Super 8 by Wyndham Champaign

The room was clean, the bed was comfortable. Even tho there was space under the door it's probably the quietest motel I've ever stayed. I did not hear noise thru the night or early morning. I prefer breakfast of eggs, meat, even waffles, but that's not what was offered. We did fine with the cereal, bagel, muffin, yogurt and juice. There were choices. We enjoyed our two night stay there. Thank you.

Stay there for 3 weeks was good ,gave me weekly rates obviously they also do daily rates. CLEAN , COMFORT, NEW is their first priority.

Me and my wife were there for stay because there was an event in nearby by town we saw lots of fancy cars in parking lot . Anyways the rooms was amazing nice clean and very very updated breakfast in the morning which is very good .

The beds are the hardest I have ever tried to sleep on. The noise upstairs and in the hallway was awful. There doesn’t seem to be any sound proofing. No coffee in the rooms or at breakfast. The fruit looked old and there was only a couple of choices to eat. Bagels, extra small muffins, whole milk, orange juice which my daughter is allergic to, and dry cereal. I canceled my stay for a week later and booked a different hotel for my return trip. I will not stay there again.

The only good thing I can say about the place was that it was clean and there didn't seem to be any illicit activity in the hotel. But when I checked out, the staff person didn't even ask how my stay was. The whole place smells like apathy.

It started seemingly well, smelled clean, brightly lit. The clerk was a little "too helpful". Asked about the TV in our room and proceeded to try and just walk in the room. Then what appeared to be a clean room was hardly that. Dropped a shirt in the bathroom and picked it up to find what looked like blood all over it now. Pulled the sheets back to find A LOT OF PUBIC HAIR. Had it not been 2 am when we arrived, I would've demanded a refund and spent my money elsewhere.

Overall, I really liked the service and the customer care; the hotel was very clean and beautiful. I recommend it 100%.

They did NOT explain about the deposit policy, which i didn't know about until check in. They tried to charge me for the room twice, turns out that they have had a problem with people using a unknown credit or debit card, then before check out, taking the card off their account so they would get a free room, sometimes they would stay for a week and the hotel wouldn't get paid. So beware, you will only be charged once !!

We stayed there over the past weekend for my son's graduation ,and the hotel with all amenities and cleanliness was great. The staff was very supportive.

Its a great and feasible place for 1 night or less time.

It was clean for the most part When I booked room for two beds I only got one bed.I requested first floor they got that part right.i went to store got a sandwich that needed microwave put it microwave but door wouldn’t release so could get my sandwich out so I called staff she said she was coming but came thirty minutes later after I got out of bed and walked down there and ring the bell she came about five minutes later from somewhere and followed me back to the room told her what happened with microwave the she unplugged it and was able to get my sandwich out but never offered to replace microwave or anything was without microwave all weekend wasn’t happy at all about that and me not having two beds

I had to go for my doctors appointment to Carl hospital with my grandmaa which is 10 mins from this Hotel and i choose to stay here . Very kind people they helped me with the area and very very clean rooms newly remodeled and gave me on first floor the office area was looking very luxurious. Again very very clean rooms. I’ll be back please keep that room for me that same clean room for me .obviously you’res all rooms are neat and clean but but I want my personal suite which 116 .

Always and only go to this hotel the reason is . New (REMODELED)rooms and very very clean rooms and feels like home . The staff is amazing and friendly , this is like my second home I don’t have to wait for my check in they just hand me keys and gave best a comparatively price arround. Room was clean, staff was nice and welcoming. Breakfast was underwhelming. But the bagels were fresh. Hopefully you like bagels or cold cereal. Otherwise, kinda out of luck.

First off, the room was super clean, just like I expected from the reviews. And it smells really nice as soon as you walk into the lobby. The room was in great shape, looked like they just finished renovating, which the front desk told me. It's a great deal for the price compared to other budget hotels.

