Reviews
The Campfire Hotel is a refurbished motel with a unique, lively atmosphere. Guests generally enjoy their stay, but have mixed feelings about the noise level and cleanliness of the rooms.
- Unique, lively atmosphere
- Friendly staff
- Noise level
- Cleanliness of rooms

I found this property to not be worth the overpriced rates they charge. I would not stay here again.
- 2/5
We didn’t care for the loud music playing continuously on the multiple speakers by the rooms until 10:00 pm and the loud voices around the fire pit until midnight. We had to turn the tv up to drown out the music and people outside. We definitely won’t stay there again. If you like to party it’s the right place for you.
- 5/5
This was close to downtown and liked the atmosphere. For the price (which we only stayed 1 night) i didn’t feel it was worth it. But again, I was not able to fully enjoy all the amenities. Parking is very hard
- 3.5/5
Very charming character and nice amenities and staff The mattresses were uncomfortable and the heater was very noisy.
- 5/5
Really, the only thing I would change - or get a comp of some sort - is when we first entered the room, we were hit by an overwhelming, stringent, nose-burning odor of a cleaning agent, I had to ask if someone actually died in there. After spending $42 on their candles, and after a full day, the oder lessened. But overall, this is a fabulous property.
- 5/5
the vibe is amazing the pool is nice and cool and refreshing and the hottub is perfect temp. great fire pit… bar and mini bar are great. property is maintained very well and staff is lovely! I will absolutely stay here again!
- 4.5/5
Very nice stay, could use an extractor fan in bathroom for moisture. Lovely front desk person recommended fun pub with food truck around corner. Great recommendation.
- 3/5
Design is fun and outdoor amenities (plus canteen) were great Room 120 needs some real attention. I reported the slow draining sink as well as the art wallpaper which was loose, buckling, and basically falling off the wall...but additionally there is a bunch of caulk missing in the bathroom and just general upkeep/maintenance (especially in the bathroom) that seems to be lacking. At this price point I was expecting more attention to these sorts of details.
- 5/5
The atmosphere! The decor inside and out! The resturant was closed during a weekday. The fire pit, pool, spa not staying open a tad later .
- 4/5
I like the vibe that the Campfire Hotel is creating. Lots of people hang out at the communal fire pit in the evening. Chill music going through the speakers on the property. The hot tub was a great temperature and the main swimming pool was nice. The double queen bed room was exactly as described and beds were comfortable. I was in room 121 at the very end of a building. The Wifi connection was poor and kept cutting out on the Roku TV. I had to reconnect several times. Overall, the location is a little noisy. Ear plugs are provided in the room but I didn't need them.
- 5/5
This is our 3rd time staying at the campfire hotel while in Bend, twice with just my partner and myself and once with us and our two dogs. Both times have been very nice. We would highly recommend if you’re looking for a cute hotel or are traveling with pets. Parking is first come first serve so it can be difficult to find a spot. We love staying here but it can be a bit expensive.
- 2.5/5
It was OK. Nothing really to highlight. Location wasn’t great. Nefarious men hanging behind the property/on the side streets. Not that big of a deal, just as a woman it can be limiting to walking solo. It use to probably be some sort of motel and they added some colorful paint to make it more aesthetic. Bathrooms are dated. Expensive for what it is. I think it’s probably worth paying a little more for a place in more of downtown or on the river. If you’ve stayed at the Jupiter in Portland it’s a similar idea — different look — except the Jupiter chargers rates that make sense for what you’re getting ($89 for a room). Staff is very kind though!!
- 5/5
The people were great, the vibes, the snacks, super clean! Parking lot is kinda tight but I don’t even care. Everything was great!
- 4.5/5
It’s a really fun place to stay! The two bedrooms needed better air flow, otherwise we’re fine
- 0.5/5
At this point... not much. This was my 3rd stay and a surprise stay with my partner and we were both very disappointed. Arrived to an unbelievably loud "dance party"... so the pool and hot tub were unusable. The front desk agent was so stoned he could barely speak. We were given the worst room and told they were fully booked and no upgrades were available. This is consistent with Booking.com reaervations... you will always get the worst room on the property. One guest actually left saying the felt unsafe because of the pool party crowd. Not enough towels in the room for 2 people. House phones are for "decoration" no telephones in the rooms. Sloppy paint job. Hair in the sink. Cracked aink bowl. Homeless hangout at the corner. We will not be back
- 3.5/5
Check in was easy, staff was very friendly. Nice pool, hot tub, and food carts nearby. For the price, the hotel was very old. You can tell they have put a lot of work into it though to make more pet friendly and comfy stay. The carpet int he room was really dirty, like made our socks black on the bottoms kind of dirty.
- 5/5
An oasis of fun in downtown Bend. Every time you turned around there was something cute to admire They really pay attention to detail. Highly recommend. I'm coming again.
- 5/5
Great place, we had no problems. Will visit again.
- 4.5/5
Superb
- 0.5/5
That it had a pool and was pet friendly Nowhere does it say you must be 21+ to book here. I am 19 I have stayed here by myself before. They were rude and unwilling to give me a solution. They told me we could not stay here after I already paid.
- 3.5/5
Good
- 4/5
Love the amenities and access to everything. We were on the first floor and the people above us were very loud
- 4.5/5
The pool and the ambiance I don’t have any complaints
- 5/5
Great hotel to stay at in the city!
