DoubleTree by Hilton Denver - Aurora

I had an additional room and wanted to use that stay for a future stay but was denied.

Arrived after midnight and the staff greeted us wonderfully.

I was there for only about six hours thanks to a missed flight connection. The front desk staff were great, but I couldn't take advantage of anything else.

EXPEDIA NEEDS TO CLEARLY DISCLOSE THE AMOUNT THE HOTEL WILL CHARGE FOR THE BREAKFAST. My husband paid $25 for a breakfast where ate one waffle and had a glass of juice. TWENTY FIVE DOLLARS. THAT'S PRACTICALLY CRIMINAL.

My sister and I traveled to Colorado and stayed at this hotel. The property was nicely kept, the staff was friendly, and our room was quite nice. I would recommend this hotel to any traveler.

The stay was great! Biggest problem we had with our stay, is that our vehicle was hit by another vehicle in the parking lot and the hotel doesn't have surveillance cameras nor do they take license plate numbers from their guests. Pool & hot tub was great.

The hotel was very clean, the fitness center has decent weights, machines, and cable machine to get a great workout in, and the lobby is a wonderful space for playing games or just hanging out. Staff was very friendly!

I mean, it's really all about the cookies, right? Seriously, very nice hotel, staff was friendly and it's a 5 star hotel. 20 minutes from the airport and 20 minutes from downtown Denver, very convenient.

I really enjoyed the contactless check-in/out process. The cleanliness of the property was great. The only problems that I had was the parking - the parking spots were too narrow, so one car sometimes took up multiple spot and the size of the shower was very economy sized. Loved the location of the property. I will definitely seek this property out again for my next stay in Colorado.

The hotel was super clean, in a safe area, and staff was amazing. It’s not too far from Denver either and plenty of amazing food spaces nearby :) loved that the pool was open to adults only from 10pm-11pm

The rooms are always clean when I stay at this location and the breakfast is amazing as well. The staff is amazing! Tyler who I mostly speak with when I stay is amazing!!! There is one people in the morning on is amazing I can’t think of his name but he has some cool clear circle glasses and the woman who works the night shift her name starts with an L she was amazing as well.

Great place overall, but I had a poor experience while walking out to my car. Right outside the lobby, a woman was behaving inappropriately (twerking). As we walked by, she directed profanity toward my daughter and me. It made us feel uncomfortable and somewhat unsafe, especially since there was a man nearby in a car watching the situation. The hotel itself was good but a bit unsafe in the parking lot.

First of all, I really LOVE and appreciate the complimentary shuttle pickup from Denver airport! The wait was not long at all. I also love the chocolate chips cookies!! The check-in was easy, the room was clean. I like having the fridge, microwave, and coffee machine inside the room. The location was very convenient as well. The only thing I was having problem with was my next door neighbors whom I shared a connecting door with, they were obnoxiously loud with their music as the night progressed. At first I didn’t mind the music because the volume was low and it sounded like a fiesta from afar. But as it’s getting later into the night, the music got louder and the Spanish music choice was awful like hard rock. On top of that there was laughing, then turned into yelling and then very loud screaming. I tried to have the hotel staff to get them to stop but I guess they couldn’t or didn’t. So when it started to sound more violent and I got worried, I knocked loudly on the connecting door, that was when it finally stopped. By then it was 12:35am.

The warm cookie upon arrival was interesting The day clerk (male- gray facial hair) was impatient and rude. His exterior look didn’t match his personality. Meaning, he dressed professional but his demeanor was not matching.

Super family, friendly, but just a quiet, calm hotel, and truly enjoyed the dining experience. The pool was exquisite and romantic and our family enjoyed ourselves with a little quick vacation.

Hotel was nice but washcloths amd towels had stains on them, went to the front desk for more and they were yellow stains on them also. Very good location and shuttle to the airport was a plus. The African american gentleman that helped me during check out was very nice and very helpful.. would recommend, but bring your own towels and washcloths. Bathtub was very stained and scratched.

