    Very clean and the staff was friendly. The only things I can think were an issue were the “whisper quiet” A/C was loud and the sliding door to the shower / toilet area didn’t shut all the way. Other than those it was a very nice stay.

    Good area to stay in My A/C didn't work the first night I was there, but as soon as I complained (and they offered to send their worker up to check it out) it somehow started working within a few minutes??? Could just be a coincidence but who knows. My TV stopped working the 2nd night as well. Kept saying there was no internet but wouldn't let me reset the internet to try and get it to work. Had someone come up and he was very nice but he did everything I already did so I guess I was just SOL at that point. Tried it again in the morning and it still didn't work.

    Had a total of 4 or 5 TV channels available, had to pay to watch anything else. Not a walkable distance to much, had to uber food delivery, which was fast. For the value of stay elsewhere and get a free breakfast, walkable establishments and actual channels to watch on tv.

    The beds. The pillows. Super cozy. Great, hot, strong shower. Very impressive. Halls had a musty smell. Was worried that the room was going to smell but it was only the halls. Only stayed one night. Have the breakfast! The berry Nutella waffles were amazing. Took a hot Minute to arrive to our room. About 20 minutes. But it was delicious. Staff was sweet. Thanks!! Dim dreary halls.

    Of all the Mariotts there definitely the best one. Rather modern style, gym ok Yet my highest praise does not go to the hotel itself, but to the staff. All friendly. And Kiara (or Chiara? Sorry, not sure) is the gem of the whole thing. She is one of the friendliest, most radiant people I have ever met at a hotel (and I have been to many). Don’t know why no 5 star hotel has stolen her from the Aloft. I felt so welcome and got everything I asked for from her without any visible effort. When I come back, I hope to see her again. Would not go into the pool. The water looked aweful. Maybe it’s the tiles, don’t know. No daily full cleaning service. And the make up remover pads got never replaced. So housekeeping made me give 8 instead of 9 stars.

    I love the way the rooms are laid out and the fact that there is a restaurant and beautiful outside seating Why is it so hard to have fresh coffee out at 5am AS ADVERTISER!!!! GOOD GREIF!!! and then I have to argue with your night auditor at 5:20am when I questioned it and her nasty response to me was: "UM, IT'S A BIT EARLY DON'T YA THINK"!!! how about your management team show up (unscheduled) and do spot checks on your staff and if tasks are being completed, AS ADVERTISED. I worked in hospitality for 20 years and did night audit..........I know the difference. Also, this is NOT the first time I have encountered this problem with this property!! It's every time.

    First of all, we reported water on the floor in the bathroom at 11 PM at night when we checked in we use the towels to absorb the water because it was substantial. We reported it to the front desk and they assured us it would be repaired. She gave me towels for the next morning. The next day when we came back, the bathroom still had water on the floor. No repairs were made, and a latex glove was sitting on the desk with the middle finger. I took pictures. I’ve never asked for my money back on anything, but I sure would like it on this instant they did a terrible terrible disservice to us. Didn’t even offer us another room.

    My go to whenever I am in town. Pretty standard hotel with amenities that will accommodate most needs. Gym for basic cardio/min weight lifting ability, indoor pool always a plus. Dog friendly with plenty green space for your pet including the waste stations. Parking is pretty open and able to find a spot. Bar and food available for a duration of time. Staff friendly and knowledgeable. Smooth check out and even when my check in room was canceled without notification, management stepped in and found me a room as scheduled for the same rate. Overall, I am happy.

    Parking was easy and I really liked the room. However, I was disappointed by the extra hidden charges that were added. After driving 7 hours to get there, the check-in experience was not very welcoming. The front desk staff member had a poor attitude and didn’t provide any information about where things were located, such as the elevators or the pool. It felt more like “here’s your key” and that was it. A friendlier greeting and a little guidance would have made the experience much better.

    Room not very clean, sink filled up with water every time I used it, no drawers to put your clothes in, can't take the stairs and elevator was always dirty and/or stinky, signs say no smoking but I could smell weed and smoke the whole time (5 nights) I was there and had to put a towel at the bottom of my door to try to keep the smell out, paid for a breakfast biscuit that was nasty - had to go down and order and wait (no room service), treadmill out of order, had to go down to the lobby level and get pre bagged ice even if you needed only a little and waste the rest of the bag. I had called ahead of time asking what kind of coffee maker was in the rooms, could I bring K cups - was told yes they were pods but I get there after the wasting the space in my suitcase and they weren't, Shades didn't fully cover windows so lights are shining in from the parking lot all night keeping you awake

    Had to change rooms because of noise next door. The front desk staff was great but the first room looked like it had been cleaned in a hurry and the drain was clogged just when I washed my hands. The second room was 78 degrees and I could not get the thermostat to budge. The equipment at the gym was filthy.

    The customer service at the hotel is top tier. Every encounter I had with staff was phenomenal. However, the rooms seem a little dated. The televisions on the wall are outdated. Mine did not work at first but a tech came and fixed it. The shower seal was missing so the water created a puddle on the floor. The ironing board is small and the iron leaked all over the floor and my clothes.

