Disneyland Hotel

My only gripe was that the room in the Fantasy Tower seemed smaller than the last time we stayed at the Adventure Tower. The bathroom door was hard to get in and out of the shower. If the bathroom door was open, it blocks the shower/tub. The toilet was in a separate room so that was helpful. Other than that, everything was great. We would stay again, but man… it is expensive!!!

Overall I was pleased with everything.

I was initially disappointed to not see the glow-in-the-dark moulding/wallpaper encircling the room near the ceiling that depicted pixie dust. But was delighted by the illuminating fireworks lights above the headboard that played a brief tune when turned on. Quite pricey for weekday accommodations but well worth it for a multi-day visit for first-timers.

So much fun and really enjoyed the clean room

I loved the Disneyland hotel so much I won’t be staying at another hotel when I visit the parks. Everything was nice the staff, the room, the decor the pools! My kids, husband and I loved it.

The property is wonderful and staff were great. The room was a bit older and showed a lot of wear but was magical none the less. It was convenient and easy to get to Disneyland early and have a short walk at night.

The room was very clean and had everything we needed but two things we did notice. The wallpaper in the bathroom was coming apart and the lights on the side of the headboard didn't work. Unfortunately as we later noticed after the air conditioning would shut off it would make this knocking sound for about a minute and a half. This was every single time it shut off so I'm not sure what it was but it was pretty annoying. Of course we had already unpacked everything for our stay so we didn't want to complain about it and possibly get moved. After all our view was amazing! Anyhow the staff was great during our stay and they came to help grab our bags. The gentlemen made an impression on my husband he's been there 39 years and boasted about his job. Great guy I wish I could remember his name. I do however remember Jeanette at the snack/gift shop who helped me twice. She's definitely a great cast member. Thank you for having us and making my nephew and new niece celebrate their honeymoon in style

Rooms were clean and comfortable, there were also so many magical details in the room. Staff were very helpful and parking was easy/close by. The only issue I would say is there aren’t enough food options in the actual resort (especially during our stay as the restaurant there was being remodeled).

Everyone very helpful, spotless, cleaning crew was amazing. Had a magical stay!! Can’t wait to return. My only suggestion is that the bars should close at midnight for those of us who are older and want to relax after a magical day.

Hotel was beautiful. Staff was patient and so willing to help from photos to luggage they even gave my daughter a Disneyland balloon at check in that someone didn’t take home w them. Pools were amazing and not over crowded when we stayed. My 6yo loved the slides. Only feature I wish was some sort of guide vs the map, there’s probably so many things i missed and didn’t know was there because the property is so big to explore. We had a breakfast at The Grand and was an easy walk from the hotel. Was able to take the monorail from Disneyland park and come to the room during the day, also got in early using the convenient security line vs the main gate. Beauitful plants all around the property, entry smelled like roses from the fresh floral bouquets. This was our first experience at the Disney hotels, and we will be back!

Liked everything

Everything was incredible. We were celebrating my granddaughter‘s fifth birthday, and it was magical. My only issue was on our first night there we received a constant knocking at the door at 12:15 AM which was an incorrect room service followed by a phone call which was startling and woke us all up, including my including our four year-old. Other than that, the location was fantastic. The amenities were wonderful.

This hotel is so close to the park was able to finally make it on time for rope drop. All the staff was friendly and so helpful my kids loved the pools spent one and a half day there they are super warm even though first day there was 65 degrees outside.only negative thing I have to say is the room water knob was loose so it was hard to get it to stay hot kept having to mess with the knob to get it to reasonably warm. also light fixtures were dusty I was actually shocked on the amount of dust that was on the lamp shade.

All staff very friendly and helpful. Only issue was phone in room not plugged in and charged. We needed our luggage and had to use lobby phone to connect to front desk. Our room was for a party of 5 and only had towels for 4. Had to wait to get more towels. Housekeeping needs to improve. Dirty glass left on bathroom sink.

