Reviews
The hotel reviews indicate a mix of positive and negative experiences. Guests generally appreciate the friendly staff, cleanliness, and convenient location, but some express dissatisfaction with the room size, comfort of beds, and lack of hot water.
- Friendly and helpful staff
- Cleanliness of rooms and facilities
- Small room size and uncomfortable beds
- Lack of hot water in some rooms
- 3/5
The bed was not particularly comfortable, and the pillows were not a size I have even seen on a bed before. Perhaps 18x18, pretty strange. The staff were very nice.
- 4/5
Make sure that the toilet paper and Kleenex are stocked in each room. Otherwise great!!
- 5/5

- 5/5
Excellent staff
- 1/5
Room was nasty had molded strawberries left in the fridge we checked in and immediately checked out this is a place for construction workers on the road for a cheap place to stay not for a family on a trip
- 4/5
Very comfy and clean
- 5/5
Love it
- 3/5
also they had my wrong e mail and couldn’t change it. Didn’t understand. The breakfast was okay. Overall I give them a 3+ Would I stay again, maybe if I couldn’t find anywhere else. Thank you
- 5/5
The room and hotel was clean. Staff was very friendly. It smelled so fresh when I walked through the door.
- 2/5
Would have given only one star had the staff not been so helpful and accommodating. We went through 3 rooms. First 2 smelled like smoke so we didn’t check the rooms. The third room, the slide bathroom door was on the floor so we couldn’t open and close the door. Shower door broken. Fire detector hanging off the wall. They gave is another room for our second night. Things worked ok. The rooms need major updates. We didn’t want to walk on the floor in the room without something on our feet.
- 4/5
Very good
- 2/5
The property is going through well needed reservations. The rooms are bad...
- 4/5
The walls and the door to the bathroom were dirty. The shower is a glass door that does not meet at the walls so when you take a shower, water gets all over the floor.
- 4/5
They didn't advertise it was continental breakfast
- 3/5
The second was centipedes in our room on the blinds. It didn't mind me and my friend too much, but again, just something to note. The third, the walls are EXTREMELY thin. You can hear every little sound in the hallway and outside which makes it hard to sleep in the morning. The rooms were fine, they definitely haven't been deep cleaned in quite some time, and they have had their fair share of the "landlord treatment". Overall, you get what you pay for. It served the purpose we needed it for, but just lower your expectations when staying here. It is conveniently located by many shops and restaurants, and only 14 minutes from the beach. It's a place I see myself returning to if I'm on a tight budget.
- 5/5
Everything was great!
- 4/5
The hotel was OK. Everything OK but it’s has the smell.
- 5/5
Clean room, staff very friendly and helpful.
- 4/5
It was an decent stay. Convenient to everything. Staff was nice. We had a clean room. Breakfast lasted until 10am, which was different, but probably because it was microwavable mostly, but waffles were freshly made. They may have been short-staffed because there were a few things that could have had been better far as clean property. The hallways where the stairs are were; that wasn't cleaned daily? Trash cans that sit outside the door that isn't the main door we're piled up 2 days. Mostly it was a pretty fair place. This place could use a very much needed update. I remember staying here a few years back and I think it was in better condition than it is now.
- 5/5
Awesome, everything was great Didn't stay longer
- 5/5
10/10 but please give me a room next time with a door I didn’t had a bathroom door at all

- 3/5
Air conditioning clean good staff
- 5/5
Very nice staff. Well maintained property.
- 4/5
Older hotel and it shows. However, everything else was great. White linens, including bedspreads/comforters being white, was awesome! Really made the room feel very clean! Will stay there again.
- 4/5
Not enough parking
- 5/5
Smaller room but functional
- 5/5
Loved staying in the room!
- 5/5
Smaller place and a good price but definitely outdated. Better than a motel, however.
- 5/5
My stay was good, staff were friendly and welcoming...rooms was clean and comfortable.
- 3/5
The room didn't feel like $190 worth. It was super outdated, I know I'm not there to watch tv but that thing looked like it was just bought when flat screens started coming out. The bathroom door was like a sliding closet door that was hard to get out of the hole it pushes into cause there's no handle or anything to grab. The breakfast didn't have much when I went to it, barely 1 or 2 muffins, some packs of instant grits and juice and coffee was about it, ended up going out for breakfast even though it was supposed to be included. Maybe would have been worth 80 to 100 dollars but not almost 200.
- 5/5
Very nice stay

