Reviews
The hotel is praised for its excellent location near the Inner Harbor and Little Italy, with numerous shopping and dining options nearby. The staff, particularly in the breakfast area, are frequently commended for their top-notch service. However, the suites are consistently criticized for being outdated and in need of refurbishment. Issues with amenities such as internet, TV channel listings, and air conditioning are also mentioned.

Very bad experience. Old, dirty rooms. When we asked for another room, we were told none were available. Heavily soiled carpet and furniture. Burns stains in carpet and furniture. Sat on the bed and the frame broke, then they all of a sudden had other rooms. They switched us a room that didn't have working AC. Wanted us to move again and offered no support. I will never return.

Great location. Parking convenient. Room was clean and comfortable. Nice breakfast.

Our family really enjoyed our time in Baltimore, and this was a nice compliment to our experience. I appreciated how there was parking available (even though it's through a separate ramp and payment), it was very convenient in a downtown area. The location was excellent, felt safe, close to dining options, and was walkable to the harbor. Make sure to enjoy the breakfast, it was a valuable addition to the stay and a great way to begin our morning. It's connected to a Starbucks and they even offer cookies in the afternoon. Great for families and for business.

Everything was clean and fresh. Breakfast was good. Highly recommend. Staff at the desk were very accommodating and professional

If you are travelling with a family and want to be centrally located at a reasonable price, then this hotel is for you. The rooms are large and well located (5 minute walk to the central pier). The rooms are a little dated/worn and could use a renovation. The breakfast is okay with generous opening hours, and the parking (at the rear of the hotel) is reasonably priced (we paid 50 dollars for 48 hours). The staff are friendly and helpful..

This was my first stay at Homewood Suites for my annual visit to a music festival in Baltimore. After my incredible stay it definitely won't be my last. My room was clean, comfortable and had every amenity I needed for my 5 day stay. The staff was super friendly, helpful and professional. I truly enjoyed this trip and Homewood Suites had a lot to do with that.

When I book a 4+ star hotel I don't expect to see wallpaper peeling off the walls at the seams in every area of the room, it was the same in 3 difference rooms. The furniture in the sitting area had tears, stains and no comfort, it was just old. We had to use pillows from the bed just to be comfortable. The baroom was very dated with lots of caulking. We constantly had to take the lid off the back of the toilet because the chain kept getting caught under the flapper. The shower nozzle had settings to adjust to your comfort but it didn't work either. It had one setting, extreme pressure. Kitchen area had flooring from the 80s. We had to switch rooms because of ants in the first one and a wore out mattress. There was no AC in any of the hallways leading to the rooms. Just intense heat. When you walk into lobby there are huge stains on the carpet with worn out furniture with frayed edges. The lounge where you can have drinks and breakfast is comparable to one you would find at a budget hotel. As i stated the wow factor just wasnt there, Nothing to impressive you at all. No door man to greet you. I ask one of the hotel representatives why dids everything in this hotel look like its tired and dated, she told me they were due for an upgrade. If your hotel is less than impressive then don't arge premium prices only for your guest to be disappointed with their stay. I which i had spent the extra $600 and stayed at the 4 Seasons considering we were stuck inside 2 days due to the rain.

Good variety of breakfast items. Room was very spacious and staff was very friendly. Rooms could use a few upgrades as carpet was stained and wallpaper was peeling. Great location and value for the money!

The location was great and it was great to be able to walk to most attractions. My son loved the view from the window The breakfast was ok, but I think if a small fee was assigned like no more than $25-$30 to get more options I think I would not mind that option. Also, I wish the parking situation could have been explained more clearly in my pre arrival instructions as I would have just gone to the parking lot to avoid traffic in front of the hotel.

Right after entering the room we literally bounced out after seeing the overused stained furniture and carpet. The quality of bedding, lighting and almost every other amenity was far from what we expected to get for the price this hotel goes for (not a cheap motel rate at all). They offered another room that we checked but it wasn’t any different so we asked them to cancel our 3 nights stay. Figured we were better off finding another hotel even though it was close to midnight after a long flight. The only redeeming feature of this hotel was the polite and cooperative staff who understood and acknowledged the problems. Probably used to irate guests. I pity their situation of trying to manage a run down hotel.