The location is another big plus-there are malls within a short drive, as well as a variety of restaurants and grocery stores nearby. The hotel also offered a great breakfast with plenty of options. Overall, it was a fantastic experience, and I’d definitely recommend it. :)

I was super happy the AC was powerful but didn't blast right onto the bed. It was quiet and kept the room perfectly comfy all night. Plus, there was plenty of parking, and I felt totally safe leaving my car there. Room was clean, perfect stay.

This place is in excellent condition. Super clean and newly remodeled. The staff seemed pretty helpful, even though they were busy this weekend. I love the atmosphere around and inside the hotel, and for the price I paid, it's the best budget-friendly hotel in Champaign.

This property is a big fat dump. Bed spreads full of stains. Hallway on second floor very unleveled and full of different variants of levels. Covered up with smelly carpet. Bedroom had a child like toilet that basically sit about a foot from the floor. Windows nasty. Door looks missing security screws. Pillows super flat and cheapest I've ever seen in my life. To me this is a very creepy place. I was there with my family and left the same day. We refused to sleep there. This property is much scarier than any haunted house I've taken my children to over the years. I would never, ever stay here again or any other super 8.

They have the options of Smoking & Non-smoking both. I choose to be in a non-smoking room & the rooms was fantastic & very clean. for this price it beyond expectations. the breakfast was limited & decent for quick go through. i will definitely come back, the best budget motel in champaign.

This place is in great shape since they just renovated, it's one of the cleanest Super 8s I've ever been to. The staff always has a smile on their face and they're ready to help you anytime. I'd say this is the best budget motel in Champaign, definitely recommended.

The location is also very convenient. There are easy stores and shops near the property, so it was simple to get food, snacks, or anything I needed without going far. That made everything much more comfortable and stress-free. The breakfast was fresh and well organized with a good variety of options. It was a nice way to start the morning. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and always ready to help. Overall, everything was excellent -clean renovated rooms, good breakfast, great location, and helpful staff. I would definitely recommend this place and would happily stay here again.

There were someone else's dirty socks behind the bathroom door. The toilet wasn't bolted to the floor, so it rocked when used.

Had a great stay this busy weekend in town. The room was super clean and the hotel was fully renovated. Breakfast was okay, but the staff was really knowledgeable and helpful. Can't beat the price. Definitely recommend, great job Super 8.

We were on the 2nd floor when u walk down the hallway a lot of the rooms had trash sitting outside the doors the freezer had mold growing in it and the room was very cold

Location Front desk staff were not accommodating . They said early checkin not available and it was only 30 degrees outside and snowing . Had to be back at work for five and earliest check in would be 3pm although parking lot was empty. I booked as a pay when u arrive and check in . I never checked in and was assured my card wouldn’t be charged . I was charged

Its 2025 and people are walking around indoors smoking cigarettes. Please smells like an ashtray. Couldn't sleep because my allergies were acting up from all the smoke

Check-in online was great. But arrived and had to go through it all over again with a language barrier was stressful

While the bed itself was reasonably comfortable, the main issue was the air conditioning unit. When it was running, it blew air that smelled strongly of mold and mildew, which made the room feel unhealthy and uncomfortable. Because I checked in very late, I wasn’t in a position to request a room change, but the odor made it impossible to get any real rest. On top of that, the neighbors — who seemed to have at least two if not three rooms — were partying late into the night. Multiple pizza deliveries showed up, with drivers struggling to locate the right rooms, adding to the noise and disruption. Between the poor air quality and the lack of quiet, I finally gave up and left at 5 a.m. after a very restless night. It’s disappointing, because I was hoping this hotel could serve as a regular stop during my weekly travel. Based on this experience, however, I’ll need to look for other options in Champaign.