- 5/5
Clean and safe. Wood like a corporate rate staying every Saturday evening.for work
- 5/5
Room was clean and functional. Not over the top, but price was good, and for our overnight stay, it met all the requirements. I’d return!
- 4/5
The room was nice. If you like soft beds, this would be perfect for you. It was a very nice stay! Would recommend!
- 5/5
Great breakfast and a great stay!! Definitely worth it

- 5/5
The bed was so comfortable and the sheets were so soft!!! Amazing. Everything was excellent except me and roommate both had throat irritation overnight and wondered if it was something in the room. Not sure but odd that we both had it that night and only that night. It smelled ok in the room.
- 2/5
No hot water when adressing with front desk was told “we know” was left at that.
- 3/5
It was ok
- 4/5
The room was clean and comfortable. No complaints.

We booked a reservation online and it was confirmed, only to arrive at the hotel and be told that the desk attendant had cancelled it because she believed the hotel was full. We asked her to confirm and she rudely told us she was the only person there. When we inquired about different room types that may be available, she told us there would be a significant cost increase. She was extremely unhelpful and we ended up booking at another hotel.
- 5/5
Rooms and Staff were fantastic. Breakfast options were very limited unfortunately.

Immediately upon arriving at tye location im retrieving my bags from my vehicle there's a drunken Hispanic guy swaying around in the parking lot trying to get his one very small bag out of his truck staring at me trying to provoke a fight. I IGNORED , WNET CHECKED IN AND THE SMELL OF MOLD ALMOST KNOCKED ME OUT WHEN THE DOORS OPENED.i got the drunken guy breathing down my neck the whole time Im getting checked in and finally the incompetent 0 personality 0 humor completely violated of emotion desk lady give me my key THE drunk guy was obviously just waiting on me because he didnt even need to be checked in and decided to stand at the elevator and stare at me some more as the wait on the elevator .Then he proceeds to just stand at the doors and stare at me while im holding 5he elevator doors open ofr him to hopefully just fall in or trip or something but NO! HES NOT TRYO G TO GET ON THE ELEVATOR.Hr just ean4s to stand and stare while the doors slowly close.the room Was filthy, bed was shaped like a banana and was noticeably made with wire .if it wouldn't had been from ot having extra mo ey to loose and it being 12 am I word have left then.I slept with my pistol im my lap sitting up in the banna boat wuth me vl9th3s and shoes on untill time to leave for work.I checked out 2 days early on a 3 night stay .

