Based on the reviews, I had booked my room. After I checked in, I went to the room. The room was dirty and unsanitary. There were bugs in the restroom and dead ones by the beds. The sofa chair has wet stains in it. I had my daughter with me and we refused to stay in such an unsanitary place. They also refused to refund my money. I didn't stay the night because of how dirty the place was.

I requested a non smoking room (a sign said it was non smoking) but when I opened the door it smelled like a smoking room. Some clothing I brought with me was not used but I had to wash all my clothing because of the smell!

Do not recommend...its seems like bakersfield is where customer service goes to die. If I can upload photos I'll add photos of the bug infestation.

If you call a bowl of cornflakes breakfast, and i dont believe because my boss was going to pick me up to goto dinner that he should have to pay 10 $ or they would take it out of my 100 $ deposit,room was clean except for tub

Place was filthy with cockroaches..they tried to break into my vehicle twice here and only here in all my time in California..once 4 attempts on my passenger window and once with my windshield...stay anywhere else...

The staff were cool and the room was a very good deal for $33. When I pay 40 or lower I usually expect some level of getting what I paid for but this place had no issues.

Parking was easy, however their so called security was the one breaking into my car. My car literally got the side passenger window broken...sad, end of times behavior.

I didn't believe the horrible reviews but ALL TRUE! DIRTY,GREETED BY ROACHES, RAN DOWN, DOORS DON'T CLOSE SECURELY AND ARE LITERALLY FALLING OFF THE HINGES.CALLED MAINTENANCE TO SCREW IN THE VISIBLE SCREWS FALLING OUT INSTEAD HE SAID TO SLAM IT HARDER 😂 HOMEMLESS PEOPLE SMOKING IN STAIRWAY. NO SECURITY. DEFINITELY NEVER STAYING AGAIN AND WOULD NOT RECOMMEND TO MY WORST ENEMY.

My first room was dirty, bed was not made, trash on the floor, urine in the toilet. 2 nd room was dilapidated. Very poor patch jobs in the war wall broken tile and what looks to be mold in the shower mirror and bathroom dirty, sink was dirty. Walls had holes, doors were broken, paint splatter on the carpet doors countertops. Carpet had holes look to be burn holes. Sheets on bed had stains. Ice machine did not work outlet behind. The ice machine was hanging out the wall look to me like people were living in some of the rooms. Pictures online did not give an honest depiction of this property.

Stayed there with my kids. I like that they keep hotel traffic down...not too much riff raff.

The room was dark (dim lighting) and had random stains in various places. I wasn’t expecting the Ritz but the condition of the room did take me by surprise. The bed had random stains on the sheets/pillows, and so did the towels. No bugs though, which was good. You pretty much get what you pay for.

Front desk clerk tried to overcharge me $10 by claiming the queen bed room that I reserved 5 minutes before I walked into the lobby was unavailable. (The parking lot was 2/3 empty on a Monday evening.) He wanted me to pay $10 more for a room with a king bed. I did not buy any of his BS. Eventually, the queen bed room I researved became available.

Staff was friendly and helpful. Room was clean and well kept. Overall was a very comfortable stay and would use a again. Would also recommend.

Staff was fine, but the property is a run down dump. Noise from doors slamming and street traffic poured into the room and woke me at 630am. Everything is dated, bed uncomfortable, baby cockroaches seen in the room, and the free breakfast selection was pathetic

Stinky old room

Dirty room, said king bed but the bed was a queen and when we raised this to the attention of staff they said they couldn’t do anything because that’s how it was listed in their system. We didn’t get what we paid for and couldn’t even use the shower because of the dirty towels and mold.

I've stayed here many times for the convenience and the room rate. The hotel has alwasy been low-end, but this time was too much - malfunctioning equipment, and clueless staff and filth. I will not be returning to this establishment.

I reserved an accessibility room because of a fractured pelvic bone - they had not reserved me that room so gave me another for which on my bill I was charged a $10.00 fee for an upgraded room which had hair on the floor bathroom floor that was not mine - when I went to close the shower curtain there was a used washcloth again not mine - a coach roach - and several other types of bug. I travel a lot and this was the worst.