    Visiting my kids for the holidays, I chose aloft because I’ve never had a terrible experience until now. We checked in, got settled in our room on the 5th floor and left for dinner. When we got back our key card would not unlock door. I went down and front desk came to attempt the exact same thing with no success. They contacted a really nice employee in Heather who came with a laptop to reset pad code. She tried for over 2 hours with no success. My kids and I ate our dinner on the bench of that same floor. Heather finally got us into a different room next door. She had a manager come from home to break the lock so we could get our stuff. The room we got after had a mattress with brown/red stains. This was about 2am so I slept on tha bed with my kids not wanting to sleep there but too tired to go anywhere else law. Room was really beat up. I was told over and over again that we would be compensated and finally on check out a nice front desk employee got Andrea(Manager) to meet me only to tell me that since this is a 3rd party booking, she would review my situation and add points. Whatever that means it was for her to determine later without getting my contacted information but I got her business card. Aloft failed us and my kids. I’ll be choosing another property in the future and so should you.

    The best part about this hotel is the bar and the food. Being able to have access till 1am was great since I was getting in town pretty late. The receptionist answered all my questions each time I called and everyone was very straightforward. I also loved how hot the showers were. It was amazing. I didn’t try the pool or the gym but the overall lobby is so nice.

    On the day of check in, the front desk was a little sour and short with me. Perhaps she wasn’t happy working Thanksgiving. But all other staff members that I encountered after that were wonderful. Environment was super quiet and the beds were heavenly after a long drive. The hot shower felt great on the cold days.

    My stay was okay. The room was cleaned, but the bathroom shower leaked everywhere. There was also evidence of water damage in the room because of it ( bubbling paint, missing caulk etc). The front desk staff was okay. The bartender was very friendly. My room was a good size. The hallways also smelled like mildew.

    Hotel was fine, but they originally put me in a king, then I had to go back down and remind them I booked two queens on an upper floor. They overbooked, so I had to stay in a handicap accessible with two queens on the first floor by the loud bar area. Sink drain didn’t work properly. Completely unacceptable altogether.

    I did report to front desk on Friday that the front of the safe was broken. I wasn’t using it just went to close the door & the entire locking mechanism fell apart. She was very nice & told me she would report. It was room 203.

    We were upset after the first night because we had a problem with our tv! Basically someone pulled all the cords out and house keeping did not relay the message before considering our room “flipped.” It was fixed the next day but we have stayed here several times and the only compensation they offered was points and free breakfast. It just didn’t seem fair. We stayed and were able to watch tv with no other issues and I love Aloft I just was disappointed in the accommodations.

    This was probably one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed in, that drybar shampoo, condition and body wash was FIRE, the bed was super comfy, the water pressure was amazing and the room was spacious! Staff was super nice as well!

    So upset with my stay, total waste of money and I’m trying my hardest to get a refund. The A/C in the building is broken. It’s so humid. They had water leaks in every room we stayed in. (We switched 3 times in 3 nights) the first room had a giant wet spot, and it was so humid I know these rooms are growing mold. Every room was patched and painted and just made you feel like it was dirty. The breakfast options were a joke & waste of an upgrade so save yourself. I wanted a hotel with a gym, this gym had no A/C, sweat every where, totally unhygienic and unsanitary. The weekend stay was super loud since they had a party in the lounge. Just crazy. I stayed here 7 years ago & it seems like it’s gone downhill since.

    The hotel was ok. There was no turndown service, and during our 5 day stay there was only one time that the custodial service came to clean our room. The shower literally leaked a gallon of water on the bathroom floor, and upon our discussion with the front desk, they responded "the shower was designed poorly". We had included breakfasts each day, yet that did not show up on the front desk personal screen. So, every day we had to open our computers to show that "we have pre-paid breakfasts". We asked for the front desk to make a note of it, which they did not. Every day, we had to show our documentation. The breakfast?.......delivered in a brown paper bag to a table for us. I would NEVER recommend an Aloft Property. The staff was relatively nice however.

    Please put 4 bath towels in the room each day for two people. My son's room did not have the bath towels. We did ask for extra towels and they did oblige. The staff was wonderful. The location, bartender and reception staff, and amenties (pool table) was wonderful. Great for rainy day.

    This hotel was super cute. Clean. The staff were friendly and went above and beyond to make our stay great. The vibe was fun and the pool table was a plus. The rooms were spacious and clean. The swimming pool was clean and opened until 11pm. It’s definitely worth paying for the breakfast upgrade, food was cooked to order and delicious. The hotel is in a great area close to everything.

    Aloft Chesapeake provided a clean and accommodating for me and my dog. The staff was very friendly and even gave me dog food bowls and a toy for my dog upon arrival. Angie at the front desk was so sweet! The room was clean and had everything you needed for a stay in terms of toiletries and towels. The hallways were a bit noisy at night and you could hear the above rooms flushing toilets or opening and closing doors all night. Overall, it was a great stay! Would recommend.

    first time staying here this weekend and immediately upon walking in i knew we were going to like it! very kid friendly , nice lobby area and bar area with plenty of comfy seating! i have two young kids who love hanging in the lobby when we go to hotels and they were welcomed to explore and just be kids! Bar area and bartenders were very nice in the evening too. would definitely stay here again!

    Hotel was nice. Clean and spacious room. We stayed 3 nights. Skipped cleaning service on the first day and then expected it on the 2nd day. Cleaning staff did not make the bed, did not clean at all. The only thing they did was switch out the towels. Bathroom was dirty. Toilettries were not replenished. Raised this to the front desk when checking out. Got pretty much an "oh well" response. No explanation or apology. 3 nights and no cleaning. Unacceptable.