Terrible breakfast. The entire building is run down. Water began leaking into our shower through the light above it.
- 5/5
Room was clean. Breakfast was nice and staff was nice.
- 4/5
Good breakfast, free parking, everything worked. Great for an economy hotel.
- 5/5
Honestly, my day was extremely pleasant. I was not too far from the beach.
- 4/5
Very good
- 4/5
Room was perfect, no complaints. Shower was good. Bed felt very comfortable. Only thing from breakfast, wish there were some bacon
- 5/5
The bathroom was very clean and the shower was large and able to accommodate two people if needed. As well as the shower water was very warm. The breakfast was fair but there was hot waffles very fresh fruit in many of drinks to choose from.
- 3/5
Hotel had a stale smell like mold air, cigarette smoke covered with air fresheners. Room had a cracked sink, repaired holes in the wall, stain on dust ruffle. Pillows were tiny and terrible. Beds are extremely uncomfortable. All the staff were friendly and helpful. Walls are paper thin- could hear people running in the hallway and banging around at 430am. Overall it is a budget hotel so expectations should be low.
- 4/5
Very good
- 2/5
AC was good for room. Place needs updating. Comfy beds.
- 5/5
Clean room. Friendly staff. Easy check-in process.
- 2/5
AC was good for room. Place needs updating. Comfy beds.
- 3/5
The breakfast description is not accurate. It’s is not a buffet style, it’s a continental breakfast. That was huge let down. This place offers basic budget accommodations. Nothing to write home about. I would like for a better option that offers a true buffet breakfast. It’s worth th extra 50 or 60 a night you might pay.
- 5/5
A/C unit was the best part of room , putting on hot or cold didn’t take long to fulfill room
- 5/5
It was great!
- 5/5
Only place I’m ok with staying on first floor
- 5/5
The room was beautiful 😍 the building was beautiful. It smelled great 👍 felt great and i was so glad to stay there.
- 3/5
Shower head was broken. Told the manager. Found out my partner had the same problem in another room. They know. They aren’t making repairs.
- 4/5
Friendly staff, clean room and good breakfast bar options. Only quibble is the bed wasn’t as comfortable as I would have liked.
- 5/5
Rooms are always clean.
- 2/5
The muffins were stale and the breakfast selection was very poor overall. Additionally, while cleaning the breakfast area, a staff member accidentally dropped several cereal bowls onto the floor. Instead of discarding them, she took them back into the kitchen as if no one had noticed, which was very concerning from a hygiene standpoint.
- 5/5
This is about my 3rd or 4th time staying at Sleep Inn. The staff is very friendly. The breakfast buffet is your typical continental breakfast items. Leticia who works in the breakfast area is very friendly and goes above and beyond to make sure the guest are happy. The rooms are comfortable and well spacious for our needs. Would recommend this hotel/ Inn to anyone visiting the Wilmington area.
- 3/5
Nice people, clean rooms. I didnt care for the smell of my room. It is an older hotel and they use pinesol or something similar, it was so strong it gave me a headache. Just way to much lingering smell.
- 5/5
Awesome
- 3/5
The room seemed clean, a little out dated and smelled like it had been closed up for a while - not sure what the smell really was. Staff was nice but it was noisy very late into the night as there were other guests hanging out in the kitchen area.
- 4/5
Minuses -- no TV channel sheet/guide in the rooms. In this day and age, with 100 or more channels on hotel TVs, trying to use the channel guide on a TV screen is tedious, slow, and often wrong. Each hotel needs a sheet of the channels and the networks on them. 2. The breakfast was continental only. I was expecting a full breakfast with hot food like eggs and choice of meat.
- 3/5
Staff was nice. Room was in good condition but had an odor.
- 1/5
I wish i could rate negative stars. Someone was smoking marijuana on the "wing" we were on. The pockets door to our bathroom didnt lick and was broken. The cleaning staff almost destroyed our friends computer. Horriblem
- 5/5
Courteous staff, room clean
- 4/5
Clean and good value
- 3/5
It was comfortable for the price, loud through the night though
- 4/5
the bed was a little too soft for my back. other than that, it was a good stay. things were clean
- 4/5
The employees were patient with me since I am deaf and communicate with them through texting.

- 5/5
The whole staff was exceptional.
- 5/5
Amazing and very helpful staff. Our room was very clean and very nice!!! We will definitely stay again
- 5/5
Property itself is tidy, rooms were in great shaped. Clean, today and with appropriate amenities for the tier of hotel. Staff was awesome. especially the breakfast attendant on Sunday morning. When I arrived right as things were getting ready to close down, she made sure I was able to take some food up to my family, offered me other items from the back, and just overall made sure I wasn’t rushed and had a chance to get everybody fed. Super friendly, and I appreciated that she went the extra mile to make my Sunday morning, so smooth.
- 4/5
the hotel was close to all the restaurants.
- 2/5
I stayed here overnight for a funeral service in town. The staff was very kind, but the room was 1.5 stars at best. There were stains on the pillows and bedsheet. There was a splatter of something on the lamp shades and wall. Large stains on the rug, and the shower floor had black crud that I didn’t trust. I washed at the sink and made sure to wear shoes in the room. Breakfast was decent, so I guess the food and staff were high points. The room itself was something out of a bad movie.
- 1/5
I had a bracelet stolen out of my room from this property and nothing was done about it. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.
- 5/5
They were very attentive and very clean room abd great beds
- 5/5
Our stay with sleep inn was amazing!
- 3/5
Mostly good. Bathroom door working poorly. Clean, small, comfortable. Toilet flushed poorly.
- 5/5
great price . conveniently located and clean
- 1/5
Discounted rooms are substandard! The first room that I checked into reeked of urine and other awful smells. I was moved to another room when requested and it was a little better, but everything was old and just ugly. For instance, the paint was peeling and bubbly on the refrigerator, the luggage rack was rusty, gaps around the front door were so large that light poured into the room all night and you spent more time chanel surfing that actually watching TV (no chanel lineup) and the TV was tiny. Linens were never changed during my 4 day stay, and maids did not carry linens on their carts. My room was 3>4 ft from parking area and all night all you heard were car doors slamming and beeps from lock activations.I will never stay ther again.
- 5/5
Everything went smoothly. Room was clean and great for a quick stay. The breakfast was great! A lot of selection. Overall a perfect pick for a 2 night stay
- 5/5
Amazing
- 4/5
No hot breakfast but good variety of muffins, bagels etc. Shower head was stuck on one setting. Decent for the price for a quick stay.

