    The staff was amazing, and very helpful. Tina and Ced were the kindest folks we've met in a long time. Stop by the Bistro and visit them even if you're not staying at the hotel.

    The bed was the best on this trip - solidly slept through everything, and didn't want to leave. Parking OK, as we needed to use a row at a different level outside. Not a direct path via stairs back, but still short and adjacent. Definitely recommend breakfast down the street at Maple & Yolk.

    My room was great. The only issue I had was with the workout room. It was a bit small and dank. One of the lights was out. I also had an issue with the elliptical machine. Someone had left gum on the book rack, which ended up getting stuck to my ipad. After my workout, I brought it to the attention of the front desk clerk. The next night, when I used the gym again, I noticed the gum was still there.

    The Hotel is so old and stingy.. The room smell.like mold.. We booked a King with a Sofa bed and allotted just a King bed and a chair. After a looong conversation they brought a rollaway for one. The booking said Breakfast included, but there was no Breakfast and when showed the reservation they gave a $10 voucher for 2(though we booked for 2 adults and 2 kids). We ended up paying for a breakfast from the Bistro. Avoid this place at any cost.

    Reasons I would not book again: Called ahead to request a crib be in our room. Had to ask the front desk 3 different times on the day of our arrival for the crib and kept getting told it was in our room (it was not). We also did not get the room we booked. Booked a king suite and was put in a standard double. Had called ahead to ask if there was a freezer portion to the mini fridge and was told yes. There was not. Mini fridge was also missing shelves and other pieces making its usage limited. Part of our room smelled like sewage and that wasn’t even by the bathroom. Floor was sticky in places. Bar was closed due to licensing issue. The bistro had very limited hours. The positives: Pool was warm and quiet. Starbucks on site was great! Staff was very friendly. Do not disturb sign was respected. Overall just not worth returning to me.

    The front desk staff Zoe and her manager, a gentleman whose name I don't know are very nice. I spent almost two hours to check in due to booking's issue. Zoe and her manager accompanied me to call booking, particularly her manager lent me his iPhone to call and talked to Booking customer service on the solution. We stayed two nights. But they didn't clean the room in the Day 2.

    Had a very disappointing stay at Courtyard Champaign - pretty un”Marriott” experience overall for a variety of reasons. Starting with breakast, we had breakfast for two adults included in our hotel price. The lady at the breakfast counter made us purchase our coffee even though it was included in the price. Also the menu advertised steel-cut oats, although it was obvious that they gave quick cook oatmeal prepared in microwave. The next disappointment was the room service. While checking in we were told that the room service was every other day (which is becoming more common). However after skipping a day when the service showed up, the cleaning lady said that it was only going to be an “limited” service where she left a stack of clean towels and took the old ones. She said a “full service” was going to happen only in 5th day (and we were there for only 3 days). Also no had told about the distinction between limited service and full service at the time of booking or checking in. Finally the overall property seemed old. By unfortunate draw of luck we got a room on the first floor. There were parking spots right outside the room without any patio inbetween and we could regular hear/see lights of cars parking in and out. The ceiling were thin and the whole night we could hear footsteps from people moving in the room above.

    This is a pretty average stay hotel. The rooms are nice and clean. The staff is very friendly,but there’s some things that could be improved. Had issues with the shower door and the bed is very loud just crawling in and out. Overall I’d stay here again.

    The furniture shows age distress, the sheets had not been changed but the bed was made up. When I pulled the top blanket down the the bed sheets were full of black hairs. It was just disgusting. Fortunately, the person on duty at the front desk was very apologetic and took care of getting clean sheets and pillow cases. I will not be returning to this property. The Marriott family has lost the value of quality. I have a relative who was quite high in this corp org and would have been horrified if he had seen the condition of the room I was in. In addition, the phone did not work.

    Very disappointed and unrestful! We were not warned that the morning of our stay had major renovation scheduled to remove and replace the roof! We were rattled awake at 7:30 AM (on a Sat. following a late Fri. night football game final) by what sounded like 100 people clog dancing on the roof! Then their heavy machinery noises and shouting orders to each other. We should have been warned of the disruption. I would have choose another hotel.

    However, we had a lot of issues during check in. We booked through a third party and this caused a lot of confusion for the individuals checking us in. After about 15 minutes we got checked in and were offered a free water as compensation (whatever, thanks?). The real issue was after check out. I was charged an additional 120$ two weeks after our stay. I called the hotel to figure out why and they said it was a mistake made during the check in. Luckily I caught the charge when reviewing my charges but otherwise they would’ve taken an extra 120$! I understand mistakes happen but you should’ve be well versed in third party booking and a 120$ mistake is quite a big blow in this economy. Additionally the pool was closed, the breakfast wasn’t free, and there was barely any parking as many of the spaces were sectioned off. We ended up parking across the way If you book third party to Champagne Courtyard be VERY cautious and triple check all your expenses so you don’t get doubled charged.

    The room was not clean; The lamp over the bed was nasty, there was an Oder that would not go away even after I spayed the deck had over a dozen cigarette buttes and debris, windows and walls were nasty. The shower had what appeared to be some kind of black mold at the base. I did not rest well at all extremely disappointed. I hate I didn’t take pictures extremely disgusted!

    I was happy with my stay. However, the room wasn't very soundproof, could hear people above me walking around and some noise from the parking lot. Strong disinfectant/cleaning product odor in the hall at check in was covering obvious pot smell (legal in Illinois). I'm pot friendly so it didn't bother me, others might be. The furnishings were nice. Lighting a bit muted for me. The Bistro was convenient yet overpriced. I loved the shower. The rain head and the body wash made for a relaxing and refreshing experience.

    The elevator was out of order which wasn't a problem for us but, if my mother had been along, which she often is, it would have been a real pain. The fire alarm went off in the morning so, instead of ordering breakfast, we just left. Other than those two issues, we slept well and had friendly conversations with the staff. They are doing what they can to avoid spreading Covid.

    Staff was nice and overall the facility is nice. However, the elevators were not working so we had to use stairs to carry all luggage up to our room. No continental/free breakfast offered either. There was a basketball team eating a buffet style breakfast in the lounge when we went down to check and see if they offered breakfast. We were told it was a team only breakfast that had been prepared for them. So wouldn't recommend for any families.

    Upon arrival, I was greeted by Bradford. He is an exceptional associate. Kind, personable, and engaged in conversation. What I liked best was how quiet the room was. Most hotels I hear everything in the hallway. But I slept great. The bed was very comfortable. The shower was spacious and had a great shower head with actual pressure. I will gladly recommend this hotel!

    Our experience at this hotel was not good. The front desk welcome was very nice, but when we got to our room, it was downhill. The sink did not drain, the shower door leaked because the door was too short and the TV did not work. We reluctantly stayed a second night and were surprised to find our room was not serviced. The front desk person said we should have been told this, but did bring us fresh towels. The staff at the desk and the coffee area were very nice. Also, the Illinois mask mandate was not enforced.

    This is an average hotel. The description of the hotel stated there was a whirlpool, as did the properties sign for the pool area, but there is NOT one at this property. The bar area was closed due to COVID, which was expected. The room was pretty nice, with clean linens and comfortable bed. However, the shower was not very clean and seemed dated. Shower door leaked all over the floor when shower was in use. Overall, an average stay.

    The staff was friendly but the hotel was dirty. Very disappointed. The bed had hair in it so who ever made it didn’t change the sheets. The shower still had hair in it and the coffee maker wasn’t cleaned still had coffee pod from prior visitor. Floors were filthy throughout the hotel.
