Was told they didn’t have the room I requested then she placed us on the 2nd floor way down the hall. Made it even more difficult for my husband. Upon check out the gentleman asked me about our stay. I told him what had happened and he went to his computer and said “oh your listing was from a third party and we don’t honor those requests. So we just put you in what ever room we wanted to. If you want your requests honored you need to call and book your reservation directly with us and not a third party like Booking.com. Also you had to push a buzzer at the front door to be let in. I asked is this a bad area and she said yes and we need it for security.

Hotels should be forced to add a banner that says ‘under renovation’. I know most hotels would get 0 bookings, but instead the hotels and Expedia deceive guests about the nature of their stays which is almost always based on reviews that happened when there were no renovations going on. You can include in the banner renovation hours and which floors are not affected. And explain you’re charging 75% of normal and comparable rates. What you should never do is lie. I stay in Augusta 4-5 times a year, and have stayed in this hotel many times but I won’t go back now. Very disappointing. Expedia should penalize bad actors like this.

The location was convenient to where I was working but there weren't alot of food options nearby. It wasn't disclosed when I made the reservation that renovations were underway so there was limited access to facilities, limited breakfast options and construction going on in the main floor.

The staff is really nice here, and the rooms are clean and comfortable. However, we were not notified in advance that the hotel is under renovation, so the hallways, elevators, lobby and the lobby seating were COVERED in drywall bits, construction dust, and debris! Like they aren't even making an effort to clean up at end of day. Upstairs the hallways were dusty, phones were unplugged, workers gloves were tossed around. The normal breakfast area is closed, and a smaller area was set up for breakfast, which IS cleaned, and worked fine (except more limited food options). It was okay for our one night stay, but would have been unpleasant for a multi-night stay. The pictures shown on the website are inaccurate.

There was noticeable wear and tear. Kids weren’t able to play their game which was inconvenient in our down time. Hotel staff friendly for the most part but there were quite a few errors. We came with a big event and hotel didn’t seem like they were reading for the large occupancy and needs.

The hotel overall was mostly fine, clean, etc, but at night it was difficult to sleep because our room was humid and wouldn't dry out, and noise from load cars/trucks on the road kept us up. Make sure to request a room on the opposite side of the main road.

The surrounding area is a little sketchy. When we arrived they didn't have our Expedia reservation, and they only thought that we were staying for one night. We stayed for 3 nights and our room was never cleaned. Every morning we were told by managment that it would be cleaned. We would take the "Do Not Disturb" sign down and leave around 10a and return at 10p to an unclean room. Other than that the hotel was clean and had friendly staff.

My stay at this hotel was awesome. The staff that i encountered were very courteous and professional. Any question or needs that my family and i had they were ready and able to assist. I also would like to give a shout out to Tammy and Cherae they were really friendly and i enjoyed talking with them. They really showed that extra effort and i really appreciated them. I will definitely be returning and recommending this hotel for lodging.

The one reason we booked this hotel was because of the indoor pool for my kids. But upon arrival we were told that it was closed. So we wasted 2 nights for.nothing.

The refrigerator was unplugged - when plugged in there was a puddle. Staff came immediately & said it was probsbly because it was unplugged. The shower curtain did not fit the width of the tub. Consequently, when taking a shower vold air cane in from the front & back. The sheet on one of the beds was too small revealing a less than clean mattress. The staff was great but the quality of the room wasnt. My sister & i left & checked in at the Hilton across the way for the sane price. We will not return to the Fairfield next year or any time visiting our mother in Augusta.

The room was nice, and clean. The staff went above and beyond. Upon checking in I was greeted in a super friendly manner. I had an issue with the shower. Within the hour, Jerrell from the maintenance team fixed the spout. He was super efficient, and exceptionally nice. I was very impressed.

I liked the property from the moment I checked in. Warm cookies at the front desk and Ashley checked us in immediately. Ashley was very friendly, smiling and personable. Quiet, and convenient to where I needed to be the next morning. This is a well taken care if hotel. The cleanliness probably could use a little more attention. Me so room at the pool was atrocious and vacuuming was needed but I overlooked that as an overnight duty. Bathroom might need to be checked more often because we have some real pigs in this world who go out if their way to cause people more work. Kids of a certain age may think it’s funny to leave a gross bathroom. But over all this is a really good property with very comfy mattresses and friendly staff. Breakfast was good too. Except the coffee. That might need an upgrade. I would definitely stay here again.

However, I requested for house keeping on two occasions with the front desk (in person and on the phone) but never did receive any, I even spoke with house keeping as I was leaving the room and was assured they’d take care of it. Nada! Upon checkout I mentioned it and was told it was probably a new person at the desk and the info didn’t get put in the computer. As far as the housekeeping person I spoke with, he was just the guy that was responsible for stripping the bedsheets and not the actual housekeeper for my room. In other words it was my fault for not getting the service I requested because I didn’t actually ask the correct person. Up until that moment I had planned on staying there because I am traveling to Augusta next month, but am changing my plans to the hotel across the street.

The service was disappointing. My room key didn’t work and took the staff an hour to fix. They didn’t seem to take my claim seriously until after I had to return to the lobby for the third time. The shower water was lukewarm every time I showered. There was an unannounced fire alarm going off for 20 minutes. I wasn’t notified that this would be happening. I’m leaving my room trying to hurry downstairs to exit the building when one of the housekeepers tell me they’re working on the alarm. I wasn’t called after the alarm went off with an explanation. I won’t be ever reserving another room at this location.

Hotel room was decent. Promised workout room was 82 degrees and smelled funky. When I asked the front desk to check on the AC, I got the impression that they didn't care. True to their word, they didn't bother to fix it. So I was stuck with all work and no workouts, which stinks when you're training or just wanna be healthy.

Really the only negative was that staff didn't appear to be following the Covid protocols that were listed on a large sign in the lobby. We only saw one staff member wearing a mask (and thankfully she was the one working the breakfast area!). Staff and guests alike were unmasked, which was concerning with Omicron spreading like wildfire. We could not see that there was hand sanitizer anywhere near the breakfast area. I would probably stay here again, but would hope next time to see better Covid precautions.
