We had a wonderful time staying at the Courtyard in downtown Chattanooga. It was so convenient to so many things. It looks like it has been recently renovated so that was nice. Everything was very clean. Would recommend to anyone going to Chattanooga.

The hotel was in a prime location which made getting around very easy. My wife and I enjoyed our room and the view of the aquarium. The staff upon arrival were very helpful. We arrived a few hours before our scheduled check in and they were able to get us into a room right away. We can’t wait to visit Chattanooga again and stay again.

Best location, didn't have to use the car at all hotel was so close to everything. Staff was outstanding, greeted us every time we walked by and engaged in conversation. Some work trucks came to an adjacent building at 130am. Backed up multiple times and were very loud.

My husband & I were pleasantly surprised with this friendly and helpful hotel. The staff was efficient and able to help with any questions we had. We arrived on the last day of Ironman, with bicycles taking precedence over people… it was all handled beautifully. We totally enjoyed the made-to-order breakfast menu, with a shoutout to Katie, who absolutely goes overboard to make sure everyone gets what they want! She is a gem!! Also, we spent time at the lobby bar after a day out… and Lindsey did an outstanding job of dealing with the craziness of Ironman, and still being helpful, polite, and concerned about the “regulars” coming in. She was handling more than her fair share of stress absolutely with flying colors. The desk staff was also outstanding in dealing with that busy event! We would definitely stay again at Chattanooga Marriott Courtyard.

I knew as soon as we were welcomed in we were going to have a good stay. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful, room was clean and they go above and beyond for the triathletes.

The view from our corner room was fantastic, the pool was nice too. The property is walkable to tons of restaurants and attractions. But lets talk about the BREAKFAST. Im staying here again simply for the breakfast. Got it via expedia for $6 a person, which was a deal vs what you'd pay at the property. Easily worth $20 a person. The staff was wonderful, even threw in free Starbucks with breakfast totally unprompted. This particular hotel is doing a great job.

The rooms were just okay and after a recent renovation you would expect better. The air conditioner in 2 of the 3 rooms we had booked wasn't working when we checked in. Even after dropping our luggage in the room and going out to eat for about 2-3 hours the room temp didn't move even 1 degree. When we called the desk to inform them they were clearly aware because they told us right away to unplug the unit for 3 minutes and then plug it back in. If they already know these things it's time to get them repaired especially if your charging $300 per night! The other downside was that the room tv's were completely useless even when you signed into your own account for a streaming service the WIFI was so bad that it buffered forever. If a hotel is going to be so cheap that you need to sign into your own streaming service to watch tv at night they should at least make sure that the WIFI is up to par. At this point were saving the hotel a significant amount of money not paying for cable services so if their not going to reflect that in the price for the customer then make sure it's adequate.

AC was super quiet and hotel well maintained. The only downside is we were on the street side and the cars motorcycles were so loud..... If you come here ask for the parking garage side. Great stay otherwise

However, I was very disappointed by the noise level. They were repairing something on the roof of the hotel with a giant crane right by our room starting at 7am when my family were all woken up. We had no warning by staff that this hours long repair would occur above our room as it would have impacted our hotel choice.

The location was great...convenient to all attractions. Website could have mentioned the parking pick-up/drop-off instructions. Confusing when checking out was told I had to pay, couldn't find where to pay...asked again and was told something entirely different by the same person. The parking was the least expensive $18/day. The parking garage is not clearly marked...again instructions were not clear. The breakfast was clear about what you could select from...frustrating especially when under staffed. The biggest takeaway was the unclear communication between the staff and the customers.

Our room was clean, comfortable and quiet. We only ate breakfast the one day, but, it was good & the service was also good. We did not go to the bar, but people seemed to be having fun there.

Great place other than understanding of accessibility rooms. Booked a specific type of room with bathroom bars for my spouse who has limited mobility due to Parkinson's. Online pictures were what was used to pick a room and a hotel. At check in we were told they had put us in a regular room. Staff at check in apparently did not have training on disability needs. Did attempt to get us in an accessible room but no bars by toilet and only one vertical one at tub. We just had to try hard to make that one night work...

