The property seems like it was recently renovated and is very well kept. The staff is very helpful and changed our towels every time we asked… our room was great, with a beautiful bathroom (a big plus for my wife). The pool is clean and with a lot of chairs, but during our stay people barely used… there are only six beach chairs and umbrellas. We had no problem finding one…the beach is the jewel of this property, only 2 minutes walk. Definitely we will come back to this area or even to this Inn. We loved it.

We enjoyed our stay! The staff were very attentive and helpful. The beach was just across the street from our room, and it wasn’t real crowded so we were able to relax. We got a beautiful view of the sunset!!

This has to be one of our favorite places we’ve stayed in Anna Maria!! The hotel is completely renovated, the rooms remind me of Serena & Lily with coastal wallpaper, bright and airy! You can walk across the road to the beach, which was exactly what we wanted! We played cornhole as the sun went down. The pool was refreshing! We wanted to stay longer!!

Bad experience- came back to the room from dinner in the evening and key/ wristband wouldn’t work, Went to the front desk 3 times, new bands were given to us but still couldn’t get into our room, We stood outside the room for almost 2 hours before maintenance could get us in. Front desk didn’t apologize once and were very nonchalant about the entire situation. We then had to pack up and move to another room, by this time it was almost midnight. And to top it off, we pulled down the sheets to go to bed and a baby roach ran across the bed. When I spoke to the manager the next morning, she never apologized and didn’t flinch at all when I told her about the roach in the sheets. They gave me a small discount on one night, which I felt was really pathetic. Poor customer service, I will NOT be returning.

Very clean, brand new facility. Awesome that it has 2 pools to use, with one being on the beach. Ladies in the office were not very informative on things and someone had a dog down stairs yapping all day and night. No microwave or grilles available so that kills my 1 week stay in the summer, but I really did like the stay.

The property was recently renovated and the check in staff could not be more helpful and kind. It was literal steps from the beach, maybe a one minute walk. Beautiful place to stay, very close to many good eats. Loved this resort and will definitely return.

The staff was so nice! If you travel with kids and want easy - everything, this is your place! They have lavazza coffee machines and I enjoyed that a lot! Everything in the room was brand new! Literally EVERYTHING.

Yes. Would recommend placing a broom in the room, so guests can get rid of the sand themselves, instead of waiting for housekeeping service.

It doesn’t yet exist - it’s not close to being finished!! Arrived on Anna Maria island and followed satnav to the address - to find a shell of a building with one sign around the back indicating it is where we should be staying. Phoned the number given to be go around on a loop. Managed to catch a cleaner in a property close by to point us to a local office. Stated the problem at which point the lady phoned her manager. We were offered a beach front king suite - at an upgrade price which we took (later refunded by the room) The room was fabulous - however it was not a suite - just a room. We have a great couple of nights there - but marred by the blatant mis selling of a property that is far from finished ! Due your due diligence and check!

The room was nice except for the door and the window you got a glass door was very bright lights out front and it was like sleeping in a lit parking lot. We tried to put beach towels and everything else trying to cover the light. It helps some, but there’s no such thing as a dark room would suggest you get a new door.

Very nice stay! Quiet, walk out onto sand. Clean room, comfy bed. Bathroom was very nice. Shower was big and new. The mini fridge is very small. No microwave or stove. Also, no iron. However, I enjoyed my stay and would comeback.

Free trolly that goes around island - the stop was right across the street. Only thing was we were in the more expensive set of buildings but the only pool was a distance away. Very clean and great staff.

I reported the AC wasn't working 3 times and nobody fix the problem for my request

The location across the from the beach was perfect. It was not far from bars and resturants. We had brought our own scooters which made travel from various locations so much easier. Hotel was awesome but our reservation was not updated at the hotel from Booking.com. Not sure where the error was made but the hotel did adjust for the change in room and added our additional night stay, however we had to pay additonal with the hopes of being reimbursed (still waiting for confirmation regarding this). It was a little noisy as it is on a main drag, also lots of construction.

