The restaurant on site receives mixed reviews, with some guests praising the food and others finding it disappointing.

I thought they were all suites, but it was a generic room.
- 3/5
The TV was set on Captions and asked that someone cancel it. Nothing was done.
- 5/5
Staff at check-in was pleasant and helpful. Hotel was beautiful and easy to park and get around at. We had a quiet and clean room. We slept well and would stay again.
- 5/5
The restaurant is very good. Rooms very clean and spacious
- 5/5
Had a problem with the TV not working when we got there. Everything else was great.
- 5/5
Room was clean....a/c did not lower the humidity in our room
- 5/5
We really enjoyed our stay at this property. The rooms were clean as were the common areas of the hotel. The pool was open until 10 PM and was very great to enjoy after a long day. If I’m ever back in Charleston again, we would gladly stay here.
- 3/5
My poor ratings are related to me being stung by wasps out by the pool. After I was stung, I saw a large wasp nest hanging from a light at the side of the building. It should never have been there. After I was stung, I went into the front desk to report the incident. The lady at the front desk simply said, “I’m sorry that happened “, then said she would have maintenance address the nest. The next day went we were leaving, the nest was still there.
- 5/5
Comfortable bed, room smelled fresh, plenty of room, good location
- 5/5
This is the only hotel I book in Charleston. The property is clean, the rooms are well appointed and decorated tastefully. The pool is a great amenity. I highly recommend the room with an air bath, so relaxing.

Good hotel
- 4/5
Although the property was large, it was still very quiet. It not only provided a pool & a workout room, but a restaurant and bar as well. It’s also in front of a grocery store and next to other fast food options. I appreciated the ice machines, the buckets for ice in the room & the vending machines in the same area. The only thing missing were the charging stations for phones/ electronic devices.
- 4/5
We were in town for my son’s wedding. It was centrally located not only to the venue, but the rehearsal dinner, David’s Bridal for my dress and the other restaurants where we dined during our stay. There was a grocery store right behind us which was convenient for each room had a refrigerator and microwave. It gave the old school feel with ice machines, the ice buckets, vending machines for snacks, a restaurant & a bar as well as a swimming pool and fitness room. Plenty of options for people of all ages. This is a huge property and we weren’t the only wedding party staying there. With that being said, I never heard anyone else in the hallways. Perfect because I was both exhausted and stressed needing all the sleep I could get. The only thing I needed during the stay was the charging stations for electronics. I forgot my cube and there were no ports on the lamps, desk, alarm clock or walls as you typically find in most hotels now.

could use some cleaning.

Love this hotel because it was a great location and reasonably priced. It was very nice and clean, had a great pool! The staff was helpful and friendly. The food was excellent and I'll definitely stay there again when I go back to Charleston!
- 4/5
Clean hotel in a good location.
- 5/5
Exceptional
- 5/5
The room was immaculate. The staff were very helpful in finding local places to visit and great places to eat. The restaurant in the hotel was very good. There were plenty of parking spots near our section where our room was. The pool was fun and never over crowded. The beds and amenities were great. We would definitely come back. The hotel is a short drive to downtown Charleston and has plenty of things around the vicinity of the hotel itself for eating and shopping.
- 5/5
The hotel is older but it was comfortable. The room was spacious and the air conditioning worked well. The staff were all very kind and helpful. The on-site restaurant, Trotters, was very good.
- 5/5
Professoalism of staff I've answered enough. Great property.
- 5/5
A great place to stay close to where we needed to be clean room friendly staff Trotters was a great place to eat very easy check in and check out even the cleaning staff was great
- 0.5/5
Chairs had stains, walls had stains, bath tub took over an hour to fill because the faucet didn't work fully. Lamp didn't work. Tv quit working in the middle of the night. Even though I paid in full through booking the hotel still charged me again for the full price leaving me paying almost $800 for one night at this hotel. Dirty towel left on my counter. Staff was rude in regards to getting my money refunded. Didn't get it back until 3 days later. Won't be back after this. Also the tub jets kept going off in the middle of the night and the alarm clock kept crackling. Most stressful stay I've ever had at a hotel. No breakfast included - costs $25 for a typical cold breakfast buffet. For this price I expect more. Never again
- 5/5
The pillows do feel uncomfortable.

Rooms are clean, staff are friendly, and close to the Magnolia and Middleton place. The pillows do feel uncomfortable.