The room was decent. Felt kind of outdated. But cleanliness was okay.
- 5/5
Room was clean-bathroom felt outdated but was also clean. Did not eat breakfast. I would stay there again.
- 4/5
yes
- 2/5
Will not be staying at this location again. Was in my room with my wife and some random person just walked into my room while getting ready to go out. Front desk did not seem to concerned when I addressed the issue by only saying sorry and redoing my key access.
- 5/5
Nice staff and a smooth check in and check out processes. Free breakfast was small but pretty good for something quick. Spacious rooms
- 3/5
The sink was not draining, people drinking in the parking lot at night
- 3/5
The SMALLEST hotel room I've ever stayed in with the THINNEST walls I've ever encountered in a hotel. Another hotel "guest" was very LOUD and DISRUPTIVE. Alerted staff 2x before staff approached the customers in that room. Outside appearance of hotel was good, inside total disappointment. Overall, the entire visit was an disappointment.
- 3/5
Prime example of “you get what you pay for.”
- 1/5

- 4/5
Room was clean. People were great. I stayed 9 days.
- 5/5
Room was clean
- 1/5
Yes it did. And 3 out of the 10 days that i stayed there the tv didn't work. I went to the front desk to let them know and all they kept saying is that they will get it fix. It wasn't until Tuesday the woman at the front desk she made maintenance go fix it right then. So I thank her because she was the only one that got it done when I talked to her about the problem
- 4/5
Room was clean, bed was comfortable. Only complaint was that the ice machine on the third floor was broken down starting Wednesday. Check in and check out was easy.
- 4/5
Staff very nice.
- 5/5
Everything is great.
- 4/5
Yes
- 5/5
Amazing
- 5/5
Very nice stay
- 5/5
My stay at this location was very good. I was initially worried about the room's cleanliness and functionality, but it seems to be mostly redone, and everything works as designed. The parking areas and the immediate area seemed safe and quiet because many company pickups were parked overnight, with equipment, boxes, etc., and nothing was disturbed. I accidentally left one of my rear windows down, and my car wasn't touched during that time. There are quite a few dining options within walking distance.
- 5/5
Great
- 2/5
I had some strange women start yelling on my hall around 3:30a this morning, she then proceeded to start banging on my room door and other room doors creating a disturbance. After she had exited the hallway I went downstairs to contact hotel staff and no one was at the desk. I waited for about 10 mins and no one showed up.
- 5/5
Nice staff
- 5/5
Great place quick check in clean and friendly
- 5/5
Awesome staff and nice rooms!
- 4/5
Ocean view was not viewable from the room but there was A/C. However, we could not watch TV the entire weekend we were there. Instead transferring us to a room where the service worked, we were apologized to and told we just have to deal with it. That made me wanna leave
- 5/5
We stay for 2 nights every 6 months and plan to continue to do so.
- 2/5
Third floor stunk. Room stunk. Killed a spider above sink. Walls had remnants of food, debris, & secretions. Sheets were discolored and had clear flakes (skin?) on them. The shower drain backed up within 3 minutes of use. At 1 AM, what appeared to be a homeless man knocked on my door. He was likely trying to get to the room down the hall that had had its door propped open all evening with the lights off. The ice machine on third floor did not work. The elevator buttons don't properly illuminate and the breaks squeak loudly. The AC unit so loudly & aggressively vibrates the walls and floor that the metal springs in the mattress reverberate the noise into your person. Glad I took my own pillow. A sign on the mirror suggests that any difficulties you may have sleeping are the result of caffeine.
- 3/5
This hotel is definitely outdated but it was clean and staff was friendly. Rooms are small, beds are small, TV is small, bathroom is small but I guess for the price, it’s expected.
- 5/5
Property could use paint and updating, but it was clean.
