Reviews
Guests generally appreciate the hotel's proximity to Disneyland and California Adventure, as well as the friendly and helpful staff. However, many guests express disappointment with the ongoing renovations, which have resulted in a lack of amenities such as dining options and a functioning pool. Some guests also report issues with the cleanliness and condition of the rooms.
- Convenient location near Disneyland and California Adventure
- Friendly and helpful staff
- Ongoing renovations resulting in a lack of amenities
- Issues with cleanliness and condition of rooms
- 5/5
Nice property, good proximity to Disney.
- 5/5
The coffee shop, restaurant at the pool, and the dine in restaurant all were very good. Lots of character interactions and engagement. Pool was small for a Disney property and the seating was a little dingy, but my son didn't care about that. He loved and enjoyed his stay. You can see the fireworks from the pool deck, and we were able to see from our room also and the lights from California Adventure. Easy walk through the Grand Californian next door onto Downtown Disney property. We would stay here again.
- 5/5
Pricey but well worth the stay and kiddos reaction.
- 4/5
Hot tub was closed and did not open when they said it would
- 5/5
The hotel is so cute my kids loved it it was nice and clean and very friendly staff. The only thing I did not like was the gift store did not have too much variety and also, we were trying to find some water and the café, store and restaurant were closed so we had to go to bed thirsty
- 5/5
Everything was great and comfortable.
- 5/5
Very clean property! Lots of amenities and shops nearby. Decorations are beautiful. Such a fun place to stay especially with kids!
- 5/5
Little pricy but the property is extremely clean and housekeeping was so sweet to my daughter for her birthday.
- 5/5
Everything was amazing. Pool slide and hot tub were under renovation so they offer to take you to one of the other resorts in a golf cart to use that!
- 1/5
The front desk came up with the most ridiculous and contradictory excuses. First, they claimed I didn't present my ID. If that were true, how on earth did I successfully check in and get my initial room keys at noon? Then, they claimed my credit card didn't work. However, my mobile banking app clearly shows that the transaction was already processed and completed! When I offered to pay in cash to resolve their "issue," they flatly refused. When pressed for a logical explanation, they couldn't provide one. This level of incompetence, lack of empathy for a family with young children, and outright dishonesty is unacceptable. I expect a formal explanation and an immediate refund. Avoid this place if you value basic customer service and respect.
- 4/5
Everything felt save, walking distance from the parks, elevators are hard to deal with, easy check in and check out. parking should be included.
- 3/5
The communication with the staff in front desk is horrible they tell you they will help you out and take care of the issue and they don't. So I ask for late check out when i check in and I told them I will pay for it and the staff said ok yes I added to your stay and he did not I was absent and I don't know if they charge me for late check out when I didn't even stay late I was so upset because the staff that I call in the front desk that Thursday morning told me o yea you can't stay late and you don't have a late check out sorry bye she was not even helpful or anything she didn't even try to help me I even offer to pay and she was rude and told me no and hang up i will for sure not come back to this hotel
- 5/5
This hotel had everything we needed. Walking distance to everything. The staff was excellent. The restaurant in the hotel was amazing, best food we had on our vacation.
- 5/5
Wonderfully renovated, concierge amenities are fantastic and you can’t beat the views
- 5/5
The trip was perfect! The coffee shop and restaurant were amazing, and the room was tidy and comfortable.
- 5/5
Amazing!
- 5/5
Amazing
- 4/5
Clean rooms, modern construction, friendly staff. Very busy elevators.
- 3/5
Elevators were always busy. However, friendly staff and rooms are clean. Convenient to Disney parks. Not worth the price.
- 5/5
Great stay always, we return every year.
- 5/5
Everything was great. Service was excellent. Very convenient to Disneyland and California Adventure Park.
- 1/5
Clean room friendly staff
- 5/5
Clean room nice staff beautifully decorated
- 5/5
clean
- 5/5
loved it! our first stay- staff was INCREDIBLE!! proximity to park was perfect. pool was a little too crowded to use, but i get it…. we’ll be back!