The room was unmaintained. Dirty lampshades. Terrible sheets we had to actually check out.. I normally stay in luxury hotels and that may be why I dislike this so much. However, I was only in town for a doctors appointment and thought that it would be OK but it was not. I could not take it. We had to check out after one and a half hours and they still charged us for the night. I would never stay here again however the staff was very nice and did everything they could as much as they could to help however, the owner does not replacing things in it even though it’s a low hotel it could’ve been cleaner and more maintained.

The staff were great. Very helpful with awesome customer service. I didn’t go to complementary breakfast or utilize the gym. But parking was reasonably priced at $25 per day with in/out privileges. Rooms were spacious. My only complaint was the morning of our check-out date, there was no hot water. It was barely lukewarm. The location is great with everything in walking distance.
- 2.5/5
Breakfast was wonderful, staff attending it very professional and friendly. We were perfectly happy with the accommodations except….we both got bedbug bites during our stay. I don’t think they were necessarily in the bed, but in the couch. We've gotten bedbug bites before from hotels and recognize them.
- 1/5
Room was not good. needs serious updates. Stains on the couch, blankets not new with strings hanging from them. Cracks in the wall and ceiling and the hot water did not work in the morning.
- 5/5
It was great
- 5/5
I loved everything about the property . The staff was great and accommodating. The room was clean the bed was comfortable. The breakfast was great and the location was top tier I have nothing negative to say
- 3/5
The room could have used a deep cleaning! There was hair all in the clean linen, towels and on the bathroom floor and in the tub! I’m glad I had wipes with me! The furniture was not clean and the room also stenched of smoke! There was a heavy presence of a watermelon deodorizer to mask the smell. The carpet was also in need of a shampoo!
- 4/5
Outdated, the room didnt have hot water, bed wasn't very comfortable
- 2/5
Not clean, we had ants, the room needed heavy renovations/fixtures
- 3.5/5
The property was nice and welcoming. The smell of the rooms. It had a sweat smell to the room
- 5/5
Everything was absolutely amazing
- 4.5/5
Space, staff, value….all exceptional. They were all very attentive and responsive to any and all concerns. Location was great. We will stay again!! One burner on stove not working, soap dispenser at kitchen sink was not functional, under kitchen sink needs to have some kind of subfloor.. it was gross! Sofa bed was very uncomfortable! Needs more padding or thicker mattress. Disappointed no fireplace as depicted in photos. Wish booking had indicated that the pool at the attached fitness center was not operational prior to booking. We still would have stayed, but that was a disappointment.
- 3/5
No hot water when we arrived. Correctly resolved at the next morning.

On my first night room 459 the toilet was broke. They moved me to room 565 on my second and the water was pass freezing. It was a horrible experience to say the least.

Breakfast was marvelous each morning Park in garage at 650 S Exeter and take lobby elevator right to hotel lobby ..no walking Quick access to pier walking bridges, movies next door, shopping
- 5/5
The staff was extremely nice, the room was FABULOUS!! Breakfast was AMAZING!!
- 4.5/5
It was a 10 minute walk to the aquarium, which is why my family and i made the trip to baltimore. Staff was very helpful when checking in, and the breakfast had a great selection. The bed and sofa bed weren't great, but for one night it was exactly what we were looking for! The bed and sofa bed wasnt super comfortable and the parking garage elevator was a little weird.

If you want to smoke weed and hang out like if you are in a frat party, than this is the place for you. I had to request a room change because the whole floor and room smell like marijuana. The staff were very pleasant and extremely embarrassed about the situation. Its unfortunate. I would not stay here again. I'm sorry if i want to go to the hood than ill go here but that is not my preference. To think it was for a volleyball tournament for middle school girls. Very disturbing....

Staff was so friendly, made check in/check out extremely easy. Every staff we saw would greet us right away. Breakfast was yummy. Room was nice & clean. No complaints staying here.

Clean but everything is old and appliances outdated. Breakfast buffet has not many options but location is good.
- 5/5
The location was perfect. I was attending a conference in the Marriott Hotel across the street. The rooms at the Marriott were twice as much as Homewood Suites. The bed was very comfortable with plenty of pillows. The kitchen was functional - I cooked 3 meals there. The staff was very helpful. The couch in the room was not particularly comfortable, but it was a nice space to be in.

