Reviews
Guests generally express satisfaction with the hotel's cleanliness, location, and staff friendliness. The proximity to downtown and various attractions is highly appreciated. However, some guests have issues with parking availability and fees, room cleaning services, and breakfast quality.
- Convenient location near downtown and attractions
- Friendly and helpful staff
- Limited parking availability and high fees
- Inconsistent room cleaning services

Great place for families. The heated indoor/outdoor pool was wonderful, and the location is right across from the kids' museum and right down the street from the aquarium. Good breakfasts. The staff was very friendly and helpful.
- 5/5
We traveled with a toddler and the location was convenient to local restaurants, the Tennessee Aquarium and the river front. We were able to walk to everything and able to enjoy the local craft fair. We will definitely make another trip.
- 5/5
Very well organized, clean rooms , the pool was very clean. Walking distance to several attractions. Breakfast had several things to choose from , and the area was very clean .

Very clean and close to important attractions. I really enjoyed the stay

Great location. Easy walk to all the restaurants and activities. The hotel’s breakfast was hot, fresh and good. Very clean! Our 5yr old loved having the indoor/outdoor pool to swim in. Very friendly staff, we enjoyed our stay.

We enjoyed our stay at Hampton Inn. The facilities were very clean, rooms were spacious and essentials were provided, and the beds were comfortable. Location is within walking distance to so many activities and restaurants. We liked the gated, covered parking but felt it should have been included for free.

Our room was very clean. The staff were wonderful and very helpful. Breakfast was amazing. My kids absolutely loved the pool. I personally love the fact that the pool is warm and not freezing cold! This was a A+ stay and hopefully we will be back to visit in the future!

We booked for 5 people in 1 room but didn’t have extra linen in the room to make up the pull out couch. We asked twice with no service and I ended up having to fetch the extra linen myself. We didn’t have enough towels for the 5 of us and the garbage cans were never emptied during our 4 night stay. The hotel itself was fine and staff were friendly but housekeeping seems to lag behind.

My only suggestion would be to add more hooks in the b/room. With three people in the room, lots of towels and only one hook and one bar. Didn't quite work for us.

The elevator was so horrible it took forever literally had to take the steps about five times during my state to the fourth floor back to back. One elevator did not work and the elevator wait time was so long.