- 5/5
The grandkids really enjoyed the room. They were super excited to see the welcome Gardner Family on the TV when we walked in. We were only there for one day as it was a last-minute stay because the kids wanted to do a rope drop and we had already had reservations at another hotel for the rest of our stay. It is definitely a kids hotel and the pool is set up for kids and lots of kids, but if you’re an adult wanting to enjoy the hot tub, expect it to be packed with kids.

- 5/5
Everything was great.
- 5/5
Pool was nice, close proximity to Disneyland I loved it!
- 5/5
Excellent room and customer service
- 5/5
The pool was smaller than I was hoping. For such a large hotel and with such a large name behind it the pool was a disappointment. The parking not being included with the stay is also inconvenient.
- 5/5
Love the convenience. Hotel was great. I asked to be closer to elevator due to my parents being older and are hard time walking. They were able to accommodate my request. Staff was great and helpful. Will definitely stay here again.
- 2/5
Pool was closed. Room didn’t have the bath shower combo that was advertised. They moved us to a two queen bed room- that’s not acceptable because I have a 3 year old who sleeps with me. Very uncomfortable experience.
- 5/5
Honestly the best hotel I have ever stayed at in a long time. I would recommend this hotel to anyone. I will be booking again.
- 5/5
Great service
- 5/5
Room was spotless and staff was top notch.
- 4/5
Was really clean, great staff and very convenient walk to the park. We will definitely be staying again
- 5/5
It was great
- 5/5
Great service and room was spacious!
- 5/5
There are plenty of hotels within walking distance to the "Park". Why pay the premium for a Disney property when perks like early admission and private entrances are no more? A good night's sleep. These thick walled rooms offer quiet and solitude after a tiring days hike. The towels are thick, the water pressure strong, and the beds comfortable. Little things like real glass glasses and convenient lighting makes for the premium you'll pay. You will enjoy integration of your stay details in the Disney app and entrance without a wait to one (count 'em, one) ride during your stay. The staff was as friendly as any cast member on the property and the shops, elevators, ice makers, all first quality. The TP seems to be where they skimped so bring your own if that area of vacation won't suffer.
- 5/5
Amazing service and views!
- 2/5
Nothing special
- 5/5
We've been too many hotels around the US and this by far was the cleanest room we've ever stayed in. Staff was beyond friendly and helpful and went above and beyond. 10 out of 10 we'll be staying here every time!
- 5/5
The staff in the Creators Club made such a huge difference in my stay they were amazing. Sam who taught the sketch classes down in the cafe was also amazing and probably my sons favorite part.
- 5/5
Great spot. The elevator situation was the only headache!
- 5/5
Room was spotless. Remodel is fun and modern. The couch/flipover bed worked well, but mattress was a bit firmer than my 12yo prefers. Food at Great Maple is delicious. Baristas at lobby cafe do a good job for early morning before heading to rope drop.
- 5/5
The staff was great hotel was very nicely designed but I do have to say I’m not a fan of the elevators.
- 5/5
Amazing
- 5/5
Really helpful cast members. Cool design, right across from the Downtown Disney. 3 minute walk. We had a preferred room with an amazing view of the park. Had a the rental car Location on the 2nd floor, which was really useful. Small gift shop.
- 5/5
Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was clean.
- 5/5
Great staff, elevators are slow though, and spacious clean rooms
- 5/5
Great staff & room. Fun to be in the Disney bubble for the whole stay.
- 5/5
The room was clean and the staff was courteous.
- 3/5
This is unfortunate because my kids truly enjoyed this hotel > the grand California
- 5/5
Fun place for kids!
- 1/5
Bathroom flooded and nothing was
- 5/5
It was clean, friendly and the pixar decor eas top tier. Loved it, love the vibes. Only thing was no microwave in the room and we had left over pizza we couldn't eat cause there was no way to reheat. But otherwise really nice stay.
- 5/5
Everyone was very friendly and the hotel was so clean and beautiful!
- 3/5
Pool nonoperational, elevators too small for more than one family of four, due to construction near by access to parks is limited. Additionally the price per night is almost double that of other facilities with no amenities to compensate for pricing.
