- Problems with room amenities such as air conditioning and bathroom doors

Little things made this a solid 2 star hotel. Like the sink faucet was positioned to far back from the edge of the sink making it difficult to wash your face. Also, the exposed caulking around the shower stall looked cheap and unprofessional.
- 3/5
Average at best. Needs updating.

good job, everyone!

Everything was great! The room location was quiet. The interior of the room was clean and spacious. The front lobby clean, professional front desk personnel. I did not like that parking had to be paid daily. It was an open lot with no cover or closure for safety. Did not see any security for the price of parking. This I did not appreciate- and was unaware of.

Expedia and Hampton Inn did not communicate the change, so while my husband attended a conference Hampton Inn checked him out and removed all of his items. After the conferencehe returned, locked out, and had to pay the hotel directly for another night and reclaim his belongings. A relaxing trip turned into a stressful trip. Expedia refunded us for the night we paid for in advance, and the hotel charged us an extra $75 above the rate we had originally paid with Expedia. I have several reservations with Expedia and this experience has definitely made me cautious about anymore future bookings.

- 5/5
Very nice place in a beautiful city
- 5/5
Great hotel. The beds were great and the room was really good
- 3/5
Twin queen beds with no outside bedside tables. Very few electrical outlets and are loose so plugs fall out. No microwave or safe. Breakfast staff very helpful. Corridors dingy.
- 5/5
William is awesome. The whole staff was amazing and friendly. Thank you so much
- 3/5
The face soap was open and used when we tried to plug in our charger cords to the lamp ta les it wouldn’t work so we called the front desk and asked thinking maybe there was something we were missing and she said oh they never work girl so we had to leave and drive and spend 20 just on a block it was clean but not very nice
- 5/5
The staff was very attentive, the breakfast was delicious, and the room was great!
- 5/5

- 5/5
great stay
- 5/5
Friendly and kind staff. Comfy beds. Nothing to complain about!
- 4/5
Room was spotless. help couldn't be more helpful. I would have loved a microwave in the room though,
- 5/5
Yes, the room was spotless and the staff were most personable. And, as in the past, the complimentary breakfast was outstanding and greatly appreciated!!
- 5/5
Everything was clean and well kept. Breakfast was pretty typical for a Hampton but was fresh and well supplied. There was no top sheet except for what was stuffed into the comforter and the room was too warm to use the comforter. So we had to tear it apart and use the blanket supplied for the sofa bed. We had to turn on the ac in Jan to cool down the room.
- 5/5
Would return.
- 4/5
Hotel was great, clean inside and outside the room. The elevator closet to the room wasn’t working, we had to walk to the back of the building and back.
- 5/5
Mercy was great at check in! Everything was clean and comfortable, breakfast had a great variety. I was only there for a very quick visit, would stay again.
- 5/5
Breakfast wasn’t that great
- 5/5
Everything was good
- 5/5
Mercy at the front desk made our stay enjoyable. She went above & beyond to make our stay efficient & convenient.

Excellent place to stay! Clean, friendly and comfortable. Thank you. Definitely recommend 😁👍
- 5/5
Hotel and room was very clean and well maintained.
- 5/5
It was a nice area
- 2/5
TV did not work and no one was available to fix it. Only option was to change rooms; however, we were already unpacked and settled, so not a workable option. Also, the bathroom was subpar. Floor drain was cracked and looked terrible. Grout was old and discolored. When I unfolded a towel, a clump of hair fell out of it. The handheld shower nozzle in the accessible bathroom was positioned facing the fall, so you couldn't stand under it. The shower curtain was flimsy, so if the water hit it, it went all over the room. Taking a shower left an inch of water in the bathroom. Not sure how that shower was "accessible" because anyone in a wheelchair could not reach the shower nozzle since it was high on the wall. This room needed to be taken off the occupancy list and completely remodeled.
- 5/5
Very clean , great service
- 5/5
Excellent handicapped bathroom and fantastic breakfast. But parking payment was most confusing.
- 5/5
The staff was so helpful and walked me through parking validation.
- 4/5
The breakfast was limited and not fresh. The coffee was OK
- 5/5
Excellent service
- 5/5
Staff was very courteous and helpful
- 5/5
It was all good

