Wonderful place to stay, price is good. Room is clean. Only issue was not enough towels.

Nice clean place l pool was clean. People were nice. They could do a little better with their breakfast bar. It kind of sucked.

Non-smoking room had cigarette burn marks all over the bathroom. We purchased this location because I had a pool but they decided to open the pool later so it wasn’t even available. The room was completely worn down and in bad shape with sheets, thin comforter. The garbage can outside our door was overfilled to the point we had fruit flies in our room. The icemaker was extremely dirty, which we feel is what made us very sick. Extremely disappointed in Howard Johnson for the quality of this location.

The 60s decor and comfortable beds Room needed some repair. Door on closet was missing and room needed a good deep cleaning.

Room was dirty, laundry had questionable stains, gaps along the walls, bathroom light/fan combo was so extremely load and early that we were afraid to even use the bathroom light, toilet leaked, roaches, horrible smell coming from the bathroom drain. The included breakfast was only chocolate muffins, three cereals and a gallon of milk. It is okay for a quick stop to get a couple hours of sleep but we did not rest well because the beds were uncomfortable and we could hear every noise going on around us. Only gave the stars I did because the staff was friendly and check in and out process was very easy. I would not stay here again though.

It was inexpensive & close to interstate Lack of furnishing in the room. Almost spartan. No amenities. Walls thin as paper. Looks like they started renovations & didn't bother to complete those renovations. It was fine for a place to sleep on our trip home

The room was relatively clean, but there were large chunks of missing/peeling paint on the walls and the toilet seat had a large crack in it. I had to put a washcloth over it in order to be able to sit down without getting pinched! We were only there for one overnight to break up our 15 hour drive otherwise I would have asked to change rooms. The man at the front desk was nice, but he was speaking on the phone to someone about another guest’s complaints while I was standing there waiting to be checked in. A bit unprofessional if you ask me.

I was able to stay on the first floor with my car park right outside my room. This gave me peace of mind and I was able to check on my car at any time.

Its a little bit old than modern, but super clean. Location is amazing! More than worth it for this price. Staing second time during the road trip from Florida to Chicago( almost half way). Highly recommend!

Parking is right outside your window, seems safe enough. We didn't try the breakfast because we slept in.

Very dirty and loud! We had two towels in the bathroom, both were filthy and had visible handprints all over them. The shower stopped working halfway through and wouldn’t drain. There was noise all night (cars, people, etc.). And the curtains didn’t block nearly enough light! It was bright all night from the street lamps. I can get over the other things but the filth of the room and towels really grossed me out!

The room had a terrible scent, almost like incense. The beds are so uncomfortable. Paint peeling out of bathtub and sink, anything metal is rusted, not one towel or sheet change in 4 days. We had to go get more towels on our own. You can hear people above you and outside your door like there is nothing between you. All around terrible experience.

Room reeked of smoke, beds had hair, pillows didn’t have pillow protection nor were the pillow cases satisfactory. Bathroom door was filthy, no towel rack.

The location was convenient. It's next to a old Hardee's and a gas station, and a McDonald's. The state of the room. It needed cleaning up bad. Hole in the bathtub. Old ketchup and mustard stains on the wall. Just needed a good cleaning overall.

It was a great home base in Chattanooga. Easy to get to everything. The staff was very friendly.

The bed was hard as a rock and not comfortable at all. There was mold in the bathroom and when I put the towel down for my shower it turned black because the floors were so dirty.

The rooms are nice. Nothing fancy. Clean and the beds were actually very comfy. Very nice staff. I had to ask for towel and trash service as no one even came by to inquire if anything was needed. But other than that not a bad place to stay.

Everything was as expected and perfect for a quick overnight. I wanted something just off the highway, so traffic noises didn’t bother me. I knew the breakfast would be sparse, but there’s a Hardee’s in the same parking lot and other options nearby. Service was great, room was clean, and I love the bright colors!

Nasty rooms. We couldn’t even walk barefoot without our feet being black. Tub was gross and toilet seat was messed up. I will never stay there again. We ended up leaving and staying somewhere else.