Good enough for the price

Location is great, and staff (when available) was very helpful. You've probably seen someone complain about this here. The address given does not match the reception desk. We sent Booking messages, to no avail. Only when we called they tld us the reception is across the street from the inn. Good coffee maker and shampoos. Surprisingly good mattress. Good room size. No hot water in the shower, not even warm - this was a disaster. We had to take almost cold showers in the evening and in the morning. Tiny, tiny shower cubicle - I was hitting my elbow on the wall all the time. Back door lock not working. Old building, with some stains on the wall. Air conditioning would wake us up in the middle of the night.

*BED BUGS* We stayed at this airbnb for my mothers birthday. 3 out of the 6 of us who were staying there came back with bites all over their legs. Some of the lights inside the airbnb did not work, we had to request someone to come fix them. The outside big patio lights did not work. During our check-in, the front desk lady gave me 3 different codes to the lockbox because she was very distracted. Maintaince had to come by and figure out the code with me to enter. I spent 30min out in the heat trying to get in. Only nice thing about this place was being able to swim in the pool and the beach was walking distance.

I already shared my feelings with the property. I will not be back again. If I didn't have a credit, I wouldn't have gone there in the first place. I waisted my credit.

I was a little scared when I booked because trip advisor had mixed reviews but we loved everything about our staff if you were in the fence do it ! Great place location and service it’s a quaint awesome beach and would come back again !!! Kid friendly too ! My children loved it !!!

My room was 301 and honestly the room is quite old, they were not dirty but noises came out from all sides, if they walked upstairs everything was audible, the first night we could not sleep because of all those noises we had to buy earplugs. We could never use the pool because the guests of the hotel that was opposite also have access and it was full of a family that was more than 30 people.

I planned this vacation to relax at a nice quiet place, this was a bad choice, really noisy, pool really small, full of people screaming with loud music, and the pool is like right outside the rooms, so we couldn’t even be in our room, we bought a bottle of wine thinking we could seat in the terrace and relax. Well, that did not happened, my friend who stayed next to me went to the front desk and they just told her there was nothing they could do during the day, after 11pm we could call the police. We could not sleep since there were a lot of people staying in the room above us and they spend the night walking and making noice, this Ana maria Island inn is nothing like what you see in medias. Dont go there if you want to relax.

Super cute place and I loved how nice the staff was. I also loved they provided chairs and umbrellas for the beach.

The address given was for one of the buildings and had to ask a person on where to check in. It was not on the property and the person says "everyone" says the same thing that it is not clear where to go. I was told that the shower is hard to operate, and you just have to pull hard. I wondered why it wasn't fixed if they knew about it. I looked at it and the trim were missing 2 screws. A trip to ACE hardware could have solved the issue but appears the easiest thing to do is just warn the client. I noticed that someone came into our room and the only thing they did was fold up the shower mat and put it on the tub. I thought that was odd. The kitchen was stocked with minimal silverware. No glasses, other than wine glasses.

We had a pool view room on the 1st floor. Parking was right outside our door! It was very hard to figure out where to check in (especially in the dark). I had to ask someone where to go- it's across the street. The pool was beautiful, although a little too warm! The showers did not have hot water, and the room decor could use updating. I felt safe there with my son. Most days we had to pool to ourselves. Great location to the beach! The chair & umbrellas were nice to have! Would stay here again in the future!

The location is perfect! Not too far into the island that you get stuck in traffic. The girls at check in were super nice. The room had its little quirks that can be easily fixed with a trip to a hardware store. Otherwise it was clean. Stocked with what you need to make your stay comfortable. Pots, pans, utensils, cups,etc. Would definitely stay again.

The stay was quiet, somewhat uncomfortable due to some leaks and mold on the bathroom ceiling, otherwise everything was fine.

Location was beyond excellent. The room is gorgeous, loved the decor. Air conditioning worked just fine and loved the beach chairs and deck. Staff was friendly. For the price, I felt there could be more amenities. Even some bottled water in the fridge would be a nice touch . I get that the price is high due to location but there was nothing extra and the parking lot is a nightmare to pull out of. But, we enjoyed our stay for sure ?.

We really enjoyed staying at Tropic isle at Anna Marie. The location was great. The beach access was just across the street. Easy to walk to places. The beach near here was quiet and not overly crowded which was nice as well. Would definitely stay here again.

Water was not hot when it needed to be. I took 3 cold showers. OLD FURNITURE!! OLD STOVE!! Save your money and find a good place to stay!

