Location Gym was dirty and ac wasn’t working which resulted in Ants. Rooms have adjacent rooms for kids which is okay for families with kids but not for couple or professionals. Every night I could hear adjacent rooms TV and shower. If sleep is a priority ask for a private room or go to a different hotel.

The only complaint was that the pool was green and gross. But the hotel staff was great and everything in the gym was brand new!!!

Perfect for what we needed

The front desk staff, from check-in to departure, the room, housekeeping- all great and appreciated. We'd come back to this property any chance to be in Winston-Salem. We were there for a hospital procedure. The hotel could not have been more convenient.

Hotel was clean and staff was nice but area was a bit shady. Lots of pot smoking in parking lot, and back of motel is facing a loud freeway where you can see mattresses and homeless people. Pool was closed ( it was spring so not too disappointed but would have loved to have been able to sit outside. I had taken my daughter to see a friend so was taking a couple of days to relax and hotel was not really conducive for that.

Swift the breakfast manager was wonderful. Very friendly,helpful, cheerful and great selection for breakfast. Audrey at the front desk was so kind and helpful as was the first young man that checked us in. We will be back when in treatment at atrium health. The best doctors in the world 😊

We enjoyed our stay. It was close to everything BUT my only problem was the mattress sheet had two big stains on it. We didn’t see this until the next morning when we were getting out of the bed. We reported it to the front desk.

The only problem I had was not having a coffee pot in my room when I first woke up to make me a cup of coffee other than that everything was excellent I love The Walking showers and everything and the TV had the 16 bulbs looking back at you but we let him know downstairs at the customer service desk about the TV

The continental breakfast in the morning was delicious and offered a nice variety of items to choose from. The staff overseeing the breakfast did a great job keeping everything tidy and clean. My only reason for giving four stars instead of five is that the room felt a bit pricey compared to surrounding hotels with similar amenities. Overall, it was a pleasant, hassle-free stay, and I would consider staying here again.

Nice people, lovely clean room. Well located near medical center if you have an appointment. A lamp wouldn’t turn on and front desk person replaced the bulbs since no maintenance staff were on duty. Only complaint is that I noticed being charged an extra $30 for “incidentals.” Going to have to call and see what that’s for because I can’t think of anything.

The staff was friendly. I didn't eat breakfast but there was a large variety and very appealing. The hotel was clean, parking was close and my room was very clean. The elevator had paint dried on the floor and walls. Not sure if they're doing renovations or what but I would suggest cleaning that up. Otherwise, I would stay here again.

Room needs a lot of maintenance. The ceiling was turning black. The shower knob was bent. All the grout needs to be redone. Shower door was stuck. Mold on the ceiling of bathroom. Paint crack everywhere. Same tired breakfast every morning. Staff was not to friendly.

The bacon was crispy and the cinnamon roll was very good. I appreciated the Greek yogurt option, chocolate milk, and fancy coffee machine. I didn't think the coffee was all that great, but it is nice you can use the machine to make a fresh hot cup for yourself. The seating in the breakfast area was comfortable and the area was clean. The workers were competent and efficient at the front desk.

We checked in very late in the early morning, and the check-in attendant was excellent. He made our check in process very smooth and easy. When we got up the next morning for breakfast The attendant helping with cleaning and restocking the breakfast food was amazing. I didn’t catch his name, but he was the nicest gentleman and really made our experience that much better.

None of the outlets in the room could hold a standard phone charger in them (the chargers kept falling out). Additionally, the thermostat battery was removed by the cleaning service and not replaced so the room smelled and was very musty when we got back from our day

Fan in bathroom never shut off this is in room 519. There waa obvious water at some point visible on ceiling and along the wall. Bed was comfortable, room was clean, very quiet.

As a female traveling alone, I felt very safe staying here. I checked in after dark but the outside was well lit and the front was clearly marked. The lady at the front desk saw that I had been at the hospital and told me about a promotion for families staying there with loved ones in the hospital. Very kind! The room itself was clean and well supplied with shower soap, shampoo, lotion, etc. The room was quiet and I had no issues sleeping. The next morning, there was a buffet breakfast with eggs, bacon, biscuits, pastries, cereal, juice, and coffee. The gentleman attending the food was so nice and funny. I would definitely stay here again.

The personnel was great. On my day to leave, I was texted at 8am by the company to have a nice day and leave my 11. Next around 9:30 cleaning service was knocking on my door. They knock until you answer. Needless to say, the text woke me up. So did the knocking. Why? Just why? I wasn’t ready to wake up or to leave. Really bothered me and I definitely will not use them in the future based on their practice of waking me up at 8 am and then further harassment with the cleaning lady.

Recently, I have stayed at this property due to family in the hospital across the street. I have had an excellent experience each time. I have had to travel alone and felt very safe and very welcomed every time I entered the property. The front desk, as a whole, is so friendly and always greeted me whether entering or leaving. Highly recommend.

There for treatment at Wake. Everyone was extremely kind and helpful, especially Swift. In fact, we have stayed there numerous times and Swift has always gone above and beyond to try and help us. Thank you.

We were in Winston Salem for a wedding. There were 15 of us staying. Its very clean and the staff made us feel at home.

This hotel was great, just like every other Holiday Inn Express I've stayed at.

