Central location to explore the area’s attractions. Suite with 2 bedrooms and pull out couch was plenty of room for 3 kids and 3 adults. Heated pool, pool table, basketball court was great. Breakfast buffet and near by walking paths were a plus. All of the staff were excellent! Friendly and accommodating, will definitely stay again.

That the room had roaches In room 320 every time I got up to use the bathroom and turn on the light you see a new roach. And my baby had big bite marks I like that.They had a pool indoor they have a workout room and they have breakfast the front desk lady, she was cool.

Front desk was exceptional! We went to Norfolk Va to attend our son's graduation and the staff was so gracious to accommodate our needs.

The room wasn’t clean. We found hair and food around after we waited 20 mins after check in time for a room to get cleaned. Not happy.

Hotel is in Greenbriar Mall area in Chesapeake close to everything. The room was great, 2 queens and separate living room. Beds and pillows were premium comfortable. Hotel is 3+ stars for sure. Price was decent. Breakfast was standard. Traffic in whole Chesapeake, Virginia Beach, Norfolk area is "rough."

The property was being refurbished. Our first room had a strong smell in it. The next morning we asked to be moved and the desk clerk was very helpful in fulfilling our request.

Staff was super friendly, pool was warm. They have a pool table, basketball rim and bbq grills for use. Residence inn never disappoints.

The mattress in Room 329 sagged badly in the middle requiring me to sleep at the very edge. The shower leaked and had no pressure. Maintenance fixed it next day. Coffee maker had no carafe. Fireplace did not work.

Staff was very friendly, pool water was warm but the pool area itself was pretty cold. Breakfast was not good. Room was ok, beds are comfortable. They are currently doing renovations in some of the rooms, looking

Just had coffee

The room was clean. However, the bathroom could have been cleaner - Found a hair and some mildew on bottom of shower door. Breakfast consisted of waffles, boiled eggs and pastries. But McDonald’s is right across the street.

The tub was really badly stained brown. I didn’t feel comfortable taking a bath in there. The floors in my room were not vacuumed prior to my arrival.

The rooms here are clean have efficient amenities (although I much prefer having my own Keirig coffee maker) instead of any other type of coffee maker. Breakfast was your typical traditional type but nothing exciting. The beds were VERY COMFY and the rooms had a good amount of space.

Not my first time staying, but will be my last. Room was not too clean, requested daily housekeeping but never received it. Shirley checked us in and I found her to be very unfriendly. I felt like I was bothering her at check in.

I love it!

Place smells like weed and mildew. Kitchen was dirty, fridge dirt, shower dirty. Utensil drawer was filthy. I wouldn’t even bleach and use this stuff. Clearly the cleaning crew takes no pride in what they do. Nor does house keeping manager or manager of the facility check. I’m glad it’s just for one night

When asking for service for the room for sheets and linen no one never came all day...

Lobby clean & well staffed. Pool table & basketball table great additions to the hotel. The halls seemed clean & well maintained. Housekeeping was requested every other day. Our stay was Monday- Sunday & they came ONE TIME. We had to put our garbage cans in the hall & ask the front desk for towels & toilet paper. Our room did not have the appropriate cookware required to use the stove. The warming drawer of our oven was completely crooked & had obviously been damaged prior to our arrival. The dishes that were put away prior to our arrival weren't clean & dishwasher pods/dish soap was not provided until we asked for them. There was a sign indicating each room's freezer made ice but ours had no ice maker. There were no ice trays so we bought our own. There were no ice machines ANYWHERE in the hotel & when we asked the kitchen staff for ice one day they apologized & said their own machine was broken. The pool itself was dirty- a layer of dirt/sand was on the bottom for our entire stay. Hot tub has been removed and the floor where it was had standing water in the middle. Towels were plentiful and clean. Breakfast selection was outstanding each day. Tons of options & everything cooked well. Staff was great but the hotel itself needs improvement. We like the Residence Inn brand & have stayed at other locations but this one did not fair as well as other Residence Inns we have enjoyed.

Staff was amazing, always taking the time to talk to you and check to see if you need something. Clean rooms and an amazing breakfast.

Everything was nice and staff was helpful. Very convenient location. Pool was tiny and overly chlorinated.

While the staff was fantastic- the rooms were not that comfortable. The sofa was very uncomfortable just to sit on and the mattress was hard. Lower quality bedding as well.

The front desk was underdtaffed but the friendliness of staff more than mafe up for the wait. The room I stayed in was nice but a bit dated furniture wise. We had the 2 bedroom and the size was great. They need to restock the cutlery. The house keeper did not clean one of the tubs but everything else was ok. Fyi they clean the room every 3 days.

We were in Virginia for intensive physical training and development class and were a mess every morning. Beware and don’t let the online pictures of the hotel fool you.

The front office manager was wonderful and kind and helped me with my elderly father’s room.

Staff was very friendly and was attentive, they got to know who we were and were always available if we needed assistance.

A group of us went to a ladies retreat. This hotel left us feeling like we were very pampered. We have it on our definitely list for next year!

We thank God that we found this place. It’s safe, quite, and the receptionists are very nice. They take their time to listen and would respond with professionalism. My husband is not easy to please but he said that he would like to stay at this Hotel again.

Front desk receptionist had an unfriendly difficult attitude. Unfortunate and did not feel welcomed.

We reserved two units for my daughter’s Sweet Sixteen celebration. The staff were very welcoming, friendly, and accommodating. We enjoyed every moment of our stay. From Joe “the maintenance guy” to Tara at the front desk; everyone made this trip special for my daughter. I am very grateful.