Overnight stay on our way to Florida. Service was good. Rooms were clean but needed some TLC. They served their purpose.

The check in was ok. The room smelled of cat pee bad. And yes I did have my dog with me. But the cat smell burned our eyes. The floor was disgusting. Turned my daughter’s feet black. And we were there for her friends prom. I had to go to the store and buy cleaning supplies and odor remover. So their expensive dresses wouldn’t smell.

I ended up checking in and immediately checking out(room was booked 3 months in advance). There were stains on both beds/mattresses and some kind of bug by 1 bed(unsure if it was a bed bug, but looked like one).(I took pictures to show staff) I didn't feel safe because there were people walking around and I smelled drugs. When I checked out, the clerk promised to refund my money and said I'd have to call hotels.com to cancel, but they would call the manager of the hotel and he'd approve the refund. I was only refunded 1 night (I had booked 2) and told "this is the hotel's policy).

Great staff very helpful! Room smelled like smoke, little if any noise reduction, there was a factory about 200 ft away that made a loud intermittened noise. Adaquate for getting rest while on the road.

Not good would not stay here again, bed was clean and comfy. The outlet in bathroom had exposed wires. Microwave was old and didn't heat well. Walls were very thin can hear everything above and beside us all night.

Not so go

We came to Chattanooga to see a theatrical production and needed a hotel for one night. This hotel was conveniently located for our purpose and we would stay there again if we should return to Chattanooga for another show. The room seemed to be newly renovated and was generally quiet. The only outside noise that bled into the room was when people were talking as they passed our door. The toilet, though, was very loud and ran for an extended period of time which wasted a lot of water. When I mentioned this at checkout the manager said that they would soon be replacing all of the toilets to a standard model that wouldn't flush for so long. The only negatives were the scant breakfast offerings and the noise from the air conditioning. Having a Hardee's right next door solved the first problem while the overnight temperature meant the air conditioning fortunately didn't need to run overnight. I might have second thoughts about booking a room during the hottest part of the summer due to the air conditioning noise, but for one or two nights I'd probably be willing to risk it for the location and price.

First I would like to compliment the staff. They guy that checked me in was nice. No issues with staff. The hotel itself appears to have been renovated at one point, and they missed the mark in some areas. In my room there was a light fixture missing from the bathroom vanity. There were wires hanging out of the wall. Someone had punched the bathroom door with a fist, knocking a hole in the door. Inside the bathroom, there were covers missing off of the hand rails and some of the fixtures were rusted. Rust was bubbling through dried paint bubbles in areas around the shower. Although the room it self was clean, it had a faint odor of old cigarette smoke, no doubt when the hotel was renovated and they painted over the cigarette stained walls and ceilings. The hotel was convenient to the interstate, shared a parking lot with a gas station get food, snacks, a couple beers or whatever you need from a convenience store. Also, there were a couple of fast food restaurants just a few steps away. This is a good hotel for a weary get a quick nights rest before getting back on the road.

HOTEL WAS GREAT FOR $70. IT WAS CLEAN, COMFORTABLE AND SAFE.

The staff was excellent. The property is a dated old motel, but the rooms have been updated sometime recently. It’s off the beaten path, and requires a 10 minute drive to find restaurants or other amenities.

Last minute travel w our dog, older HJ but very clean and quiet location. Friendly front desk we arrived past midnight. Def a great place that’s been updated

First thing I noticed was how good it smelt in the lobby. And it carried into the room. Smelt super clean. The beds and pillows were insanely comfy! The only negatives I had was how little sealed the door was to outside. I could easily hear conversations and cars coming and going. And being on the lower level someone was running around their room until late. I’d just request a room on the upper level next time

Microwave and heater/ac unit was outdated. The heater thermostat did not work properly and I had to constantly adjust the temperature. Heater fan also made a loud noise when on. Tiolet was similar to a public unit with a flushometer valve and no tank. It was hard to flush and the pressure was weak so had to flush more than once.

