The only thing that was wrong was when I checked in the lady that checked us in was not very pleasant and our room wasn’t ready when we got there check in was at 3 and we got there at 340 and the room was not ready according to the lady at the desk. We drive 12 hours and I was very tired and just wanted to get in my room. The remainder of my stay was very pleasant and the staff was very nice and friendly

The elevator to our floor was out of order. The fire alarm went off and we had to evacuate the hotel and to regain entrance the side door to the working elevator and my room was locked and unable to use your key.

Hotel had construction going on in front lobby. Parking horrible. Parked in dimley lighted area. No waters for being Hilton member upon arrival. The TV was so small , what a joke. Herd people in parking lot making noise at 10pm

I called ahead before booking and was told the hotel had finished renovations. That turned out not to be true. When we arrived, it was clear that construction was still ongoing. I also specifically requested a quiet room, but we were placed on the first floor in a room that didn’t feel clean, looked worn out, and had a chalky, stale smell—almost like it had been used by workers during the renovation. To make matters worse, there was a loud party happening down the hall. Since we were only staying a couple of days and I wasn’t confident the next room would be any better, I didn’t ask to be moved. The one positive was the staff — they were very friendly, and I had no issues with them at all. Overall, the experience was disappointing, especially after being told the hotel was fully renovated.

The hotel is solod. Shoutout to the guy that helped with getting the room when I arrived because when I did the room had been canceled due to not being able to charge a card? However, when I booked on expedia it was reserve now and pay later on sight. I have done this before and never had my room get canceled. Due to the I had to get a diff room altogether but I expect if I am booking a room that is reserved that the room does not get canceled right before I get there. Get it together please

The first room I was assigned had a large wet area on the carpet between the bed and the dresser under the TV. When I touched it and smelled it, it smelled like urine. I believe someone may have had a pet in that room that urinated on the carpet. And the cleaning crew didn't even catch it. I notified the front desk and they moved me to another room. When I got in that room the room was clean and the bed was made but all four pillows were stack haphazzardly in the chair with no pillow cases on them. I notified the front desk and they said they'd get me some pillow cases. I went out to dinner and returned around 9pm and the pillow cases were still not in the room. Finally around 9:30 the front desk clerk came up to my room with 4 pillow cases which I put on the pillows myself. I will never stay at this hotel again nor will I recommend this particular location to any of my family and friends who frequently visit Chesapeake, VA.

What i didn't like was no bar of hand soap in the bathroom no safe in the room no wall mirror they had water in the room that they was charging $ 3.00 a bottle i got a six pack of water from the dollar stoe for $ 1.25 no one was never at the front desk food was dry out looking. It was not worth the money they changed will next recommend anybody to stay there very disappointed.

This was not the hotel I use the frequently stay before retiring it looked run down. The lobby was the best looking area of the hotel that I saw during my brief stay. I certainly would be hesitant in staying there again. I was totally surprised at how this hotel looked. It certainly did appear to be a Hilton

The door of my room didn’t shut. They fridge didn’t work and tried to have a glass of wine and went to the bar half hour before closing and the bartender refused to serve me a glass of wine even when I told her that I wanted it to go to my room. The front desk employee did finally went I got it for me.

The hotel over all is a good hotel. Although a little misleading as a there is no indoor pool apparently it has not been available for over three years and they are turning it into a conference. There is no restaurant open as web clearly shows. Plans were to stay here & our child swim in the indoor pool, eat dinner within the hotel, only to find out there is a limited menu with wings and flatbread pizza. There was offered beer in a bottle but limited kinds at $6 ea. The breakfast was excellent. The offered beverages were watered down Apple juice, decent cranberry juice or good orange juice. I was shocked no water offered. The espresso coffee machine was broken which was a bummer.

I thoroughly enjoyed my 2 day stay at Hilton Gardens. The room was spacious, clean and renovated. The decor was modern. I enjoyed everything about the hotel. The 2 bottles of complimentary water was a nice gift. If I could suggest anything else to make the stay even more rewarding, it would be to include a free , hot breakfast and add a swimming pool.