Very good

The room was clean and the hotel itself was very quiet. I was disappointed that breakfast was $25 per person. For the price of the hotel stay (over $300 for one night - but it was memorial day weekend so i get the price increased) but that much for the stay - breakfast should be included or not $25. I could get breakfast for me and my spouse for $25 or under somewhere else. Could the front desk ladies be more joyful and happy to see me? Sure but I really only came to them to check in/check out. There was $50 taken from my account when I checked in, even though I already paid the total price for the stay of one night, so I was confused on that and waiting for that $50 to be back into my account!

Comfortable and convenient. Great staff. Nice gym
- 5/5
Highly recommended!!
- 5/5
Everything was spectacular as far as the staff the food and the property was really uptake King
- 5/5
Friendly front desk staff. Large clean and comfortable rooms. Very comfortable bedding.
- 4/5
Beautiful rooms, nice staff, and very clean. BUT, at night the lights from the parking lot coming into my room were like stadium lights! And you could not close the curtains to shut those bright lights out. It was broad daylight just flooding in all night long.
- 5/5
Very Clean, Very Quiet
- 5/5
Tv needs updating !!!!!!!!
- 4/5
Closeness to Charleston and convenience
- 4/5
The room was nicely prepared by the staff for our anniversary weekend. The food in the restaurant was good, but seemed overpriced (it could have been included in the stay). Our suite had a hot tub, and it was older and not in the best condition, but it functioned properly. Staff was excellent and did all they could to make our stay enjoyable.
- 4/5
The restaurant hours are a little limited. I think they should open earlier than 7:30. It would also be nice to have some coffee in the lobby in the morning, as an alternative to the in-room coffee.
- 5/5
Stayed here 2 nights and we were extremely happy with it from all aspects, from checking in, cleanliness of the hotel/room, spaciousness of the room with additional chairs to sit on, TV supported 100 channels which all worked at no additional charge. Pool area was clean with ample seating to enjoy soaking up the sun. Machines in the laundry area down the hall were fairly new and clean to utilize if needed. Location of the hotel is 12 minutes from Charleston historic district which was easy drive with our car. Would I stay at the hotel again - absolutely.
- 5/5
Great experience, was not expecting it to be as nice as it was. Pleasantly surprised
- 5/5
Had a lovely stay.
- 5/5
Parking is excellent. The rooms are very clean, the staff was very friendly. Shout out to Bruce.
- 4/5
Everything was great! The only exception I would note is that the beds are older and the pillows not very comfortable. Great location and stay otherwise!
- 4/5
Check-in went smoothly. Front desk person was very helpful and friendly. Room very nice-bed comfortable. Huge problem was on first night huge flood lights on parking lot made our room bright as daytime. Couldn’t sleep-called front desk and person on duty said she had safety pins to use on curtains and I could pick them up-which I did in nightclothes and had to drive-too far to walk. There was no concern, apologies, offer to change rooms. Safety pins did nothing-waste of energy. Next day front desk person on duty offered an upgrade room-no additional charge-at check out we were charged. To date haven’t received refund. Hotel great location-restaurant very good-staff friendly-can’t say same thing about night front desk person.
- 5/5
Nice
- 4/5
The rooms were nice, but the TVs are very old and was hard to regulate the temperature in the room. Also, the tables and chairs in the pool area were not very clean.
- 5/5
Parking was easy and definitely convenient. Rooms were very clean and staff were friendly. The location was extremely convenient to what you need. Would book again.
- 4/5
Staff was friendly. Did not eat there, so cannot comment on the food. The hotel provides good relative value for the Charleston market.
- 5/5
We have stayed here at least 3 times for appointments we have had in Charleston and always a good experience.
- 1/5
The property needed an update! Old tv without the ability to stream. Shower didn’t work well, toilet got stopped up and the hallway was very LOUD! we could hear any time someone opened or closed their doors esp housekeeping. For the price, I expected cleaner and updated accommodations! I will not stay here again
- 5/5
Austin and Roger did a great job. They both should get Employee of the Month. We will be back.
- 3/5
No water pressure. Couldn’t take a shower because of low water pressure. No USb connection for equipment.
- 3/5
Over all it is aging needs to update. Restaurant Breakfast was great. Dinner not so much, under staffed
- 4/5
Good stay.
- 4/5
Stayed at this property during a recent visit to Charleston. Although we did have a few glitches with our room, the staff was attentive to our concerns and quickly made things right. The location is convenient while not quite downtown in the historic district. I give this hotel high marks for their customer service and overall hospitality - desk staff and management.