The room was exceptionally clean to begin with. Staff was cheerful & eager to help assist you. Housekeeping did an incredible job keeping the room clean every day when we returned. The grounds around the hotel were also pristine. Family friendly, fun environment, overall great experience

This is truly the best resort on property due to the amazing pool and “center-of-it-all” vibes. It is absolutely over priced, but we continue to be drawn to it every year as the staff, the amenities, the “Disney-ness” is so on point. It’s a magical experience! I will concede that the older towers are starting to be ready for a refresh ($500-700+ per night when drywall is cracking or coming off in the bathrooms is definitely an issue), but our stays at the new Discovery tower (Villas) was beyond amazing. Our little one literally cried as we entered the hotel room at the Villas - she was completely overwhelmed and overjoyed at everything in the room (as were we)! Overall, the Disneyland Hotel is worth a stay, especially if you’re an old school Disney fan. It’s iconic, it’s nostalgic, its vibes are 100 every time. If you’re able to budget for it, do it!

The room was not cleaned well. There was an empty water bottle on the floor in the bathroom, 2 gatorade bottles under the bed but visible. I would expect much better from disney especially for the price of a room on property. I was also disapointed in the staff. On all of our previous stays the staff has been awesome, this time they were very dismissive and unhelpful. Makes me sad considering Ive been staying here since I was a kid.

Very nice but way way too expensive

the hotel is very dated. we were placed in a room right next to the elevator shafts and wow. all day and all night all we would hear was the elevator passing up and down (which is A LOT). When we mentioned it we were basically told there was nothing they could do. Would not stay again... very expensive for what it is.

Wonderful staff at the Palm Breeze Bar. Sam was amazing! Everyone on site was great. Security getting from the hotel to Downtown Disney were grumpy. One guy heavy sighed when I put my purse down. The next day I overheard security bashing a guest for not pushing the phone holder back to him after going through the metal detector. Kind of a bummer, but overall the hotel was amazing

Our stay was amazing. The staff was very helpful. Especially the valet and baggage they did an amazing job, to guiding us to theproper parking lot that was convenient for myself & kids.

All around wonderful experience. Priceless memories for the kids and it’s their favorite trip so far walking to the Disneyland Park and coming back to hotel was so much fun.

Everything was pretty clean and nice. My kids enjoyed the pool so much. There were some issues though. One of them being that check in was at 3pm. We arrived at 4:45pm and our room still was not ready, so we had to wait 45 min to an hour for our room. Now, this doesn’t seem fair considering if I was late checking out on the day I was supposed to leave, they would charge me extra fees for late check out. The other issue was the food!! Overpriced crap. They charge so much for fake fancy horrible tasting food. Charging $198 for a family of 5 should be exquisite for that amount of money and it all tasted so so and the portions were quite small. Very disappointing.

Also enjoyed the outdoor fireplace The Disney property is such a delight, everything is pristine clean and top notch!

I checked in I reserved a handicapped room with 2 queens and 1 pull out. They gave us a room with no pull out 1 queen. We called downstairs just to be told they gave my room away and cant help me till tomorrow. Wow! My kid had to sleep on the floor. Sadly she was in a car accident and when she woke up she was in great pain and we did get her to a chiropractor which helped. The guy helping us get a new room kept looking at his phone. He told his co worker he did not want to miss his door dash order. But was rude to us and said the room and slid the card to me no smile just rude. Well it turned out they put us in a different tower. Minimal amenities. No slippers, or robes like people think. Run down rooms. The first desk lady said they could leave a picture signed by mickey in our room for my daughters birthday and she could call to get a birthday wish and nothing. The elevators took forever. There not to wheelchair accessible at some of the towers. Such a disappointment. They lost the magic in so many ways. We did not mke it to the pool. Sorry Walt how they ruined your thoughs, hopes and dreams.

The room we reserved was very old. We liked the Disneyland details throughout the room. The bathroom, on top of the shower head in the ceiling there was rust around the vent. The room is very small and definitely needs a makeover. Note, we had stated the night before the at Hyatt in San Diego. Staying here was a downgrade.

Loved it all!

This place lacks some of the simple amenities you would expect from a hotel. The water in our shower was scalding hot at all settings of the knob. The WiFi was terrible and unreliable so we tried just using our cell service and hot spots but the cell reception in the building is also hard to come by. The location is great for park entry but that’s all we felt we paid for for the price. Next time we will go back to staying at a Hilton property.