Rooms not as pictured on website and smell of fish and curry. Probably from outside surroundings. Very disappointed you used to know to expect from a hotel based on the name but this travelodge by wyndham was very disappointing and not up to the brand. I even had to pay extra for a non smoking room. Which has always been pay extra for smoking.

This was perfect for just getting off the road for a night on the drive home. Anything longer than that, I wouldn't recommend it. Everything is filthy and or broken, sink shoots water, tub is grimy, coax is broken on the tv, the pool is scary looking. Not much care has been put into this property. Beds were fine though.

Only notable downside was the proximity of a night club next door that was loud till 2am.

Not very clean our sheets had stains. The people next to us kept slamming the door all night. There was a homeless person sleeping by our door. Toilet didn’t flush. Would never stay there again

From checking in it was horrible clerk was rude and mad when questioned about additional charges. He gave me the worst room possible. I had requested a downstairs room close to office as I am disabled and 65 traveling alone. I was at this same motel one week prior and given a decent room within what I requested. First key to room did not work and room was on second floor farthest bldg from office. It was very late at night and there were vagrants in parking lot people in cars smoking behind building I had to go all the way back to office to get working key again I told him stairs were very difficult and I didn't feel safe that there were people at back of bldg. he said to bad it's the only room. Went back to room and room was uninhabitable. Filthy, bugs crawling I took pictures and did not stay in room The smell was horrible and I thank goodness did not bring any of my belongings into room. I tried to tell clerk about room he would not acknowledge me at the window. I sat in my car and called first thing in the morning to report experience. Requesting a refund but even with pictures got nothing. They did not even look at the pictures. I paid $60 for nothing. Something should have been done. .

The room needs a little TLC. Floor is peeling, shower needs updating, sink needs adjusting so the water don't drip on the floor when your washing something. Parking is plenty...

Between the TV not working, the roach in the shower, the stains on the shower curtain, the bugs in the room, the guy tweaking downstairs, and the remnants of the party at the pool the night before, I’m not sure what the worst part was. And we were given “the nicer room”.

I have huge welts from bug bites after trying to sleep there last night.

The bed has bugs no sleep at all and the tv not works. Ia ask severall times to fix it and never coma in no body

Overall was good, bathroom was not great the bathtub needed to be redone. The tile had mildew and not much shower pressure. The bed was very comfortable and clean. The swimming pool was clean.

DO NOT STAY HERE. Room had 3 large roaches when I got there. Fridge was soaking in a puddle of water def got rooms switched but still experienced less roaches and lots of mosquitoes. Stray cats roam the area heavily. Lots of homeless around the nearby area. Pool looks like it needs a deep clean and remodel. Bed sheets are nasty thank god I brought my own blankets. Checked in at 2am and out at 9am couldn’t stay and get proper rest. Checked out a day early and booked another hotel. Lesson learned don’t pick this motel. Shame on you Wyndham for serving customers with this awful place. There are bed bugs roaches and more. Don’t stay here!!!!!!!!

The staff was very welcoming. My room however had some issues, but the staff quickly resolved them and I was happy for my stay. There isn’t many amenities at this hotel but I also paid an eco cost and I’m fine.

I screwed up and got a smoking room cause I vape and will never do that again. It was gross and I’ve stayed there before and it was decent. So I learned my lesson. I did see a cockroach or 2 so yah not good.

The staff lied about the pool and was rude to us every time we had a question. The room was dirty with large roaches. The showerhead sprayed water everywhere and the tub had to be cleaned before using it. The balcony rail was wobbly, the chair was broken and there were cigarette butts all over.

Pool area needs attention from patio stains to overflowing garbage to broken lounge chairs. Pool was poorly filtered and cloudy green.

Decent at the price we paid

We stopped here on the way to Sequoia National Park for a one night stay late at night. The place is old and not well kept. When we woke we noticed blood spots on the bedding, so knew we got bit by bed bugs. Sure enough, a few hours later we were covered in bite marks. We also killed a roach in the room on the way to check out. I called to report it to management and was told I would get a call back. I will be reporting them to the health department on Monday. Do NOT stay here.