We have stayed at Town and Country at least five times. My son lives nearby. The staff is great, Michael at the lounge and restaurant knows us by name, and he's excellent at his job. The reason I gave an average review is for a few recurring incidents. The first night visiting we go to the lounge and Chloe, bartender, server, cashier, and phone receptionist was overwhelmed. The lights were not working properly. The draft beers were not working or available. Small things, but disappointing when you want to relax. We left after 45 minutes after waiting and not getting our pizza. (the food at trotters has always been great!) Not her fault. She was working her butt off. Also, the ice machine was out of service on the second floor. As it was last time we stayed. The front staff did their job. They seemed bored, but adequately welcoming. Maybe, these days we are asking too much? The point is they maybe they were understaffed. We pay a premium to stay there. We are seriously considering going elsewhere our next trip. - 5/5
Everything was great and location is great!
- 5/5
Beautiful property, loved the pool and the cleanliness. A bit out of the way from the tourists center, but good value overall.
- 4/5
Only gripe, their Trotters restaurant is fantastic, but I wished there was some sort of discount for guests who were staying the night.
- 4/5
From the road, the hotel is misleading. The inside was a surprise. The rooms were very nice and comfortable. Housekeeping was okay, but missed refilling coffee station. The pool area was very pretty and had comfortable furniture for relaxing. The hotel was very clean including elevators. One soda machine didnt work. All in all this hotel was a very good value. We would recommend staying there. Easy drive to central Charleston also.
- 5/5
Everything was clean and the staff was nice. The room was large and well furnished.
- 4/5
Quick and easy check in with friendly staff. Our room was nice and clean. The only complaint I have, is how badly sound travels at 3:45 am from other guests talking in the hallway and allowing their door to slam behind them.
- 5/5
Beautiful and clean! We had everything we wanted.
- 5/5
The rooms were very nice and clean, comfortable beds, enjoyed me stay will definitely return when in the area.
- 5/5
enjoyable stay.
- 5/5
AC worked fine
- 5/5
Room was clean and comfortable. Restaurant and bar areas were nice.
- 4/5
Comfortable, enjoyed our stay.
- 3/5
This was ok except our room was a little smelly.
- 3/5
Dated 90's hotel in need of a refresh!
- 1/5
We checked in late and everything in the surrounding area was closed. There were no water bottles in any of the vending machines. We got the last 2 and they charged me for 3. When I told the front desk they said it would “fall off”. It did not. When we brought it up at checkout, no one could help us and they said the manager would call us to follow up. No one did. It’s a couple dollars, so it’s not a big deal but the fact that we checked every vending machine and could only get 2 bottles of water was super frustrating. Our toilet was broken and would run continuously and had trouble flushing.
- 5/5
Cold AC. Fantastic condition
- 5/5
Never ate their breakfast but the lunch in Trotter restraunt was excellent. The group dinner was also very good. HVAC worked as expected and was very quiet. Kudos to the services manager.
- 4/5
Front desk help could definitely be more personable. First impression was completely underwhelming. For this reason alone I would not stay there again.
- 4/5
Clean and comfortable. Easy parking
- 4/5
I enjoyed my stay. I didn’t like that the key card’s deactivated themselves four different times. The staff was friendly, but the front desk lost paperwork that I had already signed. Room was clean and loved the shower. Overall 4/5.
- 4/5
Clean room, friendly staff, atrocious price for breakfast.
- 4/5
I would have liked to have had water botttles in the room.
- 5/5
One of the greatest stays I've had.and i have traveled around the world. Very fun place.
- 5/5
We were very impressed with this hotel. The rooms are spacious, the bedding is comfortable, the dining experience was a favorite . We felt our safety was top notch because a key card is required for each hall and outside doors. Parking was adequate. There was no outside noise to disturb our rest. The staff went overboard to make us feel comfortable.
- 5/5
Yes!
- 5/5
Very clean, bed was comfy, and air tub was relaxing.
- 5/5
Good clean place . My go too
- 1/5
I sprayed Lysol in the room & bedbug spray on the bed which is my normal routine, after sitting on the bed for 20-25mins by 11pm I was bitten by bedbugs. I called the front desk, they were no help as they kept saying everything is "new" in the hotel. There were no other available rooms, I had to work with Expedia to get a refund & find another hotel. Awful experience!
- 5/5
Clean room.
- 5/5
Great place
- 5/5
The rooms were wonderful and the staff were pleasant and friendly. Trotters Restaurant which is associated with the Suites had great food and very helpful staff!😊
- 5/5
Property was clean and nice. Recommend putting at least 2 sets of towels and washclothes in rooms for customers. Onsite resturant was excellent

