Reviews
The hotel is generally praised for its cleanliness, friendly and helpful staff, and convenient location. However, there are recurring complaints about valet parking, with guests finding it inconvenient, expensive, and sometimes inefficient. Some guests also express dissatisfaction with the breakfast provided.

Most things at this hotel were just as expected. Nothing fantastic, nothing horrible. The best thing about the hotel was that the room was quiet. No electronic buzzing, and nice thick walls. The location is convenient if you want to park and not drive during your stay.
- 2.5/5
The location was great The AC vent lines were condensing over the breakfast area and dripping on the tables/food. The Valet staff were incredibly rude!
- 4.5/5
The hotel is clean and tidy. The staff is kind and smiling. They came to clean the room every day. And the location is excellent. I didn't like the breakfast. No vegetables at all, bread not fresh, no normal coffee, in short, there is a lot to improve. We ate there the first day and didn't go the rest of the days.
- 4.5/5
Within walking distance of everything downtown which was ideal for our weekend getaway Everything was great

The room was okay. Beds comfortable, but the bathroom had seen better days with peeling wallpaper and lots of wear.

Very good

Parking was 2 different prices depending which QR code you scanned on the lot next to the hotel. Downtown was very safe and clean. Very surprising and impressive.
- 3.5/5
I don't like that u don't have a parking lot that u don't have to pay for. A free parking lot.
- 4.5/5
Great location and friendly staff Breakfast was way overpriced!

The staff was very helpful and caring. The room was immaculate. We didn't go for the in house breakfast or bar because the downtown area had sufficient places for our hunger and thirst needs.

Downtown. Met our need to be close enough to walk to dining, etc. Clean rooms and good beds
- 5/5
We arrived late and were very cranky. I believe the young lady behind the counter was Alexis. She was absolutely incredible and patient. There was trouble with the system checking us in and she made sure we got to our room anyway. She also recommended us to go to a bar, sing it or wing it. We had so much fun and met the Chattanooga lookout baseball team! We’re from Canada and that was by far the best night we had in the USA! We will definitely come back to Chattanooga and stay at this hotel. The location was perfect and the staff were amazing. Even the next day, There were three or four staff members we interacted with, and they were very pleasant and helpful. I highly recommend getting the breakfast included.
- 5/5
Great location and lots to do with children nearby like the aquarium, kids museum, pinpall arcade and riverfront park. Many restaurants close by. Valet staff made parking super easy. Room was comfortable and clean. I was pleasantly surprised and would stay again.
- 5/5
Good stay and helpful staff.
- 3/5
Breakfast and parking were not included. Breakfast buffet was $20 per person and basically the same as most included continental breakfasts. Only parking on site is $25 valet.

Well, first reason I'm giving a 3 star is there is a Valet charge to park in the hotel garage, $25 a night, I felt blindsided by this. You can park on the street and risk getting your vehicle broken into. 2nd reason the "breakfast" is not free its $20 a person and not worth it!
- 4/5
Very good
- 4.5/5
The property was clean. And the staff was friendly and helpful. Parking was hard to figure out.

The pool was closed and the website I used didnt say anything about a deposit. I found out when I got there to check in that I had to pay a $75.00 deposit. They said it was refundable but I have yet to get it back.
- 3.5/5
I liked the location. Downtown Chattanooga is beautiful. The pool was closed and the website I used didnt say anything about a deposit. I found out when I got there to check in that I had to pay a $75.00 deposit. They said it was refundable but I have yet to get it back.
- 4/5
Staff was mostly friendly, enjoyed valet parking, the rooms were super clean, our floor was a bit noisy and the pool was closed but otherwise everything was good
- 5/5
Perfect walking distance
- 2/5
Very convenient location to downtown. This property is advertised as having a breakfast buffet, but it is not the complimentary breakfast offered by most hotels - it will run you about $20/person. I specifically booked for the indoor pool, but did not find out until check-in that the pool was closed. Was a bit disappointed overall.
- 3/5
The tub was clogged up when the shower is ran.
- 5/5
10/10 spot. Within walking distant of plenty of restaurants. Room was very clean. Great experience. Will be back.
- 5/5
The restaurant for breakfast was fantastic.
- 0.5/5
Nothing Rude. Lies. Doesn’t return deposit
- 0.5/5
I was not notified that my room was cancelled until after making a 2 hour drive to Chattanooga. I had to rebook at a different hotel while standing in the lobby.
- 4/5
I did not like that the pool was under construction and also that parking is not included in hotel stay.
- 4/5
Great staff. Spacious clean room. Great location. No room service. Not a great view. Would stay again tho.
- 4/5
I like that it was right in down town and close to everything in walking distance, the room was clean and comfortable I didn't like i got this room for the indoor pool but we get there and its under repair, also didn't like getting charged an extra 75 dollars upon arriving after booking claimed what I booked yhe room for was the total price not thrilled with having to pay 15 a person for breakfast there so of course we ate elsewhere
- 1/5
Musky smell and pool not available as advertised
- 5/5
We loved our experience. It was new years eve and the venue was very close to the new year eves activities Not apply
- 4/5