- 5/5
Clean. Happy help. Convenient. We will be back!
- 4/5
While the hotel is nice, the staff amazing, and location was good, the fact that it costs literal THOUSANDS to stay and you get zero extra perks makes it so it is not a valuable investment. We won’t be staying at a Disney property again.
- 5/5
Love the property
- 3/5
I did go to the shop in the hotel which was not a good experience.
- 4/5
1. We were miss communicated to, I had room keys and we were told that the keys would also be for our room as well as their lounge. Well, when it came time to go to our room the keys did not work. 2. The elevators. Good god, after a long exhausting day the last thing I wanted to do was to fight 20 mins with the elevators. They are slow and the job the computer does is un-realistic. After waiting 20 minutes for an elevator, the room keys didn’t work, then waiting 7 minutes again to get to the lobby I gave up and called the desk. Thankfully they have a team elevator and don’t have to fight the people.
- 5/5
Everything has been great!
- 4/5
The staff was great. The room was comfortable and clean. Miss the tiny toiletries. We had problems with the shower door though.
- 5/5
Everything was great, excellent stay!!!
- 2/5
Never notified us that our room was ready. When we finally went to the front desk at 8p to get our room number they seem confused. They gave us our keys which ultimately didn’t work. Ended up being moved to a different room and were downgraded from the room that we had booked.
- 5/5
I loved everything about this hotel. If you want to bring the magic back to your hotel room, this is the place to be. The attention to detail and decor cant be beat. I would stay here again. Book the club level rooms, great way to save money on breakfast and snacks. Also perk walk to disneyland is 15 min away and california adventure is a 5 min walk through a pixar hotel private entrance.
- 5/5
We loved it! Very clean and friendly helpful staff!
- 1/5
Checking in the front desk attendant was rude I took my nephews due to my mothers death trying to cheer them up as well they just graduated and the front desk women was rude and dissmissive 😭
- 5/5
It was a wonderful stay, we loved it!
- 5/5
It’s Disney. You pay a premium price but you receive great customer service clean rooms and great perks
- 3/5
My least favorite of all the on property hotels. The remodel is nice and the building is clean with the great maple there it is also a nice addition to eat at.
- 5/5

- 5/5
Will come back
- 5/5
The best-themed hotel on Disneyland property.
- 5/5
The new Pixar place is amazing! We loved it!
- 4/5
It was wonderful and the staff was extremely friendly. I just would like to see a better elevator system and in room dining.
- 5/5
Pixar hotels perfect for our family and I will go back again.
- 5/5
I love everything
- 5/5
Very nice and kind employees.
- 5/5
Very friendly staff
- 4/5
Construction began at 6a and elevators in the morning added 20-30 min to our waiting times. It’s going to be great once it’s done though!
- 5/5
Great stay. As expected, not to much time was spend in the room or hotel - we were at Disney.
- 5/5
I liked the way the staff behaved, as well as the location of the hotel close to Disneyland. The kids loved the water slide.
- 5/5
The timing for us with the renovations was unfortunate. It just wasn’t pretty. However, the sweet cast member who checked us in was absolutely wonderful.
- 5/5
Excellent place to stay with your family. I will be returning.
- 5/5
Our favorite part is how convenient to the parks that it is, but we also love the Disney attitude of "welcome". The staff was all so pleasant and helpful as usual.
- 5/5
Right next to Disneyland and California adventure so it made our trip simple and easy. Love everything about out mud stay.
- 4/5
The shower drain wasn't draining and they got on it right away!
- 5/5
the view
- 5/5
Great customer services,
- 4/5
Friendly staff and very convenient . Air conditioning was not cold especially after a long day in the heat.
- 5/5
Worth the price just for the location alone. Pool was fun too!
- 5/5
it was nice and walking to Disneyland
- 5/5
We had such a great experience at Paradise Pier. Everyone was so helpful and kind. We also had a medical emergency and were put in touch with the house nurse who was able to get us to the proper medical care. It was amazing and so helpful. We are very grateful they offer this service.