One of the two elevators was not working, the pool was closed after the first night of our two night stay, and house keeping never came to our room. Also, be wary of street facing windows on the weekends, LOTS of street, eg hotrod/motorcycle, noise late into the night Saturday.

I called them prior asking about a crib because their website says they have them. I was told it was a crib and it was standard crib size. It was an old pack and play!! Not a crib. It had zero padding. We had to lay a bunch of blankets down for our toddler to sleep on. I wish they would put on their website it’s a pack and play. There is a huge difference between that and an actual crib.

We were accused of smoking in the room and got charged 250$ over it and we dont even smoke. There was no talking to them about it so we just ate that 250$. The maids leave the balcony doors open while they clean and the balconys are EXTREMELY close together so if someone was smoking while they were cleaning then of course they would smell it in that room even if it was someone on the floor below them smoking on the balcony. I walked back into the room before we left and it DID NOT smell like smoke whatsoever.

It took forever to get in/ out on the single working elevator. Parking is around the corner and is paid ( $18+tax), not very convenient if you are traveling with luggage

I get the price being a little higher than normal because of the location. One working elevator was a bit of a hang up then my room wasn’t cleaned after my first night so I don’t know what went wrong there. I checked out the next day so there was no need to make a big deal about it in my opinion but it may not be the case with the next person.

This was the cleanest property I have stayed in, in a long time. I always travel travel with cleaning products and disinfectant. I did not feel that I had to clean very much. I didn’t even see dust in the windows. The staff that I encountered were all nice. We didn’t eat at the property, but were glad the option to do so was there. The location is great. They is plenty to do within walking distance. We could see the Aquarium from one of our windows. My only gripe was the parking. It is not connected to the hotel. After check-in, you have to make three rights from the front of the hotel to the parking deck. It would be helpful to have a sign near the elevator that tells visitors which direction to walk back to the hotel. However, on the day of checkout, we attended market day at the Aquarium and were able to remain in the deck after check out. We could have stayed until midnight if needed. We also were automatically given a 1:00 check out and were able to check in when we arrived in time before noon. I would definitely stay again when we have more time to explore the area

The room was so nice and everyone there was super friendly. With it being on Chestnut, there was a lot of traffic noise. The indoor pool is not heated and was FREEEEEZING.

It was centrally located They put us in a handy cap room that had shower accommodations that did not meet our needs.

Our only complaint was that one of the elevators was not operational during our visit, which slowed down going to room and from room to lobby.

The staff were very nice and helpful. The room was clean and large. We picked one of the suites. The part that was not convenient was parking. It wasn’t connected to the hotel, it took forever to park. Only one elevator was working at the hotel and it was very slow. During busy times there would be a long line. We were on the seventh floor and took the stairs to avoid long waits but couldn’t always do that if we were carrying a lot. The pool is very small but great for little kids. The location is wonderful!

Access to downtown, clean, modern and good looking rooms Friday night after 10pm..other loud guess in the 2nd floor in the hallway, running, arguing, screaming and slamming doors until 2am. Staff was notified several times, This definitely affected our sleep and many other guess.

Several of the staff were super nice. Horrible value for the cost. We stood at the check in for 20 minutes with no help and even called the property for assistance. The bartender was super sweet and found someone for us after we specifically asked for help. 1 of the 2 elevators was down, we had no hot water in the room (maintenance fixed but it didnt even last for a full shower), and ice machine broken / out of order. Pull out sofa was like a brick, so bad we squeezed our youngest teen in with 2 adults on a queen. There are literally dozens of better options. Will never stay here again.

The location was perfect for what we wanted to see/do. We have stayed at Marriott courtyards before and our accommodations were every bit as we expected! The parking garage was separate so there was no direct access to the hotel from the garage. Not a game changer but one thing we noticed from some other Marriotts we have been to.

I stayed on the 7th floor and experienced constant noise throughout the night. There was intermittent banging coming from the walls, possibly due to plumbing issues. On top of that, hallway noise, doors being slammed by other guests, and loud outside noise made it nearly impossible to rest. This was by far one of the least peaceful hotel stays I’ve had.

The friendly and efficient staff both at check in and check out were wonderful. Also, the lady at Starbucks that we got breakfast from was extremely sweet and wonderful!

