Early check in is difficult to get for some reason. They say it’s subject to availability but I called multiple times when they told me to so they could check. They told me there was no availability. I even called a week prior to find out if I could have the request accepted. I arrive and see people checking in early even though we have arrived at the same time. It felt like we were ignored and didn’t matter as much as other guests.

The beds were not comfortable at all they were way to firm I also asked the front desk about parking and he told me it was 52$ per night however when I went to park and to leave back out to get a bite to eat I paid $18 just for 32 mins so everytime I left in and out it was a fee so he gave myself and several other customers the wrong information about parking and I didn’t like that at all

I was very dissatisfied. I didn’t get to stay at your hotel because when I got there they had no rooms for us. Even though I paid already. I would like to speak to some one.

Nice, spacious room. The parking lot right next to it does not have in and out privileges so it’s pricey but the location is great. Easy highway access

Excellent location, staff and amenities.
- 5/5
The hotel was clean, and the staff were very kind. The view from the rooftop restaurant and bar was lovely, and there were always sufficient equipment/machines available at the gym. The only drawbacks were the noise from frequent sirens on the busy surrounding streets at night and the limited number of restaurants and shops within walking distance.

Most everything was great. The location to my conference and points of interest was wonderful. The room was spacious and looked nice. I had a corner room with two walls of windows to really maximize the sunlight. This may have been one of the harder beds that I've slept on in a long while. Kind of a mix between a gymnast spring floor and a wrestling ring.

Pool was closed and they could not give an estimate as to when it would be available again. Went to VU and it took us 20+ minutes to get waited on. Pool finally reopened the next day and the bottom of the pool is deteriorating. Got locked out of the room because the door battery went out

Great hotel, friendly staff, very accommodating and loved the connection to the convention center and having a Starbucks in the lobby!

Location We booked a corner room for extra space and tried to check in 2 times during a volleyball weekend, denied both times that our room wasn’t ready yet then when we finally were able to check in after an extra half hour wait we received a middle room. Extremely disappointing and charged for a corner room upgrade. Will never stay there again after staying there for the last 2 years!!

This is my first time writing a review about a hotel. No towels in the room following rooms service, the escalator opens and closes few times before takes your to the lower level, the staff checked in someone to my room while still reserved under my name at 2 am which was very unpleasant and scary experience for family. Very poor level of management and on hold to speak with someone at the front desk for a long time. I don’t recommend this hotel to anyone.
- 4/5
The location is great. Lots of really good food around. I suggest Pizano’s. Parking is right in the back and very easy to get to. Pool area was really nice and clean with good towels. The beds. They were hard as a rock. Great pillows and blankets.

The front desk staff. I came in stood for 10min as there was 4 staff & only one was working the other 3 didn't acknowledge me, one was playing on his phone, other was play in her hair & the third was just tapping keys like she was working.

Clean room, had what appeared to be free laundry but you need your own detergent. Bed was comfy. HVAC system a little loud. Has fridge and microwave. Includes water and trail mix and has the famous Hilton cookies. I felt location was a bit lacking in terms of options to buy snacks and drinks affordably. It is excellent if you want to be near Chinatown, the convention center, even relatively walkable to Museum campus.

The room was clean and comfortable. All of the staff that I met were so friendly.

Clean Holding $75 on my card and didn’t stipulate until I was at the property. That needs to be known up front when booking the hotel room no excuses. Also I came in after the hours the door man hesitated to let me and looked me dead in my eyes. Wasn’t able to get in until another patron enter as I stood off to the side.

It was really clean and it was really close to where we were going. The beds were so hard!! I thought my back was going to break!! They didn’t have my reservation because the booking.com agent didn’t transfer my dates!! Thankfully I had a confirmation email!! They had to put us in a room with 2 queen sized beds and not one with a King sized bed!! We actually left a day early, which we didn’t get that money back.

Nothing Everything about the hotel I didn’t like the staff was so rude and not welcoming at all ….. I paid for my two rooms together they tried to put my rooms so different room because they didn’t have enough conjunct rooms so they say …. I was very upset and not happy at all on top of tha it was my birthday weekend couldn’t be better

Convenient location for my plans and friendly staff.