When I did my check in they don’t have my key room and they make me wait 25 minutes to get another room for me and then it was a big cockroach I have the video and you can see I stay in other places and never complain but this one it was crazy….

I loved how close this property is to the beach. My daughter and I also never heard anyone else while we stayed, which was nice! You feel like you’re in your own private apartment complex.

The entrance to the room is too late, I checked in before four in the afternoon and even though I was waiting with my children to enter the room, the customer gave me the wrong room code three times and I could not enter after 30 minutes. He also mentioned that I would receive a message when the room was ready, which never arrived.

For $323 a night this was a place that was comfortable but needed lots of upgrades. On some of the appliances and toilet the enamel was actually chipped of which leaves me to think it was repainted. The porch furniture had so much dirt of me we had to clean it before we could use it and the rag was "black" with dirt. I was just very disappointed. For that price I expected more. Plus, when we got there we realized that we paid $100 more a night going through hotels.com than if we booked privately.

We loved the atmosphere, location and designated beach area … would deff stay again .. only down fall was cockroaches, not just one but we killed more than 10.

The area is the beach and the facilities are very nice and clean but the rooms are very small for the cost per night and they need to remodel the inside of the rooms.

We found booking for this property in a little bit confusing because they have multiple buildings with different names. It was difficult to tell which were beachfront how are they were from the beach, which was important to us since there isn't much public parking. This particular property is a short walk across the street to the beach. They're pretty strict about check in and check out times. The outside is really cute but you're paying the high price for the location, not the amenities.

In all honesty the property was awesome, the pool was fabulous. The staff was great they helped with all our needs. The downfall was we both ended up with sick our 2nd nite out of 5.. which made our trip miserable. Flying home was worse. Thank you for your hospitality. The Schroeders.

When we got to our room German roaches scattered while I made the kids bed. Went back to front office and they moved us to another hotel a few miles away that was rundown. Our other option was a room above the lobby with no functioning lock. All for the bargain price of $652/night!

Nice 2nd floor room overlooking pool. Basically a studio apartment, fridge, cooktop, coffee maker, very convenient to eat in if you wished. Right across the street from awesome beach! The office staff were helpful, and you can use the chairs and umbrellas from the sister property across the street.

The heated pool was not just ok to pop in but was warm enough to literally enjoy all day long. Was a hidden plus I hadn’t counted on using and we loved every minute by the pool.

Very clean. Centrally located on Island. General lodging overpriced. Couldn't figure out cable situation. Couch very uncomfortable to sit on. It rained so these were important issues.

We were excited when we arrived & saw that the office was on the gulf but our room was actually across the street. The room was nice, closet storage, kitchenette, nice bathroom but no dresser or chest. We were only there overnight but it would be great for a longer stay. The location was not close to many restaurants-we had hoped to walk but were not close to anything. The wi-fi was not working-we reported it & were told spectrum was working on it (didn’t work at all while we were there). The worst part were the people next to our room. In addition to smelling pot smoke all night, it sounded like they were throwing furniture. It lasted until 6:00 in the morning, so no sleep for us.

The room was very small and not user friendly. No closet to put your clothes, no place to put the suitcases and no place to hang your wet towels. So much noise from upper level you could not sleep. Talked to manager on duty and she would not do anything and told me because I booked it on line I was out of luck. Not going back there again. Also had to cross a busy highway with no crosswalk to check in and talk to the manager. No phone in room. No local TV channels to watch.

We came down early before meeting friends and wanted to stay near the beach. We found this one and so glad we did! The room was comfortable, the view of the pool was great (and the pool was warm!) and the walk to the beach was just steps away!

We received an upgrade for convenience at no extra charge. The individuals at the desk were very accommodating and quite pleasant. The room was exceptional. Loved the attention to details. Can't wait to return.

The hotel was amazing. Clean, neat and modern. Easy walk to restaurants. Everyone was nice and very accommodating.

Quite disappointed in this property. Rusted shower curtain, mold in shower and on bathroom floor and very uncomfortable bed. They were doing landscaping during our stay (wasn't told) and everything was tore up. We were woken up by equipment and worker noise. Pool was dirty. If you are brining your pet, know that pet fees are $50/day per pet, plus they taxed the pet fees 12%! Nothing within walking distance except the beach. I have stayed on AMI many times, and believe me there are so many much nicer places that here - keep looking!