- 4/5
Very good
- 5/5
Best feature is the community campfire 💯
- 4/5
This was a great hotel! A remodeled dive, it's been remade in a charming fashion. With great amenities like a s'mores kit (for the ginormous campfire) and gummies in case you can't sleep, and charming touches like pillars covered in ponderosa bark, the only reminder that this used to be a dive are the thin walls and cheap windows. Still, I'll stay here every time I come back to Bend.
- 4/5
Pool and hot tub were nice. The camping decor was fun. Our room was large and reasonably comfortable but had a stuffy smell when we arrived. The worse part of the room was that it got pretty hot overnight. If you could manage to properly regulate the temperature before bed the stay would have been a home run. Overall pleased with our stay.
- 2.5/5
It feels like the walls are paper, thin. The big huge fire pit, the saltwater pool and hot tub. The check-in room is pretty cool free coffee.
- 4/5
Very good
- 3/5
Would it be difficult to have some electrical outlets near the head of the bed? I can’t imagine I am the only person who charges my phone while I sleep but would like to be able to reach it without getting out of bed
- 4/5
Pool and hot tub was nice. Limited power sources. Morning staff was much more accommodating than the evening staff. Limited places to hang or store clothes for extended stay.
- 5/5
GREAT POOL , great outdoor set up!!
- 3/5
Be aware that the management may charge an undisclosed service fee.
- 5/5
Very cool place!
- 5/5
My only gripe was the bar on property was not opened.
- 5/5
Campfire hotel was a great property in a great location. The fire pit was a great amenity. Make sure you try the breakfast burrito truck.
- 5/5
Disappointed narration but other than that it was good! The kids had a blast at the pool and roasting marshmallows by the fire pit.
- 5/5
Nice pool and jacuzzi. Balanced chemicals
- 4/5
There´s no restaurant, no bar.
- 5/5
This was a fabulous little gem of a place in Bend! The outdoor fire pit and heated pool made it extra special.
- 5/5
So clean and comfortable, great spot.
- 5/5
I always stay at Campfire! Rooms are comfortable and dog friendly. Good food close by.
- 5/5
We stayed one night with our dog at campfire and found the staff and motel to be super friendly and social with campfires and pool decks. We loved the neighboring dogwood pub and highly recommend a visit, they were both fabulous! Highly recommend for all travelers but the dog friendly atmosphere was amazing even being greeted with a puppy welcome bag.. super cute and would stay again!
- 5/5
We enjoyed our stay again atbthe Campfire it was clean as always and very accommodating. We also enjoy how friendly the staff are.
- 5/5
Its popular with locals on staycation. Nuf said
- 4/5
We would stay again.
- 5/5
Very friendly and an unique atmosphere
- 5/5
Great location! Great room.
- 1/5
My daughter was denied at check in. Was told we would get refunded but haven’t received it yet. I called the property and was told to contact Expedia. Well it’s really hard to get ahold of anyone at Expedia!! So here we sit, no refund, no resolution.
- 4/5
The first girl that checked us in was amazing but the girl that took over was extremely rude. Beds were uncomfortable but it’s a super cute place.
- 5/5
Only negative was noise from stairs and neighboring rooms which finally stopped around 2a. Could have been room location #117 as we didn't experience this our first time. Will come back!
- 4/5
Nice pool and hot tub area. The gas fire pit area was a nice spot to hang out and meet new people.
- 5/5
I LOVE the Campfire. The pool is great, the rooms are clean and cozy, the staff are so nice.
- 5/5
The room was clean and had plenty of amenities.
- 5/5
My favorite place
- 5/5
Always an awesome day. Would highly recommend.
- 4/5
Great hotel and location, excellent fire pit, pool, jacuzzi & bar. Only thing the walls are paper thin, you hear everything. They provide ear plugs. Highly recommended hotel.
- 5/5
Great front desk
- 5/5
Clean and comfortable room, friendly staff, fun atmosphere. Plenty of free parking, easy walk to downtown.
- 5/5
Friendly staff with lots of neat amenities that are camping themed.
- 5/5
Fun !
- 3/5
Reception area smelled like a sweaty sock sprayed with febreeze. The host checking us in was unfriendly. The one checking us out was more what I encountered during my one week stay encountering Oregonians - very friendly. The toilet was a miniature toilet - never seen one in my life until now. It was fit for someone less than 5 ft tall. It’s okay for a one day stay, but longer than that it becomes a chore. It was a chore.
- 4/5
Didnt use the pool or bar.
- 5/5
The room was clean and updated. The pillows were so comfy! We will definitely be returning!
- 5/5
One of the most fun places I've ever stayed. I love the theme .. every spot was super cozy and everyone was really nice. My sister and I had a great time
- 5/5
Appearances great Friendly staff
- 3/5
It was a good place to stay but they were very busy and we got there around 7. The room we got was right next to the ice machine so that wasn't great and the hog tub was super crowded but it had good vibes.
- 5/5
Really enjoyed our stay at Campfire hotel. Very accommodating and even gifted us a bucket of beer for our anniversary! Would definitely stay again.
- 4/5
Clean room with nice amenities.
- 5/5
Cool property. Would stay again.
- 5/5
Our stay was perfect. We were sad the cantina was closed at the beginning of our stay.
