This property was the worst property I ever ever went into ever in life. I have never experienced anything like this before I needed to come over as closer to the hospital, where I was gonna stay too so that my husband was able to go back to work in the morning without being so much pressure on the both of us and went there and could not stay because it was awful the experience you have to see the photos doesn’t know what I’m talking about. It did not represent what was advertise and we were not able to go to stay at this result this hotel and then I just got out the hospital and was able to go back to the facility and then now it’s shut down by sled and they’re not allowing anyone to come on the property so I have no way of getting my money back or anything to talk to anyone about the problems that I had but I’m glad this is a outlet for us to be able to show and to Voice our opinions in our experience with these people.

This was one of the nastiest places I have ever been to. I was very hopeful when placing my booking due to the pictures and reviews for this place. The pictures provided are false. Upon pulling up the place was completely ran down and disgusting to say the least. The front office reaked of weed, the smell was so strong. We booked an ADA room due to me being in a wheelchair. Once we got to the room, the room reaked of wet dog and a nasty odar. The room was very nasty and dirty, dirt all over the floors and bed. The bathroom was very nasty with dirt, mold and rust. There was homeless people walking around the facility along with people blasting very loud music. This place was inhumane to stay at.

Absolutely disgusting. It’s a homeless hotel, well I don’t even think homeless people are that disgusting. Pee and boogers everywhere, weed smell, dogs barking, people really sick coughing and vomiting outside.-10/10

Only thing good about this property good is the parking and prices. The bed comforters had burn holes along with the blankets. The bed light barely worked. The roaches are horrible as hell. The chair are rusty along with the towel rack. The laundry the towels are stained with hair in them still. My bathroom still had soap paper behind the door.

This hotel has roaches from the bathroom to the room. The bed are made with ripped and burned comforters. The bathroom still has trash behind the doors. The lights over the bed doesn't work. You can tell who's housekeeping or a guest. It's so much more.

Staff was super nice. My room was comfortable and clean. It's an inexpensive hotel so expect that it lacks things like coffee makers. My only real complaint is not about the property itself it's the location. While it is convenient to get to Folly Beach and Charleston there are very limited restaurants in the immediate area even to grab something quick unless you want McDonalds which is next door. I wouldn't have used the pool but note that it is covered and not in working order. But for an inexpensive place to stay the bed was comfy the room was clean the A/C worked and I slept well. Not sure I would stay again mainly because this area is just so congested and the lack of restaurants. Everything seems to be 1/2 hour away even if it's only 5 miles. It just takes that long to get anywhere. I had a room with a microwave and refrigerator but even the closest Publix seemed to take 20 minutes to get to. There is a Piggly Wiggly next door however I am not sure it was open. Many places in this area are closed or run down.

The building is in poor shape, the second floor floor is undulating and uneven, the walkway on the upstairs rooms is not level, and some staira and the stairway were loose. All and all you get what you pay for but the staff seems to try and keep up with an aging building as best as they can

I booked a “non smoking room” and was given a room that smelled like an ashtray. AND the blanket and bedspread both had cigarette burn holes in them. I have stayed at a number of motel 6’s but this one was by far the worst. I emailed the hotel but my email was never responded to.

This place is a pit. Filthy! No alarm clock, no blow drier, no fridge, no microwave. Dirty floors. TV signal goes in and out, but mostly out. Internet connection is horrible. No amenities. Pool is permanently closed. Literally stole from me as I had paid for add’l nights and then staff conveniently couldn’t produce receipt.

By far the WORST experience i have ever had. Definitely not worth $100 a night!! Front office reeked off weed so bad i actually smelled like weed after i left. I booked this room as a last minute trip but i left instantly and booked at another location! Would not ever book this place again.

This property was absolutely disgusting. Upon arriving to the property, there was a woman screaming that her luggage had been stolen from outside of the office. Got to the room and immediately noticed large amounts of black mold on the headboard of one of the beds. There were dead cockroaches on the floor. When I left to go to the store, my son (who is autistic) stayed to take a shower. He texted me shortly after, in a panic, saying that he was locked inside of the bathroom. The bathroom door did not have a lock on either side, it was just in such poor condition that it had jammed shut. When I arrived, I notified the staff and they had to come ram the door open. I went to the office to report the mold, cockroaches, and overall horrible condition and uncleanliness of the room. The answer I got was “well, you can try to find a room elsewhere”. This is by far the worst hotel I have EVER been to. DO NOT stay here!

Smells in the reception area did not give me confidence in what my room would look like or smell like or what condition it would be in and the person who I tried to check in with gave me attitude in several occasions. I went to another hotel even though my booking was nonrefundable. You could not pay me to go back to this place.

