    Absolutely filthy. The woman who works for the front desk was amazing. But everything else was horrible. You have to sign in to WiFi every two hours including passwords and surveys. Never once did any cleaning person offer towels never changed our sheets. Never offer towels always have to hunt them down. Keys always need to be reset almost daily. But the worst is that the mattress has no cover pee, blood, and whatever else stains.

    Got there could not find my reservation, as I talked to hotels.com several guests came to desk with complaints or to check out after just checking in. Bugs dirty no hot water were a few complaints I heard as I stood there waiting to get my reservation straight. I decided to leave told hotels.com rep to forget it and she ignored me and went through with reservation and charged me for it even though I left for another hotel. Sad situation. Red roof inn kept my money and hotels.com was very little help even though I still used there app to find another hotel. App was not accurate as far as that red roof inn went

    Too many roaches, my key card kept locking. Only 1 person on the staff was helpful. It was extremely ghetto and the only good thing was the TV channel lineup. And the hot water for showers.

    Very uncleanly was give 3 rooms one had and empty 6 pack and a trash can full of beer cans the next one didn’t have AC and the third one had the inside of a black and mild all on the floor under the bed as well as plastic container lids and smelled like a cigarette so bad canceled my stay

    The property is poorly maintained with plumbing issues and power outages during my stay. The rooms are not cleaned properly, But that's not even the worst - it's the DISHONESTY of the operators that stinks most. Like a lot of propertys in this grade of accommodation, they charge an additional $50 deposit on top of the cost of your stay that's supposed to be refundable but good luck with that. I stayed there on two separate occasions each for about 3 weeks. On checking in the second time, I inquired as to why the deposit from previous stay hadn't been refunded and first was told it was and then then told it was used for early check-in fee. Now if an early check-in fee was being applied, that should be added to the cost of the stay at check-in and have no bearing on the deposit being refunded - it's an additional cost. Long story short, I had to contest the charge via my bank to get it back and the second deposit was refunded only after several requests. You shouldn't have to fight for your deposit refund - or jump through hoops but that's exactly how it was for me. When an operator does this, it raises serious questions around their integrity and ethics and I prefer to stay with an honest operator. I can live with a power outage, a broken toilet, dusty rooms, but not dishonesty. Sorry, no more red roof for me.

    Hotel was in a great area, easy to get to the Metra Station in Arlington Heights. We checked out a little early because the heat in the room was always on and even when the air conditioning was running at full blast we were uncomfortably warm and couldn’t get a good nights sleep.

    For the price this place costs, the lack of amenities and an overall low quality was more than expected, but I would like to think that a room without cockroaches and mold should be the *bare minimum* of what to expect. I've stayed at some bad cheap hotels before, but this is the first time I strongly feel the health department should shut this place down. Beyond gross.

    Toilet cant flush properly. Room was in such unclean state of affairs with chewed gum and junk leftover from past tennants and uncleaned surfaces we thought the risk of bedbugs was astronomically high. Stay at your own risk. Obviously a centralized ghetto and used for people desperate for any sort of short term housing.

    In less than 24 hours of staying here, i have had to change rooms FOUR times! They tried to put me in a room on the second floor seeing that I had a wheelchair but because I wasnt sitting in it I got a dirty look when I asked if there was elevators and he told me no stairs only. I said I have a wheelchair how am I suppose to get to it? So he put me in a room on the first floor. I get all my luggage to the room and went to turn the ac on but when I turned it on it didnt blow and it made a loud noise. So I walked back to the front office and notified him. He moved me rooms again, so after I got everything moved to the new room I was going to relax but when I pulled the blanket back I found a dead bug in the "just put on sheets". Housekeeping did come and chamge the fitted sheet but left the top sheet, blanket amd pilloows the same. Later, in that same room, i see a cockroach on the floor. I tried to kill it but it had ran under the dresser. So afraid to put anything anywhere other touch anything i was extremely uncomfortable. Also in the bathroom there looked to have been a previous water leak because you can see where the paint had been stretched from the water but all thru did to resolve that was drain the water from the pocket and they left the loose sagging paint as is. I went back to the front desk explaining look there was a bug in the sheets and I found a cockroach in there im uncomfortable staying in there, theu said we can move you rooms again.     I stayed 2 nights at this location. Staff were very friendly. However, this motel was not well maintained. Walkways and parking lot were obstacle courses with dog wastes everywhere. Rooms (I moved to another room due to broken TV) didn't look to have not been updated for decades. Old mattresses, stains on carpet and bathtubs, rusts around fixtures and AC, etc.

