Everything was very clean. The staff was very nice and the location was great. For the price it is definitely more up-to-date than a lot of the hotels I have stayed at. There was really nothing I disliked.

The Bathroom and towels had hair all over them place smelled bad the Jacuzzi was dirty never again

The staff was friendly at check in/out and the modern room was clean and decorated beautifully. I would recommend this hotel! The shower was luxurious and they had good quality towels. The only part that could use improvement was the breakfast. The potatoes were cold and I couldn’t see any hot water to make the oatmeal. They only offered one type of fruit and no bananas. The kitchen microwave didn’t function like a typical one and took some time to figure out the button functions while I was really hungry. Overall, we weren’t interested in eating the breakfast the next day due to these factors.

The hotel and room feel brand new—very clean with bright lighting throughout. There are plenty of upgrades and great amenities, and the staff are friendly and welcoming. We’d love to stay here again next time.

My only concern was the door handle on the room door there was no security latch. My nearly 2 year old grandson was able to open the door easily and leave the room while our backs were turned.

I just hate the customer service there I hate the people there they're rude they borrowed me for no reason they didn't even tell me why I was on the do not rent to this they never even informed me of what the situation went was and when was the situation they just tell me I couldn't stay there and kicked me out and then I couldn't even get another room so I had to sleep outside because I have to wait days before I can even get my money back on my card it just was a horrible experience

A perfect hotel for a visit to see my son and explore the area. It is clean with quick access to the university and the highway. The staff were friendly and the included breakfast buffet was typical.

We stayed at Sleep Inn While on the way to Chicago… we got a late start from St. Louis… And Champaign was a little over halfway… Honestly, the bed we slept in at Sleep Inn was nicer and more comfortable, supportive… and probably newer than the bed we slept in at the Hilton/Doubletree Magnificent Mile in Chicago… clean comfortable room… plus, the bathroom was spotless… A very well-maintained hotel… And a better price than most in the area… Thanks!

We were told to wait for the shift change upon arrival rather than getting checked in right away, after about 5-10 minutes, we were checked in. Tv barely worked, bed felt like it had bed bugs, room smelled like smoke despite the smoke free property, and when we tried to have breakfast it was all gone at 9am still open but food all gone. I guess you get what you pay for, it was a place to sleep and that’s what we needed.

At Sleep Inn, the check-in was very easy, and I was pleased to receive a room not far from the entrance. The room was clean & neat, with a comfortable bed and all the amenities I needed for an overnight stay. Checkout was also easy, and the cleaning crew was courteous and gave me plenty of time to clear out.

Warning! This hotel charged my credit card separate from Expedia. Did not get notified of any such charge. Only to find it on my credit card statement. When calling the hotel to inquire about the charge they had a note in their system that there was damage to a comforter. Conveniently they no longer have photo documentation of said comforter. I’ve put in a dispute with my credit card for this charge. I will never stay at this hotel again.

The room was clean, linens white and clean. I dropped something and it rolled under an area that could have been neglected, but it was clean! The ONLY thing that bothered us was that there was a WEIRD smell inside the room when we opened the door. It was also present in the other room next door, where our friends stayed. I used some body spray to mask it, and eventually I got used to it.

We are heading across country and needed a room for the night. This was a clean, safe hotel with comfortable accommodations. The bathroom is TINY and there were only three pillows and two bath towels, but the price I can certainly go to the desk to get more. It was the lowest price mid- quality for miles.

Didnt like that the bathroom didnt close all the way to the frame and also the smell of ay sour mop in the morning as housekeeping cleans the room nearby.

Having to move

Bathroom door wouldn’t latch. The flooring appeared new and the walls freshly painted. Clearly they were making upgrades. The room was just very small and the beds were tight for two people. When the room says it sleeps 4 that wasn’t quite accurate.

It was nice and convenient

The room seemed ok but the sheets were still on the wet side and there was a nasty feces stain on the mattress pad upon further looking. The reviews were correct as the bed would make a sound like a drum when you moved. The area appeared to be a little sketchy as when we left there may have been a recent purse theft.

Room was nice and clean, updated furniture only thing that would make is better is a bigger tv.

I loved the staff especially the gal working the desk in the morning so full of smiles and laughs. I always love my stays at Sleep Inn. This one was even better. I was there for 4 days and i slept well and received much encouragement from the morrning crew for a busy 13+ hour days of work ahead in the hot 95+ degree weather. Great stay.

Very clean and really good location. We did not get a chance to try the breakfast but the area was very clean. My only suggestion for improvement is to Get larger or more pillows to improve the guest experience. When I went to the front desk around 11pm for an extra pillow they had already given out all of the extras for the night. Otherwise had a nice, one night stay.

This place is wonderful. I have stayed with them two times. The staff is helpful, friendly and responsive. The hotel is clean, comfortable, meets all needs and quiet. I highly recommend it if you are visiting this area, especially any parents University of Illinois visiting their children. Easy parking, good location, easy check in and decent breakfast.

We came through the area on our way to pick up a new puppy with our dog along. The gal at thw front desk was very nice. On our return trip we decided to stay again. When I called the gal remembered us and was very helpful in getting us into a room near an exit yet again.