Veronica the front desk clerk was absolutely amazing. Very understanding to my needs. I really appreciate customer service such as hers. Amazing. Kudos to her.

This hotel is the best I've stayed at! They have so much to do there! Plus the front desk staff is amazing! They really make you feel welcome! Omg the bed was so comfortable i am going home to upgrade mines! I played pool and i love the fire pits outside! They even have a basketball court and the pool is heated! I did not wanna leave yall! Trust me people book this one!

The rooms are not current. It smelled like pets live there full time. And the staff was not friendly. The best experience I had was checking in. Everything else was downhill or average at best from there.

This was the best hotel stay I ever had. The staff were friendly as soon as I walked in. Check in was smooth and easy. It was very clean in the entire hotel.

My state was amazing. We did have a hiccup at the beginning because I did book the room through Hotels.com. The lady at the desk couldn’t figure out how to get me my room because I went through a third-party so that took about 30 to 45 minutes, but they were very nice about it and I understood it wasn’t their fault so I wasn’t upset. Amazing customer service.

Issues that I had: the heat kept blowing out cool air so my whole stay was in a freezing room, the door lock kept getting jammed and I had to remember to un-jam it each time, the hotel ran out of room temp bottle water so I had to leave the property to buy some to make my son a bottle, the wash clothes had pubic hair on them, housekeeping never cleaned my room.

My one and only complaint is that smoking is permitted in the outdoor spaces of the property. This has many times prevented us from fully enjoying the lovely outdoor space and areas.

Our stay was nice, the check-in process went very smoothly, and staff was polite and fridendly. the breakfast was a plus and had a lot of options so it is wonderful for kids. my only complaint was that I had to change rooms due to the bed being uncomfortable. I do think they should look at some upgrades when it comes to that. They could also benefit from new carpet in the rooms.

Not clean and in dire need of TLC and general updates!

Staff was nice. However we almost got stuck in the elevators trying to go home. Also the hotel is dog friendly but guest didnt control dog kept tellin it sit and walmed away from it and then calling it and it ran through Breakfast room. The guest had to get children out of the way it was a mess. He apologized but my mom was upset we went back up and didn't enjoy Breakfast. I think some type of rules should be set about animal's.

It’s a very nice place to stay with an indoor pool which is well maintained and has an outdoor sitting space with grills for family outdoor fun, the parking lot is huge and always space to park. Did I mention the laundry which is on the first floor, gives you upper hand to travel back with clean clothes. The complementary breakfast is phenomenal, if you stay there go out and enjoy it. Most places is within 30mins of a drive. Virginia beach is like 15-20mins and Walmart is right around the corner attached with chains store like Sam’s Club. Overall our experience was amazing.

Only plus was the kitchen. Room was just ok. Long check in, they “ran out of towels”, advertised as 24 hour pool access but it closed at 10. Uncomfortable beds and terrible pull out. Bathroom did not lock and toilet caulking was hanging by a thread. Windows had no screens.

The AC in our room didn’t work. We were told the hotel was at capacity so our options were move to a completely different location or use the loud industrial fan. In addition the ice maker didn’t work so i had to leave out to go purchase bags of ice. The refrigerator barely kept our items cold. The items were cool at the minimum but definitely not cold.

The staff was so friendly and helpful. The breakfast was delicious because there was lots to choose from and the kitchen staff was so helpful. I wish I could've strapped the mattress on my car when I left. This is my second time staying and it won't be my last.

Really liked this place. Only part that bothered me was that smoking was permitted on the outdoor seating /firepit/ barbecue. I realize that it’s outside but to non smokers it’s bothersome when you can’t enjoy sitting outside on a beautiful day. Wish it wasn’t permitted.

Amount so many positive things for us what make this trip extra special was the fact the front desk staff members were very nice. Beyond their duty they ran around to find me a playpen for my baby, extra towels and sheets for my extra guess wasn't an issue to provide neither. The pool was super nice and warm, breakfast options was ok i wish they offer a waffle machine or pancakes machine. The rooms was clean and comfortable

Christmas Day housekeeping

We stayed here Christmas week. All of the staff was very friendly and helpful. Veronica at the front desk was a pleasure. The room was nice and spacious. The location is convenient to lots of shopping and dining options.

Our stay was wonderful except the view out the window was top of the roof. Definitely recommend starting at this property.

We loved the outside spaces, whether to sit around the fire or grilling options.

We had 4 of us staying in a 1 bedroom suite. The facility was very clean and the staff was super nice. The bathroom sink faucet needed a repair to regulate the temperature, and for some reason the shower was super loud from the water pressure. Breakfast was pre-made and on time. Although we didn't care for the waffles the selection of other items was good.

First of all the staff was so nice and pleasant it felt like family. They spoke every time and they gave us recommendations where to eat. The room was spacious and clean. My wife and I were very comfortable. We added Marriot on our list of hotels.

We were greated by Tara Parker, an amazing soul. She worked quickly and with a ton of enthusiasm to get us into our room that was not quite ready. Although there was no rush and we were happy to wait, she insisted and chatted candidly while we stoodby. It was a very interactive experience that quite usually, isn't so. Unbeknownst to Tara, my family was tired, hungry and overly ready to settle in for the day after working to pack our house up and prepare for the long drive to our new location. Her help was instrumental in getting us that respit and allowing us to recharge. Im so happy she was the face that greeted us, and so very satisfied with our stay!
