We stayed here for our anniversary everything was amazing.

Had a great time nice room and shower was so nice. Help desk was awesome all night long got everything I need with a smile. Rooftop bar was nice also wish is was a better view but it was still nice.

Outstanding. The place to stay if you’re in a Beloit. Cool roof top bar. Great serving staff and management as well. I ordered a couple NA beers on the rooftop and when I went to have dinner at Velvet buffalo jellyn my server brought me a Na Prosecco to start dinner. How did you know? They communicated it to her. The spaghetti and meatballs was better than anything I’ve had in the Chicago area and that’s saying something . Pay the little bit extra and stay here you won’t be disappointed.

Parking was easy. Room was way above average with a great shower and incredible decor. Sheets and bed were amazing. I loved the place and the restaurant was REAL Italian food! I know. I'm Italian. Great visit!

What a great hotel to stay at!!! All the staff I encountered were very friendly and answered every question I had. The room I was in was large and had everything you would want. The record player was a nice touch. Everything was clean, and I can't say enough good things about the Goodwin Hotel. Great time

The Goodwin always out does themselves in every category. My husband is blind, having an amazing helpful staff that makes sure to always go the extra mile makes the Goodwin our top choice when we come home!

Walgreens was super close as were food options! Great locations and a wonderful atmosphere. Parking onsite and complimentary coffee in the mornings, too!

A lovely hotel: very clean, comfortable beds, great shower, friendly staff. We also had a wonderful dinner at the Velvet Buffalo downstairs. We highly recommend both the hotel and the restaurant.

The staff are friendly and responsive. The Hotel adds additional amenities such as champagne upon arrival and coffee in the morning in the lobby which add to the charm of this facility. The hotel was clean and well appropriated.

We loved our 2nd visit to Hotel Goodwin, our favorite place to stay in Beloit. The staff is always friendly, Velvet Buffalo was delicious, and the rooftop bar was perfect for cocktails. Comfortable room, great bed, and free lobby coffee each morning was a nice bonus.

The hotel was very clean and comfortable it was very impressive and a bit expensive for anything like water or snacks. It was in an area that did not have a lot of things to do. It was very nice for a quick getaway.

Beautifully restored hotel with elegant, spacious rooms. Best waterfall shower I’ve ever experienced. Great rooftop bar and the attached Velvet Buffalo restaurant makes this truly a one-stop destination.

When we first entered the hostess was on her phone, we didn't know if it was work related so my husband and I stood in front of the reception desk talking so she would know we were there. We stood there for probably 3-4 minutes until she finally looked up and after realizing we were there said "I'm so sorry" and put her phone away. There were large cobwebs in the corners of our hotel room. The "continental breakfast" was prepackaged muffins and doughnuts with a couple of sad looking bananas and apples and some coffee. The shower was cool and the bed was comfortable.

Beautiful architecture. It was very quiet and we loved the record player in the room. The food was good in the restaurant. We enjoyed the roof top bar. The location was perfect to go to the farmers market in he morning.

This is a beautiful property and the pictures are accurate. I loved the shower and the toiletries. My only complaint was that the toilet paper was not as plush as everything else in the room and that the lounge was closed at 9:00 p.m. on a Thursday night so there weren't any in-house options at that time.

We stay at the Hotel Goodwin whenever we want a special getaway. It feels like you are staying at someone's home, not a hotel. It's super cozy and clean, and the staff is amazing!

I was quite disappointed in the ease of accessing the advertised pools as well as the “continental breakfast” is simply a grab and go station of muffins and coffee.

A shockingly beautiful renovation of an old office building in downtown Beloit. I had a bright large nicely outfitted corner room which I loved. Whatever D Hendricks politics, she has done an enormous amount to rehabilitate her "home" town. The open shower might be disconcerting to some. I loved it. I hate the cheapness of roku TV when all I want is a local weather forecast.

Bed was very very comfortable. Restaurant and roof top bar were nicely done and food was outstanding!

Hotel Goodwin 2nd time visiting for my wife and I and they will continue to get our service. Great set up we went two years in a row to celebrate our anniversary. We ate at the restaurant downstairs food was delicious. We didnt get to enjoy the rooftop our 2nd time due to a wedding party. Someone is sharing our anniversary date so they will last forever like us ...

The hotel and rooms are spacious and beautiful! There is a turntable and records in the room. So fun :) The hotel decor is gorgeous. The only negatives were the bed and pillows were very uncomfortable and we didn’t get much sleep. The location of our room also was loud due to traffic in the morning. This hotel is worth a try for it’s ambience.

For the price we felt we should have a real breakfast not grab n go basically. The air conditioner blew constantly and you have limited control over temperature change. Room cleaning consisted of making the bed only.

A wonderfully warm welcome after a long drive. The staff was tremendously welcoming upon our 10 pm arrival. The room was spacious and elegant. It perfectly accommodated our family of 5 plus 2 dogs. The staff provided a neat gift bag for our pups. I highly recommend this historic and charming hotel to all.

The property was beautiful! I would have appreciated being notified that the roof top had an event planned when I made our reservation as we were really looking forward to enjoying the roof top bar and we did not have tickets. The record player didn’t work and staff tried to fix it but couldn’t! It had no volume and what it had was very tinny.

I chose Hotel Goodwin for a weekend getaway to celebrate our anniversary. I have never heard of it, nor have I been to the area but a simple Google search for "Romantic getaways in Wisconsin" gave me this option. It's the cutest boutique hotel with so much attention to detail. The room was beautiful, clean and comfortable. The design of the room is stunning. The bar on the roof top was amazing with great staff. The restaurants that are a part of the hotel group were fantastic as well. The Velvet Buffalo was so delicious but across the street at the Merrill & Houston's steak house was incredible. Best steak I've ever had! We will definitely be coming back here!