Very clean and quiet
- 5/5
The room was nice. The restaurant was nice. I loved my suite. Everything was clean.
- 5/5
Excellent experience
- 5/5
Received a very pleasant welcome when we initially walked. Room good size and well decorated. Bathroom was clean and had both walk-in shower and bath tub.
- 3/5
Room 118 needed some attention. The toilet tank need a new flapper and tank float. It constantly ran if not attended to each time you flushed. The shower and sink both had drip issues and the on/off switches for the bathroom lights had a broken area at the top of the switch that was a concern with wet hand. We had no housekeeping for a couple of days which could be weather related. At least one day was. Sort of surprise with things since this hotel was advertised as recently renovated.
- 3/5
The staff was amazing to me - the gals at the front desk were warm and welcoming. Obviously a very slow time of year and unused rooms are not looked at before assigning them as there was just a layer of dust on everything - other than that it was clean, but having dust on all the surfaces was a real ick factor. Some simple, cheap things to make guests feel like you really care - 1. In addition to the glass glasses (or instead of) provide individually wrapped disposable cups. Too many shows have been aired on the disgusting things done with the glass glasses. 2. Provide some kind of curtain clip - when staying on the ground floor, curtains that don’t fully close and stay closed creates a creepy feeling. 3. During slow seasons, looking at your bookings, figure out which rooms you are going to assign and do a quick freshening of the rooms before the guest arrives. That stale air smell is not inviting. 4. Regularly check all furnishings and equipment in rooms before having a guest stay at there. People I travelled with had heat issues with their room - so did I, but I am a handy person and knew how to resolve it - not everyone is. Make sure tv’s are in working order and toilets flush appropriately. I generally travel alone and I consider myself to be low maintenance, but I always appreciate the extra touches that make the stay more comfortable. Your staff seems accommodating, but they just don’t have all the tools they need to make it a great stay. Just ok.
- 5/5
The room was perfect, with an old fashioned charm.
- 3/5
Elevator not working, bar and restaurant closed due to weather, no heat in my room, moved first to a room that was not clean, then to another room that took some time to warm up. It was not a great experience.
- 4/5
Clean, friendly staff, hospitable. Wish the mobility room was bigger, not much room for a wheelchair but it worked
- 5/5
Excellent place to stay while visiting Charleston
- 3/5
Missed a little nuance here that breakfast was ‘available’ and not included with the stay.. price? A cool $25 per for a family of four.. same as the price of a hotel stay.. no thanks!
- 5/5
yes, a little cold, could not adjust thermostat.
- 5/5
The staff was wonderful and very helpful.
- 3/5
Staff were friendly. Carpets definitely need a deep cleaning at a minimum. Room smelled musty.

We found bugs at the end of one bed which I showed to several maintenance staff and took pictures of. Unfortunately I did not look the night before. Staff was great but I did let them know if I come home with bedbugs we'll need to talk.
- 5/5
The room was really nice and comfortable. We were able to relax after our wedding. The jetted tub was amazing along with the walk in shower. The bed was extremely comfortable. Property is very nice and well taken care of. We enjoyed our stay. Would absolutely recommend.

- 5/5
Very clean room, easy parking and assess to the room. Staff was very polite and helpful.
- 5/5
Very clean and beautiful place to stay.
- 5/5
Courteous staff, modern design good beds and convenient parking. The only downside was a pricey breakfast buffet
- 1/5
I didn’t receive a “Free Breakfast!”
- 5/5
The room and hotel were very clean and the staff went overboard to be helpful. Definitely would stay there again!
- 4/5
The property was very nice. Bruce, at the front desk, was very pleasant. I will say, the rooms are a bit outdated, but nonetheless, it was a nice stay.
- 5/5
Quick & easy check in, friendly staff, nice rooms at affordable prices.
- 5/5
Always a great stay!!

