Reviews
The hotel generally receives positive reviews for its friendly staff, clean rooms, and good food. However, parking issues and high costs are a common complaint. Some guests also experienced problems with water pressure and drainage in the bathrooms, as well as issues with WiFi access and breakfast charges.

Great service. Great room.

Great overall experience from price, value, check in, stay, room/hotel cleanliness, great amenities, great location near public transportation, food and shopping, friendly staff. I love Renaissance hotels. Thank you.
- 5/5
Parking prices are extreme
- 5/5
My only complaint involves spotty internet service. Had to stand outside to get consistent service so I could order an Uber. Plus, I had trouble finding plugs that would charge my cell phone. Other than that, I truly liked the hotel. The restaurant had delicious food.
- 3.5/5
The staff was friendly, it was in a pretty good location. He had to pay $49 a day for parking. Also, I cleaned the floors up upon arrival in the bathroom in the walkway and they were dirty.

Loved the coffee shop! Also, the parking garage being accessible by elevator was very convenient. No complaints, very beautiful.

This is a beautiful hotel; however, we had 5 adults and though it said it could accommodate us in one room, it is better suited for individuals, couples, or small families. We appreciated the location and shuttle to the airport--the reason we chose it! The 2-room description was a little confusing because we thought it was 2 bedrooms. It was not--2 people had to sleep on the couch sofa, and one on a rollaway -- and we only had one bathroom. We probably would've chosen a different hotel had we known that, but definitely would stay with fewer people.

Extremely nice hotel. Loved the bar/restaurant. Rooms were clean and the a/c was good with a wall thermostat to control the temp. There were no charging ports for any devices, so if you didn't bring a block to connect and plug in, you were out of luck.
- 5/5
The only things we disappointed were the coffee maker that was missing a part in our room and the tv remote that didn’t work well. Everything else was great.

Travel Advisor Review: This was a very nice hotel. The beds were comfy and the view from my room was great. I could see the Capital from my room along with the planes coming in and leaving the RR Airport. The location was about 15 minutes from Old Towne, 20 min from DC and the National Harbour. The only negative remark I have is the waitress we had at the restaurant for breakfast. Unfortunately I did not get her name but for some reason she avoided waiting on my and my guest. We had to keep asking the host who had the best attitude for refills and our check. I mean this lady came to tables directly beside us and would not ask to refill our glasses or if we needed anything else. She acted like she was offended that we asked the chef to put our potatoes on the grill to warm them up because they were not hot enough. They make hot fresh omelets and waffles cooked to order. Other than that everything was great. To narrow it down she spoke foreign and we were there around 8:15am on 5/2/2026.

One minor issue I had was that there was no pool, even though a pool is shown in the photos online. I would recommend removing those images, as it feels a bit misleading. Other than that, the staff was amazing and I had a great overall experience

Hotel was exceptional. Just beautiful and the staff was top notch.

Excellent venue!

The light over the bed did not work. Most hotels offer usb and usb-c ports for your electronics. You don't. No dresser drawers for you to put your clothes in if you're staying for more than just a weekend. You cannot control the temperature of your room. The tv's hdmi hookup didn't work, forcing us to use a tv that is a pain to navigate and slow to process. If you're going to force us to use an app to watch, then allow us a better selection of apps. This is also the first hotel in years that didn't have a microwave in the room.
- 5/5
Fancy hotel with friendly sraff
- 5/5
From the time we arrived, we felt so welcomed and comfortable. The hotel was clean and orderly. The staff was wonderful, responded timely and accepting of any request. We will gladly stay again.
- 5/5
Not something you want to have to think about on a vacation, but their support and assistance was greatly appreciated.
- 3/5
Close to airport Breakfast wasn’t until 7, the room kinda expensive for what it was, I booked a city view room that had it no view

I got stuck in DC due to weather and thankfully they had rooms available. Staff was super sweet and helpful. Rooms were clean.
- 2/5
The room was kind of dirty. There were marks on the wall of something, and mud in the corner.