Location was very central and walkable to everything, room design and sq ft was more than ample, pool was great as well as the fire pit. Inside bar was a bit pricy but affordable. Paid for parking all weekend came back from a work appointment Saturday night lots were full credited for a night's parking but had to pay for more in other lot. Breakfast was supposed to be open until 10am, closed at 9:30 Sunday morning, but we found a great breakfast spot around the corner. Balcony rooms are very loud at night; hotel is downtown on a main road so truck traffic carries on all night long. Suggest getting an interior room not streetside.
- 5/5
When we first got there we honestly enjoyed what we saw we came for the pool for my sons birthday. The pool was beautiful the outside area has an amazing fireplace and a fountain it has many shoting streams and a waterfall its heated. We ended up there on a chiller day out luck and it was still to cold for me but my son loved it and the room was awsoml
- 5/5
The room was clean and the staff very friendly
- 5/5
Room was spacious with a nice chaise at the foot of the bed for sitting. Looks new or newly renovated. Will stay there again.
- 5/5
Walking distance to downtown shops and restaurants. Clean with friendly staff. Cookies and pool are a bonus.
- 5/5
The property was close to everything. The breakfast was nice, rooms were nice, the staff were nice! I have no complaints!
- 5/5
Clean room, spacious room since we did the suite. I just wished we had more storage space for clothes but we used the bar where the microwave was for our clothes and made it work for us . Friendly staff. Would stay there again! Easy walk to Aquarium and children’s museum.
- 5/5
This is a place that you can't help but like nothing to say
- 4.5/5
Great location, delicious breakfast, nice rooms
- 5/5
The staff was AMAZING and very professional. The facility was very clean and all the staff was polite and courteous, The breakfast was really good and the hotel was located in a very good place where there was really nice restaurants inn walking distance. I give them a 5 STAR! Nothing at all. There were NO complaints.
- 5/5
All good.
- 4.5/5
The front desk was fantastic and made our stay wonderful. Mark, in particular, was very kind and attentive and friendly. The rooms were clean and comfortable , kids loved the pool and the bar looked great. Good breakfast and coffee all day The water pressure was very weak. Very few towels available at the pool area.
- 5/5
The staff was amazing Check in time is late (4pm) and check out too early (11 am)
- 5/5
Everything was great, cleanest room, the food wa ok, close to the aquarium and restaurant
- 4/5
Everything! N/A
- 5/5
Was very clean, close to everything downtown and super friendly staff
- 5/5
Very clean rooms.
- 4.5/5
The property was amazing right downtown close to everything you can basically walk so that was a big pointer for me and my mother and two kids One thing was, you can hear nothing but traffic at night and when we started to check in, it was a little after four and they said that our room was not ready along. Let me remind you with my elderly mother and two kids that I had we were all tired ready to check in and they told us it would be another 10 to 15 minutes. No biggie but it should have been ready by the time we got there.
- 5/5
Not sure if it’s kid friendly or not?
- 4/5
Clean room, beautiful pool and outdoor area.
- 4/5
The traffic noise in the morning was loud in the room we had that faced the street
- 5/5
Parking was easy unusual for a city center.
- 5/5
Rooms were huge and clean. The pool was amazing and the breakfast was very good as well. Great location 0 complaints!
- 5/5
Nice rooms, very clean all the way around. Great location, can walk pretty much anywhere you need to go. Nice heated pool the kids loved.
- 5/5
Great location, walking distance to a lot of places. Staff is super helpfull
- 5/5
Great location and clean rooms.
- 3.5/5
The room was not quite as clean as I would have preferred based on the price (hair in the tub and sink, dust, a hair and and some dental floss on the floor under the table).
- 5/5
Nothing! It was great.
- 4/5
The pool was very nice and unique, heated and half of the pool continued indoors. The beds weren’t comfy, they were very stiff. The towels were tiny and very rough on the skin. We experienced a late check in, it was at 4pm and when we arrived on time they said our room wasn’t ready and turned out not to be ready until 530pm…
- 5/5
Everything was great, from the room to the breakfast to the heated pool!
- 5/5
Great location. Clean room.
- 5/5
Everything was perfect.
- 4.5/5
Location to everything
- 5/5
Rooms were clean and nice but could use more plugs or jacks for charging multiple devices.
- 5/5
Love it
- 5/5
Very nice once remodel done, better.
- 2/5
I found dirty folded up towels which made me question the cleanliness of the room. Since I was only staying one night, we just accepted the state of the room and didn't stay in it longer than we needed to. Positives for the hotel was location - close to a lot of attractions. Next time, I will pick another downtown hotel.
- 4/5
The location was fantastic! The room was clean. Negative was we could here everything that was happening in the hall and as we walked down the hall we could here inside the other rooms.
- 4/5
Staff was kind. Food was good. Rooms were clean. We enjoyed standing outside in front of the fire.
- 1/5
Bad surprises! They will add $18 per day to your bill for parking with no mention of this upon check in out from the booking website. Very non transparent. Lobby under construction and no mention of this either! Breakfast served in the lobby construction zone, full of dust. Manager very unprofessional and unwilling to rectify issues with ease. BOTTOM LINE: there are many hotels in the area... give your hard earned money to a different company.
