    The room was clean but all the towels I had for a 4 day stay was all dingy I ended up going to nearby Walmart getting some towels … the cleaning staff was rude even denied taking my trash saying it was my last day I need to leave when I explained to her that I paid for an extra day she then took my trash … bed was good even though they don’t use fitted sheets so I was constantly adjusting the bed covers

    Breakfast at $15 a guest is more than the average diner. The room we initially got placed in smelled horrible. They moved our room and it still had a urine odor but we bought air freshener and dealt with it to avoid moving rooms again. The lobby had a bucket in the middle of the walkway. There was not fresh coffee or water in the lobby like most hotels. Pool hot tub did not work . There were no towels In the pool at 730am this morning. Not a hotel I’d choose to stay at again

    This hotel is updated and clean. Staff was great. The beds were pretty soft but I think this is due to wear which was disappointing. The bathroom in the double queen rooms are way too small. You can’t close the bathroom door if standing in front of the toilet.

    Beautiful hotel and the staff was very helpful, friendly and professional. The room was nice. The bathroom is super small. So small the door almost hits the toilet and in order to get around into the shower, you have to shut the door fully. Also, the room was stuffy and though I set the air to 67 (not cool enough for me) it shut off and the room held at what it said to be 68. It felt warmer than that because there was no air movement and I couldn’t get the fan to turn on.

    Checkin was super easy, cookies great of course! Luggage trolleys handy. Hallways and room were clean. The bath mat and towels could do with replacing. Like the fridge in the room - sooo handy. Extra pillows given on request. Plenty of soap. I wish hotel hairdryers had a nozzle on the - they should have the fixed on if they are getting lost. The breakfast was a good spread.

    Problems included a hallway that stunk like weed and the smell drifted into the room. And for a Suite of this size, with a microwave, and a dishwasher….there was no paper towels…silverware or plates at all!! Why have a dishwasher if there’s nothing to put in it? Have stayed at less fancier hotels and they ALWAYS have utensils in their suites. Needs to be looked into.

    The staff was amazing! I was in town visiting my mom at the hospital and had to keep extending my stay and the staff was so accommodating and let me keep my original room. The lobby bar was a great spot to stop in after a long day at the hospital. Great and friendly bartenders as well. My room was very clean and comfy as well. I would definitely stay again.

    Booked a double room king bed through Expedia that listed a separate bedroom with pictures of the same. At check in we were provided a standard king room. When addressed with the hotel, we were told the room booked on a third party site is not a type of room offered on the hotel’s direct website and that we would have to address it with the third party booking site. They also would not price correct or refund us the difference for the standard room even though it cost less. The standard room also had a terrible smell, and I should note, they did not have any issue upgrading our friends to a suite at no charge who booked through them directly.

    The only reason I gave four stars was the front desk. They were not at all friendly and moved at a snail's pace. It took me twenty minutes to check in and out. I had to hear all about your wonderful cookies from the people in front of me and was never even offered one. The property is beautiful.You need a staff upgrade.

    However there a couple things that could be improved: -When I checked in I was not told what time check out was, about the pool hours, WiFi etc. The two women at the front desk were more interested in finishing their side conversations. -One of the elevators is flat out un-safe. It creaks and squeaks and one of the buttons to take you back to the lobby area does not light up/it will not take you back to the lobby. I would stay here again as long as the elevator was fixed.

    Obviously not the newest property but the hotel is clean, the beds are comfortable, and the gym equipment is in good condition. Those are my big three things that I need in a hotel! Additionally, the pool is nice, but the jets don’t work in the hot tub. Parking is plentiful, every chain store and restaurant is a short drive away. The water in Bloomington is repulsive but the hotel has bottled water and filtered water in the gym and lobby.