Dealt with multiple desk staff who were all helpful and very friendly

- 5/5
Great place - great stay! Danielle who works the front desk was so pleasant and helpful. Keep up the good work Danielle! 😁
- 5/5
Staff was great! We were traveling with a baby and they had a crib available. Very accommodating and kind staff.
- 5/5
A great place to stop and rest. Big shout out to Mercy at the front desk who was an absolute ray of light. She was wonderful!
- 4/5
Definitely a bit dated. Danielle at the front desk was beyond nice and helpful.
- 5/5
Breakfast is fantastic. Very easy to commute to UNC School of Gov. Food in the area is abundant, try Mess Hall. Didn’t give 5 stars on room because both the A/C units in my room were acting up and weren’t fixed by the time my stay ended. Didn’t give 5 stars for area around property because multiple of my classmates had their cars broken into/damaged in the parking lot. Not the hotel’s fault but it happened. Park near the front entrance, that’s what I did. Also, parking is not included in stay, that was 12.5 a day. Ask for a code at the front office, they can sometimes validate your parking. Overall this property is a 5 star.
- 5/5
Check in staff was friendly and welcoming. Good breakfast. Convenient to UNC
- 5/5
The Front desk staff and manager were extremely kind and helpful
- 5/5
Friendly staff
- 5/5
Very clean and accommodating
- 5/5
It was very clean.
- 4/5
Very nice and comfortable. Thank you!
- 5/5
You have to pay for parking at the hotel so that was odd to me but the staff is SO nice. The continental breakfast was really good. Pool is nice. Room is clean
- 4/5
You have to pay to park here.
- 5/5
Good location with a friendly staff.
- 5/5
Friendly staff.
- 2/5
I would not stay here again. They have security. ????
- 5/5
Clean, quiet, good food options, nice bed, good water pressure
- 5/5
I really like this property and the staff is always wonderful. My only complaint is that they have discontinued their afternoon cookies, free parking, and self-pour half and half at breakfast. Those small touches have always made it a little more special. This my fifth stay and I was sad to see the changes. I always choose Hilton as a Hilton honors member, and it is discouraging when amenities are downgraded.
- 4/5
Staff was nice and courteous.
- 5/5
Mercy and Danielle have been outstanding! Friendly with a smile..accommodating and helpful! Thank you to these 2 pleasant ladies! Gary (Chip) Allran, New Bern, NC
- 3/5
Not impressed. One of the worst Hampton Inn breakfasts I have had. Plus, our oom had ants.
- 5/5
Danielle (front desk) was extremely nice, helpful, and polite! Check in was a breeze, and she comped our parking. The whole pricess took less than three minutes, then we were in our room. The room is nice, and i liked the touch of having my name on the TV welcoming us to the facility. Very fair price for what we got. Will be back next time we come to the area!
- 4/5
Staff very friendly, breakfast okay
- 3/5
Staff wasn’t helpful
- 4/5
Bed was uncomfortable, terrible spongy pillows. Shower was for handicapped people. water inevitably spilled over onto the floor outside the shower and presented a hazard as I almost slipped & fell.
- 4/5
Limited dining options. The only restaurant on order in were pizza placed In the hotel mini store it would be nice to have small bottles of wine Without a car you are stuck!
- 1/5
Pool was disgusting and closed and breakfast was awful
- 5/5
The pool was green and disgusting.
- 4/5

Clean, good amenities, good location
- 4/5
The staff were super nice and very professional.