We appreciated having a cart to bring our luggage up to our room.

Lipstick on a pig -- bed was comfortable and carpet is new. Everythign else is an OLD HOTEL that has KIND OF been redone. If you open your eyes, you're gonna find lots of small issues. If you need an ok place to sleep the night at a lower price, then this is fine. Room doors are old and allow a lot of hallway light into the room.

Everything was fine. Generous breakfast! What kept this motel from being a 5 star was the somewhat sub-standard TV in the room (which for me is not that important). But if an overnight traveler was looking forward to a large variety of cable stations and good display quality, they would have been disappointed. Otherwise, very nice room.

The Sleep Inn offered a good variety for breakfast like hot coffee, tea & juice. Along with waffles, yogurts, cuties, scrambled eggs, sausage and bagels. The location was really good for us too. Our tv had lines going through the screen. Maybe they could fix their cable to offer better tv reception to their customers.

Breakfast was poor in many respects. Biscuits were not edible, like bricks, could not cut with knife. Sausage was not good flavor. Coffee was not hot.

Breakfast area not always kept always well supplied. We often had to request coffee pit be filled and food trays were running low.

Overall, this is a great property. The rooms are updated, clean, and comfortable. The staff is very friendly. The property is quiet and conveniently located. Our only issues was our room was so hot we had to turn the AC on even though it was only 40-something degrees outside and the breakfast was just okay. The potatoes were great, but the rest was just okay—edible, but not great. Overall, it was worth the price we paid.

Great place to stop in and stay

There was hair in the bathroom and on the sheets. It was filthy. The bed felt like it had a drum underneath it. Every time I moved, I heard a noise. The worst part was that when the tornado alarm went off, there was no one in the lobby. The phone in the room didn't work. It was pretty unsafe. There was no emergency signal. I wouldn't stay there again.

Nothing fancy, but a good option in the budget hotel category. Recently renovated, and construction appears complete (no machinery, dust, etc, as mentioned in other reviews). Triple sheet method with white duvet and three clean sheets on bed (in other words, no contact with an old dirty comforter). Bed was comfortable and clean...no stains or bedbugs. Chaise lounge, a decor pillow, and office chair could've used a little upholstery cleaning, but overall the room felt clean. As far as eco-mindedness, they use the refillable shampoo/ conditioner in-shower and only do room cleaning upon request. Near interstate, so traffic could be a little loud. But once asleep, it wasn't an issue. Had mini-fridge (no freezer), microwave, mini coffee maker. Stayed Wed-Sat. Mid week breakfast was more limited, but still had hot options (eggs, buttermilk biscuit, waffle maker, instant oatmeal packet). Weekend included add'l sausage and gravy. Cold options at all times were fresh oranges, raisin bran, fruit loops, yoplait yogurt, bread slices, mini bagels & toaster. Coffee, hot water, tea bags (black, chamomile, or lemon ginger), juice, milk. 6-9am breakfast. Additional snacks and drinks for purchase in snack area. (Food was certainly superior to other budget hotels where it's nearly non existent or just granola bars or "Little Debbie" type muffins).

The entire hotel wreaked of pot. You can tell it had recently been redone. Decor is cute but paint job was not good. We requested an extra blanket and pillow. We were given a sheet and told they don’t offer extra pillows. We were right next to the stairs and maintenance room so there was loud door slamming keeping us up all night. Bed was hard as a rock. Breakfast was pretty basic only complaint was the coffee. There was no sugar or creamer. Far from the worst place we have stayed but could use some help. Wasn’t worth the price of over $200 a night. Had it been $100-$120 I wouldn’t complain at all.

First room assigned to us had dirty towels on the floor upon entering and a pair of wire cutters on the bathroom floor next to toilet. Tile floor looked u swept and the sink counter was dirty. In the second room they assigned to us. Tile floor looked unswept, sink counter was not wiped and there was a HUGE dead BED BUG on the tv stand. No thank you.

I chose the property for the breakfast option in the morning. No where in the booking process was I notified or informed the property was under renovation and no breakfast would be available. Due to the construction, there was too much dust in the lobby area. Not good for sinuses. Room refrigerator door was open, so it was not cold on checkin.

The common areas of the facility are filthy. Filthy. The "breakfast" was an insult (coffee was fine) and sitting in the common area that clearly hadn't been dusted or cleaned for months bordered on disgusting. We literally couldn't see clearly out of the dirty windows in the common/dining area.

The property is nothing special but it wasnt bad. the rooms were clean which was the most important thing. The staff was very friendly and helpful. My only complaint was the TV in the room got terrible reception and every channel was blurry. It looked like it was hooked up to an old antenna on the roof. I would still recommend though.

Under renovation, filthy . Room floor was full of dust , my feet were white from dust. Room bolt lock did not work because door was not lined up properly, washroom room was not lined up, made LOUD noise when opening or closing . No tray in shower so soap and shampoo had to go on the floor. I will never go there again , very poor quality

Not bad but if road noise keeps you up at night, my room you could hear every vehicle or truck who went by in the night. Otherwise it is a hotel and my room was comfortable.

Try to find another hotel if you can. The backdoor lock did not work and anyone could have entered from that side. We felt unsafe all night. TV reception was terrible as well.