- 5/5
It was a great stay for the weekend, close to everything we needed!
- 5/5
Wonderful staff!! Loved my stay there
- 2/5
Hair on the toilet, rug had not been vacuumed, light in shower strobed on and off, tractor trailer with refrigeration unit parked near window ran all night. room smelled musty. we stayed another night and requested a different room and did not have any problems.
- 2/5
Hair on toilet seat, room smelled musty, outside a tractor trailer ran idling with a refrigeration car all night, shower light flickered when turned in
- 1/5
We ended up not staying. Room was filthy and smelled of cigarette smoke. Then we discovered bed bugs, stains and hair on the bedding. Place is in desperate need of an update. Hope we get our money back!!!
- 4/5
It’s been a good experience
- 2/5
This place needs to be upgraded and cleaned up. It was nasty carpet and the bathroom was disgusting.
- 3/5
Adequate room. The bed size is not a queen, though advertised as one. The breakfast is mediocre. Cleanliness could be better or worse. Low rate is the best selling point.
- 1/5
The property isn’t anywhere near like the pictures on their site. The parking lot isn’t very secure, with people hanging around. The carpet in the room was stained and shower moldy. The ac in the room had wires hanging under neath. A fight broke out between guest at 2 am one night as well. When deciding to leave, management stated there would be charged another night due to not being able to remove belongings before 11. Never again!
- 4/5
Bed, linens, pillows, and mattress were very good. There was a musty smell but there was a northeaster with lots of rain and wind. Breakfast clean and well serviced
- 5/5
Very nice, will be back for vacay in November!!!!
- 4/5
Staff was helpful and polite
- 4/5
Trucks in parking lots ran their rigs all night. It was LOUD!!
- 3/5
I didn't have any bad experiences with anyone. But it was in the older part of town. It needs an overhaul. But for the money for me to have a place to crash, it was okay.
- 4/5
Other than that, the room was clean, there was a good decent sized mini-fridge, our towels were replaced during our stay, and the bed was comfortable. The vending machine down the hall also had a good selection of late night snacks.
- 4/5
Clean room
- 4/5
Room is okay. The carpet needs to be replaced for dog odor.
- 5/5
Good, will utilize again.
- 2/5
Our room smells terrible. Like musty and as if a smoker lived there. Facilities definitely need upgrading - dirty, scratched..
- 3/5
Its fine for a cheap motel.
- 3/5
It was good for the $80 per night deal. Clean, staff was nice, property is very dated.
- 5/5
Was a great price for a clean room. Nice beds. Friendly staff. Would stay here again
- 5/5
Staff was friendly. Latricia was especially friendly and talked with us both mornings were were at breakfast.
- 4/5
For the price it is a good selection. The beds are small, it appears there was dirt in edges around desk, walls and the shower. My wife smelled something like the room had been smoked in.
- 4/5
Great staff!
- 3/5
Unfortunately got a room that smelled like cigarettes after checking in pretty late into the night and being exhausted. Night staff were very nice and found a new room for us.
- 4/5
Staff was amazing room was well designed with all amenities. The shower tub had a very high edge and a shower chair was included. The shampoos were in easy dispence wall mounts. Breakfast was adequect .
- 3/5
Property is what you get for what you pay for.
- 2/5
The room we received for our stay had an incredibly dirty carpet including splashes of a mystery liquid that looked like blood, no Im not making this up. The beds were very stiff and the room itself smelled like a mix of sweat and urine. The access panel on the bathroom ceiling was rusty and seemed like it might fall off if you bumped it. It seemed that that room needed a good carpet cleaning and overhaul. Not a great place to stay.
- 4/5
The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. There was some kind of scent/air freshener that was used in the lobby that was overwhelming. The room had the same scent, but not as strong. It made me wonder what odor they were trying to cover up.