    The property was great - we ate breakfast in the dining room, used the pool and fitness center. But the check-in process was disappointing. I called on Thursday to make sure a queen, accessible was reserved for us (traveling with elderly father) - I was assured by the person at the front desk (“Tre” or “Trey” sp?) that she had reserved it for us. My brother was reserved in a room a few doors down. He arrived a couple hours before us on Friday (around 6pm) and found out he was in the room that we had been told was reserved for us and we were in another room. But same floor so it was fine - he told the person at the desk we’d be there in an hour. We arrived and found out that we didn’t have an accessible room. The room my bro was in was also not accessible although that was the original room “held” for us when I called on Thursday. So we said it’s fine we’ll take the room by my brother since we were still on the same floor. But that room had been given away and we were now on the 4th floor. No accessible rooms were available either. We stayed in a regular queen and it was fine but the process was a pain. I’ve stayed here before and at the Skokie location twice and our reservation for an accessible has always been messed up even though I call the day before to confirm. The person at the desk said she would talk to the manager about a discount (she offered - I didn’t ask), but we never heard anything from anyone. Nice hotel but the process was a hassle.

    Handle/flusher on toilet was broken, wifi didn't work, sauna appeared to be out of order. Room was very clean and bed was comfy. Service at adjacent restaurant was pretty poor, but I arrived at 8:30 pm and maybe they were winding down for the night.

    Overall the hotel was great. The one thing that I didn’t like was our bathroom and how tiny it was and there were some spots that could have been cleaned more. The beds etc were great. Great coffee and loved the makeup mirror by the coffee! Cookies were a nice treat and staff were great. Will stay again but will ask for a larger bathroom

    I'm a bit disappointed considering what I paid. The jetted bathtub doesn't plug, phones didn't work to call front desk for basic needs like bedding (carried them all back to the room). And a blanket from the front desk with clumps of hair all over it. I thought the first clump was a cockroach. Two very gross stains on the pull out bed. I Expected a lot more from the doubletree by Hilton than what I got

    Service was fine for check-in and check-out; nothing outstanding or spectacular, but that’s expected with a moderate-priced hotel chain. The best service I received was from the cleaning crew on the morning of my departure, with each team member giving me a welcoming smile and a “Thanks for staying with us!” That team definitely knows how to give a great experience and it certainly spills over into the level of attention they give to the rooms they take care of, too. Big commendation to that team and their leader!! Coffee service in the morning was disappointing, as both mornings during my stay there was no fresh coffee available and I had to get from their breakfast restaurant, giving me an awkward feeling like I was being a rule-breaker. Overall though, the stay was pleasant, quiet, and comfortable. I will certainly stay again the next time I am in Bloomington for business.

    Bar was nice. The bar and grill had a great late night app special. Free parking. They let us check in before noon on a Saturday, which is extra points! Only complaint, the hot tub jets did not work (not a huge deal)

    I have stayed at this hotel many times for business over the years. The cookie at check in was fantastic! However, I was disappointed in the room this time. The shower barely had any water pressure and the light kept flickering on and off. Overall, the hotel is a nice hotel.

    We were on the floor near the room that was cause for the fire department response. Due to the incredibly strong smell of marijuana that found its way into our room I have been nauseous and dizzy all day. All of our clothes smelled terrible as well. While this wasn’t necessarily the fault of the hotel, the negligence of even simple courtesy was astonishing. I overheard reception talking and laughing about the incident. “We apologize for the inconvenience…” would have been a good start.

    It is a very nice hotel. I was there for a special event. Disappointed that they didn’t offer free breakfast. Room service was offered, but you had to have requests on door by midnight and specify what time you wanted it delivered. I don’t always know what time I am going to wake up.

    I asked for a crib in the room before hand, even though it wasn’t installed when I arrived, the staff brought it shortly after we arrived. There wasn’t also enough towels, but the staff brought them in no time. Overall a good place to overnight if you are traveling and driving by.

    The breakfast was mediocre based on the fact that we had to pay for it and it was no better than at a La Quinta where it was free the day before. The only good thing was real silverware and dishes, so not creating more garbage. Keep that up!