- 3/5
I think my expectations were to high as I had heard great things about the hotel. This could be a semi recent issue however there is a large homeless population behind the property that leads to an unsafe feeling. I was traveling with a pet that needed to be walked in the evening/night and coming face to face with someone in crisis everytime was a bit unnerving. On property parking is very limited. If you drive a larger vehicle it will be a tight squeeze. If you are looking for a mellow peaceful stay this isn’t the place for you as there is party music throughout the location at most time. On the positive side the bed was comfortable and the property is cute.
- 5/5
Nice room, incredible property. They work very hard to make this place fun! Lots of lights in the trees at night, DJ music on the weekend, warm pool and hot jacuzzi. Great big outdoor campfire area with lots of room for guests. Loved our stay here!
- 5/5
The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. All of the staff were very pleasant and helpful. The camping theme is displayed throughout the property and the fire pit was delightful. Will definitely stay there again next time I visit Bend and would recommend to others
- 5/5
Attentive staff-Dune who is the bartender is great! Love the central location and all the extras that campfire hotel provides
- 4/5
I heard the manager say three people hadnt showed up for work. She couldnt help a customer with late check out because of it. I felt the staff didnt go out of their way to help customers. Plus i had to ask for ice insteadbof it just being available. Staff not friendly
- 3/5
The facility was clean and kept up. Parking is tight if you have a full sized truck.
- 5/5
A great trendy hotel with cool vibes. A breakfast food truck parked in am is brilliant! (Weekend stays, bring earplugs but people pretty much calm down by midnight)
- 5/5
Very nice lobby with great staff. Lots of fun merch and fresh coffee. The heated pool was heated and the hot tub was hot. Lots of activity in the evening and its a bit noisy but ear plugs are provided.
- 5/5
Was a wonderful stay
- 4/5
Cool environment. Overall recommend. But bar closed early and plumbing was awful. Cheap shower head, cheap short toilet, cracked sink.
- 5/5
Very cool hotel! Wish it offered a continental breakfast.
- 3/5
We liked the pool and pet friendly
- 3/5
The hotel rooms are not ver noise proof neighbors decided to play loud music and yell at each other all night and when I called the front desk twice no answer. Thankfully they know this is an issue and provide earplugs.
- 5/5
Loved it! The vibe was very campfire but you still get clean bathrooms and showers like a good hotel. It definitely fit the vibe we were looking for!
- 5/5
The vibe of the hotel is amazing
- 5/5
Spotless room, amenities great. Overall great stay!
- 5/5
Everything is always great, front desk is always helpful, we love spending time at the campfire!
- 4/5
The room was nice, clean and updated … the only negative was on the ground floor the noise from the 2nd floor room. In my case the stomping feet went until 2:00 am and then started up again at 5:30am. Finally resorted to my headset… I’d stay again and look forward to it for the fun of the campfire and pool - but would request a 2nd floor…
- 2/5
Sad because our previous stay in a top floor room was lovely. Will have to reconsider whether this is our go-to Bend hotel. Darn.
- 5/5
The Campfire Hotel is our place to stay in Bend. It is dog friendly and the rooms are spacious and clean. The staff are friendly and helpful. It is walking distance to a variety of food trucks and other eateries.
- 5/5
Wonderful stay during the week for 3 out of 4 nights - at the end of my stay there were rude patrons who started playing the guitar (in a “rock out” kind of way) at 3AM until 4:30AM. I was too tired to get up to complain, but whoever was in the room directly next to my room (to the west) should be banned. The hot tub is amazing. The bar is lovely. The bed was comfortable. It was just the other people staying there that were the problem.
- 4/5
Cool place. Would be really nice in the summer
- 5/5
The theme was great and I enjoyed the stay.
- 5/5
Always a great stay. Clean, cozy, good location.
- 5/5
Great staff, convenient
- 4/5
While the walls are really paper thin and the beds modest, the whole vibe of the place from the staff to the theme to the fire pit, hot tub and hot pool and good location really made this a super fun experience. Congratulations to the team there. Will stay again.
- 1/5
The noisiest place I’ve ever stayed at, if you’re looking for a restful night after traveling do not stay here. The walls are paper thin.
- 4/5
The wings restaurant was not open on Monday nights which was shame but thats not the hotels fault. staff were friendly and it was very well priced definitely going back in May
- 3/5
I hate to do this but our room was gross had to switch rooms. Staff seemed grumpy, hot tub was closed in the morning.
- 3/5
the check in was okay. the staff forgot my two beers.
- 5/5
The whole place was a vibe! Only sad we didn’t stay longer. Thank you!
- 3/5
Room and property are nice. Staff was dismissive of concerns -resort fee not being mentioned, being charge for items I did not take from the room, etc.
- 5/5
The rooms are clean and beds comfortable. The property is kept up. Staff is awesome. I have stayed there several times & love the lights, fire pit & can buy s’more kits to use at fire pit. Pool & jacuzzi & always open.
- 5/5
Overall aside from the sketchiness in the surrounding area, this place is pretty freaking amazing. I will stay here again it’s very clean. It’s fun there’s a lot of lights. Fire pits, the whole scenery and the set up at this place was done very well and it’s just a really fun area that you don’t have to go outside of the amenities of the spot.