- 5/5
Great stay! Friendly staff!
- 5/5
When I first arrived into the room, it was truly a breath of fresh air. No, literally the room smelt absolutely amazing and super clean I’m like I have ever smelled a hotel room before. I truly knew that they put work in effort into making that room clean For me. The hospitality staff was always friendly from housekeeping, to front desk staff. The open floor locations was always nice and clean and welcoming. Only issue I had was the elevator was tricky. Sometimes it worked, and sometimes it did not. I mentioned it to the Manager though so hopefully they were able to figure out what was wrong with it eventually. It wasn’t an issue for me because it was merely maybe only 14 steps from carpeted stairs within the lobby to the second floor where I was staying. I must offer true kudos to the housekeeping Manager for training their staff well, they do an amazing job, I have never stayed in a hotel so clean before even in crazy fancy hotels. I would most certainly stay here again!!
- 2/5
Grubby room overall bathroom door screeched when slid shut. We had to get creative when finding room for suitcases etc. Hair dryer did not work. Would not recommend this hotel.
- 4/5
Staff were friendly and helpful. Though our bathroom needed cleaned better and the room had a bit of a musty damp smell to it, all in all really was a pretty good value for the price per night.
- 5/5
All the staff were super friendly! Did have a frayed wire in our room on the air conditioner but otherwise a great stay.
- 4/5
Location was amazing. Bed was hard and my back hurt by the second morning. White smudges of something on the bed dust ruffle. Floor could use a good vacuuming. Everything else was fine. We didnt eat breakfast, but it was the standard waffles, fruit and muffins. For the price, I would stay here again.
- 5/5
I liked the place, the affordable price, the clean room, and good service.
- 4/5
Rooms have a lot of cosmetic issues. Breakfast service was good, but could use some more options for food choice.
- 5/5
Reception staff is amazing, one was really rude acting like i was bothering her.
- 5/5
This property was very clean, there wasn't any loitering or panhandling. The staff was very helpful and not that in your face kind of way. Although this stay was a last minute thing they had rooms available and perfect for us. Definitely going back to that hotel our next visit to wilmington
- 1/5
I spent one night on the first floor for $90 and managed to kill over 10 bugs before I went to bed. I woke up to more bugs crawling around and bites on me.
- 5/5
This is hands down one of the best hotels to stay in when visiting Cumberland, MD. Karan, Hector and Sam were amazing, all are very customer service driven. As for the actual hotel, it has been updated with modern amenities, everything was very clean and tidy (I even checked the mattress). It does have a weight room (you may wish to bring a portable fan for your comfort and a towel), swimming pool, laundry facility on site, conference room and a nice sized lobby for special events: showers, business/golf meetings. The location has a majestic mountain view from the parking lot. It is situated immediately off the interstate 68/70. Downtown Cumberland is about an 8 minute drive from the hotel.. take in a gourmet coffee and breakfast (Cafe Mark), for lunch sandwiches/subs made on a fresh hoagie roll by our own D'Atri family (grab a spirit while there), desserts (European and AJ cookies). Never leave Cumberland without trying a famous Coney Dog by Gino!(just dont ask for the recipe-and cash only) Want to remain close by: McDonalds, Subway and Loves gas station are just in the parking lot of the hotel (with EV charging). This is rated a 2-star hotel, but I would give it the feel of a 3-4 star due to the customer service, cleanliness and location. This would be a great budget savvy option to visit RockyGap. Kudos to the team Cumberland MD Sleep Inn! You have really stepped up the Sleep-Inn experience into a more mid-level stay while keeping it economical, classy and safe.
- 5/5
Quiet, affordable, clean..Great Hotel!