Clean comfortable safe / valet parking only Breakfast is extra / either $14 or $20 extra We paid $20 / some people eating with us told us they received complimentary breakfast Valet parking was nice but also $25 extra
- 4.5/5
Too damn costly. And parking extra. Would like to stay more often. But, won’t eat this price. Price
- 5/5
Bed was great, room was very clean, great customer service from the desk
- 4.5/5
It’s a great location I expected them to offer free breakfast. Valet is really the only good option for parking
- 3.5/5
Close to ballpark Musty air conditioner. Mold in shower. Blinking light bulbs. Smell of bad cleaning materials. Parking meters and horrible parking and expensive.
- 2.5/5
Smelled like weed through out the entire floor
- 4.5/5
The front desk staff was incredible and room was clean and comfortable. Just a revamp to the gym.

- 5/5
The staff was very courteous
- 5/5
Yes it was terrific.
- 5/5
Nice place
- 2/5
Next, there was only ever one person working the front desk and there was always at least 5 or 6 people in line to check in. You had to stand there for 15 minutes for anything you needed. For example, I stood there for 15-20 minutes just to check in. Later that same night, I went down to their little market to get snacks and had to wait in line 15+ minutes again. Really annoying and inconvenient. Last but definitely not least, there was an African American woman who was working the front desk the afternoon/night of Saturday, December 21st, who was extremely rude. Not friendly at all, just rude, cold, and short with me. That pissed me off and ruined my mood. All of this to say, we will not ever be staying at this hotel again when we come visit Chattanooga.

staff is great!
- 4/5
Otherwise, great!
- 5/5
Room was very clean. Staff very friendly and helpful.
- 4/5
We arrived after midnight and the parking situation was very confusing. They have a lot, but you can’t self park there, but the valet was gone for the night. The front desk guy seemed suspicious about letting us into the lobby. Hotels need to be fully operational and staffed 24/7.
- 5/5
Room was clean and spacious. Within walking distance of several food places and bars. Great location
- 2/5
The room was clean and neat! 2 things that are a must and were a zero star! All the phone ports to charge a phone didn’t work. The bedroom one didn’t work nor did any of the lobby ports! No coffee in the room and when we went down to go home at 8am there was no coffee there either. They are very relaxed in getting the coffee pot filled.
- 5/5
Yes
- 5/5
Nice big room. Very comfortable bed and pillows. I only spoke with 2 people at the front desk during my stay but the were very friendly and able to answer all my questions.
- 5/5
Very clean room
- 5/5
The room was clean and comfy. The staff was very friendly. The location of the hotel is perfect to walk to restaurants and other attractions in the area.
- 5/5
Great staff
- 4/5
Great location but the restaurant too expensive. Coffee maker didn’t work (major flaw).
- 4/5
Clean rooms with a refrigerator that works only for about 2 hours and you have to restart. Valet parking is convenient.
- 5/5
Easy to access despite being downtown.
- 5/5
Clean hotel and room. Updated interior and quiet overnight.
- 1/5
It was horrid. Hotels.com said it was pet friendly, which it was not. They wouldn't allow us to cancel, and wouldn't allow us to stay unless we paid an additional $250. It felt like extortion. I was disgusted even letting my little CLEAN dog walk on the floor. The front desk personnel were jerks to everyone, we had to watch their discourteous behavior for 4 people checking in while we waited in line. It was in a concrete jungle, valet only, no parking lot if you wanted easy access to your vehicle. No access except having the valet go get your car in a locked patron off-limits parking garage. I would NEVER recommend this hotel, I feel like I need a tetanus shot just staying in our room. SO SO SO gross. LOOK ELSEWHERE!!!!
- 5/5
Room perfect and had plenty of rails in shower to hold onto. Room was large.
- 5/5
Very nice trip, our stay at the hotel was perfect
- 5/5
The rooms were immaculate. The desk personnel were friendly and welcoming. The area aropund the property had many shops, cafes, etc. Near everything.
- 5/5
skip
- 5/5
The only ding was no valet service on Saturday morning when we needed our car. We had to go get it which was ok but it could have made us late for our time slot at ruby falls.
- 5/5
Everything about the room and property is great. Service in valet and inside was excellent. Fully recommended!
- 5/5
Great place to stay!!
- 5/5
It was great. We only stayed one night. Was able to check in earlier. Very friendly staff, loved the valet parking!
- 5/5
Check in was friendly and easy. Valet’s were spot on with Jordan leading the way. Hotel and rooms were clean. Everyone was courteous and professional. Will come back when staying in Chattanooga again.
- 5/5
Amazing place. Have stayed multiple times and will keep staying there
- 5/5
Staff was great. Downtown location is convenient to everything.
- 5/5
Only here for 1 night but so far great staff!!