- 5/5
Nice room campfire was great and anything needed was readily available at the office. Would definitely stay here again
- 4/5
The room was cute and clean. The staff was very helpful
- 5/5
Quick checkin/out. Clean room. Big Campfire 🔥
- 5/5
Great hotel newly remodeled. Rooms were clean. Easy check in and out.
- 3/5
This is a lovely place !My only disappointment was the $30 resort fee this isn’t a resort it’s a hotel with pool and jacuzzi
- 5/5
Great as usual!
- 5/5
Nice ambience!
- 5/5
I like this place. Nice vibe, low key. Rooms are nice enough. Great economical option if coming to bend for a short recreational stay. I have been here twice and will come again.
- 3/5
Room was pretty clean, there was a dirty tissue under our bed, but superficially was clean. Beds were pretty comfy, hot tub was nice but the pool was “broken” and they don’t offer any kind of credit or anything so that was a big bummer. We were really excited about the outdoor heated pool, but at least there was the hot tub. Less than a mile walk into downtown and the breakfast burrito truck in the parking lot was delicious. Overall, an ok stay. Parking lot was a mess. If the pool was working, I would probably stay again, but without the pool I’d just as well stay closer to downtown.
- 5/5
I’ve large hot tub and love the instruments in room as well as the fire ring and epic chairs! Mellow tunes playing outside was appreciated by all 4 of us - perfect playlist👍
- 5/5
The room was clean, great staff and fun cantina!
- 5/5
Staff
- 5/5
Property was super cute with an amazingly friendly staff. Bend attractions were easily accessible & often walkable. My only 'issue' is parking lot was tight & a bit challenging.
- 5/5
Clean room, pet-friendly, supper friendly staff, cozy communal fire pit & seatings, nice ambiance. Looking forward to staying there again!
- 5/5
A great hotel. Had a great time.
- 4/5
I’ve stayed at the campfire several times and it’s hit and miss. This time room was very clean and well stocked.
- 3/5
Room was great, staff was fine, I only encountered 1 staff member throughout a 3 night trip, which was fine considering we werent seeking them. The only downfall was seeing the sign at check in, that Pool and Hot tub were closed and would be for our whole trip as we had a little with us wanting to enjoy that. Turns out the spa was actually open the entire time. Im not sure why the staff would tell us it was closed.
- 3/5
Didn’t feel welcome the last time we stayed. Awkward
- 5/5
Super comfy room, very pet friendly, helpful courteous staff!
- 5/5
they gave us a little goodie bag for our dog. Loved sitting by the campfire in the evening.
- 3/5
This place is good at looking good, but, all that is golden isn’t good.
- 5/5
This was such an amazing stay. If you like a camp style vibe with all the amenities you'll enjoy this place. Staff was amazing! Bed was comfortable camp fire felt nice. Shower was clean with some fancy smellung soaps. Forsure would stay again!! The pool was heated it was so nice went swimming when it was 36f. We just stayed overnight 1 night but had an amazing time. Will be back again. Forgot my toothbrush and hotel staff gave me one.
- 5/5
I loved staying here! The staff was very friendly, the room was huge and clean, the shower strong. I loved sitting by the fire pit mesmerized by the flames, and listening to soft chill music on the outdoor speakers. The whole vibe was exactly what I needed on my journey.
- 5/5
Friendly staff, the hot pools are great. Can’t wait to stay here again
- 5/5
What a wonderful hotel! The Northwest vibe is so strong with all the natural wood, metal, and earthy colors throughout the spotless room. There are too many creative features to mention, but the extra features were not overlooked for a relaxing stay and so many things to discover during a two day visit (not to mention the comfortable king bed). We didn't take advantage of the fire pit, Taco truck or heated pool and hot tub but we will be back!
- 1/5
I was charged more than the agreed upon price with Expedia. On Expedia it showed $183.36 including taxes. I received a receipt from the the hotel for $282.10. My card on file was charged $367.10.
- 4/5
No comment
- 5/5
Love the campfire feel! Went above and beyond for the cute touches! Brought back childhood memories
- 5/5
This Campfire Hotel wa so much fun. Big camp fire outside, fun vibe. Well decorated room with great amenities. I'll be back to stay again.
- 5/5
Always a great stay
- 3/5
The hotel requires a 100 deposit, because there are some over priced items in the room that you can buy. It says pay at the hotel but they only accept cards. They charged more than hotels. Com advertised for the room. I wont be going back, because it messed with my budget for the trip. We had to eat sandwiches rather than go out for dinner. The hotel was nice other than it being a scam.
- 5/5
great staff, clean room, nice vibe, friendly guests around campfire....
- 5/5
Room was great - comfortable bed - and hot tub was fun with other guests - conveniently located in Bend!
- 3/5
The room was recent but they don’t provide sheets or towels for without asking for them and got billed $50.61 after departure. For what?? They totally did not do anything and could not find reservation with my name.
- 5/5
Everyone is so nice. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Easy access to downtown. Love Campfire Hotel.
- 5/5
Clean room, very comfortable bed AND pillows! Cute place. Front desk very helpful and accommodating.
- 5/5
Cute, comfy and accommodating
- 5/5
The hotel ambience was phenomenal. I felt like I was at a lodge. Great amenities!
- 5/5
Clean and interesting. Great value!
- 4/5
Room was clean and comfortable.
- 5/5
The staff was friendly made checking in easy.