The concierge was very helpful. I had been at MUSC and had my eyes dialated. I arrived a little earlier than check in, and Bruce, found me a room available. He was very professional and helpful.
- 5/5
Friendly staff, comfortable room.
- 3/5
Not super clean. And the elevator smelled like marijuana. Front desk didn’t seem more than obligatory friendly. Restaurant and everyone else was very nice.
- 5/5
Great hotel for those of us with a need to be convenient to downtown Charleston as well as Edisto. The rooms are spacious and clean, and they have a pool, as well as an exercise room. I will gladly stay here again if I return to the area.
- 5/5
The entire staff were kind and very helpful. I was honestly surprised how nice it was bc I had never heard of this name before. Great location. Very clean. 100/10 I will definitely be back!
- 4/5
Rooms and staff were lovely! Breakfast buffet only at a hefty cost given the limited healthy choices
- 5/5
Fantastic experience. Clean & quiet. Great value.
- 3/5
The room was very clean as always. The staff was very friendly and professional. However, we had a room with a walk in ahower, the controls were on the far wall, so to take a shower, you had no choice but to stand in cold water while waiting for warm water. We mentioned it to the front desk, and they did not offer to switch our room. We had also always enjoyed their restaurant, but this time vegetables were inedible and the chicken francaise wasn't good. Not thin, not breaded and gristly.
- 5/5
Outstanding
- 5/5
The beds were very comfortable and the couple at the front desk were very nice.

We stayed for one night for a Navy sub reunion. Upon arrival the gentleman at the front desk was not very friendly but also not rude…just matter-of-fact. We got our keys and I went to our room while my husband went to the reunion room. Could not open the door to the room. It flashed green but then wouldn’t open until it flashed red. I had to walk with my luggage all the way through the hotel to the front desk (our room was almost to the back of the hotel). For a person in good health it wouldn’t have been a problem but I’m not and it took a lot out of me. I explained to the same man that my key wasn’t working. He said I needed to pull up on the handle…I don’t stay often at a hotel so I’m not sure when that changed. So that worked…I’m in the hotel room and it’s a very spacious and comfortable room. It was weird the there were doors to the bedroom from the tub but to each their own. We had dinner with the reunion. I don’t eat very much but what we were served was not very good. My husband said it wasn’t too bad but if it wasn’t because of the reunion we would never eat there. The chicken was grilled way to long. I left early to go to bed. I pull back the covers and the top sheet is dirty. I’m exhausted and ready for bed and not being in good health so my husband my husband left the reunion to go to the front desk. They gave him a sheet for us to change our own sheet! I would never stay again…definitely not worth the money and no one offered a refund.

We have stayed at this hotel a number of times and always have a great experience. The staff is always friendly, the rooms and entire property very clean and maintained. The location is convenient for going downtown but not so close that there's a lot of noise or crowds.

Restaurant was closed but does not indicate this on the in-house menu when we went to order diner. Cobwebs on the ceiling and hairs present in bathtub upon arrival. We were out all day came back at 4:30 pm then housekeeping arrived which was inconvenient so we said it was not needed. Laundry facilities required change but the change machine was out of service. We asked front desk for change from 2 dollar bills and was advised we could go to the grocery store next door. Since the restaurant was closed we ordered on Uber Eats who forgot to give us utensils. I asked front desk if they could get me some utensils from the restaurant she said no because it was closed and locked so off I went to the grocery store a second time that evening. Went to dry my hair and the hairdryer did not work. Place is worn with stains on walls and furniture, no pictures on the walls. Went to lobby restaurant in morning for coffee and was charged $9 US for 2 coffees. Not a pleasant stay overall.

- 5/5
Clean, comfortable room. Safe and quiet with easy parking
- 5/5
Great. They let us check in early. They had a great restaurant.
- 3/5
Front desk staff was not very polite. The lobby and main hallways areas smelled like brussel sprouts. Things are definitely outdated - old tvs, worn out towels, stains on carpet, etc. also all the drink machines were sold out of water during our entire stay.
- 5/5
Located near shopping and restaurants. Ample parking and secure property access.
- 5/5
Dining staff were “Outstanding” and some of the best customer service I’ve experienced.
- 5/5
Great staff, especially in the restaurant, the food was delicious.