Walking distance to park is decent but other hotels are closer with more perks. The staff are super kind and the property itself is well kept and clean.

I would say the bar has a fair amount of choices. The pool area is nice. It is within walking distance of Disneyland.

First time staying there and it was magical. Convenient to the downtown Disney entrance. I think we were roomed in the older building of the hotel and you can see its age. A little run down for the price we paid which I was a little bummed about but a nice place to stay nonetheless.

Such a nice hotel for family and kids.

Disney knows how to do hospitality like no one else. Amazing amenities, the kindest staff and people you will meet. They are there to help and do so with you feeling like you are special to them. My kids loved it and it was a worth while exchange. We had plans to venture out of the resort more than we did. Disney did a good job bringing us all we needed right on property.

Only thing to complain about was the water pressure in the bathroom sink…very low.

Terrible because people were putting dirty diapers in the trash cans. We had to call for toilet paper and also the parking is not a flat rate, we paid taxes on it and it was already pricey!

Pool was a blast- especially the water slides. 10/10

We got a family suite and it worked really well for 6 of us. There were two adjoining rooms, with a lock on both doors, so you could have privacy when getting ready, etc. There was also a nice hall area where the two rooms connected, for maintaining privacy. There were 3 sinks in the suite, which was very helpful when getting ready in the morning: One in the toilet/bathroom, one next to that, with a sink, mirror, and plugs, and a sink in the main living room, with a bar, and a fridge. We wished this last sink also had a mirror on the wall close by, which really would have been perfect for those sleeping in that room, on the hideaway sofa bed. Speaking of which, those who slept there said it was much more comfortable than most sofa-hideaway beds. The only thing we would have loved is that instead of an extra closet (there were two, one big, one small), they’d have made that extra space another toilet. It was a little tricky navigating one toilet for 6 people. Other than that, we loved everything about the room! The staff were great, the rooms were clean, and kept clean throughout our stay. Hooray!

It’s hard to describe, but the overall atmosphere of the Disneyland Hotel was amazing. My sister and I had a wonderful time. We had a view of the fireworks which was perfect because we were celebrating her birthday. My most favorite thing was how the headboard lit up with the ‘Wish upon a Star’ jingle. It was truly magical. Thank you!

Overall, it was a good experience at the Disneyland Hotel. Aside from being given the wrong room and not having room service during our stay, it was a great resort.

Room was not spotless, and the shower did not adjust. I requested feather pillow and they were not available.

The location was great. People were nice. However, the bathtub was so dangerously slippery that I fell and injured myself. My family was already in the park and it took me 15 minutes to get out because it was so slippery and I was injured. Just a terrilble feeling to feel so helpless.

Disneyland Hotel - Didn’t clean our room. Asked for a roll away bed and didn’t get one. Some lights didn’t work. Don’t accept ApplePay when checking in?! Elevators didn’t have key card scans. Anyone can go to any level that’s not their own. Very expensive $900/night, for a very old hotel that hasn’t kept up with the times.

The pool was a bit cold this time of year!

Room was not nice. Service was far below expectations (e.g., they did not service the room one day and on the next one had still not serviced it by around 2pm). Sheets/linens were not great. Things seemed really dated.

Disney overall has too many rules. It’s also a joke that their system that lets you use gift cards to purchase park tickets or use to apply to the room was “down”. We go every year to Disney, but we’re going to think twice next year. It’s not worth it.

They have a Hawaiian restaurant, and on December 21, when my husband went there to dine, the host asked to see his passport. My husband presented his room key, credit card, explaining that he was a hotel guest. Despite this, the host insisted that without a passport, he could not enter the restaurant and asked him to leave. This was a highly discriminatory act. We did not see any other guests being required to show their passport or ID to enter the restaurant. Today, we also lodged a complaint with the restaurant manager Marhia A. Martinez about this incident. We are utterly unable to tolerate such discriminatory behavior taking place at a Disney hotel restaurant.

3 days before arriving I tried to shorten my stay by 1 night. They weren't willing to work with me or Expedia to accommodate. When I checked in, my room was fine. The lights kept going off and on with no one touching the switch. The TV went black but still had audio multiple times. No bottled water in the room, had to purchase $4 bottles from the vending machine in the hall.

