The hotel has a great location with a vibrant atmosphere, friendly staff, and various amenities such as food trucks, live music, and a sauna. However, cleanliness and maintenance are inconsistent, with several guests complaining about dirty rooms and bathrooms. The hostel-style accommodation may not meet everyone's expectations, particularly in terms of privacy and comfort.

The location was very good. It suited my needs. Visiting family. I booked a semi-private room. With three beds. There was a girl in the room that rented the whole room. They just gave me the code and went up and I just went right in.. so the girl and I went downstairs to work it all out...Since there was a private room available they just gave that to me. That was Great .... Until.... at 3:00 in the morning I had someone desperately trying to get into the room and looking through the window. Apparently they give the empty rooms to the staff if they're open and they didn't properly document me being in that room. They were very nice and comped the next night. They definitely made it right. Thanks so much you guys. Good customer service

The property is not safe, the doors do not lock, the mattress has a burn whole, the bathroom was dirty and when we tried to check out early for our safety no one was around. Then they refused to provide a refund, even for the night we didn’t stay. This property should not be on Expedia, it is basically like a flop house. Awful and unsafe.

Excellent location just a couple blocks from downtown! The food trucks in the patio area have AMAZING food. There is a very social atmosphere at this hostel which is cool! If you are solo travelling, it is very easy to make friends. The hostel is a great budget option when visiting Bend. The cleanliness of the shared bathroom could be better. With the number of people sharing the facilities, it is somewhat understandable.

I showed up and the staff all seemed hungover and disorganized. My room wasn’t ready. They couldn’t check me in cause the computer died. They tried to check me in anyway. They showed me my bunk and my linens weren’t clean. They all seemed like kind people. But the vibe was wack. I am not sure why the reviews are so good. Go find yourself a campground.

Bunk Drunk & Brew Club. No misnomer/ hyperbole here. It doubles as a DRUG/ ALCOHOL DETOX CENTER catering/ pandering to the local alcohol addled population, and house you with them, knowing implicitly who they are. I'd be grossly negligent in not reporting they need a good beg bug eradication company. Yes. The latter occupy the flea bitten flophouse, then have the unmitigated temerity to TRY to lay/ assign blame on to others for again their "LOCALS" glaring/ compromised hygiene. The onus was on this critter to vacuum my room. It's classic MOM $ POP quasi Hostel, who are pretty derelict/ negligent in thoroughly cleaning and leave beds no longer occupied unattended. It screams gross mismanagement. Specifically. two of the rooms were veritable pig styes. mostly a byproduct of their local folks with patent alcoholism. ? ? ? ? It warrants mentioning it's not HOSTEL INTERNATIONAL, where the aforementioned event's/conditions don't exist. Then their's the issue of questionable/impugnable employee's with borderline personality disorder and relatedly substance abuse, accounting for their behavior. This is just a snippet of opprobrium. I could cite too many to enumerate. CHAPTER, VOLUME. VERSE.............

At least we learned our lesson and will never advise anyone to stay here. We’ve stayed at many hostels all over the world and have never had anything go this horrible. We left a day early and booked a room at a traditional hotel because it wasn’t worth staying one more night at this place.

The place itself is great. But and this is not something snyone can really do but when sleeping in a hostel environment and you snore loudly, it makes it very difficult for others. It would be good for the property to not leave other guests to deal with it. I couldn’t sleep in the room I paid for and slept in my car instead. Otherwise the property is great. You get vibe, with good trucks and drink choices.

I should’ve known better. But, the website makes it look better than it is. All in all, it wasn’t a bad experience. But this is a youth hostel. Bunch of 20 something’s staying long term. Kids were nice enough and the price was right, but if you’re over 30……you might pick a different spot. My bad for not doing more research.

Bunk and Brew seems like a happening and friendly place for travelers looking for a cheap, communal experience. We were looking for a downtown stay (we are local and we’re looking for a short staycation). Bunk and Brew was the least expensive downtown choice (still it cost 189.00 per night) we selected a private room, not realizing the bathroom was shared :( To summarize: Great youth hostel, not-so- great for older people hotel.

The accomodations were welcoming. All of the staff was helpful and cordial, especially Cory, a gentlemanly English lad, who gave me a tour of the building and gardens. My single occupant room was secure, uncluttered and clean. The shared: living rooms; bathrooms; laundry room; kitchen and sauna are clean and well organized. This will be my regular haunt in Bend, Oregon, as I felt right at home and it is an accessible walk to amphitheaters, coffee shops and grocery.

As hostels go, it was nice enough. I stayed in the house next door. It was loud until pretty late, but what can you expect from a place that advertises to be a brewery? (The brew was a free can of beer they offered you at the door. after that, they were $4 each) Parking was limited in their unpaved parking lot, after that it is street parking and you have to move your car early to avoid a ticket. The people running it were trying hard to please, but they may have been sampling their brews - they called me twice after I checked in to verify who I was.

It was a great short stay with amazing people! Stay comes with breakfast in the morning which was prepared by another guest because they’re lovely people. I liked the friendly people staying here and the staff. What could be improved is a cleaner kept kitchen, more food items including bagels, yogurt and fruit for breakfast. The sleeping worked out fine, shared a room with another guest. I really liked the sauna and the shower facility which was separate from the main house, but not an issue. Some more updated couches would be a big improvement.

The welcoming staff and procedure were fabulous! The free beer as a welcome gift was from a large selection of craft beer, which seemed perfectly appropriate, considering the location (Bend!). The room was nice with a comfortable bed. We didn’t spend any time in the kitchen because there were so many awesome vegan restaurants and coffee shops within walking distance. We also spend lots of time exploring the trails within walking/short drive distance to this location. It was such a great area, we spent a second night.

I love this hostel! It’s walking distance to downtown Bend, always cleaned up, and fun patio with plenty of room to chill. I slept very well on the twin bed. Someone stole my charger, but there are lockers if you’re concerned that this will happen to you. I liked the other guests, but it would be fun if there were some older guests, too. Mostly college kids were there. The personalized check-in and out is wonderful though! I loved the hostel tour I got.