- 5/5
Amazing cast member services, I’ve never seen best than this customer services ever
- 4/5
You are paying for that back entrance. The new pool was lovely, but in general, the hotel is pretty standard to what you find on the main drag for half the price. HOWEVER, that back entrance is really lovely - so much more pleasant to go into the park without a crowd and also very direct to downtown disney, which we liked for dinner and the lego store. If you're going to the Disney park, it's more of a walk than other area hotels, so young families might not prefer this one, but those who spend most days in Cal Avt will LOVE it for that single reason .
- 3/5
Room needed repairs, there was a crack in our ceiling and needed vacuuming under table, around bed
- 5/5
Even with all the construction happing it was still a great experience
- 5/5
Keep up the great work!
- 5/5
Amazing
- 4/5
Under construction and needs dining options. Staff amazing. Clean and quiet!
- 5/5
Enjoyed the hospitality from the staff especially Jerry and Robert. When our family decides to come back to Disney again we would love to stay with Paradise Pier/The Pixar Hotel. What a warm welcome and enjoyable stay!
- 4/5
Parking structure is outdated. Larger vehicles have difficulties parking within lanes because they’re so small. Elevator under construction in the structure FYI. Just lots of renovations being done at the moment.
- 4/5
Best staff at a hotel ever. A/C wasn't very good but sure was loud.
- 3/5
The hotel is under extensive renovation so there was no dining, pool or recreational activities. The lobby is beautiful but the rooms were very outdated. The value was poor. It was a very expensive motel stay. The cast members were all friendly and the proximity to California Adventure was great but not $600 per night great. Tip: Before booking, check to see if the renovations are complete!
- 5/5
Clean, friendly staff. They are re-imagining the hotel to Pixar Place so there is some construction. During our 6/2023 stay, the lobby and store have been remodeled. Mid-afternoon during our breaks they were testing the alarm system, but it wasn’t anything blaring. It was a loud statement that repeated for about 30-45 seconds. No restaurant but a self checkout vending store with basic drinks and snacks. Some sandwiches, fruit, oatmeal. We did use the service elevators and they weren’t that slow. There’s only 2 but they were fine. The lobby elevator is a glass elevator. Much smaller and slower. Disney announces all major refurbishments at least a year in advance. Those that booked the hotel…through Expedia no less didn’t do their research. I suggest checking Disney’s website for all refurbishments…both parks, hotels, downtown and parking structures for whenever you plan on going. Paradise Pier has a separate entrance directly to California Adventures. The pool was being worked on while we were there & expected to open in a few months. Til then, guests can use Disneyland Hotel’s pool which is walking distance or they can shuttle you. Parking is additional.
- 5/5
Although it is undergoing renovations, everything is pleasant and the staff is very friendly.
- 5/5
The new decor is really cute.
- 5/5
We were in parks all day. No construction noises. Plenty of close by options for food. Pool at Disneyland hotel was great. Overall it was a good stay with amazing staff. Our room was good. No complaints at all
- 5/5
Staff at paradise pier were all kind.
- 5/5
Great location to both parks, friendly staff. Clean rooms.
- 5/5

- 4/5
They are updating this hotel, the lobby looks great. However ,the rooms are in need of an update.
- 5/5
👍
- 5/5
We enjoyed some Disneyland family time at a great resort. There was construction at the time but did not notice it until we were leaving.
- 3/5
When you pulled up, absolutely no help with luggage. Employees just pointed you towards the desk inside and said to self park around the corner. We were able to check in early , that was nice. No food available when hungry late at night. The elevators they have the guests use looked the service elevators- creaked and we’re incredibly slow. There never seemed to be staff around to ask questions. I saw the construction workers at the pool area- just never heard them. The state of the construction and how the hotel looked it was shocking to pay over $500 for one night and pay for self parking. Crazy
- 5/5
Clean and neat very nice
- 1/5
After paying almost $400 a night and then to find out the hotel is remodeling so they have no amenities at all, had to walk to a restaurant, no pool no laundry room . Very disappointed.