- 4/5
The room was fine. Not stellar, and too dimly lit for personal taste. Thematically entertaining.
- 5/5
Busy pool at night friendly staff
- 5/5
Hot tub and pool were perfect!
- 5/5
very cool hotel
- 3/5
It was a one night stay and part of me wishes we had stayed there longer
- 4/5
Room was fine, but we could not get TV to work. Also really noisy bathroom fan.
- 5/5
Staff was great! Hot tub was fun. The fire pit is really cool. And the rooms were comfy! Bathrooms could be updated.
- 5/5
Everything was so great!
- 5/5
Dog friendly! Great rooms, lovely hot tub and pool, good vibes.
- 5/5
We arrived late and left early so can't really give an expansive review.
- 3/5
It was a nice stay the front desk was super nice, the room was large and clean. Two issues, I got charged $41 extra, for what I am assuming is a pet fee? Also there was a very loud man talk-yelling in the hot tub the night we were there saying he has some connections to the hotel and wasn't a guest but he is a pub owner and knows someone who knows someone. He was super disruptive and we were just trying to relax after an emotional day at our uncles memorial service.
- 4/5
This is a lovely motel, on the side of a business road (e.g. lots of stores and traffic). The service is great, the rooms are very comfortable and clean.
- 5/5
Always a good time at the Campfire Hotel!!
- 4/5
We waited a very long time at the front desk to have someone come greet us and check in. The rooms are dated but beds were pretty comfy. I wish they had no smoking signs at the giant fire pit. My kids would’ve loved to roast marshmallows but adults were smoking.
- 5/5
Lovely staff, cute decor, love the theme. Will visit again ❤️
- 5/5
The only downfall was the parking. Had a great time and rooms and beds very comfor
- 4/5
Good hotel
- 5/5
Above and beyond! We stay at the Campfire Hotel every year. This property is fantastic. Great location. Generous amenities. Rooms are comfortable and spacious. Staff is friendly, accommodating, and helpful. We will be back next year!
- 5/5
The room was incredible. The pool, great! I could have stayed here for a week
- 5/5
Very cute and unique hotel!
- 4/5
Clean rooms. Really nice outdoor setting! We’ve stayed there twice and would stay there again.
- 5/5
Easy check in and out. Fun place.
- 5/5
Just needed a room for overnight. Has a cool camping, outdoor theme. Great location in downtown by restaurants . Highly recommmend.
- 3/5
Price was cheap, but I suppose you get what you pay for. The bed was like sleeping in a bean bag chair and the box spring was exposed and was very obviously not cleaned in a long time. There was a lot of hair and debris and stains
- 5/5
Awesome staff, great Rooms. Affordable and a free beer for myself and Partner. Great experience.
- 2/5
No place to walk the dog. We were placed on the second floor. The hotel overcharged for having our dog in addition to the fee.
- 4/5
This is an old motel to be a quirky boutique party hotel. Staff was great, and it was a fun stay, but you've got to be okay with the party vibe and huge drunk crowd at the pool.
- 4/5
Awesome outdoor area! Comfortable beds—just not THE cleanest bathroom
- 5/5
Good
- 5/5
This was a nice place to stay.. reserving thru hotels.com saved us quite a bit if money. Cery pleased with all of our accommodations!
- 4/5
Fun brand and merch! Delightful staff. We appreciated the fire pits and food trucks. However, the property needs major maintenance. Cement walkways in front of second floor rooms had broken apart and were unstable in places. Walls were thin and we could hear water dripping inside them well after the showers stopped. The floor shook when we walked on it. Too bad that most of the upgrades appear to be cosmetic rather than structural. We liked the vibe otherwise.
- 5/5
The room was very comfortable and the staff was incredibly professional and friendly. They handled an unexpected circumstance without hesitation and made sure I was well taken care of. The property is absolutely charming; warm-colored string lights in all the trees, a huge fire pit in the main parking lot, food/coffee trucks on property, and community seating areas that encourage friendly gatherings. I highly recommend experiencing the Campfire Hotel!
- 5/5
Hip hotel with very comfortable rooms. Nice outdoor seating areas. Just a short walk to downtown.
- 3/5
The desk clerk were efficient but not exactly pleasant. Cute hotel but would not stay again.
- 5/5
Did not use the pool, but people were in it, playing.
- 5/5
The campfire hotel is a large facility with a set of rooms across the road. There are lights in the trees. There’s a large gas fire pit going most of the time. It shuts off at night. They have a little bar and nice reception area. It has been here for a while, but the upkeep is very good. The pool is still open and 85° and there’s a hot tub. The rooms are tastefully made up and clean. Parking is a little bit of a challenge at times but overall this place is really nice!
- 5/5
Dopest place ever. So fun. Djs at the pool. Made friends.
- 5/5
The actual coolest hotel!! Super affordable, perfection on a road trip! Ended up staying 2 nights because we loved it so much! Def can’t wait to come back!
- 5/5
Adorable hotel. Very pet friendly. Spacious room.
- 1/5
The front desk receptionist at check-in came across as cold and dismissive, particularly toward older guests. Her communication lacked warmth and hospitality, and she declined our request to change rooms without offering alternatives. The interaction felt purely transactional, missing the kind of care and attentiveness that can truly transform a guest experience.