Nice clean room with a great view
- 4/5
The room is big and the amenities like the big patio dog park on the 8th floor are great.
- 4/5
The hotel is quite run down with old furniture in the room. The couch was very uncomfortable Kitchen utensils were minimal

Yes. Asked for housekeeping twice. Didn't receive any. I will try my best to avoid this property and brand.
- 4/5
Room was clean , friendly staff , breakfast less desirable
- 3/5
Staff was very friendly. The room we booked was only available if we accepted it minus a blind. But they did upgrade us to a suite. It was a bit dated and needs an upgrade
- 5/5
Rooms are always nice and clean, they send text messages to make sure everything is going well or if I needed anything. Staff is wonderful
- 5/5
Staff was friendly and especially nice at breakfast. We booked a block for a wedding and everyone enjoyed the rooms as we visited each other in rooms and at breakfast. The location is so awesome with people taking walking trips to the aquarium, Fells Point, and Little Italy. So close to a whole foods that those with special diets were able to have what they needed in their fridges.
- 5/5
Staff is great. Breakfast was excellent.
- 5/5
The room was clean and positioned well; staff was very helpful and offered suggestions on places to eat when asked - Loved this!

- 4/5
Great location. Easy, safe, well lit parking. Friendly Staff. The rooms was a bit run down. Stain on the couch, bathrooms outdated. But I would stay there again because of the location and value.
- 4/5
The room was very clean, but some nicks 'n' nacks on the furnishings. Not much in the lobby, but it is nice to have a Starbucks right next-door and accessible through the lobby. Still, this is a great deal, price wise, compare compared to the other luxury hotels nearby.
- 5/5
Breakfast was excellent