I liked nothing there. Once room lights were turned down for night, the room was loaded with cockroaches and baby ones all over tub. Showerhead dribbled, not spray. My travel companion has alzheimers & I was assured another room 4 doors down, no cockroaches. NOT true! Same thing. It was confusing for my charge with Alzheimer to move rooms much less go to another hotel. Had family member wedding, family reunion. Way too busy to move. Homeless were being housed at motel. Gal next door was doing prostitution all night with a string of customers. And with those customers, I would be outside to smoke and I was approached to buy drugs! Scary place. The owner is from India and I wanted a refund. Promised call, he never called and when expedia called the supervisor, no refund offered for all this garbage. Unsafe, cockroaches carrying disease, hooker. It was a nightmare. The owner is from India and must be treating Americans like many in his overpopulated country live ... unfair, mean. Do not stay here, you might get sick or murdered or at least grossed out. (I like India people overall btw) ....rob

There was mold on the ceiling above the shower and I had to clean the bathroom before my kids could use it..

I loved the experience

The guy behind the desk when I checked in was great. The guy when I was checking out was rude. Someone knocked on my window a few times during my stay, the door entering the room didn’t properly seal. The A/C system is older had some issues keeping up if the bathroom door was open.

There were people outside my room that were on drugs. Also people were fighting in the room next door. Also people were smoking outside our door and smoke came in the ac. Also our toilet ran all night.

Worst motel ever walked in the room. The furniture look like it came out of a secondhand store. Cigarette burn holes in the blankets TV did not function. No amenities in the room no coffee maker, no cloth iron, dirty floors, clean shower, homeless in the parking lot. Staff was very friendly. Will definitely not be staying there ever again.

The shower valve didn’t properly work. A nearly guest at smoked in the area outside his room, we could smell it. Other guests came back to their room after midnight and were loud. A homeless person stayed in an alley across lot from our room. Breakfast was cereal, coffee and packaged hostess doughnuts.

It was great. And it's a clean an friendly place. The housekeepers are excellent and friendly. I recommend this place for family traveling and it's close to fast food restaurants too.

Nice enough place, staff and owner were pleasant to talk to. Great price to lay your head, especially if you have a dog. We had single cup coffee maker, microwave and fridge in our 2 full bed room and filtered hot/cold in the lobby which was nice to refill bottles instead of going out and buying more. But at 2AM the nearby bar lets out and it gets crazy loud in the parking lot - I suppose if you have a room around the back, by the freeway you may not hear the car & motorcycle revving contest and all the yelling and screaming that accompanies it - then all of a sudden - its gone and its quiet again.

The room and property did not look clean

It seemed like they had transients living in the hotel. The cleanliness of the bed covers was not that great. And the shower/bathtub had mold in the grout. Kind of grossed me out. But the sheets and pillows appeared fresh.

If you guys do not like my review gets a scrubbing, other than that the younger chick in the office was cool the older women not so forgiving towards the end she did give me my deposit early because I had to catch the train at 4 AM and she didn’t wanna give me a deposit back for the room that’s already dirty that I left clean it was cool it was an OK day. They have a beautiful pool sparkling clean pool beautiful beautiful landscape with the plants in the bushes really really wonderful I really loved that they had balconies. That’s a plus that’s amazing go out and sit down and get some fresh air in the bathroom gotta get cleaned. That’s my only my only complaint other than that it was a great day. Stay for almost a week I would stay again I really would but I hope there’s no more than my bathroom. Take care.

I need mom time said if i have anyone my room take 100 deposit room up 2 people but point rude not a hooker or something i felt. She wouldnt show me my room daughter had to help me. I rent room so i can have pool relax pool closes 9 pm. I ask if she could open pool she said were close at 8 pm i said says close 9 pm she said oh it does she unlocks it said they need change time. I came have alone time felt like i was so discrimnated ruin my night.

i loved that they had balcony for each room however might not be safe to go out on um beautiful trees and bushes however that area by pool was advanced to a party or something umm our view was concrete the shower in this room 2 bed was moldy and did not drain so water stays in bottom while you shower door in bathroom don’t shut floors philthy hall not so fresh umm real sketchy really but hey i mean the picture on expedia looked great hahah wowzers better luck next time huh ..

What i did not like was the noise from the bar next door and all the traffic noise. I asked to be moved but there was no 1 bed down stairs room available.