- 5/5
I was thoroughly impressed with my stay at this fantastic establishment! The woman at the front desk was exceptionally kind, understanding, and accommodating. The room was clean and comfortable. The pool area was stunning and the large firepit was a great touch! Despite being located on a busy street, the outside area was lovely, with beautiful lights and trees. I wholeheartedly endorse this place!

Clean rooms on the larger side, huge Roku TV, Massive community fireplace. Well be back
- 4/5
The staff were incredibly friendly (but not in an overly sugary over the top way - they were normal humans who seemed to enjoy their job. The fire pit was a terrific treat and the ambiance was just wonderful. I can't wait to return.
- 4/5
Cool idea with the camping theme, but still has the comfort factor of an older motel with the bed comfort and the old toilets. The bar was cool with a knowledgeable & friendly bartender. The front desk personnel was very friendly during check-in and checkout
- 3/5
Room was clean when we arrived. However, housekeeping was an item listed in description. What it failed to say that you had to request it. So we went a couple of days without it til we were told to request it. You have to bring your towels to the front desk to exchange. We needed another box of tissues but the front desk didn’t have any. The area is safe and everyone was friendly and courteous. Bend has many food trucks and taco places but not very much to offer above that. There are a few exceptions but the quality of the fare we found to be hit or miss.

The Campfire is a very cool, hip and fun place to stay in Bend, Oregon. Itʻs not a hotel, more of a motel right on a big parkway. In terms of the room, I found the ADA accessible room lacking. No closet or drawers for clothes. No table to eat at. No desk even for work. A friend booked another room that had a table, desk, and closet! Staff was friendly - but when I checked in, it took me forever to find my room in the dark. The staff member was not helpful and I was wandering around the maze of a property looking for my room number dragging bags in the cold and dark. I liked the food trucks parked at the property for breakfast and coffee. We did not have a car and walked downtown and there were some pretty unsavory areas surrounding Campfire. Wish I had brought a swim suit as the pools and camp fires were cool at night.
- 2/5
Room was nice but more of a motel than a hotel. Plenty of people on drugs or camping in tents adjacent to the property. Alley between the property and the 7/11 hosted a large group of vagrants. Parking for one vehicle and no more.
- 5/5
This is my favorite hotel in Bend!
- 5/5
Pet friend! Great location, friendly staff, the room was spacious and very cozy. Absolutely loved our stay. We will be back soon. 10/10
- 5/5
The staff was helpful with eating options. The room was clean. The fire was nice
- 4/5
I really like this hotel. Has a fun feel to it. Beware tho....there is an undisclosed $15 facilities fee charged at the hotel. Just to keep in mind when comparing prices.
- 5/5
Rooms are very quirky and fun. Was sad to see the phone had been stolen from the room.
- 5/5
It’s a very quaint hotel, it appears to be an older roadside motel that has been updated and converted into property that makes you feel like you’re camping out in the woods. The lights and bonfire at night create such a wonderful atmosphere with a few other amenities that reenforce a 50’s camper vibe.
- 4/5
Very hard to haul hiking gear, wedding clothes and suitcases up to the second floor.
- 5/5
Great vibe. Clean room, great location! Would stay again!
- 5/5
The campfire is a highlight. A fun place to stay. It is a short distance to downtown for shopping and eating options.
- 5/5
Great experience, love the atmosphere! Wonderful staff at check in. Love the added touch of the treat for my dog.
- 4/5
We really enjoyed the Campfire theme and felt the ambiance was great. Rooms were good sized and very reasonably priced through Expedia. However after checking out we were charged extra amenity and taxes that were not included in our Expedia purchase. You have to dig into the Expedia contract to see that these additional fees may be charged by the property themselves. All in all we had a very enjoyable stay in Bend at the Campfire Hotel.
- 4/5
Very comfortable room. Ample outdoor areas for fire pits and smokers. Noisy restaurant nest door. Shower designed for wheelchair users so not tall enough. Lots of drinks and snacks at exorbitant prices in the room. Would I stay again? Maybe.
- 3/5
We were unable to use the amenities because of the weather so I’m sure that would’ve changed our perspective. They looked really nice. Bed was excellent and so was the TV.
- 4/5
Room was just what we needed. All the essentials and even items you can buy. Shower was outdated so it would be nice to have a newer one.
- 5/5
Clean room with pleasant and hospitable staff!
- 5/5
Everything was great! Pool is alittle smaller than pics! And parking is kinda a nightmare…
- 5/5
All good
- 5/5
Plenty of outdoor settings for people to hang out Very pet friendly. The whole place has a relaxing vibe.
- 5/5
This hotel is a little bit of magic in the heart of the city. The pool and hot tub were amazing. I loved the ambiance of twinkling orange lights and the roaring fire pit at night. A great place!
- 5/5
Quirky and fun! Walkable to downtown. Would stay here again. Don’t miss the burrito truck in the morning ❤️
- 5/5
The staff was great! The front desk girl (I wish I remembered her name) with the amazing eyeshadow makeup was spectacular. Such a cute place. You can tell they put a lot of work into the detail of the rooms.
- 5/5
Great place!Good bar good wing place across the street.
- 4/5
Riom nice. Parking was tight.
- 4/5
Enjoyed it.
- 5/5
Spacious room, comfy bed, fun vibe, year-round pool and hot tub! Breakfast burrito truck for the morning. Great location; walkable from downtown Bend. Only minor strike was that the room didn't have enough power outlets.