Dirtiest room I have ever seen. Smashed bugs on the wall, roaches crawling everywhere. The sheets were dirty and covered in stains. We asked for new sheets and the hotel said they didn’t have any extra sheets for the entire hotel.

We checked out after 5 mins of checking in. There were roaches in our room, along with mold, dirty used sheets, and bad odors (just to name a Few things). Unsafe for families. Lots of prostitution going on as well as drug use/sales going on. 2nd floor is so unsafe and should be condemned floors are sagging and the walkway to the rooms are sloping and damn near falling down.

The picture on web site don't show everything but it can be cleaner when it comes to the mattress and small hair was in the tubs.. but I only stay one night but it was Great 👍 stay will come bk...

Didn’t get to stay in the room that I booked because they booked the room out from under me and didn’t cancel my reservation. Only found in when I showed up to check in and was told they had over sold their rooms.

In hindsight I should have slept in my car. This place is a dirty dump. The AC smells like black lung disease. And all the bedding smells like the last 400 occupants. Also we had the room by the office, and they never stopped banging. Never. Spend that extra cash, and run far, far away.Beware of the ones that are not refundable!

Don’t let the pictures for you this place is a dump. In fact, I got into the room and I turned around and I left. It was horrible. It had not been cleaned properly. There was no way I was staying there. There were cockroaches all over the bathroom. I understand that that’s normal for CHARLESTON. I live here, but this was bad really bad and I was just could not do it so I took the loss on the money that I paid for the room which was about 60 some dollars and decided that I wasn’t gonna do it. It’s a dump all the way around it’s a dump some shady characters around there too, so I don’t recommend this hotel to anyone at all in any way shape or form if there was a way to give it -5 stars I would. !

We could not open the door. Looked like it had been kicked in and was jammed. Doors around us were open with occupants hanging aound outside.

I read the reviews and saw one negative review. If you like being in a hood environment this is the place for you. Check-in was the only good part. It was simple and quick. The towels were dingy. There was a coffee stain on the table upon arrival. The floor was dirty like it hadn’t been mopped in days. Folks were outside hollering til the wee hours of the morning. The police were called for whatever reason (I mind my business). The shower was small. The tv didn’t work. When I called to the front desk the lady answered like she hated her job and told me most of them didn’t have signal and there was nothing she could do about it. I took pics for reference.

This hotel was filthy and not at all like the pictures. The towels were grungy gray with stains, not just a couple but all the towels. The walls had questionable stains on them. The bathroom door was water stained and split. Shower curtain full of stains. The area is not safe and the other people staying in the hotel had their clothes and valuables in shopping carts! Not a safe hotel, totally run down and filthy!

2 of the staff members were awesome but the 3rd had a terrible attitude and i didnt even do snything besides say 'hi'. The door latch doesnt shut properly, the card takes 5 times + to get into the room and its 30° outside. As soon as i heat my food up roach antenna pop out from behind the bed frame and crawl on my girlfriend.

The room does feel neglected indeed!!! It is dirty and it smells like nothing but smoke and weed up in there. Several mysterious marks, stains, dirts, and grime can be spotted throughout the “nicer” rooms— I’m afraid to see the cheaper housing. If you are reading this, I bet you would NOT have stayed in that room with your children. The walls are covered in questionable stains and the flooring is noticeably disregarded. I would not— at any cost— trust the sheets in this establishment. I was repulsed, at first glance, stepping into our assigned room after discovering their ‘no refund’ policy. I would most certainly rate 0/5 stars of I could. Unfortunately, we had to suck it up and stay there due to time constrains and their no refund policy. I DO NOT RECOMMEND, unless you are used to worse of course.

Asked for broom, mop, and linens 4 times after 1st night, speaking twice to front desk, and 4 times personally to the house keeper on duty who said she'd bring me linens, broom and mop to clean room. Never got any of it.

Economic value - know what your paying and it’s a doable option

This property falls well below expectations. There were roaches in the room, and both the original non-smoking room and the replacement room had a strong smell of cigarette smoke. The floor eas filthy. I was scared to toych anything, the furniture, surfaces, ecrrything looked gross. Since it was late, I chose to stay, but the experience was extremely disappointing. The front desk staff was also noticeably unfriendly.

The room was tiny but clean. The room smelled musty and like cigarette smoke. The shower had poor pressure and didn't drain for hours. The area is suspect at best. Amenities were lacking. Just 1 set of towels for 2 people, and same with shampoo and soap. There were also bugs. No cups or tissues and only 1 rolls of toilet paper.