Needs some love - furniture replacement... leaking shower... but loved my stay and would happily return.
- 5/5
Amazing location! Wonderful breakfast options included and they took care of everything, even finding us transportation to the cruise port.
- 1/5
This hotel needs to be shut down & remodeled. It was literally crumbling & very dirty. The couches had head rest grease stains & threadbare cushions.
- 3/5
Long story short, I was fined $140.00. The disappointment came when I shared my delema with the clerk she seemed to care less. I know there were signs for payment in the garage but nothing to declate whether you stayed at the hotel or were just parking for the day. I hoe in the future hotel patrons are made aware of the parking process Incidently, I spoke with tree other guests in the same situation as I.
- 5/5
Excellent option when choosing to visit Baltimore
- 5/5
Rooms had plenty of space, beds were comfy and the breakfast was great
- 5/5
Great location! On the edge of Little Italy and the harbor. Room was huge, separated living room, bedroom. Loved the safety elevator.
- 2/5
The checking process was not friendly at all, the first thing I hear is: you dont have a reservation with us. Clearly she was not reading my name from my drivers liscence, no directions to the elevator, etc
- 2/5
This hotel needs a refresh terribly. The closet door was broken and inoperable. The furniture was worn and gross. There were holes in the carpet and the shades. I checked out early and won’t stay there again.
- 5/5
This is close to the inner harbor which is full of all of the places we wanted to see and eat.
- 5/5
Awesome suite, clean comfy. Bed extremely comfy with lots of pillows. We arrived on a Wednesday in time for their weekly reception including assortment of cheeses, fruits, salad soup and wine & beer. After a long drive it was a pleasant welcome.
- 4/5
The view was amazing. They can do better with breakfast choices.
- 3/5
I’ve stayed at this hotel a few times, but this visit was time
- 5/5
Everything was great !
- 1/5
We had a family medical emergency and had to cancel last minute. I had purchased insurance to ensure that we could cancel at any time and I have not received any type of response about a refund.
- 3/5
We found the two full beds and pillows very unpleasant and uncomfortable, to be honest, been one of the worst sleeps I had in a long time.
- 3/5
Crazy that the bathroom is an ensuite in a 1 bedroom suite where the person on the sofa has to sneak quietly into the bedroom/bathroom to not wake up the person in the bed. Will not stay in that setup again.
- 4/5
It was a bit smaller than what I expected from pictures. Understand that happens with pictures. Couch was stained, blinds didn’t work in living room area. Remotes didn’t work but front desk sent someone up to fix it.
- 4/5
is it very good place
- 5/5
Ez cruise port access via Uber. Easy walk to little Italy for outstanding dining options. Starbucks in the building makes up for the awful provided coffee. The suite had kitchen facility and great water pressure in the bath. Clean - but small odd beds. Still for the price worth it for a one night precruise stay
- 5/5
Good
- 4/5
It was good. The room was decent. The breakfast could be a lot better.
- 5/5
The hotel is clean and the staff is amazing
- 5/5
The guy Sam at the breakfast buffet was fantastic. Extremely friendly to everyone.
- 5/5
Fast and easy process and friendly staff!
- 3/5
I wasn't thrilled with having maid service only once in 4 nights with bare minimum cleaning and fire alarm beeper most of the first night due to low battery
- 1/5
We had to change room 3 times. Odor in the room is uintolerable and everything was dirty in all 3 rooms. We felt like we are trapped. Hotel won’t give us refund because I booked with you and you couldn’t do anything to make our stay better. We were visiting for medical reasons, we had 6 doctors appointments and everything was exhausting. We couldn’t rest at all overnight.
- 2/5
가격이 상대적으로 저렴한 것은 오래된 호텔이라고 생각하시면 될 것 같습니다.
- 4/5
Very convenient close to everything
- 4/5
Breakfast options were great. Suites are spacious and comfortable. Appreciate the hospitality of the staff. Thank you
- 4/5
Great location. Rooms are spacious and staff pleasant.
- 5/5
The front of the house staff and bell (man, his name is slipping my mind) were super helpful and extremely nice. They said they would hold our things if our room wasn't ready, which it was. They even took our things up to our room and brought everything in for us. We also had a fantastic view of the port from our room.
- 5/5
Awesome hotel and great location!
- 4/5
Wonderful for its location but needs some TLC.
- 5/5
Had a good time
- 2/5
Our room smelled awful. The hallways and our room smelled like wet dogs, and the room where the ice was kept smelled … worse. The door to our stuck and we got locked out, which wasn’t a huge deal, but inconvenient. The mattresses were the worst of any hotel I’ve ever slept in. The staff were helpful and friendly but disappointed overall with our stay.
- 2/5
Elevator to hotel broken. Noisy toilet
- 3/5
Some front desk workers can be more personable.
- 3/5
Rooms looked out dated and furniture looks worned out. Bath curtains were not clean
- 5/5
Everything was very clean and the service was exceptional
- 4/5
Convenient
- 2/5
Called the front desk & they promised someone will be coming to take a look. No one showed up !
- 5/5
Excellent value, perfect location, fantastic breakfast (Sam's the man !!) The furniture is a bit worn and could use some updating, but overall fantastic for our 12-night stay
- 5/5
Quick and easy checkin. Perfectly located to our concert.
- 1/5
Nothing. The place was disgusting. They tried to charge me when I checked in, even though I paid in advance through Expedia. I come to find out I have er paid by $80 by booking through this service. The room had a for to it. The plates in the cabinet were dirty. The couch had numerous stains on it. The wood around the mirror was moldy. And when I brought all of this to their attention at the front desk nothing was done about it.
- 2/5
Unavailable due to Over booking.
- 1/5