I really enjoyed how close it was to a lot of different spots. The staff was super nice! The room was kind of dirty. There were marks on the wall of something, and mud in the corner.
- 3/5
We stayed because of a flight cancellation, so we were barely there. The staff who checked us in was very friendly. Our bed was put together strangely, as if the comforter had been “short sheeted”. Honestly, we were so exhausted we didn’t mind.
- 4/5
Very good
- 5/5
Check in was easy and staff very helpful.
- 5/5
Overall it was good but we were missing a couple of basic things like trash bags for the bins in the room and extra toilet paper.
- 4/5
Room was clean, staff was nice and restaurant bar was nice.
- 5/5
I did not purchase the breakfast
- 5/5
Excellent staff, front desk always remembered my name. Restaurant food was excellent, and the gym was better than most all hotels I’ve stayed offering plenty of cardio machines, free weights, and machines. Was there 3 nights and enjoyed the entire experience.
- 5/5
Staff was great. Very clean establishment
- 5/5
Clean room! Over and beyond and kind staff!
- 5/5
Five minutes from the airport, airport shuttle service, staff was incredibly friendly and helpful especially Sean. Before my arrival, I’d called to ask for a shower chair to be in the bathroom as well as a removable showerhead due to a disability that I have and I am very appreciative that those items were already placed in the room prior to my arrival. 10 out of 10 would recommend.
- 3/5
This was probably the smallest hotel room I have ever stayed in. The beds left something to be desired in terms of comfort, and I was extremely disappointed there weren’t venting options for a quick bottled beverage. I wouldn’t personally stay here again.
- 5/5
Clean room courteous staff.
- 4/5
Decent bar and menu . Pleasant modern lobby .

Just a solo night. Everything was nice, no complainants. Looking forward to returning.

Beautiful, clean and friendly staff💙
- 5/5
Breakfast was nice. Customer service could have been better for breakfast. Great burger and drinks from the nice looking bar!
- 5/5
It was a goodnight away from home.
- 5/5
Perfect for a night near the airport. Comfortable bed, great a/c in the summer, friendly staff. Highly recommend. Bit of a food desert though, so not sure I’d stay there if I didn’t have a work or airport reason for just a night.
- 5/5
the staff at the front desk were amazing and very helpful. The hotel is very clean and welcoming.
- 5/5
Stayed here with a friend for the Peachtree race. Super convenient for the race and the hotel put out free pre-run food and drink. The air conditioning stopped working while we were there, but that is not the hotel’s fault. The gym was well equipped and the pool was a lovely place to relax!
- 2/5
Only one guy running Valet. Room seemed poorly put together. Beds werent made properly. Like someone just threw it together. The chairs at the restaurant were broken and worn out. Bathroom was dirty
- 5/5
it was a great place to stay.
- 5/5
My stay at the Renaissance was amazing! Very clean and comfortable. I will definitely be back
- 4/5
Great property with friendly and professional staff. Need more space for visitors at the front (to unload I load)
- 3/5
Nice property. Bookedva king and had to settle for a double. . A little disappointing but still a nice room
- 5/5
Rooms are great Service is great
- 5/5
My flight came in late and shuttle service was supposed to end at 11, they sent shuttle over even though it was past 11
- 3/5
Downside: the hallway smells like marijuana, the walls are so thin! I could hear the couple to the left having a conversation and the ladies to the right coughing! So disappointed because I had to be up at 4am. Hopefully my next visit they can place me in a room away from from other guest/corner. Gentleman at the front desk that checked me in was very kind and communicative. Ps. I happened to have my room key when I left at 5am. When I left out the garage I would have had to pay again if I didn’t have my room key. They should tell guest how to get out after they pay.
- 5/5
City view is the best room!!!
- 4/5
The room was clean and in good condition.
- 4/5
We arrived very late after flight delays. The shuttle was readily available and the checkin process was very quick. We were very tired, but when I went to get into the bed, it had a plastic child's mattress cover which is very uncomfortable and hot. They did quickly send housekeeping to remedy the problem, but it was definitely very odd and delayed our getting to sleep after a very long day of travel.
- 5/5
This hotel is absolutely lovely and I really enjoyed my stay. Every staff member I interacted with from the valet, the folks at the front desk, to the folks working in the cafe and the room service staff was incredibly helpful, knowledgeable, and professional. The room was very comfortable and clean; and the public spaces were beautifully appointed.
- 5/5
We were originally given the wrong room upon check-in but they upgraded us to the Presidential Suite at a great value. Very friendly and accommodating staff! Room was cleaned daily. Would definitely come again.
- 5/5
Beautiful hotel with easy access to National Airport. Hotel provides a shuttle to the terminal, but because we had a very, very early flight we had to take an Uber - which worked out just fine. The downside is that the area is very commercial - so if you want to go for a walk after dinner ther isnt much to see - just office buildings and hotels. No restaurants so you have to eat in the hotel. Their restaurants/bar is fine, but menu is a bit limited and understaffed. But the staff were excellent.
- 5/5
Beautiful Lobby and Rooms
- 5/5
Great service and atmosphere
- 4/5
I was thoroughly shocked this place had no complementary breakfast. I would’ve imagined that if you’re paying at least $250 a night for a room the least they could do was provide you with complementary breakfast in the morning but you didn’t get none of that with this hotel. Disappointing.
- 5/5
Lovely stay
- 5/5
The stay was great, I just wish they'd let you set the thermostat lower than 65, it was balmy when I stayed that weekend.
- 5/5
Great stay!
- 5/5
Great hotel, the staff were very polite and professional.
- 4/5
It was decent overall but it was hard to get in contact with the front desk from the room so I ended up having to go all the way to the lobby myself. Also there was a baby roach in our room and the shower wasn’t working when we first arrived. Otherwise the bed was comfy, the room was spacious and it’s a nice hotel overall.
- 5/5
You guys are awesome. thank you for everything.