I loved the location. We had a family member in the hospital and wanted to be in close proximity. The front desk staff were super friendly and courteous. The room was nice other than a few issues. Two of the outlets in the room did not work which made it difficult to charge devices near the bed. The bathroom mirror had a light around it that kept flashing causing a headache when the light was turned on. The television did not work. We did not get in the room until late from leaving the hospital so when we called regarding the issues they were not able to come until he next day. We were able to get the tv to work after front desk suggested pulling tv from the wall and unplugging and replugging. They did offer a discount due to inconvenience which was nice but hasn't been reflected in my account as of yet. The complementary breakfast was good with lots of options from eggs, bacon, biscuits, pancakes, cereals, yogurts, fruit, coffee, hot cocoa, juices, milk, etc. The gentleman that worked the breakfast area was very nice and the buffet and eating area was all very clean. The front lobby area also had a very pleasant fragrance which gives a very nice greeting upon entering the hotel. Other than the in room issues, this is a nice hotel to stay at that is walking distance to the hospital.

Our stay here started off excellent with the night clerk being so friendly and helpful. Our room was amazing! Clean, smelled wonderful. The AC was already on and the room was nice and cool. There were plenty of clean towels, wash cloths and hand towels. Absolutely loved the setup of body wash, shampoo and conditioner bottles conveniently place on the wall in the shower as well as the hand wash and lotion on the wall by sink. The room was huge with mini fridge, kuerig coffee machine, iron and ironing board. The whole experience was Great and refreshing to get a room that exceeds your expectations for the price.

This is a nice hotel. The room is not huge, but very clean and updated. The breakfast was the best I've had at a hotel. It was a nice stay. I was in town for a conference, with my family, and they were able to enjoy the pool while I was busy.

Love staying there great place

The coffeepot in the room didn't work. I reported it and they said they would put a new one in. I stayed two nights and checked out. Went traveling to another locations and then stayed one more night. In the new room I used that coffee pot and still had problems. It may be that I didn't know how to properly use it. Also I had trouble using the air conditioner.

I made a mistake with the booking and Trevor at the front desk went out of his way to help me - and he did. Greatly appreciated and we will be back.

We requested to be away from the highway and away from the elevators when we were checking in. The front desk changed our room to accommodate our needs without a problem or any issues. He was very pleasant and nice.

Travel with my elderly mom for appointment with doctor at WFBMC. Hotel request for first level, was graciously accomodating. Staff was kind and personable. Breakfast was great; lots of variety for continental breakfast. It was a blessing to find this Hotel, and it is located close to lots of choices for eating and hospital visits.

Staying for family member in hospital, was very accommodating to extend my stay for 2 additional nights. Room was cleaned and used towels replaced each day. Continental breakfast very nice. Only complaint…family at hospital tried to reach me by my cell, which volume was off, so they called front desk gave room number, name, etc and asked to be connected to room but was refused, multiple times. Asked for them to call the room and give message, if no answer do a security check (this was during very early morning hours). Only after my husband threatened to send police there did the front desk call the room and wake me with message to call hospital. I thought if you knew the room number and name you were supposed to be connected?

We stayed two nights. Really liked it. Would stay again.

Good for an economical short stay

Staff was incredibly friendly and helpful! Please see Swift if you’re there! He’s at breakfast making sure guests are well cared for, and he’s so kind and welcoming! The world needs more people like him in it! I’m a female traveling by myself to Winston-Salem from another state and I felt very safe at this hotel traveling alone.

Love the decor of the room. Very updated and clean lines and colors. Love the daily housekeeping!! Very convenient for our visit, near our son and next to grocery stores and Starbucks. Fitness room is nice though small. Front desk is always pleasant and efficient.

We are light sleepers, the hotel was very accommodating when we asked to be moved away from the elevators and the highway. We had a great night sleep. In the morning the gentleman that handles the breakfast area was very warm, respectful and friendly. He made us feel welcomed.

Very convenient location to everything, especially the Wake Forest medical center where we had business. It was within walking distance to eateries which was convenient since we were there after a snow/ice event. The only complaint is that our key kept timing us out each day and we had to rekey it. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay here.

The staff is always friendly and helpful. The breakfast is good. They have a breakfast attendant that is one of the friendliest and nicest person I have ever met. Swift is his name. Definitely need more employees like him. I stay here every month for a doctors visit at the medical center. Only issue we have ever had is with the TVs being too dark and no way if lightening up

Stay was to visit family in the area. This was my sixth or seventh stay. I enjoy staying here. Convenience, cleanliness, comfort, breakfast are all nice.

But two rooms for a week both rooms were dirty. Small black bugs on the bed roaches on the floor poop in the toilets no on duty going on a week cannot get a hold of anyone for a refund. We did not stay more than 10 minutes in the rooms they were that disgusting do not book here do not stay. I cannot say this enough, disgusting

We stayed in room 213 & the AC unit was making an extremely loud noise. The staff at the Main desk was outstanding. The convenience of stores in the area was key for us.

We thought this was very close to where our appointment was but we were wrong. Ended up driving quite a way to get to our appointment. The room and facility were clean and nice. Our daughter had a different room and she said everything was "wet". Her socks were wet from walking on the carpet and her clothes she had left on the bed were wet. Some black spots on ceiling - maybe mold?

Overall I enjoyed my stay. There are so many food/shopping options in walking distance and the rooms smelled very fresh and were clean. The workers were friendly as well and asked if I had a preference on which floor you wanted to stay on. The elevator broke the 2nd day of my stay, but the maintenance man was working on fixing it when I checked out. I stayed on the 2nd floor so the stairs wasn't bad. I would stay here again.