First room the ac was not working. 2nd room they gave me smelled like cat piss. Just drove home to Philly. Horrible
- 3/5
I really enjoyed my stay here the staff was friendly and the location was perfect! I went to a concert at the pier 6 and it was only a 3 minute walk from the hotel! The only thing that left me dissatisfied was the fact that I got late check out however when I stepped out for a second my room was cleaned out and all my things were removed from the room it too over an hour for them to locate my property! Once again though the staff was very friendly and accommodating.
- 2/5
I recently stayed there for the first time in June . This experience on July 3 was not the best . The young lady at the desk didn’t explain any options for dining , didnt offer water bottles like I received the first time . Also my total came to $179.00 which was more than I was originally told when I booked online . Once I got to the room we didn’t have an ice bucket and the ice machine was not working on the floor.
- 5/5
The hotel had everything right there . Only thing I didn’t like the floor in the kitchen looked liked wallpaper .
- 1/5
On top of all of this, the Air conditioning wasn’t working in the room on the 8th floor. We complained many times, and the concierge tried to help us, but they said they couldn’t put us in another room since they were fully booked. So that room wasn’t even fully functional for us due to the extreme heat that weekend that we stayed. I never leave reviews for any place, literally NEVER. I just don’t have time for that. But i felt like it was absolutely necessary this time to warn others who want to stay here and care about cleanliness.
- 1/5
Outdated rooms, no air conditioner, beds not comfortable. Not clean. Bathtub is dirty
- 4/5
Decent place to stay, great location courteous staff parking was also good.
- 3/5
Room was great but king size bed has queen size sheets and they kept coming off the bed.
- 3/5
The hotel is very worn and needs a deep clean all around.
- 3/5
Great location with many walkable stores, restaurants, and easy access to Fells Point or Inner Harbor.
- 5/5
The location was great for what we were doing. Breakfast was fantastic and the staff in the breakfast room we’re always so pleasant.
- 3/5
The service was okay, not exceptional. The breakfast buffet was meager, but again the staff was helpfull. The rooms were showing their age, an update will be welcomed. In general was an average stay.
- 2/5
The staff seemed friendly enough but the quick talking lady at the desk brushed over a lot of details that would have been nicer to have heard if it weren't all told within 10 seconds. Allow the guest some time to absorb what you've said. It was pretty clear she was in no mood for customer service. As far as the room goes, I've never dealt with that level of humidity in a hotel room outside of Florida. There's something very much wrong with the AC system in the room that I had. No, I don't remember what room it was. We had to sleep with the windows open. The shower tub combo system in the bathroom is broken. Upon trying to activate the shower head by pulling the plug on the tub faucet, I realized that the water is so hard in Baltimore that there is extensive lime buildup all around and inside the faucet. This made it near impossible to activate the shower head. All in all, this was a memorable trip and will be remembered as one of the surprisingly worst hotel experiences I've had. From the outside, this hotel looks great. From the lobby, this hotel looks great. The neighborhood it's in is great. But the shape of the rooms themselves is mediocre at best, and piss poor worse.
- 3/5
Great property.
- 2/5
Property needs to be updated
- 1/5
It was a disaster from beginning to end. Not recommended for families with small children
- 4/5
Hotel was pleasant enough but breakfast was not good.
- 3/5
Just an average hotel. Furnishings could use updating. We chose it for the location. Walkable to Little Italy, Aquarium and Fells Point. Check-in staff and bell hop were very friendly.
- 5/5
I read lots of reviews before staying here and it was allot better than what I expected! Front desk staff is really amazing with customers service hats off to you guys really. Walking in my suit was very clean and the view of the city was amazing ! Although the ac was a little wacky being able to open the windows made up for it being a little too warm in the room. And the parking reviews are what I was worried about coming form out of state but I found convenient parking in a lot within the next block I payed about 53 for the weekend it’s downtown so be expecting to pay. Overall I’ll give it a 9.5 out of 10 only bc my ac wouldn’t adjust but definitely will stay here again.
- 4/5
Staff was excellent. Rooms are dated with fixtres thay dont work.
- 1/5
I ekpt getting excuses that my room was not ready. Waited over an hour and a 1/2 for my room when check in was at 3:00pm. The couch has black stains the furniture needs updated and the TVs are super small. You would think by having a suite it would nice...NOT! the shower flooded the bathroom so 8 had to use my towels to clean that up. This place was a just NOT to other Hiltons standards that i have stayed at WHICH are MUCH NICER!
- 3/5
It was ok...
- 5/5
Great price compared to others in the area
- 2/5
my faucet in the kitchen was falling off, bathroom tub wasn’t draining and the couch was covered in stains. my room was also not ready to check in until 5pm and mot even an apology. pretty disappointing
- 2/5
Furniture in the room was beat and had stains on it
- 3/5
The staff was polite, helpful and friendly. They were personable, chatted with us, suggested some restaurants to visit in the area. But the hotel could use some upgrades and a complete remodel. Things are old, down to the smoke detectors! The carpets are dirty (bring slippers) the couch cushions are stained and worn. We used lots of disinfectant spray and wipes!!! The room just felt a bit grungy! Parking was convenient but not free. Breakfast was great. Good experience overall (but not great).
- 4/5
I liked the proximity to the aquarium as we had our young child with us and that a lot was in walkable distance.

