The shower leaked and because it was a roll in shower it came into the bathroom floor. We had to put towels down to prevent slipping. Definitely a liability. Then we did find dried blood on the wall near the bathroom door. Unfortunately we didn't find that until the day we left or I would have asked for another room. Then the second day when my husband went to get ice, he couldn't get back in the room because the key cards did not work. It was not a very pleasant stay. Price was good, but I guess that's what we get for the price.

Here’s a polished review you could post: We have stayed at many Country Inn & Suites locations over the last five years while traveling up and down the East Coast. This was our first stay at the Chambersburg property, and unfortunately it was the most disappointing experience we’ve had with the brand. The hotel appears quite dated and is in need of updating throughout. The furnishings were antiquated and heavily scuffed, giving the room a worn appearance. Even some of the room fixtures seemed poorly designed—for example, the bathroom sink was positioned all the way to one side of the counter while the mirror was centered, making it awkward to use. The front desk clerk was pleasant during check-in, but when we discovered that our room had only one washcloth and one hand towel, we called and requested additional towels. We were told they would be brought when there was time, but they never arrived. While the location may be convenient for travelers, the overall condition of the property and the lack of follow-through on a basic guest request left us disappointed. We have enjoyed many Country Inn & Suites properties over the years, but this is one hotel we will not be adding to our list of places to revisit. I’d rate that experience around 2 out of 5 stars based on the issues you described. See above

pretty clean.... found one pillow which seemed to have a blood stain on it which mortified the front desk person. Also, came back after attending a funeral to find something I had left in the room had been accidentally taken home by the staff. Again the front desk tracked it down and if I had wanted to wait a half hour I could have had it back, I didn't want to so they agreed to send it to me without charge. Breakfast was very strange not having what I would consider "normal" items. Poor attempt at EggMcMuffin, some spicy egg muffin... Well appointed with glass plates and such but uncoordinated to some degree. Bags of HBEggs, off brand cereal, oatmeal and waffle.... just a non traditional motel offering. Room, pool, etc were nice....staff were very friendly. no accommodation for electric charging overnight....

This is our return visit, have stayed here several times before. Nothing wrong with our stays

Room was nice and clean. Overall hotel was very nice and the staff was very friendly and helpful. A lot of places to grab a meal within walking distance.

The woman who checked us in was helpful and polite. The room smelled like smoke. We opened the windows and doors but couldn’t clear the smoke smell. The front desk was able to give us a different room. She was sympathetic and understanding.

Parking was safe

Waffles were good. No decaf coffee except instant and that was unacceptable. Regular coffee was horrible. Breakfast choices were very limited and the Oatmeal had to much water added. We heard complaints from Other diners as well and one did door dash.

Place was clean and reasonably priced. elevator and hot tub were both not working. breakfast didn't have eggs or meat but had all the other usual items. location was good could walk to multiple restaurants.

When we arrive we were met with a sign that the elevator was out and we were on the third floor. The hallway A\C was set at 80 and was every bit of it. We got my daughter settled into her.room and went to ours. When I opened the door I thought they hadn’t cleaned the room, but then noticed the opened suitcase and clothing laying on the unmade bed. We hurriedly got out of there and went back to the main desk. They said they didn’t know what happened, and gave us a different room, but we never felt secure not knowing if someone else was going to be assigned the same room. We received a text saying the rooms would only be service every three days, but only had towels for one day. The breakfast was miserable and the waffle batter only dispensed batter for one waffle. We spent a miserable 3 days there.

Smelled damp and musty while we were there, needs a renovation. Hot tub was advertised but was broken down during our stay, keep looking this isn't the place.

Rooms are fine. Nothing special but good for a short stay. Haven’t ever been there late enough to partake in breakfast but they had the waffle makers set up and lobby and breakfast area are clean. It’s an older hotel, but fine for the price.

This particular room could use a really good carpet cleaning. I can smell an animal clearly spent time in this room. Unpleasant smell when you enter the room 124. Also the WiFi is completely unreliable when it comes to using the Zoom platform for meetings.

The carpet could definitely use a good cleaning or replace with laminate.

Hallways smelled of marijuana. Dog barking a few does down. Stumping upstairs. When water runs on upstairs unit the water return is very loud. Had to ask front desk to put salt on handicapped walk way. Was slippery.

The room was very clean, comfortable bed, however it was really cold in the room, I turned the thermostat to 70 and though the heat did run it didn’t warm up, I turned the thermostat to 72, still didn’t warm up. Too cold for me! I’ve stayed at many Country Inn and Suites and breakfast was alway good, this hotel lacked food, oatmeal was watery and they were out of decaf coffee. I had to go somewhere else to get coffee and decent food.