Had an awesome bar and the bartender, he was awesome! Forgot his name, I think Jake. Could be wrong, but he was awesome!!
- 5/5
Great staff, nice hotel, walk everywhere.
- 5/5
Very nice property
- 5/5
Check in staff was very helpful. Told us about restaurant options nearby, and where to find a drugstore.
- 5/5
Valet parking was great… unlimited in and out Laquindra at the front desk who checked us in was wonderful The location is perfect within walking distance to everything The bed was super comfortable ‘
- 5/5
Everyone who worked at the hotel was amazingly friendly and kind. Fantastic customer service. It was unfortunate on a game day college weekend that the TV in the lobby just didn't work. We almost went across the street to watch at another hotel. It was a great stay!
- 5/5
Everything was great. Beginning with booking the trip to the checking in. The hotel was great, as well as the area.
- 5/5
Lack of parking is/was the biggest issue...How do you not have free parking for paying guests?...why is parking not mandated when building a hotel???
- 5/5
We went up to run a race, front desk told us exactly where to find good food for dinner and went above to help us after the race was over to help us with getting one of our guys that needed some help. The staff is absolutely the reason I'd stay here again
- 5/5
Great
- 3/5
Great location. The breakfast was good but not worth the price.
- 4/5
Friendly helpful staff. Only negative was $25 parking. Same hotel less than a mile away on MLK Street offers free parking.
- 4/5
The power banks didn't work had to use outlets, cable kept cutting out, had to pay for valet parking or park away from hotel, paid for handicap room and didn't have handicap friendly shower, sum staff was rude and unhelpful.
- 5/5
.
- 5/5
Nice!!!
- 4/5
Great location.
- 5/5
We really loved that you could walk to most anything in the area. Food, fun and activities.
- 5/5
Everyone and everything was absolutely amazing!!! Will definitely be back!!!
- 1/5
This is the first time I’ve ever reserved a room, paid for what I requested ( which showed to be available) but when I arrived the desk clerk informed me that they didn’t have that type room and he didn’t care or even attempt to help in any manner whatsoever, basically take what I give you or leave attitude. I’ll never stay here again!
- 5/5
Friendly staff.
- 5/5
Loved it! The staff treatment was awsome and very attentive to our needs
- 5/5
Clean room
- 5/5
Loved this hotel and area. So many dining options and great everything we wanted to do within walking distance except for lookout mountain which was a short drive. Would definitely recommend and stay again
- 3/5
Stay was fine and hotel location was excellent for proximity to downtown attractions. Room was clean and comfortable. Staff was friendly and helpful. Only issue was room was advertised as having a city view and the only view we had was of the pool that was covered and of all the people walking by to go to the pool that were looking in our room. If there was an extra charge for the “city view”, Rm 425 should not be included as rooms with a view.
- 3/5
Great location
- 2/5
There is parking available at this Holiday Inn, but it's mandatory valet parking at $25/day per vehicle. This wasn't mentioned on hotels.com, so take that into consideration when booking. Also, the valet attendants will NOT greet you when you arrive - they will simply look at you as if you just landed from a UFO. This makes checking in confusing and frustrating if it's your first visit. The rooms were spacious and clean and the view was decent. Also, the beds were comfortable. However, there was no exhaust fan in the bathroom which left a concerning amount of condensation on the ceiling. The televisions only used cable, which gave a nostalgic early 2000s feel that quickly faded in the evening after 30-minutes (20 of which were commercials). And finally, the food. Breakfast is available in the morning for $15 per person. But the breakfast is some of the worst food I've ever had in my entire life. The coffee was cold and burnt. All the food was cold. The eggs were obviously powdered eggs with a poor attempt to make them seem fancy. The biscuits were stale - even the cereal was stale. The server was very sweet and attentive - She was probably embarrassed by the quality of the food. Anyway, there are other hotels in the area to stay.
- 5/5
Walkability, cleanliness, great location.
- 5/5
Wonderful friendly staff, great location to many restaurants, breweries, activities, we will absolutely book there again.