Customer service was wonderful great people. Got there the refrigerator did not work. The door had to be adjusted and fixed because it did not close properly. And would have been nice when I booked the space to let us know there was construction being done other than that, it was fine

When booked we didn't know the property was being renovated. Was given a room on the forth floor, where they were sanding the hall walls and painting. We requested a different room and was given room 225. We were late for a retirement dinner and just placed our luggage in the room and left. Upon returning we found the heat didn't work and the bathroom was filthy, pubic hairs from the previous occupancy were left. I have always used Hilton properties but now feel I'll be using Marriott.

While the property is dated, the carpet old and stained and furniture has some wear, the room was spotlessly clean and quiet. It had a walk-in shower but was not very accessible to me husband with COPD as he had to walk quite a distance to get to the room. Appreciatively a staff member helped him. Upon departure we exited through an outside door next to the room. Would like to have been able to enter that door initially. Not everyone disabled is in a wheelchair.

While it wasn’t a terrible stay I won’t book with them again. The hotel is very outdated. I booked with them because it says they have an indoor pool and hot tub but they were under reconstruction. Breakfast was supposed to be included but it was an additional fee and the system they used for how to sit/order/retrieve food was confusing for everyone in the dining area. The shower ran cold before I was done with a 10 minute shower. The staff were friendly and the bed was comfy.

Staff was very good ! Very Disappointed Pool closed, bar closed Sunday & Monday, Restaurant closed Sunday & Monday, None of this was posted on the website. No tissues in my room until I asked for them. Shade broken very run down facility. I booked through Expedia and They would not my Hilton Honors membership. I chose Hilton but the next time I may think twice. The best experience was with the Bartender Sandra. She was very friendly and accommodating she also helped with local information. I am especially disappointed with the Hilton Honors situation, I f I stay at a Hilton Facility I should be able to get the points. Room 323 call me for details if you like.

Property is badly in need of renovation! NO way a Hilton hotel should be this bad! The couch in my room was full of stains! The carpet smelled of urine! Very misleading when you walk into the lobby which is very nice. The staff was somewhat helpful. I was baffled that there were no blankets available for the pullout couch! The outside dumpster was wide open and you could see the trash area. I would NOT stay again!

Arrived the hotel from out of state around 1:30pm on Sunday, August 14, 2022. The lady at the front desk was very unfriendly, did not even acknowledge us by at least making eye contact. Her body language was perceived as if she did not want us as guests in her hotel. The toilet did not function well, due to very low water pressure, whenever the toilet was flushed.

We arrived at 3pm for check-in, but our room was not ready until 3:45. Once we finally got into the room, none of the lights were working, the AC was not properly cooling our floor or room, and our bedding had stains on them. When we tried contacting the front desk for assistance, we were told that only one attendant was available and no manager was on-site. After checking out and contacting Hilton customer service, we were told that we had been given a complimentary breakfast for the issues, but the hotel staff did not make us aware of that while we were there.

Hotel is outdated and bathrooms are old and should be replaced along with the carpeting. Humidity and temperature control were iffy. Beds comfortable. However, the lobby area is updated and the hotel is probably going to be updated in phases. The service and staff at the front desk, housekeeping, and maintenance were incredibly friendly and courteous - which made up for the less than stellar parts of the hotel.

Service was great and the air conditioning was amazing. Those are the only good things I can say. The bed is incredibly uncomfortable. You have to use all pillows for one person because they completely deflate within minutes. Dirt and grime in all corners. Some food was left on the floor, so I'm not sure it was cleaned recently. The curtains dont close, so the blinds are all that blocks the outside light, which is incredibly bothersome when trying to sleep. The TV is tiny and the connection was bad. The screen and sound kept glitching. The room is just rundown. For the prices that are charged, I would expect a much nicer stay.

I loved the service. I was disappointed at the fact of me getting a king room with a whirlpool and discovering after I paid that it wasn't available. That they were being transformed into a regular king room. They offered a free breakfast but I don't normally eat breakfast. I was very disappointed.