Fine property. Maid service great

It was good

Walked into my room and the bathroom door was broken. I pull the comforter and the sheets had dry blood on them. When I go up front to ask for another room they said the rooms were all sold out they offered me a refund! How does that help me, I needed a place to stay. WORSE EXPERIENCE EVER!

It was Wilmington

We stayed here because we was in town visiting our daughter at UNCW. We normally always stay another place but wanted to give Sleep Inn a try. The first night we had to change rooms because the shower clogged up. Once we got in the new room on the third floor when I got into that shower there were hairs on the shampoo bottles (very nasty) the whole hall smelled like smoking and our room smelled like a cigar, sweat and smokers had been there before. It just didn’t feel clean. We never had internet service out of 3 days that we stayed. Our key stopped working..I could really go on and on. Not a good experience.

Wasn’t the cleanest in the bathroom area, the ac wasn’t the coolest and created at mildew smell.
- 3/5
Mildew present on floor in front of shower door from water and a lot of rust on metal fixtures in the room to include the water sprinkler system.
- 4/5
Not a bad hotel for the price. Moderately clean, quiet and close to the beach. Lots of places to shop nearby too. Would def book again!
- 4/5
Beds and pillows were comfy. Floor in room could have been vacuumed better. Not much for breakfast options.
- 3/5
Floor of shower old/ worn/ dirty? No tv guide..... One lamp wirhout bulb...... Attention to detail appears to be greatly lacking. Pics avail if needed......
- 5/5
Rooms are a little small, but clean. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Good location with good access to Wilmington and Wrightsville.
- 4/5
The biggest negative was the lack of water pressure in the sink. Otherwise, convenient location between beaches and Riverwalk. Breakfast was standard fare with waffles.
- 3/5
Young lady at check in was great in explaining everything and making check in very smooth. Unfortunately when we got to our assigned room it was still being cleaned at 10pm. We were ready for bed. We waited in the food area on the first floor after letting her know the situation and how after booking the room at least a month in advance and calling ahead the same day we did not expect to have to wait for our room at 10pm. After telling us there were no more rooms she came back to say she had a cancellation and we could have another room. The room was just ok. We had to ask for an extra blanket as the one thin one on the bed was not going to be enough when the thermostat had been set to 68 degrees. We also had no light in our shower.
- 2/5
Visit this area 6 plus times a year. The carpet was wet from the refrigerator not closing. The water faucet didn’t fit the sink and when you turned it on it ran all over the sink top. Needs some major upgrades. Staff was just there.
- 2/5
The room was dirty including the walls. The bathroom had minimal lighting. The shower stall didn’t close all the way causing water to get all over the floor and there was some sort of putty in the bottom of the shower. Do not recommend staying here.
- 2/5
Definitely not worth the money. For $200 I am not sure what I really paid for. The halls and the rooms have a weird smell to them. The pillows were small square old pillows that were not comfortable at all, and took four of them just to Cover the top part of the bed. The carpet was gross with stains and when you stepped on it barefooted it almost felt sticky. I kept my shoes on the entire time. The shower had obvious hair on the wall, the bathroom outlets were so stripped you could not put in your hairdryer or flat iron. The hotel, breakfast consisted of bagels, waffles, or frozen sausage corndogs, or fruit. Overall, this hotel needs a complete makeover in order to charge the prices that they do.
- 2/5
Place is out dated. Outside of the property unkempt. Rooms dusty, sink faucets leaked, sink clogged up, shower dirty, toilets dont flush, pillows rock hard and small.
- 1/5
Slamming of doors all night, made it hard to sleep. The AC was out for a night. Carpet and bathroom were smelly and bathroom fan was full of dust/dirt. Wifi quality was poor. If you are looking for a cheap hotel, choose another option if you want to rest and pay a little more.

Good value!

We had a few roaches In our room
- 1/5
The seat on the toilet was loose and shifted almost causing one to fall. Disgusting shower full of mold. Toilet flushed super loud. Checked in early evening and had to be somewhere so we didn’t get back in room till later. Too exhausted to complain as we had to leave for airport at 5 am. Staff was nice rest of what we saw was ok but the bathroom in our room was absolutely disgusting( did not use shower).