- 5/5
Absolutely loved this hotel, clean, very friendly staff, easy access to everything downtown
- 5/5
Awesome place !!
- 5/5
Great stay, very friendly staff, quiet hotel. Walking distance to almost all tourist attractions in Downtown Chattanooga.
- 5/5
Clean , staff very polite and helpful
- 1/5
My reservation was cancelled on 6/20 by their manager. They couldn’t explain why. So I had to stay at a hotel 20 miles away and cost more money.
- 5/5
Everything was great except for a loos toilet seat. No worries, they had it fixed in no time.
- 5/5
Location is so convenient to everything. We'll be back!!
- 4/5
The refrigerator did not work properly. Everything else was great.
- 3/5
The stay was ok but I reserved a room with 2 queen beds but the room we got didnt have 2 queen beds. They are more like Full XL.
- 5/5
Service very good. Very comfortable and quiet.
- 3/5
Area and property was nice
- 4/5
Overall the stay was nice but the pool could use some attention. The service was perfect. The staff was nothing but helpful and friendly.
- 5/5
Always clean quiet and professional staff.
- 5/5
Staff was nice and location is great
- 5/5
Rooms were nice. Indoor pool would have been nice but the water was cold
- 5/5
Amazing location great staff best beds ever
- 5/5
Friendly staff, very clean room.
- 5/5
First class all the way. I had a nice meal close by and slept great. Parking was easy and smooth. Thank you for your kindness and professionalism.
- 5/5
The property and room was clean. Nice area right in the middle of everything. Walking distance to anywhere. Only issue is parking. The onsite parking is valet parking and it’s $25/night. So we parked on the street. The front desk clerk was a bit rude, but overall a very nice stay
- 4/5
That is was close to a lot of things.
- 4/5
Nice clean hotel i down town Chattanooga. Was within walking distance of quiet a few restarunts and entertainment venieus. The problems I had were, I was not aware in advance about having to pay $25 per day extra to park. Also I booked a room with a king bed and was put in a room with two queens. I was told the system bumped me out of my king room, which I think is bs, and had to complain to finally get my king back. Dont plan on staying here again.
- 4/5
Great location in downtown Chattanooga.
- 5/5
We attended to Iron Man on this trip. The hotel was nice and clean the location was perfect to downtown area and restaurants. The staff was friendly and helpful.
- 3/5
The lady at the front desk when we checked in and at check out was amazing. Some lights in our room didn’t work, none of the usb ports worked to charge our devices. The drawer in the middle of the beds opened randomly throughout our stay. And the toilet was hard to flush.
- 5/5
Great location to downtown.
- 4/5
Parking situation was a little confusing at first.
- 5/5
Very clean rooms and welcoming staff.
- 4/5
Loved the location and cleanliness. Dis not like how rude the front desk staff was when we checked in. Valet parking was great.
- 4/5
Everything was great! The only thing was the Tv didnt have great channels and now channel guide but it was ok really didn’t watch TV much anyways! The exhaust fan in the restroom didn’t work! Definitely will stay again
- 4/5
Overall, comfortable stay.
- 4/5
Clean
- 5/5
Was good
- 3/5
Average hotel and I would not recommend. We had a slow drain in the shower which is gross. The room felt cramped for space. No free breakfast. It wasn't terrible but there was nothing that would make me want to go back. The employees at the front desk were friendly.
- 3/5
Hotel was great no complaints. Only complaint I have was parking. I was told by front desk agent I could park in the lot next to hotel for free. Next morning I had a parking ticket on my car. Not happy 😔
- 3/5
We came to swim and eat. Unfortunately pool was green, rust all around and corrosion all over the sides.
- 4/5
It’s a great location. It’s a Brazilian restaurant attached. Unfortunately I don’t eat meat… but we still return for there are many great restaurants walkable.
- 4/5
Great stay would have appreciated a complimentary Breakfast. $15.99 apiece for breakfast is too much. $25 a day for Valet only parking is also a bit much. Other than that... great place!!
- 1/5
I tried to cancel this room and never got confirmation. The hotel couldn’t find my reservation and then I had to pay for another one. Please credit this charge as we didn’t use the room I booked
- 4/5
I thought $25 for parking was high for chattanooga
- 5/5