Rooms were okay but a little outdated! My lamp didnt work making my room very dark at night! Also please fix the Tesla chargers! They are wrapped with electrical tape and some of the chargers are even exposed! Only one is working which is not great! I hope double tree gets these replaced soon as it's not safe and a lot of guests relay on ev charging!

unfortunately, it's an older hotel and the rooms need a refresh. mattress especially was soft and saggy, with first night nearly doing my back in. luckily sleeping in the middle of the king was better for the next two nights. bathrooms are clean, but the heavy use of many years is showing. shower handle loose and hard to turn, toilet handle nearly broken as well. probably would not stay there again.

I didn't do breakfast but dinner was amazing. I had the Mac and cheese with Salmon. My wife had the stroganoff and loved it. Great bed, shower was small for bigger people.

Staff when we first made contact, did not know there location in relation to downtown functions/location(s). Staff should know basic directions on how there facility faces. Was so disappointed in dinner, we did not include breakfast. Twice in trying to obtain and book the right facility, Expedia missed on location.

I expect better standards when it comes to DoubleTree line of hotels. I’ve stayed at different DoubleTree hotels in different cities, but this one in Denver appeared to be much older. Our room had stains all over the ceilings that looked like slow leaks. The walls were very thin, I could hear our neighbors to the left and right of us talking. Then on Sunday morning Nov 9th at 240 AM we had to evacuate the hotel due to the fire alarms going off. I don’t know if it was kids goofing around, but being woken up at 240 AM then having to stand out in the cold in 35 degree temperature was not fun. It took me over an hour to get back to sleep only to be woken up by the fire alarms again at around 5AM. Then my son had a game at 11am that same day so we did not get a restful sleep. I think our club should really reconsider switching to another chain of hotels.

We had a wonderful room very relaxed and slept well. Staff was very friendly. Thank you. We didn't get there till eight thirty in the evening And left at eight in the morning because we had a doctor's appointment.

The girl at the desk was so out of it she could not find out reservation, in face she could barely see the computer screen. She continuously & loudly said "F*@k!" She did not believe me that i had already paid for the room even after showing her it had been taken out of my bank acct. My husband asked her if she was OK & she told him he was ugly lol luckily, expedia helped us to relocate to another hotel.

The breakfast was not free, however it was very good, plenty of options and you could order eggs and omelettes freshly made with the hot buffet.

Breakfast is a paid service, some people double park and the parking spots are really narrow, so expect to drop passengers off before pulling into a spot. For the price it was per night, this establishment should’ve had free breakfast or at least coffee for the travelers visiting aurora/denver like myself. I had to leave using uber taxi and pickup breakfast somewhere else because they charge $16/person for a cheap set of plates/bowls. Cereal, scrambled eggs, make-it-yourself waffles, butter. Very disappointing to say the least but the room is clean. Room service did not stop by for towel exchange, also keep the card on you to access the main door after 10pm. Otherwise you’re locked out.

Pet friendly. Room was very dated. Felt dirty.staff was okay. We ate breakfast once. Charged 15.00 dollars for buffet breakfast that was typical of other hotels free breakfast. We have stayed here several times, but this time very disappointed. Probably won't be staying there again.

First night we checked in the toilet was clogged. They changed us to another room. The second room had a water leak under the sink that was pooling on the floor. I contacted the front desk. They said they would have someone fix it. 2 days later, still not fixed. We checked out.

Aurora is not my favorite city, but The Doubletree is a good hotel with nice rooms.

Staff were great. Room was clean and comfortable. Food in restaurant was very good. My only complaints were the small parking spaces (door dings are unavoidable) and the noise from the freeway was loud and never let up. At first we thought we had a window open, but these windows dont open.

The room I stayed in was very clean and comfortable however the smell of bleach was really strong and persisted each day.

Paid for in advance King Size bed and it was confirmed. When I checked in I was told because I booked thru Expedia they did have to honor that. Could not operate temperature of the room all night. TV did not work most of the night.

I loved that there was a Peloton that I could utilize in the gym during my stay. I also enjoyed the on-site restaurant. No complaints about my room. The biggest problem was that 2 of the 3 elevators were out of service my entire stay, and the third one went out on my last day. I had to go up and down more than 5 flights of stairs to reach my room and the lobby and was not informed of this nor compensated for the inconvenience of carrying luggage down concrete stairs in a dress.