- 5/5
We love this hotel. Love the saltwater pool and how down to earth everyone is. Love that it’s sort of a party hotel and you’re allowed to let loose!
- 4/5
Clean room and comfortable beds. Could use a little updating but decorated with a nostalgic vibe.
- 5/5
This place was super cute… had a fun outdoorsy theme! Front desk was friendly & gave great information about grounds. I was traveling alone & felt super safe. Would recommend
- 5/5
The property was cute and fun, lots to do just at the hotel.
- 5/5
We have stayed at campfire a few times and always had a very enjoyable experience. It is conveniently located.
- 1/5
We were disappointed with this hotel. They did not have the room that was advertised and would not do anything to accommodate the mistake in advertising. We were supposed to have a patio or balcony room. They said none existed and the advertisement was incorrect. We were treated poorly by the staff member that checked us in with attitude and uncaring behavior. The property itself was subpar. It was too theme focused and not focused enough on upgrades and repairs that should be made. Specially the second floor walkways, which were unlevel, had cracked concrete and very badly repaired. The whole thing needs replaced and probably out of code. The beds were not particularly comfortable, but again that goes with the theme, apparently they want you to feel like you are camping and just woke up from sleeping on the ground. The room was strangely decorated. It was giving old west ski lodge vibes with a motel 6 budget. Overall, this was not a pleasant experience. 10 out of 10, would NOT recommend!
- 5/5
Super fun design and branding
- 5/5
Good spot, kinda funky motel with character. Loved the vibe!
- 3/5
Okay property, parking is a nightmare and it’s pet friendly but doesn’t have anywhere to take them outside.
- 4/5
Had great in-room pour over coffee.
- 3/5
Average room. Pictures online are somewhat deceiving. For the price it was ok.
- 5/5
Adorable hotel! Lots of charm. Clean. We loved Bend, Oregon.
- 4/5
I loved the convenient location. The pool and spa were very relaxing. I wish they offered a continental breakfast, but otherwise it was pretty nice.
- 5/5
Staff and property was great!!! Food trucks on property was a great idea, easy to get food and not have to even lv the area. Would definitely recommend the hotel.
- 5/5
Great area close to everything
- 5/5
The service was friendly. Good coffee, comfy beds. Dog friendly
- 5/5
This place has so much more charm than any other hotel we’ve stayed. Decorated so well, inviting, great beverage options, food trucks for breakfast! We will definitely be back!
- 4/5
Cute place. It's an old motel style building that they've fixed up and modernized with a camp theme. They have a nice pool, but unfortunately, it was closed due to lightning when we tried to go. We really appreciated the breakfast burrito food truck that was there Sunday morning!
- 4/5
it is just a hotel
- 4/5
Waited 10 minutes to check in and no one showed up so we just ended up going into town. Came back several hours later and there was not anyone at check in again. This time we waited around 5 minutes and someone did come to check us in but she was not friendly at all.
- 5/5
Location is good.
- 5/5
I love the vibe of Campfire. The guest outdoor areas are awesome. The cocktails are so good at the bar! The rooms are comfortable and have all the amenities I need.
- 4/5
Friendly staff. Rooms are a bit run down and feel worn. For the price & the condition of the rooms, we’ll stay somewhere else next time.
- 2/5
Reception staff not friendly. Gave us the long way to get to hotel room. Smells musky in room. Not very convenient to walk places. Maybe good for families in the winter but not for couples.
- 5/5
Fun theme, reasonably priced, nice pool, nice little bar.
- 5/5
Outdoor spaces include a great swimming pool and hot tub area. There also is an awesome firepit area. The bar deck was great too.
- 2/5
Room was dark and a bit outdated. After checking out received an invoice with hiding fees and charges for things in the room that we didnt use.
- 4/5
The Campfire Hotel in Bend, OR, was notably clean, which is always a top priority for me when staying at a hotel. However, the kitschy orange and "campfire" theme, while likely intended to be fun, felt a bit tired and overwhelming. Additionally, the hotel's location on a very busy and noisy street, directly across from an unappealing strip mall, detracted from the overall experience.
- 5/5
Loved the unique atmosphere and all options in the room thst you could buy
- 5/5
Front desk and cleaning staff are awesome!
- 5/5
With hotels.com VIP program they gave you a drink on arrival. This place is super cute and hippie dip beats adorable upgraded, and clean worth the price.
- 3/5
Homeless camping right next to the hotel. Parking is not controlled and limited. Slots to rooms seems to be out of order. There were alot of vehicles without parking passes in the lot.
- 3/5
The room had a musty smell and you could only stream on the TV. No cable
- 5/5
Really cool place
- 2/5
The accommodations were substandard, I didn’t stay. I paid for one day but did not stay. The website is deceiving.
- 5/5
Clean, friendly, fun. Would stay here again
- 5/5
Cool remodeled motel in Bend. Off a busy street, in busy part of town, not walkable to areas you want to spend time. Pool was nice, rooms are comfortable. I think they are charging a hotel price for a motel though.
- 5/5
We absolutely love the campfire hotel. We try to stay there every time we are in town. The staff is always very friendly and helpful.