The staff at the office is very attentive and friendly. One note on the service: I’ve booked a room for 3 people and only the king bed was done. I had to get the sofa bed ready.

We were informed a week before our stay that they will be doing renovations and that we had been moved to one of their sister properties. At first I was reluctant but was very pleased with the upgrade. "The Retreat" was a definate upgrade and we enjoyed it to the fullest. The property was very clean, great location and the bed was extremely comfortable. I just wish we had stayed longer.

We had a great visit - the beach is gorgeous and the beach access is very convenient to the property. The only negative comment is in reference to smoking. I enjoy a cigarette once in a while, so I looked into a smoking area on the property before I reserved a room. I was told at that time that there was a designated smoking area. Upon check-in I was told the entire resort was non-smoking and the designated smoking area was the parking lot. If I hadn't asked in advance, I don't think I would have thought twice about it, but having asked, I was disappointed - no place to sit, no ash trays, just a gravel parking lot where I could stand to smoke, then knock off the end and carry my cigarette butt back to the room to put in the trash.

Everything was fantastic! Only complaint would be all swimming pools need to be cold water!

Pool needs cleaning very dirty, and when the staff came to clean the room they only brought towels. No restock of body wash or nothing. Front desk staff was amazing. There is a busy intersection trying to cross is a hassle but other than that great location, beach was beautiful

Booked a second story king suite with partial ocean view. Recieved a room on a very, very busy street with a view of a hotel across the street and a dumpster. Their answer was to offer us a second story room on the beach for an extra 1800.00. They single handedly ruined my 25th anniversary trip. I even paid extra for a room we didnt get.

Beautiful beach just across the street and good restaurant options are a short walk from the property. Very nice private area set up at the beach with chairs and umbrellas for daily use. The property is located on a curve so make sure the traffic has stopped before crossing.

I was so disappointed in the room at this hotel. The grounds and exterior of the hotel are kept up well and the housekeeping staff does a great job as our room was very clean. The condition of the room, however, was a huge letdown! When we arrived we circled the building twice looking for the check-in office. Eventually we tracked down one of the housekeeping staff and she explained that you check in at the sister motel across the street. They need to at least post a sign so you don’t leave all your guests circling the property clueless and frustrated. The office for check-in at Seaside (across the street) is awkwardly small. The staff have to keep asking you to step out of their way in order to move around their office space. That said the gentleman that checked us in was great. We headed back across the street, and moved into our room. We were so disappointed! The couch had holes and stains on it, one of the legs of the coffee table was broken, the knob for the faucet on the bathroom sink came off in my hand, the under-cabinet lighting covers were all broken and hanging down, the shower head wasn’t secured properly to the wall, the lampshade was stained. It just appeared that little to no care was put into this room or the experience a guest would have staying there. I would definitely recommend looking elsewhere for a room on AMI since this was quite expensive for low-quality accomodations.

A very quaint property and very clean. The bed was great we slept like babies. Super to just walk across the street to the beach. The only thing we could get on the tv was Netflix but we didn’t call the front desk to ask how to work the tv. Look forward to returning.

We love everything about this venue including the easy access to the beach. The unit we've stayed in for 2 years in a row is starting to show some wear, i.e. cracking tiles in the floor of the bathroom, etc. Otherwise, it was a great stay again this year!

First off the picture they have to advertise the property is way off . It was so small we did not have room between bed and walls to get up had to crawl across the bed. Smallest shower I have ever seen . Toilet very little room . No phone in room to call management. Tv is streaming and most of the channel’s you have to you your own membership. Could not use beach due to red tide . Could not cancel that was awful . Most of all could not lock door when leaving had to leave it unlock. Lamp did not work. When we first got there there was a very nice pice scent we went out and when we can back the musty odor was awful ! It permeated my Capp machine and I was smelling it the day after we got home . To think we spent almost 700 for the night is a sin . This hotel is not worth 100 a night . Really bate and sitch going on there.

Red Tide ruined our trip as the beach is the reason we came to the area. We were severely effected and unable to spend any time outside even the dog was effected