Beautiful Hotel; convenient to everything.
- 5/5
2 rooms ready for early check in & only charged $30!
- 5/5
Always a great experience at this hotel. Location is convenient. Lots of restaurants and experiences. Great spot for a quick get-away.
- 4/5
Overall is was good. The reason for only good was your little store for refreshments/snacks, etc. It should have more choices for since there is no other place to get such.
- 5/5
I had a wonderful experience.
- 5/5
Only stayed overnight - parking is expensive but efficient
- 2/5
Not commend
- 5/5
Close to local eateries.

- 5/5
It was a really nice hotel
- 5/5
Lovely stay! Stephanie and team at the front desk were awesome and beautiful rooms. Thank you!
- 3/5
Overall, a very well appointed hotel. Rooms were clean And daily service was on par with other four-star hotels. Breakfast was abysmal. $26 for a Continental breakfast and drinks that show up after we had eaten. And we were there for over an hour. Not enough staff? Not enough attention? Both?
- 5/5
Great property! Near alot of stuff
- 5/5
I loved everything about the property! There's nothing that I didn't like.
- 5/5
Nice hotel
- 5/5
The staff were superb. Virginia at the front desk greeted us professionally and helped get us into a great room early. She spotted my Gold Elite status and treated me like a platinum elite. Great service.
- 5/5
Close to everything
- 5/5
Friendly staff, restaurant is amazing, coffee spot Iffy is amazing, easy for Lyft to find.Great spot!!
- 4/5
Location was close to the airport and seemed like a safe area. Parking in the garage for $44 was a lot of money on top of the stay for over $200.

The hotel itself was fine enough, however the parking situation was a nightmare. I paid for the valet but when we returned back at the hotel at 10pm after the fireworks we waited for valet to come. After waiting about 20 minutes my husband was told rudely by the front staff that he was probably attending to other visitors. After another 20 minutes I went back to inquire again and the same lady told me the valet hours had ended and that we would need to self park. Why didn’t she tell us that the 20 minutes prior?? Spent another 15 minutes looking for parking in the garage and there were no spots. Went back to front desk AGAIN and the same lady said “sorry, we can offer you a refund for the parking” and at that point I didn’t even care about the refund. She told us to look for parking in the streets!! We just literally couldn’t find a place to park. We had left our home at 4am to get to DC to visit and watch the fireworks and at the end of a very long day with our 11 year old, had to experience over an hour driving around looking for parking until 11pm at night fighting to figure out where to park our car. We had such an amazing day watching baseball and fireworks in our nations capital to end the night severely frustrated. Just kind of really stunk honestly to end the day this way.

