It said Comfort Inn, which is comfort just like it’s name. It’s peaceful and quiet. I came in here with my two children and everything was going smooth. The front desk lady was very professional and kind. We were very comfortable with the bed and the room was soothing for my autistic child. He didn’t get overwhelmed with any noise and discomfort like we did at the hotel on East Castro Valley. My children had to go to school so they had breakfast, the breakfast was a buffet, I would give it 5 star breakfast. Everything including their bathroom is new and very clean. I felt very comfortable taking shower and showering my children. Just stayed one night and decided for addition night, and the house maid asked me if I needed towels and extra sheets. She was very professional and skilled. I would recommend it, compared to all the hotel I stayed over the years.

I found the mattress to be extremely hard and uncomfortable. Room fixtures feel grimy like everything needs a deep clean. Dingy carpet, chair upholstery cracked etc. The pillows were lumpy and extremely uncomfortable. I asked for a more comfortable room or newer pillows but he said the pillows were new and all the rooms were the same.

Worth the money....

The reviews were misleading. I chose Comfort Inn because of brand recognition and star rating. From the furniture to the carpet, everything was old and outdated. Some pieces do furniture had tears in them, like done with a knife/blade. My first night was horrible. The bed sank in the middle, I ended up laying sideways and the foot of the bed. It was the only somewhat level part of the bed. My neighbor was yelling to himself until after midnight. I did not fell safe to report him. The next morning, I changed rooms. Although the room was not any better. There seems to be a couple families living there long term. My first morning there, there was not much food left. One of the long term guests took about 5 plates full of food up to her room and left scraps for me. Seems like she feeds her family that for the whole day. I have stayed at several Comfort Inns and always had a good experience. I did not feel safe and will never return to this location.

Location There was a company next door that had a generator or something running constantly including at Night.

The person who checked us in was great in assisting with our special needs. Breakfast was nice. The issue was unclean bed sheets. Does housekeeping think that a guest wouldn't notice?

I was locked out my room and my person on my important longest was locked in the room for a while, and I had to wait until they was able to get the door open to get my stuff to change to a different round.So I was trying to get a free room complimentary , thank you

Everyday all day. Some individuals will smoke cigarettes. There are 2 or 3 residents that live here full time. They are seniors. THEY SMOKE in there rooms. Not just cigarettes but Marijuana. The smell is gross. I complained each day, but what can they do. I have to come to Castro Valley for medical appointments once a month. I won't stay here again! Very disappointed.

The check in was quick. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. Only two complaints: the water did not drain down into the sink easily or quickly, and the key card took multiple times to unlock the door. Not big issues for me. For the price, I would definitely stay here again.

All the staff I encountered during my stay were courteous and friendly: from the front desk, to breakfast staff, to housekeeping. My room was clean and comfortable. The continental breakfast offered plenty of options, including some of my favorites: fresh fruit, scrambled eggs, and a waffle iron.

Area is a bit sketchy. First floor rooms have a sliding glass door leading to an alleyway behind the hotel. For a woman traveling solo, the safety risk here is pretty terrible. FD agent seemed irritated when I asked to be moved to an upper floor.

It’s not swanky, but it’s clean and had everything we needed. The staff was very friendly, accommodating and timely when we needed things for our one year old (like a tub stopper for the tub and a crib). Plus! Front desk had cookies at night and it’s across the street from mini golf. Affordable and cozy.

A breakfast was good. Why didn’t you change to bacon and a little bit better sausage because the sausage were too dry. My room was very clean. The parking was excellent and the staff was very prompt.

We were driving an electric vehicle and needed to be up early. Knowing that there was at least 1 EV station we called as we neared the Comfort Inn and the front desk clerk informed us that another guest was occupying it. That's fine; that allowed us to plan. We pulled into a DC fast charge station and within minutes our phone rang. It was the front desk informing us the other guest was merely parked near the station and wasn't using it; the station was available and we were welcome to charge during our stay. After thanking them we drove to our destination and arrived at the parking garage. To our delight the front desk clerk recognized we were in an EV looking for the station and was waiting for us to assist in plugging in even before we checked in. Take note: this is being a proactive innkeeper. We felt overwhelmingly welcomed during check-in as our front desk contact made us feel totally at home. I'm not entirely sure but I believe his name was Espin or Esbin. Frankly, I would be more inclined to stay at Comfort Inns if I knew he was manning the front desk. As far as the actual stay the room was satisfactory. The morning breakfast was another story, but that's due to the food quality. The lobby and dining areas were clean and sanitary. I was a little bit offended by the portrait of sunny side up eggs and bacon whilst neither were offered at breakfast.

The hotel was okay. Nothing too extravagant. I stayed one night due to my friend having a baby at the hospital. I didnt like the quality of the breakfast.

The mattress on the bed nearest the door ss horrible in room 233. It needs to be replaced! It's worn such that there is a sink hole. The mattress topper does NOT solve the problem.

