The staff was great. The breakfast area was clean and the food was fresh.

The internet and TV worked very well, the breakfast was excellent and free, and you met my request for a quiet room. We slept very well on your comfortable bed, which we needed after three nights at a loud and an inferior Marriott in Norfolk! Thank you! Nothing.

Liked the service, the free breakfast, cleanliness, and comfortable pillows and bed. Jacqueline at the desk was very helpful. I told her I loved the pillows and she said they sold pillows at the hotel. I ended up buying two pillows.

The staff were very friendly and helpful with any and all questions. The staff did a good job with cleanliness. The location itself is a short drive to the beach and downtown Wilmington.

The bed was awesome

Room nice, bed comfy. Continental breakfast was good, not the healthiest, but adequate. Appreciated the fruit. People at the desk were kind and welcoming. We felt safe. My niece found a small spider in her bed when turning back the covers - otherwise it was fine - nice and clean. Prices seemed a bit increased the weekends in May when graduations occur, which is disappointing [price-gouging]. It's a hotel - people are loud and the streets are loud...it was an expensive place to stay the night, but necessary to support family for graduation.

The staff were very helpful and friendly. The rooms were nice. Plus it was right across the street from the church, so we didn’t have to drive. The breakfast was good also. When were first walked into the room there was something brown on the floor and we didn’t know what it was so we wiped it up. Also the pool wasn’t open. She was told that it had to be inspected.

I didn’t make it to breakfast yet my stay was amazing

Breakfast was decent, staff were friendly and helpful, parking lot was well lit and safe, everything was clean and comfortable. Breakfast options were mostly sugary carbs, so if you have dietary restrictions you may need to make alternate breakfast arrangements.

Room was clean , breakfast was good , HVAC worked well perfect place for a quick stay for a short bus trip.

The only thing we would like to see , is more lighting in the room and bathroom.

It was clean and the front desk people were super nice. I also felt safe because they lock their front doors at night. The rooms are clean and comfy.

Possibly we were “in between seasons (Mid April), which caused the pool to be closed?

Staff was friendly, the breakfast had a nice variety pancakes, eggs, sausage, biscuits & gravy ( just to name a few). Only draw back was the pool was not open. We enjoyed our stay and would go back again.

I love this hotel. I visit Wilmington regularly and I always stay here at the Wingate. The room is spacious, immaculate, and comfortable. The location is ideal, close to everything. In the staff is absolutely the best.

No hot water

The parking was great because hardly anyone was there. The electric room blind did not work. I had asked for handicap accessible room. The only room available had a tub and due to my disability I could not use the tub though I was there 4 days. I had to wash from the sink. On my second day I realized that my room was not cleaned. I complained and was advised that the cleaning staff cleans every other day. Out of coffee and trash needed to be emptied. I spoke to the cleaning staff and found that they get one day off per week. Had to insist and complain before they would give me a receipt for my stay. I had called corporate who advised that the hotel was a franchise and operated outside of corporations. My stay was the worst of all hotel stays. I would not recommend it. The only thing comforting was that desk manager (Jacqueline) was very cordial.

Breakfast was really good- lots of choices including fresh bananas and apples. Coffee was very good.

The entire place smelled like bug spray. The bath products were mismatched which I just thought was weird. The place looked run down and there were red fingerprints on my ceiling, didn’t want to guess. If it hadn’t been prebooked, I would not have stayed. The people that worked there were very nice and helpful. I felt sorry leaving them there.

This is the quietest room AC that I've ever stayed in. This is also one of the most modern & newest hotels that I've stayed in. I also loved the vey close proximity to groceries, restaurants, fast food, gasoline, and everything else that one would need to augment their stay.

Close to everything, loved the basically contactless check in and check out.

Great stay. Breakfast buffet good. Room very spacious but the bathroom lighting was very dim! Could hardly see in there. Might want to add more lights. Had to use my phone light at one point

Hotel was very clean and very well kept. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great. Selection was good. Only problem is is on our second night the fire alarm started going off at 6:00 in the morning. And continued for the next 30 to 45 minutes off and on. Very rude awakening. Still we would stay here again. Hopefully we don't get the alarm service next time.

Everything was wonderful.

We stayed at this hotel for a few nights and noticed a very strong urine odor coming from our bathroom. The staff was responsive and helpful—they had the bathroom cleaned, but the smell persisted. They moved us to another room, which was fine, though it still had a very musty/unpleasant odor. If it's difficult to keep your hotel smelling fresh, please make adjustments. The windows didn't appear to open, making it hard for guests to ventilate rooms themselves. Please do better for your guests in the future.