Check in was great.. room was fabulous. Hard getting sleep though as room is not well insulated. Heard too much outside noise. We were in room 3004(corner room)

Super-nice staff, great newly- remodeled room, great restaurant on site, and an easy walk to the river.

This is an adult hotel for couples designed for a man's pleasure. The hallways are dimly lit, and decorated with black carpet and doors. There are murals of women's bodies on the elevator door and throughout the building. In the middle of the room is an all-glass shower for voyeur interests and the like. Fingerprints were found on the glass which made the shower feel unclean. Patrons are not ethnically diverse. Staff appear uncomfortable with patrons who do not look like them. Patrons were offended a glass of champagne upon check-in while we were not offended the same.

I like the location and the friendly staff. Unfortunately I was unable to control the heating/ac for the room and the system is somewhat loud and cannot be turned off. The Wi-Fi seemed a little erratic. Otherwise the rooms are clean and comfortable.

We love that the building was transformed from an industrial-looking old structure to a first-class hotel! It's always super clean and well-maintained.

An amazing hotel. We loved the cleanliness and attention to detail. Be aware there is downtown traffic noise in case that may bother you. They had a sound deadening machine in the room if needed.

Breakfast . Just coffee, fruit , muffin and snacks. Everything was fine and as expected. Dinner was excellent. The roof top atmosphere and bartender made drinks by scratch. A wide selection of beverages. Strongly recommended. Will go back !

Pure classy hotel…one of the best! Beats the chain hotels hands down!

It's a fantastic hotel, great restaurant and rooftop bar. Only drawback I see is parking.I think guests of the hotel should get preferential parking due to lack of when the restaurant is busy. I had to move my car twice so it didn’t get towed when I was forced to park into another business parking.

We got coupons for the restaurant so we ordered room service which was prompt and the food was amazing! Truly felt spoiled staying here and we could not get over how lux the room was! We found the accommodations very clean. The front desk staff was very friendly. We were a bit disappointed that we were unable to find a parking spot the first evening. We loved our room, however the pillows were very uncomfortable. It would help to have a variety of choices.

First time having an odd number room. And it will be the last. Look out the window at a wall of concrete! The even numbered rooms have a nice view.

I loved every.. from the staff to the art work Our initial room had an annoying humming sound coming from vent .. the Front Desk clerk was very attentive and eventually moved our room. She handled it perfectly

The hotel has a classic rock theme with swank art. Only negatives is you have to request for ice. Parking lot gets full on weekends and patrons may have to park on street.

We loved the property, and the room , but the elevator was on hold for at least 20 minutes, they told us the roof top was priority as they had a private event, I felt like because we only paid for one night we weren’t important, other then this small issue the hotel is very unique , love the fact they have bottles of wine at the room and the LP player with real vinyl records is amazing ! I’m staying there for Christmas and new years celebrations!

Nice bed and nice bathroom. The chairs are missing from our room (our friends have a room down the hall where they have chairs, so we know what we're missing in this big open space). Our coffee maker doesn't work and when asked the staff member in front thinks there is no possibility to replace it. our room phone keeps blinking and the front desk says it's an error and we should ignore it. We cannot control the temperature in the room because we get warning notes at the thermostat that the temp is centrally controlled elsewhere. The front desk person isn't sure what to do about that. Two of our lights don't work. None of these are terrible, but it's all these little annoyances that we didn't expect in a "special" hotel.

I was also not a fan of the fully exposed shower......

While the hotel was definitely comfortable and the shower was amazing, I think overall the place is quite a bit overrated. I didn't see a huge difference between the features of the rooms at this hotel and something significantly less expensive like Home2 or Hampton Inn. Sure, the record player in the room is cool, but not worth the difference in price. The staff were okay, but did not seem super excited about their job, which I thought said a lot about the hotel. Parking was difficult at night because the hotel shares a parking lot with the restaurant in the building, and the "continental breakfast" was a small table with pre-packaged pastries that did not taste fresh, stale-tasting coffee and tea from a small kettle, and yogurt. Very underwhelming. So, while there was nothing distinctly bad about the hotel, for the price I expected a lot more. My recommendation to others would be to save your money and stay at a different hotel.

Stayed in 5 hotels on this trip. This was easily the nicest. Everything about it was luxurious. The art and design were excellent. Rain shower in the large shower. Record player in the room with assortment of records. Led Zeppelin IV was the first to go on when we arrived, but Blue Oyster Cult’s Some Enchanted Evening side B was the best!! (Your room will vary.) Desk people always greeted us warmly, smiled and were very helpful with any questions about what to do in the area. We were on a college visit trip and it makes me excited to think that if my kid goes to school there I’ll get to go back too… The in house Italian restaurant was excellent. Only negative was the bike and elliptical in the fitness center had some glitches so my workout was compromised. But in light of everything else, it’s a solid 5 stars.

We had an excellent stay. Our room was gorgeous. Easily walkable to great restaurants like Mexican and sushi. Only drawback was the rooftop bar furniture was unusable being that the cushions were soaked with rainwater. The rain ended in the afternoon so it would’ve been great if someone had pulled the cushions maybe the night before. With a wedding party staying at the hotel, it was standing room only at the rooftop bar With no room to enjoy it for ourselves. Oh well, maybe next time.

What a great find! This chic hotel is a great option: very spacious room, large bathroom and shower, amazing rooftop bar and well stocked street level bar to watch the game and get a very good Italian bite to eat. If you are in Rockford drive the extra few miles, you won’t regret it. Highly recommend.