The staff were so nice! They told us the best place to watch the NYE fireworks and helped us with any questions we had. The breakfast vouchers that were part of our room deal were a great bargain since food was made-to-order and not a buffet. We will absolutely stay here the next time we're in town.

Additionally, the breakfast experience was extremely disappointing. The options were very limited, and we were told that we could not order more than one item. For example, we were not allowed to order both eggs and fruit at the same time; we were simply told “no” without any explanation or alternative. This felt unwelcoming and unreasonable, especially for paying guests. Overall, these issues negatively impacted our stay and did not meet the standards we expected. I hope you take this feedback seriously and consider improvements to ensure better comfort and service for future guests. I would appreciate a response regarding how this matter will be addressed.

Honest opinion: one of the best hotels I’ve stayed in for a long time. Here’s why - first, friendly staff. Helped with early check-in at 1PM after a long week of holiday travel. Second, room was clean, spacious and in great shape. Third, location is fabulous.

We enjoyed our stay. Great location, close to everything. Very disappointed that even though we stayed 3 nights we never had our room cleaned. I had to ask for clean towels. They brought the towels, left them on the counter & left. Trash was still full & old towels on the floor. For the price we paid, I expected more. Also, I underatand that breakfast is not included but complimentary coffee would not hurt your profits.

Manager was rude and dismissed me when I complained about them not calling us/letting us know our room was already ready while we were already waiting at the lobby for 40 minutes. Manager said “we just clocked in and are fully booked” no apologies no nothing, other front desk personnel just wanted me to swipe my card and didn’t want to answer to any of my inquiries. Thus with all these said events, they didn’t offer us breakfast nor pointed us to where the elevators are.

Overall a good experience. Great decor. Pros are the location and convenience to local dining and attractions which outweighed the handful of cons. The only cons was the breakfast bistro was kind of pricey for the offerings. Tasty, but pricey. The bathroom vent fan didn't work. And the ice machine on our floor was out of service. So we had to take the elevator to an adjacent floor for ice refills. But the included filtered water "Hydration Station" for refilling our tumblers was a nice touch that we enjoyed. Also the TV was aggravating. We usually just bring our Firestick when we travel and the TV was locked out so you couldn't access the other input channels. So we were left with the slow clumsy hotel OS and access to only cable, Netflix, and YouTube.

You are not Motel 6. Do better with your housekeeping policy.

The room does not look exactly like the advertising tha was shown during time of booking, which caused me and my girlfriend to be stressed out due to the noise heard from other guests indulging in alcoholic beverages.

Our stay was great and we enjoyed the hotel friendly atmosphere. The hotel was very clean and quiet. The staff was very friendly. We ended up with a handicap room and couldn’t change it because there was no vacancy. The door was hard to open. The bed was very low and we just made the best of it. It was a short getaway from Atlanta.

We stayed at the Courtyard Marriott in Chattanooga for a quick end-of-summer trip and had a wonderful experience. The staff was friendly and helpful, our room was ready on arrival and very spacious, and they had a pack and play waiting for our baby just as we had requested. The location was perfect—especially convenient for our visit to the aquarium. Overall, it was an easy, comfortable stay and exactly what we needed.

Visiting the Tennessee Aquarium. This hotel is just across the street from it. Lots of diverse dining. Close to the river and other attractions.

The lady at check in could have made the process a little easier. She made a big deal out of explaining the parking situation, and kept asking for my parking ticket when another person at the counter said it was not necessary.

The corner room was spacious & clean. The front desk attendant was very friendly and helpful. We were on the second level. The street noise was very loud all night. The scenic view expected wasn't there. I should have asked for a higher floor when booking. Overall good experience and would stay here again, but ask for a room with a better view and not so close to the street level.

I don't use a wheelchair, but I do need shower accommodations. Many hotels are subpar. Your shower and shower seat were excellent, except that I would have preferred a "handheld" shower head that I could have adjusted the positioning on in order to use it hands free. As for the rest of the room, the bed was a little low -- that makes it harder to get out of. And I would have liked a bigger frig and a microwave. The location of both the hotel and the room within the hotel were excellent. The parking situation was awkward but understandable. Overall, I'd be happy to stay there again.