This hotel had the BEST breakfast I’ve ever had in a hotel. Would stay there again just for the breakfast!!

Our stay was amazing. We had a great time. The only issue we had was the shower pressure kept logging in and out.

Hilton on the other hand, this place is eay of of touch to what I used to know as Hilton standards. Old wall paper peeling off the walls, would lose water pressure in our shower when an adjoining room turned on the water. The tub was different colors due to be being re enameled in the wrong color. I had to fix the toliet handle as it fell off and I wasnt going to wait for someone to come fix it. No customer should ever have to worry about this many issues when trying to enjoy vacation. Needless to say my wife and I will no longer be staying at any Hilton hotels. The Raddison and Marriott are much better quality wise.

Great stay

The furniture in the room had some type of fluid stain stains on the sofa to the effect that we had to use a blanket to cover it up to sit down. I was told by an not so pleasant staff member that there were no other accommodations. Sad situation for my wife's birthday

Great view. Room could use a few updates.

Our last night the adjacent room had its television on all night long which was annoying.

Staff was super friendly, room was clean and and breakfast a bonus!
- 3/5
Seems like they might not have enough staff while i stayed but it was a little dirty. Front service was really slow and i had to to wait till 5pm to get a room.

The property was nice. Two things: the fold out sofa was uncomfortable for my son. Getting to the parking garage is difficult with all the one way streets plus the parking garage has no visible signs.

Very large rooms, but all the surfaces were dirty upon arrival, including the sheets being stained; room is "cleaned" every second day but not enough to meet basic standards. very old hotel that needs major changes.
- 2/5
Poor service, was not able to check into my room until 8 pm due to there was NO linen!

Location was good. Price was right. Service was poor. Room not cleaned during entire stay (despite the sign that said every other day), coffee in the lobby was often non-existent or stone cold. Breakfast was meh—different versions of the same thing every day; cold if you came down later in service. Room had cigarette burn in carpet, torn carpet, fitted sheet was on inside out and was too small.

Cons: The rooms are very beige and dated; tub/shower needed replacement or significant repair. TV didn’t have any set up for streaming, and tv reception was very poor. Pros: The bed was comfortable, there was a lot of space and I liked having a kitchenette. Breakfasts were pretty good. Having access to a full gym was wonderful. Front desk staff was friendly and helpful.

Surrounded by a lot restaurants

Just was upset about housekeeping not coming to the room I was there for 4 nights
- 4/5
The room was clean and had everything we needed. The included breakfast was really good, way better than the typical included hotel breakfast. However, the room seems old, and in need of updating. More importantly, my wife was not a fan of the bed and the pillows: the bed was "not very comfortable and the pillows were too flat for my taste."

We have stayed at this hotel several times, we love the atmosphere, front desk staff and the rooms. This particular time we stayed we received a room that had dirty linen, we did speak to front desk and they sent new blankets. We will stay again but will do a more thorough inspection

Staff were excellent, cannot stress that enough. Every single person from front desk to wait staff to housekeeping were smiling and friendly.

Good stay. Limited breakfast options (may be OK for some).

From the outside of the building, the hotel looked clean and neat. At check-in, the staff was pleasant and accommodating. The lobby looked very clean. The rooms, however, were not. We stayed in a 2 double bed suite and the carpets were stained and extremely dirty. The kitchen had nothing in the cabinets to use. The bathroom cabinet was falling apart. I did not want to put my bag on the floor becasue, visualluy, the room looked like it had been through it.

Full kitchen and spacious however no detergent or cleaning supplies to clean dishes during our stay

Multiple times for housekeeping and they showed up a few hours before I checked out . Very old carpet.

Rooms can be a little updated but it was clean.

Was a good valentinea day weekend! Check in and check out were easy! Free breakfast. The fitness club was very impressive!
- 5/5
The rooms were very spacious and property was clean.

A convenient and nice place to stay when you are at the Inner Harbor for a visit. The rooms need a little upgrading with carpet especially. Otherwise, everything worked out well for us staying there. We would definitely go back based on price, convenience and location.