    I booked a dbl room, paid extra for a refrigerator and microwave, when I arrive I was told that they did not have a dbl bed room could I take a king, I said yes, then she said she found a dbl bed room with fridge and microwave. when I got to the room, not only was it a handicap room with a shower mixed together with a toilet, there was not a refrigerator or microwave, the room was dirty and the sheets had stains and holes in them. The tv was like a 24 inch flat screen, not worth even watching. the air conditioner smelled like mold. me and my daughter was just staying for the night and leaving in the morning, but I do not recommend this place, nor will I ever stay here again! These hotels, inns, and motels need to be held accountable for there dirty conditions after paying all that money to stay.

    Dirty room, towels were used, bed had blood stains, pubic hair, holes from cigarettes on bedding sheets, smelled like cigarettes especially in the bathroom even though we requested a non smoking bedroom. Cockroaches everywhere. Dirty floor. Front desk had poor service, we needed new clean towels and they said they didn’t have any. They left half a roll of toilet paper, when I ran out we asked for another roll and they said they didn’t have any, we would have to wait two days later for cleaning crew. All was horrible. They also charged me way more than the listing said. Also, a deposit was charged and said I won’t get it back for a month and a half. Won’t be back, would rather stay under a bridge.

    The bathtub showed noticeable rust, which was unappealing and further detracted from the overall experience. While it’s clear that this is an older building, the room did not appear to be maintained to what would be considered today’s standard expectations. Based on these conditions, I ultimately made the decision to check into another hotel that evening, paying for alternative accommodations out of my own pocket in order to be comfortable and safe. Overall, the experience fell well short of expectations, and I felt it was important to share this feedback.

    I asked for a second room and was put into a smoking room. I’m not a smoker so I sat in my truck debating if I’m going to muscle through it. After about an hour I decide that I will. That’s when I found out the door doesn’t lock. I could just push the door open. I decided to start recording the rest. The floors were filthy and looked like they haven’t been swept or mopped. The AC had looked like it was partially disassembled. The bed had debris and hair in it. The sink was filled with dirt. The shower had black mold. I told the onsite worker at the hotel that I would not be staying and want my deposit back. He informed me that the manager would reach out to me today.

    When I arrived at the facility, I was required to change rooms three times due to the rooms not being properly cleaned. One of the rooms had a strong cigarette odor. The floors appeared unswept, there was residue and marks on the walls, hair in the bathtub, and the bed looked as though it had already been slept in. Overall, the conditions were very unsanitary and unacceptable for a place of stay.

    No heat in room, space heater was in room but smelt like it was burning when you turn it on. Bed broken like broke broke on one side. Didnt know til the middle of the night when i rolled almost onto the floor. (King bed and I was alone so I was on the one side until i rolled) light above sink flickered soni got ready in the dark. i wouldnt stay here again.

    The toilet had dried urine on it when I got in the TV was broken and had a line through half of the TV that was like white and colorful The fridge didn't work but I knew that walking up the stairs because there were a bunch of people that had bags of food sitting outside the door The phone was broken and it was super cold outside so it was unable to complain the night of I had things to do the next day that I could not be late for so when I came back to check out the next day I had informed them of some of the issues that were in the room and that I had took pictures I was told I was going to get my deposit back to which they took my deposit accused me of damage and refused to hear anything I had to say. This was probably one of the worst hotel stays I've ever had in my entire life I am insanely offended that they had the audacity to accuse me of damage in a room that the hotel was well aware of was present prior to my stay and it probably charged several guests on account of the fact that they did this to me My message here is beware of this hotel because they definitely will charge you for damage that is already present in the room

Shower curtain rod droops to allow the curtain to slip and spray to accumulate on the floor. Filthy "Extended Stay" trash in residence. Rooms need cosmetic repair, this is NOT the 3rd World.