Very nice hotel. Loved having Starbucks onsite. We ended up with a corner room which was very spacious. Only downfall was they have no valet parking service so we parked in outdoor lot behind hotel which ran $52. Good pizza places nearby and walking distance to Wintrust arena and Wintrust. Front desk staff was very nice and accommodating

This was the worst hotel stay I have ever had! I don’t even leave reviews, so the fact that I’m taking the time out to do this is not like me. The TV, TV remote, phone nor AC worked in my hotel room. When I informed the front desk I was told me a rude man that the hotel is completely booked and they’re unable to move me into a new room. So anytime I was in my room I was cold, unless I sat in the bathroom with hot shower water running, and staring at walls and out the window. Then I ordered food from the rooftop restaurant. HORRIBLE IDEA. I even told the restaurant that everything I had either tasted undercooked, old or like dog food. I told them that I only took one bite out of everything explained to them I can’t eat this and they would not refund or exchange the food. Worse experience ever literally

The room cost more than what the app quoted, the pool was really gross, and the breakfast was not near what we where expecting and some several small print things that should not be, those small detsils are what makes the difference for families. There's a few more things but i have already spent too much time explaining this to the hotel and on here, and for what reason really? What's in it for me really?

Staff assured me before booking that i could use app to check in and get a digital key for my daughter who was going to be there significantly earlier than I. Refused to issue her a key when the digital one wasnt working. Over 4 hours unable to check in and ended up having to get a different room elsewhere so she wouldn't be stranded another 5 hours til my arrival. And of course its nonrefundable, which is why i called ahead and made sure there would be no issues

Room was very clean and the cleaning staff was very attentive. Front desk staff was kind and efficient. Ambiance of the hotel was festive for the holiday. Very nice short stay with walkable food options right by the hotel.
- 5/5
Checking in and out was a breeze, everyone was friendly and helpful when needed. Didn't have much interaction but zero conplaints with the ones i did. The room was comfortable and clean, the drain for the bathtub was a little slow moving but went down. Everything here was great, i would reccomend and will return in the future when looking to stay in the area.

- 2/5
Room was stale smelling and there was no hot water. Thin walls, could hear everything the people in the room next to me were talking about. The elevator smelled like strong cheap cologne and raspberry body spray, also cheep. When I tried to call, the phone just rang until eventually it disconnected.
- 5/5
The room was spectacular, met our needs, very clean, and the staff was very nice.
- 5/5
From the moment you walk in you are greeted by friendly staff. They let you know if you need anything just ask. The valet parking was a bonus. The only down side is you get 3 in/outs. Love the fact you have to have a key to use elevator, pool, laundry and fitness center. There is places in walking distance. An amazing pizza joint (2 min) soilder field (10 min) The breakfast was good but it does cost a pretty penny ($72 for 3) the menu is limited and they automatically charge gratuity.

Not the best area of town. Bed was not very comfortable, room wasn't very clean. On the bright side there is access to a Starbucks from the lobby. I would not stay there again, especially given the other nearby options.

Easy to walk to Soldier Stadium, Chinatown, and easy access to public transportation. Valet parking was easy and quick. Enjoyable
- 5/5
Very accessible to all downtown activities in Chicago
- 4/5
Would’ve been nice to know that roof top bar was closed sooner.
- 1/5
We arrived 25 minutes before check in time at 4 pm. We stood in line for checkin-got up to the desk and were told to come back in 25 minutes when we will start assigning rooms. There was already about 50 people waiting in the lobby for their rooms….after a long day to a lobby full of people waiting for rooms because the staff wouldnt assign rooms until after 4 pm. Seriously-just check people in. If the rooms are ready, which they all were then why make people angry and just give them a place to go. Get off the power trip…
- 5/5
The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean, and extremely quiet for a room in downtown Chicago. We would gladly book here again for a future stay in the Windy City.
- 5/5
Perfect for our event at Wintrust Arena.

Always pleasure to stay at Hilton. Staff is friendly and professional. The rooms are comfortable and clean. will always stay at Hilton.
- 5/5
Stay was great and loved the bridge to the McCormick Place as it made travel to my conference seamless. I did not receive the rate I expected and that I selected, so this will eliminate this property from use for future conferences.
- 3/5
The stay wasn’t terrible, however I did not care for the rudeness of one staff member. Also, everytime my partner and I went to the lobby we felt incredibly judged by the glares. They also double charged me for the room and would not help with refunding the second charge, I am still fighting it.