- 2/5
I booked 4 nights at the hotel I didn’t receive and email about the work being done till too late to cancel. Things were broken in the room and just trying to get in and out of the hotel was a struggle. I had to leave in the middle of my stay for a family emergency as well.
- 4/5
Can see Disneyland from rooms and watch World of Color through windows! It is amazing to be so close to main gate to enter park. Also, can go to pools at any Disney hotel for fun and stay after checkout or come before checking to swim.
- 5/5
Will always stay here!! Private entrance to California Adventures, and 2 minute walk to downtown Disney, all the hotel staff are amazing!
- 5/5
Check in was wonderful. Very helpful
- 4/5
Needs more EV spots. Some were broken.
- 4/5
Staff was very helpful; excellent. The property was being remodeled and the main lobby, main driveway, on-site restaurant, and outdoor pool was closed. Also, no fitness center. Will return in future to check out the complete renovation into the Pixar theme hotel.
- 5/5
Staff is super helpful. Close to Disneyland and downtown Disney
- 4/5
the hotel is wonderful and close by, but it is NOT as advertised... You should know that it is MASSIVELY under complete and total renovation.
- 4/5
All is good
- 5/5
Good stay wish there was a delivery service for food since no food available on property
- 2/5
The current state is almost inhabitable. The rooms are completely run down. While I booked solely for convenience it is almost a crime to charge what they do for the condition of the hotel and major inconveniences.
- 5/5
Disney resorts always have great customer service. Although it was going through major construction at the time other amenities made up for it, like the private walkway to DCA and the ability to use the pools at the other resorts. The only thing i would change is the soundproofing of the rooms. You could hear loud exhaust from vehicles driving on Disney Drive.
- 4/5
The staff is really great. Taking in consideration that the hotel is under construction.
- 5/5
It was great, the hotel had our room ready way early which made it much easier for us to drop our luggage and then go to Disneyland park. The front desk experience was excellent and the room is just as described. The hotel still under renovations so we had to used the another hotel pool but it was fine not a big deal. Overall I’m very pleased with booking thru Hotels.com
- 3/5
Location and early park access was the best part.
- 1/5
Room was filthy bathroom had stains on the toilet and sink we had to switch rooms. Loud construction at 0800 woke my family up . No elevator in parking garage so we had to move all our luggage 3 flights of stairs . Very disappointed. Not worth the price .
- 1/5
Awful stay, hotel is massively dated. It mention construction in progress but the whole hotel was worse than a motel 6 only with 3 or 4 times the price
- 5/5
Very convenient location just across the way from Grand California hotel which has direct access to California Adventure park and downtown Disney. Has its own separate entrance into the California adventure park if guests did not want to use the Grand California hotel’s entrance. Under renovation so we didn’t get to see the full experience of “pixar place” but they kept it very clean. Can’t beat the premier view room, Overall very happy with our stay.
- 2/5
When I made the reservation, I was not informed of the massive renovation that is taking place at the hotel. We did not know that there were no elevators in the parking structure, no restaurants in the hotel, not even a lobby to check into our rooms. We were with our grandchildren, and had a hard time providing dinner for them after our day at the park. We paid a lot for two rooms, but do not feel that we got our money's worth. Either the hotel should just close, or the room rates should be lowered to accommodate for the inconveniences, which are pretty extensive. Our trip was spoiled by our experience at the hotel.
- 4/5
One comment is that the hotel elevators were not very usable for someone with low vision as the screen buttons were small and there was no braille that we could see.
- 2/5
The construction started at about 7:30 am and woke us up. We were at the Disney Princess Party which was over at 1 am.
- 5/5
It was an overall great experience, but many amenities were closed for renovation.
- 5/5
Close to the park
- 3/5
Upon arriving to the hotel everything was good. Staying at the hotel made it more pleasant going to Disneyland. When we finally got into the room, the sink was clog took forever for the water to go down. The wifi was no good, cutting in and out. Other than that two issues everything was ok.
- 5/5
The trip and stay was excellent. Staff was courteous and very helpful. The room was clean. Overall it was a great weekend. Would definitely stay there again.
- 5/5
Paradise Pier Hotel is being remodeled, and they did an excellent job keeping the Disney magic happening!