We booked connecting rooms for our weekend stay. Check in was a breeze. However, we got to our rooms and there was a very unpleasant odor. We figured the rooms had been closed and unused for a couple days. We spent the majority of the day outside of the room. The next morning we let management know and they moved our rooms. We did not get connecting rooms once they moved us. The new rooms were definitely better but overall not great. The rooms have carpet which seems to contribute to the smell. There were obvious places where the hotel house keeping do not clean very well, if at all. The vents to the ac had lint and dirt build up. There was dust on the door ledges, mold on the pocket door, stains in the carpets, etc. The towels had a slighlty sticky film on them. The hotle is a 2 star and on the cheaper end, and you get what you pay for. Lesson learned. There are so many great food options close by, as well as shopping. It is also very close to the River district and a short drive to the beaches. The front desk was very pleasant but we will probably not stay here in the future. The hotel could definitely use some cleaning up and modernizing.

everything was good

Perfect location to tour UNC Wilmington. At check out the front desk staff informed me they offer special rates often for UNC families - good to know!

Great pool and staff. The parking was easy and the room was clean with everything needed. It had a fridge with a seperate freezer, which is nice and a microwave.

The room was very nice and the staff were very kind. We stayed for 5 nights and it was perfect for what we needed. It was close to everything we wanted to do.
- 5/5
Room was clean and available early. Air conditioning worked great, room was clean. Pool was pleasant at night. Neighbors were very loud late at night, but this was no downfall of the hotel. Breakfast was very nice and the dining area was very clean! Staff were all very pleasant and helpful.
- 5/5
the staff was very friendly
- 4/5
The buffet breakfast was lacking. Dry cereal, waffles, juice, a few bagels and English muffins. None of the other regular fare of this type of hotel. Room was supplied with 2 towels which is insufficient if a lady is one of the occupants. The room was clean and recently updated. One item of inconvenience was the bath sink faucet was too short. It only extended past the edge of the sink about an inch. Not nearly enough to wash your hands easily. Maybe a minor inconvenience hurt aggravating anyway
- 3/5
It was just ok. Felt safe and was conveniently located. The beds were comfortable. The room smelled of smoke, it was dirty and there was mold on the window curtains. The free breakfast was pretty bad. Very few selections and dining area is tiny. Cold fruit and a waffle station. No bread or pastries or yogurt - certainly no hot items. Elevator felt shaky. There are a lot of contractors staying there which made us uncomfortable as 2 women traveling alone (didn’t feel unsafe). There are much better options in Wilmington. We won’t stay again.

Everything was dirty.

Breakfast options were ok. I would have like eggs and a breakfast meat.
- 3/5
Don’t like the shower, and could barely sleep due to people in the hallway making noise . Shower head pressure was low. Overall, it’s okay
- 3/5
Kya at the front desk and housekeeping were very pleasant.
- 3/5
Blow dryer didn’t work. Staff said to bad they don’t have one but maintenance will fix it. Even though has shampoo and conditioner in shower it was empty. Bathroom light flickered like a strobe lightt. All night people loudly arguing and fighting in parking lot. Which appeared to be homeless but staff did nothing about it.

We stayed here on the last night of a road trip through TN, SC, and NC. We were flying home from Wilmington, and wanted an affordable hotel close to the airport, as we had to leave at 3am for the flight. This hotel was clean and felt safe. They had a pool, which seemed to have a bit of an issue (it wasn’t all the way full), but we still were able to swim and they were refilling it as we were there. We had to leave too early for breakfast, but the breakfast room looked nice, and it was free. No restaurant on site, but it was super easy to Door Dash some dinner, and there were vending machines available for snacks. The bathroom was strange, with the toilet and shower in a separate room, but the sink out in the same room as the beds. This was unfortunate at night, as it was difficult to wash hands without waking up my travel partner. I would have preferred to have a fully contained bathroom that was separate from the sleeping space. It was easy to Uber to downtown to see the sites. Overall, I would stay here again if I needed a close to the airport, budget-friendly hotel.

Decent hotel, not bad for the price, would go again. Location is 10/10, everything is nearby. Beach isnt too far from the hotel, (15-20 minutes). Pool was pretty clean and not bad. Staff 10/10. I realize they share the pool with Mainstay Suites right next to them. I did see some trash behind the microwave and fridge, but thats all, room was clean, bed was comfortable. Not bad, its pretty decent.

Very clean

This is a great basic hotel. It's nice and clean with a nice pool. The complimentary breakfast is basic but nice. If you don't need anything fancy then this is a great place.