- 4/5
I liked campfire, the check in was smooth and when I had problems getting in the front desk was so nice to help me, also getting two free drinks was a nice perks. It can get loud again not a big issue but just be warned if your room is by the pit fire which mines was but again not a big deal, they provide ear plugs. My only issue was the parking with this place that it’s first come and their lot is small so when it busy you’re most likely have to park on the street which isn’t far if you fine it in the same block. Needless to say I would come back regardless of the parking.
- 4/5
It was very loud by the fire late at night
- 4/5
Nice upgraded motel. Nice vibe, a lot of young people, not many kids. Design is nice and grounds look good. Rooms are motel-like and could use some upgrades. Overall nice place but not worth the cost.
- 5/5
Easy to get too
- 5/5
This is the spot!! If you’re looking for an upbeat atmosphere and a good time around the pool and fireplace, book this hotel!! Cheers!!
- 4/5
Fun place to stay with a quirky vibe. Loved the lawn chairs, available bikes and nice amenities.
- 4/5
Very friendly and were able to get us checked in early before a concert we were attending. That was so helpful! The pool and hot tub were great. The whole atmosphere of the place was really cool. We would stay there again.
- 5/5
Beautiful place! Our only issue was parking
- 5/5
Staff is always amazing, guests are always happy to be there and make friends, breeds are so comfy, campfire at night is the best! Been going for years and will continue
- 4/5
The room was spacious, the bed was comfortable, the pool was awesome. And the bonus was the DJ at the pool playing great music!
- 5/5
We stayed for my son’s wedding. Quite a few had rooms and they were perfect! We also rented the banquet room for both the rehearsal dinner and the day after wedding brunch…. Wendy is hands down the best! Thank you for everything!
- 4/5
Cute but a bit over priced for what you get. The decor and place itself is really fun and cool. A couple of things fell short for me for a $300 a night hotel. The shower pressure wasn’t great and the head didn’t move. The bed was awesome and comfortable but you could hear people walking above you. We really loved the girl at the front desk. She was fun and helpful. Didn’t get to try the pool out but nice to have the option. We got in late the two nights we were there and there was no parking but some on the street. Overall a good hotel.
- 4/5
Fun stay
- 5/5
Amazing, beds are so comfortable and staff is amazing! Don't listen to any of the negative reviews Just Go! You will be happy you did.
- 5/5
a great stay minutes from downtown and such a cute and cozy atmosphere!
- 4/5
Cute hotel. Enjoyed the pool and fire pit.
- 4/5
This was a very cute stay for a quick
- 5/5
Great!0
- 5/5
Rooms were clean. Pool and hot tub was great
- 5/5
Everything happy camper could possibly want.
- 5/5
Great hotel close to downtown, old Mill district. Would totally stay again.
- 5/5
👍
- 4/5
Would be great if they offered more amenities for pets, like water /food bowls, as a pet friendly hotel. Otherwise, great.
- 1/5
No parking dirty and had a strong smell
- 1/5
I felt very unsafe. I checked in went to dinner and came back and there was man drinking hard alcohol heckling me. I was on the ground level next to the trash/ recycling and fire pit. I ended up checking out right away and I would like a full refund. I would not recommend this place.
- 5/5
Loved the design and feel of the property
- 4/5
This was a very cute and stylish little spot. The bed was comfortable, and it was great that it had bunks for the kids. The atmosphere was so relaxing and unique. The pool and hot tub were lovely and lit with cafe lights. Loved the free drink and the oatmeal bar in the morning. The staff were friendly. The only complaint is that the AC was very loud and kept me awake going on and off.
- 3/5
Parking is horrible. The carpet was filthy, can’t see it because it’s so dark, but our feet and socks were so dirty. They don’t do housekeeping so you need to ask for clean towels and coffee. Street is loud if you stay by the lobby.
- 5/5
We booked a night here before the start of a business trip and loved it. Beautiful room, quiet, close to everything and loved the pool party and vibe of the place. We will not be staying anywhere else but here for our future trips.
- 3/5
The staff was friendly and accommodating. Quirky, kitschy, and fun environment. Negatives: The cooling system was inefficient and very loud. Also, bed frame needed vacuuming…hair and other debris visible. Lastly, in-room coffee concept…hanging filter thing, was a no-go.
- 5/5
It was a very pleasant stay. We would consider going back.
- 4/5
However… Cons: Worst shower head and toilet ever! Shower-head was stuck and so high that we all got sprayed in our faces the entire shower (even my tall husband hated it). Got the whole bathroom floor wet too...horrible design. Toilet is from the 70s. Basically the whole bathroom is very dated and barely functional. Would give 10 stars if shower-head situation improved.
- 5/5
We liked that it was a short walk to downtown Bend. Very enjoyable.
- 5/5
Cool spot. Great ambiance. Saw reviews saying it was noisy, but it was quiet for us on a Thursday night. Yes, music going until 10pm (which added to the ambiance), but we were enjoying a summer night anyway. And they were strict about shutting things down at 10pm.
- 1/5
Terrible
- 4/5
Be aware, parking is a nightmare. Not nearly enough spaces for how many rooms they offer. The water pressure in the shower was also pretty horrible, so it took forever to get shampoo/conditioner out of our hair.
- 5/5
Fantastic place to stay with pets and kids. Heck I’d stay there if it was just me too. Great pool and firepit areas with outdoor chill spaces!
- 5/5
Loved this hotel - staff was great, rooms were big and a fun property all around. Will definitely stay again!