- 4/5
Everyone was kind and very helpful.
- 5/5
staff was friendly and curt
- 3/5
Room was good. Staff did not seem like they wanted to be there. Had to wait for someone to show up at the front desk when we were checking in and out. Parking is weird and we didn't see an easy way to get from your car back into the hotel, had to carry our bags up 2 flights of stairs.
- 0.5/5
Nothing Under renovation charged me a 126$ fee and will not answer the phone to tell me for what. Horrible parking and very rude front desk people the water in the shower was Luke warm and never got hotter no matter when you tried to shower
- 5/5
We enjoyed the hospitality It would be nice if you're bar stayed open later! But it's a great place to stay!
- 4.5/5
Chip at the fromt desk was especially helpful and pleasant with information and suggestions.
- 3/5
Room was nice. Clean and neat. Other amenities are not available due to remodeling - not disclosed when booked on Travelocity. The hot breakfast was complimentary but very limited.
- 4/5
Room was clean and liked that you were able to log in to Netflix on the TV.
- 1/5
Breakfast was served on the second floor. Had to go down to the first floor for coffee. Construction was going on in the lobby with a lot of noise. Was not made aware of this when room was booked.Parking was limited. Room was too small. Was upgraded to a larger space at no charge. Will not stay here again. Would have never thought the Hampton would be this way. We were so disappointed that we didn't stay for the second night 😞.
- 5/5
The hotel is very clean. The staff is very very kind and helpful! It’s convenient to all the fun we had planned and great restaurants around.
- 5/5
Clean rooms and hotel. The staff were so so friendly and helpful! Our only complaint is that the parking fee per night is not listed on any third party websites. We loved our stay with this hotel and will book again with them.
- 2/5
Major construction at this facility. They should’ve just shut the whole place down, done the construction and then open back up. There was only one elevator working. Not enough room for everybody to eat breakfast. The construction workers were working in front of the working elevator at one point.
- 1/5
The entire lobby was under construction and Expedia failed to mention this when booking. The lobby was nonexistent because it was surrounded with wall to floor tarps and loud jack hammers. There was a make shift desk to check in, but you couldn’t even hear the person. I would have appreciated being informed of the construction and that I wouldn’t be able to use the first floor of the hotel, when making my decision on places to stay.
- 1/5
Couldn't accommodate parking Had to go to new hotel
- 3/5
Hotel was going under construction and only One elevator was working
- 5/5
Everything' was fine
- 4/5
The street outside was loud at night. Unable to lock balcony door.
- 1/5
We were informed the morning of check in that they were remodeling and the lobby was closed and the breakfast bar was very limited. Noisy, dusty and loud. If we had know this sooner we would have found somewhere else to stay.
- 4/5
The lobby is under renovations. There was only one elevator working and it took forever to get to my room. Front desk staff was not friendly and seemed annoyed to do their job. Marijuana odor was often smelled in the hallway. The room itself was great.
- 4/5
Lobby was being demolished and renovated. No bar. We should have been notified prior and i would have orher arrangements
- 5/5
Nice room
- 3/5
Construction going on at the hotel currently. Check in was a bit of a mess in the area they have it setup & it seems that the front service people aren't happy about the way it is set up.
- 5/5
yes
- 3/5
The room was great. The building is being renovated and the parking deck is not really equipt for larger vehicles.
- 1/5
The hotel manager failed to inform us that there would be construction until the morning before check-in. The check-in process was terrible. Parking was also very chaotic.
- 5/5
Room was great staff was helpful and the pool was warm. Best coffee I've ever had.
- 5/5
Spacious, clean room. Fabulous hot breakfast! Central to everything. Great staff!
- 5/5
Friendly staff, clean and spacious room, comfortable beds, and great location.
- 5/5
Wonderful and convenient
- 5/5
Great room. Comfy beds.
- 5/5
Our stay at this hotel was an unexpected one as we had a family member admitted to the nearby hospital, but our experience here made the worst case scenario into the best possible! The hotel was very clean and had lots to offer from their wonderful breakfast to their pool and fire pits. I want to point out specifically the host named Angela- she was exceptional at making us feel right at home and accommodated us without hesitation when we had unknowns in our travel stay. She, without a doubt, is such a valuable asset to the hotel, and in my opinion, deserves a raise!! The bartender last Monday night (sorry, didn’t catch his name) was very personable as well and another wonderful asset. Overall, this stay was top notch and I hope to get the chance to stay here again in the future just because of how much of a wonderful experience they made our unexpected stay!
- 5/5
Perfect hotel in downtown Chattanooga! Easy to walk everywhere, tons of great restaurants and activities!
- 5/5
Amazing
- 5/5
Heated pool, outdoor fireplace, firepit
- 5/5
Everything was great except poor lighting in room.
- 5/5
The pool was great and the atmosphere so fun. It was the perfect temp, clean and the fire pits around the pool area were great.
- 5/5
Convenient location in heart of downtown Chattanooga, the room was very clean with no issues, guest parking lot is adjacent to the building, last but least - the receptionists, both Aidan and Angela, were pleasant to talk to, very welcoming, helpful and friendly.