- 2/5
got to the hotel a little early and we were able to check in which was fantastic, however the bathroom was pretty gross with hair (lots of it) stuck to the shower walls. the cast members were very accommodating and took care of it right away, which we appreciated. so while we were disappointed with the conditions, especially given the prices tag, the team did everything they could to rectify the situation. also… as of 01.23.23 the hotel is under construction, pool and lobby are closed. i wasn’t made aware of this at booking, but disney is allowing guests to use the disney hotel pools and grand california pools in the meantime.
- 5/5
Great and close
- 5/5
The staff was amazing. Hotel is under construction right now but the staff went above and beyond to make us feel comfortable. Early access to the parks was a huge bonus and the ease of thing the park through a dedicated entrance was a nice perk.
- 4/5
Great room cleaners
- 5/5
Your desk clerk, Rochelle, was spectacular and went way beyond what we expected. Not only was she nice for me on the phone when I called with a question a few days before our visit, but she was even nicer in person when we checked in.
- 4/5
Stay was great and staff was very welcoming! I only rated a few areas lower because they are under construction but I would definitely stay again.
- 5/5
Property is great, easy to check in
- 5/5
The receptionist at the hotel was super helpful. Her name is Kristen and she made our experience wonderful, thank you!
- 3/5
Super close to Downtown Disney
- 3/5
The property was under major renovations and construction when we were there. There was no adjustment in the rate despite this, and no effort made to compensate for the inconvenience and lack of amenities (including No main lobby, no pool access, and no restaurants/eateries). The saving grace is the location is amazing to the parks.
- 4/5
unfortunately the renovation really affect the quality of experience at the hotel. It was probably more worth the price staying at a hotel off property. I do think that Paradise Pier should have either provided their guest with some comps or discounts towards their room charges.
- 5/5
While the hotel is undergoing some remodeling, the friendly staff makes up for those inconveniences. You do get to use the pool at the other resorts, and the gift shops, and all the other things that you might miss at Paradise pier. We’ve stayed here before, the beds are comfortable. The shower has great water pressure, the Hotel is just older and outdated.
- 1/5
- construction throughout building - no lobby - pools closed- - extremely unfriendly staff - restaurants closed - amenities beyond limited- - strange terrible odors throughout
- 3/5
No lobby Bed with metal noise
- 3/5
Under construction, self parking no valet for the same price. No iron in room. Bathtub drain was terrible, very slow to drain.
- 2/5
Definitely not worth the $500 it cost per night plus 35 dollars for parking hotel is not worth the money the paint was chiping in the room i stayed in room 312 it was horrible
- 3/5
Staff said they would text me when room was ready. I called because it was over the check in time. Room not ready. I called later that evening, and after 5 minutes on hold she said your room is ready. When we got there after a long day at Disneyland, it was a room with a king bed and not two queens. Had to wait for them to move us into another room. Not happy after having no sleep and tired from the all day/night at the park.
- 5/5
Loved it! One cross walk away from the parks. Quite, comfy, clean
- 4/5
Property was under renovation and name change making it crowded outside, no signs anywhere to take pictures of where we stayed, pool was underwhelming and kinda small for hotel size.
- 4/5
Current reimagining had some options for dining and access closed, but staff made accommodations for alternatives. Looking forward to the future transformation
- 2/5
September 25 -28, 2022. Main entrance is close for remodeling. Would have been nice to let me know whe. I made the reservation. Rooms are so old is sad. I had been at this property many times before but rooms now look like they did 15 years ago. Phone doesn't work. I had to google the property to get a phone number to talk to someone. Elevators have a system that makes you wait in the morning close to 30 min to get in one. We wanted an uber but the only back entrance available leads to the parking but there is no street. We had to walk with our lugagge about 4 blocks to get to an area where the uber driver would find us. Personnel are very friendly. All this is not their fault. For the price they charge per room you might as well try to get the Disneyland Hotel or Grand California. They were sold out when I made my reservations. No resturants on site. No room service. Awful!
- 5/5
Great friendly staff!