Great stay!
- 5/5
Staff was extremely nice. Although the AC did not work in our original room, the front desk staff did not hesitate to move us to a different room. Once moved, everything was great. Very clean and comfortable rooms, we will be staying here again in the future. It was convenient to everything and downtown.

It’s cleanliness and great parking

Breakfast was $25 per person

Front desk service unprofessional. This was a group family trip, and I specifically stated that I would pay for all the rooms reserved, I made the reservations with my credit card. Upon check in, each resident must present a credit card that is charged $50.00 which is refunded at after check out in case of "INCIDENTALS". While of course there were no "incidentals", the front desk charged each room against the cards everyone presented which were specifically stated by staff to be used if there were incidentals. This trip was supposed to be a gift to my family and even though I went out of my way to clearly state that to the staff, they obviously don't care or bother to follow this guest's request. They didn't show any concern when I addressed them after finding out nor expressed any accountability. This lack of concern leaves me no confidence in the management of this establishment, and I will neither stay there nor refer. The room was nice. Breakfast is way overpriced for what you get so we ate out. Next door has very good breakfast, casual setting.

Hands down worst experience in a hotel ever 12:30 at night arrived for a reservation paid for almost $300 for one night was told they will not rent a locals although my money had already been accepted hardwoods were being refinished in my home so I needed a night away to let them finish 7 to 10 days to return my money was turned away had to sleep in the truck in a parking lot because I had no other money for a hotel room they turn the country does not think highly of their customers in fact they have no problem seeing them in the street with nowhere to go even though they have already paid their for their space Expedia and Town & country have no listing anywhere or disclaimer anywhere to the fact that they do not rent the locals my money should have never been taken in the first place how dare Town & country treat their customers like this and Expedia how dare you take 7 to 10 days to return the money the money when you were explained that the customer had no more money to get a different hotel room or make another reservation thanks for putting me in the street for the night guys you guys are the worst

We’ve stayed here many times. Always clean, staff very friendly and restaurant is excellent.

It was a fantastic stay and I would definitely go back and do it again sometime soon .A+++++

We have made multiple trips to Charleston while renovating a home. Finding a nice place to stay West Ashley is rather difficult. We've tried a few others and keep coming back to Town and Country. It is by far the nicest hotel West Ashley. The price is excellent. Rooms are large, clean, beautifully decorated.
- 5/5
Our go-to hotel when in town.
- 4/5
The elevator was out. Not a fan of being the last room in the furthest corner of the hall. That won't happen all the time. Room was very nice. TV wasn't an app tv and also didn't have very many channels. Seems they could make that upgrade in the year 2025.

Dinner at the onsite restaurant was excellent, awesome chef!

Had a very good and comfortable stay

Great place to stay

Spacious, great amenities, excellent value
- 5/5
Best Inn that I ever stayed at for the price I paid. I would definitely stay again when I am in town.
- 2/5
Food option buffet was great offered during the weekend. The room was ok. The curtains weren't black-out, fire alarm wasn't service (my husband had to replace the battery), roaches greeted us, the shower head was broke along with the handle, and the shower walls were dirty.
- 5/5
Restaurant and bar on site. Free parking. Spacious and clean room. So comfortable.

Great service

Great place
- 5/5
Amanda at the front desk is incredible. We got a flat tire and were without our car for the evening; she offered a ton of suggestions and help. Amanda went above and beyond her job duties! It’s great to know that southern hospitality still exists
- 5/5
Great rate, convenient to downtown, easy parking.

Very hospitable staff

My family and I really enjoyed staying at this hotel, staff was very friendly. The rooms was super clean and the bed was super comfortable. Would definitely be staying there again in the future

Clean and spacious

First visit to a Town & Country Inn & Suites; an attractive and well maintained property. Very clean and orderly. Front dest staff excellent. Only comment - for me the pillows were awful! Too soft.

Great stay!

Very nice room, dinner and drinks were great. Air tub was nice as well…..

Thin walls

It was a nice place, a bit pricey and we heard people in the hallway late. Very clean and spacious!