Stayed in this hotel several times. The rooms though aging but were clean, the staffs were always friendly. Would be nice to have some variety on different days for breakfast. The lady working every morning at the dinning room really showed her passion to take care of the area.

The concerns are the bed and pillows were extremely uncomfortable. The food could be improved. Both days the same breakfast was served and the meat was overcooked, the eggs were undercooked.

We had a fantastic experience. We stayed one night. The staff who checked us in was amazing, and the staff who checked us out was also amazing, housekeeping, too, and the staff in the dining room great too. Very clean and spacious.

The stay experience was very easy and comfortable! I loved that there was a putt-putt place nearby as well as food options and a gas station in case we needed anything. But also the hotel itself had a lot of amenities and anything that we did need, they happened to have. Their breakfast was incredibly yummy with lots of options as well as a popcorn machine in the lobby was a cute touch! All the staff was very friendly and the room was perfect. I would definitely stay here again.

Very conveniently located and walkable to shops and restaurants. We stay there every time we need to stay overnight in Castro Valley and have done so for a number of years. Value for the money is good. Simple but decent breakfast buffet is more than adequate as a start for the day. No complaints!

The price was good, but the room smelled like stale cigarette smoke, and appeared dingy. The breakfast options were good but we were in a van and parking was difficult due to the small spaces and limited underground parking.

The location was great for us, We needed laundry and oil change. There was a laundromat and JiffyLube next door. Bed was comfy, night was quiet. Breakfast was good. Overall a decent no frills stay.

Picked this place and although it was just 1 night, it was a clean room rather big. I picked floor 3 when they asked and the corner room has windows on 2 sides. Room was clean. Excellent food nearby. I didn’t walk but wanted too. Checking in and out was fine.

The property is located in a bad area. Actual location does not match the hotel pictures. Homeless staying in cars all day and night in the hotel parking lot. This is the worst Comfort Inn I have stayed in.

I find this place clean, comfortable with a central location. They also have a free electric car charger which was AMAZING as I rented an electric car! The breakfast is good. The staff was friendly and helpful. Everything you need is a walk or short car ride down the road. I have stayed here twice and will book here again!

I remember staying at this hotel in the past and my experience was very positive. Unfortunately, this stay was not as comfortable, as the room had a strong smell of cigarette smoke. I saw signs indicating smoking is not permitted at the hotel but the room definitely smelled like cigarette smoke. It was difficult to get a good night’s sleep because of the smell.

Overall, not bad for the value. Was as expected. Great room size and pretty clean.

The facility itself was OK. It’s located in a busy area, but there really wasn’t any noise. I was on the second floor and I liked that I could open up the sliding glass door to let air in while I was sleeping. But the bed was incredibly uncomfortable. I had a very hard time getting to sleep and staying asleep. Also, the water never actually reached the point where it was hot. It’ll be warm, at times very warm, but it was never hot.

Excellent service , went in for a wedding and they allowed me to check in early so we could get ready . Breakfast was Excellent. When we checked out the front desk they remembered about the wedding and brought it up and that made me feel soecial . Overall great stay .

We were woken this morning at 6:30 to lots of noise from the business next to our window. They were receiving a delivery of pallets of large equipment.

The hallways were dirty and elevator smelled. The breakfast area clean and food was warm and tasty. Complain about the kids running up and down hallways were not addressed because it went on the next day and outside fireworks(illegal) complain to front desk to call police and I was told to call myself. Also, cookies n popcorn in lobby weren't there for weekend guest this time and told never were but we were guest in January (wknd) for a party and there was popcorn day n nite. New owners, Not gaining points, not this time around. Too bad., We'll call before we reserve again.

Our go to for a nice, quiet, hotel in Castro Valley while working or quick stays. Nothing over the top fancy, but friendly staff, clean, safe, and the continental breakfast is always a plus. A little outdated, slow wifi, but nothing to complain about. Will return!

Friendly from desk staff, room clean and i thought very comfortable bed, but my husband wasnt a fan. Breakfast selection was very good, hot and cold.

I was pleasantly surprised at the cleanliness of the room. Usually there is moldy stuff in the bathroom in hotels, but my room had none. The cleaning staff routinely replace the shower curtains so no mold on that either. The bed was not very comfortable. The rooms are spacious with a King sized bed and a couch. The WiFi worked great. I had several zoom meetings and it worked perfectly. I did a lot of computer work during my stay. I like that they offer coffee and tea anytime. I also saw popcorn and cookies. The breakfast was okay. They give you the essentials. For the class of hotel, it exceeded my expectations and I would stay again. My only disappointment was the elevator didn’t work on the last day. Also several people staying there openly coughed directly on the breakfast food. That is not the hotel’s fault. Some people are gross.

It was a convenient place to stay. Unfortunately we had a loud neighbor who kept yelling. Since he was the only voice we could hear, I think he was on his phone. Kept us up. That’s not the hotels fault though.