No tea or coffee available as is customary in Radissons When I asked the girl at the desk she said the owners don’t like doing that (offering tea/coffee) when I asked for a tea bag she said the owners forbade her to give them out / only at breakfast wow- went out to my car then my key wouldn’t work for my room Breakfast was no better / most of the guests looked unsavory

We booked this hotel for our friend qho came to visit us for Christmas! He had a good stay and everything was very nice!

Staff were not friendly or seemed to care about customer experience. The beds were uncomfortable. My room was across from housekeeping and the main office area and the staff had ZERO consideration for staying quiet during all hours.

Beautiful room, no hair dryer in the bathroom and the bed was absolutely uncomfortable, plus there was a noise all night long that kept me awake, I had no clue where it was coming from- definitely not staying there again

The staff were very nice and helpful. The room was nice! Bed was very big and comfy, and there was a lot of space, but the bathroom was unfortunately not clean, which was a little gross. Little specks of dirt and hairs in the tub and on the sink, and the fan/vent looked like it had not been cleaned in a while. Still, it was a great price for what was a decent experience.

Not the best. The breakfast was limited. They had waffles but no scrambled eggs or meat selections. The juice dispenser had 4 selections but all were empty but for apple juice. The lock on our door failed resulting in us being locked out of our room for 45 minutes waiting for the service man (he was at another property) to arrive and repair the lock.

This hotel was in a great location. It is right off of 81 easy to get to and there are a ton of options for food and shopping right in the area.

BED BUGS!!

The "guy" on the front desk in the morning was not attentive to guests and never attempted to keep the breakfast area supplied with items. Guests had to ask for items to be replaced. Also he never paid attention to the coffee area. When we went to check out around 7:40 there was no attendant on the front desk. Rather there was just a drop box where a sign red drop room keys in this tray. Not good enough.

Hotel is so outdated

The hotel was very clean. The room was spacious and comfortable. The staff was amazing! We got in late, they went above and beyond to help us find dining and get comfortable for the night. We stayed several nights and from start to finish they were incredibly kind and helpful. Highly recommend!

In need of a remodel. Our shower mat was taped together. No USB ports. Just old is the best way to describe it. The pool was nice but the hot tub was closed. Staff were not helpful. Only 2 towels per room even our 2 queen room and they would not provide any more. They also did not have any extra blankets or razors when asked. Just overall would not stay here again. Best Western around the corner is much nicer with their remodel and the same price.

1. the refrigerator was not working in my accessible room… had to swap to a regular room; 2. there was not a working ice maker on any floors The staff accommodated me by cheerfully swapping rooms, and then was able to store my blue ice packs in the breakfast room kitchen freezer

Breakfast was your standard waffle makers (2), cereals, bagels, and muffins. The room was clean, the staff friendly, and the shampoo, conditioner were in squeezable containers mounted in the shower. Only problem was I thought my sink's drain was broken and stuck closed.Nope. Desk clerk told me I just had to push down on it and it pops up. Nicest room for the money I've had in years.

Beds were uncomfortable, didnt have enough towels, had to get more from desk. Hot tub broken, pool very cold. Breakfast was very limited only do house keeping after check out.

Check in was ridiculously slow. When we got to our room, our key cards didn't work so we had to go through the check in line again. The room is dated, which is fine, but there are holes in the bathroom door, the fixtures are not installed correctly, and the flip lock on the room door is very loose.

The staff is amazing. I stay there every time i pass through on my way north to south and back.

This morning the manager or head of housekeeping was apparently trying to show a new hire how to do things. It was obvious the new hire had no idea what she was doing and the manager was verbally berating her about things she apparently didn’t know, like where the maids carts were and why she didn’t have master keys. The breakfast was minimal and there was not even any artificial sweetener for coffee. I’ve stayed in many Country Inn & Suites, this is by far the worst.

Overall, the stay was average. The bed was comfortable, and we appreciated the heat being controlled with a wall mounted thermostat. We would like to have had more than one bar of soap and racks for hanging the towels and washcloths, otherwise the room was well furnished. The breakfast was very good, and the exercise room is well equipped. Overall, would give this hotel a positive recommendation.

In our room there was a stale smell, like mildew. Perhaps the shower curtain had not been laundered recently. Also, the toilet had a continuous slow drip that was annoying.

It was basic and bare minimum, but it was clean and met our needs.

My family and I had to leave early because I am heavier set and they put us on the 3rd floor and moving around around 11pm is not permitted apparently as guests below us were complaining and blaming my children when it was my movement that was disrupting the other guests. So we had to leave and they fought me on refunding my money on the basis that I had to leave early. They still didn't give us our money back so I will be filing a claim for trip interruption.