I checked in and was assigned a room. Upon opening the door to my room I immediately was hit with a very strong urine smell. I honestly couldn’t tell if it was human or animal. I pulled back the sheets on one of the mattresses to find it heavily stained and covered in hair. I went to the ac unit to get some air moving in the room. The more I walked on the carpet I realized my shoes were sticking to it and I was being bitten by fleas. The carpet was very soiled. The tub was rusted out and the faucet was leaking. I immediately departed the room and went back to the front desk. I told the young lady what was wrong with the room and asked for another room. She acted like I insulted her and said the only other room was being cleaned. I told her I was going to run errands and to notify me when the room was ready. The hotel was not responding to my messages later and they never reached out to notify me of the other room so I booked and stayed elsewhere. They still have yet to respond to me and they better refund my deposit and not charge me for a stay. Stay away from this “hotel” it is filthy and poorly ran. I will be reporting them to the city and the BBB.

We are traveling with a service animal and they went against ada regulations and charged us a pet fee plus a 100$ deposit. No elevators, place smelled of drugs, mini fridge didn't work and we set the ac to 61 and it didn't cool down the room at all. Over all I'm highly disappointed and will never stay there again. For anyone that doesn't know you can't be charged for having a service animal with you and the ada doesn't require documentation however she was in vest and i stated that she is a medical alert service dog

The rooms are filthy. Gum stuck on the table Blood or feces on toilet The room looked like. Living room w/a dirty couch & recliner chair which made sense after we realized what was going on at the place. There was a drug deal going on right outside the back door by the room we were given. Customers should be warned that they are staying in a shelter.

We were there for 5 days for work. Got clean towels twice. Bed made once and it never got cleaned. No microwave. Went and bought a cheap one at Walmart so I could have coffee and a hot meal. Terrible place

This hotel has not been remodeled or repaired in ages. The shower head was terrible and the whole room was disgusting. We heard everything going on above us.

Problem with our entry key

Plenty comfortable and quiet, which is the main thing. But don't plan on breakfast being much. Cereal was stale. Yogurts were "all gone" at 7:30. Apples were old and stale. Just not a lot there. And what was there was in pretty sad shape.

The breakfast was bad. Even thogh there was no sign of any sort, the staff said we cant take breakfast in the room. I stayed in so many hotels and this was first where they make their rules as they go.

We were happy with our stay. It provided us an affordable stay while visiting family in town. Close to restaurants and Marketplace Mall.

Nothing is updated, bathroom doors will lock you inside, they have roaches dead and alive everywhere, also have bed bugs bad. i’ve stayed a few times for convenience &price but this last time was the LAST

The breakfast was pathetic. Coffee tasted like the cardboard box it came in, only cereal and toast and no sugar.

I don’t know why I expected more, but I couldn’t have expected any less. The “lobby” area smelled like marijuana and it never dissipated during the time I was there. The bathtub had some disturbing brown stains all over it as well as the toilet handle literally cracked in half. The pillows were like sleeping on flat rocks but the mattress itself was “ok”. It sounded as if there was a heard of elephants on the 2nd floor above me as all night long I could hear what sounded like running above me. So after very little sleep I woke up to get “free breakfast” and was hugely unsatisfied by their “free breakfast ITEM”. I will not be returning to this joke of a hotel.

The bathtub had mold all around the edge by the wall. No safety hand bars in tub. Towels were dingy. Food in breakfast area was very limited to toast, bagel or cereal. Wpuld not recommend this place to anyone.

The place was dirty and also smelled like smoke....even in our nonsmoking room. One of the wash clothes hanging in the bathroom was dirty. Even the grass outside was very long and needed to be mowed.

We came in just for a quick trip to Champaign and this was a very reasonable hotel in terms of price and cleanliness.

Nearly all the rooms in town were sold out and I landed on one of the only remaining rooms here at the super eight. While the property is nothing exciting and it’s pretty dated, the staff was very friendly and the room was clean and the beds were super comfortable. There was a microwave and mini fridge in the room and the air conditioner worked. Can’t complain about that. It’s all we needed in our stay.

The toilet didn't flush when I arrived. I told the front desk/manager who thought he fixed it. He did not. We had to adjust the black tubing in the tank about every other time we used it. The door to the room sticks and is extremely loud when it opens - not sure how to fix that. On the plus side, we liked the easy parking, comfortable beds and having a refrigerator and microwave in the room.