Nice place

See what was checked above.
- 5/5
We stay here each visit to Charleston. The hotel is comfortable ….the staff friendly & helpful! Trotters, in house restaurant, is delicious & convenient. The location is convenient to MUSC & the interstate.
- 5/5
The only thing I could say that is negative is the toilet is really low
- 5/5
Another exceptional stay at this facility.
- 5/5
We had a very pleasant stay! We loved the pool and our room was so clean and comfortable. Cozy beds and blankets.
- 4/5
Good times, bed might have been a little jumped on
- 5/5
Nicest hotel I've been in a long time. Can't believe this is not a 4 or 5 star hotel.
- 3/5
Room was okay, a bit pricey for what you get. They offer a breakfast buffet, but for $25. Ive stayed in a lot of hotels, and would expect a more affordable breakfast option given the price of the room.
- 5/5
Clean, beautiful and comfortable to say the least.
- 5/5
Was beautiful and clean. All the amenities were amazing. The staff were super helpful! We will be staying again.
- 5/5
Enjoyed our stay
- 5/5
We have stayed here before and will do so again. Very nice hotel.
- 5/5
The first floor of rooms must have flooded because they had high velocity fans and a musty smell. However the lobby and rooms were exceptional! I would absolutely stay here again.
- 5/5
We have stayed here numerous times over the last 13 years since our daughter was a student at College of Charleston. The staff here is always friendly and the rooms are clean. It is convenient to downtown and the beaches. We had dinner at Trotter"s Restaurant in the hotel and it was great.
- 5/5
They had a laundry facility onsite, which was beneficial.
- 5/5
Very nice hotel clean and staff was very helpful. Everyone was pleasant and friendly.
- 5/5
Unassuming from the front but rooms are spacious, clean and beautiful with a shower and tub. Close to restaurants and the city.
- 5/5
The rooms were dated yet modern. And the dining was awesome.
- 5/5
Superior!
- 4/5
The bed wasn't very comfortable.
- 4/5
This place is very nice . It kinda reminds you of a nice Vegas hotel as far as the furnishings and rooms go. but definitely a bit dated. The bath tub is extremely low in the double rooms and clearly old . Also the beds were not great. Overall it seems like it was once a 5 star resort and they’ve maintained it . But it’s just aged
- 4/5
The bathroom did not have a door. When they remodeled the rooms, they could have at least added a pocket door for privacy when using the toilet. Also, our room keys were demagnetized multiple times. This was even while they were in a protective sleeve.
- 5/5
The lobby staff was very friendly upon check in. We stayed in the junior suite with air bath. The room was very spacious and the bed was very comfortable. We tried the weekend breakfast buffet. It was good but not worth the $25 per person. Will definitely stay here again.
- 4/5
Our stay was nice. Check in was fast and easy.
- 2/5
One bright spot was staff member at restaurant went out of her way to get us 2 coffees in the morning since there was no self serve coffee in lobby. Overall way too expensive for the room and I wouldn’t recommend it.
- 2/5
Disappointed in this stay. We grossly overpayed for this room. Room was clean but run down. The shower and tub were very moldy, the towels tattered. There were large stains on the furniture and bedding as well as many marks on the walls. The air conditioner whistled the whole night and the door was paper thin so i could hear other guests talking in the hallways and playing music in their rooms. I also had to get up in the middle of the night to fix the toilet at one point due to a leak. The pool area was okay but even that showed its age. There were a lot of cracks in the concrete and numerous lights in the courtyard were broken. It wasnt the worst room ive stayed in by far but considering the price ($170 all in), we should have paid half of what they charged. The property was probably nice at one time but this hotel is old and on the end of its life. I would only recommend if you find a great deal (~$100) and are looking for a budget stay. On the positive side the staff were friendly, especially at the restaurant.
- 5/5
Quaint older place, could use some small upgrades.
- 5/5
Really nice hotel. But no coffee in the lobby for customers .
- 3/5
We love this hotel - the only bad thing was our microwave was broken in the room and that prevented a late dinner.
- 4/5
The wifi was slow so be aware if you plan on doing remote business.
- 4/5
Clean quiet in the back rooms. Could not get into pool at 8:10 with key
- 4/5
We had a good stay. The room was clean and well stocked. The mini fridge didn’t work well. But we weren’t in the room enough to worry about that. 1 of the 2 ladies we interacted with at the counter was extremely nice. The food at the in house restaurant wasn’t bad. We didn’t use the pool , but the area around it was nice.
- 4/5
It was a great place except it was a little awkward getting to our room
- 4/5
Great value for the cost. A little dated, but well maintained and staffed. Great location and proximity to downtown Charleston. Restaurants was good.
- 5/5
Nice stay