Wish all elevators were accessible! Only fallback! And staircase is unusual.

Very good and mostly comfortable stay. Front desk in the early evening did feel like they were on autopilot and tired of being there. So not stellar, but still polite enough to guests. Morning desk was better. Breakfast and service was good, barkeep for a nightcap was also very good. Room was clean, no issues there. No key issues either. Only hiccup was, the hotel info states to contact them about airport shuttle service. It is actually fixed, leaves the hotel on the hour. With that long of an internal schedule, they should just provide that info upfront, both in hotel listing descriptions as well as verbally upon check in, to allow guests to adjust their plans well in advance.

Excellent and friendly staff clean, quite and comfortable room. Restaurant and bar on site and great. Pool was nice. The only issue was the elevators did not consistently work. I will likely stay there again and i have family nearby.

Staff was great, room was clean and comfy. The only detractor was the parking, and i know that's not a quick, easy fix. Just be aware the parking lot is cramped and was very full on a Saturday night.

The hotel itself was nice, the beds were super comfy and I like the fact they include decent shampoo, conditioner and body wash so you don't have to worry about bringing any. The pool and hot tub were great! Staff at the front desk, very rude and dismissive. I waited for a good 2 minutes while the ladies were talking amongst themselves. I finally walked away and the people behind me moved forward. Both girls stopped their convo and said how can we help you. Mind you the people beind me were white so draw your own conclusion. Then the next morning the gentleman didn't smile, ask how anything was, when I told him I was paying cash he got annoyed and changed his whole face from nothing to distain. Very rude people this will detour me from staying again. The porter who brought my ice bag and cups was very friendly.

I am a repeat customer to when I visit family out in Denver. 2x. Both times were a great experience. Rooms were clean, comfortable, and spacious enough. The price point was competitive. What sets them apart is both time staff was accomodating to my travel plans. The conceirge helped me on my first time and front desk on the second time. This will be my go-to place when I stay in Denver. The only downside I can think of.. .and maybe I wasn't aware of local options. . .is its very urban where it's located so a nice walk in a park isnl't in the cards when you want some fresh air But that downside is not enough to downgrade this in star rating at all.

The staff was very friendly and the room was clean. They only had 1 out of the 3 elevators working at the time, which was just a mild inconvenience and didn't even get close to ruining my experience. Overall, it was an awesome hotel and I definitely recommend staying here.

The elevators kept going bad - we came in one evening to find they were all down and we had to walk up six flights. Smoking area was close to the front door so it looked and smelled a little shabby in that area.

The fridge and bathroom floor had hair (that couldn't belong to me or my daughter based on the color) which makes me feel like it wasn't cleaned very well. I would have shared this on check out if the person checking me out had bothered to ask about my stay.

The people that work there were polite and helpful. This made it a little more acceptable, but sadly the place was still drab and boring. The amenities were helpful and distracting. The bed was sunken and mushy. To soft for comfort. Think of a king size bed that husband and wife owned for 25 years without ever changing it. Bed just felt old and not very comfortable at all. Did i mention there is no character in the room, not even a cactus? I mean, One plant, even if it was plastic would make a huge difference. You could still maintain a professional hotel with a little flora or plant life. The price was right, but that's all. Sad, for a Hilton. Seriously.

While our room was clean, common area carpets were dirty the entire stay (4 days). Also didn’t like that there was no opportunity for fresh air in the room. Breakfast buffet was very good.

Neighborhood is sketchy. Hotel was clean and most of staff great. Elevators went down for service for 4 days. Tried adding a night and person working desk acted as though I'd asked for brain surgery. Told me to book it through my phone lol. Hotel has some nice parts but the carpet is disgusting, floors disgusting, TVs are very old and can't "cast" a device to them.

Elevators went down every night. Climbing 6 flights of stairs was no fun.