    Room stank!!!! Smelled like humid funk had flys in the room and I spotted a roach if there’s 1 there’s more, wouldn’t recommend pay a bit more for a better stay elsewhere.

    Last minute booking due to flight delays. Desk agent was nice (especially considering it was 1230Am). Room needed an overhaul. Roach traps in every corner, saw roaches in the bathroom, mold and obvious water damage. Glad to get out of there.

    I arrived at 1:30am and by 11:05 they were banging on my door to get out. By 11:30, after I ignored their knocks three times, they started blowing up my phone, reminding me checkout was at 11am. This after the guy from the night before told me I could leave at noon. Trust me, if it wasn’t 1:30 am when I arrived, I would’ve left right then. ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING MOTEL. Never ever will I stay at a Red Roof Inn again.

    I arrived around 11:10pm. The front desk person (looks like from South Asia). 1st he told me I don’t have reservation without checking my ID; then I gave him my ID Again he said “ you are not in the system” at last I told him “ can you try with my reservation number?” For the first time I got positive attitude and got confirmed. Then he gave me non working key of so called room 142; got to go back to the lobby ask him for another one . The room 😭not regular mattress non working tv with cold shower😞. to get to this Room called unqualified … it took me almost an hour and fifteen minutes (it is easy to say I beg the front desk man just to stay one night ) totally unqualified place to be called a hotel

    The reviews and pics looked pretty good but in person this hotel is actually pretty run down. Stains on the walls, bedsheets, not properly stocked with toilet paper, etc., lights flicker constantly and take forever to even turn on. Glad we only needed a bed for the night but even then, I’ve never seen such a thin mattress at a hotel! Do not recommend

    We got a non smoking room and we ended up a smoking room. We ask for toilet paper and they told us we couldn’t get more because they ran out of toilet paper. They only gave us two towels we were three ppl when we ask for more they told us we had to wait the next day at 9am to get more. There was no conditioner and the beddings were stained. Highly not recommend! there’s other hotel closed by pick something else. Worst hotel I ever stayed at.

    I hated the place. The room was so hot when we arrived so we left on the a/c. We got back around 3 am and the room was like a sauna. With that being said we never stood there and turned in the keys and asked for our money back but only received $50 deposit that was asked for when we arrived. I would never recommend this place.

    The pictures that are posted on Expedia do not look like the pictures in the hotel. The hotel is old, the sheets are dirty and wrinkled, there were bugs flying around. Air conditioner was broken. I would never recommend this hotel.

    DO NOT STAY HERE!!! Mold was growing all over bathroom. The room had sooo much humidity that the beds were damp. Reserved a non-smoking room and room stunk of cigarette smoke. Tried to get a refund but none was privided. Ended up leaving and going to another hotel.

    Bathroom and shower were ok Bedding was stained, and some looked like blood to me. Could be wrong on that front. Computer chair had quite a bit of wear, and the other chair looked like it has been stabbed with a fork/pin numerous times. The air conditioner fan ran, but the air was warm. We were going to make sure, but after running out for some drinks we discovered that it was way cooler out. We went to talk to the desk attendant about it, they couldn't get maintenance out, nor could they offer another room (no fault on their part, they were fully booked). She told me that I could get a refund through Expedia and go somewhere else, but the next available hotels were towns away at $600. So we made due. We couldn't sleep most of the night. I did find that throwing blankets and pillows on the floor near the air conditioner fan did make the temperature more comfortable for sleeping, the floor not so much. Phone for room didn't work either, tried calling desk about AC but had to run down to the desk instead.