I was looking forward to this trip since this was going to be super special. My daughter recently went through a liver transplant and couldn’t wait to go to Disneyland. This hotel stay was for the experience and convenience to my family since we have never stayed at the Disneyland hotel . Upon arrival everything went smooth and everyone was very friendly. As usual we understand family’s come in and out of the hotel all hours of the night and morning and tend to make noise . As for our trip back from Disneyland security was called because we were too loud from a fun filled day . It was very disappointing that we paid all this money to be hushed from our excitement . I went to bed a little upset because we had just got back from the park and wanted to shower and get to bed but that complaint really upset my daughter and said she didn’t want to have security come again and tell us we couldn’t take showers or anything else . In the next morning I did share my experience upon Checkout and I also mentioned there wasn’t really any activities for the kids to do . I have a 6 year old son and would have loved more things to do like story time with characters , scavenger hunts , coloring or crafting . I was really disappointed with there being no amenities with us staying at the hotel . Great wolf lodge offers lots of kid activities for free with our stay we also have stayed at the Aulani in Hawaii and loved all the activists they offer for free for the kids .

I’d like to thank the staff — they were very friendly and helpful. However, the room had a strong odor, likely from a plumbing issue, and the air conditioning wasn’t functioning properly. I wanted to bring this to your attention for future guests.

The check in was seamless and the check in agent was very friendly.

This was our family's first trip to Disneyland and we loved staying at this hotel. It was totally worth it for us with very small kids to stay close to the park so we could go back for naps. And, the added benefit of entering the park early to hit some of the busy rides before the crowds started was also a very big plus!! The pool was awesome! Loved that they provide like jackets for kids. The staff was super helpful offering to get us milk for the kids at 11 pm after a long flight, making this is a lovely experience for parents. We will definitely be back!

But everything else was great. The trader bar pineapple treat machine kept breaking down so very disappointed

Great place but pretty expensive

Loved staying here! We went for my daughter’s birthday and they were so amazing when we checked in. After staying here I don’t think I can stay off property now. It’s just so convenient being so close to the parks! And getting the early access helped us be able to ride a few rides before it got too busy

Easy-to-use and accessible

We immediately felt well prioritized. As soon as you walk through the front doors, someone greeted us and helped us to get checked in. Pool was so fun for our 3 year old & at sometimes they had more lifeguards than children present. So close to downtown disney & the park intself. Room service was also lovely. Just wish we could have stayed longer.

Very loud neighbors in the hotel. My son and I got woken up a few times from loud music and what sounded like 20 ppl laughing in the adjoining room. This initially woke me/us up from 12:30am on until after calling the front desk multiple times the hotel staff finally knocked and got them to stop.

My only regret is that I didn’t plan in advance to stay on the Adventureland side to see the nightly fireworks! I’ll just say that the Disney experience is real. But you also pay a hefty price for it. The family loved it and it was convenient to get to the parks so that’s the most important!

The rooms were spacious, beautifully themed, and incredibly comfortable. We loved the nods to classic Disney, like the light-up Sleeping Beauty Castle headboard. The beds were cozy, and after a long day at the parks, it felt wonderful to come back to such a relaxing, fun space. The amenities were fantastic, too. The pool area is a mini-resort all on its own, with themed slides and plenty of lounge chairs. The dining options are varied and delicious. Goofy’s Kitchen was a highlight, with character dining that our whole family enjoyed. One of the best parts about staying at the Disneyland Hotel is its proximity to the parks. The short walk to Disneyland and California Adventure made it easy to take breaks and go back to the hotel when we needed a rest. Overall, if you’re looking for a truly immersive Disney experience with comfort, convenience, and fantastic service, the Disneyland Hotel is worth every penny.

The only benefit to staying at this property is its proximity to the park. The property is tired, the restaurant choices are minimal. The food prices are expensive and the quality and value for money just not there!

Our favorite place to stay. The only thing is the fantasy towers rooms need some updating. Our room was kind of dirty and old.

Close to the parks, Characters greeting in the lobby was a nice touch when we visited (not always there).