The staff was the best part of the stay. The fitted sheet on the bed was so thin, you could see hair on the mattress beneath it. I slept on that top sheet. The mattress haddivots where people had laid.The walls were not clean in the bathroom. The most annoying part was they put me in a room over a piece of equipment that vibrated the bed and it was loud.

Disappointed that the whirlpool was down for maintenance but everything else was good. Also wish there had been hot option (eggs, sausage, bacon) for breakfast

One of the worst stays I have had. Staff was terrible. I have video of some of the things I saw, and will be posting it online and telling my friends so they don't consider staying there. I have several trips in the near future that will be being me to that area. I won't stay there. My recommendation, DON'T STAY THERE!

Our flight was delayed so our reservation became a no show. Alicia was able to help us out and get us a room without any trouble. She was friendly and quick. I would stay here again.

Stay was nothing short of perfect. But my personal opinion, it snowed/sleet/rained during this past weekend, besides the front door being cleared. The sidewalks/parking spaces/lot had no signs to attempt to shovel, plow, or salt the walking/driving areas. Very slick and dangerous in cold weather conditions. Other than that, my partners and I stay was perfect!!!

The advertising is FALSE. The hot tub is not currently working and the attendant told us that it hasn't worked for 6 months! The mamagement doesn't want to spend the money for a part! We went there especially for this advertised amenity! Very displeased!

It wasn't bad. Honestly, it wasn't bad for what we paid. Breakfast was waffles, and by the time we got down around 7:45 the oatmeal was dry and hard. Would've liked some bacon or sausage. I was bummed the hot tub was brokwn.

They claim its been updated but it clearly is lipstick on a pig. Most hotels have gotten away from carpet, theirs is old, dated and nasty. The bed was clearly old and sagging. I would rate it as "average" for that price point. I travel I81 often, i will probably find someplace else next time.

Trip to Florida, pit stop along the way

The friendliness of the staff was remarkable. And festive.

They gave us a pet friendly room that smelled like 5 dogs slept their last night. The dog next door was very loud barking and the pillows on the bed were not comfortable at all. The wall and door leading to the side entrance had coffee splashed all over it. The a/c was hot like to surface of the sun no matter what temperature I set it to, other than the north pole setting which my wife didnt care for. Over all, not a great room but I guest thats what i get for bringing my dog.

Since I knew that my pets would not cause any damage. I really didn't mind the pet deposit. However, on the morning of checkout I was informed that not only was it not a deposit but a fee but that it was daily. I was then informed that I would be charged an additional $40 that would be non-refundable by the front desk clerk. When I explained to him that I'd called and asked about this and that I was not paying the second $40 he called the police on me told me I was not welcome in that hotel. I explained to him that I called the number at the hotel and spoke to someone at the front desk. He called me a liar and told me that that wasn't the number to the hotel. I then called him on the phone and said hi. I'm talking to you now with the number I called on and he still refused to admit that that was the number to the hotel. Upon arrival checking into the room I found no blankets or pillows for the extra bed. The breakfast is hardly Continental it's cold boiled eggs, waffles and non-name brand cereal, a communal picture of milk and yogurt cups. It's hardly anything like the rest of the choice hotels that I've stayed in

We enjoyed our stay while travelling to Florida. The hotel is close and convenient to the I81 and has plenty of restaurants and shopping close by. The hotel rooms are well appointed with a mini fridge and microwave. The rooms are nice and clean. The breakfast is okay. It is more on the lighter side with cereal, toast, bagels, muffins, and waffles as the main staples.

We enjoyed our stay travelling home from Florida. The hotel is close and convenient to the I81 and has plenty of restaurants and shopping very close by. The hotel rooms are well appointed with a mini fridge and microwave. The rooms are nice and clean.

The valet parking was $65.00 a night and there is a lot across the street for 40.00 and spot-hero garages nearby for 22.00. The lobby is one floor up from the entry so two elevators are required to get to the rooms. For that reason, we would probably not stay here again. Train is across the street. Ubers are plentiful but pricey.

My go to place when I’m in town

I wish there were gluten free breakfast options because I have Celiac disease and cannot eat any gluten of any type.

Needed to cut a Thanksgiving travel day in half & the price was out of this world cheap. It was a convenient on & off from the interstate. Room was fine, carpet was very old, but the room was spacious & the bathroom was as well. Beds were the hardness I like - fridge worked fine. Disappointed the hot tub was out of order bc we wanted to use it after our long drive. Breakfast was very lacking. No meat/eggs protein. Bagels, bread & mini mini muffins & 2 waffle stations. Nothing at all to write home about for breakfast. It was a clean, safe, convenient place to stay.

stayed at this hotel for the jacuzzi room and the heated pool. at check in there was a sign that said-the hot tub is out of service but pool is open. 2 hours later tried to get in pool. so cold that i couldn't get in. staff didn't care, just pointed to the sign.