    So booking the hotel was fairly easy and the pictures look legit. Usually red roof inn hotels are okay but this one in particular was horrible. Down too the roaches , the poop from dogs left behind, and the constant smell of pee and poop from animals . The staff is very careless and doesnt want to do anything to make it better. On the actual site it was mentioned that the room came with an refrigerator and microwave but was not inside the room and had to go all the way to the lobby to get ice . I stayed for 1 night & got anothet hotel the next day.

    Motel was very dirty riddle with black mold and roaches everything was poorly cleaned and maintained. The staff is rude and nonchalant to the residents needs and concerns because they know the motel is dilapidated literally one rainy day from condemned. Do yourself a favor and stay in the motel 6 up the street I did and it’s night and day….I’m serious.

    It was cost effective but the staff were unfriendly, the property isnt in good shape and shows its age ... the rooms are clean but very very old and smell a bit. Notice some of the rooms are smoking rooms so be aware.

Gang type people hanging around hotel property drinking moonshine and allowing pit bulls to roam in and out of rooms.     I reserved a room for MY BIRTHDAY, ABSOLUTELY HORRIBLE!!! Never again will I ever get a room here! I had to have the room switched 3 times for just decent air conditioning! All 3 rooms that the clerk changed to the air conditioning did not work at all!! And the last room I was switched to, the lock did not work properly!     The key card did not work half the time you had to run back and forth to get it reactivated to get in your room. The room was supposed to be smoke free room and as soon as you open the door you get hit in the face with smoke of cigarettes and also smoke from Marijuana and you almost get a contact high from it. I have bladder cancer and I am not supposed to be around smoke of any kind the floors were hard wood floors at least the cheep imitation kind and if you sprayed anything to try and kill the smell your feet then stick on the floors.the bed was like sleeping on a plywood board the mattress would crush down almost flat so you are mostly laying on the box fram under the mattress. I have had 2 lower back surgerys and it did not help my back so all in all it was a very unrestful weekend and when I told the guy at the front desk he looked at me like I was lying and turned to the security guard who was in my room with me and my wife checking things out told the guy yes it smelled that bad in the room and all the guy did was give me a bottle of stuff that did not kill the smell but made you feet stick to the floor. When I said something to the front desk the next morning that I should get a discount she did not say anything just gave me a card and said contact this person to complain. I will never stay at this hotel again and I would advise any one thinking of staying here do not stay here you will regret it big time don't waste your money here......

    There's a lot going on at this hotel just too much for me it's more like an extended stay or a apartment complex people stand out and they drink and talk and they're loud and they do this for the majority of the night there's constant somebody walking outside down the pathways so you it's hard to sleep I was very unsatisfied

    Horrible experience. Very long check in process and, after obtaining the room key, I had to return 3 times to the reception since the key was not working. The receptionist changed me to another room to find out that it was in a very poor condition (rust in the bathtub, burning spots in the blanket, urine in the toilet and floor). I had another room change and I was able to sleep, however, the room was dusty and smelly and barely livable. I am not a complainer, I have stayed in highway hotels before, but never at this level. The team members seemed to be overwhelmed with technical issues and they didn't even remember me when I came to change room. Lastly, I am still waiting for a refund of my $50 deposit (it is charged on my bank, not any longer in pending).

    Staff was friendly and helpful. Room needs a visit from the Illinois Department of Public Health and maybe a building inspection. Stains on the walls, door, ceilings, bathtub, cove heaters and furniture. Ripped up office chair. Terrible patchwork done to ceiling in multiple large spots, most likely from water damage. No cover on the knob that controls the cove heater(exposed metal on electrical control). Multiple holes on the comforter from cigarettes. Food was found on top of the shelf. Bathtub has a large strange spot inside. The showerhead was leaking from the threads and the nozzles were filthy. Towels had hair from previous guests. Toilet seat needs to be changed. The front door jamb was poorly repaired from what looks like a previous attempt to bust open the door. A/C unit just made noise. It did not blow any air whether hot or cold. Mattress springs can be felt very easily through the dirty mattress. The screeching of the mattress springs were so loud that it woke me up several times during the night. The key card needed to be recharged every single night. I would not wish these room conditions on my worst enemy. I have photos evidence of most of these claims.