The stay lasted 2hrs and I asked for a refund. There were stains all over the sheets and pillows. I killed 3 roaches within 1hr of the stay. The TV kept going out. The walls were covered in random debris. The door lock wouldn't lock and the swing lock was completely missing from the door.

We went to the front desk, and they gave us another room. It looked slightly cleaner at first, but it still had a terrible smell. When we tried to sleep, we found many bedbugs that bit us all night. The place felt very unsafe and unhygienic. We stayed in that room for about 30 minutes, trying to fall asleep, but the bedbugs kept biting us. We went back to the front desk and asked to check out and get a refund, but the staff refused to return our money and said they couldn’t help us. They also didn’t provide any documents or receipts confirming the cancellation. In the end, we had to sleep in our car the whole night, because staying in that motel was impossible and unsafe.

Check in and out was fine. However it really needs some work. Holes in the doors, lamps not working, outlets not working, homeless guy sleeping under the stairs, door locks almost coming off. Walls were dirty with stains. Bathrooms with mold and mildew. Not many amenities (no hair dryer, soap shampoo etc) it was bare bones. At least the AC worked.

There was an electrical outlet by the bed wouldn’t hold a plug there was evidence of electrical damage to all the outlets. We needed electricity for a c-pap machine and when we called the office they sent a 50 foot extension cord which wouldn’t solve the safety issues. It smelled like a musty basement, bedding was bad. We had to find another place to stay and luckily there was a Hilton Home 2 Home across the street with availability. We took photos of the issue and will dispute the charges.

We were there for an hour when we saw the first bed bug. Reported it and asked for a refund, but they stated that we had been checked in for more than 15 minutes so we were ineligible for a refund. I didn’t expect a five star hotel for the price, but bed bugs are not acceptable.

There is nothing not one thing to like about this property! Well, I can say we survived. We intentionally stayed away all day until we were so sleepy all we did was shower and go to bed. I can't believe this place is on Expedia list. Take it down now...It's NOT SAFE!!!!!

The lights in the room were not working properly, and even the door latch was broken. The room had an unpleasant smell, was dirty, and the comforter was of poor quality. Overall, I did not like the property. Although there is a swimming pool, it is in such pathetic condition that it is of no use.

This accommodations was not what i paid for was locked out of the room , key card didn't work, so was put in another room that had bugs and smell of smoke which kicked up allergies waiting for repair man to come at 8am so i could get into the room i need some kind of compensation this is so ridiculous

One of the worst rooms I've stayed in- holes in the wall, door frame completely chewed up by dogs, furniture broken, lights not working, stained sheets, outside area is pretty filthy. Luckily it quieted down after dark and I haven't seen any bugs, so that's a positive.

I booked a non smoking room.I couldn't even enter the room because it stunk so bad with cigarette smoke smell .Found that the place is. Stay lodge.Please don't go there.

Over all nasty with bugs and stains on bed and pool was green staff was not friendly at all will never never never stay there again

The room was disgusting, there were pubic hairs on the toilet seat, shower was dirty, bed was broken, tv was cracked and different colors. Smelled like fresh cigarettes and door wouldnt close properly

The room that I stayed in had roaches and small roaches crawling all around and on my bed! They did come to spray the room but it should have been done BEFORE I occupied the room and by then the room had too many bugs everywhere . What a shame!

Everything was dirty and there were cigarette ashes on the bathroom sink— I don’t think they cleaned the place beforehand.

The lady at the front desk was awesome! I screwed up the dates on my reservation & she helped me straighten it out. The hotel is old & does need some tlc. It isn’t the roomiest but served its purpose. There are a ton of places to eat nearby. It is by the freeway & you can hear everything. My neighbor’s were very loud. They were yelling at each other with kids screaming & a dog barking throughout the night. I had to turn my tv on & the volume up. There seems to be a lot of that people that may live here & were very nice people. I did see a roach but only 1. Don’t like them but grew up in a downtown neighborhood of a big city in the east so just 1 doesn’t spook me. I loved the parking right outside my door.

Disgusting room with roaches climbing everywhere. Property is under construction. Other guests were very friendly. Location of the property is convienent and walkable restaurants nearby. No wifi, no refrigerator or microwave. Just a sleep stopover if needed, walk up the street and book somewhere else.

The people were nice. The room was ok. Had no mini fridge, no microwave, no clock. There was no coffee available in the morning like was listed. Would I stay there again....only if i absolutely had to with no other choice.

Pool was dirty. No basic amenities like microwave in rooms. Place has very run down look and did not look clean. Saw few roaches. Would not recommend.

I cannot explain how disgusting this room was, from piles of dirt on the floors to dirty bedsheets to the sketchy clientele, I would NEVER recommend this place. We walked in, looked around, took pictures and then RAN out of there. It felt like I'd get bedbugs if I even touched the sheets. And there were groups of people just hanging around outside. Oh and the "pool" was disgusting dirty and covered in slime.