My overall experience at the Disneyland Hotel was excellent! From the moment you walk in every thing felt magical. My daughter’s reaction when she saw Goofy and Minnie was something I will never forget. The pool was so much fun. The walking distance to downtown Disney is close. We all loved and enjoyed our stay so much!

The convenience of having the amusement park walking distance was wonderful for families. We enjoyed the pool area, was pleased to find out the water was heated. Staff was very very friendly, and the hotel lobby smells so good! I wish they sold their scents!

Well, first of all you know if you're staying on the Disney hotel, you know you're gonna be paying premium so we did expecting you know it's a vacation to remember, but sure we did remember he needs more attention room rooms look too simple for being Disney. There's literally nothing, they can tell I was in a Disney and it's more more Disney magic I would not waste my money in this hotel again

There was a line at check in when we fot to the property, but the staff were so efficient and friendly we waited a total of 3 or 4 minutes. We had a lady helping us on a tablet then walked us to a front desk team member and not only was check in fast but we were checked in early at no additional cost. The team also surprised us with buttons for our wedding anniversary celebration. Amazing experience all around.

Very little water from the shower head comes out, stains on the ceiling, overall it’s the not worth the price.

Beds in the room are incredibly high off the ground, not family/kid friendly. Room service is extremely expensive for the quality. The lobby smelled so strong like attempting to mask a smell. The pool is small. There was just nothing that stood out as exceptional or worthy of a decent review. We get more for our money at close by hotels. 3/10 do not recommend

I loved the property but I didn’t get much sleep. 4 nights there, all woken up by loud guests and all naps the same thing. Lovely property but disappointed by the cost without any sleep.

I took my daughter and granddaughter here to celebrate our birthdays, we also had tickets to Disneyland, my granddaughter wanted to stay at the hotel instead of going to Disneyland. We loved the hotel and the room was amazing! We will be staying again in the future.

All was good with the exception of the coffee maker in the room. One cannot make tea in this without it having a definite taste of coffee. There needs to be an alternative means of making tea - an electric kettle or microwave.

Love this Hotel, great pool and vibe

Good location

The room itself was fine, a little dated, but clean and comfortable. It's a pretty long walk to Disneyland and DCA and the monorail was closed most of the day. The main entrance was blocked for construction so you had to walk around even farther. The splash pad was just a few little fountains, which was disappointing. Overall, not really worth the high price.

The monorail was close by and that took us straight into Tomorrowland. This was super convenient. Room service was good. Fantasia shop allowed us to buy magic bands and get them setup and charged the night before. I feel like using these saved some of my phone life. Frontier tower did not have any shops inside but it was nice and quiet. We loved being close and able to leave midday for a break and come back for the night fun.

The front desk people were not friendly. I have never been to a higher end hotel with a bad customer service at the front desk.

Property was beautiful and a 10 minute walk to the parks through downtown, but there wasn’t much to do on the property. Pools and slides were better than Pixar and California as we went to both to check. We have been to Aulani in Hawaii and they had so much to do all day. Shows, activities for the kids and their pools were the best ever. Excepted more for what we paid but overall it wasn’t bad, definitely a one and done though.

Our family loved the whole Disneyland Hotel experience! My kids really enjoyed the pools and water slides!

Everything was perfect

It’s Disney, everything is magical from the headboards to the cleaning staff to the carpets and convenience. Wouldn’t stay anyplace else when visiting the parks.

Hotel services from the front desk to the maintenance staff are all amazing. The room is very clean and the convenience of staying in property of Disneyland is the best!

Great customer service

When making reservations I requested adjoining rooms. However when I checked in they didn't have them. Then they wanted me to check into two different rooms in order to get the adjoining room basically the day we were leaving. However I was not giving credit for the room that I stayed in which was much smaller than the room that I paid for. I did agree to do this volunteerly because my family was so tired by the time we got to this point. The staff at the front desk was quite nice.

AS A DVC MEMBER I AM ALWAYS DISAPPOINTED WHEN I BOOK A REGULAR HOTEL ROOM.....for the amt of money we pay I expect a little more.....I guess our overall complaints are not with the hotel, even though our room was not ready when we arrived to check in and when we did our room keys did NOT work and I had to walk back to the counter.....I'm 71 years old...this is no easy task.....