The staff were great. The room wasn’t clean…toilet had dirt and stains on top and in the commode, shower head rusty, shower curtain full of holes, the room was sub-par at best. I come ready to disinfect, but I had to clean…where is my check??

Would recommend staying there again Lots of stuff around the hotel to do
- 5/5
Were met.
- 5/5
The hotel was very clean and comfortable. The staff that I encountered were friendly. From the moment I checked in I was greeted and had real conversation with the two gentlemen at the desk…who were also helpful in giving me a brief lay of the land. The service staff was nice as well and the person who cleaned my room was kind and respectful.

Expensive Snooty - pay extra for everything
- 1/5
We were at this hotel because our son was in a competition the next day. There was very loud music playing till very late. The hotel started a text thread with me to ask if everything was ok when I checked in. When I texted them on the same thread as it was getting late and the music was not stopping I did not get any response. We did not sleep well which did not help my son in his competition the next day. Not the place to stay if you want a quiet night of rest.
- 5/5
Loved it no complaints at all great greet great atmosphere
- 5/5
I love this place I enjoy my mother's day and thank u for the cookies 😊😊
- 4/5
First room smelled of marijuana and the staff changed my room to another which was smell free. The snack area is self serve and easy to use - it would be nice to have fresh fruit options (apples, pear, orange - things which keep well long). Check and check out were with very friendly and helpful staff
- 5/5
I spent one night at Hilton Garden Inn and enjoyed my stayed. The accommodations and staff were great, the room was clean, and the space/floor was quiet. I’ll likely rebook in the near future for conferences in the area, especially considering the lower price.
- 4/5
The area is walkable, lots of things to do but, parking is very expensive and hard to find!
- 5/5
The room was amazing and the property was beautiful. We were disappointed that breakfast was not included. Parking was also a bit of an issue unless you were willing to pay for valet. Otherwise we had a good time.
- 1/5
Can’t find my reservation
- 3/5
Check-in was smooth, and the front desk staff were excellent—friendly and efficient. The room was spotless, and housekeeping was consistently thorough and kind. Daily cleanings were a huge plus. The location was perfect for the nearby conference. However, I had to adjust my dates and was charged a steep fee. The hotel’s rigid “no change, no cancellation” policy felt overly strict. I won’t stay at another hotel with such inflexible terms. The biggest issue was valet parking. They use a text system for car requests—sometimes you get a confirmation, sometimes not. When going downstairs, the valet staff often had no idea if the car was on its way, manually sorting through tickets to check. They frequently double-parked my car, forcing me to enter/exit from an active traffic lane, which understandably frustrated other drivers. Valets also kept changing settings—seat, mirrors, radio, climate, even the automatic lights—without resetting them. Each request came with a paper tag, which felt wasteful and left pink slips in the car. On the last day, I was rudely told I was nearing their “3 per day” limit, even though I only requested the car 11 times during a 6-night stay. Great staff and location, but the valet experience and inflexible policies were dealbreakers.

Good job
- 4/5
This place is great if you’re going to the convention hall! The staff is wonderful and helpful. The paid breakfast however is very limited. Also, the water took about 5 minutes to get hot.
- 5/5
Staff was great, very helpful especially with luggage storage after check out
- 5/5
The property is very clean. It has a bridge connector to the McCormick Convention Center, very concinient to avoid the weather. The Rooftop Bar offers great selection of breakfast and a nice view for drinks at night.
- 3/5
Evenings WAY TOO LOUD, past midnight! House music drowns out tv and made it difficult to sleep.

Very nice property, bathroom was left full of hair and mold in the shower
- 4/5
The staff are very helpful. This hotel is usually packed with people so check in and check out can be a bit complicated

Experience was great. It was quite busy for a conference and of course st. Patrick’s day. The location wasn’t ideal but it worked. They gave out complimentary cookies which were delicious

The hotel and staff were very nice. Breakfast at the Vu Rooftop was so good and reasonably priced (gratuity is already added to receipt). One minor problem was the TV cable was not working the first night.

If you have anything going on at the McCormick place I would recommend this hotel. They have a skyline bridge for you so you can leave your coat at the room.