It’s right on a busy street so you hear the noise all night long. Very basic but the bed was comfortable. They did have hard boiled eggs for breakfast, still very basic.

Windomm decided to cancell my loyalty points. But I hxve stayed at this hotel many times in the last year. I will never stay at wyndom properties again

Hotel was nice, clean and a good location. The staff was excellent. Was greeted by Maddy and Patti the manager with a big smile and welcome. Was pleasantly surprised to hear they have a free social hour from 5:00-7:00 with wine, beer and snacks. The room was comfortable with all the usual amenities including a safe, which is always appreciated. The breakfast was the usual offerings. I can’t say enough about the staff who were all smiling, friendly and helpful.

Was disappointed that facility wanted to charge $4.95/day for Internet/WiFi unless ypu were a Wyndham rewards member.

The property was around a lot of other stores. It was very quiet and a clean hotel.

They staff was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was good. I enjoyed the night they offered free wine. I would definitely stay there again. It is located in a great spot not too far from anything.

Reception staff very welcoming and informative. Rooms very spacious,clean and comfortable. Not a bad word about any aspect. Breakfasting area quite relaxing in the morning which helps. Top marks and hope to visit again sometime.

We had to get towels and blankets for three adults as the room was originally set for two.

Overall I was happy with my stay. The breakfast was wonderful and the hotel coffee was taken to the next level. That was a pleasant surprise. My only complaint was that the hotel appeared fairly empty (only about 10 vehicles in the parking lot), yet they gave me a room directly above the lobby and my view was literally only the rooftop of the entrance area.

It’s a good option at a cheap price, clean and tidy and the staff is very nice

Property was clean and safe. Breakfast was mediocre, hallway smelled of vomit outside of our room, and bring a sleeping mask as the building is so lit up it looked like daylight outside at all hours through the blinds.

On this most recent stay, however there were 2 issues. 1.After my arrival as I began to shower I found the body wash container in the shower to be empty! (having stayed at this property before, I knew body wash was provided, so I did not bring my own). I saw this after beginning my shower, so....too late to call the desk and tell them as I was already in the shower, wet! 2. On this stay apparently a travel soccer team arrived that night and from the hours of 10pm- 12am there was running and yelling thru the hallways as I was trying to sleep at that hour. And the next morning, the team and parents basically took over the breakfast area....from approximately 7:30am - 9:30am, making it extremely difficult to get any breakfast food and sit anywhere to eat it as kids and parents took over the area sitting, talking, watching the television even after they had all eaten. Overall, my stay was still good, but on this occasion, I would only rate it as average....whereas other stays I've had here have all been above- average.

My husband and I really liked the safety, cleanliness and quietness of the hotel. The staff was very friendly and courteous.

Only thing I didn’t like was having to pay $25 to check in 30 minutes early. But overall it was a phenomenal stay & close to everything. Would stay again!

The hotel was very clean and offered a "welcome party" between 5-7:00pm with free wine, beer, soft drinks and snacks. I have NEVER seen that done before. Nice touch. I put a note on my reservation requesting a room that wouldn't be too far to walk because my husband was recuperating from knee replacement surgery and they gave us a great room; very close to everything. Nice place near the airport. It served our purpose for an early morning flight.

Everything was great. Comfortable bed, VERY clean room, good breakfast. The welcome gift was nice, and they even helped us locate a special stuffed animal we left behind. Really the only negative was that the property is a bit hard to get in and out of. But it's convenient to shopping and restaurants, and only half an hour or so from the beach. The Battleship NC is just 15 minutes away.

We had a pleasant stay! The breakfast was good, nothing fancy. They had a 24 hour coffee and tea bar which we enjoyed. We would stay here again.

Staff is very professional and friendly! I love how they gave us a little welcome bag. My children enjoyed the pool and there was a decent selection for breakfast. The bed comforters could have been a little better but that was just a small thing for me. Overall a great place to stay!

We needed a place to stay for the night and this was perfect for what we needed. The room was clean and quiet. There were plenty of places to eat near by. We could check in and check out online, which was quick and easy.

The staff was very helpful at check in and check out. The room was relatively clean, there was coins on the floor and dirt around toilet.

The rooms were extremely clean. I also loved the pool and it was also super clean. Breakfast was great for my kids especially and it was plentiful. We had a great stay and would for sure stay again.