The room was roomy, mattresses and pillows were soft (not hard and uncomfortable), and towels were soft and absorbent.

First we had to settle for a queen bed instead of a king which is what we reaerved due to a supposed plumbing issue. The main room was very clean and nice, however the bathroom shelf was falling and the light fixtures were missing exposing electrical wires. Half the outlets in the room didnt work so we had to take turns charging our devices..

Walking around the room without shoes, left our feet black. Toilet was leaking.

The hotel staff was nice and helpful. The room was comfortable but there were a lot of noises that sounded like banging (maybe pipes?) and I also notified them about a smoke alarm battery being low in a room nearby.

I really don't have any complaints at all. I stayed for 2 nights. Front staff was friendly and check in was quick and easy. Room was clean, no sign of bugs or mold. The $50 deposit was returned upon checkout. The area has a few fast food restaurants and a Walmart right down the road which is very convenient. Has zero issues with my stay.

We will be going back for another visit

Smoke alarm beeped all night. Hair dryer didn't work . Microwave shot sparks when we tried to use it. And the tv remote was missing the battery cover so the batteries fell out every time you put it down..

Upstairs people were jumping and running all night; seemingly small kids. Burn holes and tears in the bedding, stains in the bathroom, trash in the parking lot. Didn’t feel like a safe stay with my family.

The staff were extremely polite and helpful! Our room was very clean and it even had a fresh bleach smell that wasn't overpowering at all. The beds were SO COMFORTABLE and after being in the car with my toddler for 19 hours, we all slept incredible. It was like floating on a cloud! The views were amazing on the way to and from. They're even great views directly from the hotel as it sits at the basin of several mountains.

Easy access of I-24...building could use some upkeep but for the price i wasn't expecting 5 star. Breakfast was non existent...cereal an coffee...mcdonalds and hardees feet away. Drive i n to st elmo and eat at their restaurants. Did enjoy the ease of access to lookout mountain rock city and ruby falls...was able to avoid the interstate traffic until it was time to come home.

Check in and out was easy, staff was very friendly, properly was in a nice location. There was food and gas around us and plenty to see and do, not too far away. The room was nice and cozy. We brought our dog with us and gladly paid the pet fees, which were reasonable. Great location. Would definitely stay there again when in that area.

It was a good place to rest at great location right off the interstate. It had a MAPCO service station and a Hardee’s next door and was a very close and easy drive to Ruby Falls park and Rock City park.

We were supposed to have 1 king bed. That’s what we paid for but instead we had 2 queen beds. When I asked if we could be switched we were told there were no other rooms available. The bathroom was filthy as was the floor and the sheets. We had to go buy our own sheets for the beds to use them. It says there is breakfast but I wouldn’t even call it that. It’s literally two brands of cereal and apples. The only good thing I can say about it was that the guy at the front desk was nice. Also the two house keepers I came in contact with were very creepy. I caught one trying to take a picture of me after I walked by him. When I asked what he was doing he ran into one of the rooms.

I didn’t like that the entrance is on the outside. You can hear every noise there is. I flushed the toilet and it just kept running. I had to call front desk. The walls need to be painted. The bathroom needs to be repainted. You randomly hear like tapping or knocks, I’m not really sure what or where it’s coming from. I will not return here

This place was a complete dump. It was supposed to be smoke free but as soon as we opened the door to the room cigarette smoke hit us in the face. The bed and sheets were dirty with cigarette burn marks in the blanket. The toilet is so low to the ground you need a forklift to help get off of it. We booked the room 3rd party and requested 2 double queen beds and didn’t get that. The employees are shady and the place gives off creeper vibes. Definitely go somewhere else.

Not sure if they lock the lobby up at a certain time because there was a night check in window which made us nervous about the safety of the area. We were told breakfast was Fruit Loops, Frosted Flakes, and blueberry muffins, that's it so nothing for Diabetic people. Most hotel beds are very hard but this one was so soft we sank in. Not a lot of restaurants nearby either so we had to have unhealthy fast food.