- 5/5
We love this hotel and stay there frequently.
- 5/5
We had an enjoyable stay. Charlotte was very helpful. We will stay here again
- 3/5
The hotel is nice enough and staff are friendly. The walls are thin and the noise travels. We unfortunately had a very noisy experience due to a large group of teenagers being there and the hotel sold out. We were offered points in exchange for our inconvenience. The location is convenient yet private.
- 5/5
Manager, staff, clean, etc. refreshing to see after 6 hours on the road. I would definitely stay there the next time I go to Chapel Hill. Great job.
- 5/5
great clean rooms and great service. Loved the pool and the lemon water in the lobby was refreshing
- 5/5
All good
- 5/5
Very clean, great breakfast
- 5/5
Close to interstate, dining options, easy to get to
- 4/5
People were great, the breakfast was very limited in selection and killed a couple of big bugs each day we were there. But overall it worked well, looking to try a new place next time.
- 5/5
Customer service was Awesome
- 4/5
Needing to scan a code to make sure I’m not towed out of the hotel parking lot was ridiculous, or incurring a possible fee has a bad taste in the mouth. If the hotel feels they need security, then that’s on them. Even the front desk was polite, and they understand how odd this is. Nice hotel, strange rule. Thank you.
- 2/5
Found a cockroach running underneath our suitcase when we returned from the evening. Staff was a bit indifferent to the experience but did say sorry. Will not return to this property as it feels tired overall. Breakfast staff pleasant and overall effective at running the buffet.
- 5/5
I've been staying at this Hampton Inn for years, and it never disappoints. Clean, friendly, spacious, well-maintained.
- 5/5
Great price, great breakfast buffet.
- 5/5
Awesome stay !
- 5/5
There is a parking fee if you book through Expedia and the pool is not heated or staffed and is on the back side of a dark parking lot. Also whole wall of the shower is cracked. Front desk person was very nice however.
- 5/5
Great location. Exactly what we needed. The staff has always been very friendly and helpful.
- 5/5
Quietest hotel I have ever stayed in. Staff was so nice and helpful. Was not able to have the breakfast due to our surgery was scheduled early.
- 4/5
Rooms were a good size and it was quiet. But the rooms didn't have a mini kitchen or any utensils, just a minifrig and microwave like many hotels have.
- 1/5
Booked this hotel to attend a festival . Water was turned off and I couldn't use the bathroom or shower after a very exhausting day ! Staff wouldn’t issue a discount or anything and said no to a later check out time to wait for the water to get fixed . VERY UNPROFESSIONAL !
- 4/5
Many of the staff were friendly and helpful; a few were not. Appreciate it being pet friendly.
- 5/5
Staff was very helpful and made sure everything was satisfactory.
- 5/5
.
- 5/5
Wish Iyou did not have to pay to park
- 5/5
The hotel staff were very professional, helpful, and friendly. Hotel was very clean.
- 5/5
Great
- 5/5
We enjoyed our stay!
- 5/5
Hampton Inn was great for our business group. We had a large group and checkin went quickly and smoothly. There was room to gather in the lobby and our rooms were very nice, clean and spacious.
- 5/5
I loved the location
- 2/5
Room was clean. Front desk people were more worried about being on their phones than helping customers. You pay for parking and they say they have security, my vehicle was broken into and not notified. The cameras on the outside the building were not able to see my vehicle when I acquired about seeing video.
- 1/5
Expedia, on the other hand, totally screwed up their reservation. They also made it particularly hard to rectify the problem.
- 5/5
Loved everything about my stay!
- 5/5
Everything was great except you have to not only pay to stay here but pay to park which is an extra expense.
- 5/5
1night quick trip to take family to the area.
- 4/5
I was shocked that I had to pay to park. Also they’ve raised the pet fee to 75.00. I board my dog for 35.00. The room was fine, clean and comfortable but being nickel and dimed is ridiculous. Unfortunately the parking and dog fee is why I won’t be returning to your hotel.
- 2/5
Having to pay to park at a rural Hampton Inn! That is absolutely ridiculous. And although the room was clean and comfortable, the bed had two little completely worn out flat foam pillows and two feather pillows, which were equally worn out. I went to the front desk and asked for more foam pillows as my wife is deathly allergic to feather pillows. She said There weren’t any and that’s all that they had. Completely unacceptable for a Hampton Inn.
- 3/5