I am happy that I chose this hotel over other brands. I know exactly what to expect and I have not been disappointed. Clean room and friendly hotel staff.
- 3/5
They couldn’t give me an itemized bill and I have yet to get one from Expedia.
- 5/5
Beautiful hotel. Always our choice when flying out of DCA.
- 5/5
Was a beautiful room and shower, everything was.convenient
- 5/5
Location, staff, room, view, cozyness, ammenities, juat overall everything.
- 5/5
Very clean. Great service. Parking was convenient and easy. Was very happy to have a coffee bar as well as the bar and restaurant. Definitely would recommend. The only thing I would change is the temperature...would have liked the room to be colder.
- 5/5
Friendly staff, clean rooms, and good food. Close to everything.
- 5/5
It was everything we needed and the staff were amazing
- 5/5
The place is nice as expected but their parking is ridiculous! 44 for regular parking after I have paid 20$ for parking on orbit.com and valet is 46$ I believe. I chose valet since is only $2 difference. In all without parking issues, is a great place to stay.
- 3/5
Water in shower flooded the bathroom - terrible drainage design
- 5/5
All good
- 4/5
Ok
- 5/5
Absolutely wonderful stay
- 5/5
Special shout out to Shirley (?) and her colleague who were working at the front desk at 5am on 05/08/2024. They went out of their comfort zone to make sure I had some relief in a stressful situation. Thank you. Because of them, I will be staying here every time I come to town.
- 3/5
Water pressure in the room was too low and I was charged $112.20 for breakfast which was included in the cost of my rooms...so far I have nit been refunded
- 5/5
Wonderful room, big private balcony. I just wish the parking lot was attached to the hotel, instead of being down the block, but overall great stay!
- 5/5
Conveniently located near the airport
- 5/5
Everything was great! I enjoyed the stay.
- 4/5
The only thing I don’t like is you have to sign up to be a member to get WiFi
- 5/5
Great!
- 5/5
Nice hotel. Just a little expensive though.
- 4/5
Really nice staff and a well decorated, clean hotel. I believe I got sick after eating at the hotel restaurant, unfortunately. I came down with symptoms of food poisoning a few hours after grabbing dinner.
- 2/5
The parking is CHAOTIC and almost NONEXISTENT.
- 5/5
Nice, clean and comfortable room, updated clean bathroom, good amenities conveniently located
- 5/5
Clean facility and professional staff. No microwaves in the room, but one in the lobby. There is construction in the area.
- 5/5
Hotel is modern and in excellent condition. The staff is very friendly and helpful.
- 4/5
For it and wait. Also only 3 bath towels in room. When you reserve a suite for 4 adults and an infant there should be more. However, convenient to airport and very comfortable.
- 5/5
Beautiful and clean
- 5/5
Great stay, great size room. Young lady at the front desk was more than helpful. Anytime I’m in the Arlington area I’ll be staying there. No hesitation!!!
- 5/5
The hotel lobby was inviting, modern and beautiful. Rooms were very clean and comfortable. Staff were sweet and accommodating Would stay again
- 5/5
Beautiful hotel. Excellent cocktails and pizza.
- 4/5
The staff was great, the restaurant was solid and the parking was convenient. I will say that for a Renaissance it was a little odd to hear the people in the room next to me having a seemingly quiet conversation through the wall. Also, I suppose it's just society these days, but the smell of weed in the elevators was a turnoff.
- 5/5
The staff was very nice, beautiful hotel, would definitely recommend and go back again
- 5/5
My stay was very good but I did like the fact that we have to pay additional for the parking
- 5/5
The staff is incredibly helpful
- 5/5
Overall we really enjoyed our stay. The room was comfortable and clean. The lobby, bar, coffee shop and restaurant were very nice and welcoming. We had dinner at the restaurant on site and it had a very nice ambiance. The food was good but a bit on the pricer side for what you get. The coffee from the coffee shop was great. There is not much going in the area when it comes to other restaurants and night life, but it is a quiet area. The drinks from the bar were good. We would come back.