Overall a great stay. Everything is very new and modern. The staff were very nice and the location is perfect for walking around the city. My only issue was that parking felt like a scam. Almost $20 a day for an open access public parking garage that can get very full on the weekends. We struggled to find a spot sometimes.

It was a good stay but not an amazing stay. I did appreciate that there was a designated garage to park which wasn’t far away. However, the young lady who worked the front desk upon our evening arrival on Saturday, July 19 was too “casual” with me. She was addressing me as “girl” over and over , feeling so comfortable as if we are friends and I too am a guest just like the white patrons who were there. I didn’t hear her addressing them as “hey girl… yeah girl… what you need girl…”. I mean she used it as if it was punctuation! I had a friend on the phone and they commented “I thought that was someone you knew. No, it is the front desk worker who feels because we share the same skin color she can throw urban pleasantries at me. I may have let one slide but she said it no less than 10-15 times during my stay as I saw her the last day of check out as well (Monday morning July 21). So just remind your staff to treat everyone with professional discourse.

Really nice room. Bartender was outstanding !!

It was fine. The breakfast situation was a joke. Not enough people working and the prices were so high you knew you were getting ripped off. Same thing for the bar. 8 dollars for a domestic beer?

Clean and comfortable room, breakfast accommodations were well above average for the price of range, would definitely stay here again!

Perfect localization, very nice hotel!

It was right in downtown town, great walking distance to restaurants and the aquarium in next door. It only 15 minutes to Rock city and Ruby falls which is great!

I liked the access to downtown - easy walking distance to attractions. Parking was a bit of a killjoy and staff was underwhelming and the pool was slimy. Had an issue w remote and they came and checked it- noted it was under responsive then said to call if it didn’t work. None of this changed our overall opinion- great location and we got what we needed out of it.

I didn't like that the parking was limited to a parking garage to either pay through hotel at a rate to be able to come and go or pay at garage which would be quite costly if we chose to move the car and repair for each night. Since we were only staying a night we chose the hotel pay option but still caught off guard by that.

The TV didn’t work, but otherwise, it was great.

The lady at checkin (short, long blonde hair, Southern accent) was just amazing. So friendly and helpful. She actually came to my room and helped get me on the internet.

They never cleaned our room. Other than that it was fine.

Accessible to all attractions, restaurants, bars ect downtown, very safe and clean area, able to walk day or night to any activity or restaurants, fresh cooked breakfast and a full bar in the evening

Very friendly and helpful asst manager who checked us in-Clean and quiet--The only negatives are no bereakfast except cold preprepared food and no microwaves in the rooms.

Parking was conviently close and price was very affordable

Great location, clean room. Staff was very friendly and welcoming. Only 2 items that could be improved: elevator sounded a bit rust, fan in bathroom didn’t work. These were minor things and would definitely return. Can’t beat the location.

This hotel is very close to the aquarium and is a great price. It was quiet and comfortable. The shower is very spacious and everything is clean.

Liked convenience, did not like no microwave in the room.

The woman at check in was so friendly and welcoming, and the women working in the coffee shop at breakfast were also really genuine and lovely. Great, friendly staff all around.

Great room w/balcony overlooking the river & Aquarium. Very comfortable. Staff was friendly & helpful. Area is full of things for tourists to do, unfortunately we were only stopping over to break up a long drive to Savannah. Parking garage could be easier to access.

The hotel was nice and clean. We could tell it was newly renovated. I found the bed very comfortable but my wife did not. Our only complaint was that the Bistro was not open in the evening.

Helpful staff, excellent location downtown, comfortable room. I wish parking was more evident when I first checked in. I parked in a city lot across the street only to find they have parking - it's just not well marked.

Super conveniently located to the Tennessee Aquarium and dining options on Broad St. Check in was easy and parking was very easy.

Location for Chattanooga Aquarium is great, room was clean, spacious, & comfortable with updated bathroom but coffee provided in room was not good & there was no hair dryer provided. Hotel service was courteous, very good.

This property is always a pleasure & rises to the occasion. We stayed here for the Ironman & they were well prepared for it in every way.