I got bit by a bug, tick or spider from the bed.
- 5/5
A group of friends visited here together to attend UNC ballgames. The Hampton was comfortable and in a convenient location. Shout out to Zykia and Lanetta for outstanding service and their friendly demeanors.
- 5/5
Clean, Quiet, Comfort, Eazy assessable to food and restaurants, those are things I’m most interested in when staying away. My stay had it all!
- 5/5
Everything and staff person was “top shelf” to deal with. Very knowledgeable and service oriented. We will definitely stay here again!
- 5/5
***You do have to pay for parking using the QR code or you will get a ticket so look around where you park.
- 5/5
Clean nicely furnished. Perfect location for my Duke Doctors visit. Quiet. It served my purpose in every way.
- 5/5
Hampton is consistently good!
- 5/5
Hotel room was very clean and beds were very comfortable.
- 4/5
Having to pay to park at a hotel you are staying at is absolutely ridiculous
- 5/5
What an extremely welcoming and friendly front desk!!! Hotel is quiet and clean. Breakfast starts at 6 AM. Complimentary water bottles. Suites are huge. What more can you ask for?
- 4/5
Great location. Easy to access 40
- 1/5
They also have that awful pay-to-park system. You get nothing for your money, no cover, no security. no valet. We have decided not to stay in hotels that have that system. Because of the reservation hassle, the surly staff, the absent manager, the stupid parking rip off, we left a day early and will no longer do business with Hampton Inns as a chain. Many other options are available.
- 1/5
You didnt ask what i ddnt like. $20 fee at check in. I think it might security deposit. Check in person didnt know, didnt speak good English. And then I get in my car to leave the next moening and i have a notice on my car. $15 TO PARK!
- 4/5
Went there for a diving competition for my granddaughter. The stay was very pleasant and allowed us to be just mere minutes from where her competition was held. The room was spacious and very comfortable. I was pleasantly surprised at the breakfast choices and I really liked the breakfast. So did my granddaughters.
- 5/5
Had a lovely stay here. They upgraded us upon arrival to a suite, which was a lovely way to start. The bed was very comfortable, the bathroom and shower were great, and breakfast in the morning offered a little of everything from 6 to 10 AM! The hallways were musty due to a pipe leak they had had last week, but they were cleaning it, and it did not affect my bedroom. Be aware that they charge $10 per night for parking. I have no clue why.
- 5/5
Very friendly front desk person, room was very clean.
- 5/5
Only thing is you have to pay $10 or something for parking, which was kind of annoying. But other than that it was fantastic and no complaints whatsoever.
- 3/5
Room door warped and very hard to open and close. Parking fee just a money grab. Put it in room rate. Not impressed with free breakfast. Did have good coffee
- 2/5
Did not know hotel charged for parking. Killed roaches in my room two nights in a row, when asked to move rooms hotel staff stated there was no guarantee that the other room would not have cockroaches.
- 5/5
Floor underneath bathroom sink was dirty.
- 5/5
We come to visit our grandchildren in Chapel Hill, and we always stay at the same Hampton Inn, because it’s close to where our family lives. The staff has always been courteous to us, the breakfasts are always hot and ready to go and the setting is really pretty.
- 5/5
We enjoyed our stay
- 5/5
The friendly staff.
- 1/5
They overbooked the property and did not have a room for us. They did transfer us to another hotel. However, it was a two night reservation and they wanted us to pack up and return the following day. Fortunately, the manager at the Carborro location was incredibly helpful and allowed us to stay there both nights without having to move.
- 4/5
ONly stayed one night. Easy access to Freeway
- 4/5
Hampton Inn chain is always a reliable stay with clean facilities and comfortable beds. This hotel requires you to pay for parking.
- 3/5
My stay was fine but I will never stay at another Hampton Inn and Suites. I think it was ridiculous to have to pay $10.00 for parking after paying $165.00 for a room. When I booked I did not know about this. I only found put when I arrived. When I asked the front desk about it all she said was it was something Hampton Inn and Suits had started doing.
- 5/5
Great hotel, nice and clean. Will definitely stay here again.
- 3/5
Staff was super friendly and breakfast was great, the rooms could use an upgrade-Every time the air turned on, it smelled horribly of mold
- 5/5
Right off highway but not easy to see.
- 5/5
Breakfast not up past experiences.