- 5/5
Everything was wonderful!
- 3/5
Parking is terrible. Check in was subpar at best. Given option of picking room prior to check in choose room and gave info to get parking but on day of could not complete in app given different room had terrible view and connecting room door room subpar
- 5/5
Excellent stay, beautiful, comfortable room, great continental breakfast, staff was very pleasant, and the pool area is an oasis in the middle of Downtown Chattanooga, it is a nice relaxing space with plants, a fire place, seating area, waterfall, and the water is heated! We will definitely be back!
- 4/5
Breakfast was great. Nice little pool area
- 4/5
Great location. Our room was clean and comfy, but seemed a little dark with the blinds closed. (only a problem when we were showering and dressing). Our keys kept locking us out - which was frustrating. BUT, parking was convenient and breakfast was great! We even had fresh flowers on our table!
- 5/5
Nice hotel, good breakfast. In town. The only problem we had were lumpy pillows- just in terrible condition. Everything else was good.
- 5/5
Very nice property with wonderful staff, great breakfast and ideal location! Highly recommend!
- 5/5
My sister and I stayed at the hotel for two nights to go to local attractions. The hotel was very clean as were the pool and the gym. Our room was perfect. The breakfast buffet had a great selection of items and the staff(Mercedes and Flora} were very attentive of the guests during breakfast time. The staff at the front desk were friendly and cordial as well. I would totally recommend and would go back and stay at this hotel. Loved it!
- 5/5
Clean rooms nice staff good breakfast
- 5/5
We had a very nice stay at the Hampton Inn & Suites. The hotel was quiet and our room was spacious and very clean. The beds were comfortable and the buffet breakfast was delicious and plentiful.
- 3/5
He went out of his way to help couldn't ask for better help. The beds were really hard and on a very high bedframe. Not great for a disabled person.
- 5/5
We really liked the property and the staff. Breakfast was tasty. The parking was $18/ nite and is pretty standard in the city. On the weekends it may be harder to get a spot if you come in late. Dog care was a flat $75 but we stayed 4 nites so we rationalized it as per nite. The only part that annoyed us was that for this price the facility had no pet relief area or any dog bag supplies. In fact there was no grass on the entire block. We had to cross the street and use doubletree hotel facilities. If you want to charge for pet care, you should provide some minimal dog amenities
- 5/5
Great place to stay! Located near the baseball stadium (at least till they move) and walking distance to most of the shops in town. The hotel was reasonably priced and very comfortable with friendly staff. Would definitely stay again!
- 5/5
The guys at the front desk was a highlight to our stay. Their friendliness was just what we needed.
- 5/5
Friendly staff. Clean room. On-site parking.
- 5/5
Employees were very helpful great stay.
- 5/5
The hotel was conveniently located in the middle of the places I wanted to visit while in town. It was clean and the staff were friendly. My only complaint was that the parking spots fill up quickly. The highlight of my stay was the front desk attendant. He answered my many questions with a smile and knew my name by the end of my second day there. Thanks Azlan!
- 5/5
- 4/5
Overall was a nice stay for us. Booked a suite to have extra room since we were traveling with 3 kiddos under 4 (one needing a pack & play at night). Loved how close it was to the children’s museum and the aquarium which were our main reasons for the trip. Had a hiccup with requesting late check-out, thankfully I checked with the front desk before leaving that morning and caught the mix-up as the person I had spoken to on the phone never wrote our name down. The parking garage is TIGHT. But the pool and breakfast for nice conveniences with having kids.
- 5/5
The room was very nice and roomy, the king suite. It was also mice having a balcony! The staff were very friendly and helpful. Lots of great places to eat around the hotel.
- 4/5
Unfortunately, one of the elevators was unavailable the entire weekend. Sadly this was outside of management control but it has a definite impact on guest satisfaction.
- 5/5
I enjoyed the pool the most. Breakfast is perfect too.
- 5/5
Check inn was easy and painless, as was checkout. The hotel is clean, good amenities, very nice breakfast. Location is excellent. The only negative is minimal on site parking.
- 4/5
1 of 2 elevators didn't work-seems very dangerous especially for handicapped person like me put on 5th floor! Asked front desk person why & when & said don't know😳
- 4/5
Front desk not clear on attached parking and had to swing around another block and lug suitcases from garage down stairs with kids. Traffic noise loud at night. Otherwise kids loved pool and rooms nice.
- 4/5
It was a wonderful stay. Very clean and comfy. Bartender Ashlee was super friendly and helpful! Only improvement I’d make is to add the Prime app as a choice on the TV.
- 4/5
Great place to stay, room was clean, and staff was friendly! The only downside was we had to ask for towels and wash cloths daily for a family of four! Overall stay was great!
- 3/5
The street noise is unbearable at night. There apparently are lots of loud mufflers in Chattanooga and motorcycles speeding down the streets. It would help them to install higher rated STC sound windows. The fan on constant did not even drown it out. There was also a loud banging noise inside the building 5-6 times throughout the night that sounded like carts or luggage trolleys being run into the walls. It is a nice building in a nice location, but not if you need to sleep.
- 5/5