My bedroom looked it like roaches. Have been in there. They were killed and the floors have dark spots on it. The shower floor on the inside Of the Booth It looks disgusting it looks like somebody took a pee... My biggest question is, why is the pool out of commissit's summer time and the pool?Looks like there's brain eating bacteria in there why!?... And lastly but not least, why, in the morning, they don't have no breakfast for nobody like a little mini waffle, machine.Little bit of fruits, some coffee.No, there's none of that.It's just coffee and you're asking for $76 for one night for a space like that. If you are willing to charge $76 a night at least make the Furniture is right & the Pool is cleaned even if it is not gonna be open in the Evening's or Night ...make sure those Shower Booth floors are very Very Clean Because the sad part is if thats the case i couldve stood in the toilet & take a Shower because the toilet was more clean than the shower which is Odd ....the only thing that was okay was the bed but even the Sheets had holes in it ...Thats some Crazy work for $76 for one night😭

EVERYTHING WAS BROKEN . DIRTY. ONLY ONE SMALL MICROWAVE AND ICE MACHINE IN LOBBY. HAD TO WALK TOO FAR FOR ICE. RIP IN SHEET. NO LINEN CHANGE FOR MY 4 DAYS THERE. NO MAID SERVICE. NO CONTINENTAL BREAKFAST. EVERY HOTEL HAS SIMPLE BREAKFAST!!!! TABLE WAS COMING APART. FLOOR WAS DIRTY. BELOW STANDARDS OF HEALTH CODE!!!! I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND TO ANY GUEST!!!!

Everything looks old, sheets, pillows and towels, the room smells of cigarettes and the smell when going up to the rooms is terrible, it smells like garbage! and you see guests with speakers at the door of their rooms dancing with beer in their hands!

This property is infested with bugs of all kinds. The flooring was almost nonexistent. The bathroom was stained with some dark brown residue and the bed had stains all over it. I left in under 5 minutes of checking in and the price is non refundable. DO NOT GO HERE.

Stay away!!!

Smelled horrible like a chain smoker lived in the room for 50 years. Any of our belongings that weren’t zipped inside a suitcase smelled like cigarettes for the rest of our trip. Looks nothing like the pictures it’s a total catfish. There was fingernails clippings on the floor and a bunch of cigarette burn holes in the sheets. Lots of characters outside I did not feel safe in the parking lot.

Do yourself a favor and do NOT stay at this place. We were supposed to be there for 5 days and we left the first morning. We traveled into the area and we were seriously too tired to leave that same night but believe me we would have. This place is dirty, dirty sheets, and the room smelled.

It smelled like urine and smoke even though that was a smoke free room. The room looked dirty and nasty. That place has been the worst I have ever stayed at.

Extremely overpriced for what you get. Homeless shelters are cleaner than this "motel"

Absolutely disgusting. The door didn’t even lock properly and it was not in a safe area. The room was also so strong with the smell of cigarettes. We literally looked at the room and promptly left. Lost our money, and had to pay for another hotel, but we refused to stay there.

The room was so much more disgusting than you could imagine. There were roaches in the bathroom and very questionable stains on walls, furniture, curtains and floor. DO NOT STAY HERE.

Staff was superb! Friendly, efficient and very professional. However, this is a well worn motel catering to a very noisy and often inconsiderate group of obvious regulars who gather at all times of the day and night and shout at each other outside the rooms.

I didn't get to stay in the room I paid for because they resold it to someone else leaving me and my pregnant wife stranded late at night telling me no refund. All hotels were also full leaving us to sleep in our car. No fault to Expedia, but this hotel along with the guy working was definitely sketchy. He ended up calling the cops on us for asking him his name. The cops seemed to be well known acquaintances with this guy saying this is a common occurrence.

The TV won't even power on. And when we called the front desk, they said oh well we can refund it but didn't follow up with us on the issue like they were supposed to. 0 of 5 stars the property is run down and very outdated.

No internet the tv doesn't work

First things first! The place looks nothing like the pictures. When we pulled in strange rough looking people were outside staring us down. Once I went to check in the lady at the front desk just didn’t seem like she wanted to be there and although I booked a smoking room when I got there they said they don’t offer smoking rooms…. Getting inside the room! The sheets and blankets had stains and burn holes in it, there was black mold in the mini fridge, they hadn’t dusted in forever because cobwebs were on the ceiling, the bathroom shower was filthy, the floors were dirty, AND throughout the stay I fought roaches. The list goes on. But you get what you pay for I guess.