Perfect location for enjoying the downtown area. Close to the river bridge.
- 4/5
Comfortable hotel on a great location and a good price. Walking distance to many restaurants, the aquarium and walking bridge.
- 3/5
The staff was incredibly rude. The two men working the valet were nice, but everyone at the front desk and everyone that answered the front desk phone were very rude and unprofessional. Every time we needed to speak with someone or ask a question they had a terrible attitude. The room was nice and the location was great. Customer service was really bad though, and tainted the experience from the beginning, unfortunately. We wouldn’t stay here again.
- 5/5
Staff was awesome Room was very comfortable Would stay again
- 5/5
This was a pleasant surprise. The staff was friendly and helpful.
- 5/5
Everything it was very nice
- 4/5
We've stayed at this hotel several times and have generally enjoyed the experience. The valet service and the hotel's location above one of Chattanooga's best restaurants are great perks. However, this stay was slightly disappointing. The valet staff had no uniforms or identification, which made the experience feel unprofessional and a bit unsettling. let's be honest If you just had some random gentleman in jeans and a hoodie run out to you and ask for your keys would you just do it? Yes they gave me a claim tag but at the same time You're operating a hotel not a gas station the least you could do is have some kind of name tag to identify that you work with the hotel. While my direct interactions with staff were pleasant, I noticed that when they weren’t assisting guests, they were loud and inconsiderat of the other guests while in public areas like the lobby and elevators. I shouldn't have to overhear a loud conversation on speakerphone between the front desk clerk and his manager, complaining about a customer who didn't leave on time, while following me from the lobby all the way at the elevator and onto my floor. It's just simply unprofessional and neither one of them sounds
- 5/5
Highly recommend… the location, hotel staff, and dining options were all great! Cleanest and nicest room we have been to in Chattanooga!
- 5/5
The Best 💯
- 1/5
Not a sharp front office staff when we checked in at 1am; delayed us by another 45 minutes. Parking is not free, no hot water coffee or tea on the front desk at any time although their tagline is “start your day fresh”. Extremely poor AC and heating unit which makes a very loud noise. The maintenance staff wash clothes at 4am thus causing too much noise around the rooms and we endured two early morning of noise from drier! Never again !
- 4/5
This served it our needs for why we came here. I was a very loud room even though we were several floors up. Other than that it was nice.
- 5/5
I love this hotel. This is my husband and I second time staying at this hot while celebrating his birthday. !! The staff, service, cleanliness and comfort of our room was amazing.
- 5/5
Staff was amazing, attached restaurant was phenomenal.
- 4/5
Great stay
- 1/5
No where online did it show the pool was going to be down for maintenance. We specifically booked this hotel for the indoor pool. Also, the breakfast is odd, overcooked scrambled eggs, one day was french fries and another was potatoes, basic can biscuits and gravy with zero flavor. Both days we stayed Friday & Saturday they had well done sausage patties. Ornage juice was always warm and no one or no where to get ice. The buffet is held inside the onsite Brazilian restaurant. The buffet also included the salad bar that seems to NEVER close. Same items were out during dinner the night before. Staff is hard to find, especially at night. Would not recommend.
- 5/5
Great
- 3/5
Parking is a luck based for free parallel parking, they only offer 25 dollar valet parking or you can pay for parking in a close lot. Room was adequate, fake snake and left over food still under the bed when we checked in. Elevators were shaking as we rode each time. Stairwells were heated but needed cleaning. Its great its a few blocks from the aquarium or other in town attractions but overall not worth the price for what the hotel offered otherwise.
- 4/5
Staff was friendly. Good location and clean property. Fair value, would recommend.
- 5/5
We had a good stay. We were disappointed about the pool being closed and having to pay $25/day parking, but the room was clean and location was convenient.
- 1/5
Staff rude, unprofessional, unhelpful, offensive and clueless about serving customers.