Thank you for a great stay!
- 5/5
The staffs were wonderful and the pool was a hit with my kids!
- 5/5
Wonderful staff…friendly, attentive and a manager that went above and beyond upon our arrival! Room was clean and extremely roomy. Beds were comfortable. The hotel offered games to use at the front desk. We borrowed a deck of cards to use while it rained. Breakfast came with the room but we did not eat breakfast at the hotel. However, it did look and smell delicious. The hotel was within walking distance to all the downtown Chattanooga attractions and restaurants.
- 5/5
Very clean and roomy!
- 5/5
Only issue was limited parking space but there were some temporary spaces open late at night. Hotel was in good condition and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Conveniently located to restaurants downtown and a quick ride to the hospital. Loved the pool and the bar.
- 5/5
The room was perfect and the pool was a hit with the kids!!
- 5/5
Super friendly check in. Room was adequate. Beds not so comfy. Pool was really nice and great for kids.
- 4/5
Made reservations with Expedia for 2 queen beds but was put in a room with a king bed. Why without being notified. It makes me question if I should reserve through Expedia if I am not going to get what I reserved. The property was ok. I fault Expedia for this error.
- 5/5
Clean room and good location
- 5/5
Excellent at the front desk. Couldn’t ask for anything more. Even the help in the breakfast section was outstanding. The breakfast was very nice.
- 3/5
We stayed in Room 207 on May 24th and 25th. When we arrived there was an open and empty water bottle on the floor by the bed. The shower leaked water and so we had to make sure there were towels on the floor. Other than that we appreciated the non-carpeted floors, the friendly staff, and the fresh coffee.
- 3/5
The property was nice enough. My main complaint was that there was very little light available in the room. I was unable to read at night.
- 4/5
It was our wedding anniversary and the beverages behind the bar (wine) were off limits since it was Sunday. Had to go out to pick some up.
- 4/5
Disappointed that I was not told about the additional parking fee per day
- 4/5
We reserved 3 rooms (2 accessible) for 2 nights. The lighting in all of the rooms was not sufficient. The 2 of the 3 remote contolled window blinds in the accessible suite were inoperable, limiting the light in the room even more. The garage parking, fruebdly/helpful staff, breakfast, and walkable location to points of interest & dining was fabulous.
- 5/5
AMAZING!! Beautifully decorated, spacious room. Professional staff. Delicious breakfast. Awesome pool for my granddaughters. The early checkin was extremely helpful. We were out of town visitors that came to Chattanooga for a play at 2:00. Early check in really helped us get ready for the play. I was truly amazed at the beauty of downtown Chattanooga. We will be returning. Thanks
- 5/5
Staff was great. Room was clean and had everything we needed. Pool area was nice. Area was perfect and walkable. Breakfast was good.
- 5/5
Great location and facility
- 5/5
very centrally located ; pool was perfect for my 8 year old!
- 5/5
Clean . Good location.
- 5/5
I love staying here has an outdoor indoor pool. We had great service. We love the breakfast, the coffee bar, and the happy hour.
- 5/5
Quiet even though it is downtown. Rooms were clean. Free breakfast. Loved the indoor and outdoor pool option-heated too!
- 5/5
Loved it!
- 5/5
This was a great place to stay. If we need to return to Chattanooga we will be coming back here
- 4/5
House keeping did not clean our room even after requested with cleaning crew.
- 5/5
kgck,
- 4/5
It was a bit noisy, and why did we get the Handicapped room?
- 4/5
Only stayed one night for the Erlanger marathon. Next time we will bring swim suits!
- 5/5
Almost perfect! We were on the street side and could hear traffic noise. Room was clean and spacious. Breakfast was great! Will definitely stay here again.
- 5/5
Awesome heated pool and good breakfast
- 5/5
The check in , and out , super easy and fast
- 5/5
convenient check in and loved the modern amenities.
- 5/5
Good location, nice breakfast. Clean room with a nice shower.
- 3/5
The suite was really great, but the blinds did not work at all and the suite did not have enough light.
- 4/5
The hotel, itself, is excellent. We've stayed there before. It's our go-to place in Chattanooga. Unfortunately, our stay was cut short by a fall my wife took while walking to dinner. We spent the first night in the ER, and left the next afternoon. So it wasn't a great stay, but certainly not the fault of the hotel.
- 4/5
It was very walkable to get to restaurants and to the Tennessee Aquarium. You need to pay for parking which I think it should be “FREE” because you pay so much in taxes to be downtown.
- 5/5
Great hotel & staff. Nice clean comfortable room.
- 5/5
Beautiful room and clean. The service was great!
- 5/5
It was a fun place
- 3/5
Breakfast was mid
- 5/5
One of our favorite places to stay in Chattanooga. Central to everything! Fabulous breakfast and 100% sanitation rating. Quiet rooms, amazing indoor outdoor pool, beautifully decorated for the holidays. We love the staff!
- 4/5
Hotel is ok overall parking is terrible and there was no working bar which was one of primary reasons we chose it!
- 5/5
A friendly staff, a safe place, very good everything in the same way a good breakfast.
- 4/5
ANd the bed was too high.
- 5/5
Excellent location. Very clean and friendly.
- 2/5
We arrived to a king bed. We needed a double for our daughter. Front desk wouldn’t even attempt to help us!!!
- 5/5
We didn’t know what to expect, so we were pleasantly surprised how nice the property was & the surrounding area. We felt very safe walking around downtown and trying different restaurants. We’ll definitely return.