The elevators were old and looked ready to give out. After getting off elevator to go to our room. The cleaning staff left all the dirty liens lying from the rooms in the hall. The cleaning staff was no where to be seen. The room looked clean till you got up closer. Our daughter noticed blood splatter on the wall by the bed. The pool and hot tub was not great. Could not see the bottom of either. Our Teenage daughter was afraid to get in them since she couldn’t see the bottom. My husband fell off the last step in the hot tub since you couldn’t see it. There was a hole in the drywall in the ceiling in the girls bathroom in pool area. Parking was horrible, they didn’t get anyone’s car information so when people took up 2 spots for no reason they wouldn’t know what room they were in to ask them to repark. We were told the bar stayed open till 11, we walked down there at 10:40 to get one drink and was told it closed at 10:30.

A little outdated, but everything was clean and well taken care of. Unfortunately, everything in the area shut down at 9:00 except bars.

The staff was great ! especially the bartenders , they gave us so many recommendations for restaurants and the best way to travel. The only downfall was the elevator at the hotel didn't work a few times.

The elevators were constantly broke down. Walking up 4 flight off stairs is not what i considered great vacation

Shower was too small. Shower knob was hard if not impossible to turn, almost got scalded by hot water.

Mis-managed due to elevators not working. Both my wife are disabled, put on 5th floor, and elevators were not working due to overheating. This has happened numerous times, please check to see if has been fixed.

Location and cleanliness.

Wasn’t impressed with the cleanliness and upkeep of the facility. There was an earplug on the floor under the bed from the last guest.

I loved this hotel, probably one of the nicest I've stayed at in a long time. During check in I was given 2 free drink coupons as a congrats/thanks for staying with us for my wedding anniversary getaway. My room was very clean and fully stocked. The shower door did not close all the way but there was no additional water on the floor. In room fridge kept my beer nice and cold. Wait staff and bartenders where knowledgeable and accommodating, even provided me with a complete ingredients list to help me avoid an allergen. Pool was larger than I expected and warm. Hot tub worked nicely (small but comfy). The elevators were not working fully and at one point all of them were down and guests HAD to use the stairs. During that time employees were very visible, apologetic but helpful. The ice machine on my floor went out but the bar had no issues giving us ice and filling our water bottles with ice water. Honestly my biggest issue was I didn't ask for another cookie, those things were sooo delicious and warm.

I enjoyed my stay at this property, but did not appreciate that the elevators were experiencing electrical issues and were shut down 1/3 of our stay. Taking the stairs to the 5th floor is good exercise, but not something i should have to do and still pay full price for.

I feel like i was mislead by the review score. Chose this over a newer hotel downtown. You could tell this hotel was renovated but not very well because it still feels old. The bathroom fan didn’t work, which is causing the paint to peel in the shower. Only one elevator was working when we checked in and by the evening none of the elevators were working. Staircase was sketchy. We were on the 5th floor.

Great hotel, only issue was the elevator was down twice and going up 5 floors is a workout with luggage and the parking is bad right in front of the hotel your car will get banged but once in your room is clean and beautiful

This hotel was one of the worst Hilton properties I have ever stayed. They should be ashamed this is even part of their brand. Upon check in on Thursday, June 19th the first room we got the AC was completely broken. Went to the front desk and they insisted it was something WE were doing wrong. After continually trying, they took over an hour to call maintenance and they still couldn’t fix it. Even worse, the next room we switched too the mirror was completely hanging off the wall by a thread and when we entered to put our stuff down, the mirror completely fell off and shattered. This place is a complete joke. I’ve stayed in better Super 8’s and motels than this.

2/3 broken elevators was not ideal and the staircase was kinda gross. But that’s minor.

The bathroom ceiling paint was peeling badly, likely because there’s no fan, which really took away from the room’s overall feel. The pool was disappointing too, way too chlorinated and hot, with the pool area so humid it was uncomfortable to relax. Parking was also a headache. The spots were so narrow that no one could fit comfortably without worrying about door dings. After dinner, we returned to find all three elevators out of service. Being on the fifth floor, we asked for an alternative and were simply told to take the stairs. The on site restaurant did look inviting, but we chose not to push our luck and ate elsewhere instead. When we checked out, no one even asked how our stay was, which summed things up perfectly. Overall, this place really doesn’t live up to its four star rating yet. It has potential but needs some basic attention to comfort and guest care.