WiFi was down, so checking in was horrible. Also couldn’t watch anything on tv due to WiFi not working.

Location was great. Parking wasn’t a problem. Breakfast wasn’t great. Water didn’t get that hot for the shower. Elevators were slow and one didn’t work fully

Property in great location to the Tennessee River. Would definitely stay here again. Pet friendly which is why we chose to stay here. Staff was very friendly / answered questions/ even gave us options for pet friendly restaurants.

Our son also loved the pool, and he spent a lot of time swimming during the day and at night. Karen at the front desk was very helpful.

We love Hampton Inns. Unfortunately, this property was our least favorite. We couldn’t get our room serviced for over 4 days. The front desk hotel staff were intermittent in the welcoming customer service we usually experience. The day team was friendly but the evening/overnight team seemed miserable and gave that level of service. We were given a handicap room on the 2nd floor. It had a connecting door to another room. It was extremely loud and uncomfortable. The pillows were awful. On a positive note, the breakfasts were some of the best we’ve experienced at a Hampton Inn.

The room was ok not nice for the price we paid. The couch had spots on it, and the mini refrigerator was dirty. Parking was horrible!!

3rd trip, great location, pool was good this time, reported trouble with squeeky bed and frig didn't work, finally replaced since I brought petishables for kids. Water pressure in sink was awful. Shower iok. Front desk wasn't friendly. Had to ask for copy of bill. Would stay again and check out things sooner.

The staff, the bartender, the amenities, the room, everything was top notch. You can’t beat the location and the kids absolutely loved the pool. We will most definitely stay here again.

Great central location, nice room, we had a great stay.

We have stayed many times at this Hampton Inn and it never disappoints. Great location - walkable to many restaurants and things to do. The room is comfortable, very nice, and roomy. The breakfast is always delicious and plentiful, with lots of choices. They even keep it open past 10am to give everyone a chance to finish eating. The pool area is beautiful! You will love it!!!

Fantastic. Very nice place to stay as traveling theough area. Good eating options within a city block or so of location and appeared to be very conveniently located to activities (museum, ballpark, etc.). Will certainly stay here again when stopping in the area.

We stayed one night to visit the aquarium and zoo. It was a great location and nice room. Breakfast was a normal hotel breakfast. It was good but nothing to brag about. I would definitely stay again!

Our room was very clean and the hotel was walking distance to so many things. The staff were also very friendly and accommodating.

Everything was great except for the breakfast....egg pancakes with cheese? Only meat choice was kielbasa slices. Lots of bread, though.
